How about we talk about the reason that we need cryptocurrencies, day in and day out banks and governments never fail to show us the dark side , how about we light a candle on it, let's keep adding points whatever you think what makes It amazing , what makes it worthwhile to exist.

In my view , we are finally free and out of the Monopoly world , banks governments no matter democratic or not we are all controlled like puppets , our money is actually not our money , it's the money of the banks controlled by the rich people that we would never see faces of.

With cryptocurrencies we control our own deal , we can easily make it to the top , yes it does have negative times and is risky but let's be honest , who doesn't ? Even dollar was going down !
But it also gives rewards like no other.

Cryptocurrency holds  a lot of promise for all of us including the freedom from the abuses and control of the current financial system we are in. Of course, to many cryptocurrency can also mean financial freedom. Human nature has this dark side and that is the tendency to abuse the power given unto us...this is quite true with the banking system and the current global financial system we are in. However, sad to say, the same tendency is slowly creeping in to the cryptocurrency industry and this is something we as a whole should try to stop as this can be an insult and a travesty.

Cryptocurrency gives me freedom of earn and no third party involved here. If i invest flat money there are many restrictions by government and money londering situations if i transaction lots of money. There crypto currency gives me free fair involvement. So i love it from my best.

We need the Bitcoin because in this world there is not sufficient money.
 Google says that the total money in this world is approx 6 trillion USD. That is 6*10^12 USD. If we divide this money with the population of the world this gives an approx income of
1000 USD/person every year in this world.  That is an average of approx 100 USD/person every month.

This is the paper money that we have to buy goods and pay bills and everything.

This is why we need Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the electronic money very necessary for everyone in this world. We do not have sufficient money for everyone. We do not have money to buy everything we want to buy.
 
    

We need cryptocurrency  for our future is due to our current financial system,lets be real almost every government in this godly earth is corrupt,we can escape them by not entrusting them our money and making our computers our own bank.
And the technology advancement we are in,fiat currencies will be forgotten soon

FIAT will be forgotten soon? Really? I disagree. FIAT will never be forgotten and will still be the primary mode of payment around the world while BTC serves as an alternate payment option in comparison.

What many people fail to realize is that BTC and the cryptocurrency market too is centralized to an extent though it is still far better when compared to completely centralized FIAT currencies.

If we want financial freedom in the future then I could say that cryptocurrency is the answer.
We are making our own banks here and we're making our own profit which is far from regulation and manipulation of the government.
Cryptocurrency plays a vital role in our community and if we'll value it, we'll gain a better financial situation in the future.

Cryptocurrency provides many benefit to people. We can earn profit from cryptocurrency without need on paying tax, cryptocurrency is like a bank which you can store and save your money, and the best part of it is that it is decentralized, no government can control it and dictate rules with it.

I understand your point of view. The bank is doing business with us with our money and has full control over our money. From this point of view, the cryptocurrency may be a much better option. The number of cryptocurrency usage is increasing day by day and it will increase further in the future. Because the cryptocurrency exchange system and its technology are very good quality. And I think the currency coin used in full time instead of the cryptocurrency will be used entirely.

Cryptocurrency is not about just an innovation of money. It is somehow the way of entering a new era with more technological values. Banks can become obsolete but there would be some organizations replacing it with the same function but different view. Things doesnt change. They are evolving.

In general, control over your funds without strings attached to keep it as one liner.  The fact anyone can use it is a big pros also.

I don't think banks and governments are the sole reason why we need crypto-currency. cryptocurrecy offers a lot more than just freedom and anonymity others may not realize this but crypto-currency may bethe stepping stone of a new technological advancement in economical world. crypto-currency may also be the reason that we may achieve one currency in the whole world.

I actually find it more impressive that I can receive money with Bitcoin without opening an account somewhere that requires ID verification and whatnot. All you need is to install an app or generate a paper wallet online.

Sure, you need to watch out for fake wallets and fake sites, but with a little research you can easily avoid them. This is power to the people and there is literally no one that can take your money from you if funds are kept secure.

I actually gave a few family members of mine some Bitcoin earlier this year and they were amazed at how easy it was to avoid dealing with centralized rip-off services such as PayPal.

This puts a smile on my face thinking about it again.

I feel good that my savings are not on a bank account. However, even though I recognize Bitcoin as money, I have to sell my BTC for fiat from time to time to be able to actually use it. Another problem appears when I move to a different country. When I need a visa, I have to show that I have savings to sustain my life there. The savings in BTC don't count, they must be on a bank account... And I would not actually mind paying reasonable taxes for profits in BTC, but in my country, the regulations are not well-developed yet, and paying taxes is a difficult bureaucratic procedure, that totally does not encourage to do that.

Honestly, without cryptocurrency We cannot able to earn directly on bitcoin only. I know lot of us here made a profit most of the time through
altcoins and that can't be deny due to because of this we have a lot of options for us to earn more and to see more other potentials coins in the future as well.

When viewed from your point of view, indeed the government bank looks burdensome to people by arranging transactions, then regarding the dark side you are talking about. If seen from there, crypto can be a solution related to freedom of transaction, but still cryptocurrency is now very free so in my opinion there must be a dark side, examples ranging from fraud even though the transaction will still be in the ledger, but the identity of the person doing the scam, washing money not identified. In my opinion we need a cryptocurrency but with some regulations that may not be burdensome and reduce the advantages of crypto itself.

Just take the quote that you see whenever you visit or open your blockchain.com account. It says, 'Be your own bank' and we can actually do this with bitcoin or with crypto's as a whole.

We don't have to open a checking or savings account with a minimum maintaining balance so that we won't be charged. This is just one of the good feature of crypto's because we don't have to worry about certain charges because there's no certain condition like the banks do.

It's not that we really need cryptocurrency but the thing is about how huge is cryptocurrency impacted our lives. Cryptocurrencies introduced as freedom when it comes to owning currency that is really profitable and surely it introduced as that we can earn more than what the companies can give to us. And in here, you are anonymous in most cases since centralization is also introduced.

Cryptocurrency is indeed very useful to us and it gives us financial freedom, not only that it also provides convenience in our transactions unlike banks or governments wherein you have to follow complicated. However, in whatever we do either crypto or banks or governments, there’s always risk, we can’t really avoid that but I believe that bitcoin is worth the risk.

For me we don't necessarily need crypto at least for now since fiat exist and it works well too. However, we should continue this for the sake of improving. I mean, crypto is a form of technological advancement and which means it helps a lot. It is important in a sense that it could have a chance to further improve our monetary system — to make it faster and more convenient than ever before. Mankind should continue innovating, breaking the traditional and switch to more high tech kind of living. We should not feel contented with space shuttles, we should aim for spaceships; I hope you guys get my point :).

Cryptocurrency in my view opened up many new types of business opportunities that had not previously existed. and give opportunities to those who work in it to provide various kinds of services independently. Cryptocurrency is a society revolution in seeking income freely without having to be bound by any party.

For most, this is still a dream even with cryptocurrency. Even if you have bitcoins and other cryptos, most still cannot spend it without converting it to fiat first.

However there's a chance that the government (or the banks) may see the cryptocurrency as a threat to them and in result they will not let the cryptocurrency be used on their own country. The reason you really represent the reason of all those who have been blinded by the bank, myself have the same reason but I'm still waiting for BTC to be accepted by every government and developed by us all. through several purchase transactions in a number of items or paying of services to enter the wider community, regarding the current government regulations it is still confusing so vigilance must be guarded.

An honest bitcoin is a money that I can set that I want. I can send my money to another wallet with my desire without some party to deal with it. I can pay any transaction with bitcoin as long as I can make it happens. In severel times I try to make bank account and honestly in my country to make an account I must come to the office. Other than that I must give all my identity to them if I don't have then I never create an account, it's horrible for me. This is time everyone should knows the cryptocurrencies and its function in their live, because it's very easy to set all our money in our wallet and also about security it's depends on our consciousness.

Fiat currency tends to have a lot of problems that can easily be solved in the future using this technology.

Bitcoin and crypto are giving you an alternative to banking and payment, from outside of the system. But its your choice to use it or know.

There is not an inherent dark side inside people, they decide by themselves, and they can decide not to harm as well. All you have to do is say no and thats it.

This creeping you mention is related to certain altcoins. Well, you have the choice not to use them. There is plenty of talk on this form about centralized altcoins and their weaknesses.

To provide sustenance for yourself and your family you still need to convert your coins to fiat at the end of the day. And how does it actually cut as being finally free and out of the "monopoly world" as you called it? Unless and until you can pay with crypto for goods and services directly (i.e. without an intermediary of any kind), you are still under the eye (and boot) of the Big Brother who can easily turn your life into hell if he chooses so, for example, by simply denying you access to fiat (via banks or otherwise). Then you starve and die, mission accomplished

In my opinion these two things, the Bank and also Cryptocurrency can work together and not even collapse each other. Because both of these things if we examine further have similarities and common goals. it's just on a different platform.

We need cryptocurrencies because we want to control and manage our own money and not by the third party like banks and else. We can use cryptocurrency for everything we want, and we can use it too as the investment. Cryptocurrency present was not to eliminate money, but it will help money to solve the problem that we face. Cryptocurrency can across the border in every country, and we can use cryptocurrency without converting to the local fiat. But unfortunately, this idea was not approved in all country, and only a few countries have approved cryptocurrency. But soon, it will approve in all country, and we can hope that will happen later.

I am not per se against banks, because I still can't rely solely on Bitcoin for my daily needs and bills. It's just not going to work for me to store physical cash under my bed year in year out. I wouldn't feel comfortable at all. I feel more comfortable to have an acceptable amount sitting in my bank accounts, while the majority of my wealth sits in Bitcoin.

I don't always need a censorship resistant form of conducting payments. Fiat has served me well locally and I don't see much to complain about here. Bitcoin complements fiat's ability to be a good form of local money. With Bitcoin I can send any amount to any country 24/7 and nothing can be done to stop me. No government or bank can touch even one single satoshi of mine in cold storage.

3-Entertainment: crypto casinos became a strong force on the industry. It improved gamblers experience through easy access, usage and transparency. For others, it's a way to earn money.

One of the things that make cryptocurrency something we really need, is it just not allow us as individuals freedom but companies and businesses mans, with banks and fiat in order to make a transaction and do some work it would take hours and sometimes even days for it to be processed, but with crypto sending money overseas is as easy as  clicking a button ,and that would make our lives much easier and more productive and would open up the world even more, crypto does to finance what internet did for the information.

We need crypto because is a fast way to send money via blockchain and is even faster than bank transfer and also not high fee when send like other processators.

I think the main reason is freedom in terms of transactions and also financial freedom. Honestly, it looks like when cryptocurrency and blockchain existed earlier in this industry and then technology or the digital era was growing rapidly which made banks have their own mobile version of course cryptocurrency and blockchain technology has advantages about this, so I think cryptocurrency is needed not just about a high price or value because there are many benefits that can be obtained from cryptocurrency.

It's impossible for all countries to ban Bitcoin, when there's three choices for governments to choose (ban, join, ignore/neutral). Banning it won't stop Bitcoin, just look at the other illegal things that are still big as of today.

There're more than 1 countries that currently banned Bitcoins or cryptocurrency but the impact wasn't noticeable because more people are starting to get in cryptocurrencies. The growth we get each year is outweighs those bans.

Everyone is free to argue about the institutions of government banks even though how badly the processing they do is especially in managing financial. We live in a world where government has existed before the cryptocurrency was created and sometimes the solution we all think is better there is a possibility that it has a worse effect for the security of a country.

Decentralization is one of the most common feature a crypto has but when it cones to privacy, I don't think so. Bitcoin, Ethereum and other crypto currencies has their own platforms but there are sites where you can look at a certain address and track their transactions. That is the reason privacy ia not one of them. In terms of bitcoin, we have the blockchain.info. For me, the most reason we need bitcoin is yes, the decentralization, and also the blockchain.

and in my opinion there are some reasons people need crypto. 
1. get instant and fast profits
2. transactions that are fast, safe and simple. 
3. free from the global economic crisis.

really? are you buying onions with crypto? are you selling produce for crypto? is any nation buying nuclear weapons with crypto? So how can you say that you are relying on crypto without any third party?

I need crypto currency because crypto trading and investment give me a lot of profit.  the crypto world satisfied me.  I can buy anything with crypto.  even though there are no merchants that accept crypto directly.  but converting crypto to national currency is enough.

People like their being decentralized currencies. In addition, cryptocurrency is more futuristic than today's currencies. It is digital and we won't need to carry money in our wallet.

Yes, many people misunderstanding about the terms and the existence of the cryptocurrency itself. If cryptocurrency exist and it can help our economic for being better then just let this thing flow. Cryptocurrencies are result of development of new technologies, they represent progress. Also people needed some alternative to traditional payment methods and to traditional economy and financial systems, to get the opportunity to step back from the banks and way they do their business, to have something that is decentralized and independent. We need crypto so we can have work xP Seriously how else will I be paid I will never accept paypal or some silly nonsense like that. For me, that is why I need crypto. I think its a pretty good reason.
I like earning in crypto through various methods and payment is quick. The one thing I do not like is waiting on bounty payments. We often wait too long. Luckily I diverse my invested time just like I diversify my crypto portfolio. Which brings me to my second point. I would not have investments if not for crypto. I stake coins and have done so for the past 2 years 24/7 PC running my wallets staking away. Made good money. It is difficult to break even but once you do its great.

This cryptocurrency made my life easier for paying bills, etc. But the best part is that we can perfectly monitor our own money with our digital wallets without going to the banks.
I don't need to pass many documents to the third parties. Also, it really amazed me that  I can make profits out of crypto tradings. Sometimes, this kind of technology makes me think that it is a blessing for me.

Everything is going digital as in literally everything is shifting towards technology and making our daily lives much easier. Traditional way of using money is already changing, physical stores are getting less and less sales and online shopping is booming!

we need "bitcoin" and possibly a handful of alternative cryptocurrenices (to be created in the future not the ones that exist) to offer us the freedom we wanted with decentralization, to cut the middleman and eliminate their corruption.
but we don't really need thousands of cryptocurrencies that are growing like mushrooms and do nothing else but waste resources and make a lot of newcomers bankrupt with their false advertisements and market manipulations.

Arguably existing bank system do convenient enough for people to easily transact money through many channels, is an service industry and comprehensive. But since crypto allow cross-border transactions super easy, it opens up new opportunities businesses. I would consider crypto is totally another side of concept when it comes to circulation, you are truly owning your crypto with no oracle levels, it gives you close to full anonymity. Owning fiat/crypto 50 50 seems like my projected future, of course the price is awesome and we would like the first adopters that gains most of the benefit of this rising technology.

cryptocurrency  is so revolutionary because it allows to exchange value directly between parties. It doesn’t require that these parties trust each another, or that they trust an intermediary. It replaces trust in central organizations with trust in source code.

Many reasons why we need cryptocurrencies in this world first is we can earn a lot of money without any tax, no government involve, no hassle, Only yourself can control your funds and i think that's the most important.

Satoshi Nakamoto was clearly pointing out that the goal of Bitcoin was to provide for an alternative P2P payment option that are not linked to centralized control and manipulation and Satoshi mentioned that in the Bitcoin Whitepaper and hinted at that with the message in the Genesis block.

I think Satoshi achieved that goal, because millions of people have used Bitcoin as a currency and they transfered and used money without having to go through any Bank or centralized financial institution like PayPal.  ;D

Electronic money I find necessary, because it makes us more convenient in transactions. Irrespective of keeping this national currency from another country. That is the trend of world currency, with modern and convenient style.

I admire the use of cryptocurrencies in making transactions based because of how fast and transparent it is. I have been a victim of making a transaction with the bank which took over a week to confirmed at the other end. Transactions through our banks would have to go through a whole lot of approvals before finally releasing the funds. This is not so with the use of cryptocurrencies, it's all freedom and i love it!

Cryptocurrency are modern currency, and cryptocurrency also have other functions as investments, and therefore cryptocurrency are very much needed.

There are literally a lot of reasons to use cryptocurrencies in the future because we have been ruled by government and banks for couple of years maybe like 500 years but still we can see they are just using us as a money making a cow. The main purpose of crypto currencies is that they are decentralized in nature. No one control them, bitcoin has limited supply so there is no inflation. The value of bitcoin will not decrease over the period of time in the long run.

And just by converting it, you are no longer supporting crypto, but rather boosting your countries GDP with the national fiat. That will never bring true adoption and crypto will always be unstable.
When I said this, I did not joke.. if you cannot buy onions and nukes with crypto, till then crypto is not really adopted by everyone.

Currently crypto may still be a commodity that is not yet popular, but it is when I am sure that everyone will need it.

Those who are tired of banks and other centralized sources of money can always turn to cryptocurrencies like bitcoin which are decentralized and can't be conrolled by any bank or government. Cryptocurrency gives you freedom financially so I think this is one of the reasons why people will need it. Earning from these virtual currencies are high if you compare it to the fiat where its value is always manipulated by the central banks.

If by cryptocurrency you understand mainly Bitcoin,  here you have a few reasons to use it:
- it is very safe (as long as you're using a hardware wallet)
- you don't need banks to make transactions, but only Internet
- Blockchain is bot centralized

when talking about cryptocurrency, this is something broad, and each coin has a different function. if there is a reason why we need it, I think it's because we need services from one crypto. like ETH, if you want to use it as a platform, or a fee payment transaction tool, and so on.

I completely agree with this. As much as cryptocurrencies now abound with many springing up each day, abuse, scams a s human tendencies also increase daily. Crypto gives freedom and some form of investment but are all cryptos safe?  I know for once that some crytpo projects have no use case or product. They're just there to raise funds list on a useless Exchange and disappear with investors funds. Those project must be avoided.

crypto offers a completely different society, and in theory it could relief the world of many parasites with power... I am also exited by all the endless possibilities of change - and we do need a ddep change in the world...

We don't say that we are quitting to used fiat just open for cryptocurrency, Satoshi makes this great invention because he found out that it could be very applicable into the new generation where we are today. We never force to used it but as we adopt the system, we actually enjoyed it and it brings a wonderful experience. We can make transaction anytime we want and it takes not so long before it finished. Maybe this is the reason Satoshi look for and decide to bring his invention to the public.

We can't deny the fact that everything in this world has its dark side and positive side. People who saw it's negative side are the people who still didn't believe with crypto they are still in the mindset of "scam". Let's always remember that without cryptocurrency we can't make our society more technologically oriented. Since we are in the era where everything should be online especially when it comes to transaction we need crytocurrency.

That is why I am putting my life savings on Bitcoin, even my child's future, lets assume BTC failed, I still have lands to grow crops so there is nothing to worry about. I am ready wherever it may lead me to. I can't just take anymore of the paper money shit, inflation and everything. We have our own choices to make, just as long it is legal, crypto is the best for me.

I'm not sure there have been a better technology after the invention of computer that compares to blockchain technology. The coming of crypto has brought back power to the masses and we truly decide what to do with our money instead of letting the banks manipulate the system

And it is also the reason of the government to ban or add more regulations to cryptocurrencies. They will lose control over our money if they allow us to use it freely. yes, so far we have been monopolized by banks and the government. we don't really have our own money. every time I receive a salary from my job always with taxes and I don't really feel the benefits of paying taxes, now some crypto investments make huge profits but are at very high risk. but who doesn't like this? I always see cryptocurrency as the new hope for a better world for the next generation. If only all the people around the world knows how shady the people in the bank industry do their evil deeds. There are also a lot of complaints of theft going on in several accounts but these banks don't really care to reimburse it unless it is shown in the media. That's a lot of money and we could never know if the banks did not really know anything about it.

Here in India, the banks are behaving very arrogantly nowadays. They are charging interest rates far higher than the repo rate on loans, and have recently implemented a number of additional charges on almost all the services (such as cash deposits and issuance of cheque book). However I won't complain about the theft of the funds. One of my friends fell victim to credit card scam, and the bank reimbursed the amount after one month. If you could prove that the theft was not due to your fault, then the bank usually reimburse the amount.

We need crypto because it is peer-to-peer. I mean, transactions are done only between parties involved. It does not have to go through a lot of parties which are not actually part of the actual transactions.
