I send usdt to the bitcoin wallet address , Is there any way to get back?

I send money from binance floor to poloniex.


Currently I have sent suport to both exchanges and have not received support.

Do you have any way to help me?

There's no way for someone to help you out. As you have said, you already contacted them and as for Binance they don't have problem with that transaction if its already transferred to your Polo wallet. Poloniex is the one that can fix that issue just wait for their response. I've read of the same problem before but I barely remember on what exchange was the involved one. But don't you worry as long as you receive Polo's reply, they'll fix it asap.
PS. I thought Binance's withdrawals are halt?

I sent the wrong address a few weeks ago .

A friend of mine had the same accident a few weeks back, he is still waiting for polo to answer him. Their support dont seem to be that responsive, so getting your USDT back may take some time now!

Wait for the response from the support. But keep in mind that you might never receive your USDT back. The only way you will get back the amount is if the transaction fails from binance's side.

Only Poloniex support team can help you to recover those USDT but I don't think they will return these kind of errs.

Then when you have messaged them? okay I thought that you made the transaction recently because Binance halt transactions lately so that makes sense. Moving on.

They will help you as long as you give them the needed details and explain to them properly on what really happened and your situation. For now, we can't do something about it but to be patient and wait for their response.

I don't realy know if a USDT private key is identical to a BTC private key... I think it will be difficult for you to recover your BTC. I had made a mistake a little like this, but with BCH at Bittrex. I sent BCH to a BTC address. They didn't do anything at that time. It was just after the release of BCH. They only say that they can do something if it was more than 5000 USD. And i suppose they take some fees for the extra work.

My friends told me that poloniex will not support these issues anymore. I believe that poloniex is a reputable and best quality customer care platform, they will support me  .

Bittrex is extremely poor in customer support they always take a lot of money from transaction fees and now I boycotted bittrex because of scam projects.
 
I wonder if anyone has encountered the same error as me in poloniex.
 

Reputation of Poloniex are not very great in the recent years and also they have warning at their deposit page of don't send wrong coins to this address or it will result into permanent loss so the chances for you is less.

Now binance has told me not to support this case, please contact the poloniex floor.

Once the transaction was initiated sender has no control over the funds,your USDT will be already in the hands of poloniex so they need to decide now to help you or not.

That's the saddest experienced for you if you have sent a large amount of money, which is not retrievable, maybe next time you should carefully review all the transactions before you send it to the recipient.

You have sent USDT to your BTC address.  Sending USDT to a BTC address means that the coins are not compatible, thus the transaction was not successful. 

Poloniex does not offer a token/coin recovery service because the process to recover tokens is extremely complicated and may result in significant cost, time, and risk. To avoid this situation in the future, please take extra caution when depositing funds to make sure the coins match the wallet you are depositing to.

I am very sad when I receive a letter from poloniex .

Mostly when i try to send a coin to a different chain like usdt to btc, exchange gives a warning and doesn't execute the transaction.

But at the end, you did the mistake and you need them.

True. It's a bit weird that an error didn't pop out when using incorrect address format.

Isn't the public address format of USDT and BTC different from each other?

as far as i know, we cant undo the sending process of our wallet activity, but if you done report to the customer service of the exchanger, maybe it can help you.

no, never will. it's a sad thing right? I've also experienced it and there is no guarantee for that. therefore, be careful when going to make transactions.

there is no way you can get your USDT back.. it's not there fault, it's your error.. both exchange cannot help you with that

Firstly before sending any kind of money you are ask right after you click the send button that ''are you sure sending funds to this address and blah blah blah..'' right? and theres this reminder also to only send BTC coin to this address and never BCH or any coin or token right? So what did you do? The transaction in crypto is irreversible man, I doubt you can stil recover it back aside from asking support.

I think the fund will be lost because it entered the usdt address with bitcoin incorrectly, even I don't think support can help you, because bitcoin shipping cannot be disturbed, once we have approved it will continue until the transaction is complete,
but it is different if if the admin exchanger has not been approved and is still in process, maybe your withdrawal can be canceled.

Some of my friends also had the same error with the amount greater than $ 50k transferred to the bitmap that party did not support.
 
I think if they are binance they will support but these are some other misuse mistakes of exchanges to get money.

You can contact the Poloniex party manager to notify you of the wrong transfer of your wallet. I think they will solve it for you. Be careful and pay attention to other transactions.

Since you sent it from an exchange to another exchange, then I believe that only the exchange could save you currently, but you need to check their policies about sending coins to a wrong address because some exchanges stated that they can do nothing about it if this kind of mistake occurs, once it is stated then I think you have no choice anymore than to let go of the coin, but if it is not stated, then you need to send a message to the support team of poloniex so that they can use the private key of the wallet to retrieve coin.

The good news are that if you made the transactions through an exchange, there are good chances to get your funds back.

What? I've been hearing this kind of problem before and most of them were fixed due to the participation and resolution by the involved exchange. I think your friends are just trolling you and discouraging you of not taking actions with that.

This is a sad thing, the first time to contact the exchange. See if it helps you, but according to my experience, there is a high probability. It will be lost, I have just started and I have experienced such an event. Finally lost, the address needs to be careful when trading.

I have had similar issue without resolve, in the end I had to forgo the money and I stopped wasting my time trying to recover it. Double check closely next time, this is cryptocurency, not your everyday average transaction.

But the support already answered him that it's no use and they can't help to recover the funds that were sent to the wrong address. I really feel sorry about OP's situation as this has happened before but those early transfers that sent to the wrong address were successfully recovered but to him it isn't.  :-\

Did you mean that you send it to the wrong wallet? Well, it is very risky. But please be patient to wait for the answer from the support. Commonly, someone who sent the coins into the wrong wallet will not get back their coins. But hopefully, this is your lucky time and you can get back.

There really seems to be no way out for your problem because if the transaction has been confirmed and has succeeded then only the sincerity that you can do right now, well if in the market of course we can respond to the market service you sent wrong but can they provide a solution if the address is not the market address, next time be more careful in making transactions.

Sorry to say pal, but there's no way to get it back again to your wallet. That's why in every transaction We are going to make
we need to double check or more before confirming it to click the send or submission transaction. And as what you did to sent message
to their support its not responding yet til now. It means accept the fact, and take it as a charge experience. 

Your coins are gone, I don't think there is a way to return them because you sent the wrong type of coin to the address
You cannot expect help from the two exchanges because the mistake is in you

Sorry to hear that you lost your USDT, it's depends on exchange their decisions, look like poloniex won't support the process of recover tokens, I'm confused that USDT and BTC address is same format, if not why it's still able to make the transaction? Anyway, actually poloniex their reputation is not good in past few years, it's not my favourite cryptocurrency exchange, just be careful next time and double check everything.

but the point is this mistake is not coming from the exchange, but from the users itself
i think all exchange will always remind their users, to send only the specified crypto to the wallet
for example if we want to deposit some bitcoin, when you click the address link, you will found this words right?

"Do not deposit any non BTC assets to the above address, otherwise assets can not be recovered."

so, always double check your activity in any exchange, such as deposit or withdrawal or anything buddy

If you send a few weeks ago, and not get response from Poloniex you should try to get again or raise a support ticket and after they should help you recover your funds. And always check what you send and to what address because maybe you can't recover.

The mistake in sending a coin to the wrong address is fatal. The possibility is very small to make the coins that we send can come back again. If you want our coins back then there must be awareness of the destination address that they received the wrong coin and they voluntarily sent back the coin. If you have taken good communication to the party you sent the wrong target then you can be more patient waiting for the response. I hope they realize that what they receive is not their right. I can only suggest that you should not stop contacting that person because maybe the person is too busy so that the message from you is buried.

Unfortunately, you probably will not return your money. You should always carefully check the address of the wallet to which you transfer money. Exchange support most likely will not be able to help you.

if you send to the wrong address then no one can help you even though you have sent  response to binance to poloniex. but I am sure they will not respond or help you, because this is your fault not from market

If funds was sent to the right address then it should have reflected not more than 24-48 hrs all things being equal . But if it’s the case of funds sent to a wrong wallet address , then nothing can be done to this either by poloniex or  binance.

yes it is true even I have experienced something similar when an error in sending to the address, I tried to respond to the party but could not return, because it was absolutely my fault (the owner) was not their fault (the exchange). learning from experience though trivial but very high risk

When you send to wrong address then nothing can be done but when you send to wrong coins address then chances of getting recovery is there but only if exchange show mercy on you.

very doubtful if Poloniex will solve your problem. Poloniex support in my opinion is too lazy to solve problems and often delay in giving answers.
Will your USDT balance return? I do not think so. Poloniex is not too cooperative for a number of reasons. And binance,I don't think they can help you because the money (usdt) has been sent.

I think you can ask for help to the support in Poloniex exchange.
Because on swap exchange like https://swap.online , you can see the address of bitcoin and USDT for deposit are same.
if the address between btc and usdt are same, then there will be a chance to retrieve them.

This is their reply, that means you will not recovery your money anymore.
I think they can find ways to recover but like they said it's a complicated process and they will loss more time if they do while they are not getting a good amount in return. Just be careful next time, learn from your mistake.
