A good crypto project is enough to change one's life so why not take the chances?all i keep doing is making sure i get a share hold of very good coins or tokens with real use case and yes i did have many coins but i believe that a good crypto project is all we need. Am I doing the right thing?

You did it right but it was only a part. The most important thing in this market is the market condition, uptrend or downtrend. If a project is solid, in a market downtrend will still face many difficulties, and you will still lose your investment. So choosing the investment time is still the most important.

Accumulating good coins or tokens with real use case is easier said than done. Which altcoins are you accumulating? Many suggests that those in the top 10 are good for building a solid portfolio. I've been really into unstoppable domains for their contributions of having an easy domain attached to a persons wallet. Also Nuls for their ChainBox approach to setting up blockchains (no language necessary)

Doing proper research consistently to discover new great crypto coins especially with low market cap will benefit you greatly, since one of your holdings can give you great profit over time. But this is not the case all the time, since some coins you neglect might skyrocket in price even without great project development, now luck comes into play.

It easier to pass a camel through the eyes of a needle than finding a good initial coin offering projects this days so they main issue/problem is no getting your wallet filled with good project but the deal is finding the so called good project. I hope we can hit 100% of good coins in our portfolios but it's hard for this to happen because there will always good coins and bad coins, some coins will have a good chance to develop and get a good price in the market, and some will not, it's just important that we have more good coins than bad one.

Yes, this strategy looks very good. But you have to work hard to collect really valuable coins. You need to do very thorough research. But it's definitely worth it. This is how you invest in your good future.

It is always better to hold just just two to three coins that have good potentials and are having good products that will bring more value to them, than to accumulate so many shit coins that will not yield good result. To even manage them, might be something very difficult.

I am beginning to think that it's the shitcoins that would end up making us rich, you will hardly see good tokens with usecase moon up to 500% to 1000% but I can easily point to a bunch of shitcoins that has managed that feat in the past... But in the long run, you are correct, tokens with usecase would survive the test of time.

The hard to do is to decide choosing a good potential coin/token, have you know it the way? We only use the whitepaper to know the potential project for the future but it seems like for at this time the whitepaper not help much. Most of investors only use the project for short term investment only, maybe you have known when the taken part with IEO or ICO project they will sell quickly when the project token has been listed on the exchange and can be traded. If the culture of investment in the new project is like that I doubt the new project will come everytime and still worth to be an investment place.

We all know we have so many different coins in our folio and one of them are not worth or no value at all. And all you doing it is good to hold some trusted coins. Very right. Because some good projects are still bound to fail especially if the dev team got burned out and they have no motivation to push thru the project anymore. One good coin must indeed be in our portfolio, especially for long-term investment. However, in my opinion not only one coin we need. Holding a lot of coins without any value on the market is not necessary. Coins with real usage are always the best because the use case alone can give value to the coin. They are less likely to die off so your funds are safe

The only problem nowadays is that there are less good projects for you to trust your money with. 2016 and 2017 to be honest was the good year of the ICO's and projects until all the scams and scalawags of crypto started appearing and creating these fake hype for a quick buck. The most reliable thing right now is your good instincts and proper research on a certain project. yeah that right , holding coin with real use will minimize the risk about getting scam or the price down, at least when the price down or collapse it will comeback because the coin is real project. Lucky you, I hope those coins do not end up disappointing you one after the other, this was the same way I accumulated lots of coin with real use case in 2017, and I could vow that I did my thorough research before investing in tem in which they interpreted to me that they have a very bright feature, but right now, over 30 to 40 percent of those projects have already turned shitcoins, they keep giving some sort of excuses on their update through telegram then gradually they stopped responding.

It is good to make research but you will have to leave everything to your faith because those projects can disappoint at any time, the only projects that I prefer to invest in right now are still projects that are done with ICO and has lasted long a little in the market which is why I prefer to just stick with projects that are within the top 50.

I think people already have a solid portfolio from a year ago and now, they are waiting a good moment to sell their portfolio to make a profit. Almost all of those projects plans to have some use and that they had indicate it all in their whitepaper. Its not however that easy to have a community that will start using the project when there ain't no real company that will adopt it. If its not being used by a community just like the gambling casinos today, it may not be as profitable as it is. However, Identifying a good project or one that will turn out to be successful is a real problem and sometimes a number of these project turns out to be a waste of time because a lot of projects find it hard to raise funds because of the decline in ICOs.

Sometimes to me, just basing it on risk taking makes it look more like gambling to me, because I have seen so many people that has because of risk just invest in every coin they see in the name that we are just taking risk, we have some wise risk and we have some stupid risk. I would never because of risk watch my money go into the pocket of a scammer, so i will ensure that whatever risk that I am taking is that risk that is really worth it.

In other to take a risk that is worth it, we just have to try everything possible to make sure that every single project that we pick for consideration is really a project that will never disappoint, which means we have to make sure that we do lots of research on the before we decide to press that send or buy button that will transfer our money to them.

It is very important to pick coins carefully because one day you can become very rich if you invest now and they become popular and useful in everyday lives.

Its not just the usecase of the project/token but also the community behind it. ETH has big community and so does the EOS and TRX and almost all has a community who will be using the token. If the project concentrates its use for the binary option traders, there will be less people in the community. Some projects also concentrates more on gamblers which the token only be used by gamblers in the platform. Projects who defines their token to be used by all, it will have bigger community and most probably higher value.

the problem is that it is not easy to find good projects that were released from the very beginning, such as eth btc xlm ripple and many other coins they are very cheap or worthless when released but can survive.

I would even allocate only 10 percent in order to be able to play and trade. with such an unstable market as it is now if you take more than 10 percent you are already at a great risk

We all chase to have a strong portofolio with altcoins that can bring some profits or massive profits however it seems that the market and Bitcoin won't let anything good to happen to altcoins and besides this a lot of them are already dead or dying without having volume or a core team to develop the project further.

For now, I gather a few altcoins and 1 masternode as the rest of them are not so promising...2018-2019 was a rough year for altcoins besides 2015-2016 when we had some nice growths on alts with good development now if we take lets say Insolar per example they are rank 1 on github yet the price won't even move upwards.

When the bullrun happened I believed that it could change someone's life. not all cryptos are good, many projects are scams and only want to extort money from novice investors, I suggest if you want to buy a good crypto you see from whitepapers, teams, roadmaps, missions etc. on the web, if there is anything suspicious leave the project immediately like that because it's too risky.

My current portfolio is consists of altcoins belong to top 10 cryptocurrencies in terms of market capitalization. I do not know buy altcoins that are not popular because there is a possibility that it can go down.

A coin that has a use case is no longer viable this time. There were projects that has an actual use case but still they failed to reach their success. As you can see, there were many projects that made their name but few of them got the actual support from the people.
It's not because of their use case but it's on how the developers acted and showed their sympathy to the project. It's the reality these days that it's getting harder to lean on new projects.

Yes, you are absolutely right! A good crypto project is enough to change a person's life. I got the Counting House project. The ico price was 1100 CHT coin for 1 Ethereum. Later it grew incredibly high and 1 CHT price crossed more than 3 USD, even still it's price more than 2 USD. I had 6700 CHT, which means almost 18K USD was added to my portfolio! It was happened last year, from then to now I am searching for a project like that Counting House. I don't think a coin with use cases will help you like this, rather new coins have more chance to give you this type incredible return!

Before making an investment into any of the new projects it is a must analyze better. Even after analysis when we invest there are chances for the decline in the market of the respective project. In my view a solid portfolio needs to have altcoins in large number which are in the top order along with bitcoin having the majority percentage of the portfolio.

I think you doing right things, but i suggest you to focus on only 3-5 coins. If you find a good coins then dont split your investment into many part, go with 3-5 project and set low price, do not chase the price because the market still in downtrend and that coins may have lower price. 5 years earlier some people were investing in eth and others were investing in iota/xrp/trx or whatever and most of the people totally lost their funds to icos and shitcoins.
You can risk now and find that eth out of thousands new coin, but more likely you will invest in well known eth in order to save funds

I never said I would continue to rely on the bounty results, I only gave advice to the OP so they could take advantage of the opportunity in narrowness. well I like the Temtum project because it gives good rewards to hunters even though it only allocates $ 50k in TEM tokens but for me this is quite large even with a signature campaign paid above $ 200 + and this token is quite stable in the market and they also have developers professionals so that they are more in the beginning of how to plan a bounty program without having to dump their tokens later.

We don't really need a project portfolio here because this is a forum, I guess you are going to need it if you are one of the token developers. Aside from that joining projects would not really benefit a lot since their are already too many altcoins  it is better to just stay in bitcoin or the popular one.

But many of the bad projects are created and ended up dead. Now that market exchanges are very bad, many scammer ico are too risky to take.

After that, you need to look towards few tokens, and build your portfolios around them. Likewise don't forget to set price alerts on your phone for brisk notification.

Different persons have different choices , to me good coins or tokens with real use case is easier to said most importantly when market condition is highly up/down . IF its work with a solid portfolio with good projects / coins it will be very rewarding and full of bucks . My opinion will be top CMC top 10 are good for building a solid portfolio with good projects / tokens / coins . So, by far selecting the investment item is still the most important thing to do .
