I bought altcoins a while back. Example coins such as waves and powerledger.  I also have bitcoin cash from the fork etc. 


I bought altcoins back then thinking hey if btc goes up, altcoins will go up more.  Of all the altcoins i ever bought, not one altcoin I have is higher than the current price i bought it at.  Every coin i bought whether it was the huge bull run or before it, such as waves, I'm down money.  Well technically not down as most of these coins, i just hold.  I did sell some though.  The only coin i did buy that is up now is litecoin... but i have none of that now because i sold those a while back.  That's right the one altcoin i sold would be in profit now. 


Also if you look at the prices with bitcoin, its like many of the altcoins i hold, they are not even going up compared to bitcoin at all.  They are either same price or dropping.  Does anyone here think its best to sell all your altcoins for btc?  I heard tons of things about waves.  Yet nothing happening to the price except going down.


Also when i say altcoins, i know it means every other coin but bitcoin.  But i mean specifically like those altcoins that are not in the top 20.  I mean when you look at ETH, bitcoin cash, litecoin, i think these are legit as prices correlate to btc price.  But if you look at those altcoins especially that is not in top 50 for example, many prices have dropped.  I bought coins where price is still down 90% or so.


Now if you say yes, what about bitcoin cash?  Or say bitcoin sv or bitcoin gold? 


Because the more i think about it, if cryptocurrency goes up very high, well it seems like there's only a few coins only that could do that?  Thus bitcoin, litecoin, eth, bitcoin cash, dash, monero or say bitcoin sv?  I heard ripple is centralized so can't imagine it being the standard.  I mean if there were only 3 coins left... what would that list have to be?  I would figure its bitcoin, bitcoin cash and litecoin.  If i had to include a few more, probably ETH and Dash.


I back then also wanted to get coins like funfair, edgeless and a few other altcoins.  But now when i look at it, isn't it basically throwing money away?  I think if i were to buy more crypto now, the only coin i would buy is bitcoin, litecoin or bitcoin cash.  Maybe dash and monero. .

I think this strategy or step is not right, Move all altcoins to Bitcoin. Actually it's good if you want to have bitcoin assets, but it's better to share a few percent for altcoins and the rest for Bitcoin. If for all, it might be profitable and even possible to suffer losses.

i do not prefer BTC on altcoins, but not all altcoins, i am hodling ETH, NEO, IOTA, and from small caps VIDT, ISR, REPO, i think that in the long run, if development is on the route these will be better options to hold than BTC in term of profit

Sell your altcoins only if the price of altcoin in BTC is higher than the price was at ATH price to prevent the loose. But currently only Litecoin or BNB fulfill these requirements.  8)

Am not in support of that in selling of altcoin for bitcoin because I believe some of the the altcoin you are holding now is going to be a greater asset for you in future.

If I had this opportunity, I would sell all the coins that aren't in the TOP. But the problem is that simply no one buys them. What should I leave? This are  BTC,ETH, EOS

It depends on which strategy you will use if you are a long runner then just wait for your moment...

I also bought waves on its peak, and sold them at a lost.  One thing though, if you believe on the project and does not need money badly, hodl.  Patience always gives a better reward just make sure to be always updated.

too many questions, but I will answer one. if I could buy only three coins, then I would buy bitcoin, eos and some other one of the top 100-200 coins. it would take more time to select the third coin

I won't advice you sell all your Altcoin for bitcoin but majority of your bags should be in bitcoin. The only reason most altcoin moon is because after a successful mooning season with bitcoin, short term investors in their numbers takes profit and buy some altcoin now that won't be the case this year and if you had done some research or have some experience in the crypto-ecosystem you would had be aware of this by now. I call it the halving effect.

Bitcoin majorly will be making the headline (price gain) for a while might be until a year or two after the halving event then the altcoin season will kick in. I'm not saying altcoin generally won't experience gains during this time, they'll but much attention won't be given to them and only selected fews will benefit. The focus right now is on bitcoin and Litecoin due to the halving effect.

This days when I consider investing in altcoin generally i try to invest in unique altcoin that or that'll actually have a utility purpose not just price gains. so if I was to suggest some coins I'll suggest you get your hands on some bitcoins (majority), Litecoin's and possibly DGTX (long term) then maybe put some spare funds in other projects based on your research. Not a financial advice though.

For ill think that was not a good idea for now because some altcoins are in dip price, So if we change to bitcoin maybe we can get only a small amount of btc. But it depend os us if we want change it or now and if the altcoins we have is going become a shitcoins juts change it to btc before its to late.

I think it would be ideal if you could diversify your portfolio as much as possible and not put all your funds in one asset only. This practice protects your investments from the high volatility of cryptocurrencies including BTC. We should also remember that some altcoins are very promising and has technological features not found in BTC which is the reason they are attractive to most members of the crypto community. Imho.

well here is the deal  that has been happening for many years:
- if you are investing in bitcoin and want to have more bitcoin:
then investing in altcoins is a foolish thing because altcoins in long term have always lost value against bitcoin. so for instance if you invest 1BTC in altcoins, in a year that 1BTC can turn into 0.3BTC with a 70% loss.
in short term however, they are excellent as long as you are OK with pump and dumps. you can invest 1BTC in a shitcoin that is getting pumped and get 10BTC out (with a high risk) in less than a day.


- if you are investing your fiat and want to have more fiat:
then investing in altcoins is still a bad idea but not the worst thing. historically all altcoins drop in very long term but some of them in medium term can keep their USD value. for example if you invest 1000$ in altcoins you can turn that into $1400 in a year but the problem is that you are missing out on bitcoin rise meaning if you invested that $1000 in bitcoin then it would have turned into $2000 at least.

for example take ETH that people are so hot about for some reason that i can never understand! and compare it with bitcoin:
this year bitcoin has gone up from $3500 to $9000 and
ETH this year has gone up from $150 to $270 meaning from 0.042BTC to 0.028BTC
now imagine you invested $1000 in bitcoin. that would have been 0.286BTC which is currently worth $2500+
if you invested $1000 in ETH, that would have been 6.66 ETH which is now worth $1700+ that means you could have missed $800 just by making a bad investment. which is why i said it is not the worst idea.
BUT if you bought bitcoin (0.286BTC) and invested THAT in ethereum that would have given you the same amount of ETH (6.66) which is currently translates into 0.18648BTC.
in other words if you invest your bitcoin in altcoins you LOSE money because your 0.286BTC investment is now 0.18648BTC which is missing about 0.1BTC of it which is a 35% loss


now the funny part of all this is that most people do exactly that. they buy bitcoin with their fiat and then go on some altcoin exchange like Binance and use that bitcoin to buy altcoins. then they start building something that they call "portfolio" and then look at its USD value in total thinking they are gaining money while they are actually losing a lot of money due to bad investment decisions. it just shows positive USD returns because bitcoin price went up!!!

Depends on the type of altcoin really, I wouldn't mind keeping some ethereum and eos and even a bit of tron in my account and they seem to gain a bit more attraction, plus I am looking really hard on IOTA these days as well because they were really known and loved by everyone for a long time but there hasn't been any talks about them for a while now so if I buy right now and they do another hype about IOTA, I could probably profit from it.

However, if you mean coins like powerledger or waves then you may prefer to keep your coins on bitcoin, wave is not that bad and could be decent if you want to keep it but powerledger is really not needed at all on your portfolio, specially not bitcoin cash since its basically "fake bitcoin" and nothing else. So if you want to buy something with your useless powerledger and bitcoincash but not sure about bitcoin then just go with ethereum.

I too realized investing in a new coin and looking for a x10 rise or something is more risk than investing in proven crypto at lows and selling them in highs.
Yes, it's better to diversify your holdings but it's the top 10 coins that would provide you a good profit if you know when to move with the market.

Bitcoin's price growth is very fast this year but altcoin has slowed down a little.
according to my predictions the new altcoin will rise slowly and maybe the end of the year prices will improve.

You should not choose only the top 10. You can allocate 10 percent of your deposit to invest in coins from the top 1000.  choose 20-30 projects

it looks like the strategy you are using is not going well. try to learn more about these coins and how the prospects for the future. yeah if you want to invest it on altcoin because if btc goes UP altcoin sometime goes down, so spread the money you invest in bitcoin and altcoin maybe the comparison can be 50% bitcoin and 50% altcoin.

Too many coins will ruin our profits too so din't keep investing small amount of money into many projects like you mentioned 10% for 30 projects.But the coinmarket cap value is not a reference for which coin to choose so the golden gem maybe even maynot be found at top 100 as well.

From that choice we know also how to go forward because even though a 10 percent deposit will be at risk so analyzing will be more important.

sell altcoin and buy bitcoin when high bitcoin can be a good choice. your strategy is when you get profit from bitcoin you have to go back to buying a little bit of altcoin with your profits and selling at a high price, so you can still get profits from altcoin

If I sell cheap altcoins at the moment and buy bitcoin when prices are expensive now, I think that's a bad step to take, I believe that some of my altcoins will return to have good value when the bitcoin price really touches the highest price later, one again I'm not interested in XRP

It is better not to sell Altcoins now, but to buy them on the contrary, because now Altcoins are very promising and should grow in the future

What's your basis in the first place? because Bitcoin's price is going up and you must go with the flow and disregard your plans with your altcoins? then I feel pity for you because cryptocurrency market isn't suitable for softhearted and emotional people.

I do not see any sense in this at all,since altcoins are now in the drawdown from X5-100,and bitcoin is only 2 times,that's the point say??? Well, converting the altcoins to be Bitcoin may be a good way in order to decrease the chance for falling. However, we should also know exactly what altcoins better to convert to BTC. If bitcoin is your choice and selling altcoins is the last resort then why not? But as for me altcoin is also profitable as what bitcoin do and all we have to do is to think wisely about investment since the fact about investment is that not 100% sure for quick profit.

Bitcoin dominance will not let the altcoin season to start and make the altcoin lovers rich. It will take time at least for 2 years to see stable growth. The stability is still the biggest problem but volatility also help Bitcoin to gain more attraction.

I don't mind XRP is worthy to be use as investment place since there are a lot of stable coin came who has a same function with XRP. Such as libra coin, if you use libra coin you will anything such you use XRP, you can money easily with the little fee and you can use libra coin as payment system which is if this coin has been lounched then there are many merchant who accept it as payment system. So as, I don't think XRP is still worthy to be use as investment place.

It will not be a good decision if you sell all of your altcoins for bitcoin. Theory of wise investment said do not put your eggs in one basket. And this is the real reminder for you, because if you invest all of your money on bitcoin, when its down you will lose everything at once. That is so danger.

Try to look BNB (binance coin) and compare with bitcoin, which one is grow higher?

Selling all altcoins for bitcoin is risky. Maybe it is good to divide it equally so even it lose its price, you atill have profit. Also, if it raises its price you will have a higher profit. The best is hold some and sell some. Risking all the cryptos might give you regrets.

In the current market trend and other scenarios with cryptocurrencies, it's taking lot of time for projects to get fully developed. Even if development is done, a solid userbase is required to operate the project with full functionality.
So, point here is, genuine projects altcoins should be hold for very long term. Altcoins for which we don't see a good future in near term, should be sold out to buy btc.

great strategy is to sell all of your altcoins and invest in bitcoin because bitcoin price is so low today so I'm sure that when the price rises it will cost you money.

selling all of my altcoins and investing in bitcoin will never do so because the price of bitcoin continues to decline and nobody can say if the price is higher, so you have the possibility to lose if you invest in it.

Most of my altcoins are priceless and i had plan to sell them and put my investment into bitcoin i had seen bitcoin is continue rising up even little by little i think this is the good sign of bitcoin for the recovery hopefully bitcoin in this year will make bull run.

The value of Bitcoin is unpredictable because every day this coin is highly volatile and it is difficult to determine what will happen next in the market. What I can trust most is that Bitcoin will grow even higher this year because people are more inclined to invest in this market and with Facebook's participation in the last few weeks it is possible to see potential and power of this market will be very good in the near future. I personally hold a large amount of Bitcoin and will keep it until 2030 because I believe Bitcoin will be the most valuable coin in human history.

It's a good idea to sell your altcoins To bitcoin  whenever Btc is moving up, in some cases cutting loss is better so as not to get rekt because almost all altcoins will dip whenever bitcoin is moving up, it's not advisable to sell when bitcoin is dipping though

I would not do that i will not sell all my altcoins to put all my investment into bitcoin, we do not know or predict what happen the price of bitcoin as i said crypto prices is volatility. we have to split our investment so that all our capital would not gone at all.

Maybe that's true but depend on altcoin that you hold. There are many shitcoin on this crypto world, just give a short term profit and its price continue to down even we will the token will not have a price anymore. Bitcoin is the best investment place on crypto world, I believe there is no anyone who will find a huge loss with one note he has a high patient. Indeed, to devide the capital that you have is most important but you need to consider the place will you choose.

It's okay, maybe in the long term, Bitcoin will do good. But what about the possibility of any altcoin that might be 10x as a Bitcoin pair? Considering the long term is not a bad thing always.

I also ever thought about only buying Bitcoin because I think that BTC is the only crypto that will give me great worth and profits. However, after learning by doing, I get some things. There are also found some altcoins that are valuable to support. Well, I know that it will not be so many. But for now, I really love XZC and SBTC for trading, but I still think twice for long term investment.
I still have ETH, XRP, and XLM and I think I will not convert it to BTC right now.
And yes, for other new coins, I really hope that I want to convert it to BTC as soon as possible.

Altcouns has it's own season, the time is coming when goo altcoins will move along with coin, if you want to sell your altcoins for btc you should have done that when bitcoin was still low let's say when it was 3k, this is not the right time to sell alt for btc.

I don't think it is a good idea to sell all altcoins for bitcoin, as nobody knows what would happen in future, but i firmly believe that altcoins would pump hard it is a matter of time.

The season of altcoins will come to us soon, because the season of bitcoin has come nearly to its end. It is so ridiculous to ask "Sell All Altcoins for Bitcoin", like the written OP. In contrast, now it is time to aks an opposite question: Is it time to sell all bitcoin for altcoins (good altcoins)? I think the latter question make more sense in current phase of crypto market. How long has bitcoin started its bull run? More than 6 months, that is long enough to hit its turning point, from which bitcoin domination will fall and altcoins will see their own season.

There is a risk and benefit factor in crypto trading. BTC reached ATH yet the profit was low if you compare successfull alts. I bought a token at 8 cents and sold at 2usd. Now compare the profit percentage, is not it quite high than btc. If you buy btc at 200usd that is another thing. I waited 6 months only, in case of btc you had to wait some years

this is definitely your strategy and your choice in making investments. personally I do take a different approach on my investment plans and holding only bitcoin is quite a risky investment. I will always invest  and hold altcoins alongside bitcoin for diversification purposes

Indeed the price of bitcoin is increasing and improving. Some altcoins are following bitcoin price increases but not all of them. If indeed you are holding a coin that is less profitable at this time then you should indeed sell and exchange it for bitcoin. I think bitcoin is more profitable than many altcoins for current conditions. At least you are not at a loss that makes you even worse. You must immediately make a decision before you regret losing all your money. I'm afraid that later the coins you have become ashes before exchanging for bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the safest investment in the cryptocurrency market. And I think selling altcoin and exchanging it to bitcoin is the right step because bitcoin is a major asset in the market, moreover the price of bitcoin is now increasing

I think its a thinkable idea but my old man always says dont put all the eggs in the same basket. So in this perspective it can be dangerous for your portfolio.

Your idea is not good for me base in my opinion! Since its dangerous to keep all your investment in just one coin/token, Its better to learn in a simple reminder "dont put all your eggs in one basket" Ill still choose to buy and invest on numerous coins/tokens as long as it was promising and has a working product and services that may drive the coin/token demand in the near future.

Although bitcoin is really a good choice when you want to invest your money. But, it if you want to earn huge profit, investing in a promising altcoins is a wise decision. You can buy cheaper alts and sell it in a higher price once it pump. But of course, we have our own strategies.

You can take some different strategy for the future profits. I think altcoins should not have to come so early because your honor can increase at any moment. In fact bitcoin is the good assets and you can move 80% your money in Bitcoin. Even if you have some in altcoins then it will be betterment.

It certainly depends on the trend, If you think your altcoins is not promising enough and bitcoin is just like an oasis in the middle of desert because your altcoins is stagnant or dumped, better off to cash out your alts to bitcoin since that's the more preferable options, I mean bitcoin could also go up as far as those altcoins can do.

Partly you're right on selling while bitcoin started to increase at profitable price mate, and it's not a wise idea while bitcoin also was dipping. It's good to sell some of the alts that you had and not the entire holdings once when btc shows some price spikes. But only for one purpose just to buy bitcoin and hold while the price wasn't building up at higher value.

I think the current conditions for selling altcoins are not possible. the problem is that the altcoin is almost all unstable. so indeed the time is not right now, we better wait for things to improve and we sell altcoin to be replaced with bitcoin.

You're right, the altcoins aren't growing much now, because many people are looking at Bitcoin now, and soon the time will come and the altcoins will start growing.

Even though Bitcoin is a good coin, you don't have to put all your eggs in one basket. It will be good if you have Bitcoin and other altcoins too. Its better you make profit from both sides that just one side.

The best practice anyone would advise you should have always been for you to diversify and have your assets in different coin, and since Bitcoin is the only major coin, while the rest of coins are all altcoins, we have no choice than to have at least 5 of them that we can trust to hold for a long term investment, which is still the top 5 altcoins.

For the rest of the coin, I think your method will be perfect, especially now that they are not having their bull run yet, we could still convert some of the altcoins we have to Bitcoin since Bitcoin is still the main dominant now, pending when some of these altcoins shows signs of bull run, then we can buy those that has potential to increase back.

We still some altcoins that are rising along with BTC which are even the coins that I counted as altcoins, because other altcoins I see in the market are become to have too many unserious developers that are not willing to push any further, as Bitcoin rises, notice that only top 50 altcoins are the ones rising along with Bitcoin.

Those top coins are the ones I think has the tendency of having a bull run and worthy to keep because no one knows exactly when their bull run will come, which could happen within a twinkle of an eye, but if we have coins that are below these top 50 coin, I think it is best we sell them for Bitcoin, for chance of increasing our Bitcoin profit.

I think that's a good idea. I think if the storm starts, not all the altcoins will start to grow. There's not enough money for all the coins. So leave promising altcoins, and the rest pour into bitcoin.

In my opinion now is not the right time to sell all Altcoin for Bitcoin, because the price of Bitcoin is too far to reach and already expensive.
You have to save Atlcoin strongly because the movement of Bitcoin will affect other coins including Altcoin and will increase following the movement of Bitcoin.
if you want to have bitcoin, you have to buy bitcoin when there is a slight decrease and with that you will get a tremendous profit from both.

after all this time and all these altcoin dumps against bitcoin if you haven't figured it out yet then maybe you should try not to trade altcoins at all.
the thing is we have already seen that without any exceptions each time bitcoin rises or falls the altcoins will lose their value because everyone dumps them. so there is no question left about the decision that you should make with your investment, altcoins are only good for short term trading and nothing more.

I can’t say people to sell their all altcoins for BTC. But for me, to be honest i usually prefer to stay with BTC already.
I don’t like to spend my time while thinking about the next move of ALTs. So i only buy the ones that i trust most and i only hold them.

no, just hold if you're a long term holder, go all in just for 1 coin is riskier than split it, but if youre a daily trader its up to you, if you think holding bitcoin for short term is the best action to gain capital just do it, but in my opinion is just hold it till altcoins rising again

I think selling all altcoin for bitcoin is not a good idea because the altcoin can increase in anytime. You don't know when the altcoin increase and that could make you too late to sell at the high price. But if you still believe that the altcoin can give another profit, then you should hold it for a while and always check the price at the market, so you don't miss the chance. Many people are late to sell their altcoin because they don't check the price or they don't set the alarm when the price can reach one price they want.

Some altcoins also showed good growth. I would not argue that bitcoin could be more profitable than altcoins in the short term. But everyone determines how and what is better to earn.

that's exactly what I'm going to do with selling all your altcoins and buying bitcoin is a great way to make money because bitcoin price is so low today and I'm certain that when the price goes up and you sell your holding you will earn a great deal.

BTC has already shown its potential this year, but if you compare the raise of BTC with other major altcoins, they are still very silent. I have not mentioned any great price increase, so I hope it will happen in the nearest future.

Bitcoin is up and this is a good thing, Altcoin is following an increase because Ethereum is improving better.
Bitcoin is indeed a good choice because the movement is good and may be very profitable but to get Bitcoin you need big capital, compared to other Altcoin.

No, I am not going to sell any altcoin for bitcoin now. Because all altcoin bought in high rate. Price has been dropped almost 3X. So I don't like to sell on this huge loss. On the other hand altcoin will start recover when bitcoin will recover. If incase price raise after I sold, then I will be on loss. That's the reason why I am not going to sell lately.

Its really not a bad idea to sell off all altcoins for bitcoin investment especially for those who can't endure for long term investment which is needed for altcoins ,if you are among those who invested in bitcoin at 3500$ you would have been in huge profits by now

If we believe that the altcoins were holding has sound fundamentals especially if it has unique use-cases, then I think we should adhere to that belief and support the project all the way and we should not do panic selling all our altcoin holdings inspite of progressing BTC bull run. Imho.

If we talk about profit taking then yes I agree. But if selling all altcoin because of fomo on bitcoin is not good. If you hold a potential altcoin like eth or ltc you don't have to be afraid on it. They really have good projects and been stable on the top 10 of cmc throughout this previous years.

We see that many altcoins are depreciating against the bitcoin right now. So I think that it's not a good time to sell all your altcoins for bitcoin. It's better to hold and wait for an altseason that will come after bitcoin bull run.

With the rise of BTC, the best Alt Coin performers are going to be BCH and LTC.  Especially LTC before the halving.  LTC has so much more room to gain.

from the market movement currently, i doubt if there is any future for altcoins. they are moving proportionally to bitcoins like before. the last bull market saw bitcoin at 10,000k while ethereum was at 500usd and bitcoin cash was at 1500. currently, these altcoins are all below 400 usd. i don't think we will see much move in altcoin during this current bull run.

sometimes I do that. not my all of the altcoins. I sell my altcoins to BTC if BTC price is higher than the ETH price. for a little more profit. actually, in some points, I also feel it's a good idea because BTC is stable than the ETH.

Wouldn't be such a bad idea seeing that bitcoin is still going to pump and in the process, the altcoins will most likely bleed even further. Hinging your assets on btc and weathering the storm will be a good move. It will return better value in the process and you will have the opportunity of gaining more altcoins when you want to convert back.

Taking profit now is ok as long as you have the plan on what will be the next move to do, altcoins are not pumping much so maybe they will be the next to go uptrend. I see no reason to sell my top Altcoins for Bitcoin.  If I wanted to invest in Bitcoin, I would have done so.  But this transfer from one coin to another is not for me.

There is no need to sell your alts for btc because alts period to increase in price will also come then maybe you won't be able to buy at low price when you sell all your alts just to ride btc price increase, besides not all alts are stagnant, some few alts are climbing alongside btc, ti may not be as high as btc but few are doing have increase this few days, am hodling my alts as firm as i could.

1) Bitcoin pump, will result to good increase of value compared to all altcoins.

2) Major and popular altcoins pump together with bitcoin.

3) Small and not popular altcoins will pump together with major altcoins and bitcon.

First you're lucky they're still within the same range you bought them. Mine has gone down some 50%' 70' 200%  below my buy zone I tend to keep them on the exchange and forget I bought them. Hoping things turn soon enough for alts.

I agree, but in my case, with LISK (ICO) and or buying an altcoin at the high, I have a few altcoins that I've not sold yet. Mainly due to being stubborn because I got into them

too high. (Not a lot of $$$ but they sit none the less). Or in the case of Litecoin, I actually bought a mess of LTC when it was around $85 USD, because I thought it would go up

In the past, not sure it applies now, altcoins would USUALLY (or the ones I've still not panic sold) will follow Bitcoin price rises eventually. It usually takes a point where

Bitcoin sits at a price sideways for a bit...say a week or so. Altcoins never go up along with Bitcoin on the same % scale when BTC is pumping, if I remember right.

So only keep such altcoins around that you can speculate with, have little $$$ in and are stubborn. I probably have too much in Bitcoin vs USD, but hey, it is how I roll

I as a hunter do not often do. Yes, bitcoin is the main coin of the market. Well, the projects have their own potential. What not to say it is. And as a hunter, I know that the project has paid on time and the project documents allow the project to grow.

I think this is very accurate because after analyzing the cryptocurrencies that currently exist on the crypto market, i can say only a hand full of them is capable of making good returns on a bullish market.

Maybe earlier in the year but I think right now is the time to sell a lot of btc and invest in altcoins.  Many top alts are at very low btc ratio prices especially ethereum.  Anyways as long as your in any crypto coin you will out perform the stock market.

I feel the bull will continue and slowly but surely the price of Bitcoin will again touch $ 20k. Altcoin derivatives of Bitcoin such as Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Diamond, Bitcoin SV will bull also follow Bitcoin.. I agree with the invitation to sell all Altcoin then buy Bitcoin, but don't sell Altcoin derivatives of Bitcoin.

This decision still depends on which altcoin you want to sell for BTC. For me I think if you hold some altcoin and you don't sell you will make good profit that selling now.

I think it is not a wise idea to sell your altcoins to buy bitcoin, because altcoins will give you more profit than bitcoin. Don't be discouraged that altcoins are not following bitcoin upward trend presently, they will have their season soon and it will be massive.

I agree that we should keep a certain amount of Bitcoin, but should not completely hold 100% Bitcoin, there are still a lot of good coins out there. Normally I do not keep the amount of Bitcoin exceeding 50% of my assets, the rest I will invest in potential altcoin.

Yes, right, we have to consider the sale of Altcoin, especially Altcoin, which has great potential for the long term, it would be better if you sell shitcoin that doesn't grow anymore to buy BTC, of course. There are some altcoins that we will be making a very big mistake of selling off because of the big future they have, I could remember that in the last bull run, I got so tired of some altcoins that I thought of selling them off, it was my instinct that saved me, not long that I made the decision to sell off that some of them short up as high as 1500x, and I could not really explain the reason for that.

So patient is really a virtue, rather than selling those coins off for Bitcoin, we can just work  for more fiat to add to the Bitcoin portfolio, except coins that are really not working at all again, which we will notice through their very low volume, and would even be difficult for us to sell off.

If you want to play safer, then selling your altcoins for buying bitcoin is a good way to do.

Actually it's a good idea to swap all Altcoin with Bitcoin, but it must be considered too because in my opinion Bitcoin is now too expensive and there must be profit calculations.

If that's how you think will lead you to a much successful investment then selling your Alts to have more control with your Bitcoin is also not a bad idea, as the value keeps on rising chances to make a much bigger profits as of now will be there  for your investment, take your call.

Yes, if they exchange it when the bitcoin price is under $ 10k it doesn't matter though I think the following prices are still high.
I also hold both because I believe Altcoin will increase in the near future even though it moves slowly but will be proven at the right time.

I don't agree if I have to sell all of the altcoin assets to hold Bitcoin ... I think Altcoin will also increase like bitcoin at this time ... then I will keep holding the altcoin that I have for sale at the right time and with greater profits. ... if I sell it now then I experience a huge loss, so I have to keep holding it until the price is stable and profitable.

It is a risky move with BTC moving up on the chart like it is doing. May you jump to alts and Bitcoin dont slow down the alts you buy now will be a expensive purchase later on.

Do not sell all your altcoins for bitcoin because we don't know what the next altcoins season will look like,it might be better than what we've witnessed in the past ,we need patience and remember that altcoins season of last bullrun came when we least expected

This is my answer to all people complaining about altcoins bearish movement ,before bitcoin start surging in price remember that many people talk against bitcoin saying its the end of its life circle ,no one expected to see bitcoin at 10k this soon except real bitcoin fans out here so now same thing is happening to altcoins ,to my own point of view its simply lack of impatience

if in my opinion indeed in this condition it is not a problem to sell your altcoins all to be exchanged to bitcoin because I am sure that bitcoin will soon want to experience a fairly high price increase this year

I am sure that soon, the price will rise more than now and we will be back to make a big profit. You don't need to worry if the price was down for a while or even a day because bitcoin price will increase and will make the highest price in the other days.

As I am not a trader, this exercise is too complicated for me. Unless you are very savvy in the trading part, it is risky to make mistakes and destroy value.

In my opinion that is not a good idea, we should not put all eggs in a basket. It's best to break down your investments to avoid big risks. I often divide my investments into 50% - 50%, of which 50% I use to invest in Bitcoin and the remaining 50% I use to invest in altcoin.

Maybe those top 10 you mention are have a chance can get a price like that. Never stayed with my altcoins. Ethereum will be the only one with an exemption. Although it may vary to the weather which we are in.
Bitcoin had always been the trusted one and with the incoming fork, it will be better to hoard more than just stay with the same price.
You will never know when this investors will suddenly buy.

That's upto you. What kind of investors you are or how much risk you can take. It totally depends on you and you capabilities. If you want a risk free asset then I would say go for bit sell off all your alts and hold the Bitcoin. But sell your alts at good price never sell tokens in loss. Next if you can take a little bit risk I always suggest hold alts cause in the mean time alts gives more profit than Bitcoin. But yeah it is risky. Specially when you hold mid or low cap altcoins.
