I'd like it to, but I don't think it will. Long term I do think it will be good news for the price, but short term I wouldn't be surprised to see a dip.

No, I don't think Ethereum price will be up for the Hard fork instantly. But for the good hype about the fork, ETH price can go to 150 USD again. Constantinople is not a new coin like the Bitcoin Cash hard fork. ETH fork is to improve the Ethereum's network! After happening the fork, ETH price will go 300 USD plus within a few months even if the crypto market doesn't well that time. So, This week, I can't hope.

We would love to see it surge when there are events like this. No new coin to be created so there's a tendency that every surge for this event is more about the demand not about the new creation of a coin. It is likely that we will see a massive surge before or maybe after the fork but if I'm the one to command, I'd like to see it happen after the fork so everything is set and we're just going to see the movement of it positively.

In my opinion, a little increase will be. Because this is Ethereum, the queen of crypto market.Without the last price drop, the price would be better position, but BTC has the power to influence them all, no matter what is going on.

All eyes are on ethereum right now. The recent flash dump started with ethereum so if ETH pumps then the rest of the market will follow. We can expect good things towards the end of this week (assuming all goes well with the hardfork)

It will dude, at least a little price much rather than nothing. For me a little surge in ethereum price will give the different opinion regarding the future of this coin. It looks like these days ether will do hardfork and blockreward will decrease

The effect on Ethereum price will not be noticed in short term but in long term after discovering what this upgrade will really offer and how stable it is, we should not forget that the upgrade was postponed before because of some vulnerabilities and that this will always be in mind, I think the real spike will be after the confirmation of the stability of the upgrade. But still, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ethereum price break $150 again in a couple of days.

Ethereum will not rise because hard fork is coming but because Samsung S10 officially announced that the phone will fully support these 4 cryptocurrencies: Ethereum, Enjin (ERC Token), Bitcoin and Cosmee.

ETH can increase, what we should expect is that Bitcoin starts with another small bull, because if ETH increases but the bitcoin market goes down, obviously, ETH will stop increasing and will succumb to the fall of Bitcoin, this is because Bitcoin has a direct impact on altcoins, panic makes people sell fast ETH and Altcoins to buy bitcoin.

that did not happen. Today was February 27th and I couldn't see any good sign from traders. Purchasing power has not increased and I think investors have lost confidence with Constantinople because the hard-fork failed before.

I have never witnessed any hard-fork benefits for the main-coin. ETH will certainly suffer from further price cuts because investors will withdraw some of their capital to invest in Constantinople. it will certainly fly high for a short period of time just like the way Bitcoin SV used to be.

if you only write like this then everyone can write and predict it, and if you want ethereum prices to really go up then at least you have to buy and support ethereum because if you don't buy ethereum prices can never rise.

Very unlikely. For starters, this isn't a fork that will give users new coins, this is simply an update on the network, so you won't see people jumping into ETH to claim new coins and then dump them like it happens with BTC forks.

Price-wise, I don't think we'll see any big movements, this update won't trigger any kind of buying pressure or pump, I believe things will stay relatively the same in terms of price after the update so I wouldn't expect a big surge.

I supported what you said because the bearish trend is still alive in the crypto market and if the market posed some pump trend movement then it will Ethereum hard forks and the bitcoin ETF news that generate the pump trend in the crypto market.

The chances of that happening are high and we do not have to wait much since the update is scheduled to happen in one day, however it is also possible the update has already been priced by the market and nothing happens so be ready to get out of your position to find more profitable coins if that happens, however if I consider the two failed attempts to make this update it seems to me the market will not price the update until it is finally a reality.

Everyone hopes the same my friend and we should stay optimistic always but only time will tell if eth makes that decisive move and breaks the resistance of 170 and then 200 to confirm reversal and starts a new uptrend that can help eth to recover back to 1000 and above levels or not but yes hopes are high.

How do you know? I think this time ETH hard fork will take place. Though I don't think this fork will make good effect on price. If bitcoin price grows then Ethereum price will be growing automatically. We need to wait what changes make this hard fork on Ethereum.

I assume that, that will be everybody's desire. With every cryptocurrency' hard fork or upgrade, naturally a price surge is every enthusiasts looking forward in happening [fingers cross].
Although it is still unclear as of this moment what the effect of this upgrade may bring, i am very hopeful that it will have a successful outcome for Ethereum over all [price included]. One analyst pointed out that despite bearishness, ETH does have a lot of buying pressure around its current price levels.

nope.  It will make a progress only once BTC starting to accumulate strength and gradually making a progress. Yes because since market always  collapse ..ETH and other altcoin become affected and always drop down as well after bitcoin. And this a big reference that eth will not surge as long bitcoin is keep bleeding.   Check coinmarketcap mate.

it depends on the hardfork itself, does hardfork run smoothly and successfully? I think yes the price of ETH will rise if Constantinople goes smoothly and vice versa the price of ETH will come back down if Constantinople fails again

We will see but I'm not expecting a surge of price.
I would like to see more development than the price action alone, with what we have witnessed recently, it's just a pure pump and dump
and we don't need that in this market to grow, we need constant growth that is not driven by hype alone.

Ethereum should be in good condition by this week because of the hardfork.  I believe that this is also going to affect the cryptocurrencies market because many coins are depending on ethereum for grow.  We should not expect much bull run now but in a long-term it will definitely going to be.

Yes I believe the price of ethereum will surge this week not just because there is going to be an hard fork on the blockchain to bring a better upgrade for the community, but because people know that the fork will give them a lot of free money even if not now, in the nearest future. This is same experienced we had during the bitcoincash fork which give people a lot of free money so no one want to miss out.

IMO the price will drop initially because of some technical issues & later when that resolved price will grow gradually as with Constantinople hard fork ethereum is implementing its consensus mechanism from proof of work to proof of stake which will award validators for maintaining the network. Also the block rewards has been reduced by introducing difficulty bomb which will reward miners 3 eth as compare to 5eth.

From the testing grounds, it will not a quick rise but it will soon do that, there's still things that needed to be well understood regarding to this constantinople update, for me this reducial of rewards might bring impact to the value, observing the market right now and try to make a good position
before the actual fork will happen.

Right now it is just 2:40 minutes away from the hardfork. Lot of major updates have been provided, but I believe this could cause increased transaction fee as well won't profit big with the GPU miners. Large scale ASIC miners will be getting good rewards after the hardfork.

It seems to me that there may be any nuances after that, but I am interested in the final result, so that the platform has real appeal for new projects and for investors. Perhaps ethereum should put a start for its leap forward, to take a leading position in the cryptocurrency market. It is not only about the price of ethereum, but also an increase in capitalization.

Quit expecting too much on that hard fork guys it will not gonna jump and change the price to what you guys are expecting. Just the same previous fork it didn't give a big pump so quit it already.

Constantinople impact on ETH market is not that big that would make it pump, most altcoins now are based on Bitcoin price. So, I would expect only a pump on ETH if Bitcoin pump too.

Yes, I think so. This hardfork will affect the price a little bit. ETH price went to 160 USD  a few days ago, I thought it will go to 200 USD during these fork days but again it dumped badly to 134 USD! So, I can't expect a big surge for the Ethereum Price.

I am also looking forward that price will move up constantly in the coming days. For the recent updates, the price was doing good with some fluctuations and to think for price surges it will always depends on what the investors mindset towards the actual price movements. Testing the process will always find time to finalize at certain level, and for now we will just have to wait every now and then.

It looks like we already had the price increase before and now the price doesn't move much. Nevertheless I would regard the update as a success, since the price rose from the low of about 80$ these years to over 130$ again. Maybe that wouldn't have happened if there hadn't been an update. So if you are disappointed that the price is not going to go up, you overlook that the price has gone up before. That's why the update is a complete success for me.  ;)

I don't think the price will extremely go up.  Because in the first place, what I understand that there is no airdrop for this fork.  It is just an upgrade.  Hence, nobody would rush to buy to get the airdrop.  Correct me if I am wrong.

your not wrong  . i also heard that before , they say the fork of eth dont have any airdrop .  idk if other users are aware with that but if not , then i think they will still insist to buy more eth because they thought that they will recieve an equivalnet fork coins  . this can result for the increase price of eth  . fork or not fork , eth can probably increase more in the future if ever the price of bitcoin will also increase  .

i agree as the matter of fact ETH showed a big potential than bitcoin base on the average in the market so expect it will grow soon once market make a move forward again but unless if the market didn't collapse again like what happened previously because for sure there's no ways it can escape when there's a manipulation in the market.

Yes you’re right and right now the price are still moving sideways and there is no major pump yet. Maybe we need a little more time before we feel the improvements and eventually the price will go up again. Its good to see improvements like this, for sure it wil be nice in the future.

It will take a while for the lower reward to be priced in and due to the sideways pattern on the market it could be many weeks before we see the price pump. Still worth buying at this point, the pump will probably be quick and dramatic

It didn't surge but maintain
As this are network upgrade cycle and no money involve like mass money investing from people
It would not push the price instantly

However if it is a good proven network upgrade, the price would mostly go up instead of down
