Title: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet. Post by: coinlocket$ on September 15, 2019, 01:29:40 PM If I have found a wallet with 30 addresses and I have the proof that the owner of the wallet cheated with 10 or more accounts, do you will tag all accounts on the wallet?
My investigation is ongoing but this person has around 30 accounts on the same wallet, maybe a lot more looking on the merit suspicious history. Title: Re: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet. Post by: AB de Royse777 on September 15, 2019, 01:38:23 PM Abusing bounty is tagable if there are solid connection between accounts. So I do not think this is an issue at all. However if it comes up like this that this is my friends account and he does not know how to use a bitcoin wallet then it's hard to prove. The same can happen with family members :-P
Imagine: Husband, wife, son, daughter, grand ma, grand pa, nephew, niece and possibly all are using same wallet and have different bitcointalk accounts. Title: Re: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet. Post by: coinlocket$ on September 15, 2019, 01:45:53 PM For sure nobody has 10 random friends that want to join on the same thing, at the same time, on the same forum with the same wallet.
They are obvious alts. The question is for the others accounts, they are now used on relevant signatures and if I will tag them all So even if maybe has no cheated with the very high-rank accounts... (I'm still looking at the history of these accounts) does he deserve a tag on every account? Title: Re: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet. Post by: The Sceptical Chymist on September 15, 2019, 02:03:15 PM I stopped tagging members based on that kind of evidence a while ago, because invariably I'd hear from one or more of the accounts that they were pooling funds in a single wallet to avoid some sort of exchange fees--and while I think it's far more likely that cheating is what's happening, it certainly is possible that what these people told me is the truth. In the end, I don't know what to believe so I started giving them the benefit of the doubt.
That said, I'm only one member of DT and others might feel very differently and would be willing to tag accounts based on address linkage. In fact I'm pretty sure of it. On the other hand, there are a lot of new DT members and some of the old ones have dropped off the list, so who knows. Keep up the good detective work in any case. Edit: I see the merit connections and my name is there on the picture, but I have no connection with Indamuck. Just sayin'. Title: Re: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet. Post by: YOSHIE on September 15, 2019, 02:16:26 PM If, the address that is connected to the Alt account, is contained in the user's profile, the same address and registered at the same bounty.
I agree, will mark everything if it is proven that Alt cheated on one campaign. And vice versa, like @ Royse777, say. Some people who are new to bounty are quite layperson in terms of transferring assets, so they need someone to do it. Who are quite professional in the sale of assets, coins / tokens obtained from gifts, to certain markets. Note: If, as I mentioned above, proven Alt and cheating in one bounty, I have the same thoughts as you. Title: Re: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet. Post by: suchmoon on September 15, 2019, 03:11:31 PM I used my Stake addy for that survey, so if someone else did that too, you can probably find a connection this way. Your address is part of a wallet with ~17k addresses (https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/0001b30b6e15c663/addresses), and most exchange/gambling site/etc wallets would look like that. What coinlocket$ uncovered looks very much like someone's private wallet, merely 26 addresses. I'd love to hear the explanation from the accounts involved. I had 33bitcoin under my radar a 1-2 years ago and had his actual facebook profile at one point while doing my investigation. There was a mining equipment site with 33bitcoin.com which had many scam accusations. I somehow feel that both this profile and the site maybe related. BTW: Did you run bpip check for any bans on any of these profiles? Title: Re: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet. The OP can correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I am aware, your only transgression was to claim the reward for a survey multiple times. If you apologize and are sincere, you may come out with your reputation intact. If you continue to lie and deflect, you will only make yourself appear more untrustworthy. Post by: BitBustah Emerald on September 17, 2019, 01:38:35 PM I'll explain clearly, I am not trying to hide anything.A few of those accounts are my siblings. I have introduced a lot of my runescape mates to bitcointalk.org and they have used the forum. , we have a clan and I advised them on how to earn some extra bitcoin for our clan. Runescape is an online MMO incase anyone doesn't know. Probably sounds real nerdy but clans are very active and do a lot of things together. I gave them addresses to use so we would have our funds pooled and could be used for our events. I see why I am linked to banned accounts, all because they posted an address under a wallet I had accesss to. So ultimately accounts that are banned are being linked to me and I'm guessing they banned me for evasion.
additional thought, someone could send you merit, post a bitcoin address from your wallet, get banned on purpose and maliciously get someone banned they are targeting. But when you get to 15 or 20 linked accounts... "friends and family" excuse is starting to sound ridiculous. You're evading the ban right now so that will kill your chance for appeal. I understand but when you look at the wallet its mostly addresses with 1 incoming tx, This is why I am being linked to my runescape clanmates, 15-20 may sound like a lot of people to someone without a large social group ( not trying to be offensive) that is small amount for an MMO clan, I introduced many of my runescape mates to this forum in the first place. I'll stop posting as well since you are suggest that will lower my chance for an appeal. Title: Re: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet. Post by: fillippone on September 17, 2019, 02:10:11 PM If this is really something MMO Clan related, then he must be very lucky, as it would be very easy to provide solid evidences of him disseminating the BTC addresses to his clan mates via communication channels like internal forum, telegram, discord or whatever else way of communication every clan use for regular communications.
This would be a minimum requirement, as still doesn’t prove they are alts of the same person using a quite elaborate scheme. Post by: Harlot on September 17, 2019, 07:00:28 PM I'm not a DT member but that is what they usually do when all accounts are connected to a single one especially if they are found out that all the accounts are cheating one campaign. The tag would either be about cheating the campaign and if other accounts are connected to the address but isn't part of the same campaign then the tag would most likely be about being an alt account of the ones ones cheating the campaign. Either way all accounts proven to be connected to that address will get a red tag without the disapproval of any DT member here.
