I would like to welcome you to the forum first. Be sure to read the forum rules. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0)

If you don't have experience in trading, you shouldn't trade. However, you have an option to buy and hold which is what majority of the people do. You don't have to be good in analysis and experience if you are long term in bitcoin. But if you want to gain experience and knowledge in trading, you can try it with an affordable amount just for learning a lesson.

right now its again goin down
no it is not.
going down means going from $3500 down to $3000 or even $2900 and lower. but when price goes from $3500 to $3400 that is not considered "going down" it is the normal daily fluctuations.

Quote
they way bitcoin straggling some people say it's going down below 2500$
just because price is not rising it doesn't mean it is "struggling" and it doesn't mean it is going to go lower either.

i don't have much experience in trade and analysis bitcoin and i don't know which one to follow.
then don't try to trade bitcoin!

unfortunately "experience" is not something that people can transfer to one another through comments. experience specially trading experience is something that can only be gained by actually being in the market yourself.

Agreed. If the market could be directed by the transfer of all the information, the price would never change.

Because everyone would try to do the same thing at the same time.

You must gain experience yourself. And you shouldn't forget; Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies contain too much risk and opportunity. And, unfortunately, you will gain your own experience ...

If you have no experience in trading just like many other bitcoin investors here, don't trade. But if you are still interested in the bitcoin market, just buy and hold to protect yourself from future loss because bitcoin market is in downtrend. If you buy and hold today then, you gain when market starts to recover when it happen.

If I say bitcoin will go up next month, what will you do? Will you start buying now and keep holding because I said it will go up? Be careful not to act bbased solely on other people's opinion

If anyone knew for sure which way the price was going they would put a short or long in and make tons of money off it.

Nobody knows.

i know is impossible but could use people's opening about it. and i might learn something new that will be helpful in future.
thanks

well in my experience if you want to learn how to trade in this market you need to take two steps.
the first step is to learn the basics of trading, maybe even some technical analysis. this step shouldn't take so long and there are a lot of resources online that you can use if you do some search about "trading" as a general term. for example you can read the website called "investopedia" for some great articles.
the second step is to get your hands dirty. the good news is that you can start with a small amount of money, you don't have to invest a huge amount to be able to be allowed to enter the market! you don't have to trade at first either. just look at some charts and try to put what you learned in step one in use. try speculating and see how good you are doing without buying, then start making some trades to get the feeling of the market. after a couple of months you should be familiar with how things work or know whether trading is for you or should you not bother with it.

I read the above messages and agree that trading technique are not transferable, but what I believe is one can learn trading by reading good books and observing Technical analysis of experienced traders.

Following are few things that I had followed while I was learning trading.
1. Read good articles.
2. Following good traders and strategist
3. Learning how to apply Ichimoku, Fibonacci and other indicators and stratagies.
4. Applied the learnt indicators and strategies on the chart and published on trading view and monitored the price.
5. Did paper trade.
6. Did trading on test nest.
7. Understand the mistakes behind my lossing trades
8. How to CLOSE MY LOSSING BETS AND LET THE WINNING TRADES RUN.
9. How and when to use Stop limit, Take Profit, trailing stop loss, Take profit Limit etc.,

You can have book mark good news (https://coinswitch.co/news/) channels for price prediction and also join some of the groups in telegram. DO NOT INVEST BLINDLY do apply your Technical analysis before investing.

Currently, we are still in bearish market but 2020 is next halving which may act like catalyst. Also, do keep an eye on alt coins few are performing good and it is always good to have portfolio.

NO. it is not. and you should stay away from any kind of "signal" service in my opinion. they all out there to rip you off and take your money one way or another.
there is an old stock market saying that goes like this: if the market experts were so expert, they would be buying stocks not selling advice".

people sometimes share their speculation with each other though. like on tradingview.com but you shouldn't confuse that with "signals".

Don't ever follow any suggestions here in the forum since not all of the people here are experienced trader or professional traders no traders or experienced trader will give you a tip or a hint for free in here there's no free in today's society everything must be paid especially those professional traders and if anyone ask you to focus on altcoins and ask to join in a "PUMP GROUP don't join because it's a scam.

I suggest to study on your own do your own trading and earn experience. The best way to start is to invest a small amount and after that invest a high amount

Bitcoin is going by the way of it's scaling.
It is actually going down and we are not least expecting that, just that we don't expect it to stay this long.
If you are conversant with the crypto currency news, you will be able to speculate the coming of bull run around the middle of the year. So it will be up soon.

Hi you can see i am new to bitcointalk if i make any mistake please let me know.
i have been watching bitcoin 1.5 year.  that time bitcoin price was around 5500$-6000$ than bitcoin price started to rise. just in few month bitcoin rise up it's all time high 19000$+-23000$+. a lot people starting see very good in bitcoin and invested but than from new year price started to go down.  right now its again goin down when everyone hoping it will reach 4000$. they way bitcoin straggling some people say it's going down below 2500$ some say its going to start climbing again to broke it's al time high. i don't have much experience in trade and analysis bitcoin and i don't know which one to follow. so if anyone has good experience in trade and analysis in bitcoin please suggest which way bitcoin price is going.
Thanks

Analysis will not work for telling what will happened even how professional it was made. Overall it will just be a speculation.

No one knows what will happen and that's the thing you must understand here. In your 1 year and 6 months of watching the bitcoin price, you should understand by now how volatile crypto is. What you must study is how to deal on that kind of scenario and not just expect a good price movement every now and then.

That's how risky putting money on crypto is. You must have sets of strategy to deal on different instances.

I wonder why not OP go for studying the price movements for last 10 years rather than watching for 1 year and 6 months of time. It would hardly take one or two days to make a conclusion on which way bitcoin price is going.

Bitcoin prices may remain volatile and not showing big up trends in short term but I am sure by end of this year we may have prices around $10k. Why and how ? This is possible because of new adopters and new investors of bitcoins. Bitcoin investments are not risky for long term planning. Bitcoin is designed to have values in millions in coming years but in last 10 years it gained value only in thousands from zero value in initial days.

I never agree that investing on bitcoin is risky (probably it is risky with respect to other cryptos) when we plan for long term. I like to suggest OP to go for investing with bitcoins after studying price movements of bitcoins for last 10 years and planning for long term is must, more importantly a long term plan should be made only with the money which are affordable to lose.

Nowhere but up [this is what i believe].
A crypto analyst thus said, "the most popular Bitcoin projection is that it will continue to rise". The only question is when. According to most crypto experts, Bitcoin will do greater things this year. They even predicted that by end of 2019, it’ll get to almost $20,000, just like at the end of 2017. Wow, this is huge. But then again we can never know for sure.
To begin with, Bitcoin is one currency that is difficult to predict. It's prices changes everyday [every minute].
Do remember that investing in Bitcoin [or any other cryptocurrency to be exact] is full of risks. It can acquire you profits or you lose a lot of money - either way.

From increasing so high and then falling down, it will be a risk that crypto fans have to face, and therefore never make a choice without first research.

I think you are not new in cryptocurrencies and that God you have been following the market for long.  I think bitcoin is currently in downward trend and we are here since when bitcoin was around 0.007$ and $500 . I think we can not really said it has done very bad generally but it has done a bit well.

There is a general opinion shared by most that the price could reach very high value in the long-term, a couple of years. There is no certainty, but it's a better bet than trying to predict short term price changes which are rapid ans inconsistent.
Only invest money you can spare.

Welcome. I think is better this days to not trade and wait for a longer if you have bitcoin, and holding what you have because this days, is hard to predict what will happen and is hard to get a fast profit and you can make mistakes.

If anyone knew for sure which way the price was going they would put a short or long in and make tons of money off it.

Nobody knows.

i know is impossible but could use people's opening about it. and i might learn something new that will be helpful in future.
thanks
You can learn how to use the price movements and by these you can see where the price is going but its hard to know that since the market is not doing good right now that makes its price more unpredictable. No one knows the exact way we are heading but I know good things are still in the market especially in the long run.

Dollar cost averaging is your friend. You will be happy in both the good times and the bad.

That's what I have been doing as well. It's pointless to fight the market and constantly wait for something to happen. Go with the flow and buy the market down. I don't give a single shit if it keeps going down, I'll buy it down till the bottom. By the time the price bounces back up again you'll be so glad you bought in, while a lot people waiting and waiting will end up opening threads asking whether or not it's a good time to buy at x price.

Just pull the trigger. There was no trigger back in 2017 where people couldn't be stopped from buying all the way to the $20,000 level, while right now people are too afraid to even touch Bitcoin. ::)

Split your free to invest capital in smaller parts and buy every 10% dip from here. Easy peasy.

Of course there is no 100% sure thing. Trading is about taking risks based on probabilities, not reading crystal balls. Nobody knows for sure, but most experienced traders could have told you in early 2018 that we were probably entering a long term bear market.

Things are a bit murkier now that we've dropped 84% from the ATH, but it's still safer to keep betting on the downtrend. The trend is your friend until it ends. :)

Thanks
At first I want to say that 2 years ago people were dreaming to reach 1000$ but as you see it rised up to 20x. Now it's very low, 6k-7k would be good price range but shit, it falls and falls. I think finally it will reach it's all time high because imagine, there is another halving coming which will hugely boost price because people have very positive mindset on link between halving and price rise + miners will earn half amount of bitcoin of what they earn nowdays.

If you don't know how to trade then go and study the basic, there will be a lot of sideways in 2019, many expert predicted the price won't be too good in 2019, not a lot rising will happen and we need to prepare for the continuous bear market, this is the correct time to buy, but you will need to hold for a longer time

That is too limited, never follow the recommendations of anyone when it comes to investing, there are many people following the advice they see from experts on television and most of them lose because everyone else watching those shows is doing the same thing, if you want to be profitable then you need to find the way to profitable by yourself, that does not mean you cannot use the knowledge of others and learn from them but when it comes to making profits you are alone.

bitcoin will not be able to provide a good price movement for this year, maybe bitcoin can provide a price increase when it will approach the halving moment of bitcoin as it did a few years ago which made bitcoin prices rise and become very expensive, I see it will probably happen in 2020, and in 2019 the price of bitcoin will not be able to provide more profits.

for this year the condition of bitcoin prices seems to be experiencing a very long decline and down trend will continue until bitcoin has good news that can make prices go up again, you should be able to take advantage of these conditions to get as much bitcoin as you can because of the price very cheap.

There is only two possibilities

1- we have already dipped and now the trend is at the accumulation zone
2- We are near the dip (double bottom is also possible at the 3.1k USD). And after few weeks the trend will be in the accumulation zone.

I think the probability of the second option is higher than the first one.

And then again it's still speculation, we do have to consider things that might affect the current situation, whales are loving it and they
just can interrupt and shake everything again, though there's really an accumulations that could be starting now as we are still
seeing strong grounds within 3k$ mark, chances that after this position it can fly high again and bring the bull back, still observing
what news will hype the investors and traders to buy in.

If you are searching for an expert about talking about the future then you can never find them here ever. They don't exist and no one could such predict what would be the future will be, people may speculate only but they don't predict exactly what would happen in the future.

Don't stress your self up with looking what could be the future just look at the news and the price movement of the market, it's enough to give you an idea where the market would be headed.

It is still going wonky for now. I mean it went down a bit but it didn't went down by that much, sometimes it goes down like this then it follows with an increase to over 4 thousand dollars then it goes down again. This has happened multiple times now. SEC thing even got cancelled and its still around the same prices when everybody believed it would go down a lot.

I really don't know anymore and it really scares me because nothing really moves bitcoin anymore. Unless something HUGE happens I feel like we are going to stay at the same 3-4 thousand levels forever, like something needs to happen and this price needs to change otherwise we are not going to see a bitcoin that is more than this current prices. It really needs to move and it needs to move now, I don't care even if its going down at this point, I just want to see it alive.

Because bitcoin is volatile, no one knows the movement of bitcoin, it can become increasingly falling or rising up and to get a profit, you must dare to speculate.

No one knows or can predict future price movement, but you are free to check charts and see where bitcoin price was yesterday, day before yesterday or even few years in the past. Some people even use this chart analyses for predicting future price movement, imagine that!
Where price of bitcoin is going, up and down, only two possible directions. Some of us earn from that, sometimes its very easy, sometimes you need to wait for some upertrend, in my experience that always comes, sonner or later.

I think that if we don't see any improvement during the first quarter then we are in a bit of bad luck to see a bigger decline in the market during this year. I am afraid of the summer period especially. Not any specific clue but I have that feeling.
We need as a community to try to push the positive news of Bitcoin in the real world applications in order to attract more people.

Be careful what you wish for

As you just might get it finally. This "stability" is very deceptive. It is not the first time we see prices moving in a tight range (though it is definitely longer than usual), but it always ends in a powerful breakout. You may be sure you are not the only one who feels the same way as many traders are not happy with this market either. And to earn as before they have to narrow their trading ranges in such environment and add to their orders

It means that the range between major support and resistance levels is diminishing. At first it leads to price being sort of locked in between the narrowing walls, and this is what we actually see now. But ultimately, when the resistance or support is finally broken, there will a mighty price action either to the upside or downside as it always happens. And I don't think things are much different now (even though it may take longer than usual)

If we describe the situation very generally, then at present the price of Bitcoin is in a state of consolidation that will last several months, and then a new growth phase will begin, in my opinion this new phase will begin in the second half of this year.Although it may happen that the entire 2019 Bitcoin will not rise above 4000.

You have to start knowing the world of bitcoin from now on, don't keep waiting because the situation cannot be ascertained. the market is currently not good. the possibility of you getting a profit is quite small. however, you will be patient and practice your abilities. rest assured that the more experience you have, you have the opportunity to achieve success. so don't wait for the situation to improve, do it from now on and let yourself get a valuable experience.

Early this year bitcoin fall from $4165 to around $3399 and currently we are seeing it recover again.  I think the generality of the cryptocurrencies market is waiting for the next bull and what will trigger that is what we are all waiting for.  The market downwards trend last year has affected every thing and I think we can say bitcoin is still in downwards trend in terms of directions.  If you have been in this market for long you will agree with me that the market is going to recover in a big way once people could see reason to invest.

The price of bitcoin is unpredictable as we have witnessed it from last year that those crypto experts had failed to predict the price which continuously fall below our expectations. I don't believe on what people spreading as we have many FUD in this technology. Do your own research and get involve in trading to gain enough experience that can motivate you to decide on your own. It takes time to gain experience because we have different situation as the market changes everyday and don't afraid to try new things. Looking on bitcoin for a long term has a brighter future which needs patience to stay us on track with the market volatility.

In fact, no one can predict which way the price will go. If we knew it, we would all be rich. We can only guess that after such a long period of falling prices, now the situation should change. However, we can not be sure if this is the end of the price drop, because the price can also drop to $2000 and then will start to grow. It's an unpredictable market and pure speculation.

No doubt its too much difficult to predict. Either the price will go high or will decrease more, but in fact there are so many experienced investors who have good knowledge about the nature of the market and I have heard from some experts that very soon the bitcoin price is going to recover soon. I hope now its time to do some more investment and make our position more strong.

Many can confirm that the way the bitcoin goes and what the price will be is very difficult to predict in the future. There can be predictions, but nobody will guarantee 100% confidence in this direction.
In my opinion, we have the worst behind and look at the market optimistically. Anyway ATH will not be so soon, even though bitcoin is known worldwide. When the bitcoin stagnates, the altcoins go up.
Bitcoin investments are valuable in the future, but it is also good to invest in altcoins - ltc, eth, and so on.

Because bitcoin is volatile, no one knows the movement of bitcoin, it can become increasingly falling or rising up and to get a profit, you must dare to speculate.

I won't conclude that way if ever we will not see any good improvement in the first quarter, I won't conclude either if this year it's still the same as last year. Look, crypto is new to people, it needs time for improvement and while we are seeing some good development inside, sometimes it could not affect the price due to the fact that FUD is still here, some people also can manipulate the price.

Well i think ultimately the price is meant to go up since i don't think that the 20k ath is already bitcoin's peak. But the road towards that would be very long and weay even have another yearly low this year who knows. If you're in this for the long run then good for you since the market may be very profitable in the future.

Every way can possible affect the price of the bitcoin like when they have news if it's good or bad news it will have affect on the bitcoin value. Also to the influence of famous people who are willing to invest and ignore bitcoin can cause dumping and pumping. If all of us are love and care about bitcoin we can see the value of the bitcoin rise and everyone will gain too much money.

As the market is speculative every news getting out related to the cryptocurrency network is much important. The recent price increase of bitcoin showed the positive growth which is completely a gradual growth without any kind of speculation or manipulation. Later the price fall is suffered due to the drop in trading market in large scale. Soon we can expect the recovery from the drop that has happened recently.

The price of the bitcoin almost reach the high of $4200 the previous day before it entered into consolidation again. I believe that the top coin will continue its uptrend in the weeks for its short term growth.
If you are new to bitcointalk and still no experience in trading then you should educate yourself first on cryptocurrency and trading. Be sure that you are prepared before joining the risky world of cryptocurrency and always follow the main rule of invest only the money that you can to lose.

I think it's fine for the type of market phase that Bitcoin is in (Accumulation), according to Wyckoff's theory, which, this time we have to wait to see how the market reaction will be in about 15 days, if will consolidate in a zone of liquidity and lateralization, to decide to raise and correct at a much lower price than now.

Bitcoin is passing by the method for it's demand and supply. It is really going down and we are not least anticipating that, simply that we don't anticipate that it should remain this long. In the event that you are acquainted with the crypto news, you will probably theorize the happening to bull go around the center of the year. So it will be up soon.

If anyone knew for sure which way the price was going they would put a short or long in and make tons of money off it.

Nobody knows.
That is the truth.  Nobody know were bitcoin is heading to and that means it is highly very difficult for us to predict the market directions accurately.  Though we still have some technical indicators that can still tell to some extent were bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies market price are heading to.

Two months ago, I thought we would still reach three-digits. Back then, highs were getting lower and the market sentiment was very bearish, with more threads of hope and faith in the forum than we have now. When you see people praying for bitcoin, you know its going dark.

Two weeks ago, I noticed the price tanked around 3k, and now Im seeing higher lows. Instead of threads of hope and faith, now I see people doubting bitcoin will rise, which is analog to a situation I saw in 2017. Back in 2017, people doubted that polish astrophysicist prediction, and we know how it ended. So, I believe it is going up from here.

I don't see any reason why price of Bitcoin will go up or we will break from the bear market. Still I see its going to move sideways and up slightly. No upcoming events to look forward to that will have an impact to the price. The only thing that we don't want to see are the negative news that always makes an impact to the price of Bitcoin like a big exchange site that got hacked.

THe most important thing in cryptocurrency investing is trust because this is a volatility market and everything you buy will have 2 option,
to go up and bring you profit instantly or go down which will you feel losing but not, because if you buy a legit coins or tokens then you will
surely make a profit but only taking longer time.thats why you need to trust each investments.never look for instant profit instead look for
the longer perspective in which cryptocurrency is the future of all currencies so the benefits is not today or tomorrow but in future

what if the price fails to increase after you bought it ? this is the case that usually happens  . people buy at a stable or mid rates because they see that the price is showing signs of growth but eventually the price drops after they already start to hodl .

Quote
sell bitcoin because bitcoin will fall down

selling too early isnt a good idea  . id rather wait more a little longer because the price of bitcoin can always recover and increase the longer it runs due to the growing adoption  .

right now its hard to predict the price but most of the times the value of bitcoin remains stable at 3k  . i expect that it can go up a bit and will go down also a little .

For those who had no previous investment experience or for those who decided to invest in Bitcoin for the first time - now is a very good time, Bitcoin will grow slowly throughout 2019 and 2020, so if someone have at least a year for waiting - he will be able to make a very big profit by the end of this year, if it buys Bitcoin right now.

In this case it is difficult to say in which direction it can go, however the lateralizations in 4k to 5k would be something excellent for the whole market in general. But it should not be neglected, because they can lower the price, although the bitcoin if it goes up without a lot of volume is beneficial, because the offer is being eliminated, then it would have to continue rising a little more.

As I see right now, It may stabalized at $3K-$4K+ for quite sometime. Though, I suggest at this rate it's somehow a good opportunity to buy for Bitcoin and HOLD up until you've reached 5-10% ROI and repeat. Safe trading will be quite useful as of the moment, but its up to you if you would like to risk as long as there are back up plans.

Buying bitcoin is more better as even if it fall, it wont fall much as we are already near the bottom. Selling bitcoins is not the right choice for now as we are bottomed out and chances are very clear that bitcoin will go further up from here.
I would suggest to go for long if you are doing leverage trading on bitmex.

It is a very good analysis, for hours the price dropped a little more, but seeing the levels that happened, you can intuit easily that an important movement is being prepared, maybe, a small bull can come, many have realized that at low price , nobody is selling bitcoins, it's a good time to buy.

I would rather advise you to make your own analysis or research to be more confident, because if we listen from other people, it is usually always dissatisfied and will not get experience.
but if you are confused about making research and analysis, it is better to learn first in order to be able to read market movements. because investing or trading is very risky, you must prepare yourself as well as possible.

Listening to people which we think is an expert is alright, but you also have to do your own research, you cannot just follow them blindly.

Learning is a must, you will learn more if you will experience more, that the reality.
As a trader or investor, you need to be conservative to stay realistic, it's alright to have big goal but we should start small, and eventually
if we are good in what we are doing, we will reach that big goal in crypto.

Everything is possible here, crypto is new and young, more opportunity to come for us.

You don't have to follow anyone, and you only need to trust yourself. Believe that you can make a profit like other people, believe that you can learn more hard than other people, believe that you can do something that will give you a chance to get a better life than other people.

Then after you believe that you can do many things, it's time to learn about trading, you need to learn the analysis, you can search on many sources, you need to practice what you've got, don't use big money if you are not sure, but only use small money to start. After you can do with right, then you can increase the budget to trade. Don't trust with other people says before you search on other sources.

Bitcoin price will go to a higher price, but we don't know how high bitcoin can do. You don't need to think about that, what you need to do right now is collect more and more bitcoin that you can, and if the time comes, you will see how much money you can make.

We are on the good track and we have starting price for next run! The current preev rate is hovering around the $3900 level for a week. From my point of view, it will try to make fake breakouts next to the $4500 level. If bull can hold the $4500 level then talking about higher levels will be next target in Bitcoin analyzing.

I'm grateful to see the price of bitcoin return to the price of $ 4k today. although it cannot be considered stable, this seems to be quite good in the development of bitcoin prices. I think bitcoin will lead to better development.

Hopefully we will see bitcoin's development go continuously, and won't fall back to declining trend. Although it seems not stable for now don't lose hope with it, because someday better days will replenish thus disappointing times we've experienced btc at its weakest moments. Somehow it do made us leaned from our mistakes which eventually made us more stronger and determined, after a long time waiting for everything comes back to pumping scenario just like before.

It's hard to define which way Bitcoin price is going at the moment. From time to time we see some small price growth but in the next moment it's pulling back again so more or less it stays at the same level without major changes.
I wouldn't speculate about the next bull run because to my opinion we are far away from that. I think that the whole first half of this year wouldn't bring any significant change for the price, not in positive or negative way.

It's hard to define which way Bitcoin price is going at the moment. -snip-
So I guess it is safe to say that its not going anywhere. I think price stabilising is actually a good thing.
This contradicts the hypothesis of modern economists that deflation currency slows the market to nearly a full stop.
We can see exactly the opposite now, stabilisation caused all the big players to gain interest in BTC.
As usual, established science proves itself to be a fallacy. Nevertheless good news.

Yes, lot of merchants and countries will even have no choice but to adopt it if they don’t want to be left out because if most merchant don’t adopt it on time, they will witness high migrations of clients from them to the ones that has adopted them, so stiff competition will also make majority of the merchants adopt it and when this happen gradually because it won’t be one day thing, bitcoin and other good crytocurrency will gradually experience high increase in their prices and less volatile market. We just all need to be patient with our holding to witness this.

It sounds more like wishful thinking rather than something based in reality

As it has been explained and demonstrated on numerous occasions, it is not merchants who are not willing to accept crypto. It is buyers and consumers (read, cryptocurrency public in general) who don't won't to pay with crypto (and, strictly speaking, it is a rational decision). If you accept this as a basis for drawing further conclusions (which you should as this is a correct assumption), you will see how your whole idea instantly loses ground.
If Bitcoin price continues to operate the way it is now and maintain its stability for a while, this might start making it more reliable for users wishing to store up their fund in bitcoin.

I think what we honestly need is a stable coin that people can trust to have as future asset they can rely on at any point in time, just like people easily invest in gold and leave it for a very long time without even any form of security that makes Bitcoin more outstanding.

If we can get lots of adopters of bitcoin when it becomes stables, it will surely make the price of Bitcoin shoot up and may not be forced into bear market again irrespective of the dumping that may occur then, because the number of users for asset purpose will surely be more than the number of users for investment/trading.

Which way? Still, the market is unpredictable we can't conclude if which way it will lead the price on bitcoin. However, as I noticed now Bitcoin price went up and I think it is possible that the market starting to a recovery from the deep market. It's really hard to define which way bitcoin of price will be going, but one thing for sure that I know it will never back to zero. ;)

indeed the condition of the cryptocurrency price movement at the exchange will never be able to predict but at least we can find out the price movements that will occur because it can be seen from the movement when going up it will someday fall, and when it falls it will definitely rise again.

If bitcoin can break $4250 trading area,  the next strong resistance level will be $5850. I don't think bitcoin is going to stay around $4500 for a long duration as this has not happened before.  To me the bearish trend is over and we are going to see more of the bullish trend than bearish trend from now.

It would be nice if this technical analysis of yours will have a piece of support of evidence why bitcoin price is landed on that price.
Don't think too much ahead of bitcoin price in which way to go, instead of patiently waiting on it and ride the possible wave or spike that you can get profit on it. I don't think so if I am going to tolerate that kind of made.ess.
As of now, you are just like preparing in the battle without a single enemy.

The present resistance barrier $4100 needs to be broken to get going towards the next price barrier of $4500. I don't think the market will move directly towards $5000+ without any form of resistance development. The market seems to show indications of gradual growth, upon which can expect the resistance level break at certain time interval.

We've spent a long time fueling up the gas tank in this range. The longer we spend here, the more powerful the breakout will be. So I think a wave up to $5,850 is possible. It's a good spot for a bearish reversal too, since we have a long term price pivot there and also the 50-week MA which stands ~ $5,800 right now. We tested and failed at the 50-week MA last July and I would expect to see the same again now.

I am optimistic about Bitcoin, and naturally I am inclined to think that soon Bitcoin will be able to overcome the 5000 mark and continue moving upwards, but this does not exclude that we all may be prepared for an unpleasant surprise before this happens. But this does not mean that I am going to sell my coins.

If you ask me, it is not very likely

Bitcoin is not going to become rock solid in the near future because it is too speculative in this period of its lifecycle. We now see money flowing into altcoins and thus Bitcoin is kinda being starved. It naturally leads to thinner orderbooks but that, in turn, means Bitcoin is more susceptible to sudden dumps and pumps as there is less liquidity in the market and consequently, it takes less financial leverage to move the price in either direction

If we can get lots of adopters of bitcoin when it becomes stables, it will surely make the price of Bitcoin shoot up

That would instantly destroy your premise about more stable prices

I think bitcoin is presently consolidating and will consolidate for a very long time before the bull run, the time the consolidation will end is what I really cannot tell as the market is extremely difficult to predict now for long term even with the assistance of analysis but what baffles me most is that these time bitcoin consolidates is when most altcoins are supposed to start rising.

Just like it happened early 2018 to some coin but I am surprised most of the coins that rose then which I still have are yet to even make any move at all, this market generally is really unpredictable, best is to just stop monitoring till we welcome bull run which time will announce.

Of course, Bitcoin will not return to zero, but at least I would like to return my funds spent on investments at the end of 2017. Of course it was my mistake, but nevertheless I was tired of waiting for the recovery of the cryptocurrency market.

BTC will eventually rise as expected, let's give it more time.
This is what we are seeing now, BTC is moving uptrend and we have a good 24 hours movement as BTC reached $4,100.

This is a slowly but a surely move.

I don’t think there is any guarantee that most of the altcoins they are throwing money into that is presently making bitcoin stagnant will  last the way bitcoin has lasted, so many altcoins will still come up in the future that will push these existing ones aside or make them irrelevant for life, and many people that are fully aware of  this knows that Bitcoin is the only one with the product that will last for life, so what they will do is to make Bitcoin an asset to hold for long, while altcoins will just be strictly for investment or trading, as people hold it for asset, we will be seeing some increase in price with lots of stability.

I believe it too, for now the price is still unpredictable, because the market conditions have not allowed prices to rise or fall, there is no news that makes prices rise. but when you ask this question again in next year, I will say the price will rise

I believe that bitcoin will continue to rise until the end of this year to reach USD 5,000. In my opinion it is a very conservative prediction, because now it is in the range of USD 4,000.
To rise as high as 2017 in my opinion is very difficult because to experience such an event at that time there must be a large wave of demand for bitcoin so that the needs in the market are extraordinary. The greater the demand certainly impacts on price increases.

Fortunately, we are now going to see the price is on the uptrend so the price still at $4100 level. I hope that this week, the trend is still on the uptrend so we can sell some bitcoin and make a profit after we hold for a while. But still, there is no guarantee to see the price can stay increase or not because there are so many possibilities for the price and the price itself can go to any level of price.

We are into the chase of the market recovery but it seems to be not easy to show up this time. Though we can see some inclines but never be enough to have way of being in bull run again. Prices may rise in the right time and nobody knows exactly when. Speculations summary will says that bull run have come this year, and hopefully it does and to eliminate doubts.

In fact, neither do I

Only incurable Bitcoin haters would claim that a certain altcoin is going to outlast Bitcoin just like any sane person understands that altcoins are and will remain in the future mostly speculative assets (even when compared to Bitcoin itself). And that's the exact reason why they attract so much money now that Bitcoin is slowly turning from a purely speculative asset into something else

Further, I don't think that major altcoins are going away any time soon, either. Really, what's in any new altcoin (to be created) that would make, say, Litecoin obsolete?

Btc might go in either way unexpectedly. Remember that for most of the time our expectation wasn't met and goes the other way. As of now, we are seeing the price in green, it's possible that it will continue to rise slowly or the thing we don't want to see right now, decrease. But I guess the uptrend seems stronger right now.
