Title: Altcoin price recovery
Post by: goto22 on September 26, 2019, 09:25:22 AM
The title says it all — altcoin price recovery is underway. Personally, i would be satisfied if prices go back to where they were a few days ago, but a rally that would take them higher wouldn't hurt, either.

What are your thoughts and expectations?

I doubt so for the alt coins. They have been down and down and down. I feel that only bitcoin can go back to the price a few days ago. The alt coins may just slide to nothing

Many Telegram trading channels says altcoin will recover again especially for major altcoin. Idk if that true or not but seems is gonna be happens. I see some of the altcoins on Binance start to recovery. could this be a sign of the beginning of the ALTSEASON??  :o :o

The dump was man made from the Bakkt price predictions so whales got opportunity to make lot of money but yes the rally might begins since the bear end of 2015 looks like the same chart of 2019 but nothing can be said for sure.

It's just predictions man. I mean, we know that these dump was man-made and the way to recover these price drop is if whales continue to buy and continue the rally. We never know, anything can happen though.

I am not seeing such with altcoins presently even after many said this present loss in value of btc means that a correction for altcoins is incoming, same thing happened weeks ago and nothing happened to altcoins, they keep falling and fallling

Its all just predictions, do not make the wrong move its still safer for those who wants to invest in bitcoin than altcoins, think very well before you make a move and don't fall for stupid predictions because no one can tell what will happen next

The market has crashed few days ago, and why are people so positive about it? ETH "climbed" from 165 to 170 bucks and everybody is again sure that the bulls are winning. Wake up and realise that things are much more serious than expected.

The lowest price this week was larger than the average price of first three months of this year for bitcoin and most coins. So, it's just a correction from the last bull run. And the prices would probably go small up and down as whales accumulate coins for the next bull run. Margin trading has further boosted the instability.

Yes, we have a huge drop in price, but people (mostly) think that ETH will recover sooner. They keep themselves optimistic rather than to think that their investment will turn into nothing. We never have to push our self of believing ETH's capability and also to think that it will die sooner. We have difference and we have a different perceptions towards crypto trends.

What we are seeing is some sort of balance, I mean we have seen the market suddenly went down in the last two or three days and the only explanation is that the hash power of bitcoin suddenly goes down as well. But as we started to understand what really happen (if could be just FUD) the price show some kind of a rally, ETH could be very well be back in the $200 range again.

However, I wouldn't consider it a bull run though, just a rebound, of course we need to be positive but I don't see anything that can boost the price at this point to push the price higher, let's say ETH to $300. Altcoin market is still in the bearish trend, sad to say.

I do not see any major altcoin price recovery yet.
Keep in mind that Bitcoin dominance is still around 70%,
and until some major bull run, we can't expect much of price recovery.
I even doubt most of altcoins will even survive

We really don't know how investors looked into considering altcoins up to the current situation. It is somewhat to think that a lot of altcoins are already abandoned by its developers and as well as investors keeping them at low or even dead.

Even before we saw that Bitcoin's market dominance. However, it also a developing tool that could help when BTC price goes high as it drags (some) into high also but in a certain thing that we can't deny also is that many altcoins have been out of the race even the market is already rallying.

To be fair, I do not buy you thought about altcoin price recovery. Price of altcoins has gone down and down since their price peaked in 2017, the best year for cryptocurrency. After that, price of altcoins has fallen. Only bitcoin has increased in price.

There is great activity behind it, and there is FUD and FOMO. I hope the price can return to previous level and BTC will soon rise again to 10K USD.

There is no recovery in altcoin at this time, and I disagree that all altcoins return to their original prices, because if that happens many people will suffer losses, especially daily traders and investors who like to invest in the long term.

I am still looking forward to November of 2019. Like 2017, the whales pumped at the end of the year are very strong, so I still expect the coins will continue to grow strongly in the future.
This is the time for us to collect top coins like ETH, BCH, EOS. It will be pumped again.

Yes I am very much optimistic about recovery of altcoins. It may not take place at this time or in the near future. But I believe it will take place one day and  altcoin holders will get happiness. It seems that altcoin is recovering slowly but not at a high paced. Altcoin will make every altcoin holder happy.

If the price benchmark you mean is only a few day ago then I believe it's will happen. Will different if the price benchmark is 2017 and expect the price of altcoin back there is difficult or can't be. The price of altcoin can be recovery but not to the highest price ever they achieved it is impossible in my opinion.

We never have to push our self of believing ETH's capability and also to think that it will die sooner. We have difference and we have a different perceptions towards crypto trends.
ETH becomes a strong Altcoin when BTC reaches 70% Dominance. ETH will experience a price recovery when Dominance BTC falls. This is also supported by ETHEREUM 2.0 which will be launched soon in January 2020. Of course this will be positive news which will affect the price of ETH.

that is indeed what has been waiting for, but who knows what will happen in the market later. I hope before the renewal the market has begun to grow and improve. and if this update is supported, there will be a stronger pump push.

That's also my opinion I'm not looking for other altcoins anymore, I'm more excited to see how Bitcoin and the other top coins in the market perform those coins that are in the top 5, some altcoins will just banish or will have no volume if the market continues to perform poorly, we have seen so many coins being purges in the market.

Altcoins have been horrible since the downtrend have started and they simply do not seem to be holding any support level until now and even positive news and developments about any specifoc project has not been able to help in price recovery which is really strange also i have felt that alts have also lost massive volume and volatility which makes them even harder to trade now so untill market goes again into hype and fomo cycle alt recovery seems mission impossible at the moment.

Its possible to see good growth in altcoin market, eth growth when btc dominance gets to 70percent is a good sign that altcoin can still do better, its just a matter of when so its better to hold on to your tokens and coins that have real use case

The slides a few days ago to many alternative coins are due to the down of BITCOIN price.
If you will see the USD price value of them including bitcoin are on the same graph.
but if you look on ALTS/BTC price there is no change at all (that big) some gets better.

Im not an expert but trust me alt coin will not go further as long bitcoin were stable.  Because we all knows nowadays that bitcoin is the only one that has a power and can influence alts to increase since the long bear season occurred  in the market .  So as long bitcoin not yet awake.  For sure only one thing will happen wherein,  Alts will fluctuate always despite of some sort of pump , and it has no possibility in my opinion to increase more unless bitcoin didn't start the rally.

The recent dip that led to Bitcoin losing a significant amount in its 24hr value and alts dropping as high as - 38% saw the arrival of new trend. At this point in time, its wise to say there's a recovery in the market for Altcoins to rally with Btc at the moment.

I think there are various ways to look at it. Those expecting alts to take off in fiat probably will be disappointed, at least short term anyway. With btc also down, alts would need to work extra hard to recoup any losses in fiat.

However against btc it's a little bit of a different story. Some feel alts have already hit their lows against btc ... many have been crushed to smithereens already. Of course junk coins can always go lower and lower, but for decent coins they tend to hold at a certain level. And yeah, right now against btc, most alts are holding their own or having slight gains. So give it some time, very possible alts do a little run (against btc) during the next month or two ... not a crazy alt season, but at this point any improvement at all is at least something.

I would prefer to see the prices on a higher note than where it is right. As we see the price today, it became lower than this time and more likely to go below $8k. My thoughts on this is just don't be discouraged if we see the market fluctuated negatively.

No it does not. The altcoins will recovery after the bitcoin have rise it's price to new record, like in 2017 year.
Yes that will come no matter how long the price would be at this time. There should be a recovery first with bitcoin and then it will come next for the altcoins.

Yes that will come no matter how long the price would be at this time. There should be a recovery first with bitcoin and then it will come next for the altcoins.

Not necessarily. Then again, it depends a bit if you mean a recovery in fiat or more of a recovery against btc.

Remember the last big altcoin season occurred when btc hit a high then started collapsing. We here are just assuming BTC will hit 20K or higher again, but it may be a while (or never) for that to happen. Perhaps 13K was BTC's current bullrun high and the next couple of months will be a slow decline? If so, whales will need to look somewhere else to make money. That's where BTC dominance could decrease as whales start feeding in altcoin waters.

So nobody knows what way it'll go. It could be a 2-3 month altcoin season starting soon... or we wait until after the BTC halvening.

Title: Re: Altcoin price recovery

Not yet, we need to be patient to wait for the altcoin price recovery. But I guess that we will soon see the altcoin increase because I see on binance, some altcoin can change the direction to go up. Maybe in the next week, we will see something different than this week. Today, it seems the altcoin wants to make a move in the market because I see many altcoins can change from the red candle into a green candle. And if the situation can be like this, then we could hope that the increase in the price is on the way to happen.

How altcoin can recover when BTC is collapsing, that recovery is only a slight correction before altcoin continues to bleed.

Could be a correction, could be whales going to alts to feed, who knows. BTC dominance is a teensy bit lower too. I find it amusing and odd when anyone here acts like they know exactly what will happen in relation to crypto. If they were that smart, they'd be zillionaires and wouldn't likely be posting here anymore.

I probably don't need to remind you that the last insane alt season occurred while btc was collapsing as well. Not that I expect that to occur again, as I don't, but altcoins tend to do their thing when BTC isn't in full-on bull mode ... so long as BTC can stabilize at some number, then alts could of course recover.

As market trends (https://www.coincurb.com/category/active-ico/) shows it will be a tough for altcoins to recover, they might get so pump but not that much. I believe only BTC can get some big boost. Let's just hope for good.

I think this has nothing to do with altcoin season, i think this is another form of manipulation from whales, there is no sign that altcoins will recover and only bitcoin seem to have the biggest hope left and since many altcoins still depends on bitcoin its better if bitcoin breaks its ATH i belief altcoins will have no choice but to follow

That's the only thing we can hope for now, that BTC and altcoins will not continue to drop and will recover soon.
What we have witness in the past few months was good recovery for BTC but if this dump will last longer, we might be back at the lowest price this year.
Of course we don't want to see that happen, we have a lot of good news this year so the current market situation does not coincide with what is happening, maybe in time we shall see them surprise us again.

Hard to assume how the market will proceed, a lots of speculations and more new projects affecting the alts community. Aside from bitcoin having a down trend movement which also affecting the current situations inside the entire market. Investors needed to be careful and patience before planning to invest for additional assets. the recovery will be for those who manage to entrust their money to their selected project.

Not really the best time for the market to go down, I and my friends just bought top coins in the market because I thought the market will grow again when it hit the $9500 level but now I'm counting my lost because it is still dropping I hope not another scenario like what we had at the start of the year.

I think if around 1-2 mounth we will not see altseason. the market will continue down more and more.
I am also sure after 3-4 months the alt season will not visit the entire crypto space for the obvious reasons. The downtrend will likely to continue to make new lower low points on the price charts and Bitcoin will fall to the $6000 sooner or later.  Altcoins will not go to hit the all-time high prices unless the whole market cap goes above the trillion USD but I don't also deny other facts too. These external factors have a huge impact over the altcoins prices and the bad news, FUD, the ban by first world countries are included to this external factor list. Just my 2 cents.

Many Telegram trading channels says altcoin will recover again especially for major altcoin. Idk if that true or not but seems is gonna be happens. I see some of the altcoins on Binance start to recovery. could this be a sign of the beginning of the ALTSEASON??  :o :o
I dont want to call this an altseason, bitcoin price is very low right now and no matter what happens on the entire market bitcoin should be the first to move before the altcoins. If we saw bitcoin price gradually increasing over time then we can expect the real alt season with bitcoin dominance under 50.

It's probably all because of Craig Wright's fault. His greed and lust for bitcoin seems to have backfired and now he seems to feel betrayed by the crypto community so what he is now doing is selling lots of bitcoin to bring the price down further.

The good thing is when he's done selling his bitcoin, bitcoin will be stronger and rid of toxic people like him. Bitcoin and altcoins will rise again, just hodl and be patient.

I think bitcoin won't touch $ 6000 but predictions go down to $ 7800 and will go up to $ 8300 a week in the future. for altcoin I don't have a conclusion because it's still bad for prescription.

I am also sure after 3-4 months the alt season will not visit the entire crypto space for the obvious reasons. The downtrend will likely to continue to make new lower low points on the price charts and Bitcoin will fall to the $6000 sooner or later. Just my 2 cents.

I think bitcoin won't touch $ 6000 but predictions go down to $ 7800 and will go up to $ 8300 a week in the future. for altcoin I don't have a conclusion because it's still bad for prescription.
Altcoins can stop correlating with Bitcoin without problems since was in 2017 year  and begin to pump  the price regardless of the situation with the BTC.

After reading this thread I checked the Coinmarketcap, and see if the price is recovering, not yet recovering, I think it will take a few days before the market recovers, but it will not guaranty that it will be continuous recovery, this is not the kind of scenario that we want to see at this point of time, we want a good price heading next year.

Everything has been dragged down by bitcoin. When bakkt launches everyone has so much expectations and that is a wrong IMO  Altcoin is a huge choices of investment and people are confuse where to focus so if BTC go down, everyone got panicked and same goes with alt which is more affected cause they are scattered in over all market. If you check the movement of the altcoins ( top 20) there is none much movement or strong pumping but slowly decreased consistently meaning it is just swayed by btc. Eth is stable actually but price go down due to pulling of btc market. Some are pulling out due to huge loss of btc hence some buying btc while it continously dropping.

I think the same as you, and I see that altcoin itself needs a big push for the price so the altcoin can start to increase. But now, the altcoin will have a chance to raise the higher price, and I see the altcoin price trying to break the higher price. We don't know what scenario will be happening in the market, but all we want now is the rise of the altcoin and then the bitcoin so we can back to make a double profit. Try to take a look at the big exchange, and you could see the rising of the altcoin is on the way and who knows this could be a new starter for the bull run.

Don't see much of a recovery and I think it will be a long time until we see one. IMO, BTC needs to stabilize first and then get a good pump before we see any real alt coin movement. Of course my crystal ball may well be wrong! Time will tell. In the meantime I just keep accumulating moar and moar!

I think that prices will not return to their positions. The market has undergone a correction and in the future we expect either a smooth fall or a freeze in prices in one place. The price may rise if bitcoin jumps up.

prices can return if new investors, buyers will come to the market. When they come? nobody knows, but I think its not the end for crypto, maybe a few years  will pass before they come or earlier. There are no patterns for this. Its random.

It will return, and it will come to the market again.
But they need to make sure that the market is in the right way to recover.
I think they already do that by watching the market movements, but some of the investors already invest in the top coins.
They will buy any potential coins that they thought it would increase in the future because they want to back to make a big profit.
Meanwhile, we need to prepare the same as the investors, so we don't be late to follow them to make a profit.
Maybe this year can give something good to us because we are waiting for a long time to see the market recover.

The price of altcoins will recover someday, but no one knows when it will be, but you should not rely on the same numbers as in 2017, because investors already do not want to invest in cryptocurrency due to the fact that the fall has already dragged on too much, but and of course, top altcoins will be able to show good growth, but altcoins that are not well known to anyone will most likely either not increase in price or will grow but very little.

Now the price of bitcoin and altcoin is purely based on a market. We can say, when it will maximum. The rise in price of altcoin is based on a market demand. If many people started to inverse their money on particular coin, now one will stop the rise of that coin. Sometimes the fluctuations of altcoin price is also depend on bitcoin price.

Altcoin Price will recover but no one knows indeed when it would be. Agree, it will take long for the recovery stage since most of us who truly hold on altcoins are waiting for it to happen. Let us see this coming months or the following year hope their is changes in altcoin market. Good point accumulating more at this time is a good move.

After a big dump, the market also gained a little but not significantly.  I have yet to see any signs of a growth again.  The market is really in a very bad period and it will last for a few more days before the big dump continues.  The scenario of early 2019 will return and bitcoin will once again fall below $ 6k!

We are in a dangerous state right now, because I believe EVEN if the alts are going to recover their price someday later. There will be a lot of them who are going to close their project or announce their departure because of this massive dump. Even I do not really have any faith in holding alts because it shows me the time when we started our massive dump a year ago. After we were reaching our ATH, some project announced their bankruptcy and fired all of their staff. Today, it looks like that.

thats not possible  . their price is not possible if not because of the people investing on them  .  people are the ones that decides if what should be thier price and price can only appear on the market or on the charts  .

We can say, when it will maximum.
its not possible to predict the maximum limit for cryptos because every investor , manipulator have different mindset

If many people started to inverse their money on particular coin, now one will stop the rise of that coin.
why do you think price of cryptos are going  down if thats true  ?  its possible for them to be manipulated or controlled  .

altcoins price recovery are seem to be crucial now compare to before  .  i think the longer they exist or the more the demand btc gets  , the alts will suffer more , only imo

Closing illiquid projects and leaving them on the market is the best thing that can happen for the cryptocurrency community, from the point of view of cleansing from slag and freeing up excess cargo. All this scam only slows down the development of the market and really cool and developing projects. Yes, such cool  projects are among all this scam collection. So choose coins for investment only on the work done by the team, and not on empty statements.

The dump was man made from the Bakkt price predictions so whales got opportunity to make lot of money but yes the rally might begins since the bear end of 2015 looks like the same chart of 2019 but nothing can be said for sure.
No wonder why we are experiencing another drop. It's always because of these opportunist whales. Although this could lead not to the worst scenario since it's not just whale to open up their own investment schemes. It's also us, we could be an opportunist during these times. I'm not telling you to invest, but invest at your own risk!

But whales have been in the crypto space for years and we all know their activity is very fraudulent but since we're in a free market, no one can really stop this opportunist in this market. The Bakkt was supposedly bring new players in the market, sadly the opposite happen, no more hype and it did contribute to the sudden crash, in my opinion.

To be honest I am not happy to altcoin recovery. Because I already invest and still holding my bitcoin. Now I believe to the pattern that they said. Once that bitcoin will fall, it is the right time for altcoin. And some experts are right that bitcoin will before this year end. So people will now invest at altcoin and will be the reason to it's continues increase of price value.

To reach $6000, it must fall below $8000, which we are still above. We do not know how much the price will be, there is no reason to cause any movement. That is why I am afraid to give any opinion. Altcoins will already wait for the BTC to increase and after that increase altcoins will also take action. But when this increase will take place is the question that concerns everyone.

As I see altcoins are not in the recovery stage right now, if they do rise it's obvious that they are just a short-term pump to attract investors, but if you look at potential altcoins like Eos, Eth, Neo, Xem, Trx, Waves, ETC are still in the red stage so it is best to do so now to select potential coins that have fallen in price right now and hold them up until their market price rises again.

Those coins need to wait for the right time to increase, but for the other coins, I think there is a good chance to increase the price. If you visit on the exchange and see the green candle on every coin, it means something was happening in the market, and I hope that some coins can increase their price. But still, it needs a very long time to get the recovery price for every coin because the market of bitcoin and altcoin needs more time. We could hope that there is a flash pump for some altcoin so we could make a profit, although not much.

I'm not worried at all because I have been with this platform for a long time, so I have seen many ups and downs of Crypto Market cap so far, so it's normal to me, someone is giving the blame Bakkt to bring some negative impact on this Altcoin market but I don't think so, I am always hopeful about this market and I'm sure it will turn up very soon with an expected price. as before I observed when some altcoins lost its value then it might take a couple of months to recover it, for me EOS, ETH, NEO, XEM, TRX, WAVES, ETC is looking very potential yet, so the decision should be made under this condition. I think this is high time to hold and buy some Altcoin if you want to trade for the future purpose. But it's true that altcoin will recover its price very soon. Looks like projects team also trying to increase the tokens price. Today Binance delisting some pairs  (as requested by most project teams) which has no volume at all and stuck the price for a very long time. This is one of the positive attempt by the exchange in recent times. This will surely help the altcoin market to move up.

If we look at the value of market cap and also the dominance of bitcoin, in my opinion altseason is still not going to happen in the near future. But there is also a chance the altseason will occur because of the dominance of bitcoin which is already above 60% and I think the dominance of bitcoin will continue to fall because the market is not possible to depend on only one coin that is bitcoin

I dont expect too much. Altcoin is much different than bitcoin, they are unpredictable and cannot determine whether they can recover from the market. Normally most of them gone out and died due to lack of liquidity and market demand. I think most of them dont have a working product which also another reason of not surviving the market.

I prefer to invest on some altcoim that is a huge group and community so at least I can be sure of that many people are into it. Or basically choose top 10 coins and tokens on CMC that has very big market cap.

When will the restoration happen? I think it still needs a lengthy process. Until now when looking at the market conditions continue to decline and even Bitcoin is now seen not dominate the market anymore.

Maybe this could be a good signal for the altcoins to slowly back up. I have a suggestion that to make a profit should not hold the coin for a long time. But if it has provided a profit, it is good to sell directly. Altcoins can go up but will come back again.

If you already have a profit from the coin you have invested, find a way to sell to ensure your assets are safest as the market is very volatile and it will be difficult for you to predict what will happen next . Currently Bitcoin is very easy to manipulate and the value can drop unexpectedly, so we must always monitor regularly during this period. Most people in this market are only interested in profit and they tend to sell more this year so 2019 will be an opportunity for you to buy a lot of cheap coins.

Of course you need to choose the most potential coins and the best advice is to choose new projects from IEO because those are the projects that will be good for investment if the market enters a period of price increases.

we are not in the altcoin recovery yet, and the rising altcoin pump will just dump it in the short term, as most potential alts are seeing its prices drop, but except for Ethereum, he rose slightly while bitcoin prices dropped really. But let's wait and see, the altcoins season will come to us, as the market is unpredictable.

The prices of most of the established altcoins seems to have stabilized, and the Bitcoin dominance lost 4 points recently to end up at 67.3% (from 71.3% a few weeks back). But in absolute terms, although many of the coins have gained against Bitcoin, they have lost their value against the USD. And more worryingly, the coinmarketcap data (if it is accurate) is not showing any uptick in the daily trade volumes for these coins. For me, the explanation is simple. Altcoins are capitalizing on the weakness of Bitcoin and this is not going to continue for a long time. When Bitcoin starts its next bull rally (which is going to happen sometime before the block reward halving), the altcoin market share is going to go down once more.

Still has something to do with natural market volatility. The only problem is that the market value of cryptos are way too active, continuous pump and dumps can be seen these past few months. But the thing here is that, the situation is more favor with alts over bitcoin. Actually, there are expectations that alts would replace Bitcoin as the top crypto. Who knows right? But I would agree with the idea that the market prices should go back to its state *few weeks ago in which stability is more observable than the present. The least thing that we should do now is to avoid concluding at times like this, perhaps, be more observable to avoid risky decisions whether to invest on a token or to just keep on holding tokens.

I have seen some article that tackles about altcoin season because on that day we see the rising price of different altcoin but later on, it dumps again and I think the altcoin season just long for only few days. If you look in coinmarketcap even the top cryptocurrencies such bitcoin and ethereum experiencing dump price which is not good. One of expectation in cryptocurrencies especially in bitcoin I hope in the last quarter of this year the price will rise up again and become more valuable before or after its halving.

The main thing here is not to panic and have patience, there will still be an altcoin season. According to statistics, after Coinmarketcap we see that while Bitcoin is dominant, we will wait until the dominance of BTC is not as strong as it is now.

The last quarter of the year is often the time when the prices of cryptocurrencies peak since the demand usually kicks off in the high level. Holidays on December and January have been observed with the highest rate of transactions and discount sales. I am expecting the gradual recovery of many cryptocurrencies in the market and who knows, may be a bull run or two will occur every week with the current state of the market.

In my opinion, altcoin doesn't get much chance to recover them. Bitcoin does not offer a chance to try to recover altcoins. When altcoins start to recover, then Bitcoin is starting sometimes declining and sometimes prices are rising and altcoins price also start to decline. Thus Altcoins are failing again and again to recover them.

The market is not going well for a long time. That's why alts are also going down. Butbwhen bull run come we will see some significant up move form altcoins. But keep in mind in bear market almost all altcoins are downtrend but in bull run not all of them will go uptreand some of then do. So keep good alts for alt season.

It's just another prediction, nothing more. I just hope that BTC and altcoins will not continue to drop. Prices of most altcoins will recover only if Bitcoin grow up. We could only hope that there is a flash pump for some leading altcoin so we could make a profit.

Good advise but how will you define good Alts? What will be your measurements considering project over the other project? The market is not showing any good chance of recovering from how the situation we are experiencing right now. People who are active and not trying to trade with short term goals needs to wait and be very careful to make any assumption regarding with the next rise.

Organization is one of the keys for long-term success. Team is responsible for organization, the project success depends on many factors,
team should be well organized to cover them all.
I agree that Bitcoin is the king, and like every king this one needs and army, alt-coins are that army. I think Bitcoin wouldn`t be here where
it is without other alt-coins.
I too believe that some alt-coins will recover and make further progress, while some will go to zero.

When Bitcoin falls, altcoins fall. When Bitcoin rises, even then altcoins fall. I certainly remember when Bitcoin was $19K, Ethereum was $1.3K. Fast-forward to present, Bitcoin is currently $8-10K i.e. 50% but Ethereum is only $170-200 i.e. 15% of the highest price.

Problem with Altcoins prices now is that we all the the block reward for Bitcoin but as more tokens are being unlocked some of them move to the exchange and causing selling pushing the price down, a good example is Hashgraph tokens being released almost on daily basis to the market, it would be difficult to call the bottom for most of these Altcoins

Price movements between 5% -10% and some green candles will be good for the market. But we need more than 5%-10% for speaking about price recovery.
Market crushed so badly last 2 months. We saw new all time lows again and again at money coins.

BTC increased alt coins crushed. BTC decreased alt coins crushed. BTC stable altcoins crushed.
We need the dynamics of the market to be change for speaking about recovery of the alt coins.

Dominance seems the most effective factor for crushing of alt coins. Once we see the dominance at expecting levels, we can start to speak about recovery alt coins.

I agree that not all altcoins will recover the price, maybe there will even be many dead. With more and more new coins popping up while the market cap value remains stagnant, investors' money will spin to speculate and this will leave coins that already have large transactions

if in my opinion the average person believes that if altcoin makes a change and has the goal of developing it in the future (roadmap), the price of altcoin will be bought by traders assuming that altcoin purchased will definitely develop in the future. so it's natural if the price of a cryptocurrency has fluctuations (up / down) or even worthless, because the use of cryptocurrency is only in the trading world.

Of course everyone hopes that the price of altcoin can recover and even reach its highest point, but that is only hope. And for the time being it is better for us to continue to observe the movement of market charts and make our speculations about the possibilities that can occur later to take decisions or steps that we will take when the market is in any condition.

There is a reason why it always seems like some old coins are recovering while others are not recovering this is because altcoin recovery is dependent on different factors like;
* the project itself
* the community
* the team and also
* the exchange in which it has been listed on

if all this factors are well planned then an altcoin that is undervalued will most likely recover.

however if it is listed on a useless exchange or the thing is not really serious and explain and they have not built a real community but this loyalty because then the outcome may never recover on the exchange

Some altcoins have the potentials to recover whenever they experience a dip in the market, however not all the altcoins recover. Based on the working product of the project and its demand level, the expertise of the team, the use case etc the coin can recover. This is why investors must always study to know all these factors about the project before investing in them.

It is funny that the altcoin fanboys are celebrating a small uptick in the alt market share. Bitcoin dominance went up from less than 50% to 71%, and then slightly declined to 68%. Now the altcoin supporters don't want to talk about the rise from 50%, but they do want to brag about the 3% decline from the 71% level. I don't have any hatred for the alts, and I myself hold a number of coins in my wallet. But to put it honestly, I don't think that the vast majority of the alts have any practical usage.

And do you really believe that the market share will remain intact once the next bull rally starts for Bitcoin? It may happen very soon, and there are multiple reasons for reaching such a conclusion. The number of Bitcoin users have reached a level that was never seen before, and mainstream investors are once again showing interest in cryptocurrency.

With Bitcoin growth alts grow and vice versa. In the days of bitcoin fall, it is worth looking for tokens that are growing on the contrary. This means having a serious buyer, which not only does not allow the price to fall, but with its purchases he raises it higher. In other words, in the days when all alts fall, it’s easy to find an alt that stands out from all and rise up.

I as altcoin fanboy is celebrating not because of the small uptick, but because I need a reason to feel better. Sometimes we as altcoin holder feel tired of this continuation bear trend, we are hoping to see a green light of life to boost our altcoin spirit. Speaking about dominance, I do know about it but keep talking about bitcoin dominance will not make me feel batter. Because I know Bitcoin dominance is high compared to before.

Yes, the majority of alts have no practical usage because they were created just for fun and money, and no market share will not remain intact once the bull starts. Even after knowing all of this, I will not change the fact that I will keep celebrating it once it gets a small uptick. It is not about money but it is all about spirit.

For this year provably we cannot see a satisfactory growth with bitcoins and alts since I expect that the current market situation will remain at the end of this year, but I'm kinda positive that there's an altcoin season next year especially if halving comes where bitcoins expected to grow and if that gonna happen the price of alts will be drag also. And hopefully I'm right with my speculations since I still have several alts been bag for almost 1 year.

I don't think altcoins price will recover any time soon or most of them won't as bitcoin could make another drop in price if this is not the re-accumulation zone.
For me this is a great moment to accumulate altcoins that I have my eyes in time since inception because I always think on long term with my investments ( 3+ years ) so even if they drop lower in price I will buy more and for sure when bitcoin will sky rocket again the good altcoins will follow to.

I know it has been a long bear and we're all bored to death. But do not think that the market has recovered, with every few green candle that occur.

This market still need to sideways/bleed before the situation is ready for another bull market.
I agree, There are so many tokens that is legitimate that is still not recovering I don't think that market can be recovered even by the end of the year. There are so many problems right now that is facing in the cryptocurrency field right now. Many exchangers are now appearing and some of them obviously are not legit. If the new investors coming in will be smart well for sure the market will recover anytime.

The title says it all — altcoin price recovery is underway. Personally, i would be satisfied if prices go back to where they were a few days ago, but a rally that would take them higher wouldn't hurt, either.

What are your thoughts and expectations?

https://coinmarketcap.com/

My expectations for more than one month since the spring are aimed at the growth of the entire cryptocurrency market. I have collected a decent amount of money in Bitcoin and Ethereum and am ready to invest in altcoins. It is good that I did not buy everything in advance otherwise I would have lost some of my money as it was already in 2018.

Its too early to conclude that the prices of altcoins are recovering. Its gonna take a while for the altcoin market to recover.  StableCoins are making it impossible for altcoins to increase in market value alongside bitcoin.

Personally I don't expect any general altcoin move right now, although I expect ETH to rise up a lil since its been holding strong without great fluctuations recently. Many are focusing on BTC right now, so I think a major move for alts will be after the halving next year, not before. I really hope altcoin prices recover since I'm holding a few.

Indeed, many argue that the price of altcoin is experiencing an increase, and there is a large portion saying that the price of altcoin is deteriorating. But one thing we must understand is that the price of altcoin is volatile. Where the price will increase and decrease suddenly. This is the principle of cryptocurrency. Are we going to say this is wrong. We are here only to take advantage in the midst of increasing and decreasing prices.

Observing the current market, you can see that the prices for altcoins do not look as convincing as they did last year, but they still depend on the price of bitcoin. Personally, I prefer to store bitcoin or ethereum than some of the other altcoins.
The observation is quite right because it appears most of the altcoins have been dormant for so long without showing any significant increase in price. Now, the focus has shifted to Bitcoin because it makes significant recoveries whenever the price goes down and has been a major determinant for the trend of the market situation.

One of my close friends lost everything based on this mindset. he lost all his Cryptocurrency and fiat assets, and I have no one to blame for this, except himself. Throughout the 2018 bear market, He accumulated as much BTC and ETH as possible. he believed in the technology and financial freedom that it offers. He studied at the university, He had a part-time job and most of the money he earned (even student loans) he invested every month in the purchase of Cryptocurrency. Despite the fact that the bear market reduced the value of his investment portfolio, he continued to buy, because he was sure that in the future it would pay off in one day. he was in my last year at university and thought that the Cryptocurrency would at least help him pay off student loans but he has nothing left now. he hasn't any opportunity to repay his student loans and he doesn't know what to do. Don't think about price recovery and follow the bear trend.

Yeah Altcoin price is recovering, but to reach like last year, it takes time, it needs a step by step process. We just wait for that moment to arrive, and must prepare to buy some potential and good Altcoin. We will see a recovery in the price of Altcoin will happen after Halving Bitcoin later.
I think that without another Bitcoin pump, altcoins will not be able to recover to the level of 2017. It is simply not possible.
Certainly it is impossible. No one can pump the market up like in 2017 when there were too many buyers at high prices.
Nevertheless, there is hope that some lonely assets will be pumped  with the help of new updates or partnerships like Egretia this year.

So, he sold his tokens? If not then he strictly speaking did not lose all. It is just frozen. But yeah, attempt to catch falling knife or stop a running bull is a very common and fatal mistake. Trend is your friend.

Oh and another mistake is margin trading. In the world of Crypto this is plain and simple suicidal.

Thia is how it's the market has been trending from past 18 months as there are too many predictions that the market situation will be better and there are predictions about bull run but it goes the other way around as when we expect pump we go though dump and vice versa. I believe it will be better just to flow with the market situation and make use of it through day trading rather than expecting something which seems to be impossible nowm

At this point of time, we can only think of the good possibilities in the future, we have to stay optimistic that things will change for the better.
I always have that kind of thinking even in the past, that's why I survive until now holding my coins and maybe its one of the reason why i failed to sell at the right time because I always HODL, but lesson learned, I'll probably gonna make a good decision by the time altcoins rally will come.

That is why I have no interest in being a holder. There are too many risks and my mentality is not so strong. It takes a long time to recover after a deep decline, sometimes I'm impatient because there are still many needs that must be met. I prefer to analyze, if there is a good opportunity then I will enter the market, if not then I will just watch.
Lately, some altcoins are experiencing an upward trend, but not strong enough and long enough to fall again. No, it's not yet time for prices to recover. Nothing is really sure, only speculation, when Btc dominance began to fall, then usually altcoin plays a role.

The price of altcoins could recover will depend on the value of bitcoin, because it could go down while the value of BTC is rising and some of the investors could really sell their token/coin to have more satoshi. But, we don't know what will happen next since it is hard to predict the market's value.

One thing for sure the value of BTC and altcoins could go really up in the next couple of months.

The fact is, Bitcoin has the greater market dominance of about 70% and this huge figure has a strong influence on the entire market. Bitcoin appears to control the trend of the market hence when Bitcoin is down, almost all the altcoins follow the same downward trend and whenever Bitcoin is up, altcoins follow the same trend respectfully. This is why, the altcoins are stuck in price increment because Bitcoin has not made another huge surge on the market.

Yes it is the right time to invest on altcoins because its on the lowest price as of this year and you may want to consider the top 10 or top 20 in coinmarketcap which is accurate way to invest at you will never get wrong with that and if you want to look closely pic the top 5 and see there fundamentals.

Stable coins cannot be use as investment since you will not earn any profit with it you will just securing your profit from other coins when converting in it.

LOL.. so you do admit that the vast majority of the altcoins don't have any practical usage. Then how can you justify holding on to them? Many of the altcoin users are not able to justify their decision to hold the alts, and that is one of the reasons why we are seeing a mass selloff in the altcoin market right now. The market share of altcoins have been halved, from almost 50% to around 25%. And the trends indicate that it will further go down, as there is no reason to believe that suddenly these alts will find some use for themselves.

Yes those stable coins are not good we only should buy bitcoin as it gives us profit and makes money for us by increasing the price. Bitcoin is the best coin it has potential to increase and almost all investors are supporting it. It has more ability to increase than other altcoins and have good market reputations.
And what's the point of using cryptocurrency in the form of USDT? I think that Satoshi Nakamoto would have laughed at this very well.

I also believe that altcoin 2020 will have a big recovery but only development projects can increase prices. This market is in a very difficult period so I can not be sure which coin will gain a good price in the near future. Now there are thousands of options for all investors but only 5% of projects can be profitable for you in this market so research to find the best project.

I have a lot of ways to make a profit and I will usually choose the top coins like LTC, ETH, BCH because these are 3 coins that tend to increase together if the market enters a new period.

Because the experience in the previous year is also like that where the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin to the moon after Halving Bitcoin.

In 1 year, these alt prices will be really funny for us I am sure of that.

If you expect the price of altcoin to increase in the future then it would be a great advice. Not sure whether we will see that rise and hence the risk is much bigger if you are investing in the altcoin market, bitcoin is the only coin that can guarantee that the price would increase in the future and if you are able to invest at the right time then you will end up in a profit. The top coins in the market might see some recovery but majority of the coins are dead by now and most of the projects shut their door and hence the risk is higher.

Ripple just printed a strong bullish candle to break pass 0.269 (EMA50).

This setup is quite bullish if the daily candle closes above EMA50 and can signal that Ripple is ready to move higher vs the Dollar (XRPUSD).

Ripple is very likely to continue growing.

Thanks a lot for reading.

Verge:

This is a friendly reminder.

Thetafuel:

Theta Fuel ( TFUELBTC ) is having a very strong and clean breakout after hitting a new all-time low recently.

This is a strong jump, we are looking at 67% of growth within just a few days:

Storm:

First we can notice STORMBTC trading above EMA10 and EMA50. This is the first time that STORMBTC goes above EMA50 since March 2019... So this is a strong development.

The MACD reached neutral and is trending up/towards the bullish zone.

The RSI is strong above 50.

Downtrend line broken (red).

Breaking above resistance (A close above 16 satoshis, 17 or higher, would signal good strength).

The TD sequential started a new + count.

0x:

But this is not all, more can come from this pair/chart... Let's take a look:

ZRXBTC is trading above resistance (EMA10/50).
New uptrend has been established.
Strong RSI .
Increasing volume
Breaking out of the ascending triangle .

This is a strong and bullish setup... We can expect ZRXBTC to continue growing...

This market always has a good growth after each discount period but to prolong the uptrend, it is another story. Right now we have not been able to break out of the bear market and the downtrend is still overwhelming in crypto so it will still be difficult to make good profits from altcoin. I think now is the time to do more research and choose a good project for long-term investment because it is the investment that will help a lot of your profits in the near future.

Well, we have no choice but to accept the reality, if they do not trust the future of the coins they are investing, we can expect that they will panic or will accept the reality that their coins is already dead. I suggest let's move one, and focus on the current situation, I am not saying that those coins are already dead but what I like is to look for opportunity on the current market, this long struggle will tell us not to fully really on long term investment, instead learn to trade short term and learn to invest short term.

Don’t worry, many Altcoins have already begun the process of price recovery in relation to Bitcoin. Today we can see an average price increase for Altcons by 7%. I think that this is the beginning of a big increase in Altcoin prices.

We've been experiencing price decline for the past months and there's no signs of major recovery.

I think for this year, there's no bull that will happen for alts though im still hoping for changes.

So for the meantime lets grab this chance to buy alts because they are still cheaper.

So far I see that altcoin is actually experiencing a decline in prices and this is a disappointment for investors all in the next 2 years we face a market that is not so good because the downward trend that continues to give a lot of effect on our assets all of which have experienced a substantial decline.
I am hoping from last one month reading all crypto related news everyday still i dint find any major increase in my holding i have . Most of my holding having more than 95% loss . So i am not having any hope that it will recover half of its price used to be.

Altcoins now for me is better than before who value is very high but I think it still need a lot of improvement for altcoins to rise and I really think this year is high chance to rise but if this year is not the time for the altcoins to recover the value but they still have more years for the altcoins to recover but needs a lot of patient because maybe the other trader will give up but they need to wait because altcoins will going to rise for sure.

The decline in prices experienced by altcoin is a dilemma for investors, especially since altcoin has not experienced an increase in price for a very long time. Investors who have bought several altcoins have begun to feel uncomfortable with market conditions that have not improved, so panic sell ensued because they were afraid of losing even more money.
Hopefully the price of altcoin will recover, and what we can do to increase the price of altcoin to a better path.  ???  ???

After long bad days, the market turned green again. The bull run may come. Everyone is looking for 2017 prices, perhaps those days will live again. We shouldn't be in a hurry for this.

No doubt, the altcoins recovery is on the way. bitcoin suffered the same issue last year and yet the price starting recover. so people have to be patient and wait for the altcoin comeback. this year favors bitcoin more than altcoins, it is not a new market behavior as we have seen it in the past. altcoins will soon recover as well.

I don’t understand you, has he sold all his coin to panic that made you feel he has nothing left? If he has not sold his coin, and based on what you have here, he invested in the most promising two coins which also happen to be the kings of all coins, I don’t think he has lost anything, he might have made some mistakes of not selling during the last all time high which majority of us made also, but I believe that he will surely recover this price back in future.

I would not want you to give up on him yet, there is still very big light at the end of the tunnel. I have some investment in bitcoin that I am not also touching even if I see some increase now until in the future when bitcoin eventual hit the highest peak, and then I will be among people who had investment in bitcoin till its highest peak.

i thought i am the one who has difficulties in reading and understanding ,because i am looking for the reason why Hes close friend lost anything when the story tells about nothing that involves the placing of the said accumulated currency

because if the Bitcoin is still in the wallet, nothing that he needs to be worried as price is volatile and may grow again soon.

maybe OP needs to explain what happen to the bitcoin on and of his friend for him to blame himself

I have hoped for this price recovery for almost two years, and it was literally nothing. Besides ETH rose from 85 to 240 bucks, but a price recovery is something more global for me. Hope that within the next couple of years, things will turn to be much better.

Most telegram trading channels are nothing but echo chambers, they all want the same, to obtain gains out of their investments so as soon as someone gives a decent argument about why the market should go up everyone agrees and it may seem like the market sentiment is changing but it is not, investors have been claiming that we are close to an altcoin season for months and nothing has happened yet and considering the rate the market is moving I doubt it will happen.

Not sure what that fellow was talking about either, unless his friend bought primarily early in 2018 at ETH's ATH, then sold at its low?

If he bought into btc + eth over all of 2018, his overall buy-in price probably isn't that terrible (at least for btc). Eth would still be at a decent loss, but nothing insane ... very recoverable. It's not like his friend invested his family fortune into Taxicoin or something that lost 99%+ of its value.

I think this is the best option to wait and see how the situation on the cryptocurrency market changes. But I want to buy Ethereum for 50% of free money, because I am waiting for the update of its network.

I don't see the act of wait and see how the market changes as the best option when there are chances of accumulating more coins at dump price and after ethereum network update is implement ethereum price will surge so this current market is best chance to buy ethereum for free money as you said.

We all need to be patient right now and stop yelling all the time.

yes, I guess we can only wait for how bitcoin will change the investment trends in the market. if that happens I think altcoin will most likely have to increase its value. now it is best to wait for the best price to start investing.

In my opinion any investment will be risky when the market falls and if you are more patient then you will have a huge loss in investment because this is not the place for you to do that. Before investing, decide on the price to sell and if the coin does not reach that , then find ways to ensure your assets avoid major losses.

I personally only trade when the market drops suddenly because that time I can buy a lot of cheap coins.

Its random.
Litecoin is the top six ranking coin i don't think there are no new investors for this coin. Definitely still enough investors continuously do investment here. Bitcoin is the main factor for the dropping alts coin market. Because it’s so much bearing and i think when BTC will go big pump than also crypto will be increase. This year no guaranteed for the alts green market. I hope in the year of 2020 will be recovery in the cryptocurrency market. Obviously price will be increase though take sometimes.

There will be a recovery but I don't think all altcoins with recover. There will be exceptions especially those who are inactive. Some altcoins need to regain the trust of most investors. Most investors these days are getting rid of altcoins and only focus with Bitcoin and ethereum. Altcoins still need to go through a lot to go back to normal.

of course not all altcoins will experience a recovery because not all altcoins have developers who think of developments for their coins or tokens. when market prices recover, the only altcoin that has a good strategy can have a high price. At present, some altcoins seem to have prepared various strategies to improve the quality of their tokens. if you want to invest, I suggest doing some in-depth research on a few coins.

At this time there are many different predictions about this market but I still believe that the downtrend will still last a little longer before starting another trend. In my opinion, altcoins are not good for investment and there will certainly be many other corrections coming soon in the bear market. If you look at the market today, all altcoins continue to fall and this will not help us to make a profit.

I personally choose to keep Fiat and will not choose to invest this year because even a slight fluctuation will make me lose a lot of money because this is the amount I have saved a lot in the past.

I also agree with you, not all altcoins will return to their highest prices, even if dev is still active, altcoin will be hard to bullish if marketing and community are not running,
a project will continue to develop if all three are still active, dev, team (marketing) and community.

for now, I think the market is not so good. the price of bitcoin is even between the $ 7k and $ 8k levels. while for an altcoin to date follow the development of bitcoin and ethereum. however, this might be a pretty good opportunity to set up some assets before the altcoin price has completely recovered. Hmm..I see a sideways trend of capitalization from the end of summer with quite normal downward movements.
That`s okay for financial markets when capitalization varies in a small range. Perhaps right now the crypto market is becoming more balanced in prices and similar to the real assets market.
I believe this is the real value of altcoins.

I think the downtrend will last for a few more years because altcoin is no longer a good investment option at this time and if you are not careful in investing then you can easily lose money. Looking at recent analysis, it is very difficult for altcoin to grow well so if you have profit, consider selling as soon as possible because this market can collapse at any time.

For some investors, altcoins are the best way to make a profit but if you don't have good knowledge, you will have a lot of difficulties making money in this market.

in my opinion if you want altcoin to return to the original price it is very difficult, it can just go back to the original price but spend a lot of time very long, my advice if you do trading use stop loss in order to minimize losses from your assets. because some people walk differently in trading, there are those who want to be short-term and some who are long-term for altcoin / coins.

The good move for this if price is already in profit we could see our altcoin. Agree if aiming to have it an original price just to sell the coins it would take longer. Base on my experience I did not sell my altcoins early and it takes longer to increase again. As the altcoins are still in down for long now.

It is difficult to answer the question of when the price recovery for Bitcoin will begin.  For me, it actually remains a mystery why the previous theory, when Bitcoin affects the entire cryptocurrency market, does not work at all.  If we take for example that the market declined as much as possible at the end of 2018, then from 2019 to the present day, Bitcoin has risen from $ 3,000 to $ 13,000 and today is at the boundary of $ 8,000.  As for other cryptocurrencies, including altcoin, their prices are in poor condition.

This is a good example of how Whales manipulate prices in the cryptocurrency market. Now we see the high price of Bitcoin, with Altcoins, on the contrary, the prices are very low. In the future, the situation will change and prices will rise more in Altcoins.

Many scam projects make investors afraid to put money in crypto, the thing that can make crypto great again is to immediately make strict regulations so that it can prevent and protect investors from scam projects.

And i dont think so if some altcoins in binance are started to increase the price but if that happen maybe we dont need to worry about our altcoins.

I also agree with you, not all altcoins will return to their highest prices, even if dev is still active, altcoin will be hard to bullish if marketing and community are not running,
a project will continue to develop if all three are still active, dev, team (marketing) and community.
Most of those that want altcoins to recover unfortunately are not holding some of the top altcoins in the market, they are holding completely unknown coins they bought just to speculate with them so most likely they are never going to see their coins recovering because when the altcoin season comes investors are going to concentrate on the most successful altcoins and on new and promising projects and not on unknown altcoins that have been around for long.

I will not expect much for this near future. several times the increase did occur but after a while, there was a decline again. the market hasn't recovered yet. although what is happening in the market now looks positive, but we have to see how the trends that occur after this growth occur. for trading, there will be no problems, even happy to see a rising trend. but for long-term investment, the increase that occurs only provides a little fresh air to achieve the planned targets.

Most of new investor trapped on ICO project and maybe buy token in market with high expectation of their coin. I think it is already happen to a lot of people, because with buy  coin or token from new project, it can be pumped if something really good happen or maybe big updates come. But if me personally on top CMC coin to get safer investment. Not want to speculate anymore.

I doubt so for the alt coins. They have been down and down and down. I feel that only bitcoin can go back to the price a few days ago. The alt coins may just slide to nothing
it is natural that many investors today are afraid to invest in crypto or altcoin because we all know the declining development of altcoin and other crypto currencies today as investors must be clever in utilizing every opportunity that will be obtained in investing if You doubt it is better not to invest if you have the confidence to invest under any circumstances
