Am curious, and will need several opinions here, in most news out there I hear echos "Ethereum classic is a real Ethereum", how do you guys think?

I think is better Ethereum because is the first coin and this will always have higher value, but who want can invest on both and this is possible that both bring a profit on long time.

if we talk about wich one is better between ethereum and ethereum classic,

I think Ethereum is vastly superior.

At least with ETC it is a legitimate forked chain with a real reason for the split and for sustaining the chain - which is a lot more than can be said for all the BTC splits. But still, ETC is not as good as ETH and I dono't think its future is as good. ETH is by far the number one smart contract platform, and I can't see ETC ever replacing it.

Of the two, Ethereum is more popular and has more corporate partners. So I think Ethereum is the better investment. However, because Ethereum Classic is the unforked original chain, some are philosophically more aligned with it. Notably, Cardano has contributed to the Ethereum Classic project.

If that's true where do you put vitalik ,real ETH is ethereum as stop listening to FUDs spreading around on the internet and have you been able to compare ethereum to the classic ETH? The difference is clear ,the classic is not a bad coin but can't beat original ETH hands down

technically ethereum classic is the original blockchain which kept the immutability of the chain instead of doing the roll back and get back the money of the ethereum foundation back to them.
but since ethereum is centralize the "real" ethereum is determined only as the one that the foundation (the owners) says it is so ETH is the "real" one that is getting pumps and the hype of their advertisements.
in the end they are both bad since they share the same code and that is filled with issues.

I think that this dispute does not make sense, it is better to pay attention to the facts. Ethereum has a lot of advantages to date, it ranks second in terms of capitalization and has a very strong team of developers, the number of DAPP is superior to other platforms twice. Ethereum Classic can not boast of such successes, but it is believed that if the developers of these coins start cooperation, it will be a plus for both projects.

I think etheruem is better established in the heart of holders and other altcoin use the etheruem platform and there is hardly what to do to change the minds of people. Etheruem classic I think is forked though with nice tech.

Ethereum is very good than the classic Ethereum because the popularity is held by Ethereum with a very good team that is respected by some famous people and believes Ethereum will be good in the future, only speculation there may be special intentions in conveying something like that, let's wait for the movement but I will choose Ethereum as the winner now and so on from every very strong support.

For me Eth is the real deal, it is the real decentralized mega network on which many teams are working to improve and upgrade it and i am sure future will bring massive profits to eth holders because eth will get rid of all its issues and come up as the best blockchain network.

So far, Ethereum still become a favor of most crypto supporters because anyone can build a project on top on it. Meanwhile, with a bad history on Ethereum, could make a positive impact for Ethereum Classic to be a stronger platform or to create the more secure platform in future.

Although ethereum is better than ethereum classic, I still buying both ethereum and ethereum classic. My reason is that ethereum is already proving to me that ethereum is a good project. And for ethereum classic is because the price is not too expensive and I could buy now with a low price and hold it for a while.

And if ethereum price can get an increase, I am sure that it will happen too with ethereum classic and we already see that ethereum classic was increased higher too. So, buying ethereum and ethereum classic is a good choice for me, but you don't have to follow what I did because you still need to analyze and research about both coins so you can get more information to buy that coin or not.

Etherum is the second major coin after bitcoin with vast utility.  And of recent there has been some unique development on etherum blockchain as Microsoft has been investing a lot into the development of Blockchain of which etherum is at the fore front I’m sure they bought a nice amount of ETH.

Ethereum classic basically is what ethereum used to be when it first started and right now has absolutely nothing that could show people or help people to actually get proffered over ethereum. Ethereum on the other hand could so much with its blockchain, it could do ICO stuff, dapp stuff, data service type of stuff and many more. That is why when there is a versus amons ethereum classic and ethereum there is absolutely no way of the classic winning that. However the real deal is why hasn't classic died yet? Why is it not under 1 satoshi? Why is it still around if it is so useless and has no purpose ?

Well, that is a real good question that I have no answer to and would like to know more about. What are the ethereum classic holders think when they are investing into it? That would shed so much light on all other useless coins seeing attention as well.

If you ask me which one i choose, i will choose Ethereum, because for now, Ethereum more useful than Ethereum Classic, almost every transaction will use  Re: Ethereum beside Bitcoin.

so far I see ETH which is more dominant than ETC. almost all ERC20 tokens use ethereum, so if this is about the problem of using ethereum it is superior. I don't even really know what ETC is doing these months, they are like dead coins. there is no good thing I've heard from that project.

everyone will definitely choose ethereum because ethereum is much better. ethereum classic is like bitcoincash. so whatever he does will never be able to defeat the original coin. it's just a copy project, there is no real use and everything moves because of speculation. ethereum has solid development team and a very visible leader. when they introduce improvements or new aspects on their platform, a lot are talking about it. but for ETC, i dont see many threads talking about them.

I still prefer ETH to ETH classic, even though ETH classic is higher in price than ETH, but ETH it has good will compare to any altcoin.

If you give a choice between Ethereum classic or Ethereum. I will still choose Ethereum (ETH) optimistically. I have my own reasons since a few months ago and will remain loyal to ETH. Obviously, it is good to choose Ethereum, that is the leader of all altcoins. Ethereum Classic is the copy cat of Ethereum so nothing has a solid team on ETC than ETH. There's nothing make any sense if you have to choose ETC because that is a totally shitcoins that we must be avoided to fall in a trap.

They are basically thesame when they started but then ETH got upgraded and Classic is not updated or say upgraded I think if you are looking for a good investment then sticking with Ethereum will make you a greater choice than classic but still make your research first and decide for yourself

ethereum is the real ethereum and etc is just another fork coin of ethereum and that's the worst thing in the cryptocurrency. Basically, the fork coin is failed crypto and we must consider that as a crap one. That fork coin should not exist before. Medium coin is much better than etc.

Well ethereum classic will never stand toe to toe with ethereum in my opinion. I recently learnt Ethereum classic currency doesn't have a fixed supply and that really doesn't go down well with me... Limited supply is one of the driving force behind the value of cryptocurrencies and taking away that feature greatly inflicts the integrity of the Ethereum classic blockchain.. Secondly I think they have failed to deliver much over the years and the absence of products seriously makes ETC unfavorable in my opinion..

It’s quite the opposite you know. Before the DAO hack and Ethereum fork, Ethereum Classic (ETC) is the first Ethereum.

This is just like on saying Bitcoin Cash is the real Bitcoin. lol Theres no way that a forked coin would able to surpass the price into its origin.Lets say they are more better as a forked coin but on the end
the support of people would still stick to the original ones even if it do have flaws.

if it is the technical side I prefer the ETC, but since I live in a capitalist country, the ETH has more visibility and return financially.

Obviously ethereum is more better not only the price but also to the others like partners and project. We know ethereum classic is replica of the ethereum so we neeed to stick to the ethereum who really potential.

If must pick from title, i will pick Ethereum. Because main coin is better than it's hardfork result for me. I don't have technical reason about this but until now i still believe old coins is still better.

First you have to understand the birth of ethereum as a result of dividing the string from classic ethereum. After the hacker's attack on the ethereum network, their community decided to split the ethereum string from the classic ethereum. so ethereum is still more appreciated. I personally prefer to invest in ethereum, it's popular and technology is better than ethreum classic.

Exactly, we haven't seen any fork coin more successfully than the original. Besides, Ethereum has been taking as the dominant mainnet and investment platform for ICO's so I have no doubt that it is the better of the two. Although you can still invest on Classic and just wait for it to be pump and dump to get a profits but that's about it.

not really  . i dont chose eth but ill go for eth classic   . why ? simply because i support fork coins   .  the original eth is too big for me while eth classic was a more lighter . what i mean is that eth classic is less congested and it only cost a little fee compare to the original eth  . eth classic is also starting to become popular because i see that it was now accepted on a couple of gambling sites that im playing with   .

Personally I don't like Ethereum Classic and this is due to the controversy that caused the hack... but currently with its price so low 1 ETC = 0.00095687 BTC I am considering investing some Bitcoin in it for a short time investment.

My opinion is etherum is better instead of ethereum classic, due to mostly used by ico's.

As much as I hated the guts of Ethereum and respected the decisions of Ethereum Classic,,, I am a user and can only testify to the currencies that I know how to use, I understand and can actually use. Can I use ETC to pay for stuff and transact? Yes, but only with great difficulty,,, on the other hand if ETC dev team gets serious one day and people finally see their potential as a currency and an asset, it will be an easy switch to make.

Ethereum classic is just made for the ethereum also for its own health. Balancing the chain is the main cause of why they split ethereum. Ethereum will be the only number one in two. It has a high value and it is more valuable to the investor rather than ethereum classic.

If we tank about overall usage Ethereum is way better than Ethereum Classic, it is obvious since Ethereum is being used more for that fact I think Ethereum surpasses Ethereum Classic in each aspect but still if we are talking about profit it might be better to consider Ethereum Classic since in my personal opinion Ethereum is too bound to Bitcoin so I prefer Ethereum Classic in regards of the situation.

I don't think ethereum is the first coin but rather ethereum classic, when the fork was created they had to rename ethereum as ethereum classic and the forked coin as ethereum because everyone accepted the forked coin than the original blockchain itself, but the truth is that ethereum has so much features in it that ethereum classic is still yet to have and might not have in years to come since the team behind the project are focused more on the ethereum blockchain, trying to solve the issue of scalability which is a major problem in the space.

For the better the ethereum is better because we know that it is more potent than the ethereum classic even though the eth price drops many ethical consumers in eth because their community is large and they have many investors in exchangers and more all of them are good for their project this year is potentially the potential to raise the price of eth so others take advantage of purchasing more eth due to the longterm and there is potential token that we know that many altcoins and the new project is beautiful but be careful of choice because not all of it has potential and longterm else because it is shitcoin.

True Ethereum classic is the true chain of initial Ethereum but Ethereum has forked (several times) for good.
It's not just perceptions, simple data would prove that Ethereum is the Ethereum chain people love.
Be it in the price, usages or utilities, be it the number of tokens issued in the platform, dapps or smart contracts.

I know the guys who seriously think that Ethereum Classic will vanish from the market soon. I know them as successful traders, who did not even lose much when the bloodbath happened.
Naturally, I trust them and listen to their advice. I am going to invest in Ethereum as the best existing altcoin. Next year it will go to the Moon. Therefore, now, it is the best time for getting it.

I believe that ethereum has long been on the market and it is more likely to be higher and better.  Also ethereum has a large number of users who support it, I believe that this is already an excellent result.  I always invest in it and consider it the best among the Altcoins.

How did ethereum classic come by in the first place because I don't recall this coin having problems like bitcoin did which resulted in several forks ??? But of the two I would go for ETC if I wanted to make a crypto transfer because the ethereum classic network is not as busy as ethereum(ETH) but it's better to go with the original :)

Ethereum classic is a fork from the real ethereum. It's like saying bitcoin cash is better than the real bitcoin. Not possible. Ethereum is the real deal. Don't buy rubbish forked coins that will make you regret later.

People loves Ethereum because it is easy to build a project on top of it. But, if we look back Ethereum has a bad history and that's the reason behind the hard-fork for Ethereum Classic (It's different case with BTC and BCH anyway). I think, Ethereum Classic has always a chance to be everyone's favor IF they really provide a security that will make it purely secure from hacks. Unfortunately, until today everyone loves hype more than security, so no chance for now for Ethereum Classic to win against Etereum.

For now, ETH is still far better than ETC, but in certain conditions there will definitely be times when ETC is better for investment because in the coin market it always goes up and down.

Probably you are right mate that ethereum is a good coin and have strong platform and blockchain technology that could make the ethereum very popular to the investors and it also have a huge value in the market until now.

Of course first coins of Ethereum is better for everyone. Ethereum crypto market is a comprehensive demand currency and possesses higher volumes. Etherum is a great coin for me to grow profits.

All Those claims doesn’t make any sense, Ethereum Classic remains what it is called and the real Ethereum we know remains Ethereum.  So whoever is saying that ETC is the main Ethereum doesn’t really know what they are saying. ETC has already been abandoned, if not for the bull run that started recently and cause the price to rise up. But let’s see how it’s going to ETC users soon,  cause it’s probably going to be a pump and dump and is going to leave bodies on the rock very soon.

Yes right, ethereum is better and more promising than ETH Classic, this is because of the many ETH-based tokens that make many tokens or projects need ETH.

Ethereum is a smarter version of the original Ethereum Classic, which is why it has received public recognition and is more popular.

All these hardforks of Ethereum turned out to be scams i guess. i would rather invest in Ethereum and than invest in any of those hardforks. With the price of BTC rising so sharply Ethereum would also rise to make its investors profits.

Personally I prefer Ethereum. Ethereum experienced a poor decline in price and then a period of recessionin this year.  Improvements on the platform were delayed. In the meantime, many investors continued to hold ethereum, in my portfolio was always ethereum. I believe that soon the waiting will end and the price will rise.

Seeing ETC is a very good coin and the price is now rising. But ETH also continues to grow bigger because prices always follow the growth of Bitcoin. Ethereum will still continue to be the best because it still has a very large community. Even still believed to be a platform with smart contracts.

It's definitely Ethereum taking the lead. ETC for me is no match for ETH, let's call a spade a spade. Ethereum foundation keeps the development and great updates coming, that's a plus for ETH.

I do have the same though since ETH is ahead to ETC and I think there’s no current progress with the ETC. Holding more ETH can be profitable that to hold ETC, though both are good coins but ETH really deserve the top position. $300 is soon to begin, so hold more ETH now and other altcoins I see a small growth with etc this year.

Well, at the moment I can't see why ethereum needs to be forked out to make ethereum classic. You know, we can already see, that ethereum's transaction speed, security and system is already working good. I think there's nothing to worry about it for the mean time. Lets just wait and see what will going to happen next.

Most people know that split coins will have new name. Like Bitcoin Cash which has split from Bitcoin. Probably that's why he thought ETC is the one which has split from the original Ethereum. Evidently ethereum, so far ethereum is still the best altcoin. But I can't say classic ethereum is bad, both are good altcoins.
For investment you are free to choose ethereum or ethereum classic, because this coin has good prospects going forward.

While it is true that Ethereum Classic is the true Ethereum chain (hardfork last 2016 caused the Eth and Etc), I don't see much development there last ICO boom of 2017. Almost all those that did ICO last 2017 used Ethereum chain than Ethereum Classic. That boom also gave rise to Eth to be the #1 altcoin.

If I were to choose between eth classic vs ethereum.  I wouldn't think twice but to choose ethereum. Honestly, I never buy ethereum classic. Not that I didn't trust that coin but I just want to be wise and choose other altcoins that are really profitable for me. Like altcoins that are strong in the market and have established good reputations.

Why would you think the reaction of vitalik if people believe in that issue? Or maybe Vitalik Buterin is also responsible to the creation of Ethereum classic? i personally like ethereum, from the beginning i knew crypto, i really only liked two coins, namely bitcoin and ethereum.
lately i have increasingly liked ethereum, because the price is increasing every day.

but we can invest in both coins. because both are good coins, we don't need to compare them.

It's better to choose the one who already have a good community support, ETH gain more followers and even it falls down to hard the support still there, now that it's moving back and making a good rise up choosing it for investment will have a better chance for success, you need to be more optimistic so you can hold and wait while investing to this coin.

I think it will be better to investing in Ethereum. The DAO 3.6million Ether incident was the beginning of the fork between Ethereum and Ethereum Classic.
Some parties were rejecting the fork, and keep continuing the old chain, it is Ethereum Classic.
For that reason, i believe that is better to investing in Ethereum than Ethereum Classic.

Me, I usually don’t care about any coin that either is a fork or copy of another coin, the main coin will always be stronger. Those coins usually have nothing to offer, they only hide under the name of the original project, and ethereum will always be more preferable and more reliable than ethereum classic.

Ethereum has the most used product out of all coins out there, there's alot of ico's happening inside the ethereum smart contract, ethereum classic is just the older version of ethereum, ETC replacing ETH doesn't look very clear to me.

Ethereum classic value is not too high, it means people less trust the coin.
Better to choose Ethereum than Ethereum classic because the main chain was forked from the DAO hack some years ago.

Ethereum classic is a smaller fork of Ethereum. Something like Bitcoin Cash or Bitvoin SV. And you see it is not as good as original one: Ethereum/ Bitcoin.

You have strong possibilities to make profit with ETH and ETH classic because both are good in the long run only those who invest in bear will make maximum profit with it. However, both have similarities as well as differences that are mainly related to the price movement. When the ETH increases the ETH classic also follows the same road which is a good sign. I trust Ethereum (ETH) as genuine, and not Ethereum Classic (ETC). I have never seen until now the ETC can and will replace the important role of ETH. In popularity ETH dominates and has many users, it's proven right? There is no reason for me to doubt Ethereum (ETH) until this moment. In fact, I get enough profit  in the month with ETH trading.

I see no reason why you would see something real, which is ethereum and choose a counterfeit of it. Well, i am not saying that ethereum classic is a counterfeit coin. At least, it is one of the good ones we have in the crypto space, but that when it comes to accessing them, ethereum is much better.

Ethereum Classic is an average coin in my view! Ethereum and Ethereum Classic are like the  Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash! Ethereum Classic community is not good enough and their admin's behavior is not professional! I was shocked by seeing some admins reply, it seems they don't care all of their customers! Therefore, ETC reputation is decreasing nowadays!

Just put up on your mind that there would be no forked coin that would be more much better than the original ones.
Lets say they are overhauled when it comes to features or specs but the support would still stick to the older ones.

I don't really want to choose between them. Ofc, Ethereum seems more profitable and stable, and people trust it more. But Ethereum Classic has a nice tech and the price is pretty affordable, so I can test some different trading strategies with it, especially for margin trading.

Affordable? I think it's price is not affordable anymore as it started with 1usd and now already trading at $12, meaning, traders and investors have already made profit investing on ETH, same with ETH , the price is not anymore cheap but if we believe on the project, we look at its future potential price which I believe both projects has still more room to grow.

Although ethereum looks superior to ethereum classic, I think it is worth to invest in ethereum classic because this coin can increase anytime. The price of ethereum classic still not too high to buy, so we can buy a huge amount of that coin and hold it for a while. I feel like ethereum classic is a good miners coin, it doesn't really bring in anything aside from that. Unfortunately in crypto world there are coins who are still alive and has a market cap all because day traders, miners and stuff like that keep buying/selling it and make it still relevant when in reality they do not have any proper investors to begin with.

It is not like bitcoin or even ethereum where there are investors who buy it for long term to make a profit, it is just a temporary thing for the people. Ethereum classic is a forked version of the real ethereum and we can call that as a lite version of ethereum which has already created caused by the DAO hardfork. That's similar like litecoin as a lite version of bitcoin I think that's very easy to understand about what ethereum classic is.

Undoubtedly Ethereum is more better then Ethereum Classic. Even I can't imagine any comparison between Ethereum Classic with Ethereum in any way. Ethereum is one of the most widely used & popular currencies of the present day. Considering that aspect, even there are so many people who don't know anything about Ethereum Classic.

This sounds like the same statement, 'bitcoin cash is the real bitcoin' even if they say or market their coins in the name of top coins no one is going to accept their argument. To be honest personally i have not ever considered etc in my list of holdings, i try to stay in real projects like btc and eth and try to stay away from look alikes although they often give good pumps but it can go away quite quickly as well.

There are only few token created using etc and after creating the token most of them  move again to ethereum platform because they know that they will not get the demand they want and expected to happen  if they will continue to use ethereum classic .

I do not agree. Don't compare ethereum with ethereum classic. Ethereum has a stronger technology than ethereum classic. The smart contract created by ethereum. I mean, before Ethereum did hardfork. Various kinds of projects using ethereum technology. so obviously almost everyone chooses ethereum.

It would be easy choice for anyone to pick either one based on the rate of growth happened in last 10 days or in current bull run. Based on this fact, obviously everyone should choose ethereum and should abondon ethereum classic.

A improvement based fork is always made for making the coin better. If you consider this fact then you must adopt ethereum alone. (Do not get confused by the fork of BCH as it was not a BIP based fork). Bitcoin must have had a fork but fortunately devs came up with segwit and I believe in near future we must need another BIP like segwit otherwise hard fork may be inveitable.
