That's because you need to be a Jr. Member or above to post images.

Or you can pay to become a Copper Member and bypass this limitation: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104)

At least 30 activity and 1 merit to be Jr Member
Activity can be calculate by

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

How many posts til Jr member?
30+ Posts, 1 and a half month period and 1 merit from other members.
You can preview the images in your recent post history (Show the last posts of this person (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2665123;sa=showPosts)) link in your profile.

But the "Trump" image on this thread can't be displayed for some reason:

It's either you rank up your account to jr. member which needs 1 merit and 30 activity points (explain in previous replies) or buy a copper membership in here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote).

I did try the link provided by the op but same result. Ranking to jr. member may take longer than 1 and half month if didn't even get a single merit. 1 month and half month may be enough for activity points but if merit not sure how long will get 1. Maybe op can get it sooner. I screenshot the image and uploaded to imgur here's the result. I think it's because of the image size that is why it's error but this one I only screenshot without the black background.

Or the OP (after paying to become a Copper Member) can read this post,

[Guide] How to Add image on Bitcoin Talk Post? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4938495.0).

Guideline on posting images (with size adjustments), hyperlinks (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3974517.0).

After you'll reach Jr. Member or pay for Copper Membership like TryNinja explained, you will also need to use BBCode for the image to appear on the forum.
For this you will need to put the image link between this code:
Code:
[img]YOUR_IMAGE_LINK[/img]
(Tip: There is a dedicated button "Insert Image" on the 2nd raw of the editor.)

Create an account and upload the image on Imgur. Imgur allows you to resize the image in their settings. Of course, you need to purchase a Copper membership or become Jr. Member before.

You can also use this code:
Code:
[img width=100]image link here[/img]
Instead of 100, you can add 200, 300 or any number you like.

tbct_mt2 explains it in more details here > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3974517.0

Save on the Copper membership and just be helpful generally without focusing on the Merit point. Sometimes members will be helpful enough to post them (from your link) on your behalf.

Once you've earned your first Merit and ranked up, you're good to go. Personally I don't feel it's worth it unless you're actively promoting some service(s) or product(s) without going through the whole process.
