Rise and fall is the universal affect of crypto and it is possible that some time a coin can silent for a better reason i would like to make some other coins through bounty and it is good for me to hold different coins for bright future crypto coins is the best option for me as student because it is a type of job for me and i can provide my skills and services to earn some crypto.

Litecoin is far from been dead ,believe me its never going to happen ,litecoin is one of the oldest coins out there and it survive till date for some reasons ,we have few updates this year alone ,atleast it shows that the team still supports it ,my question is hope you aren't holding only litecoin?

Litecoin have recovered heavily, just like Bitcoin.
I'm using the graph for the 3 months statistics, (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/litecoin/) and we can see that the lowest price was $33 (rounded off),
while the current price is $77, we can tell there's a major improve and it's over 100%.

Looking at the above, IT'S NOT DEAD>  ;D

In terms of prices LTC is definitly not dead. One of the few coins which could keep pace with BTCs rise in the last few month.
In terms of features and project development LTC will definitly face hard times. There arent any features which other Top 20 coins dont offer.

You should know that volatility is part of all cryptocurrencies and at that you should not expect litecoin to always be increasing in price at all time and don't get your self worked out because of a slide downward movement in the price of the coin because that can not avoided in the market. If you have seen the potential in litecoin and being able to accumulate huge amount as you have said then you should continue to believe and support the coin. I see the entire crypto market recovering and doing great at the moment.

It's not dead on the hype and its price but if we can see that from the fundamental of litecoin and it looks like a dead coin. No utility usage and it becomes an experimental coin to implement any solution that will be implemented to the bitcoin protocol.
https://blokt.com/news/litecoin-just-a-glorified-testnet-of-btc-charlie-lee-wont-take-it-lying-down-fires-back-at-novogratz
People are interesting to buy it caused by the hype of bitcoin too and remember this one looks better rather than any other bitcoin fork coins.

There is no bad on holding LTC it's also one of the best Virtual currency you can hold. just keep holding it and you will surely gonna make a profit. and on the other hand, don't forget ltc and doge are used widely nowadays because they are much faster and takes much lower fees then bitcoin does.

You should know upon entering crypto that every altcoin is volatile and that's the big risk of it. If you're an optimistic holder, then you should keep in mind that there's an increase and decrease of the prices which we cannot control so we must always take advantage of the market. Litecoin has a big potential so I think doubting about it won't help.

Litecoin, for all I know, aspired to be the "fast cryptocurrency that big corporations like Amazon were going to start using".
this is the first time i am hearing the bold part
litecoin was created to be faster than bitcoin and have a higher supply but it never was any talk of big corporations using it and why would they when there is bitcoin?

Quote
As of today... I feel like Litecoin is essentially dying  >:(
that is how all the copy coins end up to be like and litecoin is the only best copy coin since it was the first and it has its own blockchain from scratch but even with that LTC still has little usages.

Quote
I hold quite a good amount of LTC and really don't know what to do with it...
Thoughts?
you shouldn't have bag held any altcoins in first place because none of them have any long term potential.

The price of litecoin is also doubled from beginning of this year but it remains silent due to the increase on other coins as well.If you are holding litecoins then better just hold it now rather than confusing your mind you are on the right track now to make huge profits.

I heard that the Litecoin died, just like the sound of bitcoin dying, but the market tells us that Litecoin and Bitcoin are very strong. At present, Litecoin has risen several times from the lowest point to the present, and the momentum is very good. To be halved. look forward to.

what I know now is that Litecoin has many advantages over Bitcoin and many other currencies, making it in a strong position, the current LTC is the only cryptocurrency designed and available technically as a currency. This means that it can be used as a normal fiat currency.

that's imposible! just because the price was dropping, it's not mean the coin is dead. all I can said is that only losing demand in the market, Now Bitcoin showing to us that bullish will coming very soon hopefully it will causing altcoin price like LTC increased as well.

We cannot even assume a coin is dead even if its not in the top 50 in Coinmarketcap in terms of market capitalization, yet how much more if its currently in the over all top 5 and in this case its Litecoin occupying that spot? Its even harder to think that it will be dead anytime soon when it enjoys a solid mass following and a significant number of merchant adoptions. :)

You bought LTC because you believe on its technology, and if  you still believe on that you have to wait for the recovery period because LTC is not dead yet. You just feel it because there's no major pump on LTC, don't worry because the bull market is soon to start and LTC is still a top 5 coins in the market. $300 might be hard for LTC to hit again but I know there's a right for that, as long as LTC on the top 10 coins I'm confident that there's still a chance to pump.

Well, but the topic here is about litecoin, yes, the market value of some crypto does somehow fades, but not those that are already well built in the market. We all know that LTC has allot of supporters and that is why we are wondering what could be the possible reason why these things happen. Maybe soon, the root will be exposed.

I strongly disagree that Litecoin is dead. Major financial institutions are allowing Litecoin trading, and its market is very liquid. Litecoin is complementary to bitcoin and will probably be around in 2025. Soon Litecoin will be adding privacy features that will give it more use cases.

I don't know why you think like that but I think litecoin is fine and not going to die any time soon. Even the article you posted says that LTC seeks ways to improve its protocol by implementing MimbleWimble.

LTC has some solid userbase/holders. If something bad happens to btc, my second choice would be ltc.

I don't know why you are thinking that way, it's not dying far from it, in fact, it is one of the biggest gainers this week, it is still in the top 5 of the market and this is the only coin that has gone far, marketing in UFC, there's still more to come on Litecoin that you should look positively.

Litecoin is on the 5th place in the coinmarketcap rating, has a capitalization of about 4.7 billion, daily trading volume of about 3 billion dollars and for the last month LTC rose from $30 to $77, so I see no reason to call Litecoin a dead coin.

Litecoin is not dead many people still support litecoin, as you can see the price of litecoin is increasing, from the bottomed at $23 and now $77 and I'm sure it will hit again at $95, just keep hold your LTC I'm sure you will gain profit.

Litecoin died long ago when the creator sold all LTC and proved it was a shitcoin, so he does not want to hold them anymore. A group of people tried to create a fake market for LTC but failed, so now many users finding the truth. You are late in the game my friend, but don't worry, you still have time to cut the lose.

You don't have to worry, they are still in the safe position and I am pretty sure that the team behind Litecoin will do everything to make sure that they will stay strong.

You will surely see the value of Litecoin once the market will recover again. Be familiar with the market so you will not worry so much about your investment. One thing also, make sure that you trust what you have decided to invest so you can avoid this kind of problem in the future.

Litecoin development team has not really worked this year because they have very few updates related to this project. I think if the market enters a price increase phase, they will definitely come back to improve their technology and will find ways to make Litecoin possible to raise prices higher. Now is still a big question but looking at what is happening, Litecoin will surely reach $150 soon this year.

Litecoin (LTC) is still very good to hold. they continued to grow even though they were a little slow. even some people say that Litecoin will improve when halving happens. fluctuations do occur often but that cannot be used as an excuse to say that Litecoin will die soon

Litecoin was moving great after last year and it's still showing good progress, not sure if why you think it's dead not even we don't have any ideas what future might bring to this project but for me I also believe that it will continue to survive and be there as far as crypto still getting support from the community.

No, Litecoin will not die, the price is where is and i think the price will grow before litecoin halving, and most if holders can get a profit if they sell, we need to wait anyway and to hold.

Basically, am not seeing what OP sees that make him or her think that Litecoin is dieing, when it gets gains in the recent week. Being on the coinmarketcap without any dethrone of lower coins or tokens still give hope that, it will be great again like before, a little patience is what we all need to see them growing as our portfolio.

if something "bad" happens to bitcoin, the same thing will definitely happen to every coin that has copied bitcoin. so you can not chose litecoin even if you wanted to because automatically coins like LTC will follow bitcoin too. by extension a lot of other coins that may not be direct copies of bitcoin would also be damaged.

If you are investing by your feelings, dump it right now or at least on breakeven price. You should never based your decisions on feelings or some uncertain future assumptions. Looks at the charts, study the price action. Learn to trade, jeez.

why in say dead, very confusing

We cannot classify the existence of a major token by its partnership
But it’s value, and prices can fluctuate at any time or period

So litecoin is alive with good price volume and cap

Litecoin is not dead and there is no reason to think that litecoin is dying.  Early this year it performances was below average but we can see that it has grown from $30 to $100 this year and though it has reverse back a little that do not mean it is not going to grow this year again.

How can litecoin dead, while soon there will be halving on litecoin. I think your argument is very no reason. current litecoin prices are still good and up and down prices are common. If litecoin is dead, the price will go down to 0 but as we see, it doesn't happen.

I can't believe that Litecoin is dying because the drastically drop in price don't affect only Litecoin but all the altcoin and this is base on the drop in price of bitcoin.

all I know is Litecoin isn't dying. ltc is pretty good now. Last month the LTC rose very high and now the price is stable. isn't that good, then why is it said to die. I think you are too pessimistic just to buy the above, then the price does not match your expectations. It's better to wait and see what will happen later, because Litecoin still has the chance to rise.

You don't need to be afraid or worried because Litecoin won't die. there are coins that are worse than litecoin and they still survive. Currently Litecoin is quite good, I believe if later the market starts to move up, Litecoin will become one of the coins that will rise.

I personally have a lot of litecoin, I still believe and will keep holding it whatever happens later.

If you are really following the price of litecoin since the beginning of the year, you will notice that the rise of litecoin has been incredible so far this year. Therefore the sudden decline in the price boils down to the fact that crypto is volatile.

You are not late because you can sell it now and buy other coins that are hype in the market, for example BNB, even though you lose money because the value of the LTC has fallen but investing in other coins can be the best way to return your money and even make a profit but if you still confident in the potential of LTC, wait and prove that what you read is the truth

Litecoin over the days gave a sudden growth and now it has slowed down though there is continued growth with bitcoin. Possibly there will be small scale growth in between and the halving of Litecoin is scheduled to take place within few months time and that'll surely give good price pumping. With this some form of patience will get us profit.

based on my monitoring in the coinmarketcap.com, Litecoin movement in the last 1 month fell 17% but in the last 3 months the Litecoin movement grew around 129%, this data has shown that Litecoin is not dead, the price growth is slow.  Investor interest in Litecoin is still very high, so don't worry about Litecoin's future  ;)

I think litecoin is overcame with so many options of altcoins in crypto space nowadays. Years ago it had its charm yet, but now the scenario is different. Some defenders of litecoins say it can rise yet (as I saw here (https://todaysgazette.com/3-reasons-litecoin-ltc-rebound-in-2019-is-not-dead/)), because:

1) its liquidity, as the currency is probably oversold, boosting the interest of the market;
2) interest from authorities in litecoin, for liquidity, transaction speed and decentralized approach.

The liquidity part is acceptable, but I think authorities are much more interested in creating their own centralized currency than adopting an already decentralized one.

the goal is good and it is indeed a big project but unfortunately there are too many rivals for litcoin and the next problem is because litecoin cannot compete, in the past when coins like ethereum increased, I did not see litecoin trying to win the market and now, BNB shines and other coins are only shadows including litecoin

Can't compete but that doesn't mean it can't survive right? I realized that altcoin is no longer the second choice in crypto, it is no longer the main choice in altcoin. but the price development of Litecoin sometimes benefits to you, and Litecoin is far from dead..

I don't know what do you mean by rivals or competitors of Litecoin though.

Remember that litecoin network is similar to bitcoin, so if there is a competition it should be bitcoin and not the rest of the altcoins.  ;D

What do you expect from BNB? They have the full backing of the top crypto exchange now so it's obvious that it will grow overtime.

Litecoin remains stable at this time and this coin is always very suitable for investment. I think Litecoin will have a lot more value in the future and you don't need to worry too much because the price of Litecoin to be achieved this year is $200. The development team will soon return to work in the near future and if they have technology updates then investors will keep this coin more and very suitable for long-term profit.

It is too soon to call Litecoin is dead. It is more appropriate to call the coin like this as kind of FUDs when Litecoin fall to below 0.01 BTC. Moreover, Litecoin is silver, and it won't be a dead coin. So, any kinds of news, threads call Litecoin is a dead coin are just FUDs. At the moment, it is just a start of Litecoin corrections, and the coin might gradually fall and has to go through a very long journey to below 0.01 BTC. For now, I predict Litecoin might fall to around 0.0108 BTC first, then we will see if flash crashes occur the coin will fastly fall to below 0.01 BTC or not.

You really don't know what's happening in the market and Litecoin as well, Litecoin still has volume still has large community support, people are still buying and holding their litecoin, so you are creating FUDS so they can sell you their coins at a much lower price and make yourself a profit onwards.

I don't think litecoin is going to die, just the opposite.

It's a coin that has been around for a long time and from my point of view, the litecoin team is doing it very well working on adoption and getting litecoin in the mainstream.

I would recommend you keep those litecoins (a few years if possible) and without doubt, you will make a good profit of it  ;)

I have read an article regarding the Litecoin price concern ( I forgot which article it was ).  Fungibility and privacy were sighted as the main reason why Litecoin isnt performing very well, and we can see the price as a reflection to this issue.
I do have Litecoin in my portfolio too and Im still hopeful as the team maybe working on these areas to improve Litecoin's performance in terms of confidential transactions on its blockchain network.

Litecoin is currently struggling as its team have not been doing much to get other cryptocurrency projects to use its blockchain. If other coins are built on it, it will certainly create more demand for it.

only coins that have a poor and troubled team that will die. if I speak litecoin, I think it's hard to die because litecoin has many interests and coins that have been around for a long time. all coins feel the same way and now is the time of difficulty going up, but I'm sure only a strong coin will solve it and experience a rise at some point.

Litecoin has always had too many rivals,,, so this is not a new problem for them. However, be reminded that unlike all the rivals almost, Litecoin has stood alone next to Bitcoin in terms of adoption and payment merchants. Forget about the stupid comparisons of price versus Ether or some other platform coin like BNB. LTC is a slow growth but steady appreciation coin with intense development work and a solid community. BNB coins come and go, LTC are here to stay.

Don't make a conclusion quickly, I know litecoin and still has potential to make the price up, the current situation just a trying for some investor to make its price goes up. As you can see wit bitcoin price, now the price movement will try to head off $6000 for resistance and it failed because the information of binance but later the price bitcoin will try to reach it again. And this is same with litecoin price, some users has tried to make the price up in the beginning of this year but they failed to reach the price they wanted so as make the price fall and I believe soon the price will goes up slowly. I wrote based on my technical analyst I don't know with the fundamental factors, maybe it will be different.

No litecoin is not dead. There are so many experts and traders that are still investing in it. The value of it is just that because it increases on a total of 3X so that's why increasing and decreasing is very normal on it. We all should just wait for the right timing again. Litecoin will always be there.

I understand that there are a lot of rumors around the project from the very beginning of its appearance, but LTC has a good team and a bright leader who promotes the project.

If you are investing by your feelings, dump it right now or at least on breakeven price. You should never based your decisions on feelings or some uncertain future assumptions. Looks at the charts, study the price action. Learn to trade, jeez.
If you think Litecoin is dead and you do not see any kind of potential here, it might probably never work for you because you will not invest in the first place. This is a good coin I think and believe it will have its days soon. The market value of Litecoin id $74 right now which is not bad because ETH was about $70 couple of months ago and the bear market gave it some thrust to $174 right now so yeah, Litecoin has gotten its future.

Litecoin is not moving forward for now except in it's price and this is because we would see begin to see a bull run in the price of bitcoin which will affect all other coins in the market, especially those coins that have large market volumes and have a real life value in the crypto sphere, apart from this I don't think there is a major problem litecoin is solving since it's just a fork of bitcoin and bitcoin node already has all of it's feature including lightning network, which was the major feature of litecoin that they could brag about in the past, they have to come up with something new to become relevant.

The prolonged bad situation of the market has been a major setback for all coins in the market, and traders are currently very careful not to play too, as they are always at alert to any news. Litecoin will be fine, it's going still feeling the market heat. Traders will trust bitcoin more than any other coin in the market, so major funds are always flowing to bitcoin.

Such has been the case for a decade since its acceleration to the enviable position of the first cryptocurrency by market capitalization. Now, Litecoin (LTC), an alternative crypto coin (altcoin), draws inspiration from Bitcoin (BTC). Although it doesn’t rank as the first cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Litecoin (LTC) has a large amount of utility, which is an important factor that helps the value of every cryptocurrency. There are reports that the coin is currently oversold. If true, this can trigger panic buying, this, in turn, facilitates an increment in its value. As financial experts posit, when an asset goes into an oversold zone, the value of such an asset tends to rise after some time.

LTC has some solid userbase/holders. If something bad happens to btc, my second choice would be ltc.

The question is, what bad thing should happen to Bitcoin what does not concern Litecoin as well? After all, Litecoin is largely based on Bitcoin's code base. If Bitcoin goes down, Litecoin will most likely do, too.

That’s how it is, when you decide to sell it and at the moment you sell off, that’s when the price starts to go up and you start to regret why you ever decide to sell your coins. But what exactly is making you feel like Litecoin is dying? Can you state some reasons why you think such? And I’d like to let you know that Amazon is not ready to accept anything cryptocurrency, they are not going to do it. Even if they decide to accept cryptocurrency in the future, trust me, it’s not going to be Litecoin, it’s going to be Bitcoin for sure.

We should not even be picking on these coins separate, because right now, almost all the coins were badly damaged the same way bitcoin was damaged after the last bull run of both altcoins and bitcoin, and it will take time for them to all recover depending on their capacity.

They all do not have equal fingers, the fact that Bitcoin and Ethereum is over shadowing them in quickly response to repair after the damage, does not mean that other projects like litecoin is not doing fine, as time goes on, they will also recover too. Actually this type of news are not bad for them to see that people expect more from them than they are performing, so they still need to be more up and doing.

They are not dyeing, but you cannot expect them to be as popular as they use to be when every project want to enter the market and create their own cryptocurrency too, they only survive on projects depending on them, but now that most projects are also trying to do similar thing, they will not get the attention they use to get before.

Using me as an example and many of us in this forum, when last did we really use the service of litecoin, there has been so many alternatives to them that people can easily have access to too. Amazon would have been a big fish for them; same amazon will prefer to create its own coin for their internal operation.

Are you blind to see on how low Litecoin went early for this year? it just came from $30 and now it's worth $73 and reached $80+. How would think that Litecoin is dying if its keep on increasing? I think that you're misleading yourself for thinking that Litecoin is dying. To tell you, no, Litecoin isn't dying and instead it is already recovering from the bloody months that it has been through. And instead of thinking of its dying, you should get more of it because it will take its halving in August time.

Sure, so Litecoin has to be corrected more than other altcoins, especially if we look at Litecoin price chart, it rose from around 0.008 BTC to very high price, before staying around 0.013 BTC for last few days. Litecoin, obviously has not been a dead coin, and will never be a dead one, but the coin has to fall much deeper as corrections after its rocket journey started at 0.008 BTC. Personally, I will wait Litecoin around 0.009 to 0.01 BTC to buy it back for my portfolio. Maybe it will take some more weeks or 2 or 3 months of waiting, but I will determinantly wait for it.

I think Litecoin hasn't died because Litecoin is still processing on the market. Litecoin is only in a critical state of price competition with other altcoins. This price competition that makes Litecoin lose its trust because it cannot compete for other altcoins. Technologically too, many litecoin competing coins have better technology so litecoin must be truly competent to compete with other potential altcoins. I am of the opinion that Litecoin still has the capacity to compete and become more alive again. If we love litecoin then we can actively trade litecoin so that we can immediately achieve a balance between litecoin offers and requests.

Litecoin will not die, I am very confident because seeing the price movement is quite good it can even be an altcoin investment choice, like ETH and BNB.
Today the Litecoin price has reached USD 73 and the future prospects are getting brighter with the increase in BTC as a crypto driver that can be ascertained that the altcoin price is moving up. I think Litecoin is worthy of being a future investment.

Litecoin is still kicking.  It partners with with hotel booking platform travala recently.  It offers discounts to those who wants to travel around the world using travala service and pay with LTC.  Here is the list of benefits the partnership is offering :

Quote
These benefits include:

at least 15% cheaper than "traditional" online travel agencies such as Expedia.com, Booking.com, and TripAdvisor.com;
support for cryptocurrency payments (as well as fiat currencies);
"blockchain-verified" reviews; and
a" token-powered incentivization economy"; the AVA token "enables users to benefit from the largest possible discounts when booking their next trip, is given to contributors who help grow the platform through authentic reviews and other content, rewards those who make successful referrals and is paid as fuel cost by other platforms when they leverage Travala infrastructure to improve their own offerings."

Litecoin, for all I know, aspired to be the "fast cryptocurrency that big corporations like Amazon were going to start using". As of today... I feel like Litecoin is essentially dying  >:( I hold quite a good amount of LTC and really don't know what to do with it...

Thoughts?

Edit; I found this nice article that summarizes what LTC has been up to but idk how I feel about this...: https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/whats-happening-with-litecoin/ (https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/whats-happening-with-litecoin/)

Litecoin can continue its fall but it will not last for more than a couple of months. Finally, it will gain a lot as soon as it is one of the most reliable cryptocurrencies, and it is also very safe.

I don't think that the LTC is dead, because the coin is developing and it is still promising in the market, so far the LTC shows very good dynamics and has already grown by x2

Now on the market, in addition to LTC, there are still a lot of young projects that are already sent to the stock exchange and are ready to develop, here's the example of the project http://gexan.io/ that shows that the token initially has a good price

indeed Litecoin is not dead but the development of Litecoin is very slow even for very long there has been no good news from Litecoin and this is very dangerous because to keep attracting requests so that the price of coins remains expensive there should be good news at certain times.

I think this cryptocurrency will live a long time because the creator of Litecoin is Satoshi Nakamoto. This fact is said in one of the versions about the design of this currency. That's why the Litecoin never will die. I believe that in few next months we will see an increase in price on this coin.

If you don't know what to do with it, then sell it and save yourself from the frustrations, litecoin is not dying wonder where you get this idea or you are looking at the wrong chart or you expect too much to soon.

Checking on the data and I just saw this now

$77.54 USD (4.95%)

Litecoin is doing well and its miner reward halving date is coming close in August of this year. This is the first halving for litecoin but bitcoin has gone through two of those already and there was a huge rise after both of those halvings. Hopefully, litecoin will start its big rise after the halving too.

No one is saying that to a coin like doge, which should be among the first on the list, but because the growth rate is not significant, should not mean it is dead. Litecoin is still one of the best.

A time will really come that these already established projects which I can call old projects are the ones that will remain in the market, because these new ones will eventually fade away as they don’t have much new ideas other than to build on the existing ones, wherein they are also not performing much better than the existing ones who has the original idea.

Whatever the newer projects promised to add as added features to old projects will also be used by the older ones to make their project more quality, and eventually, based on the respect people has had for older project, there will be massive pull back from new ones to older projects like litecoin., later, ethereum will definitely gain back their relevance as they keep reforming their system.

There is a misconception about crypto that a lot of persons have, for the fact the coin loses value does not make it a bad crypto or remove its useful, it is simply reacting the the market situations of demand and supply, litecoin in my opinion has been a very good coin and is among the best payment processor and should be third behind bitcoin and etherium.

Litecoin has been one of the best cryptos, it is the most successful and beneficial fork of bitcoin compared to the rest. In terms of value it may not be as high as Bitcoin cash but it is likely to succeed it in marketcap. So far I prefer litecoin as a payment process compared to so many other cryptos including bitcoin.

In my opinion, litecoin does not die. Litecoin is still active on the market. Maybe when you see litecoin movements at that time Litecoin is quiet in terms of trading. Litecoin is one of the potential coins so that its existence on the market can still survive. As a litecoin lover then you must contribute to making the Litecoin market busy. You should remain active in the market so that you can contribute to better litecoin price movements.

Litecoin is not dead, it is just to prepare for the next increase in the price, so you don't have to worry. If you already bought litecoin at the high price, maybe this time you can buy more litecoin because the price was already down in less than $90 and you will have a chance to sell litecoin at more than $90 in the next days.

The current price of Litecoin is equal to 87 US dollars which is a very good price for investors to put their money on Litecoin as much as they have the ability. The diversification of investment in the Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum are the first choices of mine and I know of it how to make profit with it. Funny thing is that this is the same way people were saying that it is over for Bitcoin, because they thought Bitcoin was dying in the year 2017, but that was the same year that we had the same biggest bull run ever in cryptocurrency. So what if Litecoin is about doing something like that. Cause I’m very sure of one thing that Litecoin (LTC) is not going to die, that’s one of the strongest coins in the crypto world and it had been around for a very long time now, so how do you expect such a thing to happen. You should just have patience and try to do proper research, some sites can be deceiving.

LTFN / Litecoin Finance soon be updated to 0.18 ver of btc

we dont hv Litecoin problem

about litecoin i know now why they stop working.
How we know bitcoin is release 0.18 ver wallet , but this wallet hv a one litle change.

utilstrencodings.cpp
utilstrencodings.h

rename to
strencodings.cpp
strencodings.h
and moved to src/util/

they separate utils to own folder.

But the nessesary change this

they remove this code

#define BEGIN(a)            ((char*)&(a))
#define END(a)              ((char*)&((&(a))[1]))
#define UBEGIN(a)           ((unsigned char*)&(a))
#define UEND(a)             ((unsigned char*)&((&(a))[1]))
#define ARRAYLEN(array)     (sizeof(array)/sizeof((array)[0]))

from strencodings.h

and now see what scrypt use for init)

uint256 CBlockHeader::GetHash() const
{
    return SerializeHash(*this);
}

uint256 CBlockHeader::GetPoWHash() const
{
    uint256 thash;
    scrypt_1024_1_1_256(BEGIN(nVersion), BEGIN(thash));
    return thash;
}

Its so simple solution , omg , why ltc team stuck at it , if not stuck why they stop update after this , where answer ?

That's why Litecoin Finance is the best option for all. Have any questions ask.

Litecoin, dead? Are you joking? Litecoin is very much alive and kicking. And it has just pumped really hard. There will be some retracement and corrections that follow of course. That is something inevitable, and you will add to it the fact that Bitcoin is again very bullish thereby affecting the altcoins move upward. But dead? Never. Litecoin is top 5, my friend.

Even though the price of litecoin has fall againts bitcoin in last several days, but compared to the initial price of 2019, the price of litecoin has risen by more than 300%. I think Litecoin is a good investment besides ethereum and bitcoin because Litecoin still has potential to rise in the price again after halving

Litecoin still stay at this position that above 115 and that looks good to see that even bitcoin is increasing more and more but litecoin still can stay at the same place without loosing a lot of value in the bitcoin term or pair. the card update has already released and that was a huge update.

I do not think this phase of market is for altcoins. It is better to exchange litecoin to bitcoin (https://coinswitch.co/coins/litecoin/litecoin-to-bitcoin) or just to hold some stable currency like USDT.

I mentioned stable coins as you can see BTC is also have a pull back.

It seems that this is contrary to your thinking since LTC is currently only $55 and you will have the opportunity to invest again if you still like this coin. I think this coin can still increase well by the end of this year and the market will soon return to the most stable period so please consider investing.

I agree that the Litecoin has a good community, but in recent months the dynamics of the price movement on the market with this coin is not at all happy. ;(

I am also feeling it.... LTC was really promising and I also hold a few... but lately it feels that it is slowly dying out...
Price doesn't react and there are no particular news that make me smile...
Have been thinking about it, but can't get to a conclusion about the causes for this...
will hold at least until alt season...

I used to use Litecoin as payment in few portals, given it limited usability/functions other than payment mode, which still quite low in terms of adoption, it will be struggle to stands out in the future. But it still one of the more reputable crypto. I see it has a future with really strong loyal users and good devs. At least their dev looks decent and less scammy compared to 99% out there.
Litecoin is still the best 'testnet' and pushing out milestones alternative to Bitcoin.

That's what others think when I've asked them about Litecoin recently. I like this coin and for real, I'm still eyeing for it to be with other good coins in the future once the bull run appears to be back. But most of those people that I've asked told that Litecoin seems to be dead although it's not obvious because it's still tradeable everywhere and it has a nice volume but the development isn't that active at all, this is base on them. I use Litecoin for payments and it's very quick so IMO, it's going to be hard for it to be dead.

It's as with so many coins - it's a long way to actual success (or fail, for that matter). There surely will be more than one successful coin that prevails, but it's hard to tell which one.

Many people have bought into LTC, NEO and others while it was hyping, and they lost a lot of money. Back in late 2017, many prices were 99% based on speculation. If we're down to 90% speculative pricing, and not much progress has been made (in terms of actual adoption), this could mean a -90% performance since late 2017. I guess this is what many coins have been seeing.

Generally, we need a lot more adoption of crypto in the mass market for the prices to have a fundamental reason to go up.

It is a great integration to add privacy to the coin but there is a negative aspect to it because the regulated exchanges will not allow privacy coins to be traded in them because the government does not like to have privacy and it might impact the price of the coin but if you take into account privacy then it is a great implementation.

If litecoin is dead then we can see the 0 value of litecoin now, but no, Litecoin is still alive. It's just the down price not dead, just keep hold your litecoin, but if you don't have patience to hold litecoin then you can convert any altcoins that you believe that has potential.

Not that I am saying they are dead, but I am still not seeing any development in it because the same way they have been after the bear market is the same way that they are still till date. At least, it is not only Litecoin that is being affected by the bear market amongst the top altcoins, but the other altcoins have tried to do everything possible to actually work on their own project and we have at least seen some evidence of that.

I understand from you though that they are working on something, but let us hope that this new work of their would not just bring unnecessary expectation like we all expected the market cap of Litecoin to recover fully in their last halving with so much anticipation from people, but the halving had no effect till this very moment.

LTC is good, especially right now the price is great to fill your pockets with this coin. I believe that LTC, ETH and BCH would be the first three coins that would boom after the new beginning of a bulltrend, that is hopefully coming in the nearest future.

when the market enters an uptrend not only the 3 coins you mention will increase. even all altcoin can and have the same possibility to increase. but that depends on how the developer responds to incoming bulls. if the developer can maintain and increase the community and that request will be good. but if they are no longer trusted by the community or their community is weak it will be bad even though the bull pump is running.
LTC might be good, but seeing things that don't go according to plan, I think some of the community of supporters also has less trust in developers.

There's no way litecoin is dead. Perhaps investors have lost hope in litecoin by looking at the current state. However, I believe this is the right time to get some litecoin tokens in addition to ethereum and bitcoin because they have the potential to boom when the market recovers and prices increases.

Actually not only the light coin all the cryptocurrencies are at the lower value in the market after the price dump started at the end of 2017 to now and hope it will increase more very soon.
When there is growth at that time we will find the same bump in litecoin also so go and invest on LTC to make money with it.

Using dead word looking not good and ethic, you have many word to describe with litecoin have lower price not must said with litecoin dead, so far litecoin only have lower price and back again to higher without have to claim with litecoin become dead altcoin, almost altcoin have lower price not only with litecoin but also many altcoin have been down like ethereum, bitcoincash.

Litecoin was much expected to give a big growth unlike the market trend depending on the halving that was scheduled months back. There is no big growth, the market moved downwards along with bitcoin and rest of the leading altcoins. Litecoin is one of the best altcoin for bigger profiting, and now this has reached a price above $60 which to is a good buying price for good profiting.

I think we should not panic, now is the time when the market is stable, it needs more time to recover. Litecoin too, it needs time to stabilize and increase in price. I think you should not worry, Litecoin is still ranked 6th on coinmarketcap. I believe that in the next few months Litecoin will recover in price and surpass $ 100. If you invest long-term and Litecoin, I believe that in the near future you will have a lot of money.

Guess that's not happening anytime soon, right?

Litecoin isn't on my favorite coin list, but it's relatively old (in crypto years) and established, and it is one of only a few coins that's going to make it in the next 10 years.  It's too bad that there aren't more businesses that accept it for payment, nor more people who invest in it.  It just isn't as popular as other cryptos, but it's very far from dead.  If you want to know what dead coins are, look at the ones on exchanges that sell for at or close to 1 satoshi, the ones that don't have any buy orders.  If you look at litecoin in that light, it's alive and vibrant.

Litecoin won't die in my opinion and it makes for a good currency.  Its popularity waxes and wanes, but overall it's one of the best coins out there.  It might not be the silver to bitcoin's gold, but it's still a damn good coin.

The Litecoin is not dead but the entire altcoins market is under heavy market correction that is all. It is about time the altcoins market will start the recovery since there are some momentum in the market. the bitcoin price is halving right now maybe when the bitcoin halving is over the altcoin season will follow.

I think Litecoin is still one good investment for the long term. With a large marketcap value and also has a large daily transaction volume, investors can liquidate their assets quickly and this is one of the factors why Litecoin is a safe crypto as a long-term investment.

I have a small amount of Litecoin yet, (well small compared to back in the day). Anyway, the ONLY reason I still have it

is for Mimblewimble. Then again I got Litecoin in bits that average out in price for the lot of about $85 a Litecoin.

Thus hoping for the turn around due to Mimblewimble. But as usual, that is the ONLY thing the LTC Devs seem to be promoting.

I wish they could push for more than one thing on coin updates to differentiate them from Bitcoin like Mimblewimble, but probably that is 1 hope too far.

Anyway, at the price I bought in at, kinda stuck. So again, hoping Mimblewimble pulls my ass out of the fire for an eventual over $100 an Litecoin price.

(knock wood)

Brad

One of those coin that will continue surviving whatever the market conditions are showing around. LTC spark earlier this year as halving approached
it will continue to see some good movements after the bitcoin halving take place.

If you are going to hold for long term investment this one would be appropriate to hold while waiting for the bull market.

In my opinion, Litecoin is now more alive than all living things. In any case, it shows the best growth rates in recent days compared to its alternative counterparts.
Moreover, in my opinion, the project has a great future, because in fact altcoin is a coin that follows the path along which Bitcoin will go and develop in the future.

LTC is not dead and would definitely show its potential once BTC dominance would fall a bit. Unfortunately, LTC halving did not bring much outcome, but mining is not profitable anymore, thats why the price would raise during the next couple of years.

Investor's enthusiasm to purchase some of these cryptocurrency is really no longer there and what we need is something that can revive it so that all these coins can come back to life again, and if we are to be extremely sincere, everyone will agree with me that what is happening to altcoins now is as a result of using most of those coins for speculative purpose alone, because if it was for the acceptance e of the project by the product, there is no way that the users can lose interest in using it because they have lost of financial commitment on a daily basis, but they are not using it more= than just holding it as a digital asset for the purpose of having profit alone and not to use it as a financial payment tool which is why cryptocurrency was even created.

I don't think so. Depend on the thinking of each person and in my opinion hold good coin still brings huge profits for investors. Litecoin is currently in downtrend so it is difficult to predict in the near future. However, Litecoin is still a very promising investment because the coin is being widely used in many major countries and many investors are holding a lot of long term this year.

I personally don't care about the downtrend but the potential of LTC is really huge and it is worth waiting for us once more.

I believe that in the future Litecoin will pump again. because litecoin is a good coin and has great potential. many investors use litecoin in transacting between crypto because the transfer fee is lower. so with this potential I think litecoin will not die. at the moment we are in the bear market almost all altcoins are also declining. but I am sure when the bull market the litecoin will pump again. I will hold on and wait for the bull market.

Litecoin is a project with a good foundation and believes Litecoin will not die in the future, you hold a lot of LTC if you feel that you lose faith you should sell. Litecoin has a good team obviously there is no reason to think that Litecoin will die, be confident and this is a good time to keep LTC when old age is low.

Well if Mimblewimble is 'dorked' like the below article says, IMHO, Litecoin is royally screwed in that they seem to have all their eggs for development

into just this. (As usual, they do one major thing at a time rather then have more than one project goal...)

Litecoin is one of the oldest coins in the crypto world. It's not dead, they are experiencing a downtrend after the halving, which is announced in some way that miners will have a problem to adapt for some time. I'm not buying Litecoin at the moment, I have some from the old days, but I will not sell before some new all times high price.

I don't see anything special in this coin because the Litecoin development team has been shut down for almost 2 years now and until now I don't know what will happen next to this coin. I don't prevent you from investing but should have a clear investment strategy and don't greedy when is profitable. In my opinion, this coin is only worth $10 and unreliable during this period.

Litecoin does not dead, if you look at the current market conditions, it feels like all the altcoins die due to the decline in Bitcoin prices. All will return the price when halving Bitcoin later. LTC There is also a time to rise again.

I checked the charts and it looks like the exchange rate for Litecoin has remained stable for the last 3 months (0.0065 - 0.0069 BTC per coin). It looks like the investors no longer care about the security vulnerabilities and bugs. A lot of the users are accumulating the coins, expecting a big jump once the Bitcoin block reward halving occurs. And if something goes wrong at that point of time, then we can expect the prices to go down to the levels that we had 12 months back (when BTC was trading for $3,000 per coin).

Litecoin is still much alive and it's not dead at all. We all known that most coins are passing through difficult times and Litecoin is not an exception to this. Personally, I see a great potential in Litecoin and all I keep doing is buying more of it in anticipation of Litecoin green days

I think the current market is trying to force investors to sell at low prices and I urge you not to do this because of course Litecoin will soon recover in 2020. Crypto market is harder to predict and is at a very bad stage so not good for long-term profit and consider carefully when making decisions. I have great faith in Litecoin now and will dedicate 20% of my assets to buy at $46.

If that is what the whales want to accomplish you can be sure that they will get what they want, whales for the most part manipulate the market as they wish but they choose to limit their power because they do not want to scare people away but if that is their intention you can be sure that the price will crash, I really hope that is not the case but if it is then many of the people that are accumulating litecoin will suffer a great disappointment because they will not get the profits that they were expecting.

Litecoin stands at no 6 at coinmarketcap.com in terms of market cap, today's market cap of Litecoin is 3 billion USD. So one thing is clear that it's still up and far from dying. Whole market is under pressure and every coin is about to achieve its lowest of the year. Be optimistic and don't lose hope.
