Title: Experienced <> Newbie trader ? [CANCELLED]
Post by: sifr.com on March 04, 2019, 06:14:26 PM
It seems most members of the forum reply to pump their post count instead of discussing the main subject, I have decided to lock this competition.

I don't think anyone would be interested in using your service until somethings have been well known by the users, this is because we have scammed a number of times and don't want to fall into any scam deliberately.

First of all, can you tell us why we should make use of this exchange instead of using binance, what is the unique feature of the exchange. Secondly, is it possible you give us a signed message of the address of where the prizes won are kept.

Hello,

The exchange is on test-mode and does not accept deposits, we do not perform KYC or ask anything to participate in this competition - I don't see how there could be any scam.

What we are doing is inviting crypto-traders to test our exchange and share their feedback with us before we go live, we might have missed something during the unit test or there are bugs we didn't find.
Instead of members of this forum helping for free, we are compensating them for their time and efforts.

Now why would someone use our exchange and not others is pretty simple, we offer features no other exchange offers, for example : Order-Cancel-Order,  Order-Send-Order, Hidden / Iceberg, Trailing Stop limit, All-Or-None, and the ability to combine all these parameters in one single order.

I don't intent to hijack this topic to go into details of what our exchange offers in terms of features, we have an announcement here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5113290.msg49873699#msg49873699

I hope I've replied to your question.

SIFR supports the following order types : Limit | Market | STOP | STOP-LIMIT | TRAILING STOP | TRAILING STOP LIMIT and the following parameters :  POST ONLY | HIDDEN | ORDER-CANCEL-ORDER | ORDER-SEND-ORDER.

Atlast, some trailing stop/limit is already been added just like on forex/stock broker platforms which is really useful on hedging.

About on the prize it isnt really bad at all for 1 month competition.

Quote
Prizes :

1 BTC to the top trader.

0.5 for the next top 4 traders.

0.1 for the next top 20 traders.

Not bad to join up for those people who havent much capital to trade and do have the vacant time but this would be more looks legit if the prize pool would be escrowed, not on being
too suspicious but this would gain interest if funds are secured and traders know that they would be paid out at the end of the contest.

good suggestion regarding escrow of funds.
if you will use reputable escrow, you might get a lot of traders to join the contest.
though you are giving test funds and its free, you can motivate them to do their best if they know there is guaranteed rewards afterwards.
there are known escrows here who are offering free services or charge minimal fee. it's your call!

Could you please stop paying people to send unsolicited PMs? It's very annoying and they will end up banned. Thanks.

I give it a try too and feel disappointed cause at first I thought this offer was free of charge. But when I saw the page as shown below; then I stopped my curiosity and skipped this promotion.

Even if the rewards will be escrowed they can pay anyone they want to pay! Never trust this kind of rewards...not only this project but in general!

What even are the standard fees for an account if one were to trade $1 Million on the platform, and what sort of savings could one expect to see by paying for the fee-free offer?

I also don’t expect many people will sign up for your competition considering there’s no escrow and your account’s very new to these parts. Plenty of organizations around here offer similar types of promotions and exit before paying out participants, unfortunately.

Double check your words before posting, what do you mean by saying "we have scammed a number of times"? It should be "we have been scammed a number of times".

You've combined all the best things a trader looks for, and most importantly it's the trailing stop I love a lot. But, what's that fee for and why should anyone pay you to be eligible to trade any specified amount at your place? As well, why are different people with high membership levels PMing me? Is it a condition for these users to get into the competition or what?
Glad to see you bought a copper membership, at least you could afford that. But buying a copper membership and paying 5 BTC to users just to "test out" your trading platform, that too without an escrow? I understand that there's no KYC requirement, still I smell something fishy here.

Hello,

To participate in the competition, you just need to register for an account and access the trading terminal : https://sifr.com/trade/BTC-USD and reply to this topic, see the first post, it explains the proof of participation process, it's a simple reply to this thread.

Your account comes with demo balances you can use to trade on exchange and to participate on this competition.

I have attached a screenshot, you should see "Try the demo" link, it will take you directly to your trading terminal

Yes you are missing something, the offer you see is unrelated to the competition, it's an offer for active traders who want to purchase trading fees at discount right now instead of paying that expense from their balances when the exchange goes live.

Again, you can participate on the competition without buying or depositing anything.

That's correct, alas there is no transparent way to publicly prove who are the top traders and who won the bitcoins, using escrow is trivial.

The copper membership is to post pictures on topics, we needed that to post the announcement of our exchange and signature bounty.
The 5 btc will be distributed to the top traders, this competition is not limited to bitcointalk, we have traders joining the competition from slack, telegram groups, tradingview etc.

Long story short, this is an open invitation to anyone looking to try the features of our exchange, any feedback is welcome and we made it easy to view our platform without registration : https://sifr.com/trade/BTC-USD

Thank you all for your questions.

I doubt on this exchange you have which is SIFR, your saying there is no deposit needed and no KYC requirements, but once you register or signed up, you have an offer for the new comer, and for us to use the platform we need to deposit 99$ and once it has been comply we need to submit KYC. That is absolutely you're deceiving us here, and you need to pm most of the member in the forum, I don't understand that. I think there is something wrong with this thread anyway.
