I normally just straight invest in the coins that I like, but as trading bots are becoming more and more "accepted" I'm curious to learn more about how they work.
Still not sure I ever want to use one, but it is a curiosity.

you right, ithink also. Trading is not main job. but trading is side job. trading is nobody know when you will get profit or when you loss. so, if you survive with trading i think it's wrong. because if you only trade for survive your live i sure you cannot.

Crypto volatility is so high and, if we are lucky enough, we can get good benefits when one or more of our coins increased in price significantly. Good quality about the project quality can be found but its impossible to find the price of it,even the good projects may get failed same times.

So we can just hope that the investment is not going to be complete fatal that is why we need to diverse while investing.
