Hello, do you know how to create an EOS wallet for free? I have heard about meet.one, but the offer has ended. If someone has EOS account, he needs to spend EOS tokens or only RAM for creating the new account?

There is no free wallet on EOS. There is only paid which costs only 1 dollar. so do not look for free

But, I agree that EOS is something new and could be difficult for newcomers, but you quickly get used to the new UI  8).

I dont know of any free wallet, too. But dont hesitate to spend a small amount of money to get a wallet which is maintained, supported and widely used. Imagine the case of using a free, not maintained wallet and a bug is found in that wallet and your EOS are gone ...

Lately in crypto currency i have noticed that 70% of every free wallet isn't that secure and its not worth the risk.

You can simply download imtoken 2.0 and launch out your eos with just 1$ eth or less.
Don't gamble on a free wallet.

It definitely doesn't worth to risk with unknown free wallets. Nothing costs more than something that's free ;) 1$ is a real fair price to be secured and to support developers. But I can fully understand the OP - it's a crypto area and there must be free opensource solutions around.

To be honest, I just do not understand why someone has to pay a fee to activate their EOS wallet, it is supposed to be free.. anyways I heard that you can create a wallet with Ethereum in the imtoken 2 app. I haven't tried it though because I use EOSLynx.

omg, don’t even compare these two. While using imtoken I lost tokens for no reason. Their support did not answer me for weeks. And when I provided them all the requested info I was hacked and signed out from my acc. Don’t be fooled!

Sometimes some wallets or communities make a campaign for free eos wallet. You have to follow and find them. As far as i know at this moment there is no campaign but you can follow meetone social accounts.

This is indeed done not to earn anything for the EOS but to minimize the spam of the network and wallets. They learned from the fate of Ethereum wallet and Stellar countered most of Ethereum drawback with paid wallet and trustline. EOS seems to be doing something similar to stellar.

I have never heard of any information that EOS wallet can be created for free. There is always a fee to create a wallet, so I don't like EOS and I never buy and hold it anywhere

Try to search for Eosex, maybe you can create there and try to trade your EOS also at the same time, I just joined their bounty of EXP and I think you can use their platform for your tokens.

You better think 100 times or more if you are willing to sacrifice your funds to a free wallet then cry later once there will be a glitch or drama hacking pops out. If you wanted free wallet, store your EOS to trusted trading platform like binance. It still depends on you if you wanted to keep it on binance but I just wanted to give you a heads up, store it at your own risk.

what I know is that the free wallet eos is murmurdapp but having to look for referrals to get a free wallet is less recommended, it's better to buy it yourself by using eoslynx

That's one of the exchange dedicated for EOS tokens, they recently did an ICO in this bear market and still was successful. its the only you have if you want free. Its hard to trust an exchange though.

Creating free EOS wallet, around 4 months ago, the infinito group embarked on promo whereby they give people some free codes to open infinito wallet which is an EOS wallet. The free code was distributed on telegram. The promo was original slated for 10 days, however the number of free codes they wanted to give out was exhausted within 3 hours. Pobably you could watch oit fir such promo at time. It was a great opportunity for me to open an EOS wallet, because it is not a free wallet. Thanks to infinito wallet.

Some day the EOS team will need to facilitate the free creation of EOS wallets if they really want to build a big community around their project since most people are not willing to pay to create a wallet, no matter how cheap is to do it. Moreover, what will happen if EOS price rises in the future? Will wallet creation costs rise as well?

You can always have a free EOS wallet on your exchange. If you only want to hold little eos for a few days or weeks then that's an option.
But I think you should pay the little few to get your own wallet, EOS have a good and fast blockchain, and you will get airdrops sometimes if you hold your own private keys.

even the name of the application sounds like a scam. I would not use such an application) I would not even send 1 eos on it

Sometimes , they give eos free wallets on meetone, you should track their telegram adress, they give code for meetone. If you need urgent, you should pay 1 $.

Unfortunately you cannot get an EOS wallet for free, but I mean you are paying peanuts to get one of the most popular and safe wallets. It is worth it, because I do not trust exchanges that are holding my funds.

As for me, I tried to create eos wallet for free. But it was unsuccessful. Then I tried ZEOS and Scatter to create an official wallet. But totally I paid less than 1 dollar. I spent at least 2 hours trying to do this. It was bad experience.

You can still find a wallet for EOS for free. As I participated in the project and I needed a wallet. But I also did not want to pay. Sometimes mobile wallets make a promotion and they can be set free on a mobile phone. I think you should study this question if you need a free option.

I think you can search in the web, but you need to be pretty careful. As far as I know you are forced to pay a fee to get this wallet. Just be careful with fishing websites and scammers that would try to trick you.

Well, I doubt the one dollar thing can really stop people If there are very useful apps on EOS else it won't work out well for the cryptocurrency

I dont think you can find any eos wallet in any wallet app that is totally free, you just have to spend a little or fund it so your wallet will be active and ready for incoming and outgoing transactions. It doesn't really cost that much but the thing is you cannot buy eos with very few amount in an exchange because they usually have minimum buy/sell when you trade.
