Title: When the market goes down remember this...
Post by: BitcoinYu on November 22, 2019, 10:22:07 AM
The last week has been a little bloody... And yet, after all we've been through, I have grown numb to this feeling. Stress, sleepless nights, etc... these are all a thing of the past. In fact, I just had a delicious breakfast with my girlfriend.

For those of you that are scared of the current situation, awaiting for a sell-off, its best to remember the long-term benefits that Bitcoin and crypto bring to the table.

I recently wrote an article outlining the most important ones. Instead of getting sweaty palms thinking of the next 24-hours, use your time wiser and educate yourself by reading my post: https://paybis.com/blog/benefits-of-cryptocurrency/ (https://paybis.com/blog/benefits-of-cryptocurrency/)

Hold onto your BTC, we are the future millionnaire generation.

This is the reason why many newbies lose money and hope on bitcoin. They are aware that bitcoin is indeed very versatile but everytime versatility attacks they panic and sell fast without thinking of what good thing is awaiting them in the long term run of bitcoin.
Weak hands = bankcrupt.

Next bottom has to be below $3k, that's what you need to remember.

I don't think that the next bottom will be below $3k. It's possible for its price to drop below $7k up to $6k. It will take more than enough circumstances like if a certain country release some news contradicts the greatness of usage of bitcoin then its price will really fall.

lol .. it looks like you're frustrated with the current bloody market situation, and this is very unlikely if you say bitcoin will go down with prices below 3k in my opinion now bitcoin will only go down to touch 6k or mid 5k more than that i'm not too sure.

and for me now the only way is to hold my bitcoin for a while until the market returns to normal.

What can we expect? they are lack of knowledge and they still need some guidance particularly on making decision whether to sell or hold their bitcoins, we've been there too and it's the worst knowing that you just lose the opportunity on earning a bigger profit. They just make some decision without even thinking about the possible result of it and that is the reason why they are always ended up feeling remorse about their actions and decisions. We have to realized that sometimes it is not only about the knowledge to be successful, you also need to be patient in order to achieve your goals because you can't expect that everything will be on your side.

This is usually a routine phenomena of Bitcoin Market. Everytime BTC goes down people get worried about their life savings invested in this currency while everytime it goes up people start to think that this is start of another bull run. I think as of now we should be confident enough with potential of bitcoin many times it has risen back from rock bottom to shine again. Last time we saw btc going to 3500 and then coming all the way up to 10k. I think most of the times we lose money when we try to sell when price is falling and buy it on later because it's pretty hard to predict the market with bare eyes like this unless you are a good trader.

Its somehow a mind-setting that bitcoin is a long term investment. If you are trading or buying bitcoin it is best to buy it on its downfall. Every downfall is an opportunity to buy. And the waiting to sell is unpredictable that's why its a long term investment. There are ways to earn bitcoin while waiting for the right price ot during downfall. So might as well grab every opportunity to earn it.

In less than 24 hours bitcoin has decreased by $ 1,000 in this situation, we must be swift in choosing coins or at least it is safe your assets on stable coins or your real money.
Honestly, traders see that a red market like this will leave and go with their entertainment so they don't get emotional when trading.

Stressing out ourselves during this market situation could just ruin our trading journey. If we are losing our hopes for it, we have to look back at the history chart of our holdings and see how it has gone so far. Cryptocurrency is volatile so we have to deal with the changes that we might encounter here. Instead of worrying, let's just have more patience and just wait for the best time to trade.

that is true , keep in mind that bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency is a high risk investment.

if you can not afford to lose , you are not belong here. put the money that you can really forget in case something bad happened , a situation like this for instance , people have to get used to this crypto currency market where the volatile is always high.
don't blame anything but look at yourself , you are not ready when you are now crying over the bloody market crash .
be cool and think with a clear mind how you can take an advantage out of this.

last month people are so overconfident and now all of them suddenly talking about the next bottom , the dip , the crash etc. what an immature community haha

That's harmful generalisation, I see quite significant amount of reasonable people here. Of course those who are not, are shouting the loudest, maybe this is why you have this impression? Silent majority is still doing the usual, following their own goals and business, no panic, no desperation  and some even take enormous pleasure from just standing aside and looking how others rage... :)
One of the finest community have risen here, but that's just my opinion. Look around you, places like this are basically gone due to facebook etc. At least consider having a bit better opinion about it, it could be a whole lot worse.

The blog speaks in a very general sense, the specific article is almost like a knowledge guide, but at the level of market and investment speculation the reality is very different.

In market speculation, the market when it falls is ideal to buy, because it is in a phase of beginning of bullish trend, in general it is what can be read from the graph according to Wyckoff, now represents a unique opportunity. In investment this is a very good opportunity, because if you buy a lot of Bitcoins, what would remain would be to wait for a not-so-long period of time, specifically around 1 year the bitcoin can reach a good price, even after spending its last ATH it can generate profits juicy

I think that right now, the market should be seen as a great business opportunity and take advantage of trading in general.

I keep seeing people pushing stable coins.

There is absolutely no point to holding stable coins. If you want dollars, HOLD DOLLARS, not some pretendy stable coin that claims it is linked to dollars.

If you want cryptocurrency, hold bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

Unfortunately emotions are one of the hardest things that a human can master. Many of traders know technical analysis & maybe know risk management, but very few of them can actually make the link between the two and become successful and consistent traders. Don't forget that the volatility spikes are normal for the crypto market and you should expect these rather violent drops or surges quite often.

I'd rather choose to panic sell, though I couldn't consider it as panic at all, I hodle my crypto especially bitcoin for a long time, and I see it is the right time to sell now, many say "buy low sell high", and applying that principle will not make me regret my decision. Though I am quite sad thinking of hodling bitcoin, I reflect and think deeply about waiting for the dip and buying again. In the future, I can say, I utilize the best decision in the market rather than sticking and believing in hodling without doing anything about the situation.

But people's thoughts are always the opposite, and so am I, when BTC experiences a dump like now it will all be carried away by fomo to participate in selling for fear. I think it is natural to avoid more losses, but they also experience confusion about how long they hold back their fiat to buy again, sometimes they are late and return losses.

Well I guess most members of the crypto-community are getting more and more accustomed to this scenario that most of us feel its quite normal  and we don't have to panic or sow fear to anyone!

Perhaps most of us have seen BTC went down to less than 4k each and that could be described as its worst price crash after the 2017 bullrun yet it has since rebounded to suitable levels. Now I therefore think it hasn't decreased the  people's enthusiasm to it! :)

This is the norms that we experience in daily occurrence, so we need not to take it seriously. I would suggest to control your emotions in order to survive just to face the problems that we're about to face. Every now and then changes will happen and surprise us, and will about to give us more surprising event which we didn't expect.

Bitcoin has zero intrinsic value, it was a great bubble to get rich while it lasted, but those days are OVER.   The bitcoin bubble is popping, and instead of bitcoin 10,000 you all can wait for bitcoin 1,000.  You can ignore reality, but you can not ignore the consequences of ignoring reality  🤣🤣🤣🤣

That would be matter of faith and what exactly most did today. Holding could be the best option and I would like to challenge everyone to do the same. But of course, it is not our loss if they sell their coins right now, that's their choice if we still have money to risk, then don't bother to buy.

It may be you're right, the one holds today will become a millionaire in the future. May it work for me as I hold mine.

That would be probably your thoughts and we have always the right to decision on what we will do in our coins either we will hold it until the coins or the bitcoins that we are holding becomes boom or we will just sell it although the market was very down and bitcoin was on the red situation or very dump. We have the right to decision on what we will do on those kind of situations, but right now In my own perception, I will just stick first at holding bitcoin and buying bitcoin right now especially the bitcoin was very low, because I am still believing on the saying that "buy low, sell high".

For me, choosing the proper timing in holding your coin is the best thing we could ever do, how could this be implemented? It is simple. If we are to buy bitcoin and hold it forever, it will be profitable that is correct, but if we choose to be efficient, we can buy bitcoin at the lowest price and sell it at the higher market price. What is the difference between holding? The concept of trading is to buy low and sell high, why don't we apply this in bitcoin but in a longer period of time.

Well you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but I guess you cannot persuade most Bitcoin enthusiasts including me on our resolve to support Bitcoin with incredible fervor no matter what happens and that I think no amount of negative publicity could change that!

However, lets assume you have been correct along the way, then so be it! We can only blame ourselves for our decisions and most of us are well aware of the risks were taking and we cannot deny that since there is simply no point on being arrogant on introducing once's ideas that are contrary to what other people believes in.

Btw, I understand your animosity towards Bitcoin that I assume you are supporting another cryptocurrency! And If I'm correct, we would gladly appreciate if  you could share us anything about it or if you have any crypto you could recommend to us and that maybe you could save us altogether from crypto disaster.  :)

I think these newbies should go back to the basic, and the basic are these newbies do not know how volatile the market is and you need to see the graph and the many dramas in the past about Bitcoin going up and going down, bitcoin did not start at thousands of dollars it started as little as 10 cents, we've been here so many times in the past, I guess there are still people, who pour everything without believing in what they are investing.

Next bottom has to be below $3k, that's what you need to remember.
And where did this came from?
Any particular reason or explanation on this speculation.
I know that BTC and crypto is bleeding more often this past few months but is it enough to be back below $3K again?

It was the bottom back then, he must have believe it can drop that low again. Nobody knows, maybe. This is crypto if everyone sells, it could drop below that price. Who else doesn't sell when there is a chance to buy low at very low price tomorrow will miss the most of the opportunity. The chart may say its oversold but it can get very-oversold too.

The downfall of bitcoin is scary right now, so for us to sleep safely and without fear we can sell our bitcoins and wait for them to fall deeper and there we will have the opportunity to buy back. Please note that this event can only be withdrawn by bitcoin and jump for a higher price. And if we can't overcome the fear it brings, we better not invest and return to the real world.

I don't think also it will be below 3k, now that we're having bloodbath for no reason or news integrated then there is no possibility that it will fall into 3k,well I hope it won't fall to such amount since many might go with these fomo instead of taking advantage of price drop they might left because of fear in too much volatility.

Almost everyone who are active in the market for a long time have experienced these kind of situations in the past and hence these are nothing new to get worried and starts panicking.

For those of you that are scared of the current situation, awaiting for a sell-off, its best to remember the long-term benefits that Bitcoin and crypto bring to the table.
There is nothing to be scared now, if you are able to see the downward rally then you could have shorted the market and wait for the market to settle and then plan on entering but right now there is no point in selling after the market went down altogether.

Best thing to remember when price is moving is that the graph or the trades show the price for today, its not the price forever just right this moment the players at the table have decided this is the correct price between.
Its a requirement that always there is a tradable price so there is liquidity and availability of funds.     It doesnt mean the price is correct for another time over months or years or the very large transactions only that order books today reflect this price.  Its hard to explain but there is multiple time frames within a price that mean the shortest time line is the quickest to move but also the most inaccurate as to the worth of a Bitcoin over time.

Quote
Do not worry, bitcoin will go much lower than 4,000
Price can spike down and do many things, it recently was spiking upwards.  It does not mean we stay in that area just that price needs to visit that area, check all sellers appear and all buyers appear and then it moves to elsewhere.   Its a normal event and BTC has seen it before, just a year ago it was very gloomy and then it switches.

Cryto market is very new to all of us and we need to understand its behavior. Unlike other financial markets we do not get much margin in crypto market as it is highly volatile market. Normal market runs and there is litlle correction then trend continues, situation gets a bit different when there is trend change but things are entirely different in crypto market, trend change in this market may sometime be from $20000/ BTC to $3000/BTC. We need to understand its volatile nature. I believe crypto market is not going to vanish it will remain here,we just need to be patient, fortune shall follow us.

This reminds me of one of my online buddy's story where he had once accumulated more or less 1,100 Bitcoins which he'd bought at more or less $20 dollars each in its early days but unfortunately, he'd decided to sell it all when its price reached at more than $50 dollar range which at that time was its ATH and at the same time thinking that BTC's price would never go much higher! I guess he thought that the profit he had taken was good enough for him that he didn't decided to re-accumulate more Bitcoins again just like he'd previously owned but instead opted to have just a few Bitcoins to his portfolio.

Now, over the span of several years, he'd realized that he'd made a wrong decision selling all his Bitcoins especially when its price rocketed to $20k level at the height of the 2017 bull run!

Although he had regrets about that incident, it drastically converted him to become a long term crypto hodler that he didn't bother to sell all of his crypto assets even at the height of 2017 bullrun! I guess he had learned his lessons well. :)

Very reasonable, I am following the path you are referring to. I lost all my assets last month and I am now becoming a bounty hunter. Every day I work like normal people, I spend time with my girlfriend and my family. In my free time, I attend events in forums to earn more Bitcoin. I am satisfied with the present, I can sleep well, I am no longer stressed, insomnia. If time goes back I wouldn't be foolish to be a trader, I would collect more bitcoins and keep them until I am satisfied and sell them. Trading bitcoin is completely risky and not good for health.

A few of people within my circle has been under stress and complaining bitterly about the price drop in Bitcoin. I have been telling them to claim down and seize the opportunity but they won't listen.
Though they are traders and I can understand why they are like that, I guess its because they bought when the price is high. But hey, everyday can't be merry, this is one of those days that need investors need to start hodling till price difference.

Yes, completely agree that dealing with the BTC or some other crypto it is better to keep your thoughts and feelings cold, because it may prevent you from silly mistakes or losses. But it becomes clear after some periods like that you told in your post. And for the newbie that knows nothing at all these words would mean nothing, he or she will panic, and be too nervious... It is not so easy to control emotions. It comes with some experience and not earlier.

That's what I've been doing. I know. I'm used to it. I don't worry or stress myself out because of how bitcoin is doing in the market. I know it was normal for bitcoin to drop or increase overnight but I was like that before. I always got worried when the price isn't doing well but now, I just look into the positive side of bitcoin. How it can help me in the future. I just–we just have to be patient.

I don't worry or scare to see the market goes down because I believe that is temporary and it's normal to see that is happening. We cannot expect to see bitcoin price or altcoin price at the high price every time, but there will be a time for bitcoin and altcoin to go down, and that is what we see now. We need to be patient, hold your bitcoin while you will see bitcoin will be back to the high price. This is our chance to buy bitcoin and if you have money, don't miss this discount time because it will hard to see this price in the future.

It takes a true believer and a great investor to understand the bitcoin market. This is not the first time the market value of Bitcoin has dropped and its not gonna be the last time. It might be really difficult not to panic when the price of Bitcoin drops like that. But i believe and think the value of Bitcoin will be hitting $10k very soon before 2019 comes to an end. Now is the time to buy more bitcoin if you are looking forward to make a big out of your bitcoin investment.

I don't think they don't know anything about crypto or haven't knowledge cause I believe that they take research at first before coming here and risk their money. We may could say that they are often to lose because of their trust and I find it not really strong as they looked into the situation by now.
Cause they only have in their mind is that Bitcoin price will continue moving high which it makes a different direction as what we expect before we end up this year. Frustration might bring them to sell their coins during hard times.

I can only be a millionaire with Bitcoin if its price is able to climb into at least 1 Million USD but since it can be taking so many years before that can happen, I prefer to just live on the present and enjoy the life I am having while holding on to some satoshis I have in my wallet. In the past, I would have been stressed a lot to see the red sea in the CMC especially with Bitcoin but not anymore because I have already learned to accept this digital currency as it is, fully of volatility and uncertainties. The only consolation at the back of my head is that this is just one of the normal phases of Bitcoin and since it happened in the past there are always many precedents we can analyze closely. Certainly, Bitcoin can be rising again in the coming weeks the only not sure is when. So I would just prefer to wait as what a real HODLER should be doing.

Having blind faith is not good either. What you need to do is to educate yourself and understand what Bitcoin is then you’ll came to know what are its characteristics that would drive its price higher than before. To believe in something that is driven not by emotions but by your rational thinking would be a lot less riskier and much stronger. Analyzing the situation and what drives the pumps and dumps would not make you afraid since being afraid then pulling out your assets in Bitcoin is for those who don’t understand what’s going on.

No matter how much this point is highlighted, many investors are not willing to accept that. To go up market has to go down first, there is no market in the world that only go up.

This day, bitcoin price back to go down and reach $7130 but it could get down for more, so we need to be careful. Maybe tomorrow the price will be down again, but we can hope in the next week, the price can go up again and start rallies to a higher rate. So this day will be a good time to buy bitcoin, or you can wait for tomorrow to see if the price will be down for more.

If you are an old user you responding this situation calmly. It means there is nothing to be worried, just calm down and keep hold your asset.

As you may know the movement price of cryptocurrencies are volatile. Seeing the movement now and you need a several times to see their price will change.

As an old user will make this situation as an advantage, buying and selling his asset is really promissing to get short term profit. So in this case, your article is suitable for those who haven't know this situation and I'll bet they are is newbie.

Dumps like these are quite normal, as well as inexplicable pumps that happened over the last months. If you are a day trader that got in on the $8K range, then you'll probably want to sell to further cut losses. But if you don't need the money right now, it is always advisable to hold, if you believe that Bitcoin would surely experience a reversal and a possible bull run. The technology is quite early and we still may experience improvements and therefore, surge of investors that would increase the positive pressure on the prices.

Personal experience is much more important.
When I first heard about bitcoin 6-7 years ago, I didn't take it seriously.
When I finally got involved and got my first bitcoins, instead of saving them, I wasted them on nonsense.
When the price of bitcoin grew very much, I realized my mistake and started over.
After that, the price of bitcoin repeatedly had a big rise and a big drop, but I never repeated my mistake.
I know from experience that when the market goes down, it's the best time to buy more bitcoin and to hold.
After every drop in value, there is always growth and so it has been for 10 years  ;D ;D

I really don't get it when people feel down when the market is down or is volatile. If Bitcoin were stable and slow, no one would be interested, plus it wouldn't make sense since demand is never slowly increasing in a stable manner. Even oil shows this same volatility and even was worse in the early days.

This is early days for crypto. Get over it guys:)

I don't care if it goes at that level since I'm a long term holder of Bitcoin although I'm using some of it to buy some of my monthly expenses and needs. I'm ready whatever happens to Bitcoin whether it goes down or goes up ;)

Well, that is what newbies need to do but unfortunately only few of them are doing it. Maybe some of them are just relying to what they know and they are not doing their own research about it.

We know that every market has ups and downs so this is just a normal move for Bitcoin. Bears are in control at this moment that is why we encountered a sudden price drop in Bitcoin.

that was the thought that I experienced when I first invested in bitcoin. after buying bitcoin, I saw prices fall. stress, fear, reduced capital. then I asked my friend, and suggested entering bitcointalk to find information about crypto. Yep, finally I have faith that this will return. proven in 2017, all pumps and give me many advantages. so today I stay relaxed seeing the bloody market, it doesn't matter. it is not a ruin, but an opportunity, an opportunity to buy back bitcoin at a low price. to make big profits in the future.

Indeed the biggest mistake investors who experience losses when investing in bitcoin is selling it too fast, not patient enough to
wait until the price goes up. Because like mentioned in the OP article that bitcoin has many advantages, so we must believe 100%
in the potential of bitcoin. If we already confident with the potential of bitcoin, want to go down how deep the price of bitcoin will
not be stressed and panicked. Because there is already confidence planted that one day the price of bitcoin will rise again. If the
investor's perspective and thinking is like that is very impossible will experience a loss when investing in bitcoin, because they
already understand when to sell bitcoin.

Same here, actually it is a great opportunity for long term holders like us, so even if the price of bitcoin suddenly drops to an expected price, then we can use that chance to invest and wait for more months to harvest our profit.

before we decide to invest in bitcoin then we should know about bitcoin and look for reliable information about bitcoin, so we will know and be ready with all the risks that might occur including when the market goes down

That is because the common thing that newbie does was to think about how they earn. They will first see if it is effective then they set aside learning and continue what they are doing.

Yes, this is just a normal scenario in the market for a decade, we don't get in here at the same time, but the history repeat itself, so we all have the same expectation when its price will go up and down.

As long as you are not selling, you are notnlsing anything. Do not let the current value let you sell for losses, the dip that recently occurred had happened a lot since bitcoin was created and yet when price recovers, it goes up significantly. Just hodl and never get emotional during this kind of situation and if you can, accumulate.

This is also the reason why newbies are doing panic selling, because of statements that doesn't have any evidence to back your story up. It is easy to spread FOMO maybe to make others go the same shoes like yours, still if you will said such things about the bitcoin's price again in the near future, better prepared some explanation and some technical analysis to make this statement a reality, we don't need trolls here.

While others are afraid that btc may go down deep more and while others are panicking and FOMO-ing, well, I don't. For I know for a fact that this bearish season will be followed by a huge pump soon. I've been there, done that. There are rumours that it will go hit again down to $3k, but this will be an opportunity to buy and to hold. Nothing to worry about and we don't have to rush things when it comes to profits.  ;D

That's a nice prediction but still its nit gonna happen and the value could go drop at $7k but not more than below $6.8k and i think it might recover soon and bounce back to $10k before the end of this coming december.

And right now the best way is to hodl and accumulate more bitcoin since its much really good for a long term investment and definitely earn a profit once it sky rocketed its value.

I don't need to remember cause I think it will never going to happen and even if the price gets back to 3k I still cannot afford to buy 1 bitcoin. ;D :D

Nothing to worry about and we don't have to rush things when it comes to profits.  ;D
You already have trust and seem to have good abilities too. I also think the same when the market goes down at a price that is far away there will be price reflection, but I can't be sure of the price. and if the price really touches $ 3k I will set aside some of my money to buy it

You should not HODL only... ::)

But instead take some of your portfolio and increase it with other coins such as alts if you are an investor.

If you intend on waiting for the big price jump well that might not actually happen or happen depending on the circunstancies the world gets into.
You should be always informative on alert for any situational improvement on the Cryptos prices but u shouldnt as well become too passive or too active.

Else you will end up losing big time.

Imagina that next halve doesnt increase the value and instead drops it even more hypothetically :D

If you really have an experience in this industry then you should not worry about these dump because you definitely know how the market move and how to deal with it. I have been in this industry for a long time and when I saw the market is in bear trend I knew what is the do's and dont's like panic selling. If FOMO have infiltrate your system this would be a problem.

Why do you guys have to react like it's the end of Bitcoin where in fact the recent dump wasn't that too long compared to the days where Bitcoin stay for over a month with the a price of 10k to 8k. Where are you from that time? Do you guys think that Bitcoin will eventually drop to almost zero because it just drop the price this week?

When the market goes down remember that this is a great moment to buy and hodl! Always remember that.

Whenever things are going out of control or being a mess, make sure you get a hold of yourself. Make sure you are the one in control and not your emotions. Your emotions can actually decieve you leading you on committing mistakes so always make sure you know how to handle stress well. Bitcoin usually end up being in confusing situations and that should be prepared of always by you as an investor. If the price is low, take advantage and start buying plenty and if its high, sell all that you can.

even we will face the next halving, this is great for collecting bitcoin as much as possible when the price drops. I still believe after the next halving the price can still rise higher, but after that I will retire from crypto.

Bitcoin has already made me profits and people easily forget the profit they have made. They forget that they have already used the same value worth of their tokens and broken even long ago but yet it feels like they losing everything since they forget about their gains. The gains in the future will outweigh the loses and if you are like me and have already profited much from bitcoin then you should not actually worry since you are already in the green. What were are talking about here is theoretic losses and wins of possible profit. Lose of profit and lose of actual value is very different. Lose of profit just means you get less. Something is better then nothing and if you continuously are getting something then it all adds up in the end. So be patient.

You're right because no one knows what could happen in the next coming and this might be the last market dump until we reach a new all-time-high so instead of having negative thoughts why not take this as an opportunity to buy Bitcoin while its cheap. Buy low - Hold - sell high, this is not new but I find it very profitable especially on Bitcoin.

Exactly, I meant bitcoin's price is always fluctuating so it's not a big deal that the price is dropping to 7k$ again. It's a matter of time that bitcoin will increase back again. We should just be patient and waiting the price to increase again, Also, there's some positive points of this drop of prices, so we can buy some bitcoin with a low price right now and just hold it.

Once the regular. Holders sell out their currencies instantly bail by years and private investors will try to capture the market by investing on that coin so always be careful while your investing on altcoins with your Bitcoins.
We have seen drastic fall in this week on Bitcoin so show me all my think investing on some other and coins for converting it to a cash will be e more effective to make money but think Bitcoin investment always for long term.
