Avoid those advises that are telling to you buy this or buy that. Still make your own choice, you can hear what they say about such coin but it's still the decision of yours which will make sense. Invest to the coin that you really have studied and did a research because if you don't, you are blindly investing.
And when you lose, you will look for somebody to blame.

Maybe the best investment in 2020 still in bitcoin because no matter what, bitcoin still leading the crypto market and bitcoin still has the highest price than the other coins. But we cannot close our eyes from investing in altcoin because of some altcoin will increase too than the other altcoins. If you want to invest in altcoin, you can choose from the top 10-20 coins list, so I think that will have a big possibility to increase in the future. But remember that the altcoin cannot directly increase because the altcoin follows with bitcoin price moves.

Bitcoin is a SAFE hold, but it wont yield the biggest ROI, small cap projects will. There's a lot of risk involved with low cap projects though, which you must accept if you want to invest in these.

No one should dispute the fact that bitcoin is the best so far, but the presence of other altcoin when low or high will go s long way in reducing certain pressure on bitcoin, though bitcoin's aim is to be the world currency but considering the hunters, some will have to deal with those altcoin and that will help bitcoin hunter have more profit. Then, all those altcoin can also get better by competition. They will also not allow others to relent in improving.

We all know those coins can bring amazing profits the issue is the risk, are you willing to invest in those coins knowing that even if you can get a 10x return relatively quickly there is a 95% chance that you are going to lose your money? To me you are just gambling if you do something like that, that kind of risk is completely unacceptable, it is better to invest in bitcoin and in some altcoins like ethereum that is currently outperforming bitcoin.

I think it's best to stay away from any new projects for the time-being, at least until the market stablizes. I really don't think there are too many truly groundbreaking projects that are currently in the works and still have a low market capitalization.

It would be wisest to just stick with tried and tested assets, ideally those with around a mid-range market cap ($100m - $1b). These have performed the best in recent weeks, and are likely to continue that same trajectory.

With that said, I'd start looking at staking coins as a strong bet for 2020, especially with all the recent exchange integrations for these.

I agree with you, if you really want to invest in altcoin, then you must invest in altcoin top 100 coinmarkercap, because the altcoin certainly has a volume and the price will increase, so you will not be hard to sell and get profit from investing in the altcoin.

There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the best investment option in the crypto world, as this year Bitcoin halving is coming so there will have a bullish run on it and whenever bull run come for Bitcoin that will affect on the whole crypto industry! So, I would suggest everyone invest in bitcoin blindly! Investing on top altcoins another good way of making profits in the crypto industry! For that, I don't follow only the top rank coins rather I prefer ETH, ETC, BNB, XTZ, ATOM, TRX, LINK, ICX, XMR and so on!

Try to invest with top coins like BTC Bitcoin , Ethereum , TRX- TRON, Doge, try to avoid new project until market stabilized, do some good research if you vow to invest in new project !

Focus on blue chip projects which has big volume even though they have low marketcap. Sometime in order to win big on trading, you just need to focus on finding this hidden gem. The technique here is look for low supply coin that has considerable volume and also pick a project listed on big exchange.

Liquidity is important if your planning to invest with new altcoins. If youre joining bounty and airdrop campaigns then sell it off if the value is good dont retain it on your wallet if the abovementioend criteria is lack on their project.

I just don't agree with " must hold " because this method is very risky and all people have good psychology when down trend in long term period. Popular coins ( bitcoin, eth, xrp ) still become favorite in every activity but with many correction this time " hold " become useless. Even many people say market in green zone but halving will break all prediction, split will reduce value and volume will goes down without announcement.

Bitcoin should be your highest allocation on your portfolio no matter what. It is the lesser risk on all of cryptocurrency, if it doesnt gonna go mainstream then all altcoins would follow. But its much better to diversify your portofolio by owning some top altcoins, I wouldn't prefer the new one as the risk is so high.

Cheap altcoins can still bring huge profits, for example Hologen (HOT) project that's been around for two years now and still very cheap, Tron is a top altcoin and still very cheap as well, these coins can bring better profits because of their use cases, if you can do some research you will find better coins

Therefore, investing in a new project at this stage is quite risky for me.

I do not really think that most of the coins would now offer us the opportunity to buy them at cheap prices because some of the coins like ETH already have been moved above the resistant which would not make them run for support again. For me it is better to invest on the one who is bringing larger network adoption. And yes it was bitcoin. I am not saying that Bitcoin will surely hit a bull run but the thing is that it is safe to invest on something that is familiar to everybody and brings mass support compared to other alts that has much lower network.

I agree with everyone that we should focus on investing into top coins that are more trusted and we know what they are doing, all the other smaller ones that are uncertain and not guaranteed are going to be extra risk that we should not try to take on since even the top coins are very risky stuff but at least have a higher chance of being loved by the community and do better. For example bitcoin has dropped a ton since the all time high price right?

But it is only 50% down now, but looking at other coins there is literally 90%+ dropped coins which would require a ton more profit to recover. In the end putting money to top of the top coins would guarantee you not losing as much as the smaller ones, maybe not going to make 100x neither but at least not gonna lose 90%+ neither.

Probably hard to find a project any more decentralized than BLOCK. So keep an eye on this one fellas. Been on the run as of lately, pretty much because the devs keep delivering, and people seem to wake up to the fact that you can earn a TON of money off decentralized trading fees in the very near future.

I am not really into altcoin as of now. You must always consider the events that is coming before you are going to invest in a specific coin. Instead of investing in altcoins, why not invest on bitcoin? It will for surely going to make your money triple after the halving. We all know that it will for surely gonna rise up because it will lessen the supply by half.

one of the main reasons there is a percentage of the profit that can be obtained if premises with little capital if we invest in bitcoin. we know the price of bitcoin is very expensive if we buy it with a small capital I think the profit we can get is also very small. although we can see the graph of bitcoin trading continues to increase. when we have big capital of course bitcoin is the best choice and the fastest way to get profit.

Not sure what had changed suddenly in 2020 as you are very much concern about the year whereas I feel we are good and no big opportunity raised just in this year. I mean what we were doing in 2019, we may do same thing in 2020 as well. This is because no major thing changed in crypto space which means we can simply do what we are familiar with.

But, there is a game changer in 2020 which will happen by end of May month. Yes, I just talk about halving event of bitcoins. It is a scheduled one hence people and investor will predict well in advance and catch all the cheaper prices some time back itself hence we do not need to wait till the time of halving as nothing may happen as per last 2 halving.

Being selective in choosing cryptocurrency is very important. It will be very fatal if you do not have fundamental and technical analysis, surely you will only be carried away by FUD, HYPE, and FOMO currents. Bitcoin does provide a good opportunity, but altcoin also has the same opportunity if we are able to analyze it, so it's better to take advantage of the opportunities available from BTC and altcoin top. Yes If I were the OP , I will only invest to this well well known exchange ,if there will be conducting some IEO in a new project . Because this exchange example binance, is very strict in accepting new coins therefore if new projects are being allowed and get listed meaning they are having good potential ones and it will be having a good trading value soon.

except you want to take high risk, I won't advise anyone to take any altcoin that is newly listed especially on some of the exchange platforms that have been tag not to be good. Almost 99.9% of any token being listed always trade below the token sales price without no assurance that the price will even return back to where it started from. There are still many altcoins such as ETH, BNB, EOS, XRP that have great prospect especially now that the bitcoin market seems to have risen. It is better to invest on these altcoin than considering investing in shitcoins that lack solid project backup.

you said top 20 but then you only recomend 4 coins but hey i also like those 4 coins that you said and ofc my favorite is the legendary bitcoin followed by etherium  .  i have xlm on the past but i dropped it and never came back  then i lately overwhelmed with litecoin  .  investment advice for 2020 will be a little tougher compare to previous advices knowing that 2020 is now being known to be the year of cryptos   . its hard to decide if you sell now or wait more and its hard to pick coins because all are pumping  .

I think Bitcoin is the best option for the long-term investment on the cryptocurrency market. If you want to add more risky assets to your portfolio, you can choose some top altcoins as they likely to show a bigger growth than BTC.

In this year I am not too focused on altcoin. I only care about the situation of Bitcoin and ETH because I have only invested in them since 2019. Altcoin for me is a scam so I have no interest in investing my money in them.

I could not agree more with you,,, we all know who come to crypto that this is a very high risk vehicle and extremely volatile asset. Yet still there are some people who think they can lower their risk and put everything in baskets. Ask Galaxy Digital, the world's biggest crypto fund, how they did in 2018 (70% loss). These were experts too. And they lost money. So the lesson is, advice is advice, but make your own decisions with money you must consider gone.

But for now BTC often grows well in all markets, so it doesn't hurt to hold a little BTC in the long run and the rest in some altcoins that are already really strong, because the market is currently in a very good condition.

The only investment advice that we should remember are,
"Invest only what you could afford to lose" and "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" .
This is the advice that is often ignored and result to losing so much investment or money.

I am of the opinion that we should not totally annul investing in altcoins. If some of the new altcoins in the space today, had the opportunity of coming on board when the old ones were launched, they would have done better. Well, the old ones are better now, but that does not mean that technically, they are better than the new ones. I think he can choose the top 10 coin list and then analyze each coin so he can find what coin that can increase, although that will be difficult for him to find the right coin.  Ethereum went up a lot, everyone was expecting a later stage bull from ethereum so I would say it is not a guaranteed investment anymore. We knew it would go up and thats why it was a good investment back in the day but now that it is already high, do we still think it will go up or do we think that it already went up and it may not go up any more? Profit in this 2020 is really difficult comparing it to the past years when it comes to trading in the market. I think I don't really recommend investing in altcoins since it could be really difficult to gain profits in many tokens.

I think some popular altcoins could really be profitable like ETH, XRP, BCH, etc. other than that it will be a hard profit. Still, I think bitcoin still the number one when it comes to profit and surely you are not going to lose money when you invest in bitcoin (there will be no losses if you are not going to sell your bitcoin). Also volatility the market price could easily recover from dump since the demand in demand is already high.

I think invest after halving event is really recommended, split can make market change direction, if your prediction wrong you could be bankrupt. There's no problem with any investment strategy, you can choose old/ new coin because all have the same risk and we only need to reduce it. I believe investor should have their own style and let his skill grow up natural and normal, don't push too hard because you only get stress and never get the real profit.

Looking for altcoin in my opinion can search by rankings in coinmarketcap. Coins with large transaction volumes can be an option because they have a large amount of liquidity and community. By holding altcoin in the top 30 coin marketcaps, I think the liquidity factor is not a problem and for profit potential, it depends on the project's performance in producing products

 I think most altcoins have little to no use and will vanish in time... nevertheless there are some that will rise to the top 100, but unfortunately it will be just a handfull in a few thousands, so, that kind of investment offers a very high risk, for a prespected high reward...

It's better to go to the with coins that has a active development progress. In my opinion if it's really worth to invest in a coin just like ETH, okex or huobi but it's not for EOS, NEO and another old smartcontract platform as they are getting lack of progress. EOS can't even run voice on its billion blockchain.

Like the old times, I both hold alts and bitcoin. To be able to get both, I am joining bounties that pays btc and then after that project, I will join another project but the one that pays altcoin. İndeed l do absolutely agree with your statement on that, it is so risky to invest in altcoins. But anyway as you above mentioned there are always risk in every coin, we can say the risk is a part of the crypto-world. However, l believe that there are still some altcoins like top altcoins, which are always profitable. For long term investment, top altcoins are the best choice in my mind.
