January is almost here and the situation are not looking much promising for January. And January and February are still the festive seasons that shows no large buying of crypto as people prefer goods. Bitcoin price should start rising from March and may rich another ATH by June.

Actuary predict bitcoin price is really tough. Because bitcoin can reverse any time. I don’t think so that in January 2020 bitcoin can hit 10K$. But hope we will see bitcoin price in January 8k$ to 9k$         

you can't just say "analysis" and not include any of it here! readers want to know who has analyzed this and where was it published? there are too many random newbies making guesses and calling it "analysis" that we don't trust anybody anymore.

that being said reaching $10k is not really that important. the more important resistance that we should look for is somewhere between $8k and $9k. or it may even be $8k itself depending on the market mood. when that resistance is broken then $10k is like drinking water because of the big FOMO that will be followed...

At least you should have posted this so called analysis on why bitcoin will hit the five digits this January, otherwise this is just another wild and educated guess in which everyone can make.

And we all know how volatile the market is, so we can't really say that it will simply touch $10k in January because people are going to buy, it takes more than that.

Let's see the movement before the year ends tomorrow, how market will flow, but fore me I think it is possible, as there are lots of rumors that indicating that we will have a good price this coming year because of a lot of good news, a lot of events and the adoption of it is continuously rising.

yes it short but its more of a prediction only on its side so its okay if he didnt provide a source  , he already said that he hear these prediction to others which was also true and i agree with it because i did also hear those positive prediction lately  .  10k expectation was small and can be easily achievable but other prediction was way more than this   but its okay if we wont get too exage right now until btc succesfully pass 10k usd  .  the real growth will probably start after that

Most of the time, bitcoin price move towards unexpected events. Many say that 2020 will be a great year for bitcoin and there will be a lot of opportunities to come. That's why there is no wonder that in early 2020, bitcoin price might reach $10k or even more.

In my own opinion, it might possible that bitcoin would reach it's price to 10,000 USD next year of january because bitcoin halving have already started and a lot of people would also start to buy bitcoin next year of 2020. It is also possible that bitcoin will only touch to almost 9,500 USD because it is a little exaggerated to bump so quickly.

January 2020 just one days later with bitcoin still $7000 impossible based on my opinion about bitcoin reached above $10k, looks very impossible for bitcoin can reach more than $3000 just one day later, maybe on 2020 bitcoin come back with higher price above $10k but need waiting for until bitcoin halving coming and get chance for bitcoin have higher price above $10k.

I think it is too short time to reach bitcoin 10k mark because still bitcoin price is around 7k and it will take much more time to reach 10k mark as per crypto experts say and maybe after June it will possible to bitcoin 10k mark.

However price prediction is impossible. a 10k price does sound reasonable at some point before the halving, in my opinion anyway.

Nobody knows if that's gonna happen or not! You're just predicting that though. Bitcoins price may increase and touch the 10k$ in January or probably it will stay at this range of price. I mean we're just predicting and nothing sure like 100% .

The rise in the price of bitcoin with the onset of spring is more real. Now the Christmas and New Year holidays have already come and traditionally the price of Bitcoin at this time not only does not grow, but even falls a little, because people spend more money on this to buy various gifts and celebrate. i am very much sure that bitcoin will cross $10k target but I am also sure that nobody can predict the time when it will cross that barrier. So stop following these predictions. If you really think that bitcoin can cross $10k then who is stopping you from buying bitcoin at current price?

I think that in January 2020, there will be the lowest prices in the market, so it is unlikely that Bitcoin in January will cost $10k, but if we take 2020 as a whole, then of course Bitcoin will cost $10k and above.

I would not argue much about this prediction as it's fair and attainable looking at the fact that we have already started seeing some major improvements in the price of bitcoin for the past 3 days. 10K is just a stone throw away that i agree bitcoin can reach that sooner or later having in mind that bitcoin block halving is happening in May.

I think it would impossible for bitcoin to increase it's price at almost 10K USD in next year of 2020 because it is a very short time for bitcoin to increase that fast, so I think bitcoin would only increase it's price to only 8K USD this January 2020 because obviously the market is still down, it would be really hard to expect that bitcoin will increased its price that fast.

If we see history of bitcoin then there is no short time to reach new heights. This year just a statement from Chinese president took bitcoin to 12000$. But I do agree that the way market is going 10k in January does not look feasible. Lets hope 2020 bring smiles on all of our faces.

I don't think there's much of a chance for big jump of the price until after the Chinese new year.
(But I should warn you I've just became quite pessimistic after being overly optimistic for the last months).

I'm tired of these analysts.Yes, the price should go up, but it will not be in January, but most likely throughout the year.I have high hopes for 2020.

I don't believe in short-term forecasts like one / two weeks or a month. If you tell me by the end of 2020 I could also agree and hope for it, but for January 2020 I don't really believe it can be predicted.

Lots of person are already aware of the prospect in bitcoin come year 2020. I look forward to  a new height that hasn't been attained,  which I believe would be achieved.  I can see the positive signs already in respect to this.

Possibly, but if not in January then within a couple of months for sure. I think the price will gradually increase during the year due to the halvening.

Like others, i'm bored as well in long wait but I don't think there will be much changes in price this January and February. I don't see any reason that price could possibly reach $10k in upcoming month. Although it is possible and achievable, but I guess we're gonna wait until second quarter to see some changes and what way is btc heading or maybe not. All we can do right now is wait and hope that the same thing will happen months after halving and not those bearish predictions.

It's breezed through 10 grand loads of times. It's clearly no barrier. Getting general enthusiasm back is and I don't see it happening next month. More of the same is my guess.

I want to know where you got the news and analysis that you should write the source of the news. the current price of bitcoin is $ 7200 and tomorrow we will enter January 1. I think bitcoin will still be priced at $ 7k until January. maybe in february bitcoin will start to increase or maybe decrease because in may bitcoin is reduced by half. usually bitcoin will dump before it is reduced by half. it's very difficult to predict the price of bitcoin.

Can you give a link to an article of those analysts to see how they came to those conclusions? I ask because I do not see how we are going to get to those levels when bitcoin has problems reaching 8000, if you were to ask me in which direction I think the price will move during the next months, I will answer that question without any hesitation, the price will most likely go down as people begin to give up in this market once again and wait until the next time a bull run becomes a possibility.

I just hope it will really reach at least 10k in January 2020, no one can really say or predict exactly what is going to happen next year but I guess every one of us wants the price to reach 10k or even more but with the current situation I think it'll be very hard to reach even at 9,000 but who knows, maybe it will reach 10k, let's just wait and see and wish for the best.

I don't think it will touch $10K in January which is pretty much starting tomorrow. However realstically I think somewhere in the first quarter we might see $9-$10K.

I periodically look at the Deribit options and looking at the OI and volume for March 2020 expiry,

You can see that the $8000 call options had alot of volume recently and the open interest is big at 1182BTC and the premium is way over $750.00. So whomever invested in these options is betting that it will be at least $8750 sometime before the end of Q1 2020.

it depends on the situation. if many were buying bitcoin at the time to prepare a halving, there is a high possibility that the price could touch $ 10k in January. however, it all depends on demand. although it is not that promising, but I think there is potential that can make the price of bitcoin in that price range. however, I also believe that at that time the price of bitcoin could be above $ 8500.

yes i also agree with you i don't think bitcoin will reach $ 10k in January. because if you look at the bitcoin chart, the price of bitcoin in December is stable at $ 7k and it seems rather difficult for bitcoin to pass this $ 7k level. few days yesterday bitcoin increased by 1% but then dropped more. and I think now and until early next year we are still in the bear market. so don't expect big jumps of up to $ 10k in the near future.

I can't remember if there were price that seems close in all my speculated price this year. I was able to predict whether it will rise or not but not to extent to be close enough in a price it will increase before it will goes down again. Let's just be it whatever price it may, as long as it will pump even a bit before halving.

There will certainly be a strong growth spurt for Bitcoin in 2020, but we can't know when it will begin, could be the next day but it could be the end of 2020. And my goal for bitcoin is 15000$ in 2020

It's more unlikely to happen than it has chances of achieving that price. As of now, we still see no significant action. Though it might be worth noting that the pump last time to $10k was pretty quick, and is also short-lived. Though personally, I still find the lows on mid to end February next year.

Unfortunately you have to provide a clear source so that what you say can be trusted. Everyone will also say things like you say, but lacking the sources presented.
Only based on public assumptions that are spread in several news. Bitcoin prices will go up depending on the agreement of the buyer and seller.

It's not new to us that bitcoin could pump anytime, if it was able to pump to over $10K from $6K+ IIR, then it's not impossible to see that price again by next month.

Going to start just close to 10k though. Anyway, where's the reference man? Wanna know more about this analysis thing because if it were close to being real then I am going to buy some bitcoin now ;D, and won't be waiting for the price to go much more lower (who wouldn't want to be included right). It is definitely possible, bitcoin could be $5k tomorrow or $10k, we may never know that until it happens. However come to look at what happened to bitcoin, I feel like what the increases "halving" could bring is already brought, I don't think there will be anything extra on top of this, last years April was the moment all the rich folks bought bitcoin for the halving purposes on a long term trajectory and that was it, we sold bunch of it to them as well and now we are at a level where everyone feels like is okay for the halving.

I consider only a year after the halving itself where we will start to see real increases, that is when it happened last time and why not have the same result once again? Miners already have some bitcoins saved up so they will prolong it and we will once again have an increase one year after the halving.

Obviously, market pump and dump was undetermined so anytime it will going to moon. Most of the peoples are concentrate the Bitcoin so it will grow rapidly in crypto market. We see 3k USD also in this year and 13k USD also in this year so we must hold for satisfy our further growing.

All of that will end now maybe in 2019 the lowest price is 3k usd and the highest price is 13k usd, well in a few hours we will enter 2020 and of course the initial price of 7k usd bitcoin then what about the prediction of high price bitcoin with this 2020?

Well, we have to always remember that in the world of Bitcoin anybody's opinions and ideas can be as good as ours, no matter if they are branded as analysts or experts or whatever. While I will be so happy if soon Bitcoin can be reaching the $10K level, I am more grounded with the things happening right now in the market. The price prediction for the year 2020 is big based on various factors. Halving plays a big role in the price expectancy, $10k is easy reachable and I don't think this will happen by January. I doubt we will reach that specific price this January, most probably it touches nearly $10k at around $9.5k to $9.8k for entire January. What makes me come to that idea was due to slow growing trend even though the last days of December. Indeed, some even predicted that it will be higher than 10k year but we really don't know if it will really happen, we can see an increase in price little by little and who knows maybe it will eventually rise up to 10k in the next few months.

It is possible that Bitcoin can touch $10k this January the same weight it can go down below $6k.  What I am trying to say is that Bitcoin volatility had shown us that it cannot be predicted precisely.  Telling the trend  by reading only TA does not bring any solid proof that it will touch $10k because no one can predict the future.  So instead of using the word "will" it is best to use "may" because of the reason that it is not 100% true and will happen.

Last time most Bitcoin analysts believe in bullish trend for 2020. They are sure that the crypto's price will grow. Bitcoin at $10,000 sounds more realistic than Bitcoin at $50,000 or $100,000. Let's be optimistic and hope that you are right.

I don't know your source to say this but even with optimistic with the halving, the maket seens so slow and the prices are increasing in a very slow mode

I really hope so, I really do, I mean it is very vital for all of us that bitcoin price goes up not just because we will make some profits but also because we would get a lot of mainstream attention if we could go back to over $10k, even if not as much as the times when we were $20k but at least some more since whenever price makes a big move it makes some sort of noise in economy channels.

Leaving that aside the more people hear about bitcoin the more people will adopt bitcoin to their places and start accepting bitcoin as payment, the more people do that the more we can spend bitcoin somewhere instead of selling it, that means people would buy and not sell and price would go up that way as well. It is just way too important for bitcoin price to be on positive for millions of reasons and not just profiting.

actually, quite a lot of people think that way. the fact is that currently the price of bitcoin is recovering, and this could have brought bitcoin to a price of $ 10k. if this week the price of bitcoin can approach the price of $ 8000 or even has passed it, then most likely this hope can happen. but I also doubt that.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I took the time to watch the previous halvings and nothing like what you describe happened, while this is obviously not a guarantee and anything can happen at the same time observing the past gives us insight on what could happen in the future, if we are lucky we could get a small increase before the halving but I have my doubts about it, most likely the price will remain stable or will decrease and it will only begin to go up after the halving has taken place.

I'm not convinced that will happen. Few days ago some thought Bitcoin might reach much more than 10000$ even this month but the price pulled back again and now it's seems that is moving back and forth.
It's much more likely that price will continue to fluctuate in current price range but it will not touch 10000$ this month.

Where are the news buddy? Aside from the unexpected event attacks by the United States of America on Iran that push the market forward I have not heard anything that will push the market forward. And halving we are all waiting for will take place around May and not this January.

In the cryptocurrency market there is nothing as official news,each and everything associated with cryptocurrencies that's been revealed by someone good with the market analysis is a news. Here the phenomenal growth is happening, and the same is driving the price forward creating the first resistance point at $8000. If there will be another rally again where it surpass its current resistance then it is a good sign that the market will turn into bullish.

We might never see $6,000 again. and maybe this is the start of the long awaited mega 2017 style bull run. My goal is to sell my existing holdings somewhere between $38,000 and $56,000, however I am in no rush to do so. I have been told that now is not a good time to add more to my existing portfolio. Then I did miss this $6,500 and I didn't increase my positions but fine. I have spent already a fortune on Crypto and it is time to make some money back at new ATH for Bitcoin since after that we will have new ATH for altcoins as it happened in 2017 and early 2018.

It depends on the news and who does the analysis and from where it is presented, you did not post the analysis where you can prove that Bitcoin will reach $10,000, and it's also depends on the news coming in, I think the Iran events contributed to the small pump and for the price to reach that $10,000 there should be a lot of good news coming in, and I don't think it will happen this January.

That is a fairly high target compared to the current situation. And as I say, we cannot predict exactly how this market will operate and move in the future. Bitcoin can go down to $ 4,000-5000 if it has FUD and the market gets worse. I also invest a lot of money in bitcoin and also hope that in 2020 things will get better and we will get more profits.

It went up to $8.4k recently, now that is two times price is trying to go up, I am not saying it will definitely break $10k but as you can see from the movements there are two parties involved in this fight. One side wants bitcoin to go over 10k for sure and they are trying their best to increase the price, evident from the twice over $8k now and that is something very nice for us that wants to profit with our investment, the other side sells their coins to keep it low for god knows what reason (maybe they shorted?).

So, whoever ends up winning this fight the other one will stop and as soon as that side stops price will do a big move. If the side that loses or at least gives up is the one that sells, then buyers will take the price of bitcoin over $10k very very easily.

The price of bitcoin is moving in a very strange way, we are seeing a very significant movement not only in bitcoin but in all the market with many coins outperforming bitcoin but that is an issue, what does this mean? Well, the price increase that made some speculations made sense, in fact, I felt that reaching the price of $ 10k at the end of this month was quite easy. it's just that, after the price increase that occurred, there is currently an adjustment phase, so the price drops slightly due to the usual fluctuations. If we take into account that today is only January 17, 2020, and bitcoin has already shown growth by 20% since the beginning of this year, then we can completely assume a bullish trend for the entire cryptocurrency market for the whole of 2020.  Already many analysts say that the current growth of Bitcoin is practically the best indicator for the period starting from 2012.  but nevertheless, to predict, as always, something is very difficult, because the cryptocurrency market, and especially Bitcoin, can always amaze with its unpredictability.

I think that will not happen. At the moment price is not so far from 10000$ and Bitcoin has shown a significant rise this month but I expect further corrections to happen. Although situation in the market tends to be optimistic I don't think that Bitcoin will cross 9000$ this month, this might be the max value that we will see this month.

As I am writing this the price is now above 9000 and if the price closes above that price then most likely we are still going to continue to see some positive movement for bitcoin, quite honestly I do not understand why bitcoin is moving like this, nothing important has happened and the halving is still months away but for some reason people are very optimistic about the price and if that is the case then you need to take advantage of it and try to make some money with the movements of the market.

Bitcoin only needs another $ 900 in 12 days to reach 10,000 in January, and nothing is impossible for bitcoin because 12 days is not a short time for bitcoin to increase again because of what we have seen in the last few days of the bitcoin movement from early January tends to increase gradually and although there is a small amount of decline several times but will increase again from the previous price.

Well these threads keep coming up because people like you and me keep on answering lol. Though i think it can really be helpful for beginners seeing a variety of opinions regarding topics like these. Those of us who have experience can share what we know a few times over if we have the for it. I think it's repetitive yes, but there are tidbits that newbies can pick up every now and then when a thread like this comes up.

At this point, the possibility for bitcoin to reach $10K by this month seems unlikely.
Technically, $10K isn't far away, I bet it will be achieved in next month.

This is more likely to happen if and only if, there will be  a continuous direction with regards to the uprise of the market value of Bitcoin and other cryptos. Bitcoin's price reaching such mark would be possible but not in a short period of time as what OP have expected. Things could still go wrong given that the market is naturally volatile. Let's just hope that the trend at this moment would be somewhat consistent for the following months to come.

Hopes are still intact since we still have many days left before the January ends but we should not get upset if it didn't touch for $10k for this month since there are other month will came and maybe January is test for waters for the other investors who fear for the past bear market and accumulation period is just starting up these days. We should remember that price still unpredictable and we should play positively according on what is the current event going on.

After another negative day the price of bitcoin is trading below 8400 it may not seem as if the price of 10k is that far away but it is, the bears are not going to let the bulls to take over the market that easily and surpass 9k, and even worse the level of 10k is critical, it is a huge sign that basically tells the market that we are in a bull run and it is going to take a lot of time before we surpass it especially if people are expecting this to happen before the halving.

There is only 1 week left until January ends, and the current bitcoin price is trading at $ 8300 and tends to go down in the coming days. The chance for Bitcoin to go up to $ 10,000 in January is very low, even it will not reach this goal. I hope in February the price of Bitcoin can continue to go up the same way as before and my goal will be $ 11000.

You are very right about the adoption. Compared to 6 years ago, so many people I know are already (sometimes just in tiny portions) invested into crypto and it really amazes me. Many don't even have a normal broker account, they just made the leap to crypto currencies as a tool of investment. And the price is just a number dictated by the whales. Can't do much about it as a small fish.

And then just a few days later the price has surged very quickly, while this may seem like good news at the same time it worries me, the price is moving up too fast and the last time this happened we saw an important crash and if this were to happen again when we are so close to the halving this may change the dynamic of the market so much that we could see another low, I hope it does not happen but the possibility is still in play and we cannot ignore it.

Two days left for bitcoin will raise above $10,000 in this month or not, looking with bitcoin trend maybe have chance for bitcoin touch with $10,000 because today bitcoin have been higher price in $9,300 and need $700 for bitcoin back to higher price. I am still not sure if it will reach 10k because there is only 3 days left in January but at least we have tried, and that is more important than reaching, trying shows that people are willing to buy and break the resistance to reach 10k and that means people are still bullish about bitcoin.

Many people started to call for bearish runs after we dropped from 9 thousand to 8.3k levels and said that the run was ending and we are going to see bitcoin falling back to 7k levels again, the fact of bitcoin price not only not dropping but also breaking previous monthly high and going towards the resistance showed people that we are not going into bearish, we are not even going to be stable, we are still bullish and still looking to break above 9.5k levels and reach above 10k.

Damned if it didn't for a couple of days there--I'm not sure what the exact high for the month was, but it was over $9500 and I would have predicted it could have hit $10k by the end of January.  Alas, bitcoin dropped a couple hundred bucks and it's now at $9247 as I write this and I'm fairly certain it won't break $10k by the end of the day.

That wasn't a bad prediction IMO, but it still doesn't make it anything other than a guess.  Plus in the end it was wrong.  Sometimes I find the Speculation section entertaining, but I don't take any of these prognostications seriously--even if they're right.  Some of them have to be, but that doesn't mean anyone knows more than the rest of us. 

It will not reached $10K with less than 24 hours remaining in January 2020, but, we should still be happy with the current price of btc now because it was a significant rise and our expectation that the start is bullish did happen.

This month, btc opened at 7,194.89 and it could end $9K more or less, so it;s really a big gains already.
If we round it to a whole numbers, it's like $2,000 increase in just one month.

I agree. This was a very good prediction. Most predictions i heard in December was pessimistic fro January and February and optimism was reserved fro March.  Lets hope this guy will make more predictions in the future.

Time to take stock! I can say that we are close to 10K, we still have a little time to go over the 10K mark and go higher, but I don't think that this will happen today. But I'm sure that this will happen a little later.

So, today is the last day of January, and Bitcoin did not hit 10K USD but it was too close yesterday, I thought BTC will hit 10k USD within today. Because the way BTC price grew last day, that was really cool to believe the 10K zone is coming. Now I hope within the February month, Btc price surely will hit 10K USD!

The year 2020 have just been starting and I can say that it has been good for Bitcoin. The price of Bitcoin now ranges from $9k-$9,400 but, it is still struggling to maintain its standing combining a decrease and increase in its price over time. I could say that the future of Bitcoin is good should it retain its current standing.

Regrettably, I feel that most of users here are impatient, we are still in the first months of 2020, it is true that Bitcoin is not in a significant progress in this period, there is a little stability of price ( between $9K and $9.5k ) but that's a normally thing, and we can't expect a special develompent in the near future especially during next two month, it my stay at $ 9K  or maybe rise to $10K. Plus, everything is depends on the whales, they controlling Bitcoin. We should deal with each situation even the worst ones otherwise we will lose a lot of money.

I don't think it will progress so fast. We have seen that the crypto market has suddenly increased in a very short time and this is absolutely not good. Although knowing that bitcoin halving is one of the events that has made many people buy more bitcoin, you should know that after halving about 3 - 7 months, it really affects demand. then people start buying more and make the whole market grow. Therefore, around August - October there will be more significant growth. Don't expect too much at this early time. Everything takes time.

We are no longer in the first month of 2020 but still at the very early stages of February I think the increase justifies a support for bitcoin and its price. I wouldn't mind buying some more bitcoin right now if I had some money to invest (I hate paying gas bills on cold months, it is so high) but right now I don't have any, yet if I had some, seeing how the bitcoin goes up during 2020, I would definitely invest.

Going above $10k would be really simple for all of us only if the resistance people removed their orders a bit, if they agreed that bitcoin could be sold higher if they leave, we would keep buying and go higher and they would be able to sell higher as well. It is not always easy to see eye to eye with the sellers and explain them why they would profit as well.

For now, hoping too much is not a problem because prices even continue to get good increases, 10k on February seems to be the next achievement point and this is not something fast because even corrections are always there, the increase is not consistent and the lowest point must be increased because ahead of halving bitcoin at least there will be strong negative sentiment later.

Well, January has come and gone and BTC has not passed 10k level. We are all just speculating and the price might certainly bypass that level this February with the Justin Sun meeting with Waren and the upcoming halving.

Not only in January but it seems that in February either Bitcoin will not reach 10000$. Although we are quite close it seems that this boundary it's not easy to cross. There are positive movements in the market but price is going back and forth and obviously it's hard to get to the phase of continuous growth.
