Title: Investing in anonymous cryptocurrencies
Post by: pishite on June 02, 2019, 04:19:17 AM
Began to invest in inexpensive anonymous cryptocurrency: deeponion. I try to buy it while the price is quite low. But the question arises whether she will rise in price as a monero? Or maybe it is worth looking at other anonymous cryptocurrencies? Now the demand for anonymous cryptocurrency is growing, but why only for monero? I want to hear the opinion of every investor.

Will it reach Monero's price? I don't know. Only time and market will tell. The shutting down of mixing services recently may have added more demand into these privacy/anonymous coins.

I have not read anything about deeponion for a while now, any interesting recent developments that made you think there will be a high demand for it?
You can also consider this Veil coin.

I am a long investor of DeepOnion. I have had participated in the airdrop and earned a huge flow of money in that time.
However, I would not say it will perform same as Monero. Reaching $100 is far away. There's a lot of reason. DeepOnion is an airdrop coin, a lot of people have had huge amount of coins which is why the price is still $0.30, if you are thinking of long term holding like 2 years or more, I think within that period, $20- $50 is easy.
However, do your own research.

Recently they have changed their codebase from bitcoin and litecoin which is a good update. Stealth address is enabled, DeepSend works has been stared as well.

Veil is a scam project from some previous scammer. I can't give you the link right now because I can't remember where I had read the article.

thats why the demands always coming to this coins from the people who believe if anonymous crypto have a bright future buddy

Deeponion has no prospects. This coin was distributed through airdrop. The developers have already received in 2017 all the profits they wanted. Invest in new coins or monero. If someone somewhere wrote that veil scam, it does not mean that you need to believe. Do your research and make your own opinion.

Having a small purse of low market cap coins will not hurt you, then yes. Otherwise, focus on the main anonymous coins because their potential is more than mentioned coins. XMR is currently the best privacy coin for anonymous payments that can be more than the daily volume of small anonymous alternative coins.

Presently I'm not holding any privacy coin, but I once looked at GRIN due to the hype. I'm just skeptical because the one I bought got delisted on bittrex wayback for non compliance.

DeepOnion is great because of it's large and growing community. It is hard to compete with Monero for privacy but the price per onion is currently very low and it has the potential to multiply (unlike other privacy coins), especially because it is listed on many exchanges including kucoin

Choose a coin that you think will have a potential because about a price it will go on over time. If you think the anynomous coin has had a lot of demand from crypto user then you can choose as a reason. I believe that every coin having a different function each other, it's not mean the coin was created to make anynomous from its user will have a same function with the other anynomous coin.

I have both of these coins. Different people at different times accused of scam both of these coins. But no one has proven it so far. It is unlikely that they have the same strength as the Monero, but the potential is definitely there, ...even if all these coins are scams ;D. Teams are active, they are doing something, and projects will not die in the coming months, perhaps years.

If you accuse of fraud, provide evidence or don't blame them w/o proofs.

There's lots of reason why a said project will grow around this industry, if the team behind DeepOnion are ambitious same a like with those who's behind Monero project, there's nothing who can stop the potential that it will also follow  the track on how Monero succeed, learn more about your investment and keep yourself updated.

You can also check other projects with the same concept and see how it will be differ from the two coins that you mentioned.

look, that you cannot even guarantee every single crypto investment since it is not a risk free investment. every single trade made in the market have so many risks, so if you want, just expect ur investment will have the rise as monero coin.

Better research how much airdrop this coin has been given.

You might be buying an amount which is lower than those who got free coins. That will be unfair right?
Why would you buy it while some of the people just got it for free?

In my opinion, I wont invest with those types of coins.
Also, I though expensive coins is somewhere like ETH and Bitcoin. That will be a sure investment for a long run. Not even a little doubt for me.

Anonymous cryptocurrencies were a thing back in the day.Nowadays nobody cares about that feature.Everything is about making money and pump+dump. If privacy was the biggest feature, coins like monero should've been way popular than bitcoin and with a way higher price.
I really doubt that this deeponion coin will reach the monero price.

A project that provides too much via airdrop will there be good future? I don't always like projects that release too much airdrop and bounty, it shows the project lacks financial resources and must use airdrop to promote. a project with weak financial resources will be very difficult to succeed.

Before we determine the choice of investment in cryptocurrency, we should understand its basic nature. Buy when the lowest price, in the hope of experiencing a rise in high prices. The point is very simple, namely looking for profit. What we need is intention, thoroughness, patience and effort. And of course must be prepared with all the risks that exist.

There are so many anonymous cryptocurrencies at the moment. If you're interested in checking out a couple you could try Horizen (formerly Zencash), any of the 'z' coins (like Zcash, Zclassic, Zcoin and so on) or veil which is a fairly new project.

I think people just put a lot of value in being able to send and spend without traceability, and a lot of projects are trying to make the most of that.

We have that different choice and investing monero is not the last option we should have to take. We can't tell that Deeponion will grow more just like it happen to monero. But the fact that we are depending on the market demand, we can't exactly say that only monero did it will today. A lot of potential coin at CMC, maybe should have to take a look at them and find another coin that will give you more profits rather than of sticking into monero or deeponion.

Previously I invested in Monero. Monero is now one of the most popular altcoins because of its very good growth lately. Why don't you invest in a definite altcoin like this monero. Why should you invest in an altcoin that is not yet clear in the future it will grow.

heard of this coin in 2018 where alot of people made money from the airdrop. its a good hodl for a very long term profiting. its one that will do well on the long run but it requires a lot of patience and follow up. as applicable also to other coins.

We don't know if deeponion can increase as monero because every altcoin will have the same opportunity to increase, especially when the bull market comes. I think that if you want to buy deeponion, you should analyze first as usual so you can get a low price and I think right now deeponion price was not too high to buy.

But for me, I invest in monero, and I do not yet buy deeponion, and perhaps if I can see the price can get down again, I think I will buy some amount of deeponion. But that will depend on how much the price can get down because it is not good to buy the coin if the price still up and down like today.

I used to do it as well, I invested into something called xspectre if I am not wrong, it has been a while since I took a look at it and I personally can tell you it doesn't really have that much difference from any other coin in terms of how it goes up and down. The one I invested was going down when the whole market went down and was going up when the whole market went up so the fact that it was a privacy coin had nothing to do with the coins price.

Of course, there is more chances to develop the coin because the more privacy oriented it becomes the more attention it can get from people looking for privacy and ever since I stopped checking out the coin they built even more stuff but after all of that the reality is that the coin itself wasn't that different from any other coin for a regular investor.

If the project proves that their coin is better or at least on par with Monero, then the price should go up. However, this may not happen, sometimes this market is unpredictable.

Anonymity is the main reason of cryptocurrencies to get popular in very short and so anonymous coins will always have a special place in the future if cryptocurrency is going to be the payment system in future but not all the kinds will take a place so just by the right coin or you will face losses.

They have features of hybrid protocol that can let you stake anf mine simultaneously. I wonder if you have time to check this in youre prospect list.

I would keep my distance on those anonymous crypto for good. It's okay for a short term trade but not for long term. It's very clear that the US government or the SEC and kept stating the fact that the full anonymity is what they don't approved. Those coins will just be banned in the future.

Monero is not bad anonymous coin and has been pretty much in the news lately. According to an analysis, the price is likely to touch $120 in the end of 2019 and maybe early than that. The current price is great for those who have been having the anonymous coin owned at a low cost of investment. So yeah, if you do not have one already, you need to have one.

The answer is that you must see the progress of the project's construction, whether they work continuously or not. And if you compare it to why it's not as valuable as Monero, then consider having lots of altcoin like BTC, but why doesn't it increase like BTC?

Honestly, I don't believe in anonymous crypto currencies. For me, anonymous crypto currencies give a sign that an ICO project is not responsible properly. As a responsible project, of course, give a clear name so that when there is a violation of the law, it is courageous to take responsibility. I feel that only stupid people want to invest in crypto currencies with an anonymous identity. Following an anonymous crypto currency means that we are wasting time on results that cannot be ascertained. I can't believe in anonymous crypto currencies. I prefer to take the safe path to not follow everything without identity.

The rise and fall in price of cryptos in general is usually facilitated by news and also pump and dump groups in the crypto space and this is why you don't have to keep holding your coins when they rise to a certain level because it may surely correct one day.

Your investment in anonymous cryptocurrencies should answer two questions: time and amount. If You think it is necessary to have a particular coin, then determine the amount. It should not bother you if you do not achieve what you want. And your time. You invest and wait patiently for the price increase, or actively trade. Good luck.

Not sorely holding if you can trade and be profitable.
Holding is good but should be for long term, but while you are holding, you can also enjoy the opportunity to trade in the bull market.

Monero is a well-established cryptocurrency with a solid development team. Dash also offers anonymous transactions, and soon Litecoin will be integrating confidential transactions as well. The MimbleWimble protocol is also a competitor. One problem with this niche is the saturation, so I'd go with the strongest names with built-in scarcity. Privacy coins are not my preference, though if I had to choose I'd go with Monero.

Monero has been a lot of traders and investors fomo for a long time, it is the same as ETH in previous years. Those who go ahead often get great rewards and we should understand this rule.
But I still do not understand how anonymous electronic money is it used? Is it really useful?
Not long ago I read some articles saying that at some exchange it was hacked because Monero did not guarantee transparency when trading. Since then it has revealed openings and hackers will easily find exchange.
So what strength is the bright future in these currencies?

Anonymous cryptocurrencies are really in demand among enthusiasts. Just look at the charts Monero, Dash, Zcash, etc. Perhaps Deeponion, Veil and other new anonymous coins will someday be able to replicate the success of their older brethren.

In addition to these anonymous cryptocurrencies, there are other equally popular ones. For example, Verge which is also positioned as an anonymous cryptocurrency, it is quite popular, traded on well-known exchanges, and its developers are active. In addition, I recommend to pay attention to the cryptocurrency PIVX, which in my opinion is also very promising.

From what I can recall when I first started in crytpto currency way back 2017, deeponion was there and until now, deeponion remained to be that inexpensive altcoin. no significant growth but stable in price rallies. If you are thinking of investing in altcoins, I suggest you go with a more stable-blue chip currencies like Lite or maybe JNB (that thing is making a skyrocket anytime soon). But if you are looking for something more stable, but with less growth, USDT can be an option.

Cryptos are created to anonymous and to stay without anyone control.

Please check such kind of coins to invest and make money out of it as the long term investment.

There are plenty of new coins from the names of firms and etc do not create a noise for long term.

I think anonymous cryptocurrencies are not bad. The only problem is that exchanges don't really like them. And if you need to pass KYC to an exchange, the anonymity is very limited.
DeepOnion did have its success. Now, its value is very low like other altcoins. People prefer Monero because it is the most known anonymous coin.

I think the potential of any coin to grow or to the extent that it's growth will surpass it's counterpart depends on what the team is bringing to the table. That is, what major updates are they offering? Etc. I think these are what matters. Also, while predicting the future price of any coin remember to take volatility into account.

When it comes to anonymity coins monero and dash are the leaders, so whenever there is an interest in these kind of coins the leaders get most of the investment, this is not exclusive to anonymity coins and in fact happens in all the markets, look at exchanges, there are hundreds of them but most new customers go to exchanges like binance and coinbase, and this happens as well in Google where most of the clicks go to the 2 links at the top of your search query.

Because people will always recognize hold and first of them, which I think monero will be the first of these type of coin, bitcoin is also anonymous coin but now that we are talking of alts, I don’t think there is any other coin in this category that will beat monero for its privacy.

Deep onion won’t be bad because they also look very popular to me, so they still got the hype they will make their value increase more in the next few years, especially during the nest bull run, so I think it won’t be a bad idea if you put your investment in deeponion, but whatever investment you are considering, always make bitcoin come first.

I do not exactly why there is the demand for only Monero despite the market having many anonymous coins like Deeponion, veil among others. I think Monero is just the old and already established coin like bitcoin. If a coin wins the heart of investors, it continues to become popular over time. There are many coins like bitcoin or better than bitcoin, but bitcoin has remained popular so far.

you can't know about a coin if you hadn't make proper investigations and research on them. Deeponion has no prospects. This coin was distributed through airdrop. The developers have already received in 2017 all the profits they wanted. Invest in new coins or monero. If someone somewhere wrote that veil scam, it does not mean that you need to believe. Do your research and make your own opinion.
Exactly. I also had a thought to buy deeponion but then i realized that thats not good idea cause like you said - developers already received profit .
But anyway that project is pretty good. Someone has tried to use their wallet?

First of all , I would say that, this is a bad decision.
Secondly if you have enough money to invest in those shitcoins, then better use your brain.
You need to first understand why the price of a coin increases.
Like if the trading volume is more, then only the price increases.
So how come the trading volume of anonymous currencies will increse?
Use your brain and never invest in anonymous ones.

Because monero is anonymous cryptocurrency like deeponion and that is why people are comparing between monero and deeponion. But it still needs a long time before deeponion can be the next anonymous coin and beat monero because monero still get popularity than deeponion. Besides that, monero price still at a high price depends on deeponion. Yes, bitcoin still the king for the cryptocurrency and no coin can beat bitcoin until now.

Privacy coins are an important part of the crypto ecosystem... the discussion on why we need privacy is an old and long one, but anonymity is just something that should be standard if crypto want's to someday work as substitute money (bills are anonymous)
Monero has a strong tech and a development team that is always updating and working... up to date it is the most solid privacy tech...
Onion seems to be stalling a bit, but maybe this my fault because I am not up to date
other new privacy coins like Veil or Beam also offer a very good alternative with high potential
(do your own research, the world is full of void advises and warnings)

Anonymous cryptocurrencies were a thing back in the day.Nowadays nobody cares about that feature.Everything is about making money and pump+dump. If privacy was the biggest feature, coins like monero should've been way popular than bitcoin and with a way higher price.
I really doubt that this deeponion coin will reach the monero price.
I appreciate you I think privacy coin are not the priority of people engaged in cryto market they just want quick profit. they dont even care about the Feature of the coin, And the people associated with the project.they just want easy profit and exit from that coin.
Ex Bitcoin how manipulation work in the Bitcoin in couple of seconds price bitcoin dump or pump upto 1000$.

I have not read anything about deeponion for a while now, any interesting recent developments that made you think there will be a high demand for it?
Recently they have changed their codebase from bitcoin and litecoin which is a good update. Stealth address is enabled, DeepSend works has been stared as well.

Quote
You can also consider this Veil coin.
Veil is a scam project from some previous scammer. I can't give you the link right now because I can't remember where I had read the article.

Really? I wish to get the link though. Its good one knows and believe in the coin he/she buys to avoid heartbreaks at the end. Well, buying a coin isn't for me now, am still recovering from past experiences.

Every token or coin has different characteristics. It doesn't mean that one coin will rise up and the other should rise up also. It depends on the number of people who have the altcoin and how strong is the token/coin at the market. It depends also on the team and investors of that coin on how they handle the marketing and promotion of the altcoin. There are so many factors to consider.

I don’t use any of these coins, because whatever transaction that I want to do, Bitcoin has already covered it up for me and If I am looking for investment coins, we have lots of them in the market, I just go to Binance being the most reliable exchange to research on some of the top ones that they have.

Maybe it is best for you to focus on the trend instead of taking the risk of investing in cheap coins because you feel like they are going to gain attention at anytime and then boom. Cryptocurrency is a risk and this time around is no longer it is before, now most altcoins don't get to survive, so if you're buying because it is cheap you might end up losing everything. Some people these days all they do is join pump groups and they will be pumping and dumping coins,  that's making it worst everywhere. You might see the price upping and you will think it is time, before you know it,  it gets dumped and the price falls.

I can not agree with you. Why is bitcoin or ethereum not anonymous? The demand is currently increasing for all cryptocurrencies including and anonymous.Regarding Monero, the situation is more than obvious.Just for this coin everyone knows.
The fact is that no one can use cryptocurrency anonymously, because one way or another the state will take part in one or another field of activity of those companies with which each user of cryptocurrency will deal.  There are a lot of nuances, including taxation.  Based on this, anonymous cryptocurrency in general will eventually lose relevance.

The fact is that today cryptocurrency gives very good hopes for many users of cryptocurrency and will therefore be in demand not only now, but also in the future.  And as to whether an anonymous coin or not, it will depend on the speculators and the demand for this coin in the market.

Manner is the ancestor of this type of cryptocurrency. As well as bitcoin is the progenitor of all cryptocurrencies. Now the price of the cue ball is huge , I think the same will happen with Monero. But this does not mean that the price of other anonymous cryptocurrencies will not rise.

Now there are new promising tokens of projects.  I invested myself in exchange tokens and wait for the exchange to start working at full capacity.  Time will tell whether I invested correctly or not.  A good example of Binance (BNB), the price has gone up very well.  So I will wait for the results.  There are many examples, it is necessary to study projects and investments can bring income in the future.

You have begun to invest in the Deeponion project.  For you, there is a thread of discussions about this project.  Maybe you should read and discuss this with other forum participants.  In any case, good luck with your investments.  View this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2057229.0

Bitcoin is easily traceable with help of blockchain and various online tools. Even nodes can be dechipered if there was a strong case. Anonymous cryptos are future of online payments for some sections of business. Ethereum will not be able to give same returns, unfortunately.

I think it's because Monero's shadow is too big. like BTC and the altcoins now. As you can see, the altcoins actually have transaction fee levels much lower than BTC and the processing time of blocks is much faster. But why do many people still choose hold BTC?
It is due to its greatness. Whoever believes in BTC while ETH is a much more reliable and much better business.
This is considered a rule of the market, we should get used to it.

From my own understanding, Monero is known as the original privacy coin, that is it paved way for other privacy coins. Even at this, I believe there are other privacy coins offering more potentials but with Monero being the first it will be hard for another to over take it.
In the same way, if upcoming privacy coins will begin to Implement more features that are found lacking in Monero I think they will able to get attention from people.

Anonymous cryptos are safer than normal transactions and it protects the  source, outgoing wallet information. Investors should understand the reason why anonymous cryptos are popular.

Many coins are positioned as anonymous, but this is true if you do not withdraw them through the exchange. Or you want to exchange coins for regular money. Complete anonymity is impossible to achieve.

The Deeponion is a very underrated coin. No one talks about it, but after Monero, Zcash, and Pivx, Deeponion is my favorite privacy coin! Monero investors are happy enough with the XMR growth! After India banning cryptocurrency, Anonymous coins usage will increase this time. So, you may invest in these currencies!

Everything seems just because monero is the most popular coin. deeponion - I also look narrowly at this coin and I will probably invest in it.

Deeponion's prices are currently far below the highest prices. Indeed monero is a popular coin for anonymous coins and very reasonable the price is more expensive. But if DeepOnion is traded on a large exchanger, maybe DeepOnion will be better known

Cryptocurrency investors want at least some percentage of guarantee that they will return their funds and ideally gain profit. Deeponion with $3 million market cap against Monero with a market cap more than $1.5 billion is a less reliable investment. Because a small market cap is more subject to volatility. On the other hand, the gains are larger as well. Deeponion is for risk-taker-investors option.
The biggest concern regarding deeponion coin is unknown founders. This altcoin just can’t compete with such heavyweights as monero and dash with a market cap of each is over $1 billion.
Deeponion does not propose any unique technology or something like that. I doubt it will overtake monero or dash in the nearest future.

I think everytime you will invest into something, you should first all the information about the project. It should not be anonymous. It should be transparent. Everything anonymous, in my opinion, is very much risky and unsafe. I've heard about deeponion and monero but I'm more familiar with the latter and based on what I've heard monero is way more better than deeponion.

monero is good as it has become a major crypto so it is more safe when you want more privacy and trust in crypto as there is manipulation in market. Other privacy crypto may not able to get user attention and they don't have big community around them to protect the price.

Investing in anonymous cryptocurrencies in long term is tricky, I think. Crypto enthusiasts and black market dwellers love anonymous coins but governments specially hate them, much hater than other coins. So many anonymous but I only see XMR, ZEC or Komodo valuable. Don't fall for anonymous-hyped trash coins like XVG.

yes, the lack of attention to anonymous cryptocurrency has made its growth not as good as Monero, which already has many fans, so as long as the coin has high popularity, the coin will definitely have the ability to soar

Honestly, I don't like buying anonymous crypto currencies. Buying anonymous crypto currencies means putting ourselves at risk of loss and poverty. In my opinion, it's better to buy crypto currencies that are clearly potential and have a good name on the market. Buying unclear crypto currencies is like waiting for an uncertain hope. We must have a smart strategy in playing crypto currencies so that we are not trapped in unprofitable anonymous coins. However, each person has their own right to buy the coins they want, even though they include anonymous crypto currency coins.

I have no doubt that privacy coins will be a big hit once regulation hits at FULL force.

Look into XSN who are building the first multi currency wallet with TOR-integration. This means that your IP can't be traced on the blockchain. Mimblewimble will be added later this year, which will make all your transactions completely anon.
1-click lightning transactions will be added as well to the wallet - This means that once UDST moves to lightning you can tether up inside your own wallet for a FRACTION of the cost you're paying in transaction fees to centralized exchanges right now.

Let that sink in fellas ;)

That's very difficult to think all about investing to those promising coins but old. I just wonder to invest on those small valued coins and yet having bigger community. Possible growth for the future price could be booming if their crypto approach isn't going to hype the market. Unlike those previous old coins that has huge profitable gains, but possible hype could arise when there's increasing demand.

By anonymous cryptocurrency you mean privacy coins right.  I'm a fan of privacy coins but stopped holding for long term after one I was holding got delisted on Bittrex and price dipped massively. Monero remains king of privacy coins but some newer ones portray dual consensus algorithm and zerocoin protocol,  not focusing solely  on privacy but also speed and reduced fees. The likes of GRIN .

In investing, all you do is to take risks. You do not know what will happen in future but you anticipate that things will turn out to be well. Don't invest all your money in one coin, you can spread your investment among five or more coins. This way some loses will be covered up for.

Even if we look at Monero and DeepOnion in the same category, of course these two things have essentially different interests. If there are indeed 2 coins that are almost the same, it's better to choose those who have better volumes / larger communities.

Investing in crypto doesn't matter whether it is anonymous or not. What is needed is the crypto community to accept it and use it. Binance exchange is a good example; when it came, there were already some existing exchanges but when they introduced their coin and trade fees reduced to 50% when charged in their native coin, people liked it and used it for that purpose and price began to rise up and up till we see now. It's all about the community accepting your ideas and using your coins. As i do say, every crypto can be used to pay for goods and services but that is not the case.

First, before buying any coin you need to know the team plan for the coin, that is, their laid down plans etc. So if deepcoin team meets or satisfy your curiosity then go for it.
Secondly, yes the need for privacy coins is rising fast and not only for Monero. I think the reason why Monero is still getting the attention is because it is the first privacy coin; but even at that there are upcoming privacy or anonymous coins now that are worth the attention. Therefore don't be limited by Monero, check other coins too and see if they satisfy your curiosity.

I believe that it is very dangerous to enter into small obscure altcoins. Of course, their price may increase by several times, but as a rule, the volume of such projects on the market is very small and you often do not have time to get out of such a project, you remain in a big minus. If there is a desire, but now I would have looked narrowly at OCEAN, the price is small and the team plows with all and keeps all its promises ...

One thing that is sure in this crypto market is what backs the coin and that is what will drive the price either up or down. When a coin is backed by a good use case and team, it will surly go up and vice versa.
Secondly, talking about privacy coins, recently there have been some of them coming up with each offering unique features, I really think Privacy coins will rule this market in the near future.
Therefore I will suggest you look at the coin is backed by then making a good decision.

Not really have to believe nor giving a trust into unknown coins cause mostly it never show pumps if it won't be in hypes. Yeah right anonymous coins are no longer attractive to invest their money for anyone here, we have so many better options which we have seen since long growing in the market, price are good for those coin, we are aware for the historical progress so this way I am agree with you it is good for an investor to stick with single coin than trying new coin and anonymous coin.
