Title: Crypto wallet services
Post by: pachechka on April 24, 2019, 07:22:51 PM
Are there any services around, providing wallets for BTC, ETC and other currencies which can be used by gambling site to deposit/withdraw/exchange crypto from users, without actually implementing connection to crypto network?

Can you explain this a little more ?  Do you need a gambling site which also provide the trading services as you mentioned "exchange crypto" ?
Well, i dont think if there is any such site and Also i am not sure its good idea

He is looking for a wallet service instead of a gambling site if I understand it correctly. A wallet that can be connected directly to a gambling site so users do not need to deposit/withdraw.
Maybe something like Moneypot, it was a wallet for gamblers that can be connected to gambling sites/apps that uses the moneypot API.

Didn't you already create a thread recently regarding the same topic op? I thought no one was able to clear your query there. Anyway, I don't see why you felt the need to open another thread regarding this topic.

Delete one of the threads and stick to one thread only.

Users will deposit to generated address (which will be generated for each user) and deposit command will send to user's wallet.
I could go with creating full node next to my server, but no resources now for maintaining it and it's out of scope.

I am not sure about any on-chain gambling sites for btc, etc as there is transaction costs for these coins, however you can look at fee less coins such as eos, steem, tron — most gambling dApps on these platforms provide on-chain gambling, although you will need to lock some funds to get resources. Feel free to pm me if you need help with steem/eos.

I think OP your question has been answered and moneypot[1] is all that you need. See for yourself if it is what you need.

Is it like a decentalized gambling or somewhat? But how they are able to trade cross-chain?
It would be safer for funds holder but would be limited as they won't be able to trade coins that have different blockchain.

You mean a third party to deposit btc when betting online casino? Well, the online betting casino.platform has already provided this and having third party is not really necesary. Just create an account in an online casino betting platform.and send your btc to their platform directly to your account. If anything will not going to go well like losing your deposits the. Show your bitcoin.tracker if it is successful or not. The block chain wi tell amd will never lie.

Third party deposit AND withdraw. Actually I am not casino user, but developer. Of course alternative option is to make full node, but at this point I don't want to invest in that.

To sum up what I've found so far, for others in need:

mycelium - no withdraw, only deposit
coingate
bitpay
coinify
gocoin
bitgo - requires 1mln USD monthly traffic
bitaps

However, most of the services are following gambling regulation rules, which needs merchant verification, anti-money-laundry measures etc.. Moreover, from 1st May there is new regulation, which requires merchant verification even for crypto-to-crypto transactions.

Though in it's early development and few gambling website integrating it, bitcoin lightning network provides many of the functions you want. They provide a instant zero fee transactions between wallet and sites providing you maximum use of each of your satoshi. I have no extensive knowledge about the lightning network but it seems to be similar to moneypot but not limited in gambling sites. Even popular services like bitrefill and exchanges had started supporting lightning network.

That would be a good news. Instead of creating a project for wallet services having the bitcoin lightning network will be able to cover the needs of the users for the platform.

But if bitcoin wallet third party service is really needed then I think I.have not seen any projects implemented regarding with its purpose. Maybe others will going to see this and make an idea then start a project.

Using third party service doesn't mean players are redirected to gateway site, make payment and come back. All services are providing API, which implemented by casino and as a player you have no chance to know if it's third party wallet broker or direct connection.

Moneypot isn't a casino, it is a wallet that you can use across different services and gambling is included with that support. About trading, this would depend on the casinos feature if they would like to add their very own exchange on their platform.

Moneypot is really a good choice. It's a standard wallet which could support bitcoin services.
Depositing is instant even before confirming which is a good point. If you're looking for an innovative web wallet, money pot is convenient though there are minimal security issues but they fix it right away.

I think it is the best for what OP is looking for .
I tried it before on a gambling site but couldn't remember the site and my account .
But it is a good one for sure a lot of good feed back.

The problem is their wallet doesn't work with any popular gambling website (I'm referring here to what the OP is looking for). Yes Moneypot is probably the best choice here in this case but I honestly wouldn't really work with this because you can only use it on 4-5 websites and I've never ever heard about those gambling platforms before

Agree, I only know moneypot however, only few accepts moneypot and this doesn't include famous gambling sites.  So, there might be none at the moment, so better to use any wallet you think will give you more convenience when gambling.

If you say so means that you do not even know how moneypot works. Moneypot is not the one which is accepted by gambling sites, but gambling sites are using their API and bankroll as well as wallet service to run the gambling sites. Means that anyone who want to own gambling sites but do not have enough bankroll to start then they can use moneypot.

I think bitpay can do the job. I already use bitpay but it's for making a payment to buy a product, and it's connected with bitpay.
But I never know if bitpay can be used for another thing and it's a new thing for me.
I cannot imagine how much money we will use to make a full node.
But hey, what kind of regulation that will be needed for the merchant?

Bitpay terms says:

Quote
If your use of the Services relates to one of the following restricted activities, your activities are subject to internal review and you are only allowed to transact when expressly authorized by BitPay in writing:

Transactions that involve gambling or any other activity with an entry fee and a prize, including, but not limited to casino games, sports betting, horse or greyhound racing, lottery tickets, other ventures that facilitate gambling, and sweepstakes, unless you have obtained our prior written approval and you and your customers are located exclusively in jurisdictions where such activities are permitted by law.

Casino owner need lawyer to steer this properly.

What exactly are you looking for since the best answer as of now is to use moneypot as stated by other people. You stated that you are a developer then my suggestion is you create a wallet service on your own then it will be a big hit for people like you who are looking exactly as you looking for but for now moneypot is the best option and yet only accepted to few gambling sites and other platforms.

Crypto wallet services are available for any kind of the popular ones coins like BTC, ETH and LTC etc. One can get and store all the coins in a single wallet, make it easy for all users. Furthermore, it offers free transaction service as well but it has limitations and restrictions as well. If it surpasses its range then you must pay transaction cost. Other than this, the transaction cost is low as compared to other wallets so such wallet services are in our benefit but we need to find them as crypto industry is building day by day.

If im not mistaken, every wallet is eligible to have a gambling site connection. The most important thing the gambling site will ask is the BTC or altcoins address to deposit or withdraw the prize. Or maybe you are pertaining to some gambling related ICOs which can be helpful in gambling.

The best wallet to use in a circumstance like this is just going to be your own wallet, one which you fully control and have the private keys too. It's not going to make sense to use an exchange wallet, as you're going to get shut down very quickly if you do this.

I know most of the big exchanges, Gemini, Coinbase, Kraken, etc -- are going to ban you from their services if they see you deposit and withdraw (to their addresses, without another wallet in between) to gambling sites. They're going to be required to do this by law, and they don't want to face the scrutiny of the government for not doing it.

Just make a wallet on Electrum and send your deposits to there (mix it if you want, though probably not required) then use this as you please.

Really you are out of mind that is what I want to say about this thread to OP. You can use any wallet to deposit and withdraw the fund or else if you are comfortable for the gambling site wallet and you feel that it is secured, please use the same.
Most of the gambling site has the 2FA option so use it keep your fund secured.

Agree with this answer.
Use a wallet which you can download and use on your desktop just like electrum. Because then you dont run into issues as the above user from a few posts above mentions with in bitpays terms and services which to use their service for gambling is prohibited. Just like what coinbase does to the accounts they find sending funds to gambling sites.
Atleast with a wallet right on your pc your dont have to worry about where you send your funds too and possible loosing access to them and your account due to crossing their terms of service agreement.
