But if we have to try something different by investing into a new altcoin which has caliber to perform well rather than investing on a reputed altcoins like Ethereum.  Kindly suggest which would be the best altcoin to invest which is under $1.

It is not good if you use $1 dollar only because it take too long before you can gain profits that you want.  I think you waste your time and effort if you have that kind of money so try to save money then do trading or invest it on some alt coin because there are some fee that you cannot do by the money you have.

In my opinion, the OP just wants to buy the altcoins which have the price tag under $1. You just mislead the argument of the opponent, his budget should be more than $1. By the way, trading or investing the altcoin can take years for reaching the desired profit level. Wating time for the useless bounty tasks and looking for the cheap altcoins will not surely bring the success from my experience.

Coins under $1 are seldom to grow unless there is a sudden changes in the market that favors it. The price is kind of low but then it must depend on the season. Study the trend and history of the coin but it is not guaranteed that you can point out the date with lowest price to buy. Personally, I will look out coins with good trading volume because even though the expected profit isn't that big, at least the coin is in more stable ranking. Try to find among the top 100 in the ranking of coins and filter it out by researching.

In my opinion, if you invest in coin whose price is under $ 1, I am more prepared for Doge coins, because at times developer will pump the coins, learn from  history of Doge who had pumped up to 200 satoshi, it's just that the time is when we can't predict accurately, the most important thing to buy at the right time like this, because the developer hasn't made a pump anymore.

so far, I only think of the best altcoin after ethereum that is good enough to hold is BNB. Tron (TRX), Cardano (ADA), and Stellar (XLM) might be good choices. all three of these coins have the potential and a price below 1$. more importantly these three coins have a large marketcap, so it's difficult to manipulate. and if seen from its development, maybe these three projects are quite good and suitable for long-term investment.

Best altcoin for investing is tron because have serious team to grow up their coins, you can buy tron for your altcoin investing and hold more one year and get your profit with tron coin, I think only tron have serious for building their product and give good service for investor with higher price, tron have good platform with many product want to working with them, last product is Samsung want to adopt tron as their payment platform.

The few coins/tokens that I am closely paying attention to are Harmony's ONE, Monero's XMR, COSMOS (ATOM), LINK and a few more. If a bull runs come those coin would be a safe bet IMO

yes, as you can see there are already many users giving suggestions for OP with many choices and maybe the results of their research or their investment too. the most important thing is that the OP is wiser before investing in cryptoqurrency. I will only add BNB to the list of altcoins that OP is looking for, BNB is altcoin that has good progress and one of my current investments.

What sort of bull crap? Do you even realize that USDT is a stablecoin? It is not a coin that is suitable for investment, as USDT is pegged on part with the United States Dollar. It's exchange rate is stable at 1 USDT = 1 USD. Tether was created in order to get through the ban on fiat currency usage in cryptocurrency exchanges. It has no other uses.

Holding USDT for the long term is illogical. If you want to hold, then hold United States Dollar banknotes. The returns will be the same, and the risk will be lower. But I don't understand why you want to hold the US Dollar, as it's purchasing power is going down every day. Usually people don't hold fiat currency. The preferred assets are gold, stocks, mutual funds.etc.
