I have not had a problem with HITBTC in 2 years.
it's better to change the password to secure your account

Not sure if we should point our fingers immediately on HitBTC, but this could well be a problem on your side. What security measures did you take on HitBTC? Did you at least enabled 2FA?

With that said, while I'm not saying HitBTC is a scam because I don't think I've used that exchange in the past, HitBTC sure is definitely very shady for the bad publicity it's getting.

I have a hitbtc account but haven't opened it in a long time, during using hitbtc I have never had a problem, It looks like your account was hacked, maybe you've entered a phishing site, did you activate 2fa authentication,? You must be alert for suspicious activity.

This problem has happened a lot and it seems your account has been hacked before. So the transaction happened automatically and I think your computer was infected with Trojan virus or your account was stolen by someone.
It is better to create a new account and reinstall the window to avoid the old viruses running again.

Wahh ... it's certain that your account has been hacked, try checking your login log history, there must be many IP addresses that you don't recognize.
create a new account or activate 2fa to be safe.
Better, I suggest not trading on hitbtc because there are already many indications of fraud. check the sub forum thread accusations or reputation you will find many accusations about hitbtc, beware.

While I'm not the biggest HitBTC fan and I can't even use the exchange anymore since I'm in the USA, I don't think this one was their fault. It looks to me like your account got hacked. Were the coins that were in your account withdrawn to a BTC address in the end? Have you accessed your account from a pc? If so, you may want to check it for any sort of malware that may have gotten access to your account. Or, you could have possibly fallen for a phishing attempt. I would enable 2fa as soon as possible and change all of your passwords to start.

There is more chances that your account has hacked. In most of the cases once the account is being hacked, it is hard for the owner to access it, as the private keys will be changed to take the account into the hackers control. Myself had encountered similar issue with localbitcoins and the entire mistake was mine. Here you could get support from the hitbtc team, because it looks like you've used the hitbtc application. At present it in the beta version, this too can be a problem from the development side causing the wallet get emptied.

It's inappropriate to blame Hitbtc for that issue and I best to investigate on what actually happen since in the  first glance your account has been hack and best to track those possibly entry nor check your email since possibly  there are other more compromised. And be careful always on clicking any external links and be vigilant on what site you are typing on since there are so many phising sites which is splattering in this space.

Please explain it clearer. When you say it was converted to XRP then BOX then EOS, you mean it happened without you taking that action?

The problem may be from:
   1. Your HitBTC account directly
   2. 3rd party app you used to trade
   3. HitBTC API,  if you are not using the updated version (v 2.0)

I'm afraid you could get back your assets, but start on checking all the histories on HitBTC directly not on tabtrader app.

So far, I have not experienced such unexplained movements and trades of my coins in HitBTC. I have an account there because many coins that found it difficult to get listed on exchanges were mostly accepted by the platform. They must have a low listing fee as well as low qualification for listing.

I have heard many stories and complaints against HitBTC. But it looks like what is happening to your account is not due to HitBTC. The exchange site may hold and freeze your account or coins or deposits and withdrawals, suddenly asks KYC from you, and so on but not trade your coins. That is probably done by a hacker.

Sorry for your loss but based on my experience I find hitbtc a good exchange although it's not my primary exchange.
I've been using the site for years and I never face a single serious problem with them, my account is not fully verified but I secured my account with 2FA to make it safer. If its on the site's issue, you can make a scam accusation but if its on your own negligence, there's nothing you can do about it anymore.

Did you expose your API key somewhere? It looks like an API abuse to me, at least if you don't get any log in notifications or something like that.

If a hacker got your API key and use it to trade, then it's the same as losing your money. Better disable the API first and try to find out how and when he got your account. This method is really dangerous and not even Binance could protect you.

Have you received an incoming email with a different IP from HITBTC, as far as I know you will get login information, if something is strange and different, it means that your account has been compromised. You should change your password and activate 2FA.

I agree with this, there are many cases of traders using free bot applications to trade and use APIs, so I think it can happen, so far I am safe on hitbtc because I trade manually

Most likely this one.

To the OP, don't like to sound rude here, but I guess your money is gone and it could partly blame yourself here. Not defending HitBTC because it's a shitty exchange, but it seems your account has been compromised already. Start a new slate, but this time be very careful specially if you are traveling and using your smart phone and using public and free WIFI out there.

We understand how you feel and we know how hard for it to check that your balance is empty, but please do understand, that there is nothing we can do here, so better to ask support from the team, if the support team didn't response to your concern and doesn't provide you any proof with what happened to your account, then maybe it was hacked or due to some reasons, so better to check it with their support first before ranting here.

You account got hacked men thats why there are history before your balance disappear. You should change your password as soon as possible to secure your account. Don't blame the exchange cause it's not their fault why you are now facing this kind of problem.  In fact they don't have issues like yours based on simple research. And you know moslty exchange nowadays has 2FA, wherein maybe you didn't enable it before putting you money.  because that's is the most important to prevent hacking.

Most probably your account was hacked that if you did not able to enable the 2FA security then your Ripple will be stolen instantly. HitBTC is one of the most reliable exchanges that even it has the highest service fees but it can be trusted if you are vigilant with your accounts.

Obviously done by hacker. HitBTC will not waste time and put in line there reputation just to compromised your account? Does your account has a 2FA or mobile verification security?
This kind of thing happened to me on CEX. The hacker trade my assets until it get zero. He do that after he failed on withdrawing my funds. This kind of hacker is cancer of this community.

As I analyze the scenario, I think there was a big lapse that have overlooked on your end. Hacker was possibly taking dominance with your security which was totally breached. On my experience with hitbtc last year, I never had a problems like this which had issues about funds lost. I got some pending withdrawal also that took one day, which isn't confirmed but eventually their exchange administration fixed the problem and was returned to my btc wallet balance.
I suggest that you should raise these concerns to hitbtc support and inquire about your problem. To make this issue clears on your end contract the telegram group of hitbtc here:  t.me/@EN_HitBTC

Many problems occur frequently on HitBtc I also feel the same but at that time my assets on HitBtc were unprofitable, often received notifications from e-mail messages containing IPs from various countries that entered my account, from there I knew that the Hitbtc exchange was indeed vulnerable happened, so be careful.
And I think the OP balance has been lost because it has been hacked.

Agree with other replied since you are not the one who's dealing with this actions, there's a big possibilities that your account is being compromised, there's someone who's executing your account and do the trade or there's also possibilities that there's glitch over the exchange. You can try reaching the support and ask for some explanations so you'll be able to act accordingly and avoid further damages to your account.

Yes, this might be it.
Mine is also hacked somehow.

Still, HitBtc is sending me e-mails that I have logged in to a certain country.
It is like everyday the hacker is trying to look at my left account if I have deposited some coin or whatever.
Since I do not care anymore, I didn't open it again because of lack of security also. I didn't have 2fa enabled and other stuffs for security.
So I just let it be for 1 year. And now, it looks like the hacker got bored since he cannot steal anything.  ;D

Been using Hitbtc for a few times since years ago, everything's fine on my end. As everyone said, most likely your account was hacked. You just don't know it, yet. Have you ever clicked any suspicious links or anything? Well, I sometimes got an email login attempts from hitbtc and the location was from outside of my country, eventho I didn't login to my account. But I doubt that hitbtc itself was the one using your account to spend it on some alts.

It might have been automated emails sent to users on a massive scale. It happens quite frequently that a database with emails gets hacked from a site where people are being sent emails continuously.

If only a few users fall for these mails and enter their log-in details, the hackers can access their real account and empty it if there are funds to be stolen. It's sad that it still happens, but not everyone is aware of these traps unfortunately.

Change your password and enable 2fa as soon as possible. You may be able to save some of whatever funds are left if you hurry up and get the guy locked out of your account. More than likely, it was somewhere else that got hacked and he got your password from that database leak. I really don't think you can blame HitBTC for this one.

Most provably the fault is your own. Because without accessing your account nobody can do such type of trade on any account. So may be someone is accessing your account and did this job.

Yes, it is right that Hitbtc has many issues that people does not like. Even people are calling Shitbtc Instead of Hitbtc. Personally I don't  like the higher withdrawal fee issue. But honestly I did not face any security problem previously.

I do not experienced any problems in hitbtc since I use it in some of my coins that are listed there, I would likely to give an idea to the OP that he needs to strenghten his security if the problem is in his account if somehow hacks it, or if he wants to transfer some funds better to make it little amount first to try if it is really safe to send fund if proven then send a little amount again and so on and so forth so that you will avoid some transactions that are not being deposited succesfully.

This is what im trying to say first even though HitBTC do have somewhat a shady history and issues but pointing out directly that they are scam because you
lost your coins into your account doesn't sound ethical. If this one haven't activated 2fa security then its a piece of cake for hackers to slam out the doors
and took all of your funds once they do know your log-in details. Most of the time these kind of cases are human errors.

I have been using the Hitbtc exchange for almost a year and there aren't any obstacles.
There are two possibilities.Your account was hacked or you accidentally opened a phishing site so that your computer data as quickly as possible is known by hackers. All your balances will certainly go to the hacker's wallet. I think Hitbtc will not be responsible for this problem..I suggest creating another account after you clean the virus on the computer, don't forget to enable 2FA security.

Regardless, there's always a trail, if that's hack and OP can still access the account, he can certainly check the transaction history if there is a withdrawal, if none, there's something happening here that involve the exchange itself.

it's possible your account was hacked ...!
I have not had a problem with HITBTC in 2 years.
it's better to change the password to secure your account
I have the same idea since the XRP has converted into another coins and then becomes emptied. I’ve been using this exchange since then and I didn’t experience any problem so maybe hackers are using this account and you got scammed. Protection is the key, you must use every single protection features of every exchange to prevent situation like this.

In your case OP look like you have a same problem with me thats a reason your balance empty its better to stay away from this kind of exchange site, now try to make a support on Hitbtc then tell your experienced.

Did you already complain with their customer services?
You should not post it here because you can post a scam accusation under the right thread,  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0)

Anyway, I am using HITBTC before because it is a good exchange but I left that due to the huge amount of withdrawal fees and it is hard to log in my account.

Thanks for the info OP, hope that everyone will be aware of this.

It's either someone hacked your account or the exchange itself hitbtc did that. Have you installed 2fa? It's for security purposes especially in trading. If you did not do the trading rransactions, they probably hacked your account. Contact the support and see what will be there response about this.

I don't think HitBTC would steal your coins in this way. If there are certain incidents wherein HitBTC is accused of stealing coins or not allowing users to have access to their accounts, it would not be in this manner in which it looks like someone is really controlling the account as a trader.

Create a support ticket and explain to them everything that has happened with complete details. They will probably give you some explanation.

I think there's nothing the OP can do up to this point.

Although I will gave you their official ANN thread: HitBTC.com - The most advanced cryptocurrency exchange (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=378827.0).

And to quote:

I so much detest this exchange,  their customer service is nothing to write home about,  I misplaced my cellphone around May this year and I discovered that my account details with Hibtc has been compromised,  they didn't respond on time,  I just had to forget about having an account with them,

Dear user,  what was your support ticket number? We'll gladly look into that.

We take the security of our customers very seriously and provide a number of security tools to help you protect your account, such as 2FA, email confirmation, etc.  Here's an article to help you minimize such risks in the future: https://support.hitbtc.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005044629-How-to-protect-your-account-from-intruders

Anyways, maybe you can try and see how your account got exploited and learn from it.

My fault is I don't check my email, that says someone has access on my Account.

Do you got me?
Yes, I got it, what I thought was right. Someone really used your account, using your account he bought High (likely the sell order with his own account) and sold low (likely the buy order with his own account).

I'm planning to transfer my funds on Binance. Did Binance requires users to undergo KYC?
There's a 2 BTC Withdrawal Limit per 24h for a non KYC users on Binance. Read this Security Tips (https://www.binance.com/en/support/articles/360000106932) if you'll use it.

oh, that is the problem, you did not check your email, in every transaction you will see the progress (incoming transaction as well as the outcoming transaction) , better to put 2FA (using authenticator or text message) also change your password on the email that you are using put also a 2FA on it, so that there will be no more options that will be given to the hacker to access your account, in this way the next time you make transaction you will get benefit and control of your trade, not the one who hacks it.

Yes, I already do all that. The problem is the hacker has method of accessing my account on HITbtc but he/she can't withdraw the funds because it needs email verification that's the thing that I prove that he/she don't get access on my email. So he/she just dump all my funds. What a cancer in crypto

The last time I had this issue with an exchange was like 4 years ago when I suddenly realized that my balance was swapped to another token and I didn’t know what was actually wring, I laid complain to the exchange which they denied that it was not from them and probably that my account has been hacked, I could not take that for an excuse anyway, because if my account was hacked and the person converted it to another coin, they would have moved it but they didn’t.

What I did was to convert that money back to bitcoin, which made me loose so much and I suspected that this could actually be from the exchange. The mistake you made was to use this exchange because this exchange act similar to the same way that Yobit act too, and I would not trust any of them to handle any of my trade except the top 10 exchanges.

I already heard something like this before in my friends account , since the balance cant widraw by the hacker they just continue selling the coins until there is no more value of that coins he stored . I think its better for you to create a new account than continue using it.  Do you remember where did you sign up your username and password i just feel that will be a way   thats why the hacker has access to your hitbtc account.

Sadly to hear that story from your friend.
It is impossible for us to recover our account if it is already in the hand of hacker. The only thing we can do is to report our account to the exchange. And if we recover our funds, withdraw them as fast as it could be. Another thing, be observant on our account and sites we entered so that we can avoid phishing sites that may harm our account.
