Tone Vays took to Twitter recently to make an exceptionally bearish call regarding Bitcoin. He claims that it will soon be the “best time to ‘buy the dip’ for years to come.”

Tone Vays is a popular cryptocurrency trader who has caused divisions in the cryptocurrency community, so much so that some tend to counter-trade his calls. That being said, Vays has just made a new bearish call for Bitcoin which he claims will be the best buying opportunity yet.

Of course, everyone can predict and say that it’s now the best time to “buy the dip” like Tone Vays.

However, if you are indeed a long-term risk taker or a day trader, you can take his advice. However, I am still not yet sure if this is already the last time that Bitcoin will reach its bottom.

In my own analysis, I can say that Bitcoin may be pumping a bit later and then going to drop again and meet its bottom. Halving won’t even guarantee us that Bitcoin would pump.

Honestly, I would like to wait a bit before it goes down even further to fill my buy order.

We think there is still space for lower lows than the one from today, we could even see the BTC price to temporarily go below $6000 - the annual Christmas sell-off period just started (so has our special offer), and still, there is a lot of space for shouting"Oh My, BTC is dead".

Sad to say that bitcoin's price is really down today that it's price has reach to 6,776 USD, so i think while the price of bitcoin is now more cheaper it will be the best time to buy it because a lot of people still believes that it will increased it's price in the year of 2020, so if it increases there are chances that you could double or triple your money.

I can't estimate the price anymore :( and I don't want to be provoked by the words of the predictor but if I have more funds I will continue to buy for the long term mate now or later if its at the lowest price ,I'm still thinking whether the price will drop to 5000 USD because of era of disposal for the holidays?

You look at the graph for the last six months and the price is going down.  The odd jump here and there but generally it is going down.  No sign of levelling off either. I'd wait for $5K.

Indeed, I am very sad now, because bitcoin is down now, but if I have an enough money Id rather buy more and more bitcoins because I believe that it could pump again few more days now. it depends! things aren't the  same for everyone.

for example an investor who simply has extra worthless fiat laying around and dumps it for bitcoin every now and then should not focus too much about where the "bottom" is. their wait would only lead to missing out.

but on the other hand a day trader who is making profit from 5% changes, must put all his effort and focus on finding that "bottom" because buying higher means he loses money since he is a DAY TRADER. and waiting too long means again he loses money since he couldn't buy and price goes up and past his profit margins.

so the answer to "is it the right time?" is both yes and no. it is up to the users to decide which group they belong to.

Well we all do hope that it will be going down further, and after days gone by hoping and mange to skip the bottom and will still hope to buy at the dip, it is too late, we will be regretting this time, the time it is still available for us commoners who got spare amount of money that we did not take the chance for a once in a lifetime moment in the future. Every moment in this time is a great chance, or else may this will be our last to see this price ever again, we should gamble and take the risk-buy and hodl.

For long term holders, it's always a good time to buy now and just wait a few years. It's time in the market, not timing the market. You may not have a chance to buy at a better rate, or you could simply set a limit buy order at your preferred price point.

I would agree to that and besides you'll start losing when you start selling. So whichever happen, don't sell at loss and do long term holding.

Even we rely on graphs, it isn't accurate anyway hence the past graphs would tell to our face that what happened before might not happen again. Tbh, I believe on those before but seems change is really constant and it's not enough to rely on those. Nonetheless, just bought at the price that you think you can afford to lose

Very risky market so they say. If an investor have gotten your BTC being an early investors or have mined it from the beginning then there is not risk for him to sell right now and then convince the market to drop to $1000 and all gains are for him. But that is if him can successfully do it and can still by back at less than $1000.  Sick and greedy investors.

I wouldn't recommend buying right now unless its down to $3k. If its going to be to go that low, I hope it stays that low for a very long time for maybe 5 years or so.

Depending on the price you are targeting to buy it and it's better to wait for bitcoin to be reduced by around $ 6,000 or lower, and make purchases according to your ability and not impose your abilities because the current movement of bitcoin is difficult to predict.

I think, trying to time the market is a bad idea, and will end up eating at your brain. the easy answer is to do dollar cost averaging, buy every pay day a set amount, and do this for a few years. this way you buy when it is high and you buy more when it is low. however, If you are worried that you missed the Bitcoin Boat, and if you can take a long term view, I can say the right time to buy Bitcoin is whenever the cost is less than US $14,000.

If bitcoin is going down to $ 3,000 it is not possible and there is still a long way to say like that if you have strong guts it is okay to buy now as low as only $ 6400 and after that it will be pumped again but not so prominent.
In the next 5 years bitcoin will show the real price can be relied upon is not difficult to predict.

You were not alone as I tried sold my bitcoin around the same value which I had purchased when the value started dropping down assuming it will pump but it dropped beyond the expectation only to pump up. I am into crypto for a long time still I made the same mistake, sometimes our emotions take better control of us but we need to learn from it and use it as an advantage.

We don't really know the what is going to be the market price if we already buy the bitcoin, we cannot accurately predict the market price of bitcoin since there are so many things need to consider like supply and demand of the market place are a lot of delays in a lot of countries, we know that if we already buy bitcoin the market price need to recover from that time, recover in volume so that it could increase its market price in the market with the bitcoin could recover. So I think it just a matter of prediction and luck when it comes to investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrency.

This is not wise to follow any financial advice like investing into any project, time to buy/sale from random people. No one knows nothing. Who knows when btc or any crypto's market will grow? On any investment decisions i do made, im not really totally get influenced with these calls yet when i decide to buy or enter the market
i do make my own analysis and somewhat follow my instinct or intuition that i should buy up.These low levels arent really that bad for you

Everything with the market moves were based on some calculations and not an accurate outcome prediction. Some coincide with the real market changes while most won't coincide. With this it is good to make own learning about the market, make comparisons and decide the right time to make an investment than making investment based on someone's suggestion.

Any prediction is possible on the cryptocurrency market but I think this is not the best time to buy bitcoin. We are about to enter the Christmas holidays and people will tend to sell bitcoins to receive real money. Perhaps bitcoin will be trending downward by the end of 2019, so it is likely that the price will drop below $ 6k. Please wait a few more days, you will definitely have a good price.

Yeep, I totally agree with your opinion about this. Bitcoin hasn't been completed on its way to low prices. the price of $ 6800 does not guarantee this is over. I still hope it will reach $ 6000- $ 5500. bullish will only occur if the Whales have confirmed all through the patterns arranged on the chart. but at this time. they are agreeing that the price of bitcoin is going down. so I think a good entry is $ 6000. hope this happens.

I wouldn't buy right now there are no confirmations yet if the price well settle in the $6000 price range. its to risky what if it goes down even further and test the $5000 support, till then i'll just wait. I dont want to buy because someone told me to, even though my investment is small i want to take this opportunity to buy cheap bitcoins.

Maybe he's right about that, the price of Bitcoin just dropped ~8% today and yesterday making the price to be around $6,600. Halving is next and I don't know if the price all drop further after the drop today.

I would like to buy at the lowest price, but there's really no need to worry about it. That's why I just invest what I can risk, you never know what follows next. I keep investing little, and if the price drops too much, I still buy more of the coins and store in my wallet. So, I will keep watching the price and see what happens next year. Are you really going to depend your decisions in other opinions? What will you do if you lose because you follow the tips and opinions of the other people? All of us do not what will be the price of the bitcoin in the future and it is the reason why we should learn technical analysis after all. By studying the historical data then we can have an idea about the direction of the price. Most of the data can give us accurate foresight so it is really good to use it.

We don't intent to depend our decisions in other people and we are just asking for an opinion and doesn't means that we are depending on what they will do so meaning we are just gathering relevant informations that may help us to earn more in a good way and nice way. At the end of the day, we will be the one who will decide on what path we are going into and why we will go into. Technical analysis based on the movement of the market helps us to predict some possible impact or happening in the market so that technical analysis really helpful to us in terms of speculating the outcomes of the market.

No doubt about the price as of today is lower because of the holiday season. however, if you plan to buy it just to sell it sooner, this is not a good time to buy. the price might get even lower than this as we closing to the end of the month. Anyway, If you plan to buy and will sell it after the Bitcoin halving, it's not a bad idea if you want to buy today cause you might not see as low as this price again.

In fact, we didn't really know who the OP is, with this kind of topic, you have a point but to consider, if the OP is already aware of the market analysis such as using the basic knowledge to determine outcomes from graphs, then it is will not be enough, from my understanding there are three fundamental ways we should consider to verify our decision in the market. First is to analyze the market condition thru graphs, followed by researching the news and updates about the crypto, and lastly, is to ask some questions to others especially their opinion about the matter. I get where you're coming from, but the truth is that none of us knows whether bitcoin is going to fall any further, and I'd say that at a price of $6700 or so, bitcoin is a damn good buy.  I say that because I'm of the opinion that it's going to go higher eventually.  When I can't say for sure, but I'm 99.8% sure that it won't be staying at or below that price forever.  I'm more than hopeful that bitcoin's going to move back toward its ATH, and since I'm in this for the long term, bitcoin is looking cheap.

We don't have any strong fuds that can cause this fud and provably this is the reason on why we experience the sudden dump since in past year the ICO's has been hunted by many scammers and maybe they execute there sales this days that's why it affect the market to go crash but as you said for sure there will be a good thing happen since. I prefer to wait for a while to buy bitcoin because we see that the bitcoin price gets a pump, so if you buy right now, you will get in a trap at the high price if the price suddenly down to the low price. By waiting for a while on where bitcoin price will move, you can still analyze the chart, and if somehow you are sure that the price will be increased in the next hours, then you can buy bitcoin right now without waiting for more. You can do both. Split your money into two. Used the half to buy and wait for price increase. The another half will be use just in case the price will drop even lower. I doubt many of us here arr buying full btcs. We just buy what our funds can afford. So buy in spurts. You can't tell whether the value will drop some more so do it little by little. I think everyone has different decisions and speculations regarding the price of bitcoin. usually I will buy bitcoin after I see the value of bicoin has decreased several times. like yesterday when the value of bitcoin fell from $ 8000 to $ 7000 I would stay calm and wait again. then if bitcoin falls again to $ 6500 I just buy bitcoin. so my principle is always to wait a few days after the decline. and I think right now is the right time to buy before the price of bitcoin rises again to $ 9,000. but this is only speculation that can be right or wrong.

That’s very true, anyone can say whatever they want about the price and where it is going but no one really can claim it is 100% accurate because no one knows what will be the price in the next days or months. I would suggest you do what you think is best based on what you’ve studied and understood with the markets movement rather than base it on someone else’s and then end up being disappointed. For me, whenever there’s a low price, it is an opportunity for us to invest in because we don’t know maybe tomorrow it will grow.

It's very difficult to predict the short term. But the long term, as in months and years out, is quite simple. The longer the term, up to a certain extent, the simpler it is to think about it. Buy now. Sell after several years. Usually that means profits or gains.

But to buy now only to to sell tomorrow is usually not a smart move.

Its possible BTC is breaking out of negative trends in place since July, so the answer might finally be yes.   If you ask me right this second then I'm looking at some profit taking occuring.   Price did not manage to cross 50 day average and is below 50 week average, if it crosses both those then its more bullish.     Indicating it might leave the negative trend and actually doing so with proper confirmation is another matter, it can take day weeks even months to finally prove its metal and we cannot be sure but I at least try to be aware of possible moves.

Thats 1st a brief snap, positive look.   Not that long after I look and see its hit its head on a low mine shaft :P   seems we dip below 7450 the horizontal line there, thats more bearish looking.   Might be a longer wait for the larger move, today people sell some for profits feels like to me.

Your words are really in my opinion very correct.  Of course, Bitcoin has been showing a downward trend for quite a long time, as many experts have talked about and predicted.  Some cryptocurrency users are comparing the current state of affairs in the cryptocurrency market with the end of 2018, and if we continue the analogy, then the next 2020 should be similar to the beginning of 2019.  Perhaps today is really a very good opportunity for those who decide to make investments at current prices.

As said immediate profiting is not gonna happen now. Now it is a must to have patience once buying, because there isn't perfect time period for growth. There is fluctuation in the market price, and no steady growth. If short term profiting is the plan, then buying in large numbers and gaining out of the small difference between the buying and selling seems to be the only choice.

Just look at the chart and follow the market movement, by doing this you can make your own analysis and start your trading strategy. The market seems a bit stable compared to the other week when the market is a little bit unstable that even trading bit by bit will still lead to losses.
