Title: Crypto auction website
Post by: Phili_1 on December 13, 2019, 11:55:05 PM
Hello together

My company is currently planning an auction site for used crypto hardware and accessories.

Our goal is to fulfill as many wishes as possible from the community and to realize them in the best possible way. For this reason we would be very grateful if you would take a moment to fill out this form. When the platform comes, we will also send you a small present (see last page of the questionnaire).

Form: https://forms.gle/beaXyXEAkhhNS49v5

Thank you for your help and answers.

We can also greedily discuss about features and co.  :)

Greetings
Phil

Not to burst the bubble for you, but what exactly do you want to accomplished here?

Hardware wallets? The safe and best method is to acquire it not in auctions but to buy it from Ledger or Trezor or to their official reseller, simply as that. No need to go to auction or make a bid, just saying.

Collectibles are probably the main targets, such as coins, artifacts, etc.

If they're pushing for selling used hardware wallet, that would be a bad move.

To tell you the truth, I don't think anything better than OpenBazaar could be created at this moment. I am surprised that developers without financial security for at least two - three years of development are trying to launch such projects.

I wouldn't buy hardware wallets at an auction platform either. The focus is on used graphics cards, ASIC's / FPGA's and the necessary accessories.

Hello, Joniboini.

The idea of selling merchandise around the topic Blockchain / Cryptocurrencies has not yet occurred to us.
The focus of the platform is on used graphics cards, ASIC's / FPGA's and the necessary accessories.

I think it's safe to say that every market place site that's accessible through the regular net is already better than OB. OB's main obstacle is that people need to do too many things to get it working, which just isn't worth the hassle. Most of the goods offered on OB are legal and for that reason do not require a peer to peer network to operate on. They shot themselves in the foot by doing that.

When you need censorship resistance it's amazing, when you don't, it sucks hard because any other centralized market place will do a better job serving people. It sucks to say this because I really like the project, but a project is only good when people appreciate it enough and use it, but that's lacking here.
