Thanks for setting up it again at SwC @foma and thanks for that additional prize pool too. I guess I'll register later on at the platform and to those who are interested especially those that afraid about the KYC then don't be worried SwC is really a cool casino and they are not that strict. Hoping this time we'll get more players because the last time we are only 6 players. Can't wait for a flop again with these amazing players!

Every time I see this post makes me feel I should make the effort but I have tough working shifts and this time it is a Sunday for me so I have to sit this one out,,, unless I can find a way to sneak in some time on mobile! Problem is if I keep sneaking time I will probably need to ask a partner to cover for me.

Only 6 players the last round? What happened to the 1st round was that not even more?

First tournament was held at Sportsbet and technically it was more players, but some of them were afk, so only around 6 were actively playing iirc. Lets hope, we will get a good core of regular players.

Yikes, I really want to join this one but i'm afraid that I might not be able to play right on time. If I am able to use some of my time to play poker then I would join no doubt. I just played online poker the other day but only less players and it's only free roll and if I did spend money to buy in then there's not much player in it compare to free rolls match.

FYI you need earn at least 1 krill (SwC's rakeback program, see here (https://swcpoker.eu/post/krill-rewards-program)) before you're allowed to chat at the tables.

i just want to throw that out there since private games are a lot more fun when everyone can chat. just play a few raked micro stakes hands before the game and you should be all set. ;)

There are likely many who play poker but noone really wants to play a small private game for barely any money. 8$ prize pool is not enticing anyone.

I thought it was originally announced that there was a .001 buyin? Maybe I just seen the .001 donation to the pool idk.

If the OP wants to send me the password I may play but I'd be more interested in a .005 buyin game or .0025 just to give the winner or winners some cash.

0.001 is the buy-in, so the price pool is of course bigger. The more people register, the bigger the price pool.

The buy-in was chosen and agreed upon, to give everyone a chance of participating without having to spend a fortune. I would be fine with a higher buy-in, but to attract more players, I think it is fine for now. Maybe there could be some high-roller tournaments in the future ;)

I guess for most people, including me, it's not about making profits, but more the fun aspect to play some poker with users from this forum.

Having fun is ok but with very little money on the line I dont think people play good poker. Just donkey and pray.

it is a 0.001 BTC buy-in. with 5 players, the prize pool stands at 0.005 BTC. (+ the 0.001 BTC i'm paying the winner)

i wish we could run a GTD tourney but we're just a few people running a friendly game. buwaytress may be adding 0.0025 BTC to the pool too, waiting for confirmation on that.

I'm pretty sure I am in. I will register that day, if I can't make it in my registration fee will be sent as a bonus. I'm doing this so I don't put dead chips on the table. Probably 75/25 between first and second.

If I can play that also means I'll be at home and able to screencapture the tournament which could make for some fun later on.

@yahoo you're not wrong but the nice thing is this brings in players if all skill level. It can make it hard to play good poker but I've also seen I believe betwrong have strong consistent showings playing solid poker.

I'd love to see us with something like 20+ players for a good time. This also reminds me I've been meaning to check out some of their other tournaments just for something new; wouldn't hurt to be able to chat as well.

After reading all the comments on this thread and another one dedicated to the previous tournaments, I have a feeling that all of us would agree on 0.0025 buy-in.

We are wondering why do we have so few participants each time, but maybe yahoo62278 is right in saying that good poker players can be discouraged by too small prize pool.

I propose to raise the buy-in to 0.0025 BTC next time.

What do you guys think about this?

By the way, I just got registered for this Sunday's tourney and we now got a total of 6 players but hoping we can get more since there are still 3 more days to go before we roll.

I am good with it and we'll see if this will really attract more players, we'll never get a result unless we try. Good suggestion by yahoo62278.

Let me try to play for first time, but  for honest i doubt that i will play with such amounts. I'm here not to make money, just to spend some time with fun. The same with many other here i think.

This is a private fun tournament and though some money is involved, this is not supposed to be an event to just look for your own financial benefits. You can think of it as kind of socialzing in times of social distancing due to Corona ;D So you can judge for yourself, if it's appropriate to join with multiple accounts ;)

I play poker for fun, not only this time, but always. I myself rarely buy tickets worth more than $3, and after playing hundreds of games on SwC Poker my Krill Wave is still "Baby Seal" there. :)


Yeah, maybe by renaming it to “Quarantine Poker Tournament” we could draw more attention to it. :)

It's actually against SwC policy to play in multiple accounts I believe. If you are caught you risk losing all the funds in both(or more accounts) and having all accounts banned.

Multiple players in the same home are welcome to play at SwC Poker, but not at the same cash tables, tournaments, or sit & gos. This is from their house rules.

Since most users have their avatar and sig space spoken for, would all in the tourney agree to let the winner have all losers make a message for losers PM space? For example if I won you'd all have to put yahoo62278 owns me in poker. Or something along those lines. Nothing derogatory or ridiculous.

I have played some Cash Game in the last days to unlock the chat feature and get accustomed to the UI. Saw Iv4n on the tables making big money ;D Software/Connection is very stable, suffered no lags or disconnection. The button arrangement is a bit strange in web version, since they are positioned left hand. And the chat window is overlapping with the table, which is inconvenient:

I would recommend using the client for playing, since this is more like one is used to in other poker sites.

Unfortunately there is not a lof players. Tried to play a Sit&Go, but it takes ages to fill up :P

Can't come guys. I'm a bit under the weather and have small ones also unwell. No I don't think it's COVID or whatever, just normal seasonal flu, but I definitely will get dagger eyes from certain people if I play poker while this is unfolding haha...

i got crippled on a set vs set hand. Steamtyme slow played a flopped 999, i hit 222 on the turn. naturally i called his all-in. i never recovered after that. i think i got knocked out 10th after short stack shoving KT vs KJ.

i'll check back later today to see how things turned out. 1st place gets an extra 0.002 BTC (half from me and half from @buwaytress).

i don't recognize the current 1st and 2nd place. (ceehe and ElGambino) too bad. if an unknown player wins, we'll have to send the extra winnings via p2p transfer on SwC.

Damn that set over set was brutal figmentofmyass. Before I knew what you had, I figured strong A or some strong pocket pair I turned to the wife and said "I'm going to feel bad for this hand".

In the end i couldn't hold, figured I had the strongest hand with my pair of Jacks but the flush draw got there. GG all.

I did get 4 clips 2 at 15 minutes each. One over an hour and then 20 minutes until I got eliminated. I'll get them on youtube in the next day or so hopefully.

To save some time for tyKiwanuka, the hand you said you would check the video I had 88, I believe it was a 10 high flop.
Early on when I re-raised you  on that river I had the nut flush. It was 2 hearts on the flop and a 3rd on the turn I believe.

Overall I'm glad I managed to last for more than one hour. It was a great game, guys!
