Right now the market situation is not so much to make any predictions but can do some experiment at our own risk by investing into altcoin.

But if we have to try something different by investing into a new altcoin which has caliber to perform well rather than investing on a reputed altcoins like Ethereum.  Kindly suggest which would be the best altcoin to invest which is under $1.

Picking up the cheap coins is like something you want to take total risk on losing capital,better pick coins like BNB which are doing good in the short term even when market is bullish but the value of the BNB tied with their exchange's reputation so it will be one to invest as long as Binance sits at the top preferred exchange among traders.

If i have to invest in new altcoins i will prefer projects from gate.io or binance exchange, they promoted those projects based on their requirements and that is hard for many new projects to accomplish, harmony is an example of a well crafted crypto project

I don't know, probably Ravencoin? I belong to a group in facebook messenger in which my friends are telling some coins to invest to. I'm not telling you to invest in this coin but many in our group had profits with Ravencoin(RVN). I'll try investing also in this coin. Again, INVEST AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Because they provide blockchain infrastructure for a lot of projects, including Binance Coin.

You can see the entire list at the following link. And Kava, the new Binance IEO, uses atom's blockchain infrastructure if I'm not mistaken. Because I saw cosmos is one of the strategic partners of Kava on Kava's website.

Well, why not you choose the top 5 at least in CMC altcoins. But for me, I choose Tron(TRX) for long term investment and Binance coin (BNB) for the short term. We had different perspective view in choosing good altcoin and it depends on our research which even XRP I also invested that even centralized coin. I will suggest you not depend on other research or relying others ideas. Just have your own research at your own risk.

ETH is indeed the main coin to be invested and detained besides Bitcoin. And besides these coins, in my opinion, BNB is a coin that has a very good potential to have a high price in the future.  We will see the journey of the BNB, when all the coins have decreased in price, but the price of the BNB has actually gone up and this is really very extraordinary. BNB is the first choice after Ethereum, besides that BCH and Litecoin are also Coins that are worth holding.

The following are list of coins that are still under 1$ price and top coins as well, i believe they will bring good ROI but mind you old coins won't bring huge profits than new coins so don't expect much

there are tons of pick for an altcoin investment. i have several in mind that if i only have the money to invest on all of these i probably would be buying even just about 1000 token for each. but then i'd rather go for the cheaper ones which are attractive to investors who had been in crypto but are returning back like the people who invested in ADA and TRX. ETH is good but you wanna exclude them whatever your reason is try EOS.

altcoin is very much but I know only a few, namely trx, there, ripple, usdt, stellar, waves. I think the six altcoins are very suitable for investment because the team and its development is very good

Actually there are a lot of altcoins in the market you can pick. I think there are a lot of option. But I think BAT, HOT and EVX has a big potential. They are carrying a big influence and community support. I like this coins (tokens) performance until now also. But as I said above, you can find a lot of coins easily.

Chainlink is currently one of Altcoin's recommendations which is a great investment choice...  Chainlink developers are working so hard that their tokens are able to be green in the bear market. in the next 2 to 5 years, Chainlink prices will likely have a high chance of rising.  Huobi also has very good performance too, this Altcoin also suitable as an investment choice.

This things varies from individuals to investors and to desires. Most would just go to the coin market cap and check the next best altcoin after ethereum and say its the best to invest in however that might be correct but there are other lower altcoins with great speed growth icoq token is one, counting house is another

This is something a bull trap as we see in the market so we need to be selective in selecting coins to be invested. Money wise better to choose among top 15 list in coin marketcap for a long term.

There’s a lot of good coins aside from ETH and if I will to invest I will choose the best altcoins for me like BNB, Mb8coin, Monero, and NEO. I trade on those coins and make profit on that. In terms of long term holding I still prefer ETH on this because it will pump again one day and holding more is worth it.

I don't recommend ripple to anyone. It's a closest thing to a scam and garlinghouse speaks like a snake oil salesman.
ADA, NRG, maybe the upcoming MWC coin if they launch.

If you have spare money I'd still go for BTC or ETH. There's no need to differentiate.

 Do they have a whitepaper? Is their team easy to contact and identities transparent? Is there a roadmap for the project? How does the project differ from similar efforts on the market?
  Don't spare the details, investing time and energy to analyze a potential prospect is always a labor but worth it of your investment pays off.

I suggest visit coinmarketcap because most good/bad altcoins are listed on this website, I'm not a financial advisor but my altcoin that I'm holding right now are Cosmos, ripple, Bat and CZH.
If I were you just make some research before picking your altcoin to invest to avoid blaming someone.

well , just choose matic if you like some a challenge.
the main reason is because matic still new and another reason , matic is the best IEO from binance so far i know.
there are still many opportunities that can be obtained from matic, although I'm not talking about veteran investments like xlm,ada, iota.

if I suggest you to invest in UBT, because I see the products of UBT project always progressing and have a lot of cooperation with companies, so it makes me sure if the price of UBT will be able to increase very high and of course it will give you a very big profit.

XRP is quite good to invest in a long time, but the price won't pump hard.

Dont always go in for cheap coins. Just target the ones that have potentials to rise upwards organically. Because it is better to hold few bucks of good coins than a junk of shitcoins. At the end of the day, it is the percentage rise in the price that matters and not the quantity you hold. After all, BTC which was 7.4k yesterday was able to rise by 16% within 24hour period while some under $1 coins were still struggling to rise by even 5%

If Ethereum is not a choice then I will go XRP. Cheap and more usage by now because of the small fees.

Everyone here could just blast their own supported token even if some of them are not really doing pretty well now because of the red shade all over the crypto market.

Are you talking about coins which are not on the top list or maybe, you want to play it safe? Well, if I got a lot of capital and have spare ones I might gamble with low marketcap coins/tokens which I believe will have a good future when it comes to their concept and the team who handles it! Based on my research, I will go with MBN - Membrana which is a new coin that has it's own exchange wherein better future and maybe, this is huge but I can see it as next BNB.

I suggest you invest in altcoin like DOGE, XLM, TRX, and XRP, the main ones are DOGE and XRP because in my opinion the 2 coins above can be invested in the long term as well as prices that are pretty stable lately and very little about declining.

There's a lot mate but make sure to pick up only those good projects that are high market cap and has lots of exchange and also have a good working product. I suggest, bat tokens, pundiX, holo chain, and even cosmos but it isnt below 1$. You need to find a good project mate, but eth is already a good one, Im thinking why you want to exclude it?

I think you need to be careful on choosing investing on altcoin. Some alts are very risky since they are still on midst of their development. Yes, can earn big due to their prices compared to established project like eth, but if you want youre money grows or go back think twice on picking. I can suggest some good one like, chain link, revain, and other alts that has many external markets.

Altcoin will have a lot of risks that you need to be more careful during this time because the market in recent weeks has had big fluctuations and often happened unexpectedly, making us unpredictable . I think you should only invest in top coins because those coins will bring good profits if Bitcoin tends to rise.

Of course you need to have a lot of strategies to be able to make money in this market because every mistake you make will make you feel very tired.

I believe coins like skycoin, stratis , blockstamp, havven protocol will all bring good returns, try to spend time with top 50 coins on cmc you will see some golden projects on the list, many called them sleeping dragon, can't say they got it wrong

do not forget to look for more profitable potential on the top rated coins and try to find the moments that are on the coin so you can get a good investment, because in my opinion if there is a pump moment on the coin then you will not long to hold while investing

If I have to select anyone altcoin, then I would go for Bitcoin Cash (BCH). I know that a lot of people hate that coin, but it is looking quite under-priced right now and we don't have to worry about the continued development as it is being supported by some of the industry heavyweights. The main issue facing established currencies such as Cardano and Litecoin right now is the slow pace of development. I haven't noticed this issue with BCH, as they have enough resources and funds available with them.

Do not invest in a single altcoin only. Invest 3 to 5 or even more if you can manage to check their updates regularly. If you don't have ETH and BTC then they are worth to be included. LTC, Stratis and Enjin are also worth to take a look.  

Do not focus on a coin's price. Don't be deceived. The real price of a coin is its total market capitalization. There are too many cheap coins but their marketcap is already too high, examples are Ripple, IOTA, Cardano and Stellar. I am not against these coins, I just explained that they are cheap per coin/token but they are actually in billions of dollars worth.

I would go for Cardano. It is true that this altcoin has lost almost 98% of its value from the peak levels. But among the anonymous cryptocurrencies, it still remains as the one with the best technology. None of the competitors (Zcash, Verge, Veil.etc) don't have the popularity or acceptability that Cardano can boast of. ADA is facing a liquidity issue right now.. if the promoters could resolve that, then this particular currency can grow by leap and bounds.

XRP or TRX both are doing well while Bitcoin is on its rally right now.  The value might be dropping from Bitcoin pairs but with US dollar value. There's a big chance that your invested money will grow high. Timing with low value coins, if the market will continue to rise, it will bring good value in profits inside crypto industry. Every opportunities to rise can surprise the investors who will trust the project.

I don't think investing in altcoins would be a right step right now. After 2018 bear phase, altcoins have been suffering a lot. They lost a lot of market share to bitcoin. Only the top 10 coins make up the maximum of altcoin market share. Right now BTC is more lucrative as bakkt is gaining momentum and might bring institutional investors on board. Next year, halving is going to take place which will again gonna bring a pump. The coin to be watched is Bitcoin only.

It's good you understand the risk involved in  altcoin investment. If you are looking to try investing in altcoins below 1$, consider checking out TRX, NPXS, ICX, ADA, XLM.  These are my picks but not my endorsement, you should do more research and decide. ETH is my best choice anyway, but you already mentioned "excluding ETH".

It is better to buy altcoins that are belong in the highest market capitalization in the market like EOS, Bitcoin SV, BNB coin and also Litecoin. You can build a good portfolio if you have these coins.

I have bags of altcoins and it includes Stellar, TRON, Cardano, XRP and Bitcoin cash. Those coins that I mentioned have potential in the market and that's why I keep holding. There are now signs of market reversal today.   

Altcoin investment involves risk, but if looking for good altcoins below 1$ likely to be beneficial, consider XRP and DENT. I mentioned just two because I don't invest in so many altcoins at a time so that I can monitor them well. As it stands right now, 50% of my altcoin portfolio is in ETH, so do proper due diligence and take your own decision.

Try to look on the top 200+ cryptocurrency in coinmarketcap that is under $1 because some of them have a big potential and still under value but always take note about the risk involve in investing on non-popular altcoins. Do your own research first because its your own money and you can't blame anyone once you lose your investment.

To be honest. I have not seen any coins worthy of investment except for bitcoin. The reason is simple. Only bitcoin is surging in price as compared to other coins. The coin has not gone so much down in price as compared to other coins. But if anyone wants to invest, they can go for BNB, Bittorrent, Huobi coin etc.

if we exclude ethereum, it means the other options are in Lumens (xlm), Tron (trx), and the last is Binance coin (bnb). Of the 3 coins that I mentioned are the best and obviously the most recommended coins by everyone here. actually there are many recommendations from me if we see from the list of coins in coinmarketcap, but because many are not too familiar so I choose only 3 best coins and familiar with you.

If you really want to target investments in cheap coins under $ 1, you can choose altcoin which is included in the top 20 coins in coin market. It is a safe choice, but you must choose a coin that has excellent support like Binance's BNB which is the biggest exchange at the moment. Despite the very poor market conditions, BNB was able to survive and be able to stabilize prices.

I'm not a guru but I prefer to you to buy altcoins that have high 24hr volume like XRP, Bitcoin SV and Monero. The 3 coins that I said have potential to survive in the market challenges so it is good to have that 3 altcoins in our portfolios. 

Cardano has been developing hard and it's matured enough for me to recommend to take a look at it. I have others too under my radar but most of them are still in the token phase or second layer blockchain solutions so i am suspecting that they might still fall hard when mature individual blockchain projects start to rise.

BTC and ETH are the best places to invest because BTC also has a high volume so it will be safe to invest in BTC. If you are looking for altcoin as an investment place besides BTC and ETH, I suggest choosing XRP or Bitcoin Cash.

Thank you for the honest opinion and yes ADA Cardano, XRP or TRON will be a better option but these are old coins and new coins are getting dumped even if they have features what it's required to be the top coin due to the market situation I thought of experimenting as it might be very profitable if market favors but I think I need to either go for old coins or else have wait for the market to be in a better condition.

Never invest in centralised tokens such as XRP, every single time XRP saw a rise in its price, it was dumped heavily by some factors. A lot of traders correlate this to the Ripple company selling their own tokens to gain some sweet $$. I believe that Stellar and Litecoin are two good coins that are feasible to hold aside, buy and forget kind of thing. Litecoin was worth a lot just sometime ago. And Stellar has been attacking the market for quite a while now. Some people think that EOS is the best way to go, however, EOS has been nothing but fraud in my perspective. Long story short, Ethereum is the best if you want it long term. Especially with ETH 2.0 coming... soon...

If you are looking for a top altcoin that costs less than 1$, then I would advise you to invest in ripple, I think when the long-awaited growth of altcoins will start, ripple can give an incredible profit and in general watching the development of ripple, it is obvious that ripple will still show itself and the ripple team is constantly showing good news and discoveries, so you just have to wait till that moment when cryptocurrency market will start growing.

To be honest there are so many altcoins have bright future , but i am more confident that aside on eth we should invest on neo or on eos because this two altcoins will also have a huge price in the future and i think the money we will invest the two of it will be worth it once the bullrun comes again.

OK no problem I'll answer, I am currently investing in ethereum and litecoin. precisely I was focus at Litecoin, no special reason, I was just want it and some I use for capital to gamble haha  :D

I don't think an initial price for the coin will determine everything. I mean, I will invest my funds anywhere if I see a good prospect without having to look for altcoin which has a price below $1, I better consider in terms of the development they have done so far. I say this because it's not certain that altcoin which has a price below $1 will make you get more profit than investing in altcoin that has a price above $1. So, I would advise you to look at the Top 50 altcoins on CMC and learn in depth about their projects and see how far they have progressed.

I recommend Tron TRX. it is another dapps platform like Ethereum, and it is stealing Ethereum market. it was at $0.25 price when BTC was at $20,000. so $0.25 could be achievable again if Crypto market continues being bullish! TRX could be a good choice as it will increase in the upcoming bull run but remember don’t buy in one shot keep accumulating in parts on every dip and leave that if it starts increasing.

Justin is really an active founder of crypto world and most active one also. tron is actually one of the few coins I think will survive at the alts bear market (if it will continue for another year) and not become obsolete. They have a cult following, great marketing, and a pretty active development team. They also have enough cash to last another two years.

I won't suggest in investing in coins below $1, because that will be a complete risk that may end up getting the coin dumped or something. So I will suggest that you are better of with coins like BNB which has a more reputable position in them market.

You were advised very pop coins. People don't do the analysis, they follow the General trend. You need to understand that the season of altcoins may not be. Now a new era of stabilcoins is approaching. So I advise you to look at Tron and Tether. Both projects show themselves this year very positively. Developers are constantly introducing new things. Huge risk involves while investing in a new coin instead of reputed alts.
From my experience i can advice you that never invest in new alts for long term trading. Take example of MTC (DOC), soon after it was launched it was around at $0.4 but after few months the value drops even below $0.007.
Anyhow two alts which i believe are able to go high in future are Cardano and Stellar.

TRX (tron) in my opinion is good for investment, this is the successor to the ethereum generation in my opinion. I am not a big fan of Ripple (XRP) and I would say that XRP doesn't have a very good reputation around here. There are several factors that need to be considered while investing in XRP. First of all, it is not a decentralized currency like Bitcoin or Ethereum. And secondly, the promoters still hold a very large portion of the XRP tokens in circulation.

Even after all this if you want to invest in XRP, then I am not going to discourage you. After all, many of the XRP investors in 2017 and 2018 got very good returns from that coin. The only thing I would say is that you should invest only as much you can afford to lose. I still think that DASH has a great purpose and could be used amazingly as a saving stuff. I know having even one masternode is super expensive so you would need to find a website that does staking and masternoding as a group thing that way you can make money from your DASH even if you don't have enough dash to create one masternode because all of you would get together and would make money together, so your 100 dash would still profit a bit (not a lot) but at least it is a great way of savings.

I would rather put all my savings money into DASH then put it in bank and make a small amount of money plus the inflation would kill it anyway and things are getting more and more expensive so they would all be useless whereas dash would still keep its value against dollar while making more dash to me.

I suggest you review about Nano its price now ranges from $0.7 to $0.8. Its been called as one of the sleeping giants it reaches the price of $30 + 2 years ago and it is quite fast pretty instant transactions. But always DYOR. You're right about the price of the listed coins fallen and it all crypto in the market experience the said fallen in price. However, every crypto that's centralized is not good for long term investment which makes the number coin a worse investment. Besides, the coin name is XRP not Ripple cause is what security and remittance network platform while XRP is the cryptocurrency launched Ripple Labs Inc. However, I don't see Tron as a good choice either base on the crime record of its creator and I will advise the OP to choose coin like Stellar, Cardano and Monero, Dash and Zcash.

Cardano looks legitimately because it is created mainly by team of professionals and scientists. But, when you invest into Cardano, you never know if they successfully create the blockchain solution that they promise, as Cardano is currently in the development phase, thats why price is pretty low now.

XRP and XLM are cool too if looking for coins below 1$ but I wonder why people are so biased saying they are centralized coins.  The very first thing I look out for is project development and Ripple for instance nailed it with Xrapid. Cardano has no future in my opinion. It was being regarded as the next big thing in the cryptocurrency market when it peaked in 2017. The developers ignored it for too long, and in the end the users abandoned the coin because of the same reason.

But is the price actually low? It is low in comparison to where it once was, but so is the entire alt market. It's still has a pretty high marketcap for a coin still being developed.

I say this as someone who actually wanted to like Cardano and has considered it. Just that it's not an easy coin to like ... insanely slow dev pace and it can only go up so much before it hits a marketcap ceiling. The price of a coin is irrelevant as it is down to Circulating Supply/Marketcap so just because something is under $1 doesn't make it a better investment.

If something has a Mcap of $1M and a supply of 100k coins then it's price would be $10. If something had a Mcap of $100M but had a supply of 1 Billion then it's price would be $0.10. The $10 coin can easily increase it's Mcap x10 to $10M making the $10 coin $100 but the $0.10 coin can't easily x10 to $1 as that would mean it increasing it's Mcap to $1Billion

I laugh when people say Ripple will go to $1000 one day as their supply is so huge it would mean the Mcap would have to be $Trillions which is not going to happen.

Basically most altcoins follow the growth pattern followed by ethereum. When we look for altcoins that are promising to give profit other than ethereum, my first choice will be waves, next is cardano. Other than these two Iota will experience good growth as it has more usage around compared to the rest of the altcoins. Litecoin is good to invest, from my experience it is an asset good for trading than long term holding.

That's a good choice to pick those in the top 100 list altcoins those are best way for us to invest. But we never expected that also on when be start for increasing a price on it. As of now the price of the altcoins are always stable and ill think it is time for us to invest more altcoins, They are also for a long term investment so we need more months or years before the time of them has come. But ill have some read some prediction from the other people in here also the altcoins it can start a price increasing on when the BTC will touch a price of $15k to $20k it was a prediction only not totally sure on when.

Coins under $1 are seldom to grow unless there is a sudden changes in the market that favors it. The price is kind of low but then it must depend on the season. Study the trend and history of the coin but it is not guaranteed that you can point out the date with lowest price to buy. Personally, I will look out coins with good trading volume because even though the expected profit isn't that big, at least the coin is in more stable ranking. Try to find among the top 100 in the ranking of coins and filter it out by researching.

What sort of bull crap? Do you even realize that USDT is a stablecoin? It is not a coin that is suitable for investment, as USDT is pegged on part with the United States Dollar. Holding USDT for the long term is illogical. If you want to hold, then hold United States Dollar banknotes. The returns will be the same, and the risk will be lower. Ethereum is no doubt one of the top best altcoins. Notwithstanding that, there are potential altcoins which are still much undervalued below 1$. I can say Atomic wallet Coin is a good altcoins with potentials below 1$. Its ATH is within 0.4$ but closely sitting at 0.09. There is every probability that AWC will surpass its ATH in the next bull. Another altcoins below 1$ with potential is XLM. The Xlm project has proven strong in past months.

What the heck? USDT is a stable coin and it can't be considered as a stable coin and it's more like a fiat that already converted into the cryptocurrency. Almost all of coin on top 100 CMC are worth to invest.
The only advantage of doge is on its cheap txfees that can be used by any party to send any amount with cheap fees. Im not seeing another advantage from doge. It looks like better to invest in top 25 CMC.

Though it's still ETH that have a good position in terms of long investment those coins you mentioned are also good project to consider, reviewing and try to do much deeper research in order to have a much deeper understanding regarding to plans and future offers.

BNB, WAVES and LTC, they are all pretty good and they have undying news with their development. Above them, I go for binance since it won't stop growing fastly. I think it would be profitable to list XRP also because for me it is good to buy xrp then hold for a while. However they will not arise if bitcoin and ethereum join the moment of the market.
