Title: altcoin growth too slow?
Post by: anks on May 13, 2019, 09:40:36 PM
when i compare the markets with the bullish trend years ago i get a bit confused.
the growth always came along with bitcoin but when i see the altcoin today the growth is a bit (how i might say that...?) ridiculous...
will this change or will the volume still be so low? 24hr highs and lows variated beetween dollars back in the day at 100m coins but
today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...

but we do not expect a lot in quicktime because it is in the beginning stage show slow and steady wins the race this is the statement is most suitable for the altcoins to develop.

Therefore investing in bitcoin is the best choice, but when investing in bitcoin the level of profit growth is not much. Conversely, if investing in altcoin, the level of risk is higher and also comes with higher profits. depending on the preferences and finances of each person to make the right choice. I choose to invest in bitcoin and altcoin, still have a lot of good altcoin at very low prices, which is your chance to make a profit.

I have a different perception about that. I just see altcoin as a people that still waiting in the queue and after bitcoin bullish will have stopped and then that should be the time for altcoin.
People are putting their money to bitcoin and it's not USDT holders only but altcoin holders too were trying to take the same chance as what did by USDT holders.
When bitcoin gets stable and they will stop it and then move it back to the altcoin and this is the old cycle of bitcoin.

I believe that the altcoin frenzy in 2017 was due to massivly manipulated markets. Look eg at IOTA or XRP, they at least tenfolded their value in no matter of time, XRP eg in about two weeks late 2017.
That is nothing what happens because a handful of newbie investors put 1k or 10k into the market, you need billions to move a coin like this.

The current upsurge movement of Bitcoin is not directly affecting the altcoins to the dismay of the many who are expecting that Bitcoin will also be pulling the other coins and tokens up. As of now, people are more focused on Bitcoin and maybe because as of now we don't have the same volume of trading that we saw in 2017 and early 2018. Now, maybe this is just a matter of time as soon the energy and enthusiasm of Bitcoin can spillover into the other cryptocurrencies as well.  We just have to be patient altcoins will soon be moving as they should be. In investing, there is the need for money, time, focus and patience.

It's always been like this. Right now we're in the calm before the storm. When the Alt boom begins, it will not happen slowly. More like huge title waves of growth.

Yes it's a bit different from 2017, altcoin growth is too slow if it compared with bitcoin growth.

I guess it's because most of crypto users prefer focus on bitcoin than altcoins. Altcoin is still go up though but not much as bitcoin. I believe altcoin will catch up with bitcoin later.

you cant really compare the previous bull run to the current market situation of btc and the alts, it was not programmed to be in the situation, over the years investors interest are very different, you better go for a strong coins this time if you want to had a good profit and nothing to worry about.

maybe because people still have a lot of doubt to buy altcoins after the bad experience in the last year
and bitcoin is the first choice for now, but i believe altcoins season will coming soon in this green market my friend  ;)

I think one reason why altcoin growth is slower compare to Bitcoin is many investors are selling their alts right now and transferring it to Bitcoin.

This is the reason why Bitcoin is slowly increasing. They believe that the bull market has started so they are transferring their funds on Bitcoin. For me, altcoin is more volatile compare to Bitcoin so don't put all of your funds into Bitcoin. Hold around 2-3 altcoins for mid to long term.

Now it has been showing a better level of growth compared to the previous time when bitcoin reached $7500. Among the top listed altcoins I see bitcoin cash showing good growth compared to the other altcoins in the market. Along with the same, these days ethereum has been getting powerful. With the value of bitcoin crossing $8000 ethereum has reached $210 which is quite a good growth.

too slow? yes, but it is better to have a slow movement upwards than a big downward movement right? it is good to have a slow movement for us to buy more while there's still time.

maybe because now many new people are entering the world of bitcoin, so only bitcoin and big coins just go up while the altcoin only experiences an increase in the USD exchange rate

always remember that the market is still recovering from the previous dip and you cant expect it to make all the crypto (not only altcoins) to go on a bull run that easily.

for sure, now a lot of money move from altcoins to bitcoin
thats why altcoins price growth too slow, but do not worry, the bullish trend is in power
and today all of us can see if most of altcoins price spike up in great movements on price  ;)

It wasnt the same all of the time but soon alts are likely to take the spotlight too. Just notice the move of most alts now, they dont pump like bitcoin but they are gaining somehow base on bitcoins move.

And if you will check the bitcoin dominance in the market, it is higher than before. Most trades are held in bitcoin and thats what we are witnessing currently.

Indeed, the value of altcoin is slow and this community has tested its patience to keep abreast of market movements.
But there are still many altcoins that are able to show color with the increase that occurs.

I totally agree that altcoins will grow. Of course, not every one of them. There are several ones which are unappreciated and It's worth looking through the market. Dash and FuturoCoin seems promising to me. They both are quite cheap but they are constantly developing, they have great communities and masternodes systems (FuturoCoin's has still been updating).

altcoin growth is currently in a low position. this is one of the triggers for growth that will be significant at some time. no wonder the growth of altcoin has slowed because after a drastic decline of almost 90% this has become one of the things that cannot be used as an accelerated increase in altcoins.

Nothing happens in the past that is exactly the same as what's happening in the present. So why do you think that is? I think that is what is happening with regards to the people changing opinions and views in life. We cannot satisfy ourselves entirely and we look forward to what the situation is and what the outlook in life should be. The slow growth that you are saying maybe is slow for you but for the project developers, it may not. Just appreciate that there are these kinds of things that you could profit from and invest too.

The market condition is influenced by various aspects. However, the human need for the digital era business is inevitable. All would be good in time. For example in Indonesia, nowadays there is a good passion when the presidential candidate (Mr. Joko Widodo) was said about the government will support transactions using Bitcoin and others, and approaching the announcement result of May 22, I believe Mr. Joko Widodo will be a winner and start progress for the market great.

People might be expect alts price movement such as on 2017 when bitcoin price high following it majority of alts too increase rapidly but the situations will not always be same but at least crypto price are getting better this year and all we have to do is more patience to see altcoins and bitcoin price high again so for me slow movement would be fine as long there is no more decreasing price

The movement of the price of altcoin is slow compared to bitcoin, however let's not lose hope on our expectation in the altcoins that we currently holding. maybe it will not go high now we can't say that it will be the same scenario tomorrow. Altcoin is really having a hard time getting along with bitcoin price we need to get along with that.

Mostly yes, its just slow since bitcoin is the one who's being hyped right now and the eyes of investors and traders are still aiming
to catch up with bitcoin opportunities, afterwards for sure they will come back and find alts to invest and make a ride, be cool and
hold for your opportunities.

Right now btc is pumping and altcoins are not. We need btc to slow down for altcoin growth.

And btc seems very bullish right now. But it will rest at some point and that will be a cue for alts.

I am sure that the price of Altcoin will soon follow the price of Bitcoin, so prices will rise again like last 2017, because there is no way the price of Altcoin will continue to be low, while the price of Bitcoin increases very high, let's wait patiently for Altcoin.

When the bitcoin pump price is too high to make people divert from altcoins to bitcoin, i agree that bitcoin must go up but slowly, because if it is too strong it will cause many altcoins to die.

Everyone certainly hopes so, of course the increase is now better and promising than 2017, this is because the current transaction volume is very large and above $ 5 billion, and this makes me sure that the market will recover soon.

For me they are doing fine since most of the signals I see are green (I'm only pertaining to those few coins which fall behind btc) particularly xrp. Most of coins have the same pattern of graph but I noticed that xrp is a little bit different, there is a sudden spike in its trend. Probably a whale hoard xrp massivley that's why the price pump very hard, what do you guys think? As we look to CMC in this very moment, it's price increased up to 18.1% which is higher than btc's 12.46%. Such as performance is not bad at all :). Happy earnings everyone.

There will definitely be times when altcoin has the fastest price increase this year and we should be patient to see it. Now altcoin is in a very good time to buy and if you have a small amount of money you should risk investing in the coins that you consider to be potential. The market is undergoing huge changes and can be considered as a great opportunity to make a profit so invest as soon as the value of Bitcoin increases.

i think you might have made a mistake in your comparison because when i compare the altcoin growth with not just previous year but all the years that they have existed i see the exact same trend:
whenever bitcoin is rising or falling the altcoins go down. and whenever bitcoin is more stable the altcoins pump are the hottest.

for example take last month when bitcoin price was mostly stable. by that time we had lots of altcoin pumps but now that bitcoin is rising all the altcoins are dumping.

Title: Re: altcoin growth too slow?

I think it's only a matter of time before alts rally. If you remember, this is what happened in 2017 - BTC had a huge surge, and then when that started to slow down, we had an equivalent surge in alts. It is just that BTC often leads the way in a bull market, and alts follow.

They are starting to heat up and follow the foot steps of bitcoin, its ok to have a slow growth than nothing at all I assume we can still wait for the right time. There are some small dump but I think its not the real correction yet so we can expect a more expensive coins. With ETH i'm confident that it can go follow btc and I think eth is also performing well in the past days nothing to worry about the slow pump.

don't lose hope mate because this is just a temporary situation of altcoin ,and for sure soon when bitcoin stabilize again to the top altcoin in the market will regain value as well no doubts. Because in fact it became stagnant only because of the drastic declined on bitcoin which is alts is very affected.  so no need to worry because once bitcoin start to increase gradually again surely altcoin will follow after like what always happened.

That normally happens when the bitcoin is rising because most of the people here are selling their altcoins for bitcoin to ride with the uptrend but then after the bitcoin stops to where it is the max price reach then altcoins will follow faster than you think, for now accumulate as much altcoins as you coin but choose those with the potential.

Then you dint follow the market correctly if you observed after bitcoin cash fork about to announce BTG and Segwit2x in that time there was only bitcoin momentum happened all other Alts were sinking once investor came inside market. I think of course growth for altcoin will be very slow when bitcoin is still potentially very growing. this happens in many cases where bitcoin is rising. As for Altcoin, which can grow high, it is none other than the altcoin top.
so in my opinion you should try to analyze again

I think Bitcoin is rising, automatically many altcoins also raise in the market because many altcoins are depends on the Bitcoin. But few altcoins are follow the Ethereum so they only slowly raise in the market. This month is good growing bull run is occur in the market so better to concentrate the positive altcoin is the only way.

Surely the altcoins will only really rise when Bitcoin has reached a certain price. I think it was the same in 2017, although I'm not 100% sure anymore. One way or another, the good altcoins will also rise in price, it is only a question of time.  ;)

I am not convinced the way altcoin goes on. Bitcoin going to the moon, altcoin action kinda boring to watch. Lots of tension has reignited in the past few days but altcoin is real gems here another chance lies down to buy something. I wouldn't ignore who knows there is an alt-coin season and a BTC season coning all together.

it is not a measure, all assets have their own ability to manage their markets. those who have the ability will grow, and those who do not have the ability he will be silent. because the ability of bitcoin to grow, there are several altcoins that follow it and some will not have a response back to its growth.

of course because bitcoin price not stable, when bitcoin price pumped altcoin are going down and when bitcoin dump altcoin price down very deep.

altcoin growth indeed slow, maybe because many traders still focus on bitcoin if bullish ends or let's say the price of bitcoin is stable for a month. i guess traders will return to their altcoin assets and pump all altcoins. I am very sure of this.

the ability will decide the matter of development so if a investment is developing very slow then it able to develop like this only so we cannot make a question with that if it develops low then it will definitely stable also.

Yes, it is. I only think that is because the altcoin still watching the bitcoin price moves and they see that bitcoin does not stop in one stable price but it still up and down many times. That makes altcoin difficult to increase because every time bitcoin price increase, the altcoin will get down for a small price so it will make time for us to waiting for the altcoin to rises.

when i compare the markets with the bullish trend years ago i get a bit confused.
the growth always came along with bitcoin but when i see the altcoin today the growth is a bit (how i might say that...?) ridiculous...
will this change or will the volume still be so low? 24hr highs and lows variated beetween dollars back in the day at 100m coins but
today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...

What happens is that now in the market is going through a stage of accumulation, and at this stage it is very difficult for the altcoins to rise, the altcoins go up when we are bullish, because the altcoins are always going to follow the bitcoin path, since all altcoins depend on bitcoin.

In these moments the altcoins may rise a little but it is not definitive because the operators are waiting for bitcoin and not to miss the bitcoin bullish movements, in fact, the altcoins may lower a bit more if bitcoin goes up, the volumes of Bitcoin increase gradually while some are changing their altcoins to bitcoin.

The market capitalization of the altcoins can go down, as long as we are in the accumulation stage, because the volatility can produce bullish movements and drop suddenly, so that the speculators along with the strong hands to test the price levels are already high or low

Everything has to do with the basic principle of Supply-Demand, as long as there are bullish traps we can see many speculators are going to have gains and losses according to the altcoins they have decided to invest or speculate, because if they are clear about the movements it is easy to decide that the majority of altcoins go down and you can get benefits when they go down trading in margin trade.

altcoin growth indeed slow, maybe because many traders still focus on bitcoin if bullish ends or let's say the price of bitcoin is stable for a month. i guess traders will return to their altcoin assets and pump all altcoins. I am very sure of this.
not all altcoins are slow growth, we can see many altcoins whose growth is fast and can even penetrate what is predicted by experts. yes even though it's only a few percent but it's the beginning of a coin revival after they have decreased.

It is to be expected that after the painful experiences that many investors had over the last few months, they tend to be more cautious when it comes to investing in this unpredictable market, and that is why most of them prefer to return in a conservative mode, without taking excessive risks, and for all it is known that bitcoin has become one of the stores of value preferred by investors, that is why we see a growth in bitcoin that tarnishes the one that the other altcoins are experiencing, but I see it probable that once the bitcoin market stabilizes its current euphoria, investors turn to observe and invest in other altcoins.

although there are some, but of course this has not been representative as a whole, because currently altcoins are too much, therefore investors or traders also cannot focus on helping the growth of the altcoins, and they are more inclined to bitcoin, which lately shows a very significant increase .

the possibility with the growth of bitcoin many people also switched to investing from altcoin moving to bitcoin so that the growth of bitcoin could be faster and altcoins that are only affected by the bitcoin pump move very slowly, but thus we can see which altcoins have good potential when there is growth, can to reference our investment going forward. over time if the bullish market can still survive I think everything will change better for the altcoin going forward, just be patient when it's time for a significant increase that will occur for all potentially good altcoins.

Most investors tend to focus on big coins and this is definitely a great opportunity to buy cheap coins in this market. I think altcoin's slow growth is not a problem you need to worry about because whales will soon pump all those coins in the next few weeks because they have made a huge profit from Bitcoin. I personally will spend 30% of my assets on cheap coins and my choice is now XVG, NCASH, CELR

Maybe because hype still on bitcoin. After bitcoin hype not really much and price stable again, maybe people start  to trade again. So altcoin volume can increased again and altcoin market can be full of traders.
Mostly yes, its just slow since bitcoin is the one who's being hyped right now and the eyes of investors and traders are still aiming
to catch up with bitcoin opportunities, afterwards for sure they will come back and find alts to invest and make a ride, be cool and
hold for your opportunities.
Right, if i be investor, i will look something that still hype and make advantage from it. Then if everything back to normal, i mean not about bitcoin dumped again. But it is like, bitcoin price be stable again, i will change to another thing like altcoins to trade.

They are withdrawing from altcoin investing and converted or transferring to bitcoin so in the result bitcoin is growing while altcoins are dropping or staying neutral in this bullish market

It's always been like this. Right now we're in the calm before the storm. When the Alt boom begins, it will not happen slowly. More like huge title waves of growth.
On the moment alts are making spikes on CMC, almost non in the top100 is red and almost all 10%+ vs yesterday. cant call this calm.
LOL, don’t mind them , they are just impatient, that is why they are seeing this move as being calm, in the last bull run, which was during the time altcoin became dominant, some coins surged as high as $6000 from like $600, these are the type of run they are expecting again from all their investment, I know we will experience that again, but not too soon, BTC needs to first be on bull run for a while, then when it starts to go sideways, we can then expect all the expectations we have been having about them manifest. I think the time we will be seeing the alts season is will be when the halving ended, after which the bull run will start fully.

A few days on, and it's happening as normal now. The first sign of a major bull run is that Bitcoin increases dramatically, whilst alts move up less. Now we have reached the next phase, where Bitcoin starts to level off and alts have dramatic price increases. It is the same as usually happens when the markets start to move upwards: first BTC, then alts.
Personally I'm just glad we're out of that bear.

I had noticed that the price of bitcoin now had stability in the market in a range price of $8k, I guess that is the reason why altcoins following to bitcoin price when it is having a break of growing up. Finally, before the struggled movement of altcoin has been done and moving now slowly but it is continuously. We are now far away compared to the price last year 2018 when we are at a bottom price in the market which is all investors are almost worried.

As at yesterday and the day before yesterday, almost all the altcoins were in bullish trend and some of them has gained significantly.  I have also gone down in research for tokens that were not much visible and some of them has gained above 100% in the last seven days.  I think and I believe that few coins that were doing well in 2017 are not doing very Well currently and that should not mean other altcoins are not doing well.  We hope bitcoin will pull coins like lisk,  stratis,  neo,  Xem,  fuel and zcash that really benefited from last 2 years bull run.

I bet to disagree with you on this bro, I have checked coinmarketcap during the growth of bitcoin, and I can see that majority of them are also Increase almost the same way bitcoin is increasing.

I guess the ones you are referring too are the ones that shoots as high as about 500% to 1500% and those ones only occur during the alts season, not when bitcoin is in bull run, the alts season is a period where bitcoin starts to consolidate, it is either going sideways.

Most altcoins even the dead ones that time tends to speedily grow which usually doesn’t take long before the dump again, I guess we just have to continue being patient.

altcoin is very boring.  I save a lot of altcoins but the price is very bad.  I think the altcoin consolidation is very long.  this proves to us that public enthusiasm for altcoin is very low and little.
as an investor who has a lot of coins, of course you have to have a very big confidence and patience, isn't alltcoin a currency that is very suitable for long-term investment and all of them require patience and a very long time of course

Yes it's a bit different from 2017, altcoin growth is too slow if it compared with bitcoin growth.

I guess it's because most of crypto users prefer focus on bitcoin than altcoins. Altcoin is still go up though but not much as bitcoin. I believe altcoin will catch up with bitcoin later.
of course it's different, I don't expect that the price changes will be the same as in 2017. You have to know that the price changes for each altcoin are certainly different every year. moreover the market conditions certainly affect, in 2017 we are in the glorious day, the price of bitcoin skyrocketed high, and crypto is in bullish, of course we see the altcoin price is very good at that time, but comparing it with this year, there will be significant inequality.

The altcoin market reacted a little bit the day before and this day the same is happening, this is good news for those holding altcoins but what we are still wondering is if this is a new sustained trend or if this is going to be over in just a few weeks? The answer to that question is critical because if this is in fact the beginning of a sustained trend you can be sure altcoins will give great profits during the next weeks as well, but if this is a bull trap then altcoins could give losses so big that some weak hands will sell their coins and this could precipitate a crash.

Yeah, Perhaps the reason why altcoins move slowly is because Bitcoin is going to reach its next level price so that more people are investing on Bitcoin, and less on altcoins. Doesn't it look better than to see Bitcoin price stop on current price?

Some of my portfolios have been getting a lot of increase in a day. It looks like more speculators from bitcoin put more money in altcoin too.

yes indeed the growth of bitcoin is now slowing down a bit, and we can see ethereum experiencing a tremendous increase. now the moment for altcoin should move up. all depends on how the community can make a pump. but when bitcoin goes back up quickly, the situation will be different. maybe the altcoin will experience a rapid decline and it can make the moment disappear from the altcoin.

some altcoins price growth are too slow though market and bitcoin is up at the same time, its not easy to those alts to increase their price for a short period of time.. if you get boring on waiting for your alts to rise then why not invest in bitcoin..

In the bull run I am not sure why the people not giving more attention over all the altcoins. If there is more attention over the altcoins we can see the growth ETH and sibling coins.

If you pay attention to the top-rated coins, we will notice a certain upward movement, which indicates the beginning of the recovery of the cryptocurrency market.  Not only Bitcoin, but for example and ethereum over the past few days have shown very good results.  KVN education plays a role not only in the state of the cryptocurrency market, but also in the quality and relevance of the project itself.

Correct, at the current time keeping traction for altcoins is a hard thing to manage. The ones that can stay around will gain on the long run.

It is a long race for altcoins and even we can't see them growing wild but their potentiality remains.
This is how the market plays for altcoins and it is sad that more investors are focusing almost on bitcoin rather than to choose altcoins.

That is because whales and people are not switching from Bitcoin to altcoin unlike before when Bitcoin dump they switch to altcoin to pump it and vice versa. But now most altcoins are not worth to invest anymore since those pump and dump groups are taking advantage of the newcomers.

I feel the same too.
Maybe the altcoin still searching the good time to increase so we could see the altcoin grow is slowly.
But then I am sure that the time for the altcoin to increase will come so we can make a big profit again.
There will be a time for the altcoin to rises and although we don't know when it's coming, we could hope that soon, it will happen and it will come to us.

when i compare the markets with the bullish trend years ago i get a bit confused.
the growth always came along with bitcoin but when i see the altcoin today the growth is a bit (how i might say that...?) ridiculous...
will this change or will the volume still be so low? 24hr highs and lows variated beetween dollars back in the day at 100m coins but
today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...
I think it takes time to develop but the stability is always there for every investment which will be good investment right now if you are invest now suddenly it take off and make the new changes in your investment and I say going slow will definitely study up your investment and you can win the race.

Why should you compare these years? Crypto market is unique - its life has been changing constantly. I do not think that the situations that happened before should repeat. Alts grow (most of them), and at least this fact is cool.

In some cases, his opinion is correct, even many altcoins are not traded. Of the hundreds of altcoins, there are some that have the potential to become expensive coins, because many are bought by investors and are excellent prizes for altcoins.
Examples are Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, ACash, BNB, and others that are healthy to trade. Some observers even estimate that 2020 from altcoin will exceed the price of USD1000.

maybe there is no problem for altcoins that have a huge popularity as you mentioned. however, for altcoins that have ranked hundreds in the coinmarket, I don't think the development is so big. well, many factors influence this, but I think this will keep up with the development of ETH prices.

Yea some altcoins look too slow, but we should never worry, provided they have working product, they will rise again. We just need to understand how they operate, just like you advised that people sell their coin for bitcoin, these has been the practice and one of the reasons why alts are not growing.

Some alt investors have converted their alts to bitcoin for now, till the time bitcoin will go sideways. I am sure once they see a sign that bitcoin will go sideways, they will start pumping money back to altcoins, and this will also cause a FOMO buy that usually see these coins increase to over 1000%.

Not all alts are boring but most of them yes because their value seem to become stagnant for a verry long time  while some potential alts like eth ,bch , xrp and other alike are still showing signs of recovery and increase  . If still feel bored then there is something wrong with you and not with the coins ,so dont blame them  . Your only too impatient   .

That depend on the situation that may affect them but many altcoins have slow growth because their developers are failed to sustain the improvement of the coin. Others might affected by aggressive bitcoin price movement of bitcoin like price surges or sudden price declines. The over all market situation can also affect the growth of altcoins but they eventually recover when the condition improves.

And when Bitcoin got a stable price for a while, every altcoin price start increasing! That's the same thing is happening now! Though today Bitcoin and many altcoins showed a sudden dump but I hope the crypto market will start it's pumping again!

I would rather say that altcoin market price is currently preparing for altcoin season, which was already started with some indicators. Bitcoin dominance is still very high. I know, i know, Bitcoin is the king, but i think that we will see at least 9% from current point. If you do not watch BTC.D chart on tradingview, you should definetly consider these informations. Interesting chart for you could be TOTAL2 (Total market cap, without BTC) and USDT.D (wich means Tether dominance).

Bitcoin needs stability during this time to determine a new trend in the market and if Bitcoin can raise prices well, altcoin will surely have more opportunities to achieve higher prices. At this time a lot of altcoin is tending to rise very quickly and we will certainly see many coins that are more than 200% profitable in a day so look for those coins to get profit.

Title: Re: altcoin growth too slow?

This is simple and can be reduced to something very significant, whenever Bitcoin raises the altcoins tend to go down a bit, but if the bitcoinestà bullish trend, the altcoins tend to rise accompanying the bitcoin movement, some movements are reflected in the percentage that the altcoins go up with a gain of 2x, 3x because it is always going to be true that the altcoins depend directly on the bitcoin, and in the same way it happens, if the bitcoin goes down, all the altcoins bleed, this is as a normal consequence of the behavior of the market and often because some investors and market speculators prefer to sell and back their investment in USD if the Bitcoin starts to fall, and start with the strategy of waiting for the lowest peak where they can re-buy so that they have more coins and get them out cheaper.
In that only principle, buying cheap and selling expensive is applied, and in retrospect apart from meeting these market conditions, it is clear that the market is totally based on Supply and Demand Law, where there are whales, stronghhands or institutional money that They are what make the market move to where they want to do it.

Many speak of market manipulation by news or by tweets, by social networks, but I think that all this comes from the moment you decide to speculate in the market with very large market capitalizations.

Altcoins growth has been taking good over the time, earlier the price didn't grew big when there is good level of growth with bitcoin. Further after the fall in price of bitcoin as well as altcoins the growth seems to take place in a gradual manner. The price growth seems slow, but there is some steady growth.

I have been waiting for an altcoins season for some time and it does not happen, while I am happy with the gains I have gotten in fiat thanks to the growth in bitcoin the problem is that I am still holding the same amount of bitcoin and I need alts to begin to grow so I can multiply it, the coin that I am interested the most is ethereum since it is clearly undervalued but the market is not responding, my only guess is that whales are still accumulating ethereum and they are liking the low prices we have now.

The graph provided is a little strange because when Bitcoin rises with a sample height of 10%, the growth of altcoin is only limited to 3-5% but if there is a correction to Bitcoin even though only 1% sometimes the altcoin falls very deeply and we can compare several altcoins with price increase at the end of 2017 with the current price of how the comparison occurred and my question is whether if the price of Bitcoin returns to $ 15,000 altcoin will also return to that price again I don't think it will.

yes, almost all altcoins have the same growth towards the increase or decrease in the price of the bitcoin market. even most altcoins, growth can always follow the price movements of bitcoin. if we see the movement of bitcoin prices to date has not shown a very high jump in price increases, and of course it can affect the growth of most existing altcoins

Alts suffered because 2017 really was alt season, with ICOs selling out in seconds or minutes, and it seemed like every alt was the next big thing. During the bear market that hype died away, and prices fell acordingly. Many alts fell harder than bitcoin because bitcoin is more established and has a working product, whereas many alts are based on predictions of future products.
This does not mean alts are bad, many of them are great and will become huge. I would say now is a good time to invest in alts as the hype has vanished and prices are more realistic.

you first said that the hype have died and now you are suggesting that this was the best time to invest for alts ?  Not all alts are pump and dump  ,the hype might died but that does not mean that there will be no hype that will occur in the future  .

This is why we should invest only on those legit altcoins because they still have the potential to recover and pump in the future   . The op is right that alts growth are slow but there is no problem with that  .

A bit confusing your post but I think I get you, and I'm in the same frame of thought. It's actually quite easy to see even from the past 18 months of charts. But let's look at a even shorter timeframe, from January til today which is almost 5 months. Bitcoin has done a x2 and even almost x3. Few altcoins have done this. ETH is one of them.

So in the mind, it's the same performance. But BTC in Jan was 15% of ATH and today it is 40% of ATH. ETH was 6% of ATH and today is 18% of ATH.

So there's the proof. I don't think altcoins can recover UNTIL BTC makes another new ATH.

It's okay and do not afraid time has come to altcoins moving up its better to seen slow growth moving than to seen in thr red signal don't worry bitcoin staynstrong possible altcoin will goes up in the right time.
People here are not afraid since market is doing good, the thing is they are just curious why only Bitcoin grows while altcoins stay low,but these days we can see the balance movement already because altcoins from Ethereum to top 100 ,most of them are growing with the number 1 coins Bitcoin so in totality we’re in good mood of marketing nowadays

Altcoin does look very slow in growth. But this became a very positive thing. Because Altcoin has given hope to recover again. So the Altcoin that has been saved since long will certainly start to grow well. As the altcoins that I hold now have grown and this the remaining coins of the year 2018.

as far as I know this year the altcoin is very weak and there are no different changes with 2017, the BTC price rises by itself and maybe the altcoin will catch up but with a long time.

This is the inflow of funds that do move the market up and that inflow should be expected when bitcoin is full enough. I like the slow but consistent steady grow the market is having this days and that makes it good for all of us to be part of it if we take the right investment decision now.

now the market looks calm and stable, but the decline is still common. Slow growth may be good and consistently make the market stronger. this will attract greater investment in the crypto market.

Slow growth for this altcoins are really doesn't need any desparate need to increase in the market. This price are really dependent on on the traders and investors hand.
Will that crypto may take chance to grow more. Those coins will be need more attention and volume that's it.

when that attention grows and market demand can increase I think it is time to grow altcoins. whereas now what happens is still normal. large investments have not been seen entering the market, and trade will also be slow.

when i compare the markets with the bullish trend years ago i get a bit confused.
the growth always came along with bitcoin but when i see the altcoin today the growth is a bit (how i might say that...?) ridiculous...
will this change or will the volume still be so low? 24hr highs and lows variated beetween dollars back in the day at 100m coins but
today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...

We must be happy that altcoins are growing, and not falling. As for the speed, the slow movement is sometimes better than the pump. When they do not hurry up to the top, the chance that they fall fast is lower.

Normally when BTC is bullrunning people will sell out alts and crowded to BTC, maybe that is a reason. While as soon as btc can be stable Alts will rise fast after that

sometimes, price increases start from bitcoin, then altcoin. however, for now, the development of altcoin prices is indeed quite slow, maybe this is influenced by ETH prices. but, we can conclude that when ETH prices have become higher. I'm sure, even though it's slow, recovery of altcoin prices will definitely occur.

you're right, the recovery is indeed very slow, but I think it's better, because some altcoin prices have gone up. ethereum still can't experience a high increase because there are still many project scams that carry their platforms. it had a negative impact on etheruem adoption on the market. but if a lot of IEOs succeed with our ETH investment our price can rise immediately because what happened at binance was that they used their tokens to increase the value of the BNB itself, and that proved successful.

I think because of the correction of the price that's why altcoins still slow to pump, we don't be hurry about this because every thing will take time to grow but surely it will be good for everyone. Just focus to what we do not just in the price.

I think it is not for correction but for the price of movements of both the Bitcoin and Ethereum, as long as they are kept increasing and it is a very good sign for the holders to keep waiting until we see some drastic increases in the price in the coming days. Soon we might see altcoin will start increasing along with the Bitcoin and ETH.

Just in the market there is no significant influx of new money. In this case, when the price of bitcoin rises, the price of altcoins will fall. When the prices of BTC attract a lot of new money to the market, the altcoins will stand and/or rise. But which of these altcoins will survive?

I think it's not a problem if the altcoin cannot grow too fast because that will be not normal to see many altcoins will getting a pump in high but it will back to the lower price. It is better to have a slow movement like this so we can make a strategy related to the market and besides that, we can prepare for what will happen later. The market will move fast at the right time and that will impact all coins can move together and make us confuse to choose what coin we need to execute.

Bitcoin is the determinant of whether the market is red or green, when prices go up, most people will move to bitcoin so that many altcoins drop and even die, I hope this will concern us all so that it can be wise to buy or sell.

As long as Bitcoin can increase slowly and stably, this market will soon enter the period of uptrend. I think now things are still under control and you don't need to worry too much during this time. If possible, choose big coins to invest because I believe that CMC top 10 will have a very good recovery this year and Bitcoin value may soon reach $10,000 so don't worry too much and trust crypto again

it seems that the increase that occurred in this year occurred in several stages, but still in an upward market trend. that's actually good, although there have been corrections several times, but altcoin should begin to improve their market demand to be able to quickly adjust the market.

You should be familiar with it. because this is a market that is not controlled by any government and whales can manipulate its price any time they want. Therefore, that's why so many people get rich quick and have a lot of people go poor quicker.
This is a tough market and it is not for those who cannot withstand the pressure. You can rethink this job.

Alt growth is similar to BC growth now, and some alts have outpaced BTC. The earliest stages of the bull market were driven by BTC, but alts are now starting to play more of a role. I would say just give it a bit more time, and alts will recover strongly - not all alts of course, but certainly those with a good project.

altcoin is very boring.  I save a lot of altcoins but the price is very bad.  I think the altcoin consolidation is very long.  this proves to us that public enthusiasm for altcoin is very low and little.
before starting an investment with altcoins or other crypto currencies, of course there are already understand and understand with all the risks that will be obtained if we understand and understand of course the value and price will not make us panic and fear in investing

The top ten coins in the market will always rise with the price of bitcoin and we have seen that even in the present rally as the price of all the alts moved up along with bitcoin, if the price of bitcoin starts a huge rally like we saw in the past, we might see people selling off their alt coins just to enter the bitcoin rally and if that happens, the price of alt coins will move down while the price of bitcoin moves up.

If we are being patient on waiting for bitcoin to rise, I guess we should put the same patience to alts or even more patience so by the time the bull run will come, we will be able to sell it and find a success because of our patience.

I am not so sure that its lack of money that is stopping the altcoins from going because we still have the top 20 coins that is constantly increasing in value, and if there is no money being pumped in daily, they will not be getting the value they get on a daily basis.

I think the reason why other coins are not just growing is because investors are paying less attention to them as a result of the scamming that has already spoilt the reputation of altcoins, so investors believes more in old already existing coins which is why the top ones are increasing. I therefore do not see any of these coins below top 100 really survive the next bull run has people will virtually sell them off for bitcoin.

Growth does not go well and is very slow. But with the growth of Bitcoin, it is able to provide hope for us as the owner of Altcoin. Altcoin will continue to grow to respond to the growth that occurs in Bitcoin. Some of my altcoins now cost growing because Ethereum is also experiencing a price hike.

Altcoins are not growing at the moment. They are not in the bull market. Many of them are not even finish their bear season. Before the start of the alts bull run, they have to break their weekly and monthly resistance first. And of course ETH bull run is also very important.

I don't know what made the altcoin price slow down, but I think in the near future, the price will definitely rise. even now the price of ETH is still equivalent to 0.03 bitcoin. well, when the price has reached 0.1 btc / ETH, it will definitely make the price of bitcoin rise high.

it seems to be reversed. because the influence of bitcoin's growth on market growth will certainly be greater than the influence of ethereum growth on bitcoin. I think altcoin now has their growth. maybe because of the effects of rising bitcoin in recent days.

If we compare the pricing of ethereum and Bitcoin, then they practically go at the same pace.  Therefore, the price of ethereum in Bitcoin is not too different from the prices for the monthly period.  But if Bitcoin and ethereum reach the level of prices that were in May 2018, then it can be assumed that prices for other cryptocurrencies will also go up.  The fact is that other cryptocurrency users will buy for Bitcoin and ethereum.

Altcoin is indeed much slower than bitcoin, even the highest altcoin price currently isn't 1/10 of the price of bitcoin. But altcoin actually has more space than bitcoin, because smaller capital investors with more numbers than large investors will jump into the altcoin trade.
Of course the market share is different, so don't let all coins happen to be expensive because it will become an exclusive trade where only a few people can afford to do so.

Yes it is much slower than bitcoin, because investors considered it was an alternative way of earning a potential profit which after all they've got from bitcoin trading. When there's a possible bull run of btc price traders will grab that opportunity, for then to gain profit but when price stabilized at that level during peak price trader will option to trade altcoins.

If you feel sick and you think that the movement for altcoins market is too damn slow, stop investing to altcoins and just move over to the coins that has good phasing base on your expectation and standards. The market is very unpredictable and it won't go according to your standard because it has its own life basing on its demand and supply.

This is absolutely true that the Altcoins growth are now very slow compared to the Bitcoin growth percentage. But, in the year of 2017 it was seen that first of all the altcoins growth are happened. Today, whatever the growth is seen in the altcoins that are only for the top100 coins but others are still declining.

It's always been like this. Right now we're in the calm before the storm. When the Alt boom begins, it will not happen slowly. More like huge title waves of growth.

Yeah, we dont know what manipulators are thinking now about altcoins but probably it will also surge up alongside with bitcoin. For now, both prices are a bit stagnant and the prediction is much harder than before. Maybe its just a test and if you can handle it, you can ride the boat upto millions.

We can't expect that altcoins will move fast as it did before. Everything has changed and even we think that we hit another bull run but it never likes as it happens last 2017. Exactly, looking at the price of crypto on the market is enough to understand why altcoin's price is growing so slowly, the reason is that people are so focused on bitcoin, it is obvious when we see the value of bitcoin increasing rapidly while altcoin only moves very slowly. However, it is now very slow but the next one will be an explosion because the whale has pumped the value of bitcoin big enough and everyone is here too crowded, unable to continue pumping, the next trend will be to switch to altcoin pumps when we are seeing many altcoin that has started to rise sharply

If you feel sick and you think that the movement for altcoins market is too damn slow, stop investing to altcoins and just move over to the coins that has good phasing base on your expectation and standards. The market is very unpredictable and it won't go according to your standard because it has its own life basing on its demand and supply.
Whether it is the top listed altcoins or the rest of the altcoins, the growth is always associated with the demand to the supply along with the trading volume, speculation happening around the market relative to the particular asset and various other factors need to be considered. Based on the same at times there will be slow growth as well unexpected fast phase growth. It is always good to move along with the market and should have patience to get good profit out of the investment.

litecoin and a number of other altcoins that are experiencing rapid increases and decreases are those who have high trade. try to see the trading of these assets on the market. so many people trade litecoin so that they can experience an increase or decrease quickly. but overall all assets are still moving slowly.

I prefer altcoin to grow slowly but can grow sustainably rather than grow tall but experience a severe dump. so I think altcoin is currently adjusting to maximum high prices by walking slowly but surely.
More investors were focus on BTC, but it doesn't mean that they are not preparing for altcoins pump. There just too many altcoin to choose from and hard to focus with. Still buy some potential alt for it will sure soon to affect price increase whenever BTC incline in price.
I don’t think the problem is a lot of altcoins. Any diligent investor can research every coin. But almost all altcoins are illiquid, except for promises ;D, they are not secured. Excluding ether is technically difficult to buy anything.
It is difficult to say which assets are being accumulated by major players.

It is a very strange correction if it is a correction. The prices of the cryptocurrencies are going up and down all the time, and poor beginners simply do not understand what is going on and whether to invest or sell their tokens.

definitely not all cryptocurrencies will rise in the near future in price.  All we can count on is an increase in prices for the highest-rated cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and ethereum.  And only after Bitcoin and Ethereum have already regained their strength, users of cryptocurrency will become interested in other projects, investing their Bitcoin in these projects.  Only when demand for certain coins increases, will the prices of other altcoins and tokens rise.

it is the basic cryptocurrency that increases or decreases at any time and at any time. so for beginners about increasing altcoins they must take the situation when prices go down to invest and when high prices sell and get profit. that's a good and easy step

Yes the altcoins are growth slowly but it takes to long these altcoins will rise enough the price. Not like bitcoin and etherium are in high price condition and we hope so those altcoins will be followed of the two coins in the market.

now the scamer is indeed appearing so much, and causing the altcoin to grow slowly. should the fraud be dealt with quickly. because the fraud was quite troubling for many people who were involved in the world of crypto. if the fraud is not immediately dealt with, it is likely that investors will be depleted.

when i compare the markets with the bullish trend years ago i get a bit confused.
the growth always came along with bitcoin but when i see the altcoin today the growth is a bit (how i might say that...?) ridiculous...
will this change or will the volume still be so low? 24hr highs and lows variated beetween dollars back in the day at 100m coins but
today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...

I rather think the growth is going just fine. Quick flashes of pump and dump will never yield the growth and stability we want in this industry. We need organic growth and that is what we are currently witnessing

In addition to seeing from the market volume aspect, altcoin developers also cannot make corrections quickly and look incapable. But there are some coins that depend on working products that experience the opposite, and the rest are indeed not an interesting solution. Currently traders are also more loyal to coins with fast routine development projects and only think short term for other coins which are only seen from daily / weekly capitalization.

Indeed, we really need the actual demand that could help initiate a good price increase which could stabilized the market value. For now even if the growth wasn't that fast compared from before, I guess that's an assurance for a strong marker capability. Previous year's journey was too trending because of hype price increase, which other people considered it as bubble price.

It's expected that alts will follow, however, let's remain patient as even if it comes late, that will make the market more bullish and will bring more profit to us. The way we hold last year for almost a year, we should do the same this year, but I believe this year we are going to have a chance to sell at a profit.

This is no longer strange for traders in crypto market. because the crypto market is one of decentralized markets and it does not have SEC control, and it is always manipulated. We need to understand the rules of the market and you will choose the right time to buy at a better price.
Smart people always understand what the market wants and will go against the market. That will make them rich.

It's seems to be like that, most of the time when bitcoin move up chances that Alts will fall a little as holders will sell out fast, wanting to hold btc as an asset making sure that they will get much better value of investment to people who hold and wait.

you are right, the growth that happens gradually has the advantage that the market can be formed strongly. different from the request at the time of the pump that occurred, because indeed it could be very easily a price decline. we can see from last month, pumps that occur in this market occur slowly and gradually. I am afraid the altcoin now growing too slow because of bitcoin increase to the higher price, and it already breaks $9k. Bitcoin price will increase more in the next month, and it will not stop in $9k only, but it will grow higher. Bitcoin and altcoin will always up and down in many times and if now the altcoin is not grown, then right now it's the time for bitcoin to increase, so then the altcoin will follow bitcoin to break the highest price again.

Slow growth is always better because it gives time to the market to find a stable ground. See Bitcoin as the perfect example of this, it keeps going so high so crazily,,, and then drops so crazily as well. Because it is simply a new market with a new asset that the whole world needs to get used to. Imagine from the first transaction of 10,000 BTC for 2 pizzas. To today the same amount worth 90 million dollars!

don't worry this is a cycle of bitcoin and altcoin price movements, when the price of bitcoin rises and the trading volume increases, the altcoin will start to weaken because all focus is on bitcoin, whereas if the price of bitcoin starts to fall then the altcoin price will grow again.

You said it right, bitcoin is more love now because it's rising and it's liquidity is good, but as bitcoin continues to rise and people got FOMO, new investors will be coming in again and might not only focus on bitcoin alone, of course there's also a big opportunity to make money in altcoins.

And you say altcoin growth is still too slow? Maybe enter the correct reality first?

correction will occur very often and the real possibility is the accumulation of bullrun potential in the next 1 year. fundamental factor in this case is Altcoin in general will not be so related to bitcoin in one long trend, and even the opposite, but the real movement will be very massive for coins that have organic graphics from a valid system development.

Altcoins growth isn't low, the dominance level of bitcoin keeps increasing which is getting impacted over the altcoins. Particularly over ethereum, when ethereum gains momentum for a fast pace we can experience growth with more altcoins available in the market.

There is assured growth with altcoins same as that of the 2017, believing on the same investing or buying altcoins and holding will get good profit. As the growth rate isn't that high trading requires a huge volume to make a bigger profit. Let's wait for the recovery as very few coins are priced good while majority are still 100% low to the ath price.

Almost all coins have adjustments when the market tends to rise and after each adjustment, that coin becomes better and more stable for a long time. I now see a completely natural growth of the market, because it is much better when altcoins grow slowly than when the price is artificially pamped and then a dump. If there is a gradual growth, then interest in cryptocurrencies grows and people buy coins.

when bitcoin market is bullish with all positive trends then altcoins coins will take time to pump we can see altcoins pumping only when bitcoin market prices stabilizes
actually not like that. several different conditions. we can see the market conditions a few years ago. where the price of bitcoin rises and the altcoin decreases. there is also a rising bitcoin and an altcoin rising. this market is not so easy to predict.

The pace at which btc has grown from 3500$ to 9300$ at the same time altcoins many of the best coins have not grown at this pace. Infact it has come down to an extent rather than rising it. So in such case btc is better in terms of making money.

You can absorb in the market only topmost potential coin prices are increasing in the market, it will take some specific time for the altcoin to increase the prices. Before increasing the price of altcoins the price of Bitcoin should be stable at the current value.
When compared to the growth of Bitcoin, altcoin certainly feels slow, in my opinion because there are too many altcoins that make investors shift their investments to bitcoin. So that from the number of coins there are hundreds of types of coins, there are only a few that appear on the surface such as ETH, BNB, LTC and others whose numbers are only 20 types of coins.
Different from if the altcoin number is at least 5 to 10, of course the movement can be faster, because capital from investors can accumulate to several altcoins. Now of course there is a lot of capital going into bitcoin because it feels more profitable.

I am still waiting for Bitcoin to stabilize before expecting our altcoins to follow up, the thing right now is to accumulate more bitcoin as much as possible to ride up in the next ath of btc
correction will occur very often and the real possibility is the accumulation of bullrun potential in the next 1 year. fundamental factor in this case is Altcoin in general will not be so related to bitcoin in one long trend, and even the opposite, but the real movement will be very massive for coins that have organic graphics from a valid system development.
Almost all coins have adjustments when the market tends to rise and after each adjustment, that coin becomes better and more stable for a long time. I think the crypto market is a place where people should consider investing now because the price increase is just beginning and if you catch this opportunity, the chance for you to sell at a high price is entirely possible and adjustment is not a problem at this stage
You're about crypto market to be the best place where people should invest now due to the opportunities involved in but the major problem most new investors have is not know the right time to enter the market and the coins to choose cause some investors only follow hype.

you're right, finding the best moment to buy or trade is difficult. especially when the altcoin market is like this, moving is not much, it is possible if we choose the wrong asset we can get caught up in our investment and receive losses.

There lots of altcoin out there, which one should I get? Here I recommend proof of stake coins (PoS) might be the best from this point on. You could agree with me that the coin that could provide the best ROI attracts anyone easily! Proof of Stake coins is the right solution - great way of earning.

even though the altcoin movement looks slow, I see now some altcoins are seen in an uptrend. isn't that good for investments where prices are not so expensive, and the trend is rising. moreover supported by the increase of bitcoin, it can foster considerable crypto adoption.

when i compare the markets with the bullish trend years ago i get a bit confused.
the growth always came along with bitcoin but when i see the altcoin today the growth is a bit (how i might say that...?) ridiculous...
will this change or will the volume still be so low? 24hr highs and lows variated beetween dollars back in the day at 100m coins but
today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...
Altcoins are really slow when it comes in surging. They based their prices in bitcoin. So, assume that bitcoin will having its first move before the altcoins. I don't know if altcoins will be dependent soon but as of now, they are following bitcoin. In fact, I am hoping that ethereum will move up without hesitation that bitcoins falls down.

Soon, we will see the altcoin making a bull run, and that will give a chance to the altcoin to increase higher. I guess that right now, some of the altcoins have already increased and make a new price, but in the next bull run, the price will increase again. In that time, we will see many people will become greedy because they want to make a bigger profit. You don't have to follow them if you realize sometimes the profit cannot be bigger in a short time.

I think buying bitcoin now is the right choice where there will be more growth, we can lag behind opportunities if we don't use it immediately. altcoin is not all moving slowly, some are following the growth of bitcoin, but be careful, if later there will be a correction that is dialed by altcoin.

That should be observed but what happen is not like that.  People tends to influx to those cryptocurrency that has more hype than development.  They wanted to ride the sudden increase then sell them for quick profit.  In short most of audience today is in for a profit not for the use case of a project.

The money will go out of bitcoin and flow back into altcoins, this same process always happens.  If you are holding a large amount of btc this is a good time to diversify into some solid altcoins.  For example ethereum btc ratio is very low right now which is a good buying opportunity.

Not only ethereum, it is right instance to buy as many altcoins with good growth potential. To profit good out of the market buying and selling needs to be done at the right time. Diversifying into different solid altcoins as suggested will get promised profit. The altcoin growth will happen good by the end of the year and users should have patience to profit out the investment made.

One of the big reasons why altcoins are not growing fast is because of all the scams in 2017.

This has really hurt the altcoin market. Legitimate coins are now passed off as scams because investors are afraid.

This has stunted the growth in altcoins and has stunted the growth of emerging technologies which is not good.

There's always possibilities that new or old projects will perform well and become a good venue for investment, as of now bitcoin still performing and making a good bounce giving all the investors huge profits since last years dropped, alternative projects will soon get more interested participants
and newer investors to bring  bigger hype.

maybe because now many new people are entering the world of bitcoin, so only bitcoin and big coins just go up while the altcoin only experiences an increase in the USD exchange rate
There are no exceptions. The whole world is having more positive state transitions with bitcoin. it is a catalyst large enough to continue to spread the popularity of bitcoins to the world. altcoin's demand is still rising but there are too many altcoin, it will be allocated lower. just to say that bitcoin is always unique for the boom.

Bitcoin has always been a special thing for new investors, I think that is a natural thing. however, it's likely that it will also affect the altcoin. the current price increase may be quite different from last year. well, we know that the current price developments are quite slow for altcoins. however, sooner or later, I think the price will go up just like bitcoin today.

if we are talking about the Altcoin project, then it is growing quite well, but if we are talking about altcoins in general, of which there are more than 2000, then it remains only to wait for them to start growing, because so far they show very weak growth.

Any altcoin right now is undervalued, and I'm sure a select few will perform way better than the rest of the market.

We'll run into huge scaling issues soon, if we don't make use of off-chain transactions through Lightning channels. It goes for any project wanting to go full scale really (with a few exceptions).

One of the project I'm having my eyes on is Stakenet. It's one of the projects focusing the most on Lightning Transactions, which opens up a wide range of possibilities, and removes a LOT of limits we currently have.
Lightning has been accused of being a "centralized" solution, but Stakenet uses masternodes to act as Lightning hubs, so their setup is actually genius when you think about it.

They are building the first Lightning DEX
First Lightning Multi Currency Wallet (With inbuilt TOR-integration), adding support for USDT (Which announched they'll be moving to lightning as well), this makes it possible to tether up inside your own wallet, without risking your assets to a centralized exchange. It's currently in open BETA.

Do your own research, but it's definitely one I'm keeping a close eye on!

We can still spend 10% of the capital to buy alts at different good prices. After the season of alts comes, you will see it grow very strong.

i found the reason why alts are so low.
they are blindly sold. the price is the same but the price in sats got lower and lower.

btc influences alts MECHANICLY so normally the price MUST go with bitcoin.
it doesnt because sellers are pulling the price down.
when btc rises the worth of the las bid in sats also rises.
compare the worth of sats per altcoin before the bullrun and now.
alts lost nearly 33% in sats even if the price in dollars is the same.

i can suggest everyone to go out of the cryptomarket until the btc bubble pops.
alts will bleed to death and THEN its time to invest.
it will go price mechanicly down and there not enough optimism to defend the price surge
that it falls to death is a logical consequence not even speculation.

it sounds fudly but believe me you will thank me for that.

that btc bubble will pop soon. the patience of investors runs out.
investing in alts now is a high risk bet where you can loose a lot now.
wait until it pops. then you get alts EXTREMELY cheap. thats the best strategy i can suggest now.

the slow growth of altcoin is based on the dominance of bicoin in the market.
people believe in bitcoin more than altcoin, this is due to the large number of altcoins that die in the market which makes investors lose interest in altcoin.

The current alts are not slow growth, it is going backward against Bitcoin. This is a very bad sign. when the whole market is focused on Bitcoin only.

Personally speaking, alt season would not be successful if dominance doesn't go down, many people already have an open long position of altcoins. It would be a bit boring again to get the same familiarity, this time altcoins will not be able to hit the all-time high easily. More than that crypto society doesn't need a pump of the useless projects, only potentially good projects deserve to live in the alt season.

Interesting but scary explanation, the bubble will not pop unless governments accept the law against the use of Bitcoin or any bigger resistance like quantum projects will appear. Everyone wants to buy from the cheapest prices but catching a falling knife can be harmful if the trader has no idea about catching the minimum dip of the markets.

With bitcoin reaching 14k and with the bitcoin dominance that rose up to 70%, altcoin market is dying and we're not seeing an altseason soon, to support this, if you look at the charts, the resistance of BTC dominance that is 64% is broken and now acting as support and bitcoin dominance is not going below that soon.

Some experts say that the epoch of a bullish trend is over, and we need to be ready for the next fall. It sounds scaring a bit, but I still hope that even the best experts can be mistaken. Bitcoin is dominating, and it affects the price of other altcoins. Now, they can go down even faster than BTC if bears come to the market again and the great fall starts.

today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...
A year ago there was a bull market, so everything that happened with coins in this period is significantly different from what is happening now. Indeed, now the market is bearish, so you should not be surprised at such a slow rise in prices.
I assume that soon the phase of growth and tide will begin on the market for new investments, and in 2020 we will again see a real bull market.

but i see altcoin still follow btc even if slowly, and some people said altcoin will never grow again, i dont believe it we need more time for pump.

Everyone has bullish price predictions for 2020 due to the expected Bitcoin halving but market makers can play the dirty game with the crypto traders. The bull market already happened for the BTC and dominance climbed the highest point. Altcoins have no chance to raise their limits if BTC dominance stays on these levels.

the rise of bitcoin causes altcoin trading to not move. it's hard to get profits from altcoin trading.
except trading coins that are stable and have large volumes such as xrp, ltc and other coins.
we hope the altcoin season is coming soon, and bitcoin is more stable.
Stable prices are not going to make money for both sides of the traders, the market has to touch the resistance and support lines for providing enough liquidity. Large volumes are made with hunting stops, small marketcap altcoins don't act like the mentioned most elevated altcoins.

Although Altcoin is experiencing slow growth, we should also be able to think more positively. We can see that with the rising price of Bitcoin, so Altcoin is also experiencing growth, although it runs slowly. This situation will, of course, be different from the year 2017 because in that year the price of Altcoin rises very fast as it follows the rapid increase in Bitcoin prices.

When #Altseason starts, altcoin will grow so fast that we will not have time to buy them. We will wait for a rollback, but it will not. Do not wait and prepare.

that is clearly seen, because altcoin relies on bitcoin price movements. if altcoin is growing fast, then it's questionable. because bitcoin goes up fast, altcoin goes up slowly. altcoin rises fast there must be a cause or there is good news and technological development.

Altcoin is currently the majority can not provide much benefit for investors because the price movement is still not so large. in contrast to bitcoin at the beginning of the year until now has experienced a significant increase. some of the top altcoins that I invested haven't increased so much and this is unfortunate when the moment of bitcoin goes up

just take a look at the index. nearly every coin is down below zero.
this has nothing to do with the alts itself. the main reason is still that btc manipulates the altcoin price.

when the btc drop gets even harder, alts will also fall very hard. they are already blindly sold after the rise of btc but it can get much worse.
but this is also an opportunity to get very cheap alts. you just have to be fast when it surprisely drops otherwise other people will take your order away

the main reason is that people have enough being a playing ball of btc so they get directly to btc.
there are many good and bad projects in the altcoin market. the big problem is that indicators dont matter when btc pull alts how it wants,
but there are still opportunitys ;)

Slowly but surely, that is a picture that is suitable to be linked with altcoin, very different from the development of bitcoin that has changed significantly, therefore we must look at the positive side only, that with affordable altcoin prices many investors are investing altcoin

Yeah, some altcoins are growing slowly but the exchanges which they're listed in has a huge say in its price, wash trading exchanges tend to trade these altcoins and since they will loose money trading it up, they trade it down, in line with bitcoin movement; Bibox is very notorious of this; https://www.slideshare.net/BenardKeshmia/wash-trading-exchanges-harming-the-industry-bibox-another-culprit

Yeah, maybe the growth of the altcoin is slow. But their volume is increasing day by day.
And I think this time is not the alt season, but it doesn't mean we are not buying it. But with this decreasing altcoin value, instead, we should start stocking altcoin at a low price so that later after some time the value will increase

When it comes to altcoins, you really have to have patience. Altcoins are like startups in where you're supporting an idea to become a reality, and understand what's in store for you as an investor when you look at their roadmap. There are promising coins that are making efforts by listing on big exchanges like Binance and establish real partnerships (https://www.contentos.io/?utm_source=lx) instead of just false verbal promises. Those are the kinds of coins that we need to make the future of crypto space a success.

slow growth big panicking at below zero. thats not a fundament for a positive growth.

but folks a big bang is also a new beginning. cashing in then is like sitting in the front seats of the new train.

this season Altcoin is very suffering because the value of all coins on the market is very low and only Bitcoin has increased, maybe some people just buy Altcoin for long-term investment and the rest switch to Bitcoin. I do not know whether next year the fate of Altcoin will continue like this? hopefully not, I'm sure next year is the year of Altcoin.

I can`t agree more with you. Everything you said is true, starting from patience. Most of the projects are only start-ups, most of them don`t have working product, they just have ideas
and big dreams. There are promising projects that work hard, with real potential. As investors it`s on us to recognize them and invest in them.
Many people made a choice to believe in huge promises that turned to be false. Now they are accusing entire crypto-space for their wrong judgement.

Therefore, we should mentally prepare for this bad event. Keep lots of USDT and prepare for the next dump.

in fact, so far, when bitcoin prices have risen, altcoin has not experienced a quick recovery, and when bitcoin prices have fallen, altcoin has fallen steeply. this proves that the price of altcoin is quite slow to recover this year.

Until now, I am still holding back some altcoins that I think have potential. it's just that, I started thinking that I would convert it to bitcoin when I had the chance to. but, I will try to hold it until the end of the year.

only a few altcoins can grow, it's also based on the ability of self-made updates. like BNB and other altcoins that start their own pumps without being affected by the market situation and the state of bitcoin. when altcoin should be able to create like that more it will create a better altcoin market.

finally someone who understands except the word recover. its the opposite. its not a recover, its already a blind sellout.
be smart people and see reality in the eyes. this price development is not a good sign at all.

go at worldcoinindex.com and see the growth of btc now its like 1,61 percent. many alts are not at the same level or above it. most are below that level
the price in sats has fallen even if there is a green rate above zero percent. the price in sats stays only the same or gets bigger when its also at 1,61 percent or above that rate. otherwise the price in sats get lower. you cant blame it on the projects, there are also many good projects.
the alt market is mostly controlled by the emotions of btc price influence.

remember that drop yesterday? it was like -6 percent. many alts fell even more below that rate.
slow "growth" big fall = price in sats always gets lower even if btc rises. its not win win its loose loose.

be careful people.

BNB is expected to rise because people uses the exchange on a daily basis, other projects have different platform that takes time to develop or with less exposure in the market.

The old altcoin market is a better market, it was able to bring down the dominant rate of BTC because people trust them along wit bitcoin of course, but now, it's quite different because the last time (last bull run) they were overvalued, lots of investors bought at peak and was disappointed with the long correction happen in 2018 and until now maybe, so it takes time for investors to trust altcoins market in general again.

We cannot avoid the fact that has happened with altcoin. many problems that occur with altcoin, can also be a lot of growth without being accompanied by a strengthening of altcoin makes many investors not interested in making prices continue to be worthless. when bitcoin grows is also not accompanied by an increase in altcoin.
an additional problem is of course why it happened like that.

The situation now is that only the market of Bitcoin is growing, the alts are always drowned out due to the upcoming halving event of bitcoin, so speculators have focused a lot of money to buy bitcoin and thereby make the block. Its output has increased significantly in recent days.

This shows that the market still attaches great importance to this event and wants to put money towards it. We should wait for more to buy alts, don't buy now, it will be very risky because the risk of loss is very high. There will be more adjustments going on in Q4.

The last alt season kicked off in feb 2017, when participation BTC was ~86% and started droop significantly, and finished dec 2017/jan 2018 when participation BTC was the lowest ~33%. For the last 6 months bitcoin has been made more and more stake in comparison to altcoins, so the next alt season will start when participation of the bitcoin will be decreasing.

I think this is not a good time for altcoin holders as only bitcoin is surging. Altcoins are facing double whammy trend. When bitcoin increases in price, price of altcoins will increase a bit. But when bitcoin decreases, price of altcoins decreases at double rate. So just wait for the altcoin season to come.

Perhaps BTC needs more time to recover in the market.  Because the capitalization is too high, altcoins have no hope of returning to their original prices.  It's really hard to predict, we need to wait for something new.

Yes it is very slowly because people still don't believe that altcoins can rise. Therefore, investors stay away from altcoins, and as the volume is low, the uptrend is slowly. When people realize that altcoins are not as much affected by the bitcoin movement as they used to be, volumes will increase and so will the uptrend.

Current market movements are inversely proportional to the market movements in last year's rise. true you feel. in the last year when bitcoin pumps all altcoins followed it. with a short time lag. but on this day everything fell apart. when altcoin tries to rise, Bitcoin makes a small increase and again destroys altcoin bull run. and when Bitcoin makes a fast break for falling prices, altcoin follows it.

I agree with you . Altcoin hasn't changed much in price over the past 4 months and this has affected investor sentiment. Yeah, now it's been months and we didn't hear anything positive from the altcoins. There's no growth in the prices and investors are greatly disappointed with the performance of the market. The market would require some more time to grow but it would be difficult to regain the trust of the investors...

This year, altcoins are not of much interest to people because they have experienced huge fluctuations in 2018 so this year they are very careful in investing. I think that altcoin growth is not due to investors because the current investment trend is focusing only on the top coins so it will be difficult to make a profit. I'm not sure what altcoins will look like but I'm sure all altcoins will rise soon in 2020 because this is a year with a lot of big changes.

Of course altcoin is still considered potential if you know how to choose potential projects and need a lot of knowledge to do that because not everyone is good enough to be able to make money in the bear market.

if you may add an opinion, it's one of them because there was a big fluctuation in altcoin in 2018, and also in my opinion why Altcoint today is very slow growing, yes because there has been a transformation from ICO, Crowdsale to IEO, which exchanger and organizer are united there, and if a new project wants to use the IEO system, of course, it must meet the requirements and standards imposed by the exchanger itself.
and it is very big impact for the development of Altcoin, especially altcoin era under 2016, very lucky for altcoin which can still survive because it has a strong community.

Yeah many altcoins grow this year, maybe most of them growing is not in terms of price, but from side of the functionality and usability.
I'm sure the price will follow soon.
Yes i think every alts is depends on what condition of btc is. And it's start recovering now

if you may add an opinion, it's one of them because there was a big fluctuation in altcoin in 2018, and also in my opinion why Altcoint today is very slow growing, yes because there has been a transformation from ICO, Crowdsale to IEO, which exchanger and organizer are united there, and if a new project wants to use the IEO system, of course, it must meet the requirements and standards imposed by the exchanger itself.
and it is very big impact for the development of Altcoin, especially altcoin era under 2016, very lucky for altcoin which can still survive because it has a strong community.

The biggest fluctuation actually was in 2017, to me. That was when x100 was very common for alts, and some even went x1000 or more. Bitcoin itself as we all know went over x20,,, which was the true reason for everything else getting pumped.

That year along the pump, went several crashes. I remember ETH got to $400 like 3 times and crashed before going to 1k. That made a lot of money for a lot of people!

At the moment I also feel that altcoin is very difficult to grow up slowly though, it seems that for this year altcoin has not been able to rise like last year where many traders and investors made profits from altcoin. So that with this incident altcoin traders are very quiet, sometimes taking even a little profit from altcoin becomes so difficult
Are you drunk?havent you seen the growth of market in second quarter of this year?and compared to what we have in 2018 that you are saying to be more productive than this year?

Sometimes all we need to do is just visit this site https://coinmarketcap.com/ and check what’s happen to the value before posting shit n this forum

it is true that in 2017 pseudo toolcoins have pumped more than 300%, but the turning point of the fall in altcoin prices is in 2018, and now in 2019 everything has improved, but with many methods such as IEO this has a huge impact on altcoin, now more people interested in Stable Coins held by large exchangers whose guarantees are clear. The question is whether Altcoin can re-triumphantly successful altcoin through the ICO / Crowdsale method?

It seems wrong because precisely in the last year altcoin experienced a large decline. and this year there is a form where it has increased. we call it Ethereum, where this year was able to increase by 300 $. From 1,300 $ down to 91 $ in less than 1 year. it means that this year most of altcoin is able to experience price increases

And also for the price growth on altcoin is very much influenced by the price of bitcoin. and now when bitcoin is growing bitcoin dominance is quite strong some altcoins are also increasing.all data already exists and you can crosscheck to be able to prove it

Until now, there are no investors who can definitely predict the development of crypto or altcoin, so we with a little slow development and we as investors can only have confidence and patience in investing, of course, with slow growth and I am sure altcoin will grow further in the future. and the development of crypto currencies depends on the investors themselves
Our predictions are often never accurate because the market is always very volatile and prices may change unexpectedly, making investors unable to control profits. This year investors are the ones who are most worried because the bear market is still affecting their psychology and always tend to panic sell when the market collapses unexpectedly.

Currently many cheap coins are waiting for you but before investing, think many times because if you choose wrong, your money will disappear quickly. I am not interested in investing altcoins during this period, maybe I should be more patient and wait for the right time.

altcoin is very boring.  I save a lot of altcoins but the price is very bad.  I think the altcoin consolidation is very long.  this proves to us that public enthusiasm for altcoin is very low and little.
and public prefer stable coin than altcoin today,go to migrations ur assets to stable coins ::)

Yes i think 2018 is the worst year for crypto trading in last 3 years.
This year i really comfort doing daytrading with alts because the price is quite agile and often make little profits. also in terms of marketcap , this year has bigger volume than last year because last year is the year where most of crypto investors running away from crypto due to many scams.
I think this is a recovery year and market looks positive for next year.

Well, I also think that this is a relatively successful year for the altcoin market, although it may not have achieved the best development like the peak season but at least, the recovery has returned, altcoin has started to rise and is pumped a lot, and we should feel it's a great thing for us, instead of thinking like some people are saying that altcoins are growing too slowly. The market in every moment is a different change, cannot be assessed as such, as you said, compared to 2018, this year has been a year with many remarkable changes.

when i compare the markets with the bullish trend years ago i get a bit confused.
the growth always came along with bitcoin but when i see the altcoin today the growth is a bit (how i might say that...?) ridiculous...
will this change or will the volume still be so low? 24hr highs and lows variated beetween dollars back in the day at 100m coins but
today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...

Last year bitcoin dump its prices to at it's lowest, the fact that bitcoin dump or the downhill of bitcoin, it has a huge affect on some investors and they invest on ICO and any altcoins to turn the table around but I think that was one of the main reason why altcoin is too slow in contrast to bitcoin, right now its gradually taking its price before and I think we will see a bull run by the entering of the year 2020.

In terms of the altcoin growth there are to many altcoins on the crypto world, altcoin with their own personal characteristic and price, but how long would they survive that's the main question of it. Also, patience is the key, the phase of altcoin is still slow since the market is adjusting too.

The market is very unpredictable so we don't know when will the altcoins will rise again just like bitcoin whose price just got pumps up and i think there are more support of bitcoin that's why the price jump to $9k+.

We can still take advantage of the market and wait for the altcoin to go up but it will take time so we need to have a patience for that to happen again.

the situation is clearly different if you still expect an alt season with multiples of up to 250x, but now the average alt price has recovered because many have at least touched the ATL zone, but the increase still tends to be below 100% and remains slow despite being warmed with news about development projects .

If we look at the monthly TF, many traders have started to accumulate it, slowly but surely because alt is always waiting for confirmation in which direction bitcoin will move.

This bear season lasts almost two years, and we can expect it to end soon. Next year will be the year of cryptocurrencies, we have many things ongoing and many of them will be implemented from next year. We have a few big events such as BTC halving and ETH upgrade to 2.0, which will affect the prices and we can expect prices to grow. Patience is recommended, the same as collecting and investing now when prices are on the bottom.

When there's less investors in cryptosphere, there will always be slow growth in altcoin. The altcoin season will be difficult to come-by because of the few investors will have in the mist of so many uncountable projects.
Bitcoin has a huge dominance in crypto which will not allow altcoin to skyrocket much

Its the main news this days, words from China, and most of the people relate that event with price rise, what we saw in past days. I don`t believe that one factor triggers bull or bear runs, but people tend to see that different. For sure I don`t think its start of a huge bull run, this is just temporary growth, and its nice to see that, but I don`t think we will pass 10k in next couple weeks, we will stay where we are now. Rise we saw in 2017 will happen again, in next 2 to 3 years.

Despite the positive sentiment from China. that the President of China supports for Blockchain technology but for our expectations regarding prices that will be the same as in 2017 It also seems like it won't be easy. so many challenges that will be faced, especially politics. now it's very tight. can not be denied the sentiments of the easy figures also made the price of bitcoin affected

It is too early to say that and we can't say that the trend will be the same as 2017 because not all of the alts nowadays will recover in its low prices. What is happening on the cryptocurrency market today should not mislead cryptocurrency users, because no one can explain the situation that has developed for this period.  If we analyze the state of the cryptocurrency market since the beginning of 2019, then despite the rise in the price of Bitcoin, altcoin remained in a bearish trend anyway.  On this basis, I am inclined to believe that even the current general improvement in prices by 10% or 15% can be manipulations of speculators.

When there is price bump those times Bitcoin value rise like something and altcoins are slow but when the value goes down that time altcoins falling down heavily.
This is the only reason I never to invest on any altcoins in the long term basis. We cannot assure that how that will go in the marketplace. May be in some years we may expect the growth.

As long as crypto remain, investing in bitcoin remains one of the best investment choice in crypto while altcoin might be slow in development and growth as when compared with bitcoin,  it still happens that altcoin due to its high volatility still stands to provide high profit margin as when compared with bitcoin if proper investment choices are being made. The slow growth of altcoin is highly affected by high BTC dominance

I think that because Bitcoin price is not stable during this time, Altcoin usually grows very slowly and tends to decrease more. In my opinion you should choose a good time to invest because this year the investment risk will be very high and will not help much in making a profit. Currently there are many ways to make money in the bear market but you should only choose good coins like Bitcoin to hold long-term and wait for a new trend to occur.

The markets could rally in the future but it all depends upon the coins you are holding, there is no way that all the shit coins that died in the bear market will be waking up once again, the projects that are dead are done and dusted and if you are holding the top coins in the market then you might get the profit you are looking for.

it only requires your perseverance in analyzing altcoin which can make a pump. don't wait for the altcoin season to come on the market which will make all altcoins go up. waiting will not yield in a short time, you can try trading even in a slow-moving market. but I think now the altcoin market has a pretty good move by moving together and doesn't have much difference with the movements of bitcoin in the market.

Like not moving, even though bitcoin has gone up quite high. Such conditions are enough to stress me because it's difficult trade when market
conditions are like this. And also always have to be careful because of volatility altcoins too very high, it could be the price of altcoins at any
time dropped dramatically. So from that we must have a good strategy related to this. But don't worry too much because I'm still optimistic
that the alt season in 2020 will be happens, from now on it is better to collect altcoins that are seen as potentially rising in the future.

in altseason this is very possible, i remember bitcoin can grow 40% in short day

it is so altcoin can grow 2x-10x in short day too, bcz moving altcoins is easier

just hope altcoins seasons would happen soon, maybe in the 2020

for this time is good time to short any alt or do nothing in altcoins

It was just a spike in the charts and like all spikes, it has to have one side that goes up and other that goes down, the higher the spike is the rise and fall are greater. New spike is coming, and it's close, I can feel it. And it will not be the last spike we will see in the cryptomarket, many more will happen in next 10-20 years.

And have you ever thought about why altcoins are growing so slowly right now? If you have thought about this, you will understand the reason and we can hardly complain about the development of altcoin because the reason for this slow growth comes from bitcoin, Bitcoin continues to have strong adjustments and booms over a long period of time, altcoins can only decline or stand still for bitcoin to go ahead. Besides, we are also part of the reason when the fear is too much and we have lost the confidence to invest in altcoins after a long time of collapse.

This is true, and sometimes situations like this make me bored, and can't think anymore. But I return again that the value of Crypto is very difficult to predict, so I still have hope there is Altcoin that I hold the value can jump up to x100 or x1000 so that I can get huge profits. And this is not impossible, because Cryptocurrency is really volatile.

I think we are too greedy if investing in crypto and aiming for 1000x profits is a short time.
I know there are some of altcoins that made 1000x profits from it's ICO price, but it's so rare and almost impossible in this current year. Crypto is becoming mainstream and we can only get a coin that will make 1000x profits is when crypto is not mainstream like 5 years ago.
A coins that has 10x profits from it's private sale price is profitable enough right now due to many scam projects lately

Patience is not what you need what you need is knowledge, what you need is to know how to trade the markets, altcoins are not moving and they are not producing any profits, there is no point on holding altcoins now and this is even more true when bitcoin has been generating profits for months and it is even possible the price will go up once again at the end of the year, the moment to invest in altcoins will come but until then stay away from them.
Altcoins are often considered as the monetization tool of many investors and do not care much about the growth of the market so this time we should only focus on profit. I don't know when the altcoin season will appear but hope that it will happen in 2020 because this is a year that is a lot of people waiting and the probability of success will be greater.

In fact this year will be a catastrophic year for altcoin because it is possible that 70% of altcoins will be wiped out of this market. I believe that if you are considering investing in old coins then be more careful as people tend to prefer investing in new coins more.

Altcoin market was struggling for one big reason. There are too many altcoins which people can buy and trade but very few that have a potential in the future and this alts was not been getting popularity because of slow movement in price. That's the reality and every new alts in the market was a pump and dump the tendency the altcoins keeps growing but the odds or the good projects was left behind in terms of price. In addition, the bear market was a big downfall of disappointment or dissatisfaction for most of the investors in the past. Altcoin market needs new money flow when bitcoin market starts to be alive once again.

last year ago was altseason, and now it isnt altseason. if you campare them, it would be totally different for all
on altseason, many coins can grow up easily even 2-10x is easy too. but it wouldnt happen this time
you can see the marketcap is so low on altcoin, most of marketcap is on bitcoin with ratio 67:33

Not to mention that in order to see an altcoin season we need new investors to come to the market and invest in those coins, but new investors seem to only be interested in bitcoin since they can see what has happened to the altcoin market and they are not interested in putting their money in a bunch of coins that may disappear in a matter of months, so if we want to see an altcoin season then most altcoins need clean their act and begin to show they can achieve something and stop being just a way to speculate with your money.

I agree with you . Current market needs a lot of new investment so that the other coins have a chance to grow more next year. In fact, the bear market has a huge influence on people investments so be extra careful during this time period because risk can happen at any time. I am quite worried about the downtrend of this market but cannot do anything else so the best option is long-term investment and patiently waiting for the altcoin season.
