I don't think that war would be good for crypto at all.
People couldn't use it to survive if they are at war so why would tye price increase?

Chances are there will be a short war but, I do not think the price of Bitcoin will go up.

Man, I hope there's not a war at all but I'm not keeping my hopes up.  I don't know what the fuck Trump was thinking with this move, and it doesn't seem like he's able to even justify it were he so inclined to do so, which he doesn't seem to be.  Unbelievable.

But I don't think bitcoin would be affected one way or another as long as it doesn't escalate into a nuclear conflict.  If that were to happen, we can take all of our bitcoin and flush it down the digital toilet while we're waiting for the missile strikes.  Anything short of that and I don't think we'd see an increase or a decrease in price.  Bitcoin seems to be resilient against world events, but who knows. 

Here's hoping that in 2020:
1) The world doesn't end.
2) There's not a world war.
3) Trump gets impeached.
4) Bitcoin experiences a nice bull market, hopefully around the halving.

War does two things. It makes the currencies of the respective countries weaker and it makes alternative stores of value strong. Gold will for sure become higher, maybe even oil in Iran because the whole Persian gulf which transports oil, will be closed. So supply will be less and demand will drive up prices. But this also depends on how long the war lasts and how big it is.

Well, at the first place why America and Iran will be at war? Maybe there is an issue I'm not updated with the news because of too busy in school works. Anyway, I don't think so that the price of bitcoin will be affected maybe if really war will emerge then bitcoin prices will drop significantly, but I'm not so sure because we will not know what will happen if a war emerge, I'm sure if war will begin maybe the whole world will affected, but we don't want that to happen so we should hope war will never be happened again.

If I am an Iranian, I will convert some of my assets to Bitcoin, it's a safe haven for me, I can go anywhere with my asset on my ledger or paper wallet, but definitely the war has nothing to do with Bitcoin's price, the member's optimism that they kept for the whole 2019 will make Bitcoin surge in 2020, Bitcoin is now up $300 I hope there will be no looking back this time.

Its funny to think that iranians are the reason why bitcoin increase right now.  But Icant deny that a war will have effect to the currency of one country. It is pretty good to go with bitcoin because the government doesnt have control about it.

Surely if the war continues and become bigger and bigger this bitcoin technology is going to be useless just like in the past wars a lot of things will not going to matter anymore and the focus is going to be in war or more on having a higher firepower or troops for most of the countries that involve this bitcoin surely will be useless if we all die.

There won't be a formal war. There'll be an ever intensifying series of proxy conflicts and destructive incidents. That induces shocks and uncertainty into markets. We still can't really tell whether they're closely correlated to BTC but a general decrease in confidence won't be very helpful I should think.

We cannot really say so yet, the War could just possibly light up destructions from different countries around the world and as an outcome, it should be expected that many wouldn't be able to invest anymore or experience casualties in terms of their finances. Also, America contributes a lot to the crypto world and considering the fact that they are the one who ignited the war, lots of changes would happen not only in crypto but also in the world system or economy. The spike in oil prices is connected with the US embargo on Iran. It has nothing to do with the possible war and nothing to do with Bitcoin as Bitcoin is not traded for oil and the other way round.
I expect Bitcoin to remain in a steady bullish uptrend for the following months and it's going to happen with or without Iran. All that news about Bitcoin trading at premium in Iran is fake.

Just imagine the worst case scenario and you will know that bitcoin itself is worthless if there's no access to the internet. No malls, stores are closing etc., i wouldn't want myself to be in that position nor placed in that country because having a war is.a complete chaos.

Iran is not a fool to fight with USA. He knows he cant survive in case he goes on one to one fight with USA. Iran will only launch some small attacks on USA in different countries making sure nothing happens to its territories.
I dont think bitcoin will be the beneficiary in any case only oil will be.

They will revenge but in something that not to kill maybe revenge in oil price hike and also to banned americas to enter on thier territory.  Because like you said Iran will not declare war because many people will risk life because of this.

I have seen some threads about this price spike in Bitcoin in Iran, but it seems it was made by just few people that came up with an agreement. Well, we couldn't say it so but if wars continues to rage on and would likely to start may be there might be an indirect effect as the economy of such country will surely be affected. The thing is we ain't know yet if the effect is going to hook up the price or dragged down.

It will depend on the scope of the war if it arise. Imagine a III world war which never include the usage of nukes between the countries, there will be more possibilities for Bitcoin to surge and it impact felt. Almost all the government involves into the war would like to buy bitcoin to have access to make any purchase just for the war and to avert sanctions from other unions that may be against their move. Bitcoin will be an alternative to avert sanctions unlike before.

Think of it in this way. There is another world war because of this IRAN tension. A destructive war would mean that banks, paper currencies and gold can be destroyed but blockchain will survive because of its decentralize nature. No one can destroy the bitcoins even in the war, so does not it make it the best investment ?
