Title: Don't fall for this Trump's statement about Bitcoin. This is bullish!
Post by: SuperTA on July 12, 2019, 09:28:15 AM
Don't fall for this Trump's statement about Bitcoin. This is actually bullish! “Giving attention” to crypto period, tells me it’s game on. Never trade cryptocurrency based on the news and statements like that. Do you remember the statements from the JP Morgan? If you learned something from that, you should seek for every opportunity and buy any dip that comes (if it comes). That's how the big players do their thing. You want to buy cheap coins? Make a negative statement about it and buy cheaper. If you panic sell, they will get your bitcoins before it goes further to the upside. You will be shaked out and kicked out of this train. Don't fall for it. This is bullish in my opinion. Bitcoin clearly got some attention from mr. Trump (or his team) clearly, it's so important that he tweets about it. If it wasn't important he wouldn't bother to write anything about bitcoin. He also didn't say that he is against bitcoin. He just said he is not a fan of btc. A big difference. He likes to change his mind very often on his twitter! Trump has many followers and he mentioned bitcoin to them. Any advertising is a good advertising! So again, don't fall for it. I think you should do the opposite of what the small traders would do in this case. Buy the dip!

Trump changes his mind too often on his twitter. So don't take it seriously.

Don't fall for this Trump's statement about Bitcoin.

too late:

Bitcoin Industry Celebrates ‘Achievement Unlocked’ as Trump Pumps Market (https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-industry-celebrates-achievement-unlocked-as-trump-pumps-market)

I agree with this:

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated, leading the responses.

“Achievement unlocked! I dreamt about a sitting U.S. president needing to respond to growing cryptocurrency usage years ago. ‘First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.’ We just made it to step 3 y'all,” he tweeted.

Never trade cryptocurrency based on the news and statements like that.

unfortunately in the world crypto the news has a great power, and many people do not know to keep calm and be rationales

He also didn't say that he is against bitcoin. He just said he is not a fan of btc. A big difference.

he is doing a little research to see the reaction of people, he measures his words so that they are not words without a return. in this case he just expressed his opinion, which means that he does not run the risk of losing voters for talking bullshit.

I agree on that. I think they will eventually adopt crypto. I think that's the plan from the very beginning. To have a new world with cashless society. Maybe they started to mention bitcoin and crypto so they see the reaction from people. A little research as you say.

That is so truth. You also are making me remember about the phrase that says: There's no such thing as bad advertising.

I still believe that it is something extremely useful in this moments and years. In the future, the price will probably be extremely hard to influence but also the time to play with the margins is precisely right now, that is why i don't criticize whales - It's truth.

In the future, however. Things seems like they are going to be a lot more stabilized and gossip is going to be a lot less important, thankfully.

Make a negative statement about it and buy cheaper.
That's very important to understand.

If I was a powerful influential then this is very easy for me to spread some negativity, fear in the market and once the market starts to panic and start selling and price starts to drop then I will buy the low. No one is going to know about it. Once I am happy with my bag then I come up with good statements about bitcoins.

So, careful who you listen.

I left you 2 sMerits for this constructive thoughtful topic.

This is a good point. Some people can, of course, be genuinely worried about Bitcoin and thus say bad things about it, but others do it for business. Remember how the devaluation of fiat is sometimes called the hidden tax? 'cause you don't give your money away directly, but you can buy less and less for it, which is basically the same. I think that since the govs and banks cannot do anything exactly like that with cryptos, they are trying to make people dump their coins, so that people can buy less for the same money and so that these business-oriented people can then buy their coins, getting more control over the market.

Every influential man who has said something about bitcoin, be it negative or positive, pumped the price in one way or another e.g. Jamie Dimon and his continuous bashing of bitcoin and ceypto in general. Also, the news/tweet already reached a lot of audience, and look at how the price reacted due to that single statement. I wouldn't generally call this as a normal/ongoing thing for crypto but hey, bad publicity is still publicity, and will still generate interest among the masses.

Yes, thanks Mr. President. We're in the dip recently, but as soon as he tweet it, the market suddenly recovers and almost all crypto's are now back into green zone. So I'm expecting in the next coming days, we will see the price touching $12k and this will never be forgotten and will be etch on bitcoins history.

and few facts about trading just know all the traders which predict the outcome by lines on graphs like support and resistance and other shit they are crazy people in some sort of level, because the web dominated by scams and all the books and blogs about trading is some sort of level scam because lines on a graphs in trading cannot predict the outcome ... 99.99% are stuck in this rabbit hole hhhhhhhhhh

what predict market movement is selling and buying rate....very simple and nothing else, this is why the topest traders dont called traders and they more in some sort of level are holders because they know this and that going to spike this coin in a matter of 6-7 months,

day traders its huge scam running over the web as in reality 99.99% lose and some get to the streets, the scams give the illusion that its healthy and stable market BUT its far away.

Hopefully his administration doesn't decide to go hard after the exchanges by piling on so many regulations it becomes impractical and for all intents and purposes shuts down the fiat to crypto bridge. Trump may have the attention span of a fruit fly but the people that happily get on their knees for him do not and they can cause some real damage.

This is what reverse psychology is and will help us realize what’s the true score on what this President Trumps says either it’s against cryptocurrency  or not, what is important is the impact this will bring to our community here, people now will have a chance to have thinking and researching about what this all about,if this is really risky or the truth isn’t profiteering

Realistically, Trump statement should not make the market to dip and I did not see any serious dip since he tweeted that statement yesterday. The market will explode any moment from now because his statement validated bitcoin though he said: "he is not a fan of Bitcoin". To me, he speaks from the investment angle like other businessmen have spoken and not that bitcoin is bad and he is not rejecting it. We should know that Trump has made several comments and his first speaking about bitcoin should be seen as a good omen and not a bad one. Expect more bullish momentum some days to come because of the outcome of this statement.

The tweet has had no effect, as yet, on google searches for neither Bitcoin nor Libra. Google trends (handle with a spice of scepticism) show no abrupt surge in the searched terms, hinting that it has not caused additional interest (yet) for information on them due to the tweet.

7 day trend chart above.

Nevertheless, up to 61,9 M people (his twitter base of followers) now have Bitcoin potentially crossing their mind, which is not bad publicity.
As if FIAT was clean from the drug trade – hell, you can’t even handle one without there being traces of it on it …

I don't share this feeling that POTUS criticizing Bitcoin is a good thing, seems like quite a stretch to me, no wonder people are making fun of Bitcoiners sometimes with "this is good for Bitcoin" meme.

And I would even go as far as to say that it's a negative thing, because a ban on cryptocurrency by the US would be a horrible thing - other countries would follow suit, exchanges will close, the market will lose liquidity which is already low, the price will plummet, mining and hashpower will suffer, adoption will be halted. Just because Bitcoin can't be stopped, doesn't mean it can't be harmed.

No matter if it is a research or not, the important thing is bitcoin is getting another hype everyone should buy all the coins they can as it is going to go crazy soon. Trump is not just another critic on the community he is a man with political powers so it's clear that he wants returns from all those lines. we have to just think what he is planning to do next, do you guys think Trump is actually going to try and buy some coins. and will he change his mind once he tried btc?

I think you shouldn't worry about that. If they wanted to ban crypto, they would ban it a long time ago. As a matter of fact, they are legitimising it, every year more and more. This crypto mentioning is one of the first steps to inform the mass public about crypto. I think they have the plan to adopt it, slowly, and bring cashless society to our new world. They cannot do it in 1 day. It would be to drastical change and shocking, hard to adapt. They need to bring it slowly, first mentioning, even if it's a negative statement, like Trump's twitter. If they didn't want to advertise bitcoin to 60 million followers and to the media, they would act behind the scenes so noone would notice. There is no such thing as bad advertising.

Did you read the tweets? He was quite harshly criticizing it, and it's again an incredible stretch to say that it's somehow a first step towards official adoption. If they really wanted to adopt it, they'd praise it instead. It's ridiculous to look for hidden meanings, come up with overly complex explanations when reality is plain and simple - Trump or people from his surroundings don't like Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

My logic is if they wanted to ban it they would do so 5 years ago. Remember JP Morgan criticizing Bitcoin? What was that all about? Now, we all know it was a false flag. Media often acts the opposite. When they want to buy cheaper, they fud. When they want to cash out a huge amount, they publish a good news so the small investors buy their dumping. Trump didn't say anything about ban. He didn't say he is against bitcoin. He only said that he is not a fan of bitcoin. But he often changes his mind on his tweets.

I bet Donald Trump would change his mind about crypto if he knew that he could stop the Russians meddling in the upcoming 2020 election process by using an un-hackable ballot box provided by HST decision token.  Its voting on the blockchain with voting results that are instant and cannot be hacked or rigged.

And loose the election?
Cheating is the GOP's primary strategy for winning. It's not like they could win a fair fight.

It just a level of caution and control, he didnt mean anything too serious. We have always wanted to get a notice from the president itself that he recognizes crypto. I dont think this could pull the rooted space out.

I too think that the probability of ban is low, because they could have done it long ago, but it's still not a good thing that Trump criticize Bitcoin. It was different with JPM - Jamie Dimon was stating his personal opinion, which he still didn't change much - they like blockchain but not Bitcoin, they wanted to make their own stablecoin to compete with Bitcoin, and this is something government are also talking about.

And don't forget that we have examples of countries speaking out against Bitcoin first, then taking actions against it, like China and Iran.

news always affects the mentality and decisions of crypto users.  and that will create FOMO.  but for me it doesn't matter.  Bitcoin has high popularity and still has many whales.  so.  every bad statement will only affect beginners.  elite holders will be consistent with BTC assets.  I will buy BTC and ETH every time when I have capital.

I can't imagine with what your thought so far, I'm just believing that Trump is not like bitcoin and he will try tro destroy bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as a whole. Because I only look at the libra coin who will be use in 2020, the using of libra it is same when we use of dollar. The price of libra will be same as dollar movement price, so as I'm just thinking libra coin will overtake the using of dollar even dollar will not be use by most people anymore. So as he will try to fight against cryptocurrencies and he knows that bitcoin is the mother of cryptocurrencies so he said negatively about bitcoin and made the price down.

It's also surprising that it didn't dump hard despite of Trump's tweet about bitcoin. This means that many people already knows the real potential of bitcoin. Government sees it as a threat now so Trump made his move to attempt a massive crash but it didn't happen.

Trump's words changed nothing. Yes, the price has fallen, but it is not a significant drop. Too many people believe in bitcoin. Soon the price will return to the previous level. I think now is a good time to buy bitcoin.

I'm not falling for this because these are only tweets. They don't mean anything.

Not long ago politicians weren't using social media at all and these days they are trolling all day long attacking each other and producing statements they later back out of.
He's not gonna act on it. It's just his personal opinion or rather an opinion of one of his advisors. I doubt he has time to research cryptocurrencies in deep.

Yep when president of USA write about this means everything is done already and Libra will give big adaptation to crypto so this not another way than win of crypto under fiat we will and this the last stage of the war i think and will win there.
The current hot rumour is Libra seems to be prohibited by the governments there. You see there are a lot of pressure to the Facebook to stop their development of their own Libra coin, seems so many people there are afraid of Libra's existence. What's ridiculous is some people keeps on repeating that Libra will be fluctuative and risky while in fact it is a stablecoin. Those people seems to not get the grasp or understanding of Libra itself.

it's bullish for price (medium/long term) but it's bearish for crypto regulations. sounds like trump is ready to rubber stamp whatever draconian bill comes down the pipeline from our friends at the FATF.

I can't wait to see something bullish for alts btw..

you might be waiting a while! :-X

I believe that Trump already knows what bitcoin is and he knew also how profitable it is, but he may not like the cryptocurrency itself. The recent tweet of the US president against bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies might become a 2020 election issue according to some reports and if this happen, other would-be candidates for presidency might join the debate.

I also don't think it's a point of bitcoin destruction even though Trump said he wasn't a fan of bitcoin, I don't believe the news articles out there exaggerated to make panic, so come back to think more positively about Trump Tweets

You know when a US President makes statements on Twitter that much and nobody takes it seriously anymore, then you know his days are counted. Yes, he made some huge waves with the trade war statements and the things he said towards North Korea, but he turns on a dime and says the opposite within a few days.

I think he takes a few Whiskeys before he Tweets and then he talks a bit shit on Twitter and the next day his advisors has to repair all the damage and give him direction to post something that would help to do that.  ::)

Well to be honest it's Trump .
No one cares about what he said , just because he is the president is the reason people actually listen to him .

He said Bitcoins is not money .
Does he really think we don't know that already ?
Bitcoins is more likely an investment which can easily be taken
   And exchanged for money .
It is like gold and share market.

We know what to expect here , that's why we are investing , the market is volatile and it is beneficial for us not otherwise.

I do not think that little bitcoin price drop has anything to do with the trump statement. Bitcoin is bullish and is being adopted quickly. Also now bitcoin prices do no react much to the statements from the presidents or celebrities.

If it's good news, buy the rumor sell the news. If it's bad news, you buy the dip, you buy when others panic.

If something is not important and has no future value or can change the event of play and change our systemic operations, the government will just be silent about it, but when it becomes a major source of concern to the government and big industries, then it's time to be jealous about the outcome because the government major aim is to always control the people. Only the people who really don't know the future of cryptocurrency will be scared about the President's tweet. Funny, the big banks and the big companies that actually control the economy and not necessarily the elected politicians

What's taking place with the market is the regular price fluctuation. Trumps statement has taken bitcoin to the entire world, through this even the unknowns too have come to know about it. This hasn't affected the market anyway, before every level of forward push there will be some momentum gain and the same is taking place at the moment.

Regardless of what he says, I do not actually listen to him. Neither do I care about his lates rants and updates especially with regards to cryptocurrency since this is a field that is beyond the scope of their understanding and knowledge. Although he may be a successful entreprenuer and investor, I doubt that he has the means of understanding cryptocurrency given that he has a country to serve and work for.

His tweets might be viewed as a negative consequence that will further increase the stigma on bitcoin on most people who are not knowledgeable about the subject. This may render negative implications as it will discourage potential investors who are willing to invest their money in cryptocurrencies.

It's so obvious the bull run of bitcoin will begin soon but these whales are so smart they try to spread such informations about Bitcoin to get people to panic sell so that they can buy cheap. The increase in adoption of cryptocurrencies growing day by day as major cryptocurrency exchanges are recording all time highs of bitcoin transactions almost everyday. The future is here folks, hodl.

Well, if we avoid his words, somehow he advertised Btc and we can take it as a good thing :) That’s right, all the big players want to buy cheap and they make this kind of negative statements. I think we should learn to stay calm and don’t pay too much attention for this kind of news about crypto and Bitcoin.

Ok. A few days ago, this topic started. In this time bitcoin droped from almost 12.000 to 9000 usd. Yesterday, there was a big and fast increase in price. More than 1000 usd in 30 minutes. 1500 usd increase in 1 hour. In my opinion this was some big player buying. Bought himself position in bitcoin. When he bought up he was probably happy with his position. Because there was no huge buying anymore after the spike. And the price was pretty much consolidating all day and slightly declining. After some time there were a smaller spikes, maybe a smaller players buying their position too. It looks like they are accumulating. If the price goes lower they will probably accumulate more. If the price goes up they will win anyway. It's possible someone took an advantage of this fud and bought a huge position.

Oh sh*t! I forgot he is a businessman after all.
Yeah, they do that.
Making bad statements about an opponent while preparing for their own look alike or a copy of the one they are against.
Good analysis.

He might do it. It may look like the same as what Suckerberg's project it.
I mean he aint really stopping it but more like just holding it to avoid big industries investing with Libra.

I share your opinion and the truth is that we should not get carried away by anyone's opinion, especially in a time where cryptocurrencies have already gained a great reputation and where every day there are new applications that facilitate their use and acceptance to create opportunities for millions of people. people.

In my opinion, Donald Trump is difficult to guess and the changes are not only based on these private lines.  but implicitly, Trump sees and affirms the existence of bitcoin and crypto is true.  I think bitcoin will continue to rise again not only by this.  Big investors have returned to the market and stimulated demand from the new target.  This adjustment will continue to boost the market.  even Halving BTC at 2020.
