Title: Which crypto social platforms do you use?
Post by: EvilMilk on July 24, 2019, 04:40:53 PM
Tired of reading news platforms that are nothing but paid press-releases and interviews with yet another 'successful' founder of 'put any ico/ieo you could think of', I came up with an idea to search and study user-generated crypto platforms that could outstrip the other ones here on the Net.

The goal is to finally find an aggregator type of a platform with decent reviews, analytics, etc. No doubt the idea is pretty simple and trivial and there's already such a site as bitcointalk (which is number 1 rn), but I don't remember seeing files in a long read format often.

So, replying to the following questions would help me immensely:
Which of the platforms do you use and why?
What other platforms except for Bitcointalk forum you read?
Do you have your own blog on any of the platforms?

I participate in some other forums, they aren't as crypto-focused as BT, but they have crypto sections. Other than that I used altpocket.io for a bit (not the owner, but I was part of beta testing). Other than that, I don't really have other sites I use, although I would like to plan and develop some in the future for sure.

I have felt such unease too as regards cryptocurrency related news churches out from different corners knowing that they are all influenced news. I think the only better option is Cointelegraph.com since they are more like a general social platform with reportage on various aspects of cryptocurrency and its development

Well yeah, actually there are several platforms that are interesting to participate. So far, besides using the bitcointalk forum, I also sometimes research the new coins form another crypto forum such as altcoin talks, We can also find on Bounty Hive platform, or Bounty miner, and others. telegram group is also o=another way to get updated news of the crypto project and development. But of course, before investing, beware to research them carefully.

Apart from bitcointalk forum, other cryptocurrency social platforms that I use are mostly bounty related in the likes of bountyOx, bountyhive, telegram and WhatsApp groups that are Crypto related.

I haven't used the crypto social platform yet, and in the past few days I want to try the publishox platform which works very easily and simply,
for others I've never used it.

Never heard of "publishox", you have a TLDR? Sounds like an interesting platform.
it's the same as steemit and medium. I had used the social platforms that powered by blockchain like online.io, indorse, and socialx. But only one platform can survive because it's too difficult to compete with the centralized platforms.

I was using Steemit for posting and read blogs. But I am not anymore.
I've just started to use murmur. It is more easy from steemit and I think it is useful.

Besides this forum, Steemit and medium may be the most I use as crypto social platforms. It serves the new projects, news, and also other information including the discussion. However, we can also find out about the crypto social such as in several ICO updates, coin schedule, Bountyhuve platform, Banchor, and so on.

Although Cointelegraph is really one of the best news platforms to me and I use it all the time, I'm thinking of other platforms with user-generated content. The reason is I want to look at things fand what's hapening in crypto from a different, very common angle.

I am reading a lot of crypto news on Steemit and Medium and think that those are great crypto related blogs, where you can find useful information. Moreover, there are several forums like Bitcointalk, for example: Altcointalks, Moonforum and so on.

I don't have a blog or anything else, let alone a platform. I only use the bitcointalk platform. I call this platform a gold mine, why is that ...?
because I feel that this platform is all ICO or IEO programs seeking funding from investors. they use this platform to see developments and choose the best projects without a scam. maybe there are many other platforms besides BitCointalk that offer programs almost the same as BitCointalk, but they still can't be as busy as this platform because there are many investors who have observed and used this platform to invest their money.

As you've said most of them are biased one way or other. Coindesk and Cointelegraph is what I use most and the TNW and Verge are also covering a wide range of crypto news now. Other than that, the google suggests me several related contents on the feed and I just read the ones that I find interesting.

First off, nice topic. Prefer watching opinion leaders on YouTube. Speaking of the text forms, twitter and forums are a good choice. Also would be nice to find some type of analogy to Medium but with crypto related topics only.

There are quite a good number of Cryptocurrency social platforms, I have particularly signed up with cryptocoinpravda, Steemit, minds, reddit and this current one among few others. It does matter which platform the news is first seen on, some others can confirm it. Some of these platforms however are not just authentic sources of the news, we may get the information from them and eventually look for the source through them for verification

Hm.. never in my life did I see crypto on Instagram. Ofc there are some profiles..but the number is way less than on other platfroms. To me, Instagram is more about photos, not  articles..don't think we've cool authors there at all.

Publis0x, Steemit, Bitcointalk and altcoinstalksforum.
But as I think so we really need social platform like Voice from EOS. I hope that they will have a success and 2 billion of people will move from Facebook to Voice, where they be more safe with their personal datas.

I don't think Medium would qualify as a crypto social media platform. I use steemit, minds, cryptosocial majorly, that's asides BTT, altcoinstalk, and bitcoingarden. I'm looking to join some more though, within the block chain space you need to network and meet new people, who knows, Satoshi might want to link up. ;)

I think this is exactly where you want to be. I know places like ccn and so forth are fully paid stuff and there is barely anything new in there that we don't already know but honestly if you keep going to those places then they will continue to get paid for press releases and this will continue in a circle, you need to stop reading those places and they will have less visitors which means people will pay less to them so they will have to make better journalism.

Just visit here and read topics here and messages so forth, go visit reddit as well since its user generated and votes decide what is good and what is bad which means press releases get down voted to hell. Aside from this two that is basically controlled by the general public you do not need any new place.

Curious why nobody mentioned Steemit. Here, you can leave your messages, communicate, do various short tasks, and even get awarded for all of it. Thus, Steem has become a very popular token. If on Facebook and Twitter you are not awarded for your posts, staying active here, you can really earn cryptocurrencies.

Actually, there is only one small problem here. You can sign in for free for 2 weeks only. Then, you have to pay.

The ambassador program is worth mentioning, too. As a person with much of an audience, this could be a great way of getting more money.  I mean if it is really just dubbling the content onto the platform.. $25G in btc is worth it.

comparation between ico review site and our own analisys will give best result.each of analisys has the weakness and by combining it will complete each other and give less risk of failed in projects.but it will take more our time.
