Hello everyone,

I would like to inform you guys that there is another phishing attack taking advantage of the blockchain.info XLM giveaway.
I hate to see someone loses their money so I want to warn you.

Below is the screenshot of the email I received.

And on that email it contains a form to claim XLM.

I have reported the form twice but Google Support seem to not care.
And on that form it also contain a link to a fake blockchain.info when you click JOIN WHITELIST inside this link: http://www.get-stellar.site/
It somehow led me to enter my blockchain.info login credentials.

Another cheap attempt to steal money from unknowing people. Good thing you reported it so others may also know. I personally do not open any email from addresses I do not recognize or those that I did not participate/subscribe.

I got scam email too, but its redirect me to stellar giveaway and you must need to put 12 seeds, since blockchain doing stellar giveaway, this time they probably got a lot people to scam. I forget the email since i already deleted it yesterday.

When you receive email from ANYONE that you didn't email first and they want to give you free stuff, DELETE.

Don't led greed win. If greed wins, you lose.

I think that most people will not think about who sent them this letter and will open it, and people hungry for profit will open it.

Everytime I get emails like this, I immediately report as phishing to protonmail. I would be surprised if some people are still falling for this kind of scams.

Thanks for the warning, I hope nobody fell for this cheap scam. Always be careful when receiving such emails to avoid losing your precious coins.

Yep. How sad it would be if someone entered the fake XLM airdrop like this.

This idiot scammer will always stuck on that phase, they are never learning about it. Not only from blockchain but whole of scammers are creating phishing attemp used the name almost of all icos. I have received more than tens emails about phishing from scammer in a day lol

I don't think you have to keep preaching this to people because they should have known that already and if we see someone looking for a cheap way to make things happen let him fall victim, nothing really bad will happen only for him to learn some lessons.

I believe they never stopped sending those spam emails any one who has don several airdrops and bounty campaigns will surely receive that on a daily basis we are the ones who need to be more careful these days about those mails we received never be too move no matter how impressive the content of the mail is, check if the link address is secure and don't enter your private information like password or pk to anyone claiming to reward you with it.

That is a lot of phishing emails you're getting. I only get them like 3-4 every week. I dont know where they got my email too but I guess our emails are no longer private due to bounties and airdrops.

Everyone getting similar emails every time. Then don't enter your private keys, KYC documents details or any details to unknown websites. Please check out websites links twice.

There is no way I will ever enter my private key for anything else ,I'm the type who doesn't claim hardforks because it requires private key ,I don't take such risks ,people have to be very careful and stay away from spam mail as well ,its always full of phishing

I hope no one got caught by that fake phishing scam, however I think when you want to login to your wallet from new device or new IP, you will need to confirm via email, so as long as you don't submit your email's password, it will still be fine.

Haven't you posted it wrong section/board? I think you should post it on Reputation, a sub board of Economy. Pleade move the thread. Anyway, those are available occuring daily. Be sure to check who is the email sender and his email address. No sites will send you email from unauthorized address.

Actually I don't believe any link from email and I believe most of them just a phishing link, if the email "look like" important, I'll copy the link and open in vmware, double verify the link will redirect to which url, remember to check the sender’s email address and ask for help in official community group to verify it's fake or true.

And do verify the proper url of the site you are entering your login credential into. Also look for a valid SSL certificate.
Only enter your password or private key if you intend to make a transaction. For checking balance, the wallet address is enough for most address you bear the private key of.

I received three invitations just last week but after landing on the site, I just knew it's a phishing site, it's so obvious because the domain is very much different from the actual site, if you are a newbie here you will likely fall for this.

Hahaha, I got emailed too by this f*cking scammers. I trolling them by filling out their form with pornhub email support (http://support@pornhub.com) and then I give them a new empty XLM wallet address... ;D ;D ;D

Can't imagine how they reaction when received and reading my form reply...  ;D ;D ;D
Be careful guys, don't be fooled by them. They just want to steal your money...

Unfortunately many do, some get blinded by greed 'free money' and some newbies get scammed being not aware.

It is good that you warn us about fraudsters. But to be honest, new messages from scammers come to my mail every day and I just don’t pay attention to it.

I also got an e-mail like that and I was lined up to fill out the form, but fortunately I did not have a balance there, now I have changed the password. It's a pity that there are people who do this.

Usually, I don't open such letters from unknown people. And of course don't click on their links. Hackers always want to get your passwords from exchanges and your private keys from wallets. Be careful

You actually did well by informing folks who are likely going to fall victim of the scam.
Whenever you receive any mail containing a link, if you are not too sure of the sources, it is advisable you do not click, because you never can tell, it might be a phishing site.
Some people who have been scammed in the past, were scammed through phishing links sent to their emails.
So you need to be careful, if you so much value your assets.

This is one of the reasons I am not in favour of the airdrops again, most people fall victim of this scams for how much, $10  and one would lose more than that. This is what I would advice people to do, install meta mask and cryptolite both helps to detect most if not all these phishing websites

yeah thanks for the info, but for sure you can check the connection secure, and that say not secure.
yeah i see that almost same like the real website, just becareful  if you want to login to your account.
i always get email like that, they say i get reward or airdrop, but i just ignore them because im not join any airdrop.

Thank you for this information. I think it will help protect at least some people. We should always be more attentive to any suspicious reports. I also always check the site before entering any data.

Thank you for the share. I happen to receive this phishing link also. Glad I haven’t visit since Im busy also but usually I tend to click and visit this kind of link especially if they are not being marked as spam by gmail.

That is a good warning to everyone. Make sure that we do not fill up those unwanted emails. And also, you can distinctively compare both of those two websites that are legit and not, because the scam website says their web address are unsecured.

Thanks OP for this post & be vigilant all this kind of phishing is old trick but still sadly a lot of innocent peoples falls under such scams & give out their each & every details in hope of money. I have seen so many phishing attempts on telegram as well as on twitter too who create fake profile of admins or famous twitter influencer.

We must be aware for this kind of phishing. However, I personally have ever participated in this kind of program, getting my Stellar from that Blockchain platform. However, I'm sure that we must be more aware of this kind of phishing because we don't know whether it is real or not.

I am tired of such fraudulent programs. how much can you have? need to do away with this on the cryptocurrency market

Yes, I also received such letters. Apparently, fraudsters do not know that there is no blochkchain.info site anymore, but there is a blockchain.com site.
Moreover, besides, they sent me such letters to an e-mail address, which was never used for blochchchain.info. Stupid attempt  :)

Thanks for the information. In this regard, I note that I also received emails for an alleged airdrop Binance, I have not investigated for lack of time but it could be a scam.

This is a nice one, scammers everywhere looking for what is not theirs, I actually received a similar email like this some time ago, but was too busy to check it out or open it,thanks for this information.

I never trusted online wallets. I think this is the least secure way to store your assets. If your deposit size exceeds $ 1000, then the first thing you had to do was buy a reliable hardware wallet. Such a purchase with a 100 percent guarantee will be able to secure your assets. Such a purchase is as a matter of prime necessity for every trader.

domain name : internal02.vpc.cb-sg.com as different blockchain.com.
We must be triple check before action!.

Phishing has been one of the major problem we are encountering in the Crypto space and something really needs to be done about it, firstly we need to ask how are this hackers about to pull out the email of people from the database of Blockchain.com, or is it possible that they sent a random message to both owners and non owners of Blockchain wallet, because if they are getting their data from Blockchain wallet, then they really need to do something about the security of the information they have in their possession to avoid hackers getting some sensitive details.

In the past many innocent people has lost there bitcoin to block chain.info mail phishing scam as fas as I know and many of these scammed victims instead start saying bitcoin is scam ,not all of them know that word' phishing' ,thanks for sharing this at least newbies will believe that phishing is real

Thanks fot the heads up. Its just that this hackers dont loses the tricks to their sleeves.Everyday they got their new tricks just to steal money so we should be very more careful.Thats why if I join such giveaways I always ask google for it or the site supports.

Only newbies fall to this attack, it is created for newbies, we all know that as cryptocurrency investors we should be very particular in the name and extension of the domain, in fact, some of us are using metacert, when visiting a new domain, I hope newbies will not fall into this, but if you are an old timer and you fall for it, it's your fault for not doing things correctly.

It's possible that they got their info elsewhere. Retrieving emails is quite easy - you can get info like that almost anywhere. People give away their email addresses very freely. On average, I think most people regularly receive spam email and its very likely for you to get phishing emails such as these. I'm sure wallet owners know how important and sensitive their information is and how vulnerable they'll be once they are compromised. Anyone just gullible enough would fall for phishing emails.

We should be careful in every step. Especially, the scam tries that have spread through mails have been present for a long time. Just should always be research about whether to be official.
