Title: there are still many who invest in cryptocurrency?
Post by: kevinzxz on November 04, 2019, 11:59:31 PM
as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?

Investors might be skeptical in gambling their money in new projects since they have witnessed how ICOs crumbled and ran away with other investors' money. That is why some opt to invest in putting their money in established projects that are on the top of the market cap.

Most of the investors are very picky right now on what project to invest due to market situation while the other investors are in sleep mode yet but once we can hit the middle of the bull run then you can see the throwback of 2017 again.

Few of the investors are putting their investment in IEO's as ICO's are already overtaken by IEO's, investors will not fade as long as they can still gain a profit in crypto currencies. They will only fade if the time will come that crypto currencies are not suitable for any profit.

Imo, people are just investing in BTC, i know i am, 1/2ing is coming, could mean nice rise
Too many garbage ICO/IEOs in 2019, even legit projects like VBK did terrible in market even tho they have good teams, seems everyone has lost faith as a result : /
We are reminded to trust in BTC only i think hehe

I think after bitcoin went from 20,000 to 8,000 in a month, a lot of the traditional investors just cut their profits and left the scene. I wouldn't imagine a lot of people who invested during the pump to still be interested in crypto-currencies, after likely losing a lot of money during the dump to stay in the market and learn more.

ICO's/IEO's ruined the market to be honest, it was a huge bubble and it got a lot of new investors that were interested, disinterested since they lost money during that crazy period.

investors do not go away but rather invest in projects that are already strong in the market.
what's the point of investing in the beginning if it doesn't produce anything in a new project, we've seen that every new project in the market is always priced below the ICO price, not to mention the risk of the project becoming a scam.

if investors are not so interested in crypto anymore, I think they will find another place/company to invest in. the only thing on my mind that investors choose to invest in property, gold, silver, and other valuable things. but, I don't think investors have completely disappeared. I am sure that they are just waiting for the opportunity to find the right crypto investment. as far as I know, many investors are focused on top crypto, and other investors are waiting for opportunities to invest in potential IEO.

A large amount of people just aren't interested in cryptocurrency at all after getting burned buying near the top or just buying high and ending up selling much lower than their entries, though in the last run Bitcoin had up to $13.8K, there was another smaller wave of interest in crypto, and it does seem to me there's some sort of resurgence of interest in crypto investments recently. I've personally noticed a large number of people have switched over to mainly buying higher marketcap coins instead of the popular 2017 method of buying lower cap coins and waiting for them to rise. Hasn't been going extremely well since many alts have been slowly declining in price for the last few weeks, but I expect alts are likely going to start rising again after Bitcoin's continuing to range around and perhaps preparing for another move upwards.

In my opinion they choose to invest safely in this time because bear market is still maintained this year so risk investment is often not chosen by many investors. I think ICO / IEO is still a lot of people interested but now investors are smarter and they only choose to invest if the project is clearly developed. In fact in 2019 very few ICO / IEO projects are successful and this makes everyone more careful in investing.

Personally, I still believe in the crypto market and will continue to look for good coins to invest because certainly in the near future the crypto market will be a promising destination for everyone to join.

Some investors may decide to take a short break and some may trade on the exchange to get some profit. But there are also those who are still investing in IEO which is carried out in large Exchange such as Huobi, Binance, etc. Today many scammers are making fake projects to drain investors' money with the big dikon they give when buying their tokens.

There are still many who invest in cryptocurrency?

There are several tens millions wallets that belongs to someone. You can call them investors or simply owners. If value of wallets changes that dont mean that number of owners change. They still own those wallets. Once number of wallets will start decreasing that will be alarming.

Most crypto investors lose their confidence due to their huge loss, some might lost a stagering amount imagining a drop of 90% of your holdings thats crazy probably most of them didn't see the drop coming. But that scenario create a very hard lesson to most of them, I still believe that cryptocurrency will have a brighter future if scams are minimized and the ecosystem is regulated.

From 2017 until the end of 2018 I often joined ICOs. But nothing was profitable in mid-2018, although their project was good, the price did not match reality.
Personally, I don't want to go to ICO or IEO anymore. I didn't know what my money would be like.
What I do now save the top 5-10 coinmarketcap coins. I do not know when I will sell it for sure, this makes my heart more calm than having to follow the ICO or IEO. This is still the same as investing, but not like looking for a needle in a haystack. It's like we already get the needle and we just have to save it.

Some of them are probably quit on investing on ICO actually some people only got hype during that time and we can't blame them for not trying again. But some also earn huge money from other's losses. Those wise people are now accumulating while the price is still down. If there is new investors or players that will roll out money this is Chinese people who got bullish about their President statement about huge opportunity in crypto.

In the point of view, there are still many people who prefers to invest in crypto, but the number of people who wants to invest in ICO, and IEO is not the same as before. I am pertaining to the people who are investing in cryptocurrencies that are mainly established already in the market since the trust that people give is comparably higher that those crypto that are just beginning their first step to enter the market. Thus, concluding that scams and fraudulent projects influence greatly to this trust that can be considered hard to get back again to the market.

Some investors are now more into long-term or daily trading and no longer decide to invest in ICO, we already know that ICO is currently a lot of fraud and it makes investors more disgusted with the situation, investors will leave if ICO is still cheating. but there are still many people who are interested in cryptocurrency.

Money comes and goes in cryptocurrency. They raise the prices up as they also push them down. That has always been the normal situation inside crypto. But that is not what is apparently happening inside the ICO market. Investment money is decreasing severely. And the investors are not to blame because they have their fill of scams and dead projects. The money is now flowing into existing coins instead of the coins that are offered in the ICO market.

Due to too many failed ICOs and now IEOs not that great either, investors kinda lost their trust on cryptocurrency especially for new projects.
They don't really want to give their money to a project that might doesnt have a value in the future.

I think they prefer doing some trading than joining a certain ICOs or IEOs. And some of them might've quit entirely.
Since we're not like how 2017 used to be, and how bad the market condition back then, they kinda avoid investing their money.

I can say that there are still who invest in cryptocurrency but not many compared to year 2017. ICO was very popular that time, but when 2018 enters, the money invested were gone cause of a big loss and some projects were just a scam. The intention was to get money only from investors and left them hanging. Yeah, we could say that some ICOs became successful but look at the prices of their coin/token, it didn't recover, investors didn't make any profits from holding, and waiting to climb up... But now many of them learned from past experience, they are now wise on where to put their money.

This is not a mystery, why investors decide to risk their money in something? Because they want to earn money, how many of those that took the huge risk of investing in icos obtained profits out of their investments? A minority of course, then why investors should keep risking their money in a type of investment that gives so little chances of earning money? Do they even have any money left to keep risking in icos? When you see things this way it is easy to explain why no one cares about icos anymore.

Most people only invest if the coin is clearly listed because ICOs are often viewed as risky projects so they are always careful when investing. I think we are in a very unpredictable stage so any investment needs careful research. In fact, IEO is more popular because it is the only investment that can help us make a profit quickly and without taking too long to list.

investors are always looking for trends to invest. as is the case at the moment many IEO projects are still heavily invested by investors. because they consider that investing in IEO is more profitable than ICO for now. and I think investors will always look for loopholes to make a profit

It is not because IEO are the trend today, it is also because investors find it more profitable than investing only in ICO.
They always find an investment that will give them a profit, they won't stay in an investment which will not give them a profit and will only give them disadvantage.

Simple logic that varies regarding to this venue of investment. Investors who failed to their attempts are no longer interested participating to any types of investment due to the reason of losing their money. Out of frustrations they are no longer interested to suffered the same mistake and find other ways of business, for some who have good skills, chances to focus with trading is more likely to do than trying to find some luck to invest with IEO's or ICO's where the chance is very small.

There are still many, although not as much as before, because experience of loss, fraud, and others. Try to follow some IEO projects that are not clear, in telegram group. You will find a crazy promotion like; invest $200 and get a bonus $100 worth of tokens. Only novice investors will be trapped. Experienced investors will participate in quality projects, which hold IEO in large exchanges, such as Binance, Kucoin, Okex, Gate.io, and more.

There are only very few left. Who will invest in the ICO market anymore? If one is to do a little opening of the historical statistics of ICOs, they will be shown with a very high percentage of scam ICOs of different kinds. Some are very obvious scams while others are hiding in the cloak of legitimacy but will still end up making a scam exit. The ICO market is replete with these kinds of projects. No one will be scammed anymore.

Judging by the current trends of failed ICOs and IEOs, I bet you that only a few can actually invest in cryptocurrency ICOs. Majority now prefer to buy already existing projects than the so called ICOs. Myself as a case study, I stopped buying these ICOs since 2018 after I lost so much funds to them.

And some investors now also invest in gold, Investors consider gold as a promising investment without inflation.

Investors now do not believe in his final new project is just a listing on the market and the project is not executed as per their roadmap. Investors usually hold a long project in order to gain a lot of profit but only briefly the project is dead. So, many investors prefer to invest in existing cryptocurrencies for a long time, to avoid the risk of being too severe. Crypto in my opinion, is still a profitable investment since now.

There still a long way to go for bitcoin though. Maybe recent investors began to realize that future of finance are in this crypto currency community. Big names like McAfee, Mark Zuckerberg are into crypto currency that is why it has also a high adoption rate they may be as well influenced those non crypto enthusiast. In addition, bull run is still possible to happen and may be they are waiting for such big shot to come.

Investors? There are still in the market, avoiding ico as much as they can. They are doing other profitable things than wasting their time in ICO's.
They tend to invest in coins that are already listed on the market than risk their money with no guaranteed success to launch in the market.

There are still many investors investing in cryptocurrency, Some of them are not investing anymore through ICO and IEO But investors now prefer daily trading in buying cryptocurrency transactions when prices fall and sell when prices go up.Investors do not want to join the ICO because some of the ICO happens scam, So that's a trauma and don't want to risk.

We can say that investors are still investing in crypto, but investors are not in the field of ico investment anymore,
Most of them have transferred to trading and investing in physical assets. Investors have already secured their investment to avoid losing more of their money.

Yes, we should always research before investing in cryptocurrency and it is impossible for us to give fast returns on it. Still, I myself researching a lot about the cryptocurrency investment because now the trend is low for the altcoins, it is the right time to grab as many coins. This might be the best opportunity for all the people who are grabbing the altcoins at this level.

I am guessing more or less them were disillusioned after buying the top and left on the bear market or in the bottom like last time.
It takes some time for them to gain the trust back on these markets because it takes some time to go the stages of grief.

About what they are investing now to: people are different, lot's of people in this space has no earlier investment experience and they would be bored with the normal stocks anyway. But i don't think that cryptos are for those investors who want safe ride. But as they don't have earlier experience they don't see that this wild ride to moon will not be steady ride but with highly volatile market cycles.

But i am guessing that they will come back after they realize that the next pump is not a sucker's rally and maybe they learn from that experience like everyone else who have sold the bottom and bought ath, either that or they will have to take that lesson once more again.

The thing here is that, it's not worth investing in ICO anymore because either most of them is a scam or fail. Investors are smart and now for sure tries to avoid anything that still doesn't have a product to show. It's rare to see this kind of project. I'd say investors are trying to invest in projects that has been around quite long or investing directly in Bitcoin since people are expecting it to rise in 2020.

People are still investing in IEO, not ICO but many have stop investing because they keep losing money over and over, still we have many new people who still want to invest as well but scam projects is the main biggest issue, some investors are not strong enough, when they lose money once they become scared

I prefer to invest too in Bitcoin or top Alts than invest new projects or ICO. There are already tons of project existing in trading exchanges that we can choose from. Maybe if the project is too unique but still realistic then we can still consider investing to give it a chance to enter in crypto.

as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time,
ICO was a buzzword at that time. Blame it on the media propaganda, no regulatory authorities poking their noses into the market as to what fueled that bull run.

Quote
so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency,
Or that many wannabe "venture capitalists" got burnt trying to turn 100$ into 1000$ and ended up getting their money locked up in a shitcoin that is worth 0.1$ now. Being an investment banker is not a get-rich-quick scheme.

Quote
but now where do these investors go?
Gone rekt or waiting for market to raise so they can sell some of that bagload of shitcoin.

Quote
because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?
I would have said bitcoin but its beyond the point of reach at this point. If bitcoin falls b 1k-2k USD then buy it at the dip for long term. You could also look into the more traditional markets like stocks, commodities, metals.

In short, every market has this up and down cycle. Its important to enjoy the bull and suffer the bear. Only then can you be a successful trader.

I know there are scam projects in 2017 as well but investors are able to make profits out of them so i can boldly say that you don't need to do thorough research to invest in projects then unlike 2018 after bear market began, i won't be surprised if we see limited investors investing in projects this days, they lost too many money already

I am sure that many people still invest in cryptocurrency, but I am not sure if they are investing in the ICO or IEO because ICO and IEO will not be profitable for them. I guess right now, and the investor will choose the coin which has good progress in the market because they have a terrible experience to invest in ICO from the last year.

Even if they invest in ICO or IEO, they will throw a large amount of money into that project because I am sure that the investor now becomes careful, very carefully to select the project. Some of them use their money to invest in bitcoin because they believe that bitcoin will be rise again and will hit the very highest price.

Investors know that it isn't a perfect season for altcoins but they still got lots of choices to earn and gain a good profit. Most of them are trading and investing in top coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Others are doing crypto gambling. Investors these days know how to deal with every market situation. They will surely focus on ICOs and IEOs when the market recovers well.

There are still people who have interest in investing in crypto currency and they are just relaxing now because of past scams. I am sure they will come back when the market gets better and I think it's about to happen now. As bitcoin halving is approaching it will result in major changes in today's crypto market cap.

Yes this is not a favorable market condition to experiment with ICO/IEO as we have not seen any successful project for a while and I myself would prefer investing into top coins instead of ICO/IEO where it's not even sure if they will reach the exchange or not and there are too many risks involved, Investors would rather prefer to invest on existing coins rather than ICO or IEO but this is just temporary and I am sure the market will improve sooner once the scammers understand that they will not be able to cheat investor and bounty hunters anymore.

Investors are no longer to invest in ICO, they know how risky it is, but in the IEO, well there are still many investing on it, I guess it is still profitable. I don't know if there is more profitable investment than investing in crypto beside IEO, unless it is a HYIP, but you know 99% of them are scam. I believe there are still many investors investing in crypto.

There are still many who invest in cryptocurrency. Investments in several IEO projects in binance are still in high demand, because bination exchanges are large and most projects are successful. Like for example IEO harmony which runs out in a few minutes. But investors don't just follow IEO, Many other investments such as buying a few bitcoins and holding it up until prices rise and some are trading. But for ICO it is no longer popular, because it is a scammer's lair.

The majority turn to more reliable sources to avoid scammers. They are essentially IEOs in bigger exchanges that attract investors attention. But more money seems to be turning to BTC. Look at the latest BTC increase, the price has risen by almost 30% in one day, and considering that altcoins remain inactive, I can not find another answer.

Investors have become smarter and now few people invest in ICOs, because we know that most of the projects that conduct ICOs are scammers and therefore investors invest only in IEOs and the largest part of investors invest in IEOs that are conducted on the most top and most popular exchanges.

I think in 2018, any investor will lose a huge amount of money when investing because many scam projects have made them feel lost confidence in this market. Many investors have left but there will also be people who continue to stay in search of other opportunities. In my opinion, this year everything seems to have stabilized and the crypto market is on the uptrend in recent months.

Of course I'm not sure when the downtrend will show up but you should have great faith in this market because surely one day everyone in the world will know about the existence of cryptocurrency.

2017 is a good year for new projects, because of many investors are coming in and that time is the start of adoption but after the bull run, sad to say that many projects are also failing and until now they are suffering from a big loss. If I were to invest, I'd rather choose the good coins than to new projects because its a big risk if you will invest on ICO right now, they are failing nowadays and its a sad part of cryptomarket.

I think cryptocurrency is the most profitable investment tool compared to banks or the stock market. it's just that currently many ICOs are scams and many new altcoins cannot survive in the crypto market. so that makes investors afraid to invest there. and I think investors now prefer investing in bitcoin over altcoin. Over the past 2 years the altcoin market has continued to decline. so many altcoin investors choose to sell altcoin and move it into bitcoin.

Maybe they just got tired of investing on the new alt-coins and focus on the bigger ones.
We couldn't really blame them as you could see most of the investors and even bounty hunters have leave the ICO and IEO project since they wouldn't get anything from it ,
Most of them would fail and not to mention that there are so many scam projects that we have to avoid,
So for those new investors they might lose hope and just quit when they fall victim on a scam project.

Of course there are still many who invest in cryptocurrency, but since now the market is still not good and many ICO projects
a scam. Many investors have their money saved in bitcoin, because investing in bitcoin is relatively safe compared to altcoins.
There are also some investors save their money in stable coins, later if the market has improved and ICO projects have popping
up that is trusted then investors will move their money again. In my opinion investing in cryptocurrency is more profitable compared
to stock market investments or banks. Therefore, there are still many investors who are interested in cryptocurrency, only still in
a monitoring position.

If all investors will not be lazy to research there might be less risk for them if they will invest in cryptocurrencies as it all only depends on how we will research and risk our money. No, it didn't proved that many wanted to invest in crypto but many of them were interested to investing because of the potential profit that has been spread worldwide that's why the craze for ICO has been on demand.

They are no longer interested because of the number of scams that existed for the past year and with the contribution of bear market, they find it not beneficial anymore to invest. But look at them when the market starts to become bloomy again, they will come.

First, you need to know that after series of scam or unsuccessful projects, investors became sceptical to invest their money in upcoming projects, what most people do is to look for coins with good potential, buy it at low and sell when there is a little percentage increase. Also there are people who still invest but only on IEO conducted by big exchanges.

Many still have an interest in crypto currency and others are just looking for the right timing. Maybe they are looking forward to the further collapse of the market so they can buy cheaper crypto. Or others have not recovered in recent years where they have been scammed by ICO campaigns several times.

Maybe they invest first in something else and once they know it's okay the market will definitely come back again.

First of all there were never high amount - I am referring to institutional grade - of funds invested into ICOs. There were just some venture funds and retail investors who looked for a quick get-rich wa during the ICO craze. Now that most of the projects were scams and failed to deliver, of course that people are much more skeptic to invest in any kind of project. The single crypto-currency that thrives is Bitcoin with a constant flow of money going into it. Of course there are some altcoins like Ethereum that still have potential because they a tight history with BTC... but still if I would have been managing a fund with hundreds of million of dollars in AUM I wouldn't put my money in anything else then BTC.

In addition to the cryptocurrency market, there are many other markets that can be invested quite successfully.

Most investors left the market back in 2018 when they saw what was happening in the market with their investments and those of other players.
Moreover, the market itself through a long recession provoked an outflow of investment capital.

However, if you look at how the IEO is conducted, you will see that on large exchanges such as Binance Kucoin or Huobi,
demand exceeds supply, which means that investors are still enough on the market, but they will only invest in reliable and win-win options.

At the current context, people are holding money in the bank but they are not getting any expected outcome from the there, some people want to buy the saving paper or bond, but this is also not a good performing segment, on the other side, people who have much more knowledge about cryptocurrency those have a little faith on this platform, in comparison to another platform, Cryptocurrency is much better for generating your money and making profit within a short time but you need to take a huge risk because there is nothing regulation here, so if you want to make your money double then cryptocurrency platform would be a good platform. and that's why people are doing this.

You're right with what you said and that time was when the crypto investors trust most in a new project but new project owners somehow scam their investors which the reason why most crypto investors are careful in new project investment.

All investments in this world have a risk of loss, so, it is natural that suddenly an investment will be devoid of investors, so far I do not think if people has left cryptocurency as a land looking for profit, we can see now how it is increasing the volume of transactions that occur in several large exchanges, and this shows if people are still a cryptocurrency to make a profit, but if there is an opinion that says investors have left ico, I agree with that because indeed many ico frauds make investors reluctant to invest in projects ico is new, so many of the investors are starting to switch and choose to trade in exchange rather than investing in ico project.

You mentioned the golden year of crypto and ICO when an average project can hit the soft cap and even the hard cap! And, maybe you forgot what happened in 2018 with all the ICO investors! Last year, almost 80% of ICO projects scammed and gone with people's money! Some projects gained success but yet they failed to give ROI to its investors! So, this is why crypto investors are not very choosy, they are investing only in high potential projects or they playing gambling, which is better than investing in ICO!

Although it cannot yet be compared to 2017 which is full of success, IEO and ICOthis year provide quite a lot of benefits for investors who are able to analyze it well. However, because many frauds under the guise of fundraising, ICO, and other modes make the achievements of these successful projects dim for those who do not update. Here are some of the lists.

I know that many investors left crypto after the ICO situation became so bad. However, not all investors left the crypto, some still invest in ICO and IEO. Investors have to be more careful than ever, but for many it is difficult.

If something is less profitable than before, it's only normal that investors reduce hence this applies to crypto. New projects who do IEO on highly reputable exchanges most times are successful with token sale, but start-ups doing ICO nowadays barely cross the softcap. Some people take crypto as side hustle, and not a major investment.

We are talking about ICO, in 2017 there are many successful ICO because the hype at that time was very big. Even bad projects are able to achieve the softcap. But in this year it's different, other than because of the small hype, plus a lot of scam ICO, so i think investors prefer to become traders.

When investing in ICO I usually remember the cool song by Queen "I Want It All"
I want it all, I want it all, I want it all and I want it now...

Joking apart an investment is a risky adventure. Nobody can assure you that your investment will be successful as well as nobody cannot give you the floor that everything will be fine with ICO. Some people consider that such a situation presents only in ICO but it is erronous point of view because any venture investment is enough high risky.
As for me I have bought many various coins and I feel myself a little fazed watching the current quotas but it does not mean that you should not buy anything because sometimes I earned quite well having been bought prospective coins.

of course they are gone , u know what ?
becuase they just come to do 1 time invest ,
may u asked why ,because they came from another company.
then u asked , what that mean ? , well, believe or not , what happened on 2017 just not only because ETH found new system of investement, but behind its, there something hidden.and that is money-laundering. according many many trusted magazine , such as bloomberg or Cnn, there are more than 400,000 cases money-laundering via cryptocurrencies between April and December 2017 .
no wonder on that time market cap almost $800,000,000,000 .
even a stupid project such as (well if i dont wrong) INXT can going crazy on that time .

Nothing can beat the investor frenzy of 2017 yet. Everyone wanted to make a quick buck will buy any whitepaper that looks good enough. Now, 2019, many of them had already left but this is the right time to invest in coin projects where almost everyone has left - maximum profit potential.

Me too but not so actively as few years ago. Right now all the projects are doing nothing but disappointing investors. No project in 2019 has raised enough money and made solid profit, only Matic did well, but this is it.

I don’t know where investors invest in cryptocurrencies, but I know for sure that most investors are waiting for the right moment to enter the market. There is a high probability that starting in 2020 the market will show good growth and this will provoke a chain reaction due to which many investors will come to the market. In any case, I hope so.

You must be referring to the old crypto investors who already knew how and when the cycle is going to cycle. But if I think this is exactly the right time since the prices had hit its bottom.

There are still lots of investors even this 2019, there is Cosmos who received millions and there's Bittorrent. Several few projects doing IEO, not really notable enough that they got millions to be listed in big exchanges but they made there still. Maybe their investors are just trying to get some few bucks when its listed on Korean exchanges.

some people who are dominated by investors who understand crypto, return to the bitcoin trading speculator and they also take part in the IEO they like, others are still actively waiting for the momentum and return to their original business activities. Most are only interested when the high hype of BTC is connected to the altcoin investment climate, and they don't find it now, and some also give up because they have bad experiences from ICO.

There are still few good projects worth investing today and the rest are only scam ones. So investors are now very skeptical which projects to invest so they won't end up wasting their money in projects that they can't yield profits anymore. Gone are those days like in 2017 wherein investors gained huge profits as much as bounty hunters are also earning a decent amount too.

In 2017 Bitcoins historic run that led to the price being $20,000 was caused by a huge inflation that ended up popping as many knew that it would. Bitcoin in other crypto-currencies at the time weren't hindered by a bunch of regulatory bodies at the time. Everyone was really going all in. The Bubble  was bound to burst, it was just a matter of time. Heavy market manipulation caused the price to soar. It may have been a Bitcoin whale or two shifting large amounts around. Also at the time, ICO's were thriving because the SEC hadn't really stepped in yet to give authoritative rule.
The cryptocurrency market was like a wild west back then, the law was very gray, and still is now, but clearer guidance is rolling in slowly. The scene was ripe with money from fresh investors ready to take money out against their homes and their life savings. The scene was also filled to the brim with scams. The the governing bodies of finance stepped in and basically slowed ICO's movement down to a crawl. Just look at whats happening to Telegram and their TON token! The investors are still here but the legal waters aren't clear and are very murky, so people are treading with caution. The price won't inflate like it did in 2017 because it has been up to now self correcting from the previous bubble.

People are still investing on Bitcoins and other well known major crypto currencies. It is just that people are now aware that ICOs and IEOs are mainly a "scam" scheme, thus they are avoiding those kind of investment on project. This is actually a good thing. Bad reputation of cryptocurrency crowd sale before affected many starting ICO/IEO today, It is reflected on the percentage of the unfilled soft cap. Investors today are more often buy some established coins that the starting one because it is more of a good choice than investing in a crowd sale. I really don't know if this is a good thing because the good project that has potential will struggle too much that if they can't get enough support they will have the hard chance to fail their project.

The success of a certain project or ICO isn't just measurable by how much they've got from their selling period, not that they reach the softcap or hardcap they will good at all. But the most important thing is how they could sustain the market competition and get into the real action. Project developers have a big role here but sadly they'll never mind of it instead, they let that crumpled happen and project's die.

Earning a lot does not always mean that the project is successful. A project, when launched, must know a way to maintain the current state of their market. There are a lot of projects beire that accumulated a good enough of money but ended up as failed projects because they did not last long in the industry. They burned bright but they also burned only for a while.

For the many lost in crypto doesn't imply everyone list as some made good profits till date and one thing I have realised in crypto is, the more you get pained through loosing of funds the more you learn how to adjust and bounce back. If you leave because you lost, how would you recover...we have many traders, we have private investors and those old we had we still have some now. Understand crypto and be good forever.

Asking about other investments than crypto, yes is the answer. You just have to be resourceful enough to search on what's profitable in your area if its with natural gas, real estate, precious metals, etc.
But for me, crypto is already a good investment and you just have to know when to buy and sell and it's not that complicated.

Yes their are still investor want to invest in cryptocurrency, But they are most careful right now in time for investing. As you can see in this year we always heard have always a scam making. Not like in the past year (2017) many investor are willing to invest in a project and take to success in the end of project, And not many project are failed in that year also. in 2017 was a bullish market, it makes marketcap popped so fu*** crazy

but in this time is a bearish maket, most of coins are going down even more than 90%

that happen too in others market such as stock, bcz big whales wanna take profit from it

Most of the people that invested in bitcoin, ICOs and other cryptocurrencies are professional investors. Some bitcoin and ICO investors in 2017 are from wall street and some are from JP Morgan. Also, many top investment banks, hedge funds and institutional investors invested in bitcoin and ICOs after the market crash they all went back to their original businesses.

the failure of ICO or IEO is the impact of the failure of the team to manage the team well. the number of scams has made investor confidence declined. indeed the team will get profits quickly, but they do not think about the long-term effects of what they do. I think that is the obstacle of the ICO and IEO lately which experienced more failures than success.

for investors who are still investing in the crypto market, I still have a lot of expertise. just look at the big coins like bitcoin, etherum and others, they all still show good market capitalization.

When the price of cryptocurrency is destroyed, investors will remain silent to only see their money being rushed because ICO is almost dead, they are no longer interested in investing their money in cryptocurrency and only some are willing to vote for real ico, while others may have switched to property , land of gold, etc. investors may be disappointed and have seen many scams themselves every ico this year and surely the same thing does not want to be repeated again
There is, but for now, I think the investors is sleeping because they noticed that they are not earning the condition of the market right now. I think they are waiting for the market to recover, just like before when the market is so alive, it was way back 2017 when almost all of the projects gone successful because there are lots of investors that time having also a good condition of the market. There are still ICO that is being developed by now but I dont think they gonna succeed in a situation like this, but if their platform is that really good that makes investors satisfied maybe they can. Just be aware of the upcoming projects, because as of now there are still fraud projects.

not all investments are successful with large profits. we must know that, especially if it's an investment in the long run. because the value of assets will greatly affect market conditions. crypto does not always provide benefits because the risk of decline is very large. but this is precisely what experienced investors are looking for because they can benefit several times from unstable market price conditions.

Bandwagon they are. Well those investors probably are just looking out at the time wherein they will be gaining huge profit, and luckily they found out crypto currency at the time. Well when things are all fun and game until such time market goes down and everywhere is red they start to vanish one by one. In the current market scenario, new projects are hardly achieving their targets. I feel the reason behind this is a lack of confidence in the investors' mind & many investors lost their money in many scammed or failed projects. Now investors are more interested in investing in listed coins rather than in ICOs or IEOs.

When ICO reached hard cap and IEO sold out just few minute after selling open, many investor become rich person. now after many ICOs have failed with lower price with listed on exchange and IEO get with lower price too we are really scare for investing on ICO and IEO again, now many investor not invest with ICO and IEO again after failed with lower price.
That is so true. IEOs and ICOs have really disappointed the investors. There are only few people who got any benefits, otherwise mostly faced loss. In the case of IEOs, presale stage investors were depressed when the prices decreased once that season was over. So investing during that time must be avoided. Anyway, IEOs are the new thing and bounty hunters must not lose hope this early.

Absolutely yes, many investors have been on a safe side because of what had happened to them in 2018. Many if them have taken precautions of not investing into the wrong project to avoid loosing money to scam project. Investors are still pretty much available and investing on good projects with results.

Crypto investing is still profitable but that boils down to the type of crypto you go for. Right now, investors are very wise and have learnt lessons, so many if not all of them are still Investing but this time they are carefully selecting the project worth their time, money and effort; they are no longer being drawn by hype, news etc.
In summary, they are just being careful but are still Investing.

Yes to your question, there are still many people investing in Cryptocurrency, people still put in some good quantity of USD for crypto investment. However investors are now wiser cause different projects spring up everyday, investors do thorough research before putting in funds so most doesn't really invest in ICOs again.

In the current market scenario, new projects are hardly achieving their targets. I feel the reason behind this is a lack of confidence in the investors' mind & many investors lost their money in many scammed or failed projects. Now investors are more interested in investing in listed coins rather than in ICOs or IEOs.
Investors are more interested to use a trusted service, some icos are still able to reach the hardcap but it looks like that will be so difficult to find which ico is doing it right now. Investors are learning a lot from the past experience and they will never got trapped into the same thing again. Im not sure about listed coin consider they are still investing in IEO too as some IEO able to reach the hardcap.
But ICO lost all of the trust from investors caused by scammers.

In 2018 to early 2019, many scams have been reported, earning negative trust to many projects. Investors right niw are seeking more stable and more reliable projects. There are still many investors who wishes to be part of the development of new projects but they also learned, some in the hard way, to be more critical in choosing projects. The rise of IEOs did the job to once again ignite the market for new opportunities. Many ICOs are failing, and it might because of the bad rep that they could not reach soft cap. Hopefully, ICOs can recover soon and I missed those old times.

For me, cryptocurrency is a potential market, it always brings opportunities to enrich long-term investors. I believe that in the near future the market will be stable and recover. There are currently many long-term investors in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether and Litecoin, these are the strongest coins on the market. I will also use my savings to buy some cryptocurrencies in the top 20 and long-term holdings.

One of the things about life is that, something might not work for you but will work for a greater number, I can say this is how investing in the crypto sphere is. Most people always takes their time to scan projects before investing in this category always have higher chances of success. Nevertheless on a greater note, investors are now very selective of the project to invest which is why most projects struggle to make even softcap while a few smashes softcap easily. To your question, yes Investors are still Investing but on a few projects.

There are still investors in cryptocurrency,  infact alot of them. But everyone is trying to be careful about investing into new projects so they dont run at loss if those projects eventually do not reach their soft cap and investors lose money afterwards.  People still invest, just that it is done with so much caution

Investors are very much interested in investing.  We know from the word go, that one can occassionally experience losses,  but at the same time, ther will be good times when profits will be made. So, I dont think investors have stopped because they have made losses. What I think is that many of them are taking their time in invest in already established projects instead of new ones

But now many of them learned from past experience, they are now wise on where to put their money.

on 2018 yes but after 2018 ? the state of ico's have somehow recovered not just ico but also cryptocurrencies    . on 2017 the status of crypto are still new and it only boom after its peak where it happened on the last quarter but how about now  ?  two years have passed and many deveoplments and improvements are now being created and still on processed  .  so i can say that cryptos these days are now more popular therfor many people are investing on it now compare to before  .

The hype last year came along with massive speculation and many new promising blockchain projects came to light and people wanted to be in on the ground floor of the next big thing. The hype was mainly due to surging prices and potentially with some bitcoin price manipulation thrown in. most people did not even know even basics of Blockchain, and they had no idea about the projects they were investing in.

Then too many people got burned with the fact that there is a limited use case for most coins and it was just market interest driving up the price. the next cryptocurrency surge will be driven by a series of positive news headlines about any sort of significant blockchain technology and cryptocurrency being embraced by a large entity, a powerful Fortune company, or a large institution such as a national government.

Being an investor must be prepared to lose and take risks if the project does not run smoothly, and in fact it is not their desire and they also want to get a good profit in the project.
So in my opinion, investors are very careful and thorough in choosing projects that benefit them, and even though there are a number of profitable projects, it is sometimes difficult to predict when optimal profits can be achieved.

Exactly, we have seen many coins disappeared from the market due to less activity from the team, those fakes project their main agenda is to steal the money raised through crowdfunding. After listing in the exchanges we don't see any value to the coin, all listed coins will not generate volumes in the market.

I don't think it's not interested in investing in crypto. in my opinion investing in cryptocurrency remains attractive and profitable. it's just that since 2018 many ICOs have cheated making investors afraid to invest in ICOs. and also bitcoin prices tend to be stable. so the crypto trading market is not too crowded. but I'm optimistic when bitcoin is split in half and the crypto market bull will be crowded again. because an increase in bitcoin will always be followed by an increase in altcoin. so when bitcoin is bullish, the crypto market will be crowded and will attract many investors again.

ICO and IEO platform don't have establish business. after raising money they are delaying for trading because of taking more time for product launch. That's why am I moving to STO platform instead ICO/IEO. Because they have business just need money for expanding.

I have invested on MEGA security token. Because I know about the company's business products for two years. They are expanding business from europe to china and USA. Token is new but business is old. Trading is ongoing in stellar dex. Soon, MEGA security token will list on largest STO exchange.

For the trade or to be able to receive the token, a wallet, e.g. www.stellarport.io needed. Trading Details at

Does it gives a positive impact to the market? Maybe it have but it is just in short period of time. Not actually it gives assurance that you'll be able to stay in line if ever we reach the softcap cause the most important is how this project worthy of our trust and could have a reason to be on the market. Investors are wise enough to choose a project that could give them profit. What makes them more attracted is by seeing a working product or having a good market share.

From the past few years, many people invested on ICOs and as a result, the number of ICOs grew massively. It came to the point where greedy people saw it as an opportunity to waste other people's time and steal their money. Scams showed up more often and it led investors to lose trust upon ICOs. We now have IEOs which are way better than ICOs in terms of reach its cap. Many people also became full of waiting for too long for their rewards on ICOs and that can be a factor why they don't invest on it anymore.

I understand many new investors might regret delving into crypto when they are at loss, especially those who invested in ICOs. What about those new investors who made profit from investing in IEOs on some exchanges like Binance, OKEX, Gate.io, Huobi, Kucoin  especially. Someone I introduced to crypto invested in TOKO IEO on Kucoin and the outcome was cool, even though the price went down recently but he already sold 80% of his tokens and made good profit.

In the crypto market, some coins and projects lose and gain value daily based so we should invest in these coins but only when you are sure about the worth of the projects. Daily earning is risky as only expert investors can win from it. There is a number of projects that find trustworthy and hold it until the price recovers, good investors buy at dumping sessions.

After the bull run 2017 the market turns bearish and those who bought at peaked price lose their money due to panic selling and lack of patience. Now its been almost 2 years since the last bull run the investors are hesitating to invest because of their past losses. ICO and IEO are not really reliable investment some of them failed because of having a hard time reaching the softcap. If the market turns up consistently they might become interested to invest in crypto again if they see that its safe to engage themselves.

In my opinion, because of the volatility in cryptocurrency trading, their investment will now be more carefully scrutinized, they are monitoring the market day by day and they are only investing in projects that are already strong on the market, in addition they can use their money to invest in other assets such as real estate, gold, silver ... in my view, cryptocurrency will still be a suitable investment option in future, but it will not be illuminated during this time.

That was on the past 2017 where almost all of the ICOs reached their soft and hardcap so the investors become more active on that year. Right now we don't know yet the percentage or the number of the investors who are investing in the cryptocurrency maybe they were lessen because of the many failed projects that was happen this year and the past year 2018.
One thing I am sure about is there are a few investors who are investing in some projects and ico until now and they are still investing in cryptocurrency because they know that the time will come that the market will boom again and they are waiting for that time. Right now I see some investors who are still investing in cryptocurrency because they see that it is more profitable than investing others.

It is not the safest investment because you can still lose money in bitcoin because it fluctuates a lot so you can be earning now and tomorrow you will be losing money. The reason why they are investing more into bitcoin rather than other projects is they know that bitcoin is more stabilize compare to others and it is usually the first cryptocurrency that will pump.

There are still many people that invested in crypto currencies but mostly on coins that are already traded in exchanges. ICO is dying but IEO is becoming the new trend on crowdfunding.

Bakkt, Binance entering the US market, Chinese government appreciation on blockchain technology, bitcoin halving and other positive developments on crypto. These are driving people to enter the crypto market.

Cryptocurrencies are still the future of the economy. I think investors are still very much interested in investing in cryptocurrencies. There are many other investment opportunities but I still believe many people still believe in cryptocurrencies.

The investor's interest has been down a lot if we compared it to 2017 but i'm agree some of investors are still trust cryptocurrency as the future of currency so they keep investing eventhough there are so much scam and fake project and also cryptocurrency is labeled as a currency for crime or something like that but the usefulness of cryptocurrency is beyond people mind. I'm sure i will see the future when everyone has their cryptocurrency wallet and they made a transaction without cash money no more

investors may currently refrain from investing and I'm sure now many of them are starting to turn to trading.
when there is time an appropriate moment to start investing (the market has a bullish sign) the investment will start crowded again (for sure)

I still fully believe that long-term investment in the cryptocurrency market will bring us a lot of money in 2020. Currently the market is more stable and starts to show signs of growth. Currently, many big investors still believe in Bitcoin and altcoins in the top 100. I guess that in a few months, Bitcoin will recover and reach the price of over $ 15,000. I suggest we buy and hold Bitcoin for a long time.

as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?

There are some campaign but I think it was hard to trust because sometimes even there are a lot of investor or participants, the value of the token releases has no value so in that case it was not good for now to join for some campaign.

for now it's difficult to find campaigns that provide benefits for investors and campaign participants, maybe there are but I can't find it so far. have to do research carefully to be in the current trends

Bitcoin has given almost 200% returns so far this year. Many of the established altcoins have also given similar returns, such as Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Ripple. But very few of the new coins and tokens have fared well this year (there have been some exceptions such as LEO). Due to the volatile condition of the market, users are sticking to the already established coins rather than going for the new ones.

2017 was definitely the boom of the ICO market year and also the year within which most people got scammed with shit projects, don't always forget the latter too. Investors these days are now looking for projects with good team member and also experience and on top of it all, already developed a product into this industry even before the solicit funds to accomplish a much larger dream. For instance the team of Somnium Space are doing a wonderful job with their project and they have the full support of their community members. Their Initial Land Offering is going on pretty well.

This year only Bitcoin has the most stable growth of all coins and the uptrend is starting to return to this market so consider investing in some new coins that are available in this market. In my opinion you should choose new coins like Atom, Kava, Matic because these are very promising coins and are expected to grow very high in 2020. Of course this is just my opinion and everything depends on your decision.

for projects that do not reach softcap, I think they can seek outside funding, or a single investor who is willing to pay to achieve the softcap target that they agreed with the return on investment that they agreed on
There are many new projects and new altcoins, but some investors still choose BTC for long-term investments, new products from new altcoins still make investors doubtful because market conditions are down, but for traders, they will buy more new altcoins to get quick profits. by buying at low prices

I don't think investors are no longer invested in cryptos just because of the marketcap was down that you could tell they are no longer interested in it. There are many investors like to invest in cryptos especially in bitcoin, I'm sure they are holding for now and wait the bullish market to happen. Investing crypto is only I know profitable investment.

You need to have more patience because from the start you invest here in crypto specially in eth you already know the risk and consequnces.

That's right, they are just waiting for the perfect moment, right time and right news when the price will go up, they will for sure invest as they will know that the demand is increasing and that the whales are already awake and I am one of them, I am holding some but also looking for a good chance to earn for a very short time, so I am looking forward for it, and I think in the upcoming halving some good news and good price will happen.

In order to invest in cryptocurrency, it is not necessary to invest in ICO or IEO. You can invest in a cryptocurrency that is in the TOP 20 on the coinmarketcap website, or in a cryptocurrency that gives passive income. I do so.

In my opinion this is a safer way to invest in this market because ICO/IEO often have a lot of big risks and if not careful, you will lose a lot of money in this market. Investing in the top 20 coins does not bring much profit but if hold in the long term, the opportunity will still be available because the demand for investment in the top coins has been on an upward trend recently. I think it is advisable to choose only a few big coins to hold and clearly divide the capital in this market.

Risk is involved where there is lack of knowledge. When an investment is made without doing some research earlier, the results can be anything. That investment becomes a game of luck totally. IEOs and ICOs have been disappointing investors lately so my suggestion is the same. It is better to stay away from them. The first choice of any investor should be bitcoin as it is number one in all aspects.

I always did not understand why people use the potential of crypto for other purposes. speculation and deception is what undermines faith in digital currency. For now, I just take a wait and see position and watch the reality show where the crypto industry will grow.
The world economy is so bad that people are desperate about making more money, and this is the main thing that is making them to take advantage of cryptocurrency more for speculation purpose and making of money than to use the cryptocurrency for the real use case of it, so for now, we will still be getting people using cryptocurrency for more of speculation.

If you look at the topic of the op itself, it speaks everything that I am saying here completely, because why was his heading not that “we still have many people that are using cryptocurrency”  why is it the aspect of just investment that he picked on, we still need to get to that age where you will see that cryptocurrency is more useful for making payment than even investment itself.

Investors are still interested in investing in cryptocurrencies, but they are afraid to see the ICO crash and rampant rampage in the market. They will only choose projects that have a long background and strong growth, not new platforms.

Few of the investors are putting their investment in IEO's as ICO's are already overtaken by IEO's, investors will not fade as long as they can still gain a profit in crypto currencies. They will only fade if the time will come that crypto currencies are not suitable for any profit.
I don't know much about IEOs, but I'm painfully aware of how scam ridden the ico space has become, and I say good riddance if all of them die and no new ico's come to market.  There have to be better uses with which to put Eth, Neo, and other blockchains than for scam tokens.  That's all the ico market has ever amounted to.

And Op, 2017 was a wild year for crypto and people were buying anything and everything they could, which of course was why it all came crashing down in 2018.  Hopefully investors wised up and *if* they return to crypto they'll only choose coins with solid prospects and not overhyped scam coins and tokens.

I don't think people actually lost interest in crypto at all.  They just got burned pretty badly by buying the wrong things.  It takes a while before they learn to touch the hot stove again.

There is also a slight risk in IEOs as if you will invest in IEOs of low volume exchanges then its price will pump after the end of the sale so try to invest only in those IEOs which are launched on high volume exchanges.

The traders were wise even in that time but the situation was that there were day trading in which every coin was increasing and the day traders were investing their money in these coins and in that some long term holders invested their money in that coin thinking that they will increase more in the future.

It is really simple but many do not want to think about it because it means that their own chances of making money are even slimmer than what they thought, I would like for the days in which many of us were innocent and believed that we needed many cryptocurrencies to change the world but now we know better, bitcoin and a few other cryptocurrencies are all what we need and the rest of the coins do not really have any other purpose except being there to speculate with them.

During this time any investment can put you at great risk because the constant volatility can make people lose money here. This year I have very few transactions and only analyze this market so this time I will choose to wait and be more patient. Maybe the opportunity will come to everyone again next year but this is just my personal prediction and everything depends a lot on the upcoming market trend.

In the market, both the stock market or forex, including cryptocurrency, when the market is in a bad condition, they better wait and see. I think that every investor will take the opportunity when the market is down and many big investors are accumulating coins at low prices

It is a basic strategy which every investor and company will plan when the market condition is out of control because they will grab the low valued coins in the market. This will definitely help the investors make a decent profit when the market starts recovering again.

Exactly, the correction or the purge and bloodshed of this market can be intimidating but if we are knowledgeable enough, it will not be difficult, and above all, this market always has strong support and lack of control from the rules, which creates a series of opportunities and huge profit chains, so many people still do not care and continue to pour money into crypto. Because this mine still produces too much gold every year, not only because of negative trends and ridiculous reasons that ignore this source of profit, a wise investor and a broader view will clearly see this advantage.

Now any project needs to be carefully considered as we cannot predict what will happen if the market falls. Investing in an ICO or IEO is the two most dangerous options but if you know how to research before investing, you will avoid a lot of unnecessary risks. I am not sure about the future of ICOs but surely this form will soon be forgotten and IEO will be a new investment trend in this market.

It's really hard to make money from new projects but if listed at the top exchanges, your chances will be broadened and you can make a lot of money from those IEO projects.

There are still a huge number of investors investing in cryptocurrency projects both upcoming and already existing. However the concern is, they are only interested in immediate profit which is why in most IEOs once after successful sales and trading opens they dump; only a few IEOs are stilling maintaining status quo that is, giving a high return after some days. One thing which has been relative about this space is that, once investors spot a good IEO they will invest and hold and vice versa.

there are investors, and many of them..
you can see that by the thriving ecosystem..
there are upcoming 15 new listings in coinbase (fresh new projects)
many private sales
i think that there are few million investors worldwide
you can check it by checking how many holders coins have

there are many other investments in the world but cryptocurrency is the best because its tax efficient

It could also be that they are still investing in crypto but through different avenues. Maybe they are now investing in coins that are already trading on the market since most ICOs are now turning to be scam

true, I invest more in old coins than new crypto because the risk of new coins is very high than old coins, and old coins also have clear projects and their potential will also increase, different from new coins that are difficult to predict

IEOs and STOs are still in their early stages of development as ways for startups to raise capital with relative ease, and they should become more popular next year if the market remains healthy, but just ensure they meet regulatory guidelines if you plan to invest for the long term

Why not? 2017 was the explosion of ICOs and cryptocurrencies! However, it died in 2018. And in 2019, back to the IEO trend, cryptocurrencies have asserted their position in the market, bringing great profits to investors who trust for startup projects.

I think investors are now cautious about investing in ico / ieo because the risk is very high and the market situation is also not good. I do not know exactly where they invested but at the moment, I am investing in gold
It is not difficult to guess where investors in this market are putting their money, the answer is bitcoin, bitcoin is the only coin we can be completely sure it will have some value in the future, after trying their luck with icos and ieos for years and not getting results investors are using whatever money they have left to invest in bitcoin and only in bitcoin, I am sure those holding altcoins do not like this one bit but it was inevitable taking into account the terrible performance of icos over the years.

There are many investment options out there, like forex, gold and resources, stocks and many more. I think next year will be another good year for bitcoin and other solid altcoins. Investors are still here but rather than buying into ICOs and IEOs, many just buy leading cryptos by market cap like BTC,  ETH, LTC that have the potential to still offer impressive Gains while waiting for prices to start rallying.  Others would rather buy after the ICO/IEO project has been listed in an exchange rather than invest blindly when they know in most cases prices tank after listing.

I dont think its back by an IEO thats was different and we all know that this trend will end soon. More of the project now are making thier own exchange so they can start making IEO with that exchange .  The problem if there are many of them want it also  then mostlikely the hype might end earlier than expected.

When compared to 2017, of course it's very different from what is happening now. Perhaps because of the many scam projects that make investors become hesitant to start investing in a project because they do not want to get a loss from the investment they make. Maybe investors now prefer to wait for the right moment to invest in a project.

It depends on the investors, IEO projects on shit exchanges more likely not interested for investors and the result is also same as shit ICO. But if the project held IEO on big exchange like binance, people will hunt for it.
So, the reason why cryptocurrency is not as boom as 2017, i think the investors are much smarter right now for choosing which project worth to invest, not like in 2017 when every project is success at the beginning but dissappear after it enter exchanges

Like it or not, the only interest in the crypto is the possibility of making a strong gain in a relatively short time.
At the moment, the possibility that crypto is used as a payment method is very remote.
Once accepted this, even today you can make extraordinary gains with the altcoins: it takes skill, courage, and ... a lot of luck ... :)

Investors are going to come back to the market, I don't have doubts of that what I do not really believe is that they are going to once again trust in icos or in whatever system system that new projects are using at that moment to get money, we have seen that during this year in which by far the most profitable coin to hold has been bitcoin while all other coins at best had some small profits and the majority of altcoins are still 90% below their all time high.

Right now, many investors are dormant and will likely to wake up once they sense that the market will start to recover again. Investors will not fade as they will not let the chance to slide especially if they can profit from it.

ICO's are almost gone right now while IEO's are doing great but still struggling to get the target like the softcap and the hardcap unlike back 2017 in which most of the projects easily reach the softcap and others are reaching their hardcap.

Currently only Bitcoin is the most reliable coin during this period as 90% of investors will choose this coin to make long-term profits. This year, there are very few new options for investors so I am sure this year the market will continue to maintain the downtrend. If you still prefer investing, you should only choose Bitcoin or Ethereum because these are the two good options in this market.

MarketCap on Bitcoin controls all available cryptocurrency volumes. and from this it indicates that many people are investing in bitcoin. this is reasonable, because market conditions are currently bearish. and I think if bitcoin later rises, then this will be a signal to invest in altcoin

There are lots of investment aside from the cryptocurrency. Maybe they put their money into real state, stocks, time deposit mutual fund, or the traditional investment before this. Maybe who knows, but I think if they earned a lot from the last season of crypto. They will buy back those huge coins since the market now is down and this is a perfect opportunity again for them to invest.

That's why i think in future the cryptocurrency will surely trend and more people will get into this technology.

Investors are now diversifying their portfolio into trading bitcoin, ethereum, BCH, these are well established cryptos that are very profitable in a long run unlike the already moribund ICOs or IEOs that had become a fraudulent ways or methods by which project developers scam investors, I believed, the era of investing and earning good profits in ICOs is gone for good, although the over all bearish trend of the crypto market had not been helping matters hopefully the turnaround of the market might create another opportunity for ICOs.

Binance coin BNB, dropped today, its a great coin which I buy a lot of to convert it from BNB/CAN CanyaCoin on binance dex.  https://www.binance.org/en/trade/CAN-677_BNB (https://www.binance.org/en/trade/CAN-677_BNB)

Of course, Canyacoin is not listed in any other exchange because of buying Canyacoin you can also buy them with the Bitcoin which is listed in the other exchanges. If you are good about Binance coin better hold the Binance coin instead of converting them with another coin.

In 2017 and early 2018 lots of investment has done in crypto project most of the project failed to deliver what they promised . Some projects raised the fund and disappeared some became scam . Most successful project like HERO They claimed backed by alibaba raised more than 45 million dollar they just exist in Hitbtc that too even low volume . It was the greed from both side investor as well as ICO project lead to this huge losses. Investors wanted quick profit by investing in crypto project and ICO project wanted raise quick money .

ICOs are now not as effective as like before. ICOs now mostly not reach their softcap that is why they failed. Investors are having vague thoughts in investing in ICOs because some project takes the invested money of investors for their own cause. And for some cases, even if they did succeed in reaching their target cap listing on exchanges are now become their problem. IEO, on the other hand, is better compared to ICOs where IEO directly offers their tokens on partnering exchange it is just coincident that we were on the bear market that is why IEO is not that good for a while.

Most of them are waiting for the right time to invest here. As we know that many people just want to get a quick profit, while the current market conditions are bad and they may not return as enthusiastic as a few years ago. I don't think all of them came out, some who are good at seeing the situation are still active in buying some top-ranking coins to keep it and will resell when the altcoin season comes. Our crypto market is not really good right now and the bad news from China is regular. Meanwhile, Chinese people currently hold quite a lot of BTC. I think we need to wait until next year to get a better market.

There are still many crypto investors that invest on ICO and IEO too, you don't have to call them pigs and sheeps because there are still many good projects that have much potential and we have to support it. Maybe it's because most of ICO and IEO are scams so people see the people who still invest in ICO and IEO are dumb, but the reality some of them are seeing the potential of the project so they trust to invest in a new project

Yes, the market is not in good shape to estimate about the future of Bitcoin price, still, it is a very good choice for the investors to keep on investing whenever the prices of altcoins are decreasing. As of now, Bitcoin performed very well, even though we heard good news and the majorly with this fluctuation most of the prices of the altcoins decrease their prices a lot in the market.

The recent market conditions are not not improved yet for thinking about the altcoin's potential value, demand and supply is main measurement for understanding the real value of the financial asset. The China New Year will happen in a few months and we all know what happened during the last events, the price will stumble around the $6000 in the best case under the mentioned market situation.

Talking about the far future, it can be said easily that the world is moving towards an era of pure digital currencies and bitcoin will be the king as it is now. Rich people will hold this currency in abundance. Coming towards the near future of bitcoin, the halving is on its way. Everyone knows what is the market trend during this occasion. First the prices will drop and then skyrocket after it takes place.

Of course! People realize the big potential on investing in cryptocurrency because they see that earning a big profit is much easier and there are a lot of crypto that can be invest and they will just need a patience if they will do a long term or short term.

That's why i think in future the cryptocurrency will surely trend and more people will get into this technology.
If we want the average person to adopt cryptocurrencies we need to offer something more than just a very good speculative asset, that is only going to attract traders or investors to this market and while that will bring a lot of money that is not really going to bring a lot of adoption and one of the goals at least for me is to be able to use my bitcoin in almost any store that I want, something that is not close to happen in my country in which I have yet to find a single store in which I can use my bitcoin.

Ofcourse people are still getting into the Cryptocurrency space daily, just as many people who made bad investment decisions or got scammed are leaving so they seem to balance each other, Mark Zuckerberg recently got into the Cryptocurrency space, The Chinese Government recently expressed interest in joining and some institutional investors are also getting in, same with individuals all over the world, we might just be seeing a Cryptocurrency revolution in 2020.

When Libra is fully launched it will attract a lot of new funds to crypto space. Big players like Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart if they start using and accepting cryptocurrencies people will start to be less scared of doing investments. Also the prices will be more stable too since they will be more uses to pay for everyday goods.

Still by doing that government will act to shut up cryptos used in any way. This is why we got less new investors now. they scared to lose their investment to nothing and ended losing all their saving which happen on earlier 2018 where all new investors jump to buy bitcoin and ended up losing all their investment.

If I have much money I want to invest with bitcoin and altcoin, I think have big opportunity by investing with bitcoin and altcoin to get much profit than use our money for other investing, bitcoin can up suddenly and we can get much profit later, but other investment waiting minimum one year to know how much profit we got, just one day when bitcoin up we can take much profit with crypto world investing.

as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?

Even though many people are affected by scams or losers due to mistakes in investing or due to unfavorable market conditions, there are many investors who still believe that crypto is a future investment. Sooner or later the cryptocurrency market will recover and may be able to reach its highest value but patience is needed

so far we can also look at the market volume section to find out whether investors have started to return or not, I personally see investment growth from market volume. and maybe right now investors are still waiting for good price movements, some of them are holding funds owned like me too

2017 year HYIP program is very successful, do you know Bitconnect? The investors you are referring to are those, people who don't know about crypto, are invited by bitconnect leaders to join the crypto world, and when bitconnect scams all of them leave crypto

It was a hype time when cryptocurrencies were discussed at every corner. People with no an appropriate experience wanted to make a quick money. And as a result they were scammed and left market. It is quite common situation whent it comes to any overhyped investment theme.

I do not believe in this balance. Overall there is always a net increase in crypto adoption. But speculation and trading, as well as investing, those are completely different things. I do not consider these guys users at all because they have no interest in crypto as money, just crypto as money-making tools. Just because Facebook is making a crypto does not mean it is adopting for the sake of it. They are thinking of 100% focus on profit.

Investors who oppose market trends and invest heavily are those who have made a lot of profits in the past through crypto investments, so they dare to take risks at this time, if the new investors will certainly not dare to make investments at this time.

As we are in the downtrend at the moment, people are trying to earn money in other ways.

It's only natural that people are still afraid to put their money into crypto because of the influence of the market that has not improved, because everyone wants to make a profit instead of a loss.

There should be lots of people who still believe into cryptos. It's an investment and not everyone is going to earn the profit, there are still going to be those that are going to lose their money that they have invested in the investment, cause that's part of the risk and since cryptocurrency is not like other investments like stock market ,it is highly volatile so there is a huge risk involved in it.

When someone is losing his or her money, someone else is out there making the money and that is how it works. But it still good for everyone to do research before investing and also take their decision and know whether they are investing for a long term or just a short term.

The answer is no. Almost of them was cut loss and leave this market, and only a few "oldbie" remain in this market with an emty bag, that's why you can see the market cap can not grow up. As I see in my country, almost people are invested in real estate and USD, and we need a hype like 2017 to attract their money again.

In the actual fact, many crypto investors have not really found it good for crypto this year because of the huge dump of coin price value. The rate of investment this year I think may not be as much as it was in 2017. Nonetheless, investors are still investing. I think investors just need to be encouraged to continue with their investment into crypto. The tide will soon turn for better in crypto. All we need is to be optimistic and not give up. There are still so many opportunities to enjoy in crypto if we do not loose hope. However, many investors are still emerging from crypto and those who have been there already should not give up but should keep their hope high and remain persistent.

That might be true a lot of ICO were still successful today but still compare to the past years of ICO in cryptocurrency or even in this forum,
A lot of ICO's have failed in finding its investors in the project and a lot of them also just a scam ICO because the token is not going to maintain in the market and sometimes worst the token is not even listed in an exchanger because the developer of the token have not maintained the token in the development. I think a lot of investors already lost their trust in ICO's and only a small percentage of investors are only investing and risking their money in their kind of profit.

Taking into consideration, not all projects having realistic goals or plan would set their milestone in a legal manner. Or in simple explanation, not all projects that are looking good are good and not all projects that are looking bad is bad at all. If there is a criteria of choosing the best project that has a huge chances of getting success, then maybe we could post it in here so people could finally have their basis of decision to what project they should invest their money into rather than getting their investment lost because of being to eager to invest with lack of knowledge prior to investing.

Those who invested before 2017 got huge profits from bitcoin holding only. In simple words, not all the coins were returning high rewards and still this holds true for the present market. Investing in bitcoin even at present will make people rich within next year due to halving. To make all sorts of holding and trading successful, the person has to spend in bitcoin because other coins are not very beneficial.

Those investors are probably still here, learning their lesson to not invest in another ICO and buy something solid like Bitcoin instead ;). I think it's a good thing that people are moving away from scammy ICOs toward cryptocurrency with real use case (i.e. Bitcoin and major altcoins). Most ICOs are scam from the beginning, once the money was raised the developer would gone AWOL lol.

In the market like this time, I can say that it's very risky to invest in cryptocurrencies, because market is unstable and market cap is too low.  We need a hype like 2017 to increase the inflow to this market, by some kind of investment trend like ICO or IEO.

I think it was a golden time for crypto investors who invested in 2017 and market was so high. But in 2018 it was a broken time for crypto so that maximum investors lose their money. So i think investors are observing market and when market will up they must come back here.
Investors learned from those previous years and now working out on how to take advantage. Those who bought and got lucky early 2017 are now sorting the market movement and trying to find the good position to take, while those who got stuck and still holding with their investment are also trying to
observe and see if they can scalp or do the short term trade. It's investors preposition on how to find edge to earn and to avoid losing money.
Those who invested before 2017 got huge profits from bitcoin holding only. In simple words, not all the coins were returning high rewards and still this holds true for the present market. Investing in bitcoin even at present will make people rich within next year due to halving. To make all sorts of holding and trading successful, the person has to spend in bitcoin because other coins are not very beneficial.
when I see the market can be get big profit. with the invest on many time can make us rich. why there? because condition of market very support to developers in the future. I think this not imppossible to many investemen get the profit to save in future. so many poeple still stay in invest with well. invest in Cryptocurrency market can be the solution to make us rich in the future.

What is the point in having a spike like the one that we had in 2017, if it can't be sustained? Back then, it was a wild and crazy bull run, which failed in sustaining itself. The correction which followed the bull run left many of the investors in financial ruin. And even now we can find a large number of users, who are stuck with cryptocurrency which was purchased at ATH levels.

Invetor in IEO certainly still exists and that is for people who want quick ROI profit and after that of course they will come back to invest again in Bitcoin because Bitcoin is currently only a very promising investment and now there are also many quality tokens that can already sale and purchase so that they might decide to make an exchange rather than participate in an ICO / IEO that is not yet clear whether to benefit or not.

The investors invest in coins which are having great demand in the market and along with that they also invest in IEO but there are a lot of risks in IEOs for the investors as many exchanges show fake funds for the projects and attract some investors who do not know the reality of that exchange and after the end of the IEO the coins do not show any good result and that investors are disappointed from investing in IEOs again.

In the market, both the stock market or forex, including cryptocurrency, when the market is in a bad condition, they better wait and see. I think that every investor will take the opportunity when the market is down and many big investors are accumulating coins at low prices
Investors who understand the market too well are making money even in this kind of situations, they acknowledge the adjustment that they needed in order to continue gaining out from the market. While in the other hand, people who are suffering from loses are those who are not ready not knowing that in every event there's cycle that's needed to follow. Wise investors will scalp and also accumulates, they will split funds and wisely balance the trading strategy that they will going to use.

Agree, experienced investors will be able to take advantage even if prices fall. Long-time experienced investors will not easily panic when prices in the market fluctuate so they can prepare exit strategies and sometimes they play in the short and long term at once in a few coins

Actually, the most people are not really interested in cryptocurrency itself, they are interested in getting profit. In 2017 we saw a great altcoin season when all the coins were growing which attracted many people to the cryptocurrency market. As we are in the downtrend at the moment, people are trying to earn money in other ways.
Without a doubt that is an issue, this market has gained the reputation of being great for those that like to speculate in a highly volatile market and while this is great for traders this is not really what businesses and what the average person is looking for, they are looking for a currency that is relatively stable that can be used to buy all kind of products and if we are honest with ourselves bitcoin is not there yet but I think that at some point in the future we'll get to that point.
right, bitcoin even though it has a big idea, but has not been able to be applied to the current conditions. but in its development of digital assets this is a good gold to invest. although prices tend to fluctuate, but I think it is safe for long-term investment

We are going to eventually get there but it is not going to be easy, governments are not going to accept that easily that bitcoin is used for all kind of transactions, for the time being they are not banning bitcoin because they think it is not really a threat to the system that they had put in place but when that changes you can be sure that things will change very rapidly, and that will be the greatest test for bitcoin because many companies and businesses are going to drop bitcoin as a form of payment and only the ones that really believe in it will keep using it.

Why even spend all that on advertising and losing customers when all you need to do is support new payment methods. The government can never ban or control bitcoin or any crypto. They cant even control things as they are. Bitcoin can already be used at many places all over the world especially online. This is the kinda debatable theme, there is no concrete time for crypto mass adoption. Maybe another alternative will surpass the value of the BTC in 5 years and everyone will prefer to use this payment method due to the advantages compared to the laggy, expensive BTC payment gateway. I also don't see the BTC as a mean of payment, it suits better in investments as a security asset.

I think most of them prefer only Bitcoin as a safe harbor. It's risky to invest in any new project right now. Therefore, I think they will continue to wait until there is less risk environment and high profitable buying opportunities in the market.

Well.... Bitcoin was the original cryptocurrency which was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto. There is no other cryptocurrency out there, which we can trust 100% (not even Tether, after all the recent controversy regarding the line of credit given to Bitfinex). So if you want to take as little risk as possible, then the only option left in cryptocurrency market is to invest in Bitcoin.

not everyone leaves crypto, because investors believe it will return, when Bitcoin has gone up, investors will find it very difficult to buy Bitcoin and it is likely they will reinvest in crypto which is cheaper than buying Bitcoin, so I'm sure cryptocurrency will return..

Cryptocurrencies are not worth investing now a days. Most of the project either not able to reach hardcap or they are not successful after coming to an exchange. Values of most of the new project's coins is decreasing after their launch on an exchange then whey would investors invest their hard earned money in crypto projects. Scam projects are another reason for low money inflow in crypto market. There is something really needs to be done to boost crypto market. In my opinion, lots of IEO,ICO taking place every single day is also a big concern for survival of crypto market.

I am one of them. I'm converting half of my savings into crypto but I limit my investments into popular cryptos and IEOs from trusted exchanges. I resist selling for small price changes and haven't had a loss for last 6 months though the prices of crypto decreased in the time.

Majority of investors of 2017 fell victim from scam projects and some of them may have pull-out their investment since the project they invested is not generating any profit or to minimize their loss and I think its one of the reason why the marketcap drastically reduced.

in my opinion not all investors have left the market, some of them are still active and are still taking part in projects both ICO and IEO. if there are still projects that appear then there are still investors who take part in it as well. or maybe the lack of investor interest at this time due to many fraud projects in addition to the still bad market influence.

When compared to 2017 it is very much different, in that year cryptocurrency was very profitable because the price of coins increased very high and then attracted a lot of people because people who are in cryptocurrency got a big profit and then started many people who were interested in it and where they are now, we can see a lot of unfavorable projects and a lot of falling coin prices that make investors get a lot of failures in investing, maybe now investors prefer to wait for the right time.

I think most of the investors in the early years are onto trading now since they can earn profit without waiting much time even though they could also lose some money in a blink. It has been two years since BTC went ATH and never get back again to that $19K rate so I guess they've done some research and learned their ways to become a good trader now to earn more what they've lost probably in the past.

Investors are not interested anymore to invest in crypto but because they are not profitable, IEO nor ICO now after their project listings crash and culminate the investor's disadvantage.
There is no word hold and holding it with a long time it will make a bigger loss again. So investors are now deserted and do not mean not interested.

Governments can ban bitcoin they only need to change a few laws and they can do it very easily, what it is going to be a lot more complex is to try to enforce those laws, but you are missing my point, if at some point bitcoin is made illegal most people are going to get scared and are going to drop bitcoin as a form of payment that they accept because they are not going to want to break the law and only a few people are going to keep holding their bitcoin, but if bitcoin can get over that difficult period which I'm sure will come then bitcoin will become truly unstoppable.

I think there are many contributing factors why most of the investors are gone, in 2018 when the crypto market was affected with longest bearish market season, Many investors or hodlers was affected by the decline of the most cryptocurrency prices "at the alarming rate" and it can directly translated to loses since most of those investors are just newbies in the crypto industry that's why most of them are gone. if they are still investing til' now i don't know. but for me the cryptocurrency was still attractive investment in terms of profit. but you need to gamble.

for 2 years ago precisely in 2018 and 2019 was a bad year in cryptocurency and very far compared to 2017 ago. Investor interest has now been lost because there have been many ICO projects that have lied to investors so that many investors no longer trust ICO / IEO at this time. and the fall of cryptocurency due to many scam projects. and hopefully in the coming years the scam project will no longer circulate in the world of cryptocurency, thereby returning investor confidence to re-invest in cryptocurency.

Maybe investors are not interested as of now maybe due to the reason that there are still no unique projects that caught their attention to get into investment because mostly based on what I have observed, most coins in the market just share the same features, some just add up their unique feature comparable to the first existing one in a sense that they just do a minimal manipulation or revision on how it will be used but the same aim on why that coin was created. Maybe also added by the fact that existence of scam projects results to traumatic experience on potential investors that is why they are laying low up to this moment of time because they might find cryptos to be not credible enough anymore these days. But I believe, sooner or later they will regain their trust on crypto and go start investing once again.

there really are a lot of bad projects that are forcing investors to stay away from investing. but now, even on large exchanges, IEOs are not doing very good projects. you see how many projects despite their early rise in price - fell as low as other projects that conducted IEO on small exchanges

Without a doubt investing in this market is a very wise decision, there are still many people that have doubts about the future of cryptocurrencies in general but we know bitcoin and several other altcoins will eventually be the future and will be used all around the world, it will take time but taking into account the conditions of the economy and fiat currencies in general to me this is just a matter of time, and when that happens we are going to be able to tell that we were part of this ecosystem before it became popular.

Last two years ICO and IEO have been scam with lower price and make many investor not interested with ICO and IEO again, when bitcoin back with higher price and altcoin have been potential with higher price maybe all investor back again with ICO and IEO because have higher price after listing on exchange.
however, until now there are still quite a lot of ICOs and IEOs being developed, so I feel that the developers don't give up on this. but, I think the current lack of investor interest is felt by developers because there are so many IEOs, and ICOs that are not what they want. well, so I feel that at this time not so many investors are looking at IEO and ICO. most of them focus on bitcoin and top altcoin.

I am one of them. I'm converting half of my savings into crypto but I limit my investments into popular cryptos and IEOs from trusted exchanges. I resist selling for small price changes and haven't had a loss for last 6 months though the prices of crypto decreased in the time.
If you have invested in good projects then definitely, you won’t be disappointed by digital coin market but with weak coins, things can turn out to be a little bit different. Investing half of your savings into crypto currencies was a very wise decision from you. Moreover, if you are not holding bitcoin at the moment then this coin should be invested in first. All of us are afraid of losing money but the problem is there are people who cannot manage very well the fear of losing money. I also afraid to lose money but I can handle the fear, even though the cryptocurrencies are high risk investment; I still patronizing it due to the potential rewards that I can get. Investing is good decision but we should make sure that we know what we are doing.

While many people focus themselves on trying to find the perfect strategy of when to enter and went to get out of the market the truth is that one of the most important factors when it comes to becoming an effective trader or investor is to be able to dominate your fear and your greed, if you are incapable of something as simple as this then it doesn't matter how good you think you could be as a trader because you're never going to reach your goal of making money in the markets with those psychological flaws.

as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?

I believe the major issue is that people invest only in where there's a hope for higher returns. The 2017 bull run was built on this premise, that explains why several persons were flocking to the cryptocurrency space to build their own wealth. I remember bitcoin was said to be the most practising currency in the world with over 5000% increase in a period of 1 year.

Investment in cryptocurrency is not only done during ICOs, IEOs, STOs or IPOs. Once can invest when they buy from exchange. Despite the uncertainty, there will always be investors.

they are no longer interested in projects because it is no longer profitable. In fact, those projects have grown strongly due to the fomo effect, in addition, the alts also do not bring too much realistic value as people expect. That's why investors now don't dare to invest in new projects anymore, they understand the market is not as rosy as they imagined.

many traders and novice investors are trapped in coin investments that are not too profitable so many of them are losing, when they first invest they think they can get a lot of profit but when it is running in the middle phase it will begin to see various problems begin to emerge that will interfere with what you invest.

Investors will definitely be back, but not for ico this year, giving up seeing ico success that can only be counted on the fingers.

many interesting things outside of crypto at this time, including the movement of gold at the end of the year and also other potential stocks. for crypto, I only follow ieo on competent exchanges, avoiding exchanges like p2pb2b.
next year 2020 seems to be very interesting for us to look forward to how the project develops, maybe ICO / STOs will no longer be launched, and IEO will be more and more, or maybe there will be a new program again, we'll just wait
I think this way, investors do not really go, they keep monitoring and see whether ICO will rise or not, and it seems that in 2020 it will be a resurrection point for all and hopefully it will really happen and investors will re-invest in several new and promising project.

Yes next year 2020 looks very promising. Ethereum tokens with real utility will have a greater scene in the crypto world. Of course all the projects that have no real value would probably just fade in time.
what do you mean about utility and what is it? I don't see any statement that already mentioned if ethereum will get another utility usage. if you know about what utility that will be brought by ethereum and it's better for you to give me at least a simple explanation about that.

We still have investors but majority of investors are now picky in the type of project to invest in due to failure of several projects which has led to lost of investors assets over the years,  the fluctuation in prices of many crypto currencies and fall in prices of major ccurrenies such as BTC,  ETH and so on have made investors doubt the development of crypto as a whole, also the fear of scam project is a major issue affecting the interest of crypto investors around the world,  though not withstanding,  many investors still invest in promising projects with special features that protects the interests of both project owners and investors.

This must be the possible reason as to why investors decrease investing in crypto, as we all know of what happens of many projects was a scam. Many has been a victim of a scam and lose money because some project did not reach their goal to collect funds from investors. But I believe once the bear market ends, many will invest again in crypto.

And for sure we are all aware of the reason, it is because of the fact that there's a lot of scammers which lead investors to get tired of investing as there's no almost ROi with what they are investing at, almost all ICO's/IEO's dumped after listing and not recovering for a year, and that you can see the founder has no more care and effort with the price anymore.

In this current time, i think there are not much people still invest in cryptocurrency because the market keep downtrend for long time and this make lots of people lost their profit. From begining of September, all coins keep crash and of course there are some small bull back, but it's mostly impossible to get profit in that time. I saw lots of people change from trading crypto to gold, forex or stock in these time, but i'm surely that people will comeback when the market show positive in price.

maybe all the contents of the head of the investor are the same as you said which invests in new projects also decreased. but some new projects do get market support, although not too strong. but the question is whether when the market improves it will also affect investor confidence in new projects? or growth will only occur in the crypto market, not for the development of new projects?

Some people say if 2020, is the beginning of the increase in price of BTC Because, in some analyzes if there are some price charts that show the potential for price increase of BTC, such as the Bitcoin chart in the form of a large bull flag, and some people think that BTC has a high possibility to break up to the top. If this bull flag penetrates even higher prices, there is a high probability that BTC can enter the $10,000 price range and of course this can provide an advantage for traders who buy and save bitcoin at cheap prices right now.

Indeed, now we do not see an influx of invaders in crypto projects, but this is due to several factors. Firstly, the market itself is now down and many are just waiting for a good window to enter, on the other hand, there are a lot of crypto projects now and there are not so many investors on all of them. What concerns other better areas for investing. Of course they are, and those who have a lot of money are already there. Cryptocurrency itself, as an asset for investing due to great volatility, is a high-risk one. But this causes both distrust and interest in quickly earning money from it. I believe that starting in 2020, we should see a greater interest in investing in Ripcurrencies, all of which will be displayed in the form of positive news in the media.

investors are only definitively interested in something that is profitable.

after they know that many ico do not provide any benefit even in the long run, they will tend to be quiet and choose other options, especially because there are many good choices such as staking and futures, if the ico condition is no longer the same or even replaced by other models, it does not need to wait for the impossible.

They no longer invest because of hype, because of what anyone says  but rather a majority of them invest in what they believe in. Also, a majority of them now invest in IEO on top exchanges from where they cash out to bitcoin etc especially when they don't trust the project 100%. Actually the nature of the crypto space now needs one to be wise else all these unworthy projects will make away with their funds. I can partly say that, in that 2017 we have greater percentage of project developers that are faithful to some extent and they are ready to develop their projects. Investors put in their assets and they get good return.  However, as time goes on, we began to experience the advent of numerous scammers with ultimate aim of defrauding investors.  It was this unpalatable experience that actually discouraged if not 90% of investors now. There are numerous places to invest besides cryptocurrencies.
If we unanimously discouraged these fake projects and stop promoting them, probably the investors will start regaining their trust back in crypto.

This year is still a very good year for people to choose to invest because the current market is more stable and the demand for investment this year is tending to increase so this is a very good time to make a profit. I think good coins in the top 10 CMC are a safe choice for you or you can join some IEO projects at major exchanges. By all means must earn a profit this year because this is the year predicted to be the most developed year of crypto.

It's safer to investment from top 5 cryptocurrency they have great potential unlike the new coins. There would be a possibility that it will take a long time to be recognized by the investors. Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, LTC and ADA with be a great choose if they want. Investors are just be careful in choosing what they want to invest and safer move. ICO/IEO is not good nowadays, many of them are just scams. We admit that investors are not as many as it has back in 2018, but it will be as good as it is if a lot of good news and adoption will be emerged in the next couple of months.

If only scam projects are able to filter/detect, or those scammers get apprehended I still think that there would be more investors are willing to invest specially the cryptocurrency is now being globally adapted.

There are still investors but investment has taken a new direction. Projects have to mean what they say, be responsible for it and make it happen at least to some stage before investors will be interested. There is no more rroom for prototype invesment with ordinary paper review.

Yes, there are still investors but they are being selective to the project that they will invest. To be safe from getting scam. Crypto has been adopted by many and people are investing in it to earn profit.

Is there a perfect time that we can say that crypto prices are stable? I don't think so, as long as you know when to buy and sell then you are good.

When investors have more money they tend to look where to put it on, I think they are still keeping an eye for cryptocurrency but this time wiser and making sure they are on the right project.

Thinking its stable is based on individual's judgement, but the nature of the market is volatile and its very unpredictable, so making a good decision is very challeging.

When we say investors, there's many of them but we cant deny the fact that many of the many would also loss their money investing, therefore its too risky as there are winners and losers in this venture.

Sincerely those investors learnt a lot and have changed for better; they are still here in the crypto space but have become better hence going for projects which is worth their time and money. No one is really happy investing in projects which will either not list or list on time from which they exit scam etc thus investors losing their money, therefore with the Introduction of IEO they see it as a better alternative but even yet going for IEO on major exchanges where they won't lose their funds, where after IEO trading will kickoff and they can sell or buy more as they desire. So the conclusion is, they are still here but are now serious with how they invest

Especially if you invest large amounts of money in cryptocurrencies. I think it is best to buy cryptocurrency in many stages and several years.

as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?
For scam projects investor lose their investment then they accept their lose and out of cryptocurrency. Some investor were stock investors and real state investor. With this all legit members we should gathering trust in cryptocurrency. Scam and legit projects couldn't successed in 2 years now only legit project can success which means still investors exists in crypto.
