USD single currency is the base of the market everyone can easily accept it. so, in my opinion, it can dominate the crypto market

Yes, bitcoin has a margin at this time in the Marketcap, but loosed the first position in daily VOLUMEN because USD. Yes, I know, it is only "Tether" :D and working on the Bitcoin blockchain. But it is the USD behind. We HOPE :D
The third position, ETH is interesting, because Tether was able to get the first position through the trades with ETH. ETH in USDT. Please see on Marketcap sometimes the Market stat also :)

I think, it will be started a new HYPE for ETH. (and some other Alt's, what is INTERESTING (spell: SELECTED) for STANDARD INVESTORS)

There is no longer any debate when I choose Bitcoin.
Although USDT is traded more, its value is the same, it's just a necessary tool to make trading easier between pairs.
but to talk about the benefits of holding, I'm sure Bitcoin will be number 1. it has a mechanism of reducing inflation and especially having a larger and bigger purchase every year!

USDT is paired to BTC whch is why its being used and is a preferred pair for it to increase profit. You will have less chance to profit if you trade BTC/ALTCOIN and so the reason why USDT have huge volume per day. Checking dominance in coinmarketcap shows BTC has 69% that should answer the question considering the site's AI is providing correct data.

Yes, but USDT is not the answer, rather USD is the answer! Because the value of USDT is tied with USD. People use USDT for the convenience and less fees! But ultimately the value of bitcoin is derived in USD only! I personally prefer USDT as a trade pair because it is very convenient to calculate the profitability! There's no other special reason for using USDT.

Tether volumes are so crappy fake that it isn't even worth taking into consideration. It's close to impossible to cash out to actual fiat unless you go to Bitfinex and beg them to process your withdrawal request (which they aren't too keen on because they don't have much USD to begin with). People are incentivized to trade back and forth because there isn't much else it can be used for.

Paying attention to what exchanges as Coinbase and Bitstamp for example generate in USD is much more of a reflection of what's going on. The trend has been that the actual USD volumes have consistently gone down a lot, while the Tether volumes remained consistently high because of what I said above.

This depends on what the OP is basically trying to say. If the regular coin that will be the highest than it is obviously gonna be bitcoin, doesn't matter if dollar becomes more cyrpto or doesn't matter if USA makes their own crypto currency literally backed by the government.

I mean facebook is about to drop Libra and they are literally basically backed by USA government, because they get permission from the USA branch SEC and if Libra goes down then USA will have to guarantee peoples money back if it turns out like a scam or something, of course I doubt it will because its literally facebook.

However, if he means the base pair then USDT seems to be going strong and I doubt it will change any time soon, its literally the only common thing in all of exchanges except bitcoin and ethereum.

USDT isn't a cryptocurrency. It's a token.

We all know which cryptocurrency is dominating and will continue to dominate. Bitcoin's getting more entrenched by the day. Another bubble or two and there won't be the barest possibility of anything else popping along and it's already there pretty much.

USD isnt crypto, anything which is relying on centralized value and control is not really anything new just a rehash of digital currency already existing for a long time.   Not sure why USD is mentioned so many times in the poll, perhaps this itself is an indicator as we reach a peak in Dollar domination of global reserve assets it will make sense for value to be more distributed across many mediums and with more nations involved in deciding value of FIAT or anything else.
    I hope we move towards free trade in future or at least away from one nation being so involved with value as it brings bias and favour to those most closely related to the source.    I personally benefit from this bias afaik but I believe we'll all be better off with a system backed by trade not debt as we have now, politics is too involved in economics so that the cart is leading the donkey.  We are going to end up in a ditch most likely carrying on that way.
   This is why crypto is so different because its not tied to any one point, currency or country.    If we're here just talking about USD , tether, Ripple or anything else fixed and bound then I think we are looking backwards not forwards where change to status quo will likely occur because FIAT is not working.

The poll is rather confusing to me.

The question is "Which currency will dominate the crypto market?" So why is there is no Bitcoin as an option? USD is all over the options. Bitcoin is dominating the cryptocurrency market. Can you not see it in CMC? The dominance of Bitcoin in the crypto market is around 70%. That is crystal clear. Why talk of volume as your argument when you are asking about dominance? If you talk of dominance, you should take into consideration the market cap.

I think he shorts out the volume data, so you see Tether is at the number 1 in the CMC. But if you use the standard image from CMC, you will see bitcoin still at number 1. You will get another result if you short out or short in the data.

I don't think the currency (usdt and else) will dominate the crypto market because it is hard to beat the bitcoin price, but maybe those tether have a big volume so the position will be at the number 1.

Any coins can not beat BTC dominating because they are behind of bitcoin itself. So if they say that this currency will dominate the crypto, I don't think that will happen. The present of Tether gives solution to people to have a stable coin to invest than they choose bitcoin or altcoin for the solution. And if they don't want to see the value of every coin they have was decrease, maybe they can convert they altcoin into bitcoin to see what is happening later.

GovCoins will be backed by the country of origin and it depends on what countries would be "digitizing" their fiat currency first. If the USA decides to launch it's first fiat backed Crypto currency, then they would dominate the Crypto currency scene for a while, but they will get strong competition from China and the UK. <We will just see a mirror image of what is happening with Fiat currencies now.>  ::)

Once people see the dangers of GovCoins, they will turn to Bitcoin and you will see Bitcoin <BTC> dominance again.  ;D

I don't understand your poll because your option is showing as if usd belongs to cryptocurrency group, when we are talking of cryptocurrency, please talk better currencies and not the usd that is full on your poll.

In cryptocurrency market, bitcoin still remains the lead and will remain the best and most reliable coins for transactions, but in the other world of currencies outside, cryptocurrency, of course,  usd is their leader but the usd will lose its glory so too and what many people will be used to in near future is still bitcoin.

For tether and bitcoin, please is what people will always use the more, although, there is a stage where they will still need usdt to be able to hold some of their profits or capital down, but for transactions like trading and payments, of course bitcoin will always remain the best of them all.

OP's poll is not well directed. If the currency you mean is cryptocurrency or fiat is not clear as many response is in between. So I will pick dollar for fiat and btc for cryptocurrency.

Pretty sure it's left out on purpose , but here the thing about usdt a cryptocurrency that claimed each token is backed by one us dollar which until now it's been debatable,  this token is really dangerous.

How? First of all usdt is centralized... tether Ltd as a company is the one who has a power on issuing the tokens and that's make it vulnerable,  I won't trust on this kind system.

Even though everyone knew about this and some people even believe that usdt / tether Ltd has something to hide & has another agenda ... a lot of people continue using usdt as a safe haven everytime bitcoin dropped so hard. A bit ironic to see this phenomenon.

Tether will not have this much value if there is no bitcoin and other volatile cryptos so it means its only used for trading purpose.Once crypto adopted by most people here then tether will lose its value.

USDT is currently used the most because of its price stability and the convention of USDT = USD. The total trading volume of USDT is the highest as it done on many different pairs on a lot of exchanges on CMC. That is why USDT has a very large total trading volume.

If you are asking about which fiat currency is dominating, then we all know it's Bitcoin. And if you are asking about that of cryptocurrency, of course, Bitcoin will be leading.
However, if you are asking which fait is mostly used in the purchase of cryptocurrency, then it's mostly the USD but many people are using other altcoins to purchase BTC when available .

Methinks it is meant as a joke.  And of course I had to vote "other" since the question is about the dominant currency of the crypto market, and the US dollar doesn't qualify, even if it's represented with a crap-ass shittoken such as Tether.

It's bitcoin, baby.  Bitcoin.  That's the only answer to the poll.  ETH might come in as a close second, but bitcoin is always going to be king--unless something better comes along and the devout bitcoin community disintegrates.  Neither thing is likely to happen, however.

I wouldn't argue against that, but USD isn't a cryptocurrency and comparing bitcoin to USD is a case of apples and oranges.  Everytime I think of the two together, the only thing I can think of is that the US government is in the process of cranking out money as fast as they can, whereas no one can do this with bitcoin.  That's one of the amazing things about bitcoin IMO.

Most users have stated the mistake regarding the polling. I too have the same, when we talk about cryptocurrency we cannot add USD to the list. Among the cryptocurrency available bitcoin will be the dominant, in the future bitcoin is gonna stay dominant against USD because USD is being printed without limits which will surely lead to the loss of value while bitcoin with limited supply causes the growth and increase in the dominance.

More than likely, the OP meant USDT on this poll not the USD. But in any case, bitcoin should be included in the options. The poll is quite useless. And I don't think bitcoin will be beaten by eth or USDT in the future. At the moment, no one can compete with the scope of bitcoin's popularity. Even ordinary individuals, when you ask if they know crypto, they will first think of bitcoin and nothing else.

tether to date has the highest volume and even beat bitcoin. but, I have an opinion that the need for bitcoin will continue to increase. although at the moment bitcoin is still ranked 2 in the coinmarketcap with the most volume, but I'm sure the use of bitcoin out there is still more needed than tether. in addition, crypto users prioritize the development of bitcoin to date.

Tether is not same as bitcoin or litecoin since the availability is different.

If the creator of tether wants they can print 1 billion tether over night which is same as the USD which means te value differs compared to bitcoin which is soley depends on the demand not based on the USD value.

I honestly think that he means like base pair, like what will be the main thing bitcoin is traded for, otherwise this makes no sense at all. The reality is that usdt and usd is actually fighting with each other on crypto market, some exchanges makes you trade bitcoin and usd directly, some exchanges just offer usdt instead, that is why there is a big fight in crypto base pair world where usd and usdt is actually fighting. Hell if you add in "fiat to btc or stable to btc" type of deal there it gets even a higher volume and very very risky as well, that is why I honestly believe that OP is asking about that, at least that has a discussion point and you may actually argue which is bigger or even do researches about it.

I don't know but maybe you missed it, it is already in the pool and I think bitcoin is not included to what they OP is saying. It is true though, it don't have an intrinsic value, but obviously I will be going with another USD. The idea might be used in the future and we will be seeing a USD in this technology.

I see that for some reason, the proposed list contains stable coins that generally cannot dominate the cryptocurrency market. For some time, bitcoin will definitely dominate, and no one can predict what will happen next. Bitcoin does not scale for too long and I do not yet see any real possibilities for it. because there are so many people mentioning bitcoin now and they are often fomo for new people, from there the wave of bitcoin will expand further and its buying demand will increase.
For USDT, it is a myth but it is only at the level of necessity, it is not considered dominant because it is stablecoin.

10 years is quite a bit long and there are many unexpected events that can happen during that date . there are those possibilities that bitcoin can be surpass by other coins  and bitcoin can only became the second ranked coin or lower than that but i find it okay  .

 no problem about the ranks but what important for me is that btc is still the original and first  so i will still continue to show my respect and support on it   .

Remember Libra admitted that they may never launch this project for everyone and also lot of governments against them or having tight regulations to follow up which may hinder them but now libra cannot be considered as competitor for dominating cryptos.

After so many cases that facebook have gone through which most of them are violating the privacy of their customers as to the very recent case which happen they secretly record every voice call and convert it to text (correct me if im wrong) idk why but that could potentially used to target their advertisement to be more accurate but still is not appropiate I doubt people will really trust facebook anymore.

I am a person who likes to predict the future and likes to invest in businesses with potential for technology as well as growth.
Regarding this new blockchain field, I think that Ethereum will be the dominant enterprise in cryptocurrency after 10 years. When this technology is used in many places and businesses, the Ethereum platform is indispensable and of course, Bitcoin will be dropped.

Right, there is no problem about ranking because the most important thing is that crypto will always be there. I made a choice regarding ethereum and USDT.  USDT is the cryptocurrency equivalent of the dollar, which makes it possible to minimize losses in the fall of the cryptocurrency market due to its stability.  The use of USDT has already increased several times today and occupies almost 40% of the total capacity of the Ethereum blockchain.  But I also consider Ethereum as the leader of the cryptocurrency market, which is not only a platform for smart smart contracts, but will soon be widely used as a means of payment.

Your assumption is wrong about USDT. It will never dominate the crypto market, no matter how huge its market volume is. It is because USDT is dominantly used as base currency rather than trading currency. Almost 90% of USDT's volume is due to its use as base currency and only about 10% amounts to speculative activities. Now the problem is if the currency is used as base currency, its market volume will change only when supply changes. However, market volume of other cryptocurrencies changes when either price or supply changes. The increase in price is more robust than increase is supply, so in short USDT can never beat the dynamicity and robustness of other cryptocurrencies.

Even though bitcoin is on the second spot, tether is still just an altcoin, look at its price compare to bitcoin, I know you are not blind. The fluctuations of the market's price for every coins affects our daily trading profits, but, if this fluctuations goes up, there is no doubt that bitcoin's price will skyrocket and will dominate the market again, that is why even though it is place on second as right now, I'd still choose it when I would be investing my money on cryptocurrency.

I do have high hopes in bitcoin, because it never failed to amaze me, and it is the one who gives me bigger profits compare to the coins that I have in my wallet.

Tether will only be a usd comparison to make it easier for someone trading novices in making calculations. because no doubt if only bitcoin can indeed be very complicated to understand its trading position. tether makes it easy. but to become the dominant coin market I think bitcoin will always dominate the market because bitcoin is a comparison of thousands of other altcoins.

because a few days ago, I read the news about the sudden hashrate of bitcoin. Experts also believe that it will continue to decline with unexplained causes. Therefore, when this hashrate slips too much, the price will drop even more because of the beliefs that go down.

Stablecoins cannot be the dominant currency in the market. It is unreasonable that it is just a means to help investors avoid storms and can buy or sell more easily, to avoid being affected by market fluctuations.
For me, the coins that can influence the market the most have good technology platforms like ethereum or eos, LOOM, ...

Bitcoin and Ethereum are two coins that have large volumes. Until now it seems to me that still dominates the Bitcoin market only. However, for a steady coin I guess there's nothing because all the coins, of course, the selling value is easily subjected to change.

The goal of the trade is to generate profit. And what I experienced to make a big profit for me is Bitcoin and Ethereum. So I believe that these two coins will bring thriving crypto and users and investors will continue to grow.

Obviously nobody knows this beforehand and there may be a lot of change in the market until 10 years later.

But IMO in the present case, BTC will continue on its way. Because after many years it has gathered this power and needs many changes to give the throne to another. So far, hundreds of coins/tokens have been created on the market that were stronger than BTC but none have been able to replace it.  ;)

There isnt any coin stronger then Bitcoin and a simple comparison of cost to attack every blockchain places BTC as the most costly for those that wish to steal or defraud.   This I think quite strongly relates to the cost and worth of the blockchain as it allows greater amounts to be trusted to that blockchain.
   Its been quite obvious with some of the smaller blockchains especially as their popularity may not always be regular and reliable is that they are vulnerable and unfortunately subject to breaches of confidence from attacks performed.   Its a relevant consideration for which blockchain is most likely to succeed, I always thought Proof of stake should come forward at some point but so far I've been wrong in this belief.   On efficiency, cost and involvement of its population it could do very well and in theory a free market will always promote efficiency

Which I think these are the two coins that will eventually dominate the market forever, the reason why I said forever is that I have seen the best of most of these coins in form of altcoins and till now, none of them have been able to even meet up to one third standard of any of these two coins, so if no solid projects that I have seen other than these two coins have still not been able to dominate the market, then i don't see any other new coin coming up again being able to dominate these two coins or the market.

It is as if these two coins already have all the solutions to every problem that all these altcoins could think of and they fill in the space, so people will always go for these two coins rather than going for coins that they don’t know. The devil that you know is better than the angel that you don't know.

Bitcoin will still dominate the crypto market with many people still trading bitcoin pair usdt or else. Besides of bitcoin, ethereum will be the next coin that also dominates the market. The other coins still follow behind them, and it's hard to compete with bitcoin and ethereum because both bitcoin and ethereum have strong support from the people. But ethereum can be beaten if the other coins have strong support too, but I guess it still difficult to compete with ethereum even with bitcoin.

With a trading volume and activities around bitcoin every day, bitcoin is actually probably the one character who gets the most votes for a dominant position in the crypto market, and the dominance of bitcoin has not been established recently, it has been established for too long in the crypto market, recently just an increase in the dominance rate. Ethereum may be strong but it may have accepted the position behind bitcoin, its dominance is very limited, what I expect most is probably libra coin when too much discussed it, this is also a characters can compete and dominate the crypto market

Even though the topic wasn't very directly expressed. But one thing is for sure, when it comes to crypto, Bitcoin has been there for long and has gained the dominance and I don't see anything that will topple Bitcoin's dominance. It has taken years to get to that level. Aside dominating the crypto sphere, Bitcoin has over and over proved to show that it will never go away. Others will only rally behind it while it remains dominant.

I'm not sure just because it's stable in the crypto market. allows a coin to dominate the market. the most important basic thing is the usefulness and main purpose of coin it self. if it is not clear and only because of the market volume it does not promise a coin can always be a top coin.

The "current" problem with Bitcoin is that it is largely non-scalable.
Completion of the transfers in as long as 1 hour shows that Bitcoin is not going to do much for adaptation. But because it is limited, it can create a value paradox like diamonds. That's why the price of Bitcoin can go too high.
But in the long run, we should use cryptocurrencies which has much faster TPS rates instead of Bitcoin.

Could be interesting to see what happens 5, 10 years from now. I definitely see a future where blockchain technology is adopted, but decentralization is unable to make it big. We've already seen countries like Venezuela, China, and other ones start to adopt new currencies and even start making their own.

I envision a world where each big country (China, USA, etc) have their own centralized currency, and BTC is a popular secondary currency that some people prefer, but I wouldn't think it'll be popular then the centralised currencies.

Maybe OP were confused in some things in Trading. According to his picture, tether made it to the top but it was not even worth it for me to invest my money in, what's happening in the market now is my chance to buy more Bitcoin as an investment. Bitcoin gives me more assurance than the other coins when it comes on earning profits in the process, it is all putting your faith in a certain coin that puts you where you are now.

Stable coins where likely most popular investment option during the bear market, where bitcoin and other altcoins where super unstable, most investors that wanted to be secured started to look towards safer options like tether and other stablecoins backed by fiat currencies.

Bitcoin definitely has better the better technology behind it, but I don't think it'll be stable enough to be a good option long term. Much prefer stablecoins for day to day transactions.

I'd hedge my bets on goverments adopting their own crypto-currencies in the future and then those currencies being used as the main payment source.

I vote for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin because I believe the cryptocurrency has huge potential in the future. If you look at the cryptocurrency market at the moment you can see the market is already dominated by bitcoin with over 67% followed by ethereum, ripple, and litecoin. I forgot, BNB also has huge potential too.

There's no doubt that Bitcoin will dominate every cryptocurrency and the rest will only rally behind it. A lot of people are trying to imitate Bitcoin by creating their own yet none of them succeeded and the rest of it will always be called as altcoins.

The USDT market has now dominated compared to other stable coins, USDT dominated the highest trading volume by 34% while BTC is only 27% based on current CMC sources.

From the chart, a few interesting things came to my notice. For example, the market capitalization of Tether is just around $4.1 billion. However, the daily trade volumes are more than 4 times of this amount. How this can be possible? Either the Tether trade volumes are being inflated by a factor or 10x or 20x, or the calculation of the Tether market cap is wrong.

Ideally we should not be including stablecoins such as Tether in our calculations while talking about cryptocurrency. Bitcoin will dominate, it's the biggest and best crypto. I don't think USD is that relevant really. Prices against fiat are always quoted in USD, but that doesn't mean that people use USD to buy it. Personally the only fiat I have used is GBP, and before that when crypto wasn't purchasable with UK currency I converted the GBP to Euros to buy in.

So once we remove fiat and ask which crypto will dominate, it has to be Bitcoin. Other coins have other uses, but none of them has ever really shown any sign of taking top spot. The only ones that have come vaguely close are ETH and XRP, but they are coins with a specific and limited use case. They both have great potential, just not as much as multi-purpose Bitcoin.

Bitcoin and Ethereum still have the chance to dominate the market. A many applications and wallet accepts BTC and ETH it can be bought in any fiat. Bitcoin is the only thing I can think that would dominate the crypto market. If we will observe bitcoin is more likely the center of transaction or we can classify it as the mother of all coins just for an example as we enter the exchanges we can see that all altcoins are convertible into Bitcoin. I am only in Crypto trading, investing and Bounty campaigns. From where I am working on this I see that very dominating the coin market is Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bitcoin is clear that this coin is the first digital currency.

Ethereum is a coin with a big supporter because this coin is used to platform many projects ICO, IEO, and STO. So I argue that for long-term investments or trading Bitcoin and Ethereum are very precise. In addition in the year, 2019 Bitcoin has been back up very high reaching $10,000 more.

I do not see in any way that Libra can neutralize the decentralized system of bitcoin because everything all depends on the choice of people. They might create a centralized system, but it would be impossible for them to impose it on people, and once people see that they are not benefiting from it which I know that they can never benefit from a centralized coin, they will surely stick to decentralization and this is why no matter how powerful that a decentralized coin maybe, there is no way they can ever bit the bitcoin.

This coin will always remain the most powerful coin on earth, except maybe Libra is willing to operate a full decentralized system, then I can have the fear that it could take away the power of bitcoin away, but till then, there is no way that decentralization can be nullified.

Regarding "which coin will dominate", I'm going to go with Dogecoin.

This remarkable little coin has had no development for years (which the exchanges love because they don't have to keep updating wallets). And you agree that DOGE has seen no development for many years now. Those who created this coin (Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus) are not involved in it anymore and they have moved on with other projects.

One of your arguments is true. It's value is not increasing (for obvious reasons) and therefore people find no reason to hoard it. The fee is very low, and therefore it is being used for payments in a lot of online stores. But in order to remain as a currency, it should have some value associated with it. And ideally a coin that is created just for a joke should not be having any.

I agree that libra is not going to be benefitable to the community who is using cryptos now but still 99.9 people don't know about decentralized applications so they might think that libra is the real and trusted crypto currency since its one of the monopoly of social media company so we might not be scammed.

I don't expect a coin with ZERO development to survive in the game for too long. It was created as a joke and the developers are no longer interested in it. Tether volumes are not real. In some countries, it is not allowed to trade cryptocurrencies against fiat currency (such as the United States Dollar or the Chinese Yuan). Exchanges based in these countries give the option of trading against USDT as opposed to USD. Since the trade occurs within the exchange, real Tether is not used in most of the cases. The exchanges use it as a temporary store of value. The vast majority of the USDT trade volume actually comprises of USD. Only bitcoin dominance in crypto market now, check or open coin market cap and you can see how many percent of bitcoin dominance every day, for today I see bitcoin dominance about 66% and could raise to 70% next day, why altcoin less dominance because price keep lower and bitcoin can give hope for investor and have higher dominance.

On the other hand, i find that Bitcoin is the only real competitor when it comes to cryptocurrencies and real world adoption. Unfortunately the other altcoins have proven themselves too slow to growth or adoption. Even Ethereum is hard pressed to churn out new developments, but hopefully i am proven wrong soon.

In that case, stablecoins such as Tether (USDT), USDC and Pax USD should also be excluded from the voting list. They may be in a format that is similar to the other cryptocurrencies, but they are not decentralized and their exchange rate is pegged to the US Dollar. I would consider them just as digital versions of fiat currency rather than real cryptocurrencies.

Now coming to the development, Bitcoin is the only coin that is guaranteed of continuous development. Because no other cryptocurrency can boast of such a large and selfless team of developers, that BTC possesses. ETH is far behind and the problem with Ether is that the developers are also the promoters. Pay attention that USD losing dominance doesn't mean Bitcoin takes its place automatically. The Yuan, the EURO and maybe others will try to dominate, and maybe there will be a new currency will arise which is an aggregate of the USD, EURO, YUAN and a couple of other strong currencies. Bitcoin actually may be part of it, but it's unlikely. Bitcoin doesn't aim to replace the US dollar or any other top fiat currency. The main problem with BTC is that it's too unstable. It can literally go from $3,000 to $14,000 in some months. The Dollar and the Euro don't have these problems. One dollar is one dollar, it will not lose or gain a lot of purchasing power over night. BTC is great but not as currency, and because of this it cannot be dominant in any fiat currency market, but will remain dominant in the Crypto market.

USDT can have a very high trading volume like that because I think USDT can be used in many places and does not have a country limit as happened in bitcoin which has certain restrictions in some places, as long as the demand is very high then the volume can increase as happened at USDT.

There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the most stable cryptocurrency out there (if we exclude the stablecoins such as Tether and Pax). Earlier when there was turbulence in the market, people used to convert the altcoins to BTC, in order to save the net wealth. But with the popularity of Tether (USDT), Bitcoin has lost this role. There is a fine distinction between USD and cryptocurrencies as their nature is the anti-thesis of each other.

USD is regulated by the government and CENTRALIZED in nature. It is the main currency and medium of exchange of people residing in the USA with the Central Bank governing and controlling its supply in the market.
On the other hand, cryptocurrencies are DECENTRALIZED in nature having a limited cap and supply depending on the person who created such currency. Currently, cryptocurrencies are seen as an alternative option for payment but it cannot be regarded and viewed on the same field as currencies.

I will tell you more about my thoughts. I think of bitcoin as a big trap created by sharks. It is a game and it seems to be attracting a lot of people and its price has pushed up quite high and the volume is also very large. other alts and usdt are just tools to push the price of bitcoin. So my opinion is that Bitcoin is really a big game, its price affects the whole crypto market and it is definitely the dominant coin.

The convenience is the reason every one who trade use USDT because of the liquidity in all the big exchanges, i usually sell the coins using USDT and then i will not be holding for a long period of time if i am withdrawing to fiat currency but if i am trading i will be using USD trading pair and it all depends upon which exchange i am using and with the halving coming up, bitcoin will dominate as always.

oh sorry but i dont think so. USDT is also a coin that is priced based on the price of USD. so if war happens, USDT will definitely decrease in value. Therefore, I believe that Bitcoin will remain its position, Dominance will increase in the future, not decrease. it must be the highest valued coin for the market to function normally. Bitcoin shows the most potential out of all the others on the cryptocurrency market, that's why a fair amount of people trust it, and ever since bitcoin reached an all time high last 2017, it had become a mainstream coin and basically became the face of cryptocurrency for quite some time. I think if investors will choose bitcoin as a place to make investments it is a very smart choice but the supply of bitcoin is very limited and only 21 million pieces of bitcoin so that it will make the unstable bitcoin price conditions make the price go up and down without anyone can predict so that it will provide a very high risk.

It's been 10 years but the bitcoin is still dominating the market, I also observed that most of people are only aware about bitcoin and they do not have knowledge about altcoins. I'm sure that the bitcoin will remain at top. I do not agree that time will come where an altcoin will replace bitcoin at the top. Bitcoin is still dominating the crypto space up until now. All the other alts or tokens are just secondary. Many have attempted to compete or beat bitcoin, yet, they are not successful in adoption even if their technology is much better than bitcoin. Adoption is a very difficult task to embark on and most of them failed on that aspect.

We have clear indications that we are entering a new financial crisis. Sooner or later a bubble is going to blow for a country that has problems paying its debts. This is going to weaken fiat currencies at least fo the country that has problems.

This is very obvious. Bitcoin is already leading the market with a cap of almost 50% of the entire cryptocurrency market. This dominance is not ceasing any time soon and Bitcoin will lead the market for years. Ethereum will close in the gap when it launches its Ethereum 2.O but that will not even surpass BTC dominance.

BTC is always the highest above all as a currency, but there are more cryptocurrency that has a potential to become an alternative for bitcoin in the market. There are a lot of new digital currencies that are existing in the market right now, most of them can also give you profit if you learn how to manipulate them properly.

But BTC is still the best although it's volatile, the profit that it can give you during spike in price is really huge enough compared to those altcoins. You just need to deal with its volatility, adjust, adapt and manipulate it properly so that you have reasonable results that you will benefit of. 

Bitcoin dominated a lot of other currency long time ago, but bitcoin has a lot of work to do for itself to develop and become better over time. I think tether will play a vital role in the market cap in the upcoming years. Though it is only 2-3% now but it will grow by the time. The other cryptocurrency prices are too much dependent on the BTC price so the other altcoins will not going to dominate in the near future. My take on the dominance is always bitcoin and the top two fork of bitcoin will be along with it, ETH will be the next coin in the market that is dominating the market but when it comes to USDT people usually purchase the coin to hold the value while trading cryptocurrency and you cannot expect USDT to dominate for a long time, if there is a more trust able stable coin people will switch over to that.

Bitcoin will be a dominating legit coin but if you just look at the market cap it's going to be USDt or one of those other stable coins that they can print out of thin air as much as they want. Most fiat money have boundaries because the governments know that if they print too much they'll go into hyperinflation and will turn the country into chaos. A company that creates a stablecoin doesn't have such concerns. They can make 1 billion and then file for bankruptcy just like that.

I actually can't think about on what currency will reign superior over Cryptocurrency since the both of them can continue to co-exist. We know that every country has their own local currency and Cryptocurrencies can be converted from it vice-versa which is a good thing since it is flexible in that way.  I still believe that every currency have the capability to co-exist with Cryptocurrency since the world is not yet ready for transitioning into the Digital Age.

Although crypto is far ahead in terms of technology analysis Bitcoin is far ahead in terms of all currencies in the crypto market. Bitcoin tops the list the market demand is huge and many profitable currencies in terms of investment. We can achieve double profit if the price increases in long term investment. The crypto market for Bitcoin has risen so high and survived bitcoin will dominate the crypto market.

I think bitcoin is a digital currency that will reign superior the crypto market. USDT is just a second position to bitcoin and then the ETH. We can see that after a couple of years bitcoin still at the top  from other currencies and it can provide us higher profit when it's value climb high unlike to a stable currency.

Bitcoin has dominated the cryptocurrency market for the last 12 years or so, and in the near future also that will be the case. Only for a brief period in 2017, Ethereum came close to overtaking Bitcoin in terms of market cap. But now there is quite some distance between Bitcoin and the second ranked cryptocurrency. And technologically advanced coins are struggling now. People are more concerned about the acceptability and adoption than the technology.

I choses Eth over bitcoin in the poll survey. My opinion is that bitcoin time is done and  I think it is the eth that shoulf be the next in the limelight. This is my prediction but I know that it will be a hard to think that ETH will really be going to dominate. But who knows? it will going to happen? I like your optimism about Ethereum, but facts on ground doesn't support your arguments. ETH had its first token sale more than 6 years ago, in 2014. It came very close to overtaking Bitcoin (in terms of market capitalization) in 2017, but after that everything went downhill for Ethereum. Overhyped events, such as the ICO/IEO boom, ETH 2.0 and DeFi may be able to give it temporary spikes. But IMO, ETH is gradually sliding towards oblivion. We have far better alternatives available now.

USD is already dominating the market so I think the results here will be probably bitcoin since it's a btc forum.

USD is the most used, even at the cryptocurrency market, BTC/USD trading is very often and also in forex exchanges.

If by price difference you mean the cost per coin I think that is comparing apples to oranges.  Bitcoin has the 21M cap with only 400 coins getting minted a day. Ethereum already had 111.5 M in circulation by July this year and minting a LOT more than 400/day. Still Ethereum is providing some very interesting capabilities that bitcoin doesn't like its smart contracts.  Time will tell, but I am long on both  8)
