What you think more profit, participate in IEO or wait after IEO and buy the token from exchanges?

This question is the same with the other raised question before about ICO. Buying during or after the ICO. You can figure this out on your own if you have been investing or have invested to ICO or IEO before. What do you think? everyone who invests early on IEO takes pretty decent profit when it's started to get traded. But this takes no assurance if you will invest early too because the hype could be gone on anytime and even as the exact time as you've invested.

I see most of IEO price drop after IEO.

Obviously, since ICO days, most people wait for the coin/token to get listed to buy them cheaper than ICO price. If a project survives, that is the only moment that it will crawl its price way up to its ICO price, which sometimes takes time. I guess the same goes with IEO, the price drops after the crowd funding.

And it is why I've said that it's like the ICO questions that were asked before. As you can see, the effect that it brings after their IEO is drop on its price. There's no difference with ICOs before, when they've already on the exchanges, the initial price drops not unless there's a whale that buys a lot after the ICO/IEO. Are you looking forward to make clean profit with IEO sales? I guess you should have go through the traditional way of trading.

It all depends on personal decision honestly, as for me, buying in at IEO stage works for me most times. But to be on safer side, you can buy immediately after IEO especially when the price hasn't soared much. It's all about taking calculated investment risk.

it's quite clear when you see it that's all you do to buy when it's after IEO ,my suggest is buy carefully worry about fall hard and you must be more able to read the situation at that time when some tokens are thrown away easily ,other risks are just waiting to rise but sometimes they always fall off helplessly

I think participating in the IEO has more risk, but greater chance of reward. Based from my experience once IEO or even ICOs get listed on exchanges, there will always be initial investors who will want to dump and sell their tokens.

Most of IEO investors only make short investments. As said, the majority of coins that have entered the trading period actually dropped in price. Therefore it is better to follow IEO on large exchanges to be more convincing. Don't hold the coin for too long. when there is profit, sell it.

It depends on various fundamental reasons. Every project is different and if there's a lot of discounts / big bounties / advisors paid with tokens. You can except an instant dump from all those 3 reasons.

If you really believe and support the project then buying from IEO is the best option because you will not want to miss out on the opportunity to fund a great project directly but also you may miss out on instant post ieo trading gains that can be massive because if the project is really good then even after the ieo many people will want to buy driving the demand that will boost value.

Investing on IEOs on its early stages could be a good move or the other, all depends on how successful the project will be. It's all a risk of course. But there are projects who gives promos like discounts for their angel investors so you could help mutually each other. Prices indeed drop after a while the project is launched but the question is will it rise up again. You'll know only when you take the risk and watch it happen.

I think that it is better to buy immediately after IEO. In addition, it is not always possible to buy during IEO. But most of all profit will bring participation in the beginning. So if you have the opportunity to join in time, then you can do it.

If you are going to look at the previous success of IEO like 7 months ago, usually when they open the sale, everyone jumps in and buy the hype. Most of  them are sold out in minutes and in second, so it means that it is better to get in before the price exploded. It's not even an effective way to produce money, let's say if you are participating in IEO and as early investors and you will always be a winner. For long term buyers and IEO token is also the worst thing.

The requirements for most IEO cannot be met by some people. They wish that the requirements are reduced, but sometimes, these big exchanges are strict about it. Some  require particular minimal balance. Some of them request for KYC.

I think this is an easy answer for youre query mate. Of course participating in IEO, dont ever buy tokens after the IEO or already on the exchange this is very risky cause most projects tend to pump on its first week then suddenly will go down. There's a couple IEOs out there that are basically guaranteed profits, exchanges like Binance and Huobi, they basically pump up their coins to 2x after the IEO ends with the funds raised from the IEO.

It's pretty crazy, if you get in those limited time IEOs you can usually end up selling your tokens for decent profits right after they end, so it's some easy profit.

Safer option is to wait for the project to end their IEO and see if they are keeping up to expectations before you dump your money into then.

It still depends for me, not all every successful coin who have entered on the exchange are pumping, most of them are not even reaching the real price of the coin. Most of the time, bounty hunters including investors are dumping their coins at the very first time to enter their coin to exchange. So basically you can buy cheaper coins in exchange than participating in IEO.

Both can be profitable, but if me i will prefer wait after IEO and see there is big dump happen or not. Usually when IEO, people will do as fast as they can. I always missed it. So no chance for me to join IEO.

It depends on how much investors put money in IEO, sometimes sales when IEO is cheaper, many are also cheaper on the exchange. Here the management of distribution and volume token calculation is very influential on the value of the token, if the management is good I'm sure it will be cheaper to buy when IEO. To be honest, I prefer to buy after IEO and wait for the big dump on the exchanges. Buy during IEOs seems high-risk today because mostly IEO tokens or coins will be dumped after IEO phase. It doesn't mean I don't want to support the team of the project but I don't want to lose my capitals.

I doubt it. IEO tokens when trading starts can be probably pumping. So if you buy during its time of trading, hence youre buying it at a very high price unless, you will know the potential movement of it, of course by TA method.

I suggest to OP that wait for it to go down first close to it IEO price then, sell when the price go up again. Buying after IEO done is actually a risky time as you know IEO tokens are having a good ROI on their first week. Observe first, if you think it will go up then go risk. Youre confidence should be leveled with it. Overconfidence will only be resulted to loss, better be safe than sorry.

Indeed, with the chance of getting good bonuses and lower value once being offered inside IEO stage, project should be inside reputable exchange so aster being listed the chance of having much higher value can take place. Usually, participate in IEO can be profitable because the price is a sale at a very low price. And after the project gets listed on the exchange, the price starts to increase even though it will get dump too deep. I choose investing with IEO than ICO because faster trading for IEO coin than ICO, IEO just open selling few week and after IEO ended directly listing with exchange market where they listed for IEO, for ICO we need phase selling from pre sale until main sale with success, if not success with hard cap maybe phase for selling continue for several weeks later.

Waiting after is always safer than riding the hype of an IEO or ICO, getting too much excited will just put you in madness, cursing all day thinking what have you done wrong. Scam IEO are shift into a regular one nowadays, they are too confident and it's not a good news, therefore waiting for the right time to buy to know if they are true or not is the best move you could do.

I would say buying after the project or once the coin is listed on exchanges. We saw many promising projects before which caught the interest of the investors but they ended up losing profit bcause the market value of the token from those projects fell due to the negative market behavior. This for me, implies that it is the market behavior which causes problem for projects. And in my opinion this is not the right time to invest on any project, maybe , it would be better after the campaign period to lessen the risk.

Why wait if you are already decided to buy the token?

You may buy it as an early bird and get the bonuses that they will provide. Most of them have 10-30% bonuses for those who want to buy at Pre-IEO.
If the project is legitimate with all the research that you have done then I dont think you will regret buying it.

I prefer to wait after the IEO is finished and buy it on the exchange because some IEO on the exchange many are not profitable except in large exchanges like Binance, Huobi and Gate, if in other exchanges I do not dare to participate in IEO, waiting on the exchange is much safer for you can see the prospect of the token and see the volume development in the market.

Now, not all of them will be successful and get a higher value once they are listed in an exchange. Better to make a decision while there are bonuses.
If not then your investment will just be cut into and your capital will go into waste.
You could be holding that token for a long time if it wont hit even the ROI.

There was no guaranteed profit in both method either you buy in the IEO or buy the token/coin after it was listed, It was my personal experience lately. But some exchange that offered the IEO on its launchpad might still profitable but not for so long, since the token price was fast declining hours after it was listed so i might say that its not a good idea to buy after it was listed maybe you just wait a little bit to reach its price to the near bottom of that trading day.

IEO has not yet been doing so good at this moment, and so far I couldn't see any good reason to continue engaging ourselves with this. For sure we must do whatever it takes to attain the most potent ways in trading, and always make sure you're not dumping your holdings at an earlier stage of time. Always review the coinmarketcap of your prospected coins, before you decide applying long term trades on each and every choices you had.

I think that investing in IEO or after it is more profitable depends on many factors.
1. Is the project good? Normally, buying from IEO will have low price but if the project is not developing well, it might be a scam and you will lose all money.
2. If on the floor and you buy, you must choose the appropriate time because then you are a trader. Prices depend on the trader and his knowledge
3. When Coin goes up, you can buy and hold long term.

If you can participate in exchanges IEOs are good. But we all can't participate in top exchanges IEOs. Because the users have to hodl their exchanges native coins and they draw lotteries to participate. The IEOs coins prices will drop after the listing. But some coins are goin up. If you are going to buy IEO coins when listing. it has a huge risk. But you can check out after a few days or weeks when the price goes down. If those projects are good, you can buy those coins. You have to learn more about fundamental analysis and technical analysis for before investing in cryptocurrencies.

They can both make you profits, investing in IEO is best if the project is a very good one so i'd say always do research on the project before investing, if the project is not very good you can wait to see how it will perform after IEO ends, if price drop occurs then you can start buying bit by bit

Very few projects have given good profit investing on the IEO. These projects have a huge market compared to the common IEOs that get launched through different exchanges. Investing on one such IEO which has got a wider market is gets good profit than investing after it getting listed to exchanges for trading. Apart from this with common IEOs it is good to invest few days after the exchange listing where we can understand how good is the market circulation of the respective token and invest accordingly.

Depending on exchange where this IEO is taking place. If an IEO is held on Latoken, Probit, Exmarkets or other shitty exchanges,  it is much better to wait until exchange listing to get tokens with good discount. But if we are talking about Binance, Huobi or Okex IEOs, you should definitely take part in sales.

Because at the moment the glory of IEO, I will always participate in IEO instead of buying tokens on exchanges after IEO. Yeah, big exchange like binance are giving better returns to investors through their ieo's, they have large number of participants to buy and make ieo very successful, but in a way the similarity with ico's is not too apart, because once those ieo's tokens get pumped to some point the price will dump so hard, if you are not careful you could get stock and loss a lot of money,
So aside from the security aspect ieo's are not very different from ico's except they are well organize by exchange for a quick pump and dump from my personal observation.

There is no standard thinking about it, this depends on your situation. You can get it from IEO or exchange after listing according to the coin you want to invest. However the majority gives superiority to IEOs on bigger exchanges, and this can be better choice. But in small projects,  investing after listing can be an opportunity to collect from cheap price. That is usually the case, but there is always the possibility of the opposite, therefore I said there is nothing standard.

I prefer IEO, because in my opinion if after IEO and the coin listing immediately sell because surely it will immediately rise quite dramatically, after being sold then I wait for the price of the market to return to the IEO price, if it has been dumped badly then I will buy it then sell at high prices, so can profit 2x

Buy the token from exchanges.

All of the tokens' price after the ICO or IEO or any token sale ended up plummeting after they got listed on the exchanges. This is because investors, bounty hunters (if they launched the bounty campaign) and even the team themselves are selling their tokens that they hold immediately to get profit. If you are a good investor and you believe on the coin, buy it on a lower price rather than buying it in the token sale or participate in an IEO.

If you are participating in ICO/IEO and you thing youe earnings is not enough, then you can do some trading. Trading is really a good sources of income for many people as you are the one controlling it. You can manage it wisely depending on how dedicated you are.

Buying directly in the IEO have a more advantages for the crypto investors but waiting for the exchange is not a bad solution to the recent problems too. The changing situation can give back better investment opportunities and choosing the best way is dependent on the personal experience, money management of the investor. There's "no best way" to buy. Most times, Investing in the actual IEO is the best. Other times buying after its listed is best too. I've seen situations where buying after the listing is a more better option. One time, an IEO I invested in went downhill in terms of returns. Literally, It went below the IEO price and lot of investors sold and then the reversal came and it did a solid 5x from there.On the other hand, I can't count the number of IEOs that people were better off investing that buying after it was listed.

I am a person that is more on going with more possibilities of a project. I was investing in ICOs late 2017 but when ICO turned into trash, it's also hard to decide whether I'll be investing on IEOs. The choice I'm stuck with right now is to buy token from exchanges. Or buy tokens that are part of top 100 on the list.

I've bought 650 GRM tokens, I guess it can easily happen that it will increase x10 times next year or even more. I am hoping

Most IEO's were overpriced and not interesting. The ICO's had a good time two years ago, but IEO's are nothing compared to the 2017 craze.

Yeaaaah... Binance "always" giving profit returns to early investors, this is what makes investors always interested in joining IEO. But unfortunately, not everyone can win in IEO, because the buying method applied by them is like a gambling concept that basically relies on luck :(

Yes, there's a sure exchange that will take that token but I've just compared it because those questions were asked too with ICOs that's why I just had the time to compare it. And right now, I don't think that IEOs are really doing well.

several times I did not get a ticket from ieo binance., especially this kava project. but that doesn't matter, profits can still be obtained when the trade is opened. When IEO is done on big reputable exchanges, since the exchange has very large user base, so many people will want to buy in but just part will finally buy in and this makes it competitive. Buying the tokens from exchnages works the best for me. I find it cheaper usually and I cannot understand why people will buy at ICO when it is so much cheaper on the exchange. I am too afraid to invest directly into an ICO and if I use an exchange I do not need KYC. It just seems much safer with less to lose. I can also take part in their bounty campaign to earn those tokens instead of buying them. That is also a safe way for me.

Personally, I think it's more profitable when tokens are already listed in the market. i personally got a loss on IEO not ICO. all drop when listing on the market. but I can recover my losses from the already listed IEO Token. because I have seen the lowest price to buy and waiting for the highest price to sell. and if not stable. we can stop to trade and wait by monitoring to reenter. I have forget with ICOs and IEO project because both of investment always have lower price after listing on exchange, how come to get profit but other site we got coin listed on exchange market with lower price, better take investment with altcoin ready listed with exchange market and use short term trade to get profit without hold long term like ICO and IEO.

The first IEO held at Binance.  There was no choice, during IEO I could not get a token.  All project tokens were sold out very quickly and after the release, they made a profit.  A completely different situation was on Bittrex, tokens there for three days of IEO were not completely sold, and when they entered the exchange, the price immediately dropped five times and did not rise anymore to the IEO mark.  The situations are different and for each IEO, you need your action plan.

I was thinking to do it but then I thought that if I will start any business with that $2000 then I will earn much bigger that what we receive as interest in lending. In binance it will be secure but if you will lend on any other place then you will always have a worry that he may default and you will lose all of your money. Lending your coins doesn't guarantee anything but losses. I'd prefer to stay away from lending if possible, although they are trying to not scam you but we have to actually minimize the risk. Also lending your money is not worth with the risks you have to face.

Buying after the end of IEO and exchange listing is good but with the upcoming halving event i dont see that as a productive strategy when people can easily make good profit just by buying in dip genuine and good concept long existing cryptocurrency. Besides, there are some good altcoin that offer dividends.

I somehow disagree with you on this one because the IEO scheme are not doing better these days and invest in altcoin now doesnt seems right since the altcoin trend will be determine by bitcoin market move. Why not invest in bitcoin now that the price are still cheap and you can accumulate altcoin later before it season arrive.

I prefer buying bitcoins only and I dont have the chance to buy any other altcoins. For me bitcoin is the best and most profitable coin. It has a lot of potential and also it influences the other coins like for example when its price increases the other coins will be affected to and will increase its prices also. I am staying in the crypto world for how many years and I invested a lot of trust in bitcoin thats I am consistently buying and trading this coin.

As per my observation, IEO conducted last year almost all tokens price in exchanges was low than IEO price, only BTT and some other good project which were conducted in top-ranking exchanges gave a good return to the investors.

I think its both , although we cannot be sure about the possible profit but investing on IEO will offer more greater profit if the project is to well known and if you can do trade after it was been listed on exchange then it is much more profitable , so for me its both .

if you want more profit, I suggest you to trade instead of following IEO or ICO because to get profit in following IEO or ICO requires a different time if you trade with short or long, you can get maximum profit

in looking for profits it would be better to do daily trading compared to investing in IEO or ICO.

Apart from the few IEO I have witnessed on the launchpad of Binance, I do not think there are any token sales that the price ever goes above the sales during the IEO and ICO for the past two years. Most of them are always being traded very below the crowd sales and this is the reason why It is always advisable to buy after the token has been listed provided the token is backup by a solid team that is ready to keep on developing as indicated on the roadmap because apart of some token that are not listed during sales, some will be listed but after some time they will be delisted if they are not being traded and that might be the end of such project. So in case you want to invest you can look out for some solid project that are conducting IEO on exchange with a good history and buy a few days after the token has been listed on the market.

Yup, that was too hard to know if the project was not a scam but there are some case that they scam people because the project was not successful so meaning the token will be useless because they didn't meet the goal that they need to read and some scam ICO would happen for some reason.

yeah it is very hard to recognize whether the project is genuine or not but i think if someone wants to invest in any project he must check it, he should read the whitepaper and other thing so that he know about the project, in my case i rarely invest in projects and the money is not very big like i afford to lose it.

Binance coin was one of the successful listings. But there are hundreds of failed listings out there. Theoretically, you can say that investments should be made after proper research. But from what I have seen during my association with cryptocurrency, there is no guarantee of success even if the team is good and the project is 100% perfect. The cryptocurrency market is extremely unpredictable. Shitcoins may get huge spikes, and good ones may fail to get any investment or interest from the whales. 

indeed the fact that the crypto market is unexpected, shitcoin can grow big but ends with zeroes and there are also good projects but when in the market they lose investors who trade in the market. although the research has been done, but when it is entered in the market list, then anything can happen and we must be willing to react to it.

I think I will choose to wait after the IEO and buy from the exchanges. Some IEO were not sure if they will become successful so I prefer to be sure that what will I buy will have a value. Of coirse I will choose a good project so it will survive and excel after the IEO.

i have invested in IEO, the token later turn out to be a scam and i lost my funds. i have waited for a token to get listed in an exchange and i bought immediately. the price failed rapidly until it lost its value. i was totally frustrated. i think the best moment to buy a token is to wait till it saturates in the market. after for two or three months. buy the token if you think it is worthy.
