Seeing the world economic conditions, will bitcoin move to all time high if there is a War with Iran ?
Oil and gold prices are already up within last few days. Will Bitcoin will be next?

Chances are there will be a short war but, I do not think the price of Bitcoin will go up. The price of fuel will certainly hit the moon and economically Iran will not survive.

Bitcoin price is not corelated to global economics. It has its own ecosystem.

Why would a war with Iran be good for Bitcoin? ???


Bitcoin isn't positively correlated with crude oil, nor gold. That doesn't bode well for your theory.

US-Iran tensions have caused oil prices to rise in the past and gold is a safe haven asset -- it makes sense why they would rise. But why Bitcoin? If it rises from here, I'd consider it a coincidence.

Iran is not a fool to fight with USA. He knows he cant survive in case he goes on one to one fight with USA. Iran will only launch some small attacks on USA in different countries making sure nothing happens to its territories.
I dont think bitcoin will be the beneficiary in any case only oil will be.

One of the many effective things that can push the price of Bitcoin is uncertainties in the face of turmoils or conflicts. When there is that assumed and real higher demand for anything then there is a big chance that its price will b jacking up. However, this can be short-lived as there is actually no big war that will be occurring between the USA and Iran. These countries right now are very careful not to go into a major conflict with each other. The time is not yet right for that and I am sure that both parties are aware of this. USA is just projecting its power and using available resources to counteract anything it is perceiving to be threat.

I don't think so, I'm not seeing any correlation. Bitcoin hasn't been tested in world war.
And Iran is not that dumb to go full scale war with the United States.

I believe so, as stated, bitcoin's economy is different from fiat money, which means that it wouldn't be affected even if fiat's price skyrocket, but if this war goes large-scale, which I hope it doesn't, it could obstruct progress and technological advance, the same will happen with the internet. And as we all know, bitcoin's heart is in the internet, this could cause bitcoin's price to drop drastically as technology becomes more and more inaccessible.

My point of view is that if Gold is the safest heaven asset, what about bitcoin. Bitcoin is the next new asset or currency in which the world will put their saving when they feel instability in local currencies and therefore Bitcoin should move up, if there are any war tensions in the world which involves US.

I think it has not had an impact on bitcoin, because the use of bitcoin and also the popularity of bitcoin is not like gold and oil which is certainly a different sector from bitcoin. digital assets such as bitcoin may not be affected by the war, because people today assume that this war thinks that fiat money will be worthless so they divert funds to gold.

I think it will have an effect where bitcoin seems to be able to survive when there is a world war, everyone might not feel safe enough to hold gold and let alone cash at that time, but I don't know even even bitcoin had never existed in the second world war, but I think it will be quite influential though a little

We can see some news about the increase in BTC price in IRAN, the only change we need to see if the price in the world market will move up in these coming days. The war will likely break out but there is no assurance about that because those 2 countries are once allies when they killed Saddam Hussein of Iraq. In my opinion right now, this is only something like a role playing scene where they sacrifice some pawns to managed to get some support from their people.

I don't think we are going to have a world war 3 here Iran is not a superpower or they have allies that are willing to wage a global war with them, they will likely retaliate, in a guerilla type of attack but not on a face to face warfare they are no match on that, and I think it will have  a major impact on Bitcoin, Bitcoin will go on moving up only a disruption in its ecosystem, and hacking can have an impact on it.

Oil and gold price rising don't necessarily mean that bitcoins price will grow too after this war is over or if there will ever be a real war between Iran and the USA. Bitcoins price is not dependant on those 2 so we should not expect a pump for bitcoin just because of a war, the local price in Iran will pump  but not the total price exchange price for sure.

I don't think there will be a rise in Bitcoin's price if a war is taking place between the US and Iran. If there is, it is just like what is said in the news, a rise inside Iran or inside the areas where the war is actually taking place. As to the rest of the world, the price would remain the same. This is also what happened in Venezuela or Argentina where the prices of Bitcoin is also very high compared to the rest of the world.

Oil is directly affected because the middle east is where the danger is present. Bitcoin is not coming from there.

Nothing is good from the results of the war, the economy will be critical. I know what you mean about the many demand for bitcoin because of the critical economic situation and how there will be many investors who see bitcoin as the safest asset in the world war because of decentralization. I'm not sure how investors will see world war and how they will secure value? all possibilities can happen.

Recently we dont see war against countries, I expect a form of settling within the 2 countries but may not be soon. There are also indications that the attack was not from USA but his allies, who he showed the support for the attack. It will be dangerous for Americans on ground and some other nationals, there will be a lot of evacuation. Bitcoin is not meant to benefit from war but acquisition of bitcoin can be the form of preservation of one's financial portfolio is time of national crises.  

I don't think a specific war will directly help Bitcoin price. But every time there is a war people question government and their leadership. The same with financial crisis. This causes people to think about the way the world works and some of them then go on to discover Bitcoin. So I think all bad global events ultimately indirectly lead to more Bitcoin adoption as people understand there is a better way to govern. At least as far as money i concerned.

Between Iran and United State I think most wonderful for Iran want to allow and adopted bitcoin and have higher price than bitcoin global price, for United State they never want to allow bitcoin as legal currency payment and never give way for bitcoin become legal currency payment. When Iran become the winner in this war bitcoin become most popular digital currency payment transaction.

First and foremost,  why should you have this mind as a human being living in this world? Why will you think of war happening in Iran? Rational human beings will never think of war happening again. People couldn't use it to survive if they are at war so why would tye price increase?

Man, I hope there's not a war at all but I'm not keeping my hopes up.  I don't know what the fuck Trump was thinking with this move, and it doesn't seem like he's able to even justify it were he so inclined to do so, which he doesn't seem to be.  Unbelievable.

But I don't think bitcoin would be affected one way or another as long as it doesn't escalate into a nuclear conflict.  If that were to happen, we can take all of our bitcoin and flush it down the digital toilet while we're waiting for the missile strikes.  Anything short of that and I don't think we'd see an increase or a decrease in price.  Bitcoin seems to be resilient against world events, but who knows. 

Here's hoping that in 2020:
1) The world doesn't end.
2) There's not a world war.
3) Trump gets impeached.
4) Bitcoin experiences a nice bull market, hopefully around the halving.

War does two things. It makes the currencies of the respective countries weaker and it makes alternative stores of value strong. Gold will for sure become higher, maybe even oil in Iran because the whole Persian gulf which transports oil, will be closed. So supply will be less and demand will drive up prices. But this also depends on how long the war lasts and how big it is.

Well, at the first place why America and Iran will be at war? Maybe there is an issue I'm not updated with the news because of too busy in school works. Anyway, I don't think so that the price of bitcoin will be affected maybe if really war will emerge then bitcoin prices will drop significantly, but I'm not so sure because we will not know what will happen if a war emerge, I'm sure if war will begin maybe the whole world will affected, but we don't want that to happen so we should hope war will never be happened again.

The bitcoins prices are 200-300$ above in last one - two days. So you are saying that this increase is also due to the IRAN - US tension. If you believe this is because of this crisis, then who do you think who is buying the bitcoins ?  The Iranians ? or the US people ? or the rest of the world  :D

I really do not see any link between bitcoin prices and Iran crisis.

If I am an Iranian, I will convert some of my assets to Bitcoin, it's a safe haven for me, I can go anywhere with my asset on my ledger or paper wallet, but definitely the war has nothing to do with Bitcoin's price, the member's optimism that they kept for the whole 2019 will make Bitcoin surge in 2020, Bitcoin is now up $300 I hope there will be no looking back this time.

Its funny to think that iranians are the reason why bitcoin increase right now.  But Icant deny that a war will have effect to the currency of one country. It is pretty good to go with bitcoin because the government doesnt have control about it.

Surely if the war continues and become bigger and bigger this bitcoin technology is going to be useless just like in the past wars a lot of things will not going to matter anymore and the focus is going to be in war or more on having a higher firepower or troops for most of the countries that involve this bitcoin surely will be useless if we all die.

There won't be a formal war. There'll be an ever intensifying series of proxy conflicts and destructive incidents. That induces shocks and uncertainty into markets. We still can't really tell whether they're closely correlated to BTC but a general decrease in confidence won't be very helpful I should think.

We cannot really say so yet, the War could just possibly light up destructions from different countries around the world and as an outcome, it should be expected that many wouldn't be able to invest anymore or experience casualties in terms of their finances. The spike in oil prices is connected with the US embargo on Iran. It has nothing to do with the possible war and nothing to do with Bitcoin as Bitcoin is not traded for oil and the other way round.
I expect Bitcoin to remain in a steady bullish uptrend for the following months and it's going to happen with or without Iran. All that news about Bitcoin trading at premium in Iran is fake.

Just imagine the worst case scenario and you will know that bitcoin itself is worthless if there's no access to the internet. No malls, stores are closing etc., i wouldn't want myself to be in that position nor placed in that country because having a war is.a complete chaos.

I have seen some threads about this price spike in Bitcoin in Iran, but it seems it was made by just few people that came up with an agreement. Well, we couldn't say it so but if wars continues to rage on and would likely to start may be there might be an indirect effect as the economy of such country will surely be affected. The thing is we ain't know yet if the effect is going to hook up the price or dragged down.

It will depend on the scope of the war if it arise. Imagine a III world war which never include the usage of nukes between the countries, there will be more possibilities for Bitcoin to surge and it impact felt. Almost all the government involves into the war would like to buy bitcoin to have access to make any purchase just for the war and to avert sanctions from other unions that may be against their move. Bitcoin will be an alternative to avert sanctions unlike before.

Think of it in this way. There is another world war because of this IRAN tension. A destructive war would mean that banks, paper currencies and gold can be destroyed but blockchain will survive because of its decentralize nature. No one can destroy the bitcoins even in the war, so does not it make it the best investment ?

Indeed, Bitcoin is not correlated with most assets in the market, but it has been promoted in recent years as a safe-haven asset. So maybe it's just an attempt by people who promote bitcoin as a safe-haven asset to maintain that narrative.

Actually there have been reports of huge amount of money being used to buy bitcoins as reported but i don't think the amount that is bought from this country alone is enough to cause a major rise. Halving is definitely a pitch to look at with the rising of bitcoin price.

Bitcoin definitely isn't a safe haven asset like gold. Its monetary properties may warrant descriptions like "digital gold" but as an asset, it's far more speculative. I also think that the relationship between gold and oil in relation to bitcoin is minimal.If we compare the capitalization of oil, gold and bitcoin, then bitcoin is a drop in the sea!

Well we may see an effect though it would likely be very minimal. You're right, bitcoin isn't anchored on any of these two countries' economy. What's scary is the price of oil. Surely the arab countries won't just take things in stride and watch what happens. Things are escalating pretty quickly so let's just see in the next few weeks or months.

If there is a greater threat on US like a devastating level then we may see an upward trend for Bitcoin as there are more US citizen who hold crypto and want to move their assets in crypto compared to Iran. War wont be much helpful in moving Bitcoin up.

Bitcoin price on Coinmarketcap for today is 7,880 USD.
Meanwhile on Localbitcoins, seller in Iran sell 1 BTC for 1,110,000,000 IRR (26,300 USD).
More than 3X higher than the actual bitcoin price.

If there's threat but US will not allowed that to happen, they will force anyone who's going to try to go against them and showed everything that they've got, there's no small country that will do the worse thing like that and make the people suffered. There are a huge possibilities that bitcoin's price will move up when there will be a war between Iran and U.S. Actually, bitcoin has reach it's price to $8K today, so i think Iran is the reason why bitcoin improves it's price today. If there is any effect it should be minor so do not expect a bull run out of this since bitcoin does not have anything to do with that war, take a look at oil, whenever there is a significant war or the risk of a war in a country that has a lot of oil the price has a tendency to go up, and in this case it makes complete sense since in a war the enemy has the desire to take control of the oil or at least to destroy that infrastructure to deprive the country from that valuable resource.

Armed conflicts always affect financial markets. Bitcoin has not yet been tested in such a huge military tension. I think that it will definitely affect its price, but not so strong to push it to the new ATH.

That said, however, I don't think that you should necessarily attribute a lot of the bullishness in recent days to the prospect of a war. Bitcoin prices' biggest influencer is still the cycles that it follows in distinct, 4 year patterns, governed by the halving. Disturbances and shocks in the real economy never really affected it as much as regulatory news and/or these cycles that I talked about earlier.

So yes, there will be a short term impact, but over the long run what dictates prices is still market cycles and fundamentals.

Not much in my opinion. First, there is no real demand fory cryptocurrencies for Iran, and so a war won't make people instantly look at Bitcoin as a safe haven. Second, it 'might' only affect the prices that significant when the war escalates on another level, which nobody wants, but might increase the demand to hold Bitcoin. Third, when the war would prolong, on a global scale, that is to say it is a world war, then all economies of involved countries would slow down, and Bitcoin's trading volumes might be lower.

But you are only thinking on the value of bitcoin in terms of dollars you are not actually thinking on the utility of bitcoin, bitcoin could be very useful in those difficult circumstances because it could allow you to store your wealth in a way that is very difficult to notice, it is true that if you are in a war torn country it is going to be very difficult to spend your bitcoin but there will always be someplace where you could have access to the Internet and then you will be capable of using your bitcoin.

I think just bullshit moment with both country to make drama and give bad reputation with economic crisis, maybe when this issues have ended they will make new way with their problem war and make economic never stable.

We saw a good pump in the hot time between the USA and Iran, I don't know why the price was increased at that Wartime. Though there is no possibility of war between the USA and Iran anymore, but if it happens then I think BTC price will increase to high, it's because maybe people only look at that war news, they stop selling Bitcoin.

Bitcoin market value actually went high in reaction to the almost war between the United States of America and Iranian government over the killing of Soleimani which was orchestrated by the United States of America government, but we should not expect all time high as a result of the trouble between the United States of America and Iran.

Last article I saw was about a correlation between Bitcoin and gold, however people might disagree and point out rather large differences between the two.   I generally have to agree but only to a limited extent, both are inverse to the dollar and both could rise if Dollar were compromised in some way.
   The part that surprises me now is the idea a war or conflict of some kind in the middle east is somehow disruptive to the Dollar.   Since Iran is subject to sanctions, why would this raise BTC and gold and I can only think that both are alternatives to dollar and sanctions are levied largely via that dollar central control I guess.

The dreaded Iran and US war, which was more like an imagination rather than an actual possibility, has been over. And Bitcoin is rising very fast.  The tension between the two countries has already subsided. And Bitcoin has just made an ATH in two months.

There is more discussion about the price movement associated with the war and other economic issues prevailing around the globe. Particularly the war tension is much discussed, and if there happens a war surely it'll affect the countries directly while there'll be impact felt over each and every market. The market already rose when the Iran attacked the US base in Iran and both the countries were in war of words in those times btc started rising upwards and crossed 8600 though then when the tension come down prices did slashed a bit and again its back to those levels.

I don't think so, bitcoin price may be affected lightly by the current conflict between the US and Iran but I don't think it will be the main factor that can make bitcoin price go up. The current conflict may result in war, I just hope it won't escalate too much because it will mean something and a lot will suffer, anyways, the current conflict is not the trigger that made the price go up now, it could be the supply and demand of bitcoin most especially that bitcoin is near to its limit.

Well, why America and Iran will be at war in the first place? Perhaps there's a problem that I'm not updating with the news due to being too busy in school work. Anyway, I don't think so that Bitcoin's price might be affected if war really emerges then Bitcoin's prices will drop significantly, but I'm not so sure because we won't know what's going to happen if a war breaks out, I'm sure if war might start affecting the whole world, but we don't want that to happen so we should hope war won't happen again.

in my opinion even though there is no bitcoin war it will still pump high. if we look at the bitcoin chart in 2017 bitcoin can reach ATH $ 20,000 after being reduced by half and at that time there was no war. so in my opinion maybe the conflict between Iran and America does have an impact on the price of bitcoin but not too big. Even without Iran and America conflicts I am optimistic that the price of bitcoin will continue to rise.

In the past whenever a conflict happened bitcoin was not affected by it but now it reacted similar to what we saw in the market of oil and gold and this is important, this means bitcoin is slowly getting relevant in the eyes of investors and it means that the same will happen under similar circumstances and this is good for us since we could make some easy money investing in bitcoin as soon as another conflict like that seemed to be in the verge of erupting.

American government and their ministry of external affairs decides that to stop the war against Iran. Actually they were planned to give trouble for the petroleum resource there and you do that people who over getting petroleum energy from Iran will get the the backlogs in transport and in petroleum products. Now America already succeeded in that so hopefully nothing will be going to happen. I am sure this word will not cause any positive or negative effect over cryptocurrencies.

I can't see a huge effect on it on crypto. Because in the first place, they are not using crypto for this war that could make a change unless if they are. Their war isn't about market competition and economic system but this is all about power.
And besides, if we look into the market status nowadays, we don't even feel such change. And therefore, we could say that this conflict won't bother to crypto. Nothing has could change as still a lot of countries giving their support on crypto.
