It seems that bitcoin for a Lambo is getting popular recently. There are two other sites offer the same thing, they are winalambo.com and freebitco.in
The only site that I trust is freebitcoin as it has been running for years already.
This site is not even secured by SSL certificate and the other thing addressed by Mirae is not showing that it is a good site to trust.

Any investor with a half decent brain would not bother investing in such a scammy looking website.

Well one can not have 100 percent judgement base on the graphics of a site, if the team behind this lottery is legit then the look of the website does not matter as long as the website is having the necessary features to aid the selection process. What I want to know is it only one Lamborghini that is going to be won, 0.005 btc is good enough for a lottery of 21,000 tickets.

So its means that if all the tickets are sold, the team could generate this much amount of BTC ... 21000 x 0.005 = 105 BTC

There need to be some escrow or any entity taking responsibilty that this site will not scam  :-X

Even if they're not a scam site the money they can get from selling the ticket would still be more than the money they cost to buy the lambo even at the current price of btc right now. The price of huracan in USA is about $260K+ and 105 BTC is $553K+ so they can earn profit half of their capital.

There will be free tickets via referral so they might get lesser, that's if they will be able to gather the finds they need. The funds should escrowed, we don't know whether if they will continue the draw if they won't be able to sell majority of the tickets.

Thank you for all your comments since our initial posting. We have had a lot of emails and also a number of attempts to purchase tickets via the entry page. These tickets sales will obviously not be fulfilled at this time as the draw doesn't open until 00:00 UTC 1st May, but we realise the ticket page perhaps wasn't clear enough and have added a bold notification of when tickets can be purchased. Apologies for any confusion on that.

In other comments made via email and here, yes of course we are making some profit from the draw after covering costs - that is how we are operating it, and we are planning to operate further bitcoin draws in the future (although this will be our one and only Lamborghini offering). We have set a profit margin that we feel is reasonable for the costs and logistics involved and yet also offers players a very fair margin of winning, as some have already calculated from ticket numbers against prize cost/overheads. We would add, however, that our profit margin is not as simple as number of ticket sales x cost of ticket vs cost of the car. Operating costs, especially with the logistics involved for a prize draw such as this one, are more substantial than may be imagined.

There is some concern about the scenario where the allocation of 21,000 tickets are not fully sold, along with the length of time the ticket sale for the draw will operate. Valid points, and we will be making additions to the website to cover this over the next few days.

Firstly, from our own experience in this sector and market testing earlier this year, along with the early positive response to the website, we are anticipating a swift and complete sale rather than the opposite. The referral system in particular has proven popular at all stages. In the event however of this not happening, we have a small 'buffer' number that the ticket sale can still be closed at. In the extremely unlikely event that the sale still does not succeed in reaching this number, then all tickets will be voided and funds will be returned to the wallet address they were made from. All funds from ticket purchases are held in separate addresses by player, easily visible on the blockchain, and this group of addresses are effectively 'escrowed' and are not touched unless a) All tickets are sold whereupon the funds are utilised for the prize, or b) The unlikely event of the draw being cancelled, whereupon the transactions are reversed to the addresses they came from.

In terms of ticket sale duration, we have to be guided up to a point by the rate of ticket sales over time, but rest assured this sale will not be entirely open-ended, nor indeed run for months or anything like that. It will be fairly easy to judge early on how long it is likely to take to complete the sale of tickets, and we will keep everyone updated on progress via email, posts on here and other places we are active, or players can check for themselves via the ticket sale progress bar on the front of the site.

True, if the lottery goes right then they may earn a lot of money but imagine if the all tickets are not sold after some months or even more than a year? Would you mind to wait for that long time without any guarantees of refund if the lottery does not reach its target? The drawing is also will be done live, but it does not guarantee that it is fair. Any gambling sites can offer something for their sites to be popular, Well I think this Lamborghini price was very suitable for their taste that is why many people really love lotteries such as this, A Lambo for 0.005 was not a bad idea but just a bit expensive for a 1 price lottery such as these, I think you should put more prices to be won, And I see the number of tickets available is 21,000 and it seems you still have a 0% sales might as well lessen the amount of Price needed, Or put a date for when the Lambo can be drawn.

Too expensive for a normal gambler, .005 if being lucky you'll be able to have a lambo of your dream, but that numbers of available tickets will be tough to sell out, as most gamblers already have doubts with the capabilities of the site owner, not even a secured site for collecting such amount of money considering selling out every tickets.

Why is this "lambo lottery" thing is getting so much attention lately. There is another dude doing it called "winlambo" or something and he has been trying to get people buy tickets for months now (with no success obviously since he still didn't giveaway the lambo) and there is a freebitco.in lottery starting soon that will result with someone getting 200k (instead of lambo but could be lambo if you live nearby them) and now we have this lamboforbitcoin lottery thing.

this makes the potential  total amount of 525.000$ cut by 25% , 525.000-25%=393.750$

Firstly, we have now set the final ticket sale opening time for 1400 UTC May 1st 2019. From that time, all tickets purchases will be processed in the order they are received, regardless of quantity. Please be aware there is a chance of early delays depending on demand, so your patience will be appreciated.

We will be putting some additional information on the website on Monday to clarify a number of scenarios raised and addressed here and from other avenues since launch was announced. Maybe they are selling a second hand? Do we know if he is selling a brand new one ? I mean it still doesn't make any sense and I still think there is a big chance that this is a scam but if we are going to do a math calculation of weather they are telling the truth or not the calculations should include a second hand one as well.

I think if they were legit (which I doubt they are but giving them benefit of the doubt) they could be selling either a second hand one that has a big mileage in it and costs less or they could just hope that the affiliates won't be for all tickets and they can make like 420k+ with this and than use that to buy the cheapest available option out there (even with tax that is gonna make them pay) so I really don't know but mathematically there could be a small tiny chance.

When I visit your site it inspires zero confidence in me to purchase tickets, hence are you planning to use an escrow so everyone can be secured about participating?. How do you plan to disburse the price will you deliver it in the winners country, or pay him an equivalent amount of bitcoins?.

A wise decision on not buying a single ticket from that site at all. We don't even know if buying lottery tickets from their site will go through an escrow but even if there is an escrow or third-party person that will hold your 0.005 BTC payment before it is sent to the site doesn't mean there is no possibility that the site won't scam or won't have a draw so all tickets are bought for nothing and the site would still earn money and they keep the lambo huracan lottery price and we don't even know that the lottery is provably fair as you have mentioned.

If we assume that it is a legit deal then it is still profitable for them as the price is just a half of the collected money from the tickets.

We appreciate all comments made and of course it's entirely up to members whether they choose to participate in the draw. If you're doubtful or critical then just don't take part, simple as that! The most important differentiator for our draw is the relatively high chance of winning compared with others. There is unfortunately no such thing as a free lunch - we could have set the ticket price lower, but then the ticket sale quantity would have to be increased and players would have less chance of winning. We have set up this draw with a much lower than typical maximum total number of tickets in order to give that higher chance of winning, especially for players holding multiple tickets via purchase and/or referrals.

At first I want to mention that creating website with UK license means absolutely nothing, it's even worse for you. It's very easy to obtain a license in UK and create SSL under that license, HYIP websites are using this method for years. Word UK won't lie a lot of people.

I would 100% judge a website like this based on its cover when they're using generic online stock photos and not a single, actual photo of whatever lambo they're supposedly going to give away. The raffle/lottery is a means of buying the car and then giving it away, if they're giving one away at all. That and their company doesn't exist on any London registry, I doubt they even have an office in the building they claim to have one in. No phone number, just an email, a claim that they're run by a non-existent corporation, and a newbie account too. At least this took some CSS skills to make, but I'm pretty sure that this is a hot scam waiting to happen.

I just feel like people are all agreed on the fact that blockchain lottery system needs to come asap. If we can send ethereum to some address and get some tokens automatically without manual work from the ICO team or if we can just send money and automatically involve in some sort of dapp that means ethereum could have some legit lottery as well.

Its good that you took caution and gave the OP red trust. Basically this is the reason why these contests should always be done in a trustless manner by a form of smart contract with an indepedant 3rd party inspection to make sure the contest is carried out correctly.

I am assuming he started this contest because of the popularity of the other "Win a lambo" thread and assumed many people would just send him the ticket price for BTC since its low. Since its a small amount, if he scammed he figured most people wouldn't care since they didn't lose out too much.

He most likely will not show a photo of the lambo because it doesn't exist. It might or might not exist when the ticket sales are over. Either way its hard to price a lambo if you hold an international contest because they vary by region. And even if the contest is real the results can be skewed towards the counties without "gas guzzler" taxes since it would be cheaper to buy there and they would hold more of the remaining proceeds.

^^ I got to agree with that basic request.   If the sale was done in Bitcoin for the tickets then its easy enough to show that revenue in a basic way and adds some simple transactional detail and assurance to participants and future participants

So basically in less than 24 hours you have managed to sell over 4000 tickets and collect over $100,000 in proceeds already? This is beginning to look more of a scam since this seems like some FOMO attempt to sell more tickets.

If you want to prove this is legit, at least post the BTC address where all these tickets sales are being held in. So if we see 4000 transactions sent there , each averaging $25, we might believe you.

Or if someone actually bought a ticket and sent their BTC, please post the transaction ID so we can further investigate.

Posting btc transactions would be enough evidence that they are getting the claimed amount from those tickets. That stat bar can be easily manipulated by the owner. People nowadays are trying all the trick in the book to scam other people.

Scammers knows the dream of every people in the cryptocurrency market in driving their own lambo. But who in their right mind will send 0.005 to some random website that just pop's out few days ago with no history of being an online raffle platform.

We read this interest the positive and negative posts on all of the places we are promoting this, but repeat what we said previously - people can and should make their own decisions on whether to participate. If you don't want to buy any tickets that's absolutely fine and not a problem. Engaging in a to-and-fro with those who are against the project achieves nothing except hot air and a waste of time for all concerned. We also simply wouldn't have the time across all the channels we are promoting this.

On a more positive note we have now distributed around a third of the ticket allocation, which includes the first group of referral tickets. It's impossible to give a clear average purchase amount per holder as there is too much variance at the moment. Some buy one or two tickets, some a lot more. At 21,000 total tickets, this is a small draw compared to most and consequently gives much better odds of winning.

We are now up to date with processing ticket applications, and look forward to a second day as successful as the first.

The bitcoin for Lambo lottery is getting more popular on the forum and at that users need to be very careful to avoid scam at the end, with this ops not replying to all the obvious question being asked on this thread is a pointer to the fact that they are avoiding question that point out a potential scam. Claiming on the site of  18% ticket sales within hours of launch without evidence of the record's. Of the transactions.

It is 38% now, what a fast move but obviously I do not believe with this information. I'm sure it is just a fake stats to attract newbies who are dreaming to get a lambo for 0.005btc but they ignore the fact that it is a shady site. Nice try for the owner to fool people by faking stats but no one should fall in this trap. Owner should prove the 38% sold tickets are real, if he cant prove it then it is clear that he is trying to scam.

I think thats the problem with the raffles, if you do that you can get away with one win and you will be rich no question (if you can actually make others believe you are going to actually give a lambo and they buy the tickets) however if they do it once and rip people off than they will not have the chance to do it again. Whereas if they do it legit and they get someone from here or someone they do not know so a stranger than they will get to do it again and again and the more they do it the easier it will be to sell all their tickets because people will believe they are legit and there is a chance they can win. If they are legit than instead of ripping people off once they can keep doing it and profiting from it constantly forever which would make them richer by doing something properly with no risk for them.

This would gain more followers if the site owners shows more transparency. Unlike the other site that shows photos of the one who owns the lambo and run the contest, this site is protecting their identity too much. Did they posted the photo of the lambo that they are raffling off or I just missed it? For me, this is just another way to scam people for money.

This is getting super funny, I am pretty sure they are either scamming someone out of this forum because nobody here would pay even for 1 ticket and there are a lot of idiots everywhere in the world or they are lying about how much they sold. They could literally just sell a thousand dollar worth of tickets and claim its all sold and the lambo was given to someone who they are related to and call it a day. It is insane to think that someone got over 300 thousand dollars in couple of days and can't even operate a business properly.

Or course there are many people doubt about your lottery because there is no transparency of the ticket sales. A lottery should be transparent, means that you need to show where do you collect the money from ticket sales. It is not that hard to prove if you are an honest operator but if you keep on ignoring the doubt of us by not giving any proofs then many people will say that you cant be trusted at all.

If this was truely legit he would post some type of cold storage where the funds are held in and we could verify. People are very trusting and it is enough for scammers to promise a more expensive reward so that people start giving them their money.
I am sure that it is impossible for Lamborghini to play in the lottery due to the fact that it will be difficult to get your winnings even if the organizer is not a fraud.

I think its more like using distributed responsibility which is used on crowds of people.   The con is to appear as a legitimate concern similar to other successful schemes, projects, business, etc and so long as they get 80% match of whats worked previous they can run it for their own favour

They missed out some parts of a UK draw so I'm going to be surprised if its real.    I've won items before where it just got sent instead to somebody who knew the owner of the prize draw, I was supposed to have won but the prize was just recycled back via a friendly winner who just hands it back to the promoter.    Street scams also operate this, the bargain buyer of an expensive good is actually connected to the seller which convinces others to buy, etc     My item was nothing big and they just faked ever sending it out, bit harder to fake a car registration in somebody's name but who knows.

If all tickets are sold I presume theres no further point to spinning any scam further, that would be the traditional point to exit with the monies and really never bother saying another thing to the entrants.    We are all too jaded in our world view I guess, just I dont get why there was never any proof given of sales and bits required by UK law such as free entry details were not supplied.   To not even research the minor details of what is supposedly being run is a bit iffy, but perhaps merely just incompetence, who knows.   Good luck to people either way

So far I've skimmed throughout every post in this thread and couldn't find anyone that claims to bought a ticket and posted the transaction ID and traced where the funds went. Since I am 110% sure this is a scam, I rather not find out by sending the scammer a test transaction.

If we got at least 1 transaction ID, then we can see where it goes forwarded (if it gets pooled together somewhere) and we can find out if more people actually sent money there. So if they actually sold all the tickets, the balances would show up.

However this is a very sleazy scam attempt and the OP does a horrible job at answering questions. Hopefully the red trust keeps away most new adopters from getting scammed.

We wont see even single transaction here IMO, I do believe all members in this forum are smart enough already. We/They wont spend any satoshi for this kind of lottery. In case there is someone share a transaction and we know where the transaction goes then I think the owner will say "every user has their own deposit address to buy the tickets and we do not collect it into one address"

I have never heard of LamboForBitcoin.com before I heard it today. This site did not seem like good to me. I think this site needs to be improved. We already know there are not many merchants who are accepting Bitcoin as a payment method and now there is a company from London which is fully regulated and hosting a contest where they're giving away a Lamborghini Huracan that is stupid. Their draw on 13th will make sure if they will succeed or not. I do not doubt that they will give away a lambo but I am not sure about who they are going to give it to, maybe they will give it to someone they know or from their team or even the owner who knows? So, that is why having a draw and giving away a lambo doesn't mean anything on public's eye as long as you actually follow that up with a legit giveaway and someone actually winning a lambo from this and you doing everything in your power to prove that you didn't scammed anyone with this.

If you do that then you can continue to do this exact raffle once a month and everyone will buy tickets. If you fail to do that and convince people you are not going to get rid of that red trust and will get many more on top of that.

This is starting to get boring and annoying, so all of you are now giving out a Lamborghini? Everywhere I go every bet site is talking about winning a Lamborghini, even Freebitco.in are saying the same thing and here are these ones that we know nothing. I trust Freebitco.in cause they have been around from the beginning, so theirs is legit, but as for this one, it doesn't look trustworthy, even the name of the sites - Lambo For Bitcoin, that seems like you guys created that for this purpose and nothing else.

It is like from the site said that 21,000 tickets has been sold out, this is what they said before. And today is suppose they make a draw who is the winner but it seems that there is no update about the winners detail or from the OP. May be we should from a new updates from OP to see who is pretty lucky to win this lambo or equivalent worth of bitcoin

I gues this is now heading to a direction that we all have to be watchful, we have high expectations of how this will go but as it the ops have not response to a number of questions on this thread, any way I never have any trust on them since a newbie without any reputation and limited informations about the site and today have proven it all that they were just a joker. As predicted by many, this turned out to be a lambo scam. No doubt, they will run another hit in the future.

Same here. But they still managed to pull a stunt of saying they will "live stream" the lottery draw. Honestly, I thought we will see the actual draw but unfortunately, it was another lie. Though I didn't send any money, yet I hope those who sent their satoshis were not big enough. The last laugh is still on these scammers.

It was quite obvious that they were scammers all along but honestly it was what it was expected, they didn't even let it grow big neither, they could have gotten so much more if they continued to get more money from people and actually wait for 100% of all tickets to be sold but they just moved the cursor by themselves and sold all of them were sold in reality it was probably not even 10% sold. Which is good if you think about it, at least they didn't get to steal that much money, in crypto there were people who got away with literally over a million dollars from scams.

This was another show to crypto world on how you have to ask for proof before sending your money, crypto is not credit card, there is no chargeback, if you pay up in crypto you say goodbye to that money.

The mistake to learn from this fairly cheap scam was the failure to maintain proper details inline with even the basic draws taking place in UK.    There were various sections of compliance to that code that were not followed and would have resulted in fraud charges or tax issues if the draw were a real deal in any way.

Yes they still do that and hope people are going to increase and believe them but many people already know their trick and zi do not think that it is going to be a real draw again. This is soon to be expected as a scam site from the begining and just because of this 21,000 tickets, many of then seeing this as their opportunity to win because it sold out like they said without any proof of it. I just feel pity for them who bought many of this fake tickets

Seriously? If you would have bothered to read the posts above, you would have understood that this is nothing but a big fat scam as expected and gullible investors lost their money due to their greed.

The scammers did not even bother hosting the live draw and just laughed at the faces of the investors. Despicable indeed.

I still do not think there was a lot of people that bought tickets from here, dude could have advertised somewhere else as well which could result with some more people losing money because of it but on average I think he didn't even sold like 10 thousand dollars worth of tickets. We have seen at the peak of ICO times people who created fake ICO just to get peoples money from them without even offering anything, this is not a bigger scam than they were.

Now, we need to see this as an example of what could "lambo raffle" could be and check the other ones much more carefully next time around. I think without a proper legal registration it is impossible to trust these people or they have to already have a trusted relationship. Freebitcoin has that and I believe they will actually give it away.

He probably just raised a few hundreds dollars from unsuspecting people outside bitcointalk, There's no doubt it was a scam from the very beginning, the way he act and handle all the question raised against him is enough reason not to trust his raffle scam

People just don't really understand to conduct a right research for every investment or using money in this crypto world. There are so many scammers out here like this website. People believe that they will really give lambo for just low cost. It is really not possible for me especially this website is new.

The reason for not trusting this kind websites is because anyone can do this kind of stuff, create a nice looking website and promise people to offer a free lambo or something expensive just for buying a $2 ticket. Freebitco.in is an old website that's been running for years and I don't see any reason why wouldn't they give it away since it's not a giveaway or something like that, it's a raffle and people pay for that prize.

We cant stop scammer because they come with varieties of strategy which it cant be unravel early sometime but for us to eliminate or minimize them we need to work today and we need the forum moderators help either. I mean there should be a forum rules and regulation analysis for every new project before they are posted on the forum just like the exchange site do the IEO examination of every new project.

There is nothing new about any of this. Scammers have been using these tricks to scam investors since ages and they decided to scam investors at present due to the surge in BTC value.

They will always come up with creative ways to scam investors which is why we need to stop falling into their traps in order to decrease these scams.

I am sure they are working on new scam which they will announce somewhere in this forum, it is what they do for a living. So how to clean forum from scams? You can't, at least we can weed out some scams like this one.

thanks this forum pobble not certain was scam and not know if to invest or not but forum help me know was scam so no loss money. sad that lot did buy scam tickets from site and that scammer got money but we all help know which is scam now

No we couldn't stop the scammers but we could stop our self from being scam by being cautious on what we are going to do.
Scammers are only there to fool us and it is up to us if we would let them do it so people should always be cautious on what they are going to do,
Because we couldn't blame it on the scammers because we are also to blame because it was our fault on believing them.

Other will surely use any types of attempt in order to gain some easy money. But it's great that it was caught before he/she was able to get some free amount. I wonder if there are victims that falls from this attempt, marlboroza did the great job to warn the newbies.

But if someone has the good heart to start this kind of raffle genuinely, it will be very interesting to enter for sure even if it will cost a little amount for the entrance.

The site is already deleted and the FTP folder has been wipe-out leaving all the traces of his fake raffle scam.

For as long as people will fall for this scam trick, Scammers will never stop launching this type of website to earn money online from unsuspecting people.

Damn, those people really need to do some background check before participating on those kind of foolish draw scams. For sure some gullible persons was deceive by that scammer and run away as fast as he can. Jeez easy money indeed.

That's how the trick was, this scammers will be there and keep lurking around and wait for another chance to create another system like this, it's really needed for everyone to be well aware and avoid this kind of scam attempt and not to be fool by this people.

Scammers will always be there creating this kind of websites because they know there will always be someone stupid enough to offer them free money. That's just how it works and it wonders me where could they find so many people to scam since I'm thinking they could not possibly scam the same persons over and over again.

I think people need to educate themselves to find out which site can scam and which site is legit.  I always avoid new gambling and lottery sites. Most of the lotteries site are solely made to scam people and exit.  Too much attractive heading like "Win A Lamborghin" is itself a sign that they will scam you as they won't be giving you Lamborghin from their own pocket.

Its not about education, because you don't have to graduate a university to make the difference between a website that is legit and one that is a scam. It's simply a matter of choice. Some people are just stupid and don't actually know the difference while others are just irresponsible and even though they know the website is most likely a scam they still trow their money in thinking its only $5 and why wouldn't they try their chances. That's just the world we live in today, and there is nothing more we can do other than warning those people about this scams even though as I said there are some people who really despite everyone saying it is a scam they still go with their own version. At the end of the day, everyone is free to do whatever they want with their money.

I think the idea is that we do not have to control scams, I know this is purely evil and it is definitely wrong train of thought but maybe, just maybe, if people are gullible enough to fall for an obvious scam then the scammer actually deserves that money more than the gullible person?

This is more like a Darwinian approach to scams which is not quite common anywhere in the world relay because it lacks honor which I agree is a bad thing but honestly if someone says we will give out lambo and even their ticket price calculations do not check out to begin with then anyone who jump in here and give them their money deserved to lose it. Nobody with a small grain of a brain would have betted here if they cared to read just the first 2-3 pages and anyone who jumped on the chance without reading deserved to be scammed.

But I dont see anyone complaint here about being scammed or not. Although OP does not update any informations here, is there a possibility that they manage to pick up the winners here? People wont complain publicly that much because I hope they committed a relatively small amount and posting about their involvement just underlines the loss and the mistake made.   Its common part of a scam that victims wont always speak up about it, through embarrassment basically.
But I do not think badly of anyone involved in this way as its basically an abuse of trust and unfortunately its quite clear even before the close that this contest was not compliant with the law and contained false details.    I dont think theres any chance anyone received anything back from their entry
