If it was ICO, I would have advised not to participate in their pre ICO until they enter an exchange because that is the only time that you can know exactly how a project is performing well, and if you are more particular in holding it for a long term investment and not for a short term investment where they can  just pump the coin and you will be lucky to be a smart investors to withdraw easily, but it is not so easy to be that fast to catch ICO pump which could make you be a looser.

If is about IEO, it also depends too, if you are a short term trader and you want to quickly make money from IEO investment, it is easier to make money when you buy as soon as they release the project which most IEO usually have about 400% increase which they will eventually dump after the IEO sales of exchange.

They both will bring profits but i am not sure which will bring the highest profit because its somehow tricky, sometimes choosing and investing in IEO straight away is better and once the token get listed dump instantly, the value will surely go down if you hesitate.

If you are a risk taker, investing in IEO would give higher returns as during this stage, price of tokens are very cheap  and discounted. But be sure you are investing in a legitimate project or youll end up having coins that are of no use when these does not reach exchanges. Investing after it hit exchanges is a secure process as you have idea how the coin will hold in the market. At early listing period, normally these coins are cheap so its worth investing during that time.

Very straightforward reply, investing at IEO stage in the general sense will be more beneficial, that's if you understand crypto investment involves high risk and you are willing to take the calculated  risk after doing thorough due diligence on the project. Sometimes it takes grace to make decent profit when you buy in at IEO stage even after thorough research due to the market situation.

few months ago IEO really be good place to invest our money.especially IEO that launched in binance platform, investors thinking as if they put their money here they will automaticly get profits later.but now on, IEO has now more hype.only few IEO that able generate profits, and other loss their performance.

Whatever it is you want to participate it, it will sure have its own risks. IEOs have been quite successful, yet with some levels of risks. What if you buy after IEO and the price drops? So it is better to learn to take reasonable risk and be prepared for the outcome.

Of course join at the start of IEO. Potential coins or tokens must be in demand, you will run out if you don't move fast. Binance, being the most potential exchange for IEO, mostly always gives a big profit. Look at this chart

The ups and downs in the sales strategy are normal, although in recent times the performance has been poor, IEO at Binance has not died. The proof, the last IEO in Binance namely KAVA showed quite good performance.

several times I did not get a ticket from ieo binance., especially this kava project. but that doesn't matter, profits can still be obtained when the trade is opened. Sure, profits can be lower, but that's OK. I prefer to join directly in ieo. but for other markets it is better to look at the market's reputation first, no matter how good the coins are, the reputation will greatly affect, of course we don't want to get lost like what happened at bitmart.

I understand your point. So we must make the best use of opportunities. Join IEO does provide a great opportunity to get a cheaper price, before going up several times after official trading, especially the IEO in Binance. Because tokens or coins that are really potential will surely become a struggle and difficult to get, so it's okay to join at the beginning of official trading, if there is upside potential, don't waste it.

When IEO is done on big reputable exchanges, since the exchange has very large user base, so many people will want to buy in but just part will finally buy in and this makes it competitive. The big question is, since there is no guarantee that an IEO will give good ROI, is it best to invest at IEO stage or when the coin is trading?  My honest reply will be;  if you can take higher risk by participating in IEO stage, then you should expect better ROI when things go well (obviously we all know it's not certain). But if you can't take high risk, it's best to buy when trading begins (but don't buy the greens, wait to take position when the coin dips after listing if possible).

I will wait after the IEO before I buy some good quantity for trade. The market has not been itself since 2017 and any investment one will make should be thoroughly be investigated before invest. We have seen when the price will go up during the IEO stage and after  that the price will go down drastically. Also, many projects with good prospect are better to be bought during their private sales or during their IEO stage.

Why you didn't participate ? Are they country specific ?  Ieo is good but crypto coins are still the best in my opinion  . Why can we support standard cryptos before anything else ?  I'm not against the ieo and ico but I think they are way too risky   . What if you buy them and they suddenly got dumped ?  Instead of earning more profits , you will loose more profits but on the case of cryptos , once they got dumped , the recovery is always assured

it's better to participate in IEO and buy a number of tokens. if the price drops after IEO I think buy more IEO tokens. basically most projects either IEO or ICO after being listed on the exchange for about one month prices will surge. of course it all does the analysis first.

that's how I participate / invest in IEO projects.

You are only thinking about the profits you can get and you are not really thinking about the chances of getting those profits in the first place, when you do that you realize that participating before or after the ieo does not make a lot of difference since most ieos are not growing at all and are giving losses instead of profits and since you have been in the forum for such short time it is likely you do not have the experience to tell apart good ieos from bad ieos so it is better to stay away from them.
