Title: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: JasonFC on May 18, 2019, 12:41:44 AM 2020 Edit: The commission for PvP bets has been removed, making their effective house edge zero. We've also added some exciting new game modes & features, like instant crash (based on bustabit) and a time-locked vault.
Announcing the beta release of flashflip Hey everyone, my name is Jason and I'm the owner of flashflip. Together with my partner VarFC, who is the head coder of flashflip, we're proud to bring you a cryptocurrency gambling experience that is unparalleled. flashflip allows you to enjoy your gambling experience from the comfort of a Discord server via the use of our Discord bot. There is no need for you to use an external site for any part of the gambling experience, be it depositing, withdrawing, investing, or the actual gaming. Game mechanics Currently, there are two game modes available: coinflip, and rock-paper-scissors (RPS). In coinflip, users can place a bet on either heads or tails. If the bet resolves in their favour, they receive 198% of their bet back, and if it doesn't, they lose their bet. The same applies for RPS, except there's the possibility of tying with the bot. In that case, the bet is returned in full. The current house edge of both of these games is 1% and is not set to change in the foreseeable future. The maximum win is 1% of the current bankroll. All games against the bot are provably fair. To generate each result, the bot's daily server seed is used in conjunction with the user's set client seed. The user can set a custom client seed at any time. Every day, the bot automatically reveals the previous day's server seed, which can be used to verify rolls. To ensure that the rolls are fair, one would run the hmac code snippet using their client seed, nonce, and that day's server seed for more than one roll. This is easily available in the form of a verification command built into the bot, and the script can also be run locally. flashflip can also be used to be play PvP games with your friends! The coinflip and RPS games are available to be played between two players who agree to the game and have an available balance. For RPS, they can DM their choice to the bot, and the winner will be paid out 199.5% of their bet, with 0.5% moving out of the bets as a bot commission fee. Thus, the house edge for PvP games can be considered to be 0.25%. Investing mechanics The bankroll of flashflip is available for public investment with a simple invest command. If you invest in the bankroll, that means you receive a stake in it, and you receive a proportion of all player losses. You also have to payout a share of all players wins. There is a 0.25% bot commission that is taken from the investors for each wager. This means that the expected profit for investments can be considered to be +0.75% per wager made. There is also a dilution fee of 2% applied to all new investments that is given to old investors with no bot commission. This is for two purposes: to ensure that old investors are not diluted away unfairly, and to reward long-term investors. We would like to credit bustabit for the investment mechanics, as the bankroll model is based on it entirely. Our principles We believe in complete transparency for users at all times. All tokens in the flashflip bot are backed 1:1 by real bitcoins. Investors can, at any point, request a signed message in order to verify holdings, and it will be promptly provided. We also guarantee that all withdrawals of user balances made from the bot will be processed instantly and without delay. Regardless of withdrawal amounts, we will never force users to give away any of their information for any purpose whatsoever. If we are made aware of a player that is underage or of a player that is gambling illegally, their balance will be frozen at that period in time and they will be unable to play further: but their balance will not be confiscated, and they will be able to withdraw as per normal at any time. Miscellaneous features flashflip can also be used as a general cryptocurrency tipping bot for bitcoin. Due to the limited selection of currencies available in flashflip, we recommend a different solution for tipbots. We plan to integrate multi-server support very shortly, along with a myriad of other exciting features. But I think it would always be possible after all they already made some gambling channel in telegram . But I think this wouldn't really be attractive to a gambler unless the gambler wants to hide his gambling habits to their partner. It's also a great thing that you offer Pvp games so we're able to play games with our pals. I'm pleased to hear more about flashflip's games and services in the future. The collaboration would be more effective if the project itself would focus on providing good services such as entertainment which players could gain both profit and satisfaction. I will be interested to see how it works in a discord channel ? and its worth joining. I have heard about gambling through telegram channels but never experienced it through the discord. Also i hope our identity is not revealed through these channels. You can register for a Discord account totally anonymously. All you need is an email address, unlike Telegram, which I believe requires registration of your mobile number. Unlike other gambling sites or media, flashflip is unable to store information about users such as IP addresses or MAC addresses, making for an overall safer gambling experience in terms of user privacy. Can you explain how the Provably fair works? Because this is the first gambling project that run from discord Sure thing. Each game result is generated by combining a server seed with a custom client seed, and traversing to the user's given nonce. There is only one server seed per day for users, and it is revealed at the end of each day. Here is the code you can use for verifying game results: Code: def provabilitySeed(dailySecret, clientSecret, nonce): This can be used to verify that from the beginning to the end of the day, the server seed was the same for all rolls and all clients, thus proving that it was entirely predetermined. If the bot were to change server seeds mid-session, then the server seed would match for some rolls but not all of them. You can use the "!verify" command in the bot to check a roll whenever you feel like. I will be more than happy to provide a further explanation of the process of independently verifying roles via Discord DM, if you need further assistance. In my opinion, this is the most important aspect of the game. Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: nakamura12 on May 18, 2019, 06:43:07 AM Does flashflip really based on discord? or just using the discord as your server and the discord bot?. Actually, even if flashflip is the first gambling built right into discord but for me it's not new that gambling is built right into discord. I think this is the second time I found or know that a gambling site using social media platform for gambling. The first gambling site I found that they are using telegram for their gambling just like using discord. I have a question to ask, how will gamblers play with your gambling games as I only see the Official Server Link and I'm also wondering if flashflip is still on progress of finishing the site or still on beta testing. My opinion about PvP Gambling is very challenging you will also learn on how to keep your hand strong or avoiding making your hand weak when you gamble.

It's certainly not a new concept, but the idea of social gambling along with the provably fair and investment system is something you don't see very often. Currently, you can play with flashflip by joining the server and heading to any of the games channels. It's not a website. We plan to integrate multi-server support soon, so any server owner will be able to add flashflip to their own servers! At the moment, it's restricted to one authorized server. You already have a 64 member on Discord do you plan to make a promotion on this forum site like free giveaway on the community? Do you use Discord as a server? while researching on google I saw this concept is not totally new but good job for providing us this services. There are very few sites out there that provide provably fair, low house edge gambling with truly instant withdrawals, and we aim to become one of the Discord bots to achieve the same thing. The rock-paper-scissors game mode is also brand new: something unique to flashflip. Also, you can play with your friends in your own servers, something quite revolutionary. Sure thing. Each game result is generated by combining a server seed with a custom client seed, and traversing to the user's given nonce. so about the client seed how to submit it into the bot? btw i saw your older project which is flashcrash can you tell or update the process from that project? The client seed can be updated by using the "!seed" command at any time. It's super easy. As for flashcrash, slated release is sometime in June. Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: leea-1334 on May 18, 2019, 12:02:14 PM Interesting concept. I was very active in Discord channels in the past, and I know a lot of newer coins also did Discord giveaways and airdrops, mainly through games, but to be able to gamble also sounds like new stuff is really being developed for the platform.
Most important for crypto people in gambling is provably fair and house edge. So it is really great that you have this system, but in my experience almost nobody checks if it really is true;) What are these house edge with flashflip? Most important for crypto people in gambling is provably fair and house edge. So it is really great that you have this system, but in my experience almost nobody checks if it really is true;) What are these house edge with flashflip? The house edge for all vs bot games is 1%. I've explained the provably fair system before. Unlike other sites, where you win if the game is "green" and you lose if the game is "red", on flashflip, players can decide which outcome they want to bet on (heads or tails, etc.), and thus there is no advantage for us in changing the occurrence of certain results, since players will just switch to those instead. The house edge manifests itself in the amount returned to the player on a win, which is 98% of their bet on a 50/50 odds game. For every 200 bits wagered, players have an expected return of 198 bits, thus a 1% house edge. Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: LimLims on May 18, 2019, 01:19:32 PM A new site, a new game. It's always interesting to discover new things.
By the way i have some questions that is revolving around my mind. First of all why you choose discord. That's the main thing revolving around me. Secondly why only a PvP game? I know it's the most loved one, but still why? Moreover it will be a new experience for me to play on discord. Feeling excited to try the game. Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: kryptqnick on May 18, 2019, 03:24:58 PM The maximum win is 1% of the current bankroll. It's always nice to see new gambling opportunities. Rock, paper, scissors is not a common game on the market, but a very famous one, and it's good to have it in digital version.Note: This thread will be self-moderated to prevent advertising and spam. I just wanted to ask about the winnings. You are saying it's 1% of the current bankroll, but how much is the bankroll? Is the bet amount limited appropriately, so that in case of winning a gambler definitely receives the whole sum? I also wanted to make a small remark about self-moderation: sometimes people get suspicious about announcement threads being self-moderated, because there is a risk the op will delete any negative reviews or comments even if they are relevant. Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: Bitinity on May 18, 2019, 03:32:09 PM To be honest I do not really like gambling that based on social media platform like Telegram and Discord, I'm not quite sure why but I feel that gamble through website is more comfortable. No offenses, but I'll take a look at your game first. If it is worth enough to play then I can spend my time on the discord to play your game.
Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: jak3 on May 18, 2019, 08:23:28 PM Ok, now I smell fish!. There are two similar ideas I mean how? like yesterday or some days ago I commented on a post which says "Gambling right into Telegram" and now "Gambling right into Discord". Is it I or you guys are really trying to make some new hype. maybe a scam or something?. I really do not understand what's going on but if I find some evidence I have to open a new discussion about this new pattern.
Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: Twinkledoe on May 18, 2019, 11:35:59 PM I'm curious what is the advantage for the gamblers to use discord in playing? How can they check for the provably fair system? Do you think you can entice gamblers in the discord channel? I don't think gamblers will prefer to play in a discord app unless you have interesting packages or features.

This can be withdrawn instantly or played with as normal bits.
The deposit bonus criteria are as follows: - You must deposit an amount under 1000 bits - You must wager 100% of your deposit (eg. if you deposit 1000 bits, you must wager 1000 bits) Once you have met the criteria, ping an admin in the #support channel and your bonus will be credited immediately! I think it's better to play heads-or-tails since it gives more probability to win. It's always interesting to play against people than to play against bot because you will have more fun on it like you can make others angry and give them a mental attack ;D ;D ;D
Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: JasonFC on May 19, 2019, 05:01:17 PM A brand new game mode has arrived!
The new game mode, flashflip Bank, allows you to make low-risk interest on a deposit by running the "!bank <amount>" command. There's a 100/102 chance that you'll get back 1% interest from the bank. However, there's a 2/102 chance that someone robs your bank and you lose your bank investment. Good luck and have fun! PS. Since the release of the new game mode, we have already hit 2 BTC wagered within one hour. Thanks for the support, players! Thank you for the time to explain the response,,, yes it was a good explanation for provably fair and in fact is a slight twist on the usual format. As you said, there is no reason for the house to change the occurence of results if players can realize and switch, but I think the issue here is how to prove that the server seed does not change in the day (which very few players will take the time to prove). So I guess what I say is that, your word is good, but players need to always test the calculations themselves. 1% is a good standard also. Maybe if it is possible in Slack some day you will implement loyalty bonuses to make this house edge even lower! Whats next you guys gonna find a way to create a casino in my fridge? :D All kidding aside I am not sure if discord is really that much bitcoin lover, I have been around of bitcoin for over 6 years and I have tried to move people from many places to discord for couple years now with no success, you can be a bitcoin supporter and also like gaming hence have a discord but never really connect them to each other.
It would be very difficult for you to make bitcoin people come to discord and gamble there as well, I failed to make them TALK there let alone gambling so I know what I am talking about. Of course you can have this insane amazing marketing that reaches everyone everywhere and go viral but unless something like that happens its going to be very tough. flashflip is going strong, with a current wagered volume of 14,000,000+ bits (14 BTC). We've also added a faucet where users can redeem free bits (up to 500 bits every 12 hours, if you get lucky). http://flashflip.io - official server link http://flashcrash.io/about - commands and information Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: JasonFC on August 26, 2019, 11:14:28 AM For the next few days, the faucet payout will be multiplied by 10. Instead of a random amount from 0.01 bits to 500 bits, each faucet payout will be a random amount from 0.1 bits to 5,000 bits. The average faucet payout has been bumped up from 1 bit to 10 bits. This is to celebrate our front page ad spot on discordbots.org, which will run for a week.
The faucet is free to use, and requires no deposit. We've added some new commands, such as !stats, !myprofit, !wagered and !mywagered. Go to the official flashflip server and check it out! To be very much honest, many of the gamblers dont like when a site uses any third party app in its own site. You could have developed a chatbox in the site itself in order to create a community. Moreover as always, launch a quick promotion so that more people will join the site. Wish you good luck OP. No offenses, but I'll take a look at your game first. If it is worth enough to play then I can spend my time on the discord to play your game. I somewhat agree with the above. I personally, too am not in favour of Discord games, I like to use the websites but it may well suit other people. One positive, from you thread I found that the description of how flagship works was clear and well described. Not every body is good at detailing how their platform works but you did great. I do hope that even though people like myself don't feel entirely conformable with other social media, I hope you're getting valuable and constructive feedback :) Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: BTCevo on September 04, 2019, 04:59:25 AM Hey everyone! I heard that quite a lot to have scammer from the these things but it does not mean that every apps is the same. Of course every single things that you used will have the chance to be scammed but as long as the security is good enough then you will have to face this problem. So if they think that they can manage the security well enough then it will never be problem from the start Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: JasonFC on September 18, 2019, 07:45:18 AM flashflip has hit a wagered volume of 30 BTC and investors are currently up 0.275 BTC. Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: oaz7t on September 18, 2019, 08:13:17 AM The returns are pretty high as compared to other gambling sites. I would be interested to enter into discord as this would be all new experience playing via it. I am pretty sure founders will have game rules set to have more profits but considering the odds of winning this could be next level winning to user.
Wow this is new to me I never thought that there would be such gambling in discord, But I think it would always be possible after all they already made some gambling channel in telegram . But I think this wouldn't really be attractive to a gambler unless the gambler wants to hide his gambling habits to their partner. On the other hand, this is true as well. I mean game plays will be caught instantly by other users if we played in this way (discord) and might reduce the chances of winning again and over again. Might be! Cant decide or give end inputs until we play the game itself. This looks to be a bit different, I mean first of all I have never seen one in discord, plenty of failed ones on telegram but never seen on discord, it is actually a refreshing idea.
However, from what I can see on discord, people gamble all together, like on the chat I can see everyone gambling and everyone is literally on chat writing !tails and what not which is really confusing because people want to bet themselves, not have people chatting on their betting. If you could find a private method that doesn't include others into your gamble that would be much much better if you ask me. Maybe some sort of bot you can play on discord but in pm? That's a pretty good point. As fun as it is to play with people in a group, there are times when it can get annoying. Of course, flashflip is also available for players to play with in Discord DMs. I find that about 30% of players prefer to play alone in DMs, whilst the rest prefer to play in the public view with their friends. Both options are there and always have been! First time to hear up a gambling game built up on discord.Hows that even possible? If you do have no house commission being set then how you would able to make profits? flashflip charges a 0.25% wager commission on bets made against the bot (non-PvP games). The majority of flashflip's income comes from here. With this new change, PvP wagers are affected (if you play against a friend or another Discord user, you're playing with no fee and no house edge), but games against the bot bankroll are unaffected (with the standard 1% house edge and 0.25% wager commission levied on investors). My opinion about PvP Gambling is very challenging you will also learn on how to keep your hand strong or avoiding making your hand weak when you gamble. flashflip is a Discord bot, and players can use it to gamble right from Discord itself. At the moment, it's restricted to one authorized server. while the idea is fresh , I can share with you some other site's experience with running a gambling channel or giveaway channel on discord long story short , the channel and its mods and admins were banned when a new channel was created , it was instabanned as well , Discord didn't take it well for some reason it was Stake's giveaway channel , by the way and in total they have been banned three times until they contacted the discord owners and agreed on the terms they changed it a little bit , removed some functionality and had no troubles since I suggest you do the same (contact the owners or the team ), because when/if your site gets big it would be sad to lose all of the progress and have users banned because of some Discord's policy you hadn't read Title: Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair Post by: JasonFC on October 28, 2019, 07:39:03 AM Does flashflip really based on discord? or just using the discord as your server and the discord bot?. Is it still worthy to visit the site and try to gamble? $10 isnt really that much actually but the good thing that he do able to get that 100x multiplier.I did try to visit out this one and this one is on discord. Im bit lost on where i can see the game or just purely some command-type kind of betting and you do able to get the results.Ive seen these games before which are bounded on Discord or even on Telegram but i dont see any interest on it.Its surprising that there are people who do still consider to play the game? unless if this particular player who won 100x is part of the house itself? I cant see much players though. How to check out fairness when it comes to discord-type of gambling? Edit: I do able to read up above comments about fairness.
