Hello,
To participate in the competition, you just need to register for an account and access the trading terminal :
https://sifr.com/trade/BTC-USD and reply to this topic, see the first post, it explains the proof of participation process, it's a simple reply to this thread.
Your account comes with demo balances you can use to trade on exchange and to participate on this competition.
I have attached a screenshot, you should see "Try the demo" link, it will take you directly to your trading terminal

I give it a try too and feel disappointed cause at first I thought this offer was free of charge. But when I saw the page as shown below; then I stopped my curiosity and skipped this promotion.
Am I missed something?
Yes you are missing something, the offer you see is
unrelated to the competition, it's an offer for active traders who want to purchase trading fees at discount right now instead of paying that expense from their balances when the exchange goes live.
Again, you can participate on the competition without buying or depositing anything.
SIFR supports the following order types : Limit | Market | STOP | STOP-LIMIT | TRAILING STOP | TRAILING STOP LIMIT and the following parameters : POST ONLY | HIDDEN | ORDER-CANCEL-ORDER | ORDER-SEND-ORDER.
Atlast, some trailing stop/limit is already been added just like on forex/stock broker platforms which is really useful on hedging.
About on the prize it isnt really bad at all for 1 month competition.
Prizes :
1 BTC to the top trader.
0.5 for the next top 4 traders.
0.1 for the next top 20 traders.
Not bad to join up for those people who havent much capital to trade and do have the vacant time but this would be more looks legit if the prize pool would be escrowed, not on being
too suspicious but this would gain interest if funds are secured and traders know that they would be paid out at the end of the contest.
Even if the rewards will be escrowed they can pay anyone they want to pay! Never trust this kind of rewards...not only this project but in general!
That's correct, alas there is
no transparent way to publicly prove who are the top traders and who won the bitcoins, using escrow is trivial.
I don't think anyone would be interested in using your service until somethings have been well known by the users, this is because we have scammed a number of times and don't want to fall into any scam deliberately.
First of all, can you tell us why we should make use of this exchange instead of using binance, what is the unique feature of the exchange. Secondly, is it possible you give us a signed message of the address of where the prizes won are kept.
Double check your words before posting, what do you mean by saying "we have scammed a number of times"? It should be "
we have been scammed a number of times".

--snip--
Now why would someone use our exchange and not others is pretty simple, we offer features no other exchange offers, for example :
Order-Cancel-Order, Order-Send-Order, Hidden / Iceberg, Trailing Stop limit, All-Or-None, and the ability to combine all these parameters in one single order.
--snip--
You've combined all the best things a trader looks for, and most importantly it's the trailing stop I love a lot. But, what's that fee for and why should anyone pay you to be eligible to trade any specified amount at your place? As well, why are different people with high membership levels PMing me? Is it a condition for these users to get into the competition or what?
Glad to see you bought a copper membership, at least you could afford that. But buying a copper membership and paying 5 BTC to users just to "test out" your trading platform, that too without an escrow? I understand that there's no KYC requirement, still I smell something fishy here.
The copper membership is to post pictures on topics, we needed that to post the announcement of our exchange and signature bounty.
The 5 btc will be distributed to the top traders, this competition is not limited to bitcointalk, we have traders joining the competition from slack, telegram groups, tradingview etc.
Long story short, this is an open invitation to anyone looking to try the features of our exchange, any feedback is welcome and we made it easy to view our platform without registration :
