As we have witnessed an unexpected dump when everything was going smooth most of the altcoin's value has dropped as well, but this can be utilised as one more opportunity for those who missed out to invest before the previous pump. We are all aware that the value of Bitcoin will certainly raise but at the same time not all of us can afford to invest into Bitcoin hence some of us choose altcoins to invest rather han Bitcoin but which altcoin do you think will be a the right choice ? I will stick to Ethereum and TRON, kindly share your choices.

I would refrain from investing too much in alt-coins. I think the majority of your portfolio should be in BTC since its the most probable to still exist in 5 years time. If you were to invest them just invest in the top 20 alt-coins on the coin marketcap. Many of them are still pretty cheap. There are also IEO coins like Binanace Coin and LEO which are great investments as long as the exchanges don't get hacked or close down in the near future.

If top 20 is too much for you then just invest in the alt futures listed on Bitmex. Most of those have lots of liquidity and can easily move in exponential price increases. Just keep in mind that they are very difficult to day trade but from a long term perspective should make you money. However if bitcoin doesn't exist in 5 years keep in mind neither will those alt-coins, so there is always a degree of risk.

The current market is little drawback of many legal issues so we never finalized the best altcoin in Crypto platform. Normally everyone concentrate the trading so we can choose our convenient platform at anytime, Because trading have many techniques so we only decide our profit ratio so once it will backward automatically decentralised coin will move to stable coin. You can analyse the past one week journey you will understand the desire coin.

In altcoins I always find possibilities in Ethereum and it's my estimate that mostly people like this well established altcoin I understand that these days its performance is not good at all but I think it has much ability to make more progress in near future the popularity of ethereum network is good enough and this could be the main reason of its further growth.

Well,,, nothing surprising there. Bitcoin always goes up/down by 10% in a day, and then the trend changes in one direction for a few days or weeks. And altcoins fall/rise even more than BTC. Pattern is similar so we should not be surprised.

Its just normal for a market to have corrections and it is indeed an opportunity for you to buy cheap coins.It isnt really necessary for you to buy a whole coin of btc yet you can invest on small partials too.
Diversifying or considering alts into your list isnt are really a bad idea though and you mentioned those top coins currently in the market which we can presume that these are main coins that will
pump or rise up when the market becomes well or better.Not all the times alts prices do correlate with btc but after all these years we've been observing it do really reacts that way.

I would suggest you to go with this two alts because ETH is one which always comes to our mind with strong potential similarly TRON is growing very fast and has the capability to dominate the top CMC list I mean in top 5, and yes it's obvious that buying coins in this situation could be a great fit for crypto forum. Eth is the one which is the most valuable block chain after BTC where as TRONs transaction speed is fast when compared to other alts. This is how you differentiate and buy coins.

I think bitcoin can still be held in an amount less than 1 bitcoin and there is no need to force it to invest as fully as bitcoin because it will be difficult for small investors.

But here I am of the opinion that I will hold ETH, BSV, LINK in altcoin and this is quite low the right time to hold in the next few months and I think if the bullrun comes again then this increase will be quite large so the profit will be maximal if you hold from the price low.

Ethereum's price has been increasing since this year came, for those who hold ethereum at the last year then they will be profited now.

Tron, I don't know this coin is still potential. This coin price had increased when its creator met Warren Buffet and he had gave 1BTC at that time. But now, this coin price has been decreasing as well then I don't think it will be the best portfolio for you.

But, just wonderinv why you role out bitcoin at the current situation. I'm still believe bitcoin is more promising then any altcoin out there. You don't need to buy 1 BTC, but you just need to collect a bit satoshi step by step. Halving event and other thing such many countries out there will surely help its price increasing a lot.

I agree majority of alts are failing to perform but at the same time it will bounce back as well, all we need to do is wait patiently until the market color changes. And yes investing at this moment is really a great option 😊

Honestly looking at altcoins as it is right now, there is really no way of knowing which one would be the perfect one to invest and which one would be the worst. Any coin you can say right now could be very well the best there is or the worst there is and we wouldn't really know the difference neither so it is basically not a great way to calculate what you can pick right now.

Maybe the coin you pick will do 500% profit, or maybe it will drop 80% this year and we probably wouldn't know about it and can't predict it. The only guarantee I can give is bitcoin and ethereum, those will not go up more than 3x for sure, and they will not go down more than 70% neither, they will be somewhere in between 100% guaranteed, not a small difference of course but better than others.

That is true, the prices are decreasing now. Bitcoin price has been decreasing more than $6000 and it is dreadful, I cannot imagine this situation will come when the halving event will be happen nearly. Now the whole market has fallen by about 20%, it is possible that the fall will continue, but when the market starts to turn around and grow, I think it is worth investing in ETH.

Many altcoin have been in lower price and best moment to buy or invest right now, but you need waiting for awhile until price back to normal and going up to the higher price, when bitcoin and altcoin have top price you will get much profit.

Well for me Ethereum and BCH will rise up sooner or later. It will have a bull run after this drop. If I am going to invest, I am going to this two coins since they are the most trusted coin by so many investors that allows them to be placed on the top of the market. after seeing the prices today, I could not say anything more. Agree about btc, people should never see it as that they cannot afford 1 BTC and therefore must invest in other altcoins. Then again when the price is this low, surely we can consider getting in even more as this means more btc than you thought possible. Imagine, a month or two ago you buy the same amount in usd and get double today.

The reason for the fall in price of the mentioned altcoin and bitcoin was the COV 19 but  i want you to understand altcoin every altcoin thats is centralized should be consider as a good investment not to mentioned best altcoin which to invest now.

The impact caused by the spread of the corona virus is quite large now, including the falling price of bitcoin and altcoin in exchanger and of course this is very sad because before the halving day bitcoin, but as traders we must remain optimistic if the price of cryptocurrency will again experience a bull run in the future, and I personally still like and believe eth and ltc is still an altcoin that is very potential to be invested now even in the future.

It's not hard to decide at this stage as most of the altcoins are undervalued due to panic.
You can start buying on the major altcoins as they usually bounce back once this market starts to recover, ETH, BNB, and Litecoin, these are good altcoins to invest with IMO, but don't get too aggressive on few numbers of altcoins try to diversify with more to make sure you lower the risk.

i think there is no difference  . i mean best altcoins before are still best until now  . its not the price that we shouldnt based but lets based on the characteristics of the coin now that all coins are dumping based on the current economy that we are facing right now .

Bitcoin is still the best investment, but if altcoin I choose IPX now because the products offered by Tachyon are very interesting. The growth of Bitcoin cash (BCH) has been very impressive. I think adding BCH will be a good choice. Although, Ethereum thee days does not look very impressive. Prices of crypto coins are all falling today but they will surely recover once this correction is over. Bitcoin cash is not doing well, the dump ratio is worst in BCH! Even the Ethereum dump ratio is lower than Bitcoin Cash, BCH is too volatile nowadays! Therefore making money should not be the only purpose in the crypto market! Bitcoin Cash leads by some dishonest guy, so I don't think BCH is a good enough investment, I won't buy this coin again!

tron dumped too like any other else  but when the time the market is in good shape i never see any extra ordinary happen on tron aside from being introduced on many popular sites  . tron is like a good alternative to xrp which is also best to use for paying/payment or recieving  money since it somehow stable and a bit fast too  compare to other alts like eth  but no doubt eth is bigger than tron and eth is a good form of investment simillar to btc   . i have recieved some trons before but good thing i converted them asap before the crash begins  .

Besides of bitcoin, I choose ethereum for now because these two coins are the best coins for me. But I have another coin too besides that coins because I see that many coins in the market can be profitable in the next bull run. Although we don't know when the market can recover if we can buy at a low price, I am sure that we don't have to worry about anything except we only see the price will go up and down many times. I'll agree if you say that Dash is the best place to invest. Also with its masternode, you can gain a lot of money with one month only but you need to have a big capital to do that.

Such conditions I will not hold the coin for a long time. Because the coin has declined sharply the process of going up will take a long time. It was clear for me and since from the start ETH holds the crown among altcoins and no wonder why people choose this coin for investment its either for a long-term or short-term plan because of its profitability and market volume. XRP has managed to surpass sometimes but it turns back again into ETH, this may help to prove that Ethereum is gaining more trust from the people around.

Why do people trust this coin? In fact, Ethereum has been declining for the past 2 years and I cannot wait anymore because this coin is heavily dependent on Bitcoin's price increase. Agree, each person will have different views about the market and their research towards the coins, Both the BitCoin, Ethereum is always best for choosing as an investment because we have seen sustained growth from BitCoin and Ethereum. Only thing is we need to have patience and wait for the market recovery.

In the long term I recommend investing in ETH, because for me ETH is the most promising alt among all alts on the market, especially now the price of ETH is low and worth investing now.

I would go with ETH it is one of my favorite alt-coin for so long.

The best altcoin for me is Ethereum, I really recommend this coin because this is good for long term investment and you will not regret with this coin. Grab ethereum now while it's cheap it will rise up again at $200 price.

Do we really have to have any that is perfect for the situation? I mean we are in a global pandemic in a scale we have never seen before, it has already killed thousands of people and it has shut down many nations right now, maybe we do not really need to have any for this situation? Maybe having all cryptos useless in this situation is acceptable?

I do not really expect any coin to come out of this perfectly, I do not expect any coin developers to actually work for something like this, I personally just feel like let them be whatever it be and focus on surviving for now and forget about coins. Your choice maybe right, ETH price has been recovered in the early of this year. I saw this all time low price last year and it was really horrible. Maybe if you bought ETH last year when its price only touch $30 then you will be profited right at now. This is pointed out that investment is need a time, you will not get anything if you spend money and want instant profit. You will be end up in lose and never come back again.

The top 10 coin list will be the best altcoin to invest now as they have a good chance to increase higher. You can also select the other coins from the other list as your investment but make sure you can analyze and search for more information about each coin that you want to buy. Maybe this time, we will see an increase from the small coin price first and then the high coin price will follow the moves but let we see it later. Meanwhile, the market still moving to a better way so we can expect to make another profit.

Do you seriously believe in this growth? I think this is a speculative rebound. Given that the situation in the global economy is deteriorating sharply, this rebound should end quickly. I am sure that $ 200 will be in the near future, but it is too early to talk about long-term prospects. the project is developing very slowly and the latest decisions of the team to switch to POS were not supported by the community. in the long term, everything is not clear

Now you can make a little money on ETH, but if you keep ETH in your wallet for 2-3 years, you can buy it now at $130, and in a couple of years sell it at $1,300. This is a very promising coin.

This thread was open before the dumped of the Thursday last week and the cryptocurrencies market is still in the state of comma uptill now. However, after the dumped we have seeing some coins trying to make come back. If I will buy any coins now it has to be eos, bnb and gnt.

Maybe you can invest with doge coin because I get feeling with this coin during bitcoin keep stable with higher price, when bitcoin going up have big chance for Doge allowing how situation with bitcoin. But you must patient with Doge coin trading because have billion USD of selling and buying order.

But if you buy a lot of ETH, it should be staking when 2.0 has been released, and hold for 2-3 years doesn't seem to be short and must also require patience when the bearmarket hit. Some other altcoins are also very suitable for investment such as BNB, TRON, XLM.

He needs to wait until ethereum price down so he can get the discount price for ethereum. We don't know how higher the ethereum price in the future but if we can save it from now on, I think we will going to make a lot of money. BNB, Tron, XLM can be the other choice to invest, but I don't know if XLM can increase high because the price is too little depend on BNB and Tron. But we will see it later when the bull run comes to us. Maybe there will many other altcoins which can increase too.

All forecasts now do not make sense since it is not clear yet how humanity will cope with the crisis caused by the virus. There are negative options in which in general all cryptocurrencies will lose their relevance.

Personally, I do not believe that crypto will lose its relevance because of the virus, of course crypto is experiencing a crisis now, but this crisis will pass over time.

I think that a portfolio without BTCitcoin would look without essence because all altcoins were born thanks to Bitcoin. I would hold some satoshi, ether, of course, I am expecting Ethereum 2.0 too.

There is a ferrum token (FRM) that since I bought a certain amount they have given me some profit. BTC investors shouldn’t convert for USDT at this time because Btc price consistently pumping. And for that altcoins are increasing. Keep hold both of Btc & altcoins. Opportunity is gone for Btc investment when it was below 5000$.         

When it comes to potentiality, we could find it on the top listed altcoins and must have to check also its market volume which is the most important thing to consider when investing not only the price itself. But probably, I'd never considered stable coins for this, of course, it is much better to find those coins that are highly volatile coz it mostly makes huge market fluctuation and in that particular thing, we can able to generate more profit. Good point, nowadays interest is no longer with financial wealth but instead more people are finding ways to survive from pandemic virus that keeps

A lot of other cheap coins for you and should think carefully because the world situation is now very chaotic and certainly this will be a difficult time for all investors. I don't know when the market will recover but it will take a lot of time because the bear market is still causing many difficulties for investors. I also hold some coins but I bought at a very high price in the past and am waiting to be able to sell at a higher price.

It is definitely better to divide your money into multiple stuff when investing, however crypto as a whole is one thing you should divide into, not which crypto. So, to make it more clear, if you want to divide your money, it should be stocks/gold/crypto and one more thing if you can, not btc/eth/ltc/eos type of thing, because in the end big cryptos almost always move the same whereas other stuff do not move all together usually but even when they do at least you would be divided between them all.

This downtrend was in all of them, all stocks, gold, all crypto so if you were divided you would have still lost money and that is understandable, but do not go into crypto thinking you can divide your money into 10 different coins and make different profits, they all go up and down together.

Steem looked like it was the best one for a while but it turned out there was some politics going on around it and it doesn't look like all that well anymore. Still a decent coin if you hold it before all of this happened but I would be against buying from scratch anymore.

For me Ethereuem is the first option when it comes to investing in altcoins. Apart from Eth coins like BCH, Monero are also good to be included in your portfolio. Alt coins are good for long term investment that's why I prefer keeping 70% in btc. Altcoins price are closely associated with BTC, they cant move on there own.

A strange problem. Nobody forces you to buy bitcoin or ten bitcoins at once, you can do these purchases in parts. The main problem that I see now is the money that people have less and less during the crisis. And they are forced to sell their cryptocurrency investments in order to pay their daily bills.

It caused by ethereum lacks of big update that makes a lot of big traders have been moving to the another coin to do another pump and dump scheme. Mostly that I seen about invest on what they gonna choose was in the top 10 or 150. Actually there are lots of altcoins best to invest even do they are not in the top but the important is have a future that we could hold for so long and get a high profit. It's not a surprise that Bitcoin would always be my top choice to buy and hold. One of my friends made a nice profit when he bought it at $5,500 and sell when it breached $7,000. Now he is waiting for Bitcoin to go down again and buy some. However, I tell him that there's no guarantee that Bitcoin would ever reach that price again. However, it's still possible that it might go down to his target price due to various circumstances. I am not counting the halving period though.

Aside from Bitcoin, I would be more bullish on ETH, BNB, XLM, XTZ, XLM and TRX in the top 20 coins in CoinMarketCap. Other coins/tokens that are below the top 20 in the CoinMarketCap that I'm bullish on are STEEM, VRA/VRAB, NWC, LBRY Credits, etc.

I am not a financial adviser or so, but these are just my own instincts. Decide and invest what you can afford to lose.

For me, I will choose BNB. Although it's a coin of exchanges and it won't grow as strongly as other alts, I still really like BNB. It's market cap is extremely small (<$20 million). Most of the supply is locked up already. Roughly 1% of the circulating supply is for sale on the market right now!

This is a common suggestion, and we know that this is the most effective coin in making profits if it is held for a long period. it's just that, some people want to take the risk of choosing coins other than that with the reason for a higher increase.  however, I am sure that among the coins mentioned will be the best altcoin this year.

   Lenfaye you are totally right, we need to have Bitcoin and Ethereum. Majority of the people is interested in well-established
projects. But as others say, leave some free space for hidden gems. I believe there are hidden gems, and now when they are
down its good time to buy them cheap and to have them in portfolio for the future.

I think the coins below the top 200 will be more profitable because they are not of much interest and if there is good news, these coins will tend to increase very high. In addition, you can invest in IEO projects because if you are lucky you can earn very high profits in a short time. However, risks can occur at any time and you should carefully consider your investment options.

It depends on choice of coin to invest on. We all have choices, it never a must to invest on top altcoin before you'll be able to gain profit in crypto. I might decide to invest in newly created altcoin and have a massive profit at the end.
The Crypto market is unpredictable. The less valued altcoin can turn up very good.

Well investing in a new project is a high risks you have to think it more prior buying such coin. Newly created coin they are good at first but some no improvement in the end. In my opinion, Good to have some eth as this coin is worth of our penny.

this is just my personal opinion but you can see eth, link, erd, bnb and other altcoin.
I see these coins going up very fast and having a good partner or all the coins working together.
so there is a possibility that they will go up gradually side by side.

the closest possible option is ethereum. updates that have been waiting for many people now have good momentum when BTC is still strong in the market. hopefully, ethereum doesn't lose good momentum to be able to get a strong pump in their renewal. because conditions can change when updates are made when the market collapses.

of course I will invest in coins that are already good in all respects like coin top, ethereum and litcoin are my choices because the movement of the two coins looks more good every day

Ethereum could be reached up to the $800 in the following days as of now we can see it how fastly it is growing in the present moment. So it is way more beneficial than we think it could be in the future if we act immediately on it.

I am not sure if ETH price can reach $800 but it will be difficult to reach this price because I am sure in the next few weeks the market will have a strong correction and this is not a good time to invest. People are very optimistic right now but should not be too excited because the bear market can come back anytime. If you already make a profit from the market, you should set the price to sell and avoid greed when investing.

Thats true, better to have less expectation. We dont know what could be the next movement of the market and we know if the price is increasing there are investors who take advantage thus its expected to have a correction since the price of crypto is volatile. Rather than $800, im more optimistic to see the price of eth to reach $500 before this year ends and I think its possible.

You can choose Ripple, one of the best coins that hasn't been recovered since 2019,
I think there will be a big wave on XRP, because the chart shows that XRP will bullish

NWC and SNX are both very bullish and both projects have good fundamentals.

When we compare the supply of with the other coin XRP supply is really huge and every year they will release their supply of their holding into the market. We should always grab the other attacking like ETH, BNB, XLM, ADA, ICX etc., which has higher chances to increase their prices.

We have our different opinions and picks about the altcoin which is the best to invest in so far,  but for me ill stay with ethereum, binance coin, twt, dth and hacken.

i keep my investment pool diversified between btc, eth and some defi - like polkadot, uniswap, and now looking for interesting dex 

smth like that in my situation. i think investing in dex project will be successful in long-term strategy. and also I try to find some dex-es with opportunities for liquidity providers

I hate to say this because i Lose my faith in XRP, but we cannot deny the fact that this is still profitable to buy,specially now ,just few hours ago this is falling badly and even comes back to original price before the pump happens.

But look at it now?climbing very fast to30cents from 25 cents minutes ago.

My suggestion is going to old coin which still have on going development but the community already there. Such as : monero, dash,litecoin
Monero : is still good project to see as the anonimity its sell us.
Dash : another anonimity and insta send and i heard there will be dash pay ( you can reate your name on dashpay )
Ltc : i am waiting for mimblewimble ( anonimity for ltc ownership )

The answer currently is none. It is better to limit your involvement to Bitcoin at the moment and exchange it to stable coins as the price moves. DeFi coins investment is the direction most people look at now but most of them are just hyped only to be dumped on the later investors.

My best sugestion for investing now altcoin :
1. Polkadot : because they will make devoded event and many developer will built defi on it
2. Litecoin : no doubt it has syrong community and also it is decentralised like bitcoin.
3. Dash : old crypto with new innovation and focus on its niche ( payment )
