How ever prediction chart about ethereum during bitcoin still down less possibility for raising up, look with bitcoin today have lower price and I can ask you for betting will be ethereum up without bitcoin have higher price or not? Although 134 days for halving coming maybe ethereum will be higher price when 20 days before halving.

Actually, even though an expert predicted the possibility of a big pump on Ethereum, I am not really sure it will happen exactly. But anyway it is good news for us, especially for Ethereum holders. To be honest, I want to see it will come true along with the launching of Ethereum 2.0. Yeah, Ethereum has a true reason to move up this year.

That only predicts that we have seen the bottom, it contains no prediction that we would see ath in this year. Imho that would be too fast, and even if we pump hard, there will be hard retraces with it.

Ethereum is losing its credibility so even how many people or hodler will say that ethereum is now aat the bottom and will skyrocket soon, i think it wont help. For me ethereum this year will be down 100$.

Maybe it will possible after ethereum 2.0 active until we can't expect anything  good move from ethereum and still crypto market under bad conditions only. but we can't predict the ethereum price thought price chart.

the update of ethereum 2.0 will not only be a reason for big movement of ETH. it can help the price recover slowly but to have big pump there should be large buyers for ETH  we all know that  the demand is the main requirements to have this goals.

Still many possibilities and prediction didn't reach the hope of the investors so I wonder if what will trigger the next hike of prices in Ethereum or other currencies this year.

I can see that most of the big investors are still in sleeping mode, if this investors will likely to wakeup this year 2020 then I am very prepared for it as I have pack already the currencies that I like to hold. We are still at 130$ in ethereum, if we can pass 200$ easily then it is a signal already that there is a big pump in the market.

I'm sure it will have a big pump due to ethereum revolution 2.0 this year if it really happen this year. But i'm not sure it will reach new ATH since last ETH is surpassing BTC in coinmarketcap which is the best days for altcoins. Investors are already losing hope with altcoin right now so i think it wouldn't reach new ATH but a big pump.

Honestly all of us are hoping for a big pump. But whatever the prediction said always remember that prediction is always prediction and no one can say that it will really happen. So for me it is better invest based on your knowledge and stratrgies not in anyone's prediction. And you will only invest at the capital that you are ready to loss because it is very risky.

This is more like motivational analysis to me, we're still two days after new year happens so let's calm and wait for further developments to come. New ATH needs optimum time, that's why determination is really needed as we move forward with our daily task in life. All of these doesn't mean anything, there's a lot of bad news in Ethereum but that did not bring the p[rice to its all-time low, and even this news will not even bring Eth to another high, the series of events that are coming in is the one that eventually will, I have high hopes on Eth, but stilll relies on Bitcoin when it comes to pump.

If BTC reach ATH then ETH can reach ATH. Yes from lawng time we didn’t see ETH moves but I think ETH always follow btc pairs and ETH can't break it.So,if BTC reach 20k$ then we can see ETH to 1.2k$-1.5K$.or if btc stay in same price, then It's hard to see ETH ATH(in my view)

I think it's very difficult to predict the value of ethereum because we are currently still in the bear market and in my opinion the new etherum will experience an increase when bitcoin is pumping. although ethereum will pump after releasing eth version 2.0 but does anyone know when that will happen? and in my opinion the release of eth version 2.0 does not guarantee eth will pump big. I also still have faith that ethereum will pump by 2020 but I don't expect to be too high.

big pump might occur when bitcoin prices can recover to high prices again because ethereum price movements usually follow the movements of bitcoin prices, because if it depends on the development of ethereum I feel it's not very influential.

It's been a while since the last time we've seen a great price of ethereum. I mean, we don't know for sure if another big pump will happen or not.
But nonetheless we're hoping for another great achievement after ethereum 2.0 gets launched. We're still in $129-130 mark. Pretty bad as it is actually.

Very easy to prediction with ethereum price because you just check how bitcoin going, if bitcoin have higher price ethereum allow whit bitcoin price and going up, but when bitcoin down ethereum will be down and nothing to do to invest with ethereum during bitcoin keep with lower price, waiting for ethereum up is the same we are waiting when bitcoin growing up too.

I don't know if that will happen or not, but ethereum has a big chance to increase this year, especially they will release the update for their project. We can hope that updates can push the price to grow, and the first thing that ethereum needs to do is break $200 for the price, so then the price can increase higher. We don't have to trust the news like that, especially if we cannot find the other news that explains more about the ethereum. There will be so many news that will say like that, but the most important thing here is we should prepare for anything that can happen so we can be ready to decide.

It's not always about how bitcoin can recover its price but it's more about how ethereum can bring something big for us. If people said that Ethereum will have positive news, i will believe it.  ;D Actually not means i believe and buy and hold. But i already hold and still hope that maybe ETH POS will make people start to buy it, usually it can make ETH price itself pumped. I am not disagree but why that cryptocrypto expect to be pump? We can discover the new thing that has more use cases than ETH, Is it because that entity was the first born so we need to respect? Ethereum never has a remarkable performance for about 2 years after the bullish 2017. It makes people think that it becoming dead soon and replace by a new one. I agree with you. the current position of all markets is bearish .. so it is very difficult to convince it will pump. but in the picture on Twitter, it shows more than the H4 indicator. So even though it will pump, it won't start anytime soon. except the ethereum 2.0 release schedule comes when the market is bullish. it will allow a high pump.

With staking process there is a large chance that the price might really go up.
But that might not really take long.
Buyers will come to have larger number to stake and that means a sudden pump too.
But afterwards, the case might change. They will try to withdraw and make the ROI.

I too have seen this pattern from past years but this time with the POS updates and developments coming up, we may see good positive uptrend with ETH. New projects are rarely potential these days and the ones which are, not choosing ETH blockchain.

With ETH 2.0 updated in 2020 I also believe that ETH price will definitely reach higher price than 2019 and it may even surpass ATH if in 2020 there is a huge bull run.

As you can see, people here are accumulating and predicting that eth will boom again with an update from the developer, with such a desire and so many accumulations, the demand for sales will be small while the demand for buying will increase, I don't think eth will be able to pump in such conditions, whales are always smart and control of the goods that everyone owns, they only pump when people accumulate little and dumping high. From this perspective, Ethereum will not have a big pump in the near-term stages of the update, until the update expires, which is probably the time for the big pump to come.

Luckily I still got a bit of Eth, and I might be lucky if these were true. I ain't seeing any news about ETH price hype, but I have read somewhere about ETH 2.0, not totally sure if there is a relationship about this claim. Halving this year won't make a difference yet because it will take some time to actually see the bull market. And with the bull market the chance that ETH to grow and start a big pump is possible but don't expect it to happen this year. 2021 is the date that we should be expecting about of the bull run.

Just look at how many months they have to wait before the post halving will take effect. It should be after and not before ethereum update as people are waiting for the result of ethereum 2.0. It looks like they are not buying in the rumour again as the last update of ethereum didn't even bring the bullrun for ethereum. I suspect if the trend has already changed in the past were people are betting a lot in the rumour but it looks like already passed.
The development progress becomes the real proof to make the price of the ethereum to be pumped by speculators.

there is always an opportunity for ethereum to improve and start moving in the best direction. but there are many obstacles that occurred a few months ago with the development of crypto which began not to bring excitement because of many factors, especially bad people who are looking for a momentary profit. so at the moment it affects at least the movement of ethereum. but starting to gradually there will be improvement so that all can be excited as well as erhereum.

New all time high is unlikely this year, in my honest opinion simply because of the fact that the 2017 figures are just out of this world. We probably won't see a return to four digits for Ethereum any time soon.

But with a potential switch to PoS and coinciding with a bullish year of 2020 (Both the halving and the Tokyo Olympics imo will contribute to the sentiment improving drastically within markets), I don't think that it's absurd to claim that ETH will experience significant bullishness.

We'll see if it can break the 0.02 BTC barrier soon, if it does then it has the potential to rally up further for sure.

We were prepared when it dump, so preparing for the pump is not a problem, that time if it happen, I am sure I will dump my ETH that I bought at a very cheap price. There's a lot of time given for us to buy and accumulate and even now at 100+ usd worth per ETH, it's a big steal.

I don't think the demand will increase if there are no something new from ETH this year, ETH is already an old coin like the other so the people who hold it just save it as a payment assets not for investment assets because the price is not so agile compared to other coin that still new which more potential for investment.

It is interesting that ETH pumps often start around this time of year. I'm not sure we can separate ETH from the rest of the market at the moment though; all coins are moving together. We may see a return to more bullish behaviour soon as we have bounced back a few times now from the support levels. There's only so long this can go on before the next resistance point is targeted.

well ethereum Pumped in 2018 when Bitcoin starts to fall hard after the Hype so meaning there is a chance that ETH will grow without the Bull of bitcoin.

Well, it is about time that Ethereum will do some bull run. The last time it made one was during the days when its ATH was reached. After that, Ethereum was never rising even up to half of its previous ATH. I understand that the market has been bad ever since but the price of ETH is too far from the $1,400 ATH. I think it is already good enough if ETH will get back to 4-digit even if it does not create a new ATH yet this year.

if the technical analysis has been done then we just have to wait for the right time, but it must be careful when making investments. so we do have to choose the highest altcoin investment compared to the new altcoin because the profit potential will be better for sure.

The problem for ethereum during the last years is the very weak demand for it due to the lack of trust in the ico market, during those days ethereum had a huge demand because everyone wanted to be part of icos since they thought that was the way to make a lot of money, but since that is over ethereum will have a lot of problems moving on its own and if they want to move on their own they will need to convince future developers to develop their coins above ethereum or they must find another use for ethereum.

Nobody has a contact with ethereum team? I mean I know that must be something rare to have someone you know in the ethereum developer team and actually become friends online and get information out of them and come write here what you learned. That is both very difficult to achieve but also very shady thing to do if you are really friends.

However, if we knew at least one person from the development team we could actually hear about how the new "eth 2.0" thing is going on and we could decide on investing or not. We all know they had some issues with development and bugs before, so all there is left about the price is that if they actually do what they are trying to do now, the price will go up however if they fail that means price will definitely go down or stay same, that is why we need someone from inside to let us know how development is going.

If we could think or even feel that Bitcoin will pump, there is no reason why ETH will never do the same. Ethereum is still depending on Bitcoin movements and it is clear to see the correlation since before. And not only Ethereum will pump but instead to see the entire market will move as well.

Looking at the current price of ethereum, which is far down, I feel unsure if ethereum will reach the ATH price. Maybe after the revolution to ethereum 2.0 there will be an improvement in prices but not soaring as has ever been experienced at the highest prices. I am also not sure whether to supply ethereum from now on, will it bring profits later, because ethereum prices could actually weaken.

I think ETH is not following this slight pump in BTC price simply because of how quick it happened. I think if BTC stays around the same price point or even higher for a few weeks, we'll probably see ETH follow suit. I don't think quick rises in BTC price really have much of an effect on altcoin prices with the way it's been up and down a lot lately. I could be completely wrong, but we'll find out soon enough. Let the price of BTC settle out and give people confidence in that price and see what happens.

I also hope that a large pump will soon occur in eth. However, I have stupid thoughts about eth, is the big pump that happened in 2017 just an ICO trend? Currently crypto market have turn to bullish and i agree that ETH could make a massive pump in 2020. But this only happen when ETH 2.0 release and have to match expectation from the crowd. I believe this event will be the life saver for ETH project or this project will be drop out of top ten altcoin.

Being completely honest I had the same opinion as you, I didn't really thought that the market of cryptocurrencies was going to begin to show any significant movement until we had went through the halving and then the price out of nowhere began to go up in a way that we have not seen in a very long time, while the growth was significant in the bitcoin market we saw some altcoins that literally exploded and gave all those that have been holding those coins huge profits in a single day proving me wrong in the process.

Same thinking, dude. The bearish market that occurred during the past two years on bitcoin makes other cryptocurrency correlated. How strong is one's argument that bitcoin and altcoin are uncorrelated, the fact is that it is highly correlated and I'm sure the rise of altcoin in 2017 is also a boost from bitcoin. 300$ will be the highest price of ethereum once ethereum 2.0 is live. It wont create any hype but atleast the price went up to 300$ for the whole year of 2020.

That's not what I envision to see, ETH is a big project, just like BSV it could also pump.
300 usd happened last year without any hype, maybe there was a little but the delayed of the 2.0 release was really hurting ETH but at least didn't fall back again below $100.. it's actually a nice chance for us to buy more again as if this altcoins market will take place, ETH will moon again.

If anyone in this forum is waiting for a huge bull run in the ETH market, i request everyone to think twice before investing in it, they are going for a complete change in the network protocol and there is a huge possibility of bugs and more over they do not consider the investment side of things which is miners taking care of the network till now. So avoid them as the ICO market it completely dead.

EIP 1559 could be the biggest cause for an ETH pump this year if it gets implemented, and the probability is good.  With EIP 1559 part of the fee is burned, making ETH more or less becomes deflationary.  And it assures that only ETH can be used for the fee, increasing the demand somewhat.  Something to keep an eye on.   

We are all waiting for the way Ethereum hardfork will be carried out. If this time there are no problems and the date is not postponed again, I think Ethereum has a chance for a much bigger price increase than in 2017.

I think that 2.0 and the move to PoS will cause a substantial increase in ETH price. We all know that it's coming - but the fact that it has been delayed before, and that we still don't know precisely when it is coming, combine to suggest that PoS is not yet fully priced-in. ETH price will increase as soon as, but at the current time it is not possible. ETH2.0 will affect the price of ETH so positive, but no exaggeration to say that this update is so far from us. Maybe we can see the best price of ETH till at the end of the year, or in the new year.

With the updated ethereum 2.0, it is very possible that this coin will make a good pump slowly  recovering its price. But i don't think it will make a huge pump this year because we are already in midyear and ethereum is still showing a slowly process of recovery.
