well, it seems like France will also launch their own cryptocurrency next year. (https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/12/04/france-announces-digital-currency-venture-crypto-bulls-roar/) it's funny that just year ago they despise cryptocurrency(article about it (https://metro.co.uk/2018/01/15/france-declares-war-cryptocurrencies-bitcoin-ethereum-litecoin-ripple-tough-new-stance-lead-ban-7231339/?ito=cbshare)) and now they are launching their own cryptocurrency
and even teaching high school students about cryptocurrency(article about it (https://cointelegraph.com/news/french-high-school-students-will-learn-about-bitcoin-and-crypto)) and preparing them for it. how things have changed in just a year :D :D

@acroman08 if France can successfully launch it’s centralised crypto then they’ll be forced to admit that Bitcoins is money and they may even consider legalising it. Also I’m sure many central banks will be keenly watching France move regarding their Crypto, and it’ll only be a matter of time before they too consider launching it in their countries. However France crypto may be a epic failure too because in the end of the day it’s a centralised crypto, and not a decentralised one like bitcoin.

I'm sure there will be a day when a country or a major bank announces its own blockchain-backed cryptoasset. The blockchain as a technology is already so popular for database security that only time will tell =)

France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom are next to Malta which is essentially cryptocurrency island so I think we could see an "Euro Crypto" or something similar to it one day. I think it would actually reduce crime because everything asset and transaction is automatically tracked and accounted for. I am excited to see how our global economic system develops thanks to the invention of the blockchain.

everything can change, hopefully it can be good news for the development of crypto, and hopefully every country soon follows the French steps to create crypto for his country, maybe the next few years crypto will develop very rapidly.

If France launches their stable coin, then other Franco nations will be dragged along, this will make IMF to start preaching of cryptocurrency to the world. Instead for developing nations to encourage their citizens about cryptocurrency, they are busy with a dead fiat. UK may toll the same line, the question is when America?

they mean doing good policy, they hate it and then they research this technology. maybe there are some warriors there who give their knowledge about crypto and can convince the government there that finally has a good impact for now. so it's good we welcome it because we have another new place to use crypto

in the first article discusses about launching digital assets / money, and is not included in cryptocurrency. Just like the news about DCEP a few weeks ago. So what do they expect next? as a facilitator for crypto at a national bank? Such a drastic change in attitude makes me think that they actually really care about bitcoin.

It's not just France. There are a lot of countries who are planning the same! China, India and other BRICS  countries are also planning for it. But this doesn't change the economy for better because these are just a digital representation of the government controlled fiat currency. Earlier you used to have cash in your wallet and now you are going to carry it on your mobile wallet! That's it! Nothing drastically different!

The fact that they are launching a stable coin is good but I don't think this will lead to bitcoin being legalize there in France. They want people to use the coin that they'll be launching so if they were to legalize bitcoin which people there literally know better than any stable coin by any company or country people will just be using bitcoin alone, at least the majority of the population.

China already have started making their own crypto currency as they shutdown bitcoin in their country. So everything is possible nowadays because of the technology that can help cryptocurrency to develop itself.

Chinese Government can now control people for them to mine their own digital currency. As they control people, they can now totally control their economy.

I know there are other countries that are launching their own cryptocurrency that's why I used the word "also" but my main point is how the country's government view to cryptocurrency changed from hating it and almost banning it to creating their own cryptocurrency and even teaching the younger generation about it.

What is funny is how you people don't understand a thing about cryptos and what is a centralized coin!
That French official dispised decentralized cryptocurrencies, what France though the Bank of France is launching is totally centralized crypto that will work only for financial institutions.

@acroman08 if France can successfully launch it’s centralised crypto then they’ll be forced to admit that Bitcoins is money and they may even consider legalising it.

And why? Just because it's using a blockchain?
You realized that if that is the only reason they would have to consider howeycoins money too?

I don't think they consider it cryptocurrency, but rather a digital currency. It's unit might be different in their fiat, but the core value of it would still depend on it. According to the article, they 'decisively' make it different from a cryptocurrency. This means that blockchain might not be implemented, and as well as its transparency. It might still be run on centralized servers and is monitored by central banks.

Last month, it was reported that France to Include Bitcoin Literacy in High School Curriculum (https://www.coinspeaker.com/france-bitcoin-high-school/). So perhaps they've realized the crypto will be big in the future that's why they have tested the waters and decided to launch their own crypto. Maybe some hidden agenda like huge tax, or spy people around on how they're going to used state back up crypto. Anyways, we haven't seen any crypto being back up by government being successful, maybe it's too early or people doesn't want centralized coin. So let's see how they're going to manage it and see how French crypto enthusiast are going to react.

France is not the first or the last country to launch own cryptocurrency. Countries are experimenting with cryptocurrencies for a long time now to see what are their possibilities and opportunities. This will not bring any kind of revolution and I doubt that it will be successful but I don't think that matters. Like I said, it's about experimenting.

The same fiat, but instead of debit cards and saving accounts, users will have "wallet apps". "Digital-fiat".

Plus much are already transacted digitally without physical cash exchanging hands.

It will be a centralized ledger powered by "blockchain technology". ::)

in the past, many countries are against crypto some of them ban it and some make a regulation to stop Crypto
it just good that they try to stop it for them to learn that it is impossible to stop crypto
maybe they also realized that crypto is the new technology
if they can use it right crypto can also help their economy to rise.

This is a welcome in the right direction. Seeing one of the world famous country pick interest in cryptocurrency,  indicates the value of the project. Going from criticism to government acceptance. This will lead to more adoption, despite that full anornimity of transactions is not guaranteed.
This development will also encourage other countries who rely on the development strategy of France for their economy advancement to join the digital currency train.

There can always be a change in your heart with anyone. Maybe France has finally understood the essence of cryptocurrencies, but what I don't get is why make their own? They are currently going to test the currency until the end of the first quarter, according to the tweet of Rhythm Trader [1] (https://twitter.com/Rhythmtrader/status/1202301857617645569). If they become successful, they would be copied by multiple governments, and the start of the cryptocurrency revolution is happening. I hope they would let people understand the importance of Bitcoin in all of this. A lot could happen in the future, and we have to be ready.

Weve heard this time and time again. Such news are usually propagated more by BTC friendly news websites. I'd be very surprised if an EU state issued official statements regarding issuing ANY currency, let alone a cryptocurrency...

The EU stands for a commitment of countries to abolish their central banks in favor of a more centralized system. The EURO has been fairing well in terms of FIAT standards. I'm very doubtful that France, being the seond largest economy in EU, would break that commitment.

This news is indeed both a shock and excitement, especially to Cryptocurrency users. I think French's government really underwent through a thorough study and investigation on Cryptocurrency's advantages and disadvantages. It is a good thing they are very brave to experiment if Cryptocurrency will be effective. Though it is decentralized, and the first article mentioned that France will ban Bitcoin because it can be used to shift taxes and for money laundering activities.

And because of this adoption, French students are taught just as mentioned in the third article. I think this is very helpful since young generation are more critical thinkers and who knows, maybe one of them could lead to Cryptocurrency's success if ever, in the near future.

Overall, I hope that this would be the start of an open-minded community. However, the cons is that it might spark money related acts punishable by law. And that discipline might be hard to instill among people.

Absolutely. The adoption we are seeing right now is the start of what we are dreaming for our society. Blockchain technology is taking over almost in all of the industry from financial to medical which totally tell people how great it is.

It isn't surprising at all, when I saw the article about how did the Germany adopted the cryptocurrency offering the use of it as an investment to their citizen. I knew it was the beginning to the european country to fight their negative interest rates. I'm just curious how these said country, government will handle things like this especially it involves unprecedented problems.

That's a interesting development. France is part of the euro (which is a currency shared across 19 countries). If it is developing it's own digital currency on it's own, then we may be looking at them building the infrastructure for them to exit the euro and go back to the franc (or a digital franc).

this is one good development, a country adopts crypto independently. might have an impact on the territory of the country, and might also bring in new users. if it can really be realized there will be many good impacts, especially in the country, plus they also develop education in crypto technology

When you say it that way, it makes me feel like it's wrong to say that but it's not true. Isn't cryptocurrencies a digital currency? But what separates the crypto that France is planning to do from other cryptocurrencies is that it's going to be started by their central bank, the CBDC. However France crypto may be a epic failure too because in the end of the day it’s a centralised crypto, and not a decentralised one like bitcoin.

We must advocate this fact that anything that is not decentralized, distributed and censorship-free doesn't belong to the domain of cryptocurrency. XRP is also not a cryptocurrency since its centralized.
The only reason for launching such centralized cryptocurrency is to divert people's attention towards them and discourage use of real cryptocurrency.

As you can see, it is possible for a country who first dislike and disapprove on cryptocurrencies to change their minds and realize the need of cryptocurrency. Now that France, also other country who see crypto like this before but now trying to adopt it, it's also possible for other country. It's becoming more vivid that more countries will slowly accept bitcoin and other coins.

France become friendly country in Europe to adopt and receive bitcoin as legal currency, after adopting bitcoin as syllabus in their school now France try to launch their own cryptocurrency. After France success adopted and created their own cryptocurrency coin I think give chance for other country in Europe will adopt and receive bitcoin too as legal currency payment transaction.

France fits perfectly in this beautiful line of other statism-obsessed countries who are also developing their own cryptocurrencies, like Venezuela, China and North-Korea.

Keep it real guys. If they'd do it for the sake of the people, then why are they so afraid of Bitcoin?

and am even wondering why this country are so eager to create their own crypto when there are so many in the market? they have to do is do a thorough search and select the one that best fit their needs and do partnership with that project to further strengthen the foundation of such project, instead, this country are busy creating new crypto for their country ::)

probably because they think crypto cannot be denying , so the better way for it is just create a own crypto currency.
its a weird thing right ?
firstly they declare to ban,war or everything, then now , they just reversing their own words.
At first China wanted to make their own cryptocurrency and now France want to make their own too. I think it is now a trend that most of these countries will start to make their own cryptocurrency despite of banning the cryptocurrency they still plan to make one. It's like they were following what was the China have been doing in the past and up until now. Someday we will be hearing another same story like this in the future.

Going to the horse’s mouth (see https://www.bis.org/review/r191204f.htm), it seems that the Governor of the Bank of France is well aware of the challenges:
Quote
<…> There is no denying that, today, the "centre of gravity" for payments is shifting towards these new players, especially the BigTechs. This displacement poses a challenge for banks' economic model, but could also be a threat to European sovereignty insofar that the infrastructures, knowledge and technologies underlying it are largely owned by non-European corporations.<…>
And although he seems to not have taken a shine to Bitcoin:
Quote
<…> The first wave of speculative crypto-assets such as bitcoin - which are very volatile, with no real underlying economic basis and perhaps no real future - has been succeeded by a second generation of assets - stablecoins - based on the same promising blockchain technology, but now backed by mechanisms designed to stabilise their value <…>
He is committed to a goal:
Quote
<…> l propose concrete measures to make cross-border, extra-European payments significantly cheaper and faster.<…>
And the stepping stones towards that goal start by:
Quote
<…> We are particularly keen to take part in experiments to integrate a "wholesale" CBDC (central bank digital currency) into innovative procedures for exchanging and settling tokenised financial assets.<…>
Our actions will naturally contribute to the work of the Eurosystem, which should make looking into the possibility of an "e-euro" one of its next focuses <…>
creating a CBDC would give us a powerful lever with which to assert our sovereignty in the face of private-sector initiatives such as Libra <…>

Of course the French initiative is subject to complement European Union initiatives, such as that announce recently by the ECB (European Central Bank), who seems amidst debating on the designs of a potential digital currency for the EU (see https://en.cryptonomist.ch/2019/12/05/ecb-to-develop-european-digital-currency). The French initiative should therefore be viewed as a divide and (try to conquer) approach to digital currencies in the EU, and not a stand-alone solution-to-be.

France and Germany must be a good country to stay when all of a sudden your country ban crypto.

France, China, Germany. Soon all countries will have their own cryptocurrencies  :D

They block facebook libra and now they wanted to have their own, I guess its best for every country to have their own since China first created their own as well. This isn't going to be surprising anymore since economy is almost dictated by powerful countries like China. Someone should also advise Trump to do the same if he gets re-elected.

The outlet reported via Twitter, the Bank of France’s governor, Francois Villeroy de Galhau, said in a recent statement that his organization will start running “experiments” rapidly on digital assets and will “launch a call for projects” before the end of the first quarter of 2020 — literally just three or four months away. Galhau made this comment at ACPR, a French regulatory agency for banks and insurance based in Paris :) :)

I think this is part of the government's black campaign against cryptocurrencies to save their currencies. They give bad information to the public but do research at the same time to publish their own cryptocurrency. After many countries competed to publish their own cryptocurrencies and now every central bank realized that cryptocurrencies are truly beneficial.

Crypto benefits for this is the path to adoption but there is a catch to it.

If all countries have this digital currency, then the government may be able make regulations their way also. If the fiat papers are going to be useless anymore, we would be force to buy these digital currency they create but would have to submit KYC again. Taxation follows after it. BTC and perhaps other coins will still be here.

Most probably the influence of cryptocurrency like positive news that brought them up with this decision, and now they're thinking more developments towards handling at their own digital currency. However it's not that easy to venture from traditional way to virtual type of money. Of course they should educate their people, especially the elder ones because it needs a lot of adjustments. Bitcoin is the only way for them to feed up knowledge, prior the implementation takes place.

If they're not investigating the blockchain, I think they're doing it wrong. France and Germany are both partners and commercial strife. Bitcoin against the US offers an alternative economy.

We should understand that this is an economic war. And in this war, victory will belong to the person who acts exactly. Not long ago, China announced that it would develop its cryptocurrency. In short, I think France will take action.

But what separates the crypto that France is planning to do from other cryptocurrencies is that it's going to be started by their central bank, the CBDC. It's not going to benefit the cryptocurrency space. They are creating these coins in order to adopt one of bitcoin's benefits (ease of payment across the internet with lowish fees) in order to kill bitcoin. Their thinking is that if you can get bitcoin's benefits from an official coin, why would anyone use bitcoin.

I wish we had a clear definition of what Cryptocurrency is or what qualifies a cryptocurrency.
I think a clear standard will help people recognize what is real or fake. Unfortunately, we have no such standards hence anything goes. If the community grades cryptocurrencies based on agreed standards, fake cryptocurrencies will have no place in this space. They will struggle to survive. People who promote them will be ostracized or isolated.

Well, Government owned "cryptocurrency" will likely not be immutable, decentralized, transparent, censorship resistant, deflationary, limited in supply, permissionless, trustless, etc . These are important features of true cryptocurrency.

It will be a trend in many countries, to implement their own token.

This only means anything can happen. I hope that other countries will also acknowledge the existence of this technology which is crypto. What make me very amaze is when the France government come up to the idea of having crypto in the school curriculum. This would widen the knowledge of youngsters in the field of crypto.
Sooner or later every country will try to create their own crypto and test the scenarios. They think they can manipulate crypto like conventional currencies but I dont think people will fall for this now.
Possibly this will happen, every countries would like to create their own digital currency perhaps the efficiency it can gives, I think to dethrone Bitcoin on its position of leading digital currency as well and to monitor every transactions of their people.

Blockchain challenges the life old banking method and brought new changes in the banking method so the countries that are taking this risk will be a step ahead in the future, economically. It is always important to adopt current technology as soon as possible a country like France has understood this. Soon every country will start understanding. :D

LOL!

An official French crypto! Judging by this country's current deficit, theirs unbalanced budgets for the last 40 years, and weekly strikes everywhere in France, you'd have to be mad to have faith in it.

It's good for BTC, though.

actually there is nothing new in this kind of changing sides.

like china's stand in past and now they are standing towards this, and many more that i already forgot.

what is important with this action is the adoption they are doing that will bring positive to crypto world.specially in EU part that we knew is starting their way towards crypto.

It will not bring anything positive to Bitcoin. France will only be developing a type digital fiat with a centralized ledger.
Yes, the France government will create a centralized coin backed with fiat but the creation of their national digital currency will precisely bring something positive to the bitcoin market if we look at the bright side because the reason why others cryptocurrency are created is because of Bitcoin inspiration and I'm sure people from France and from the rest of the world will want to know more about the coin that inspired the France governments.

From that statement, then France truly has understood the "essence of cryptocurrencies"? Please answer, what is the "essence of cryptocurrencies"?

I just said it. It’s a digital currency :o. Tell me what bitcoin solved when utilizing digital currencies? What does other “virtual currency” that bitcoin has? Why did suddenly banks thought that it’s possible to do digital cash now and possibly create their own?

That's the answer? Then I believe you too didn't get the whole "essence" of Bitcoin. No offense intended.

I am among those who were surprised to see the movement of the france government so quickly in adopting cryptocurrency. But this is
positive news for the cryptocurrency community, France is a large country that can have an influence on other european countries to
adopting cryptocurrency. Making their own coins is a good step that France has taken to play a role in lifting cryptocurrency name in the
eyes of the world. Now cryptocurrency will be more famous than ever before, I'm not surprised by france taking This decision. Because
France sees the future of cryptocurrency as very good, so France does not want to be left behind by developments cryptocurrency. So they
make their own cryptocurrency coins, like China.

Already there were more countries that has taken cryptocurrency into consideration for usage, now it is happening with france. We could totally agree with that.  8)

No, it's not a digital currency is a digital asset, big difference.
Hmm. We see it in a different way. It's okay. Digital Currency is money in the digital form right? That is used for the transaction. An asset could be considered as something of value that could add more value in the future. So we could agree that it's both a digital currency and a digital asset. Alright?

Fiat also takes the form of digital currency when you use your credit card but this thing is not a currency. And that's not just me saying is the BiS definition.
Understood. It's a bunch of numbers on a computer.

What does other “virtual currency” that bitcoin has?
Hmm, this is a deep one. What is snow but it's not rain?
I'm basing this on how Bitcoin was created. The solution to solving the double-spending issue. Resulting in the blockchain technology. That's what other virtual currency doesn't have (before). Now that there are central banks who want to use that kind of technology to create their own.

And double spending can be easily solved without the blockchain.
Furthermore, bitcoin is not safe from double spending attacks:

There are more and more countries launching their own cryptocurrency at this time. I think this is an indication that the world is now open for innovation to financial currency, and the result of this might be good because cryptocurrency could unify people around the world. If we are to help people adopt bitcoin and cryptocurrency, or have their own cryptocurrency, it will be easy for the to know bitcoin and altcoins. In this case, people could transact anywhere in the world in which for me is a sign of massive world development.

Thank you for this. It's an informative read that gave me more information about the upcoming CBDC plans and what it could offer for consumers and private entities as well. With the wholesale and retail type of currency. I may have gotten out of topic thinking that I know what I'm talking about. Anyways, we still have to wait on the "positive externalities" and the "potentially negative externalities" with having CBDC.

Banks don't care, as long as it's a centralized system they can revert transactions anytime they want, that's how refunds have been working for half a century.
I have never thought about it that way. That's the advantage of that centralized system.

It was not a debate. I was merely pointing out that you need to do your research and learn about the basics of Bitcoin. Start your path in topics about Bitcoin's value proposition/decentralization/censorship-resistance, and mining/POW-rewards/fees, and how they relate to the incentive-structure.

Learn that, then prepare to laugh at France's "cryptocurrency".

in my opinion countries in the world have realized the great potential of cryptocurrency so that those who previously refused crypto were eventually attracted and made their own crypto. Previously I also heard that China and Venezuela will make their own crypto and now France as well. I think most of the countries want to make their own crypto and later this crypto can be controlled by them. Government-made cryptocurrency is a centralized crypto, unlike bitcoin which is decentralized. but I'm sure when they make crypto in the end they will also legalize bitcoin.

I kinda loved the way people were adopting bitcoin as a single coin.
But now i see it is more towards centralized currencies for each country rather than having a global one.

It seems the power of having such crypto from their country is making people more greed rather than working together.
If that brings new people to the investors table as well for bitcoin i will be glad to know about it.

Nevertheless it's good that teach the younger ones.

Government backed digital currency is the future we are already seeing this going to happen after China reveal they are creating digital currency so countries followed. Somebody figured forcing people to use digital currency is the best way for government to track the money and also the government can collect tax properly, this is good way for government to manage the country.

While we tried to use decentralize currency to take the power back using blockchain, the government also figured to use blockchain against it.

If they plan to transition their fiat currency in to digital and they think it could be possible then why not? Imagine if you are just swiping a card with bitcoin or altcoin in it to make a simple transaction without even counting and getting money from your wallet. Imagine travelling without hassle in getting money in a vehicle full of passengers? And imagine sending transactions to many people, with cryptocurrency, every transaction is possible and we couldn't blame country's when they see the light in crypto.

This is great news! I hope other countries jump aboard the crypto wagon and embrace blockchain technology and the future. It will be very interesting to see how they introduce it to their people and if they will have a dual economy? One based on fiat the other on crypto. Would investing in such currency be a good idea? I think they will tie the value of the crypto to their local currency until it gains more adoption.

Why is everyone thinking that they are embracing bitcoin, if any country is coming up with their centralized coin even with a blockchain why would anyone follow that path and start adopting their stupid currency, for them to monitor all your transactions  ::). May be the government is looking this crypto craze as an opportunity to have complete control over their citizens and we should not fall for that trap.

well, it seems like France will also launch their own cryptocurrency next year.

I think it was a great idea to launch their own token since it was their country that is going to use it but I think these token could not be more useful since France already have its fiat money and bank system.
Also, France should just use bitcoin since the bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency and digital currency they should just use it as the cryptocurrency and as an asset.

Again the money in france is the Euro, so it will be the first step to a new money for the European Union maybe. A government will not use Bitcoin because they don't own it and they don't know who own it. Imagine if one day "Satoshi " sell all his bitcoin ? He will create maybe a new crisis. Imagine if you loose your wallet, bam all your money is gone.
The goal of a state is to protect the citizens, too many risks to adopt bitcoin as a national money.

The topic has the potential in turning into one long mega-thread full of people posting with very little understanding. You tell them the truth, and more of them keep coming like a swarm of ants.

Yeah, if bitcoin will be launch also in other countries because France already did it , it could be a great news, european has influence in other countries too. I hope that here in Asia it will be recognized as well.

For all i know, if they do a crypto in France, its not going to be something you can speculate on, all the people i talked with from institution their eyes goes  :o :o when They hear speculation or trading. Public services are not here To make profits, at best They just want To balance the budget, and they wont use taxe monney to develop a system with speculative profits. Maybe They are looking into it as a way to access public service or various things, but its not going to be a thing to make profits on it.

this will bring a boost to the cryptoworld in my opinion. and will increase adoption of cryptocurrency usage.

yeah, it's nice that blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are more popular all over the world and awareness among people about that stuff increase. However in case of France which wants to launch their own crypto, it's might be just an experiment, I doubt it will have a bright future, but they can try

Truly, I hardly understand how France is going to establish the digital currency. The modern world is fully depends on US-based banking giants, such as Visa, PayPal, Mastercard, etc. It is unbelievable for the traditional banking system to be less effective than the new cash-less one.

It's great to hear news like this, cryptocurrency being approved by more countries and more popular with everyone. In 2020 there will be many countries that will accept crypto as a payment method and a few others will launch crypto by central banks. China, France, Germany ... will be the leading countries in this field

Many will prefer to use digital currency because it can keep its own monetary sovereignty anywhere in the world. Plus, the digital euro currency would help traditional banks to put Mastercard, Visa, PayPal on the second place, so that the modern and usual banking tendencies can be connected at the same time. Nevertheless, it helps to modernize the whole financial system. The question is: How is digital currency can be effective for retail if it is mostly provided for banks and wholesale?

The majority prefer to keep cash as a currency but the government is not really for it .. so the crypto euro is also a step to stop the print of cash I think  :)

I am shocked French central bank can be better than Chinese central  one! It turns out new digital currency can be more profitable than private payment platforms, like WeChat and AliPay. I hope French experiment will be effective, so that any modern person will have a chance to invest and  trade cash-less money.

France is not the first country to launch crypto, there are already several countries that will do it like China and others, in essence they have all recognized that crypto has begun to be recognized by the government, I am sure cryptocurrency will be an important part of every country in the future. , maybe in the next few years, many countries will follow..

It will be the standard in the next 10 years, you won't be making any transactions in a thrift shop without a phone app, so you'd be always have to bring your phone with you when making transaction. One of the project that may really be adopted is the credit card projects in crypto where we can swipe these cards to pay cryptocurrency for the grocery products we buy.

As of today only few countries are beginning to adopt digital currencies sooner, people from other countries will find it hard to visit France unless they have the coins so they better adopt crypto too.

France has a good approach towards crypto since from the start and it actually doesn't bother them what false accusations that other countries have made. This kind of development is something could help to attract their people to engage more in crypto especially when they launch their own.
Though this is not new for us to hear such good news cause some country has started to make it also but helps to promote crypto globally and find its advantage over fiat.

A good approach on what ? innovation or in adoption ? because for me 75% of fees in the past was not a good approach for the adoption  :D
now it's better, it is just 30% but if you stay on the fees part it's still too high to attract investors and big players...
after on the innovation part we are slow but indeed we are better than some countries ..

You're getting it wrong. First of all, you said they are creating their own cryptocurrency and not Bitcoin, so that doesn't mean they have changed their mind about Bitcoin. They can still be against and also create their own cryptocurrency, lol. The way I see things are moving now, I think BITCOIN would be regarded as an asset, just like there is gold and silver and platinum.

Initially I thought that government are going to adopt Bitcoin, but they had a different move and instead of doing that, they are all now creating their own cryptocurrency as a digital form of their original currency.

Why did you think government will adopt Bitcoin ? I mean it's not really gov friendly. The main goal is to "destroy " the bank control to give more control to the people.

I've never seen a government approaching Bitcoin well. So I want to say this. Bitcoin does not offer a good alternative to the states. It even offers a dangerous economy. Citizens may lose all control over them. France, the European Union may also want to take control of monetary. Euro is a more sensible control tool.

France recognizes bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and this makes it a country. The cryptocurrency created by France has promising trends in the development of cryptography in the country. This is supported by many people here. Including with residents of France. Need to expect news.
