We need to be carefull on the link that we are clicking because there is a time that once you click they can get your information even your private information like password. In technology that we have today nothing is impossiblible so be carefull and think first before doing anything.

Even though the software itself may be safe (e.g. myetherwallet), your browser could be compromised.

Browsers are dirty and vulnerable. Extensions can read anything inside your browser. Your favorite extension may auto-update and inject malware into your browser, even accidentally. It has happened before with large javascript projects, why not with extensions?

So do not trust your browser. Only run native wallets with open source code.

Bitcoin is rising you are correct on that. But I don't see other altcoins not even ethereum rising at the same pace of bitcoin. I think scam project would not have a glorious time from hence forth and we are seeing a decline in the initial coin offering sectors as well

I agree with the OP since the hype of crypto currency are going up again because of the crypto market bull run we might also be seeing some websites that offers x2 coins which you will send the amount of coins you want to double or some would even send you files that have viruses with them that could get your private wallets in your computer. Always keep your coins safe.

With the crypto market is going up again and some projects are having sucessful IEO's. Many projects will again having IEO's or ICO's come from nowhere and taking advantage of the hype like in 2017. Let's not forget in 2017, 90% of ICO's failed to deliver as per the whitepaper and others turned to be scammed.

Really appreciate the reminders, buddy. I'm completely aware of this amazing run that we're having but I haven't thought about this possibility. We might see some scam projects coming back up similar to what we had last 2017. Good thing that ICO's have already evolved into STO and IEO which somehow protects us as investors. I participated in an IEO that sold out (http://ecomi.com?utm_source=ecomilx) immediately and so far everything is going good, compared to an ICO which scary with you not knowing if you will get what you contributed. 2. Wallet containing viruses - Always check through virustotal.com
3. Register on the casino page to get a bitcoin bonus for signup - they want you to send btc for your first payout
4. On the discord page, a person in PM writes for help with withdrawal btc
5. fraudulent sites - looking like a right page - you will receive a message in your email to enter your privkey to join airdrop. Do not give login or privkey.
Finally, always be careful, however much the offer would be. Mostly all super profit for little effort is fraud.

Yeap, scams would be pretty active now, Fake 'Binance' give-aways , affiliates, IEOs ticket are storming telegram, received a couple of phishing emails too. Dead project might ride the wave to attract new investors into their shitcoins as well. Also clearly some projects are overbought and tanks solely by the trends. Do prepare for corrections and not gone back the ground 0 if you are chasing the top, which is unlikely if you have the same mindset how others do.

But still, there is too difficult to detect if they are a scam or not in the early time because we don't know more about them and only time will tell later.
