I know a lot of people who quitted their day job to trade in the cryptocurrency market.
But it was when the market was good.
In this bear market, they're struggling very hard to survive.
So I think the best way to invest is this :
Have a side job, cut down your expenses, then invest 10-20% of your monthly income in the market.This way you never have to worry about gain and loss and surely you have higher chance of getting rich because the market will recover in the long run!

That is a fact because many of my friends have finally left work in the real world and then concentrated in the crypto world, precisely in the world of trading. trading is one very interesting job because it provides many benefits for the perpetrators. Trading can be learned and our skills can increase when our experience increases. We all have the same opportunity to be able to make a profit, believe Trading can provide success for us all. This is an interesting type of work and also brings us a lot of money.

Quitting your job to go into trading, cryptocurrencies or forex is an asinine move and is not advisable anyone does that.
Trading is not something you jump into, rather you start from the bottom and grow. At this point you are not earning enough to sustain yourself. Only after getting a strong foothold and growing your profits can you take it as your sole source of income.

Yeah, that is right. You just should try as much as you can risk with risky things, when you face the decisions that will affect your own life. At least, according to price volatility it would be more appropriate to continue with Forex after learnning deeply.

Even if the market becomes good again, I will still not take the risk to leave my job just to trade because the profit here is not guaranteed compare to the fixed income that I can get from my job. Its good to set aside a small portion of your income and invest it when you’re ready to trade at no specific time.

I think I have a better way. I just keep my original investment, and do not spend any more FIAT on it, while trying to do gigs to earn crypto like answering surveys on earn.com etc.

Security wise, having your day job will secure your family while trading inside volatile market won't, having  a good position and invest spare money
will not do any harm just in case the market fells more, it's about decision making and how well you will going to take between secureness and risky
investment that can't assure you for bigger chances of success.

I like your concept and i am sure that a lot of peoples might be using this method to have lower loss compared to higher profits.
Investing 10% to 20% of your gross income will not make you worried that and also for long run the markets will surely jump some or the other day.
I have faith in cryptocurrencies and personally have about 30% of my gross income invested into cryptocurrencies.

In other words, you said its time to buy and hodl the token/coin we bought with 10-20% of our monthly income. That's a good strategy to deal with current market conditions, I think it can apply easily by many people in this forum.

Honestly that was the usual approach.

Those who left their day job to focus on trading surely didn't understand the risks they entered especially during the 2017 hype. It's just fine for me if they know the risks but if they just did it because of the hype then definitely that's wrong.

Some of them saw that doing crypto trades is a quick rich scheme therefore they focus on it. Since they are not used to deal on a big crash they didn't know what to. It leads to panic, regrets and failed strategy.

Moving forward, if they are eager to recover they can start again from scratch. There are lots of successful traders who also have day jobs and some of them even have their own businesses at the same time. That is dedication.

You may also add this on that list - spend time learning how to trade and how to analyze projects to invest into rather than just throwing 20% of your monthly income.

If you are just to invest just buy BTC,  hold it and back to your regular job. That's a better way to invest in crypto. Trading isn't as easy as it looks when you are not focused to it. If you invest on ICO you make sure the project will be up and running as early as possible so you won't have to wait long to profit, it may be too long for you but 2-3 years for me to hold a token isn't long enough.

I think to invest in ICO has more risky than trading, so it's not recommended for new member who just begun in cryptocurrency. We have to completely understand what the project they are running, it so difficult to select really legit project/ICO for now.

Only a fool that would do that, there is no way Trading is as good as your main job.
unless you have the capability to control the market, then everything is fine. But if you do not have any capability to change the flow, it is good to stick around with your main job and treat it as a playground, the most important thing that we need to understand when we are playing this game is afford to lose it all. You will not survive if you do that for a long time or when the market turned like this, the market is very unstable and we do not have the ability to see the future.

I Totally agree with you and what you have posted as it will make the traders not to over depends on the proceeds of they trading that they did not have hope of it coming.  Investment is a game of patience and you have to have other such of income for you to be able to be patience with the market.

This thread is half of what crazy people were ready to do in order to get more crypto before it was too late for them. Many people sold their house for investing to cryptocurrencies so i can't  imagine where they are living now. Trading can be dangerous if you don't have idea what you are doing..

It should be so your savings will be worth it and it will not lose easily. A better way to invest is when you know what and when to buy, yes you have the money but you should not forget first to learn. Having a stable job is also better than to do full time in trading which is too risky.

It have 2 things to prepare before to start in trading, first is your self(be sure you are knowledgeable enough) and 2nd is capital(enough capital and possible not from lending institutions). If you bring all of this things,  you'll certainly be making profit and no worries to pay interest from a lended money.

It's not a good idea to quit your day job and replace it with trading. Yes it good because you know have your freedom, no more 8am - 5pm schedule, no commute going to work, no traffic but the down side is the market condition just like what we have now. Price moves a little so if you only have a small capital with you, you will not feel the profits that you gained for the day. Make trading as your side job only. Unless you have other plans like running your own small investment group or company.

Knowledge is very important to be able to be successful even in the other fields.  Provided that you have enough capital but dont have knowledge still nothing happen and might possible that all your money will lost in your hand.
It is particularly that, you should have this things for the better result in the future.

This was during 2017 where crypto become bullish and almost coins are surging its value several times it seems its easy to esen money during those time but when 2018 entered market correction began and until now crypto price is struggling in the floor and i think lot of new investors sre losing money a lot. Your recommendation is very helpful as it makes people invest little by little with out too much worrying their losses.

knowledge is power but without power theres also no knowledge . thats a popular old  qoute but thats  true and i believe on it . we must have both of the traits in order to achieve the success in trading  . power means we have enough capital and battery ( for our gadgets ) to connect online and most important is the knowledge so that we can perform effectively .  trading is a good way if we already invest in crypto but aside from that , we can also do other things such buying and selling items using crypto as payment method . that is also a better option for growing our crypto  busines  .

Yeah there are now many people who prefer to trade cryptocurrencies than to focus in their job but most of them are now regretting their decision because of what happened in the market. We should always be careful on our decisions for us to fave less risks.

It aint a wise decision for me. Yes, at the start you could focus into trading but when you have the full knowledge with trading it will get easier and it wont eat a lot of time.

What will you do with those spare time? It is not a good reason to say "just so you could focus in trading".

For us to have high returns on making investment, we should be prepared to the risks that we are going to take and also we should have plan for us to easily overcome the unexpected situation that we are going to face.

I would like suggest you to gain complete knowledge about cryptocurrency before trading. You need to decide which coins will be best and trading exchange and need to decide about time to invest.

For sure no need to leave your job because we can easily carry both of them. The beauty of crypto currency investment is that it never distracts you from your other activities as you can do day job and at night you can spend some time with it the same way you can join bounties so that it will give you some additional income to invest further.

Its not that we can't treat cryptocurrencies as our major source of income as compared to other centralised jobs. Even cryptocurrencies have the stability to make us financially stable with huge turnovers. Investment in good schemes can also make us grow our profits just by watching the graphs. Your tips was nice and I don't see any wrong with it, in fact, since we are in bear market season the only things we can do for us to earn altcoins or bitcoin is to do day trade in the exchange depending on your trusted platform. We have so many options here for us to get a part time or sideline job here, you can participate in bounty campaign depending on your skills. Because in bounty we have here translation, social bounties such as Facebook, Twitter, Telegram, Reddit, Instagram, then content creator/youtube blog something like that.

I agree, people shouldn't make crypto trading as their main income, the market of crypto is really fluctuative and the bear market could last very long, its too risky to depend your basic need with the crypto trading, many of my friends regret to quit their job after experience the long bear market, make trading as your side income, if the market is not too good then just wait for longer term

That is what I have been doing all this while. We have to be smart and not greedy in order to earn money. This bear market has taken down many people's investments.
I can't believe what the people who left their day job for crypto must be going through in this bear market. Crypto is such a volatile market. If there are chances of getting rich overnight then there are equal chances of going the opposite way and I guess this is what has happened here. Playing safe while taking minor profits is the best thing to do when it comes to crypto ;D

Its not taken down investments made before 2017! There is a saying "don`t keep all of your eggs in one basket!" and this is what op is trying to say here with his example, with other words. In more different investments you take a part, more safe you are. Have something in gold, have something in crypto, have something in real estates, if one market goes down or suffer from any downtrend you have other investments and you don`t worry too much. Where the money comes from, job, investments, freelancing, or anything else that`s better, if one stuck you have other possibilities.

Oh my goodness, this is the first I read that someone here in the forum sold their house for investing to cryptocurrencies. If I am going to think about, that was a hard decision actually. Especially its been almost 1 year were crypto in this industry are facing bear market which is in bad situation actually. Doing trade here also was too dangerous, that's why We as traders are risk taker.

I also have some people among my friends who went into the trade in cryptocurrency in 2017. But they didn't give up their main job and did it their extra income. That's why the situation in the market that has developed now "beats" them not so much.

Yes considering the trading as main job will be most riskiest thing that we have made a decision like that we need some other business also while caring will not give the exact profit for us but doing trading is also be profitable when you do the right trading tricks and trading methods so this situation will be most profitable for a trader to get more profit.

Trading is really stressful and demands time,but definitely not to the extent of staying jobless,it doesn't demand that much time,its not improbable to combine trading with other duties,such as sports,job,recreation etc

Even if you have 'enough knowledge' there simply isn't a way to have it magically work in your favor. In the end, even the most skilled traders are purely guessing/betting that the price will go up or down. In that case it's more like an educated guess/bet, but you get the idea; there are no certainties in any market, you still expose yourself to plenty of risks.

People tend to overestimate themselves after a few profitable trades and up the amounts they allocate to each trade, and then burn themselves because the market doesn't always do what you want it to do. If you expect to profit off of each and every trade you are asking for problems. You don't have respect for the market and it's unreliable nature, especially here in crypto.

The important thing is we shouldn't quit our job just to be a trader. Using only small part of our montly income to try our luck in trading would be better instead of staking our future just in it. It depends on each person on how to manage their financial for both daily life and investment, but we shouldn't risk everything in a thing that is still uncertain. for sure those ppl who quitted their jobs is repenting now because of making mistakes decision . Even though they're all  knows that everything is just a tempory since forever doesn't exist.  For me in my opinion if i have stable job in real life i will never quit on it because we didn't know what will happen in the future. Indeed its a big help for us also to multiply our earnings . Especially for our daily expenses. Must manage the time instead to prevent regrets.

That's what you get if you want to become an instant millionaire. Sleeping overnight and expecting to gain profit the next day. It's not that easy and only a few people among the billion people around the world got rich with cryptocurrency. Better start looking for a job again if  someone quit their job as the crypto-market is not going to give you sh#t. Everyone is selling one after the other whenever there is just a tiny pump. If only everyone cooperates and not sell until a certain big price is reach, then we might see a better market. But everyone is so greedy on profit.

Why need to just get a side job when you can have a regular and permanent job ?then make crypto as a side job since they have already proven that in here there’s unstable profit.then you are right on the 10-20% may put as investments here and thats what most of us do now.relying on long term than daytrading

When someone quit their job means they don't have any source of income so how they can reinvest back into cryotos.But it is better to find a job for themselves in this market condition it will helpful to survive now and also reduce the risk of losing capital.

You can still hold or trade while you are working. Some of my employed friends bought bitcoinand some altcoin and for long term investments and others chose trading during their spare time. It is not good to quit your job to join the cryptocurrency trading because job provide you stable income and less risky. If your income or profits from trading is stable like your job then it is time to quit your job then stay focus on trading.

The investment that you should make is suitable to your skills and knowledge. You should have plan before making investment because if you will just invest your money in the cryptocurrency market, there is high possibility that you will lose your capital. I certainly agree with you. We can't rely everything in crypto so it is still important to get a job while waiting for the market to recover. Having a permanent job is better than entrusting our daily necessities to crypto which is volatile and unstable.

I do not have a "side job" but I am a freelancer and that is what I always do. I get my money in bitcoin form and keep that bitcoins in my wallet until I need them, I cash out small by small like 50 dollars each time unless I need to pay some bills that are bigger (once a month I get like 100-150 dollars) and whatever is left stays in my wallet in bitcoin form.

There is absolutely no need to turn into fiat currency and makes no sense to do so since I prefer to have my currency in bitcoin instead of the worthless fiat. I only do change it to fiat when I need to because society is not ready for a fully bitcoin world but whenever that happens and we no longer need to turn bitcoin into cash and just use bitcoin whenever we want then I will never change it to fiat again.

That's right. It is not advisable at all to quit your regular job for working full time only with cryptocurrencies. The level of risk is always high, so it is better to keep working offline, while you invest some amount of your money and time for crypto work.

With side job there sure will be enough space for life needs and investment in crypto. And the level of stress is reduced drastically, investor should not be so worried about it. Day trading is still the most preferable investment for me. Yes it is risky but I faith to my skills and knowledge. Even the market is still down,  I still earning profit because I keep using different strategies for me to handle the risks that I facing.

That's the right way we should take, not because we are not brave person but to protect our asset and built future with wise calculation. Side job/ alternative income is really needed not just just because red market but to recovery our needed. The biggest question is which one that I should take to replace my investment and if fails what should I do? those question need to answer before enter the market, trust me.

I think that's what most people do these days, especially when the market is in its bearish state. Myself, for example, I have a full time job, and I do all my cryptocurrency-related activities somewhat as a side job. So, whatever I get from it, whether there is income or not, I just keep it and don't rely on it that much. Most of what I get in the market, whether from investments or ventures, I just recirculate to the market for further and future investments, at least, that way, I am no using the money I earn from my job since I need it for my other needs, and especially, my family's needs.

Yes thats quite good method to do . But remember there is people out there that bought BTC at really low prices and probably sold some at ATH , so they don't need to worry about finding a job =D But yea 10-20% to put in crypto from wage you got at your job is good idea .

That's why not recommended to leave our main job just because we got a lot of profit when the market condition is bull. Except, you are an expert in crypto trading who can earn profit on any market condition.

Even expert are having problem with changes paces from the current situations, not unless you already a whale who can control the directions of the trend
then you can generate big income, but for simple  people/traders if you can hold with your current day job and you can invest portions of your earnings till the bull comes back is much better than risking your entire fate with crypto industry.

I can actually relate to this cause i too have quited my job to earn crypto currency through doing online jobs like bounty campaign and signature campaign's. It was really a good way to earn money cause its less hassle while in a regular job you'll get paid low amount salary for doing a very difficult job that needs to meet its deadline. I agree, it is better if we have a side job so that whatever the market situation it is we didn't worry but make it a chance to buy it in low price and earn more in the near future because cryptocurrency have a bigger chance to become widely used in our society on which can possibly give a huge demand on the market and make it more valuable.

It's not smart to quite the job until you didn't earn hundreds of thousands on crypto and convert it in fiat on time :) and any investments are risky so never invest more than you can loose without suicide thoughts! I also don't see that trading is good idea now, investments is better solution which can give good income later, but not invest the last money! The investmest that you will do should be depend on your capital. If you have a lot of money,  then make a investment with mining set for you to earn passive income. It is less risky than other investments like trading and participating in ICOs.

Gambling is also a good investment but it is not easy as you think because you need two things in gambling and these are luck and skills. I am not a professional gambler but I earn money from gambling. I do not prefer to make investment in it so you should carefully choose the most preferable investment for you.

Yes indeed many people leave their jobs to trade on cryptocurrency, when the market is still good and now when the crypto market is declining, income from crypto is unreliable. For this moment I'm also dizzy thinking about how to get money and now I can't fully expect income from crypto, on the other hand I really have to work

Leave jobs for fully in crypto means we must have a lot of skills not only in trading, because if we can't trade for example in market condition like this, we can get another things to do. But if we do reckless and not think about that, leave job is bad idea.

People always accepted good feedback from others and when they get negative this time he gets out of control and we fail.In 2017 this was a cryptocurrency year and many people were rich this time because they struggle past but some people join crypto heard from other left her job and than crypto market get down and also they lost their job .Now many people try to struggle for life who invest money after 2017 December but this market never down forever and some people will be successful who struggle now.

Good advice even too late for us right now, many people enter market with out alternative income, it will them bankrupt. Change our mindset about ways to invest is not easy specially if we already get income from crypto, but knowledge about risk is very important. Stay or not is your decisions but find alternative income is worth for you.

There are now many investment that I tried before and I for me; the best investment that we can do is cryptocurrency trading. I love to take risks and that's why I still trading cryptocurrencies. I can get high profit from it but the risks are really high.

just trading now is still difficult for us to get profits, because the current market conditions have not changed. so what we have to do is to be able to get that big profit by holding it until the market experiences major changes

Trading is always difficult, and the possibilities of losing is similar in the bearish and bullish markets. Trading is an art which is learnt, to be sure it's still a gamble and everyone loses at a point, with more experience one would profit more times than not, in any market.

Actually if people trade without analysis, maybe they still gamble with market. But they wouldn't lose all their money like in gambling system. But that still on pros and contras because some people disagree with that.

Quit from the job and spend all times for trading is not good idea because we can not guarantee we will make profit monthly,  we should be use trading activity as second job and we should be have others source  income.  Because the crypto  market or stocks market nearly unpredictable. Spend times 2 hours aday is enough for trading activity.

Me and other experienced traders or veterans has always said that you should not go full time on crypto if you don't have other source of income to support you. Trading in this type of market is not highly advisable to individuals who are average earners that who wants to quit.

Its really a tough decision giving up your daily job and focus for crypto trading but ifvyou are experience enough in day trading i guess its also a good decision but if you are s beginner or minimal knowledge in trading that would be a very risky decision. Actually, i think it's better to forget about bug profits first at this time because there's no reason to believe that can be acheived in the short term. Trading efficiently in a market with this kind of movement would only give you decent amount of earnings. Better to look at a long term plan if i were you.

Expectations of winning the lottery is different than one of becoming rich by investing in bitcoin. People saw and see bitcoin as some quick get rich scheme. And than get disappointed.

I totally agree with your method, I think that way too, because at this time to trade day it is very difficult for us to be able to get profits, so indeed we have to work in the real world and we can invest some of the money from our work, and indeed we must be able to believe that the crypto price will grow again, even though we cannot determine when it will occur.

All you have said is true. So this is why cryptocurrency is also called as a passive income because it can gain profit by simply holding and also you can have a stable job alongside with it. You can also put your savings on crypto rather than banks if you want to maximize your earnings.

Lol, people know this "strategy" already. This is nothing new. Actually everyone should follow this. They should never go all in with their money while investing on crypto currencies. They should only invest a part of money they can afford to lose. The market is unpredictable in the short run and you may lose everything within few minutes.
And people should never quit their job for trading in the market. A job will give them a guaranteed steady flow of income, but trading won't.

Apart from these, I think people who have decided to invest in cryptocurrency should spend some time to gain knowledge on whatever crypto coin they want to invest in. You should probably clarify what do you want, I can suggest you to invest in ICOs you can enrich yourself but depends on what you want, you can try DexAge great project and concept also you can try Grin or any else. Indeed, trading is not that easy were once you decide to do it, it doesn't means its to get earn here. Of course not!  Trading need research first in the coins you are going to buy, then you must also know about the basic knowledge in trading too. Yes trading can be consider as a sideline job because not all times the market is in good condition . stable jobs that pays in fiat are more guarantee because they provide sucessive income for a longer time  . many want to apply for a job offline but the problem is that applying a real job is also hard than most people think .

Those people who's did you mean really had bad decision to their life because they switched their stable job for this crypto that does not have assurance when will be last. I also have job, but i never think to quit because i can actually performed it both. Time management is very important, don't just focus in one thing.
