Here in our country, you can use bitcoin to pay your bills, travel, buy some goods, and a lot more. It all depends on what country are you on, since there are countries that supports cryptocurrency and there are still some countries who are skeptical about it.

Japan has a lot of businesses and stores that accepts cryptocurrency. Since their cryptocurrency adaptation, they really had adapted crypto not just as an investment tool but uses crypto as how it was supposed to be. There are groceries, bars, restaurants, and even airlines accepting bitcoin in Japan.
But, for some countries, there are hardly no merchants or service provider to use bitcoin to. It will be convenient to use bitcoin as an alternative for cash, since all you have to do is use your QR code to pay for goods or services.

I don't know what country you reside but here in my country we can pay bills, buy load, send remittances and can directly pay some stuff using our bitcoin however it's run by a third party wallet.

I heard that Japan is one of the leading countries where adoption of Bitcoin is growing steadily. Though the revenues generated for merchants' Bitcoin operation may not be that spectacular, still it can be viable and given some time there is always room for growth. Here in my country, there are now schools and many service providers which accept Bitcoin. One of the many factors that hindered the use of Bitcoin in commerce is its volatile nature...though this can be a big advantage to traders.

It entirely depends on the country you live in. If you are from Japan or Germany, you can definitely buy a lot of things with bitcoin including some daily household items. However, in majority of the countries, you can't buy anything at all unless you convert your bitcoins to local fiat. So as you see, it depends on the legal status of bitcoin in your country.

If you like using Amazon, you can shop on Amazon while paying with BTC through 3rd party services like Purse[1]. Yea, you're not paying BTC straight to Amazon, but I don't think it matters that much. You pay with BTC, you receive your item. That's what matters anyway for the casual shopper.

Heard that they give some kind of discount upto 10% too which is great although it would be awesome if Amazon properly provided BTC as a mode of payment helping adoption rates go through the roof.

They could change their mind and implement it in the near future as BTC volatility continues going downwards and becomes a lot more stable in nature.

I live in Poland and there are not many possibilities to pay with BTC, paying with cryptos is not so popular. I hope that would change in future. I've heard only about some restaurants where you can pay with polish crypto - FuturoCoin and there are several places in Warsaw where you can pay for some services with Bitcoin.

Philippines and Canada here. Currently I'm residing in the Philippines and there are limited ways to use your bitcoins directly, though there's one exchange that lets you buy/pay for a lot of things through their service. Just last week, I went on and dine at a resto bar somewhere in the heart of Makati and they had this kind of promotion running solely for bitcoin. Food is good, drinks are great and cheap, too. As for general merchandise, I think there's nothing around yet for such trades to happen.

First thing first where do you live? cause that really matters if you live in the country that makes bitcoin illegal you can't buy anything from a nearby store, but if not just google "what store accept bitcoin *insert your town*?" And now you can buy stuff from the internet using bitcoin, pretty easy in my opinion.

Soon, very soon we can use it in many places. But now there isn't so much place we can use it. But my friend went on holiday last month to Phuket. And he paid for some places when eating a meal and drinking coffee. He was so happy because he used his BTC first time for payment. I think it is just matter of time.

Bitcoin is aimed to be a currency and one of the normal uses of currencies is to be used as a medium of payment for the goods and services. Bitcoin does not need to be used to purchase any specific item but to be used in our daily lives.

not many place or store that accept cryptocurrency as a payment it depends on where you live. i heard if you live in japan, us or canada there a lot place that accept cryptocurrency as a valid payment, CMIW. but many countries reject cryptocurrency as legitimate payments. as a solution in some countries require to exchange cryptocurrencies into fiat ,so that it can be used for shopping.

only a couple of countries have actually rejected bitcoin and some of them gone as far as banning its usage and ownage. but the rest of the world have no problem with bitcoin so far although only a couple of them have gone as far as accepting it as a "legal way of payment" but the rest that didn't make it "official" have different laws that in other ways make it legitimate payment.

For people who lived in the country which allowing bitcoin to be a new payment system, I am sure they can buy many things with bitcoin. But it does not happen to people who lived in the country which bitcoin is not allowed. I think we still waiting for the accepting bitcoin in any country, and many merchants will accept bitcoin for the payment. Until that time, we could only convert bitcoin to fiat so we can use fiat to buy anything especially if we are travelling to another country.

But I guess that we can buy something available on the internet and we can pay the transaction using bitcoin. On the internet itself, I think we can choose the merchant who can accept bitcoin as the payment so we can directly pay something we bought with bitcoin and we don't have to convert to fiat or use PayPal to pay.

Depending on where you live you can't even buy bitcoin, so there is nothing to do with bitcoin in some places.
In most countries I believe there are at least few restaurants and clothing shops accepting the digital currency. Unfortunately, these businesses must be concentrated in big centers only, so if you are from a small city or village, far from the metropolis, it will be more difficult to find such stores.
Try googling businesses in your area accepting btc, if you don't find a physical store, there might be an virtual one.

It really depends on where you live, for people that are living in places like LA you can find many shops, restaurants and hotels where you can buy things for bitcoin, and in places like north eastern Europe and japan there are a lot and i mean a lot where people accept it, and since the last bull run back in 2017 more people have invested in it and i am sure that in more years to come and with bitcoin becoming more and more popular more places will start adopting it.

A lot of things can be bought through Bitcoin. In Japan, Canada, Korea, Switzerland, and many other countries people can buy and shop many things through Bitcoin. Yeah, you actually can buy a whole lot of stuffs with bitcoin! There are stores emerging online that now accepts bitcoin as a payment method. If I recall correctly, Microsoft also accept bitcoins on their store. Steam used to accept bitcoin once upon a time but unfortunately, they stopped due to many issues arising. Again, you can buy other things indirectly by using bitcoin, like purchasing amazon gift cards with bitcoin and then purchasing from amazon!

There are some few online marketing platfomrs that accept bitcoin as a mode of payment for goods purchased. I don't know the terms of such payments but other online marketing platforms like Ebay, Amazon etc. have announced their will to allow cryptocurrencies to be used for payments in the future.

It seems to me that if you do not get attached to the country for Bitcoin, you can buy everything.  Because you will still be paying on the Internet.  What is the difference from which corner of the world?  In extreme cases, you can simply transfer to any other Fiat coin.

I can also do that and buy pc parts and gaming stuff and pretty much anything. Just not food and stuff like that. There are some food items we can buy though but very far between.

Depending on the areas where we are, cause in out place we can used Bitcoin to buy load, electronic bill, water and electricity bill payments but not all areas are covered. I don't know if the other country have did it also.

Yep, obviously although bitcoin is gaining in popularity, still it's not recognized officially and widely in most places in the world. Compared to period time before, bitcoin transaction fo buying something or services is getting to increase, but it's quite limited and especially depends largely on each country. There isn't much I can buy in my local economy with bitcoin, very few stores want to accept it.  As much as I like crypto its still a lot easier for me to just use a debit card not have to wait for confirmations or anything like that.  Plus I know I'm protected if my card gets stolen.

Well, I don't really get that kind of question, I mean we can buy anything that accepts cryptocurrency as a payment option. You can buy and trade whatever you want just like as real life but anonymously.

The government of my country has not yet given an open arms for Bitcoin to strive so, becasue of this Bitcoin cannot be use for the purchase of any items in the country, except going through an exchanges to convert to fiat before use. Hope the government will yield to the advise of the young vibrant politicians that understand new technologies.     

Well depends on the acceptability of Bitcoin in your country and and community. Am sure there are where you can buy goods with the use of Bitcoin but that is not applicable here in my community though, it was in recent time that there is an increase in the adoption of Bitcoin and crypto currency in general.

I think you can buy anything with bitcoin but not using the bitcoin currency though. I only know few online stores who accepts bitcoin currency as a payment but almost all only accepts fiat money, so if you want to buy something you convert it to fiat and buy something. Maybe in the future if all will adopt to bitcoin then we can use it to purchase anything.

So far i just use localbitcoins for the change. So far i has no problem on using their service till now. Just make sure the payment are already in the bank before releasing it. Dont trust too easy..

Well, it depends on the country. Some countries have some many different stores that accepts bitcoin. But still, obviously people don’t prefer to purchase some goods with bitcoin. It’s better to hodl these days.

Bitcoin is still very early in this space and the main adoption start from me and you , which is why the bitcoin can get to the mainstream and be use as means of exchange between two party.

The pizza guy made bitcoin known by many by accepting it for pizza and if every one do the same then it will be use as means of exchange in no time , I can accept it for payment since I know the value even if is going to drop in price but many are still kind of scared and I think we all need to start accepting it as a means of payment .

Unfortunately Bitcoin is banned in my area.So,I had to convert bitcoin to fiat first then I can buy something.

Bitcoin is already legal on my country but i cant buy everything because not all stores on our country do accept bitcoin  . You cant also say that im going to shop online because even online , not all items are available for bitcoin purchase . Some uncommon and rare items can only be found offline and the shop might only accept fiat or common payment methods like credit cards  .

The price of bitcoin is not too high and its not really valueable at all . Its not bad to use some of your coins . Its only wise to hodl them if their value is pumping .

I am damn sure we might not even need to wait more then 2 years to purchase our desired commodity with bitcoins. Stores or shops that accepts bitcoin are still limited in our country so most of the holders convert their bitcoin into fiat before buying any product. actually, We are on the same page too, aside from billings, We have an exchange here that We can able to use remittances to send money,

There are lots, in our group, local group who know each other i.e friends and colleagues sell things and accepts Bitcoin payment. If we want the merchandise all we have to do is pm them and then there it goes, you can have it. There are also big companies that accepts Bitcoin as a payment here in our city. With the help of the local wallet, your Bitcoin is as good as cash. Only in the market it is not accepted as folks out there are old aged 50 to 60 and above that don't bother new tech like this overwhelm them.

I guess its better to prevent something bad from happening than waiting to happen to ourselves, people talking about legal or illegal is really make sense considering that they may have some kind of strict rules or punishment in their country for the use of unapproved currency.

It really depends your locations or country and the store or shop if they accept bitcoin as a mode of payment. We know the fact that there are only some stores exist who accept crypto currency as their payment. Maybe in the near future more stores and shops accept bitcoin for payment.
