Title: Which coins are your safe haven now?
Post by: SheriffEl on March 17, 2020, 01:58:24 PM
Hey

So, since the crisis has just begun imo, which coins are you guys holding? who do you trust?

I am a proud holder of NWC, KAVA, and BAT for some time now. Or at least I wish I could say I'm proud for all them haha. Kava and Bat are testing my patience lately, but I ain't sellin'!! Time to buy more..

Whereas these NwC guys came up with a solution on how to keep HODLers in these tough times. Some sort of Holders event, exciting idea for me as a holder type of guy.

But, that's my opinion.

What about you Bitcointalk people?

What's your story?

Which coin is your safe haven?

There's no safe haven now  :D
Everything is on RED, only stable coins are doing what they have to do  :D

I'm holding my coins without selling or trading, I only bought some BTC and ETH , it's cheap now and soon or later the prices will get back to normal

Bitcoin is safe haven for me, people should stop talking as if it's over for crypto, it's not, I prefer having 1 BTC than holding 4k in stable coin because I know what that 1BTC can become in future, I care less about present value right now

I would pick kcs here because I think in this bearish market its performance is quite good as we know that kcs is native token of kucoin exchange which is one of the most reliable cryptocurrency exchange till date that's the main reason for me to trust on kcs and I hope it won't disappoint.

There's no safe haven in bear market, except for USDT or any other stable coins, providing that you had a nice cash out before market went down. The only thing you can do now is to choose your action. If you are holding bitcoin, then keep track closely on good altcoins and buy them at decent prices. Remember to spare some bitcoin to DCA. If you're holding stable coins, do the same thing but with bitcoin instead of altcoins. And if you're holding altcoins and loosing money, you're a poor trader for not knowing to cut losses.

The entire crypto forum has been signalling red and you are talking about safe haven, to me I don't see any coin performing in this ridiculous situation. However I will still go with ETH as it has strong potentials to bounce back again, apart from that I suggest you to research on TRON and try to invest in this coin. I do see a bright future ahead for this coin.

Stable coin is the emergency coin for some traders but no one knows how long it will go but for long term investors and traders, they still stay with their bitcoin and ethereum, could even buy more.It is just the wealth transfer process in the space, unfortunately such an uncontrollable circumstance caused it. I sense the dump could pump the price more this year if the pandemic is arrested early in the year. I will buy bitcoin and ethereum in any market condition

Holding stable coins now is just plain stupid, I'd rather buy NEO, EOS OKB, these coins are very good for short or long term holding, and right now they are extremely cheap, it doesn't make any sense to hold USDT when all coins drop in value, take advantage

I never put my eggs in a single basket so crypto-wise I'm in with at least 20 alts + BTC. I think that is "safe" enough. But I wouldn't consider now crypto a good refuge. Could be a good idea to purchase right now but you should expect another possible round of dumps in the market. Hence, cash is gonna be king for a while.. until the FUD ends in the markets.

Afterwards, commodities & probably crypto will likely launch off. It's a matter of time, but only few are able to hold cash, commodities and crypto at the same time and trade them at the right time.. unless you have insider information.

I think most of all cryptocurrency in the market is suffered from a sudden downfall of the cryptocurrency prices only the stable coins are considered a safe-haven nowadays, Fiat-backed and Gold Backed stable coins have not been affected by the current market downfall. on the other hand, some cryptocurrency is showing resistance although it was also hit by the price slides but only a minimal percentage, unlike Bitcoin and Ethereum that suffered almost fifty percent of its price.

Top coins in crypto space are all safe haven , a new opportunities have arise and no doing anything about that is unwise, many coins are too costly weeks back and now they aren't anymore, why won't many start buying instead of worrying about Bitcoin value?

if you have fiat you can cash on most top 10 coins. Including bitcoin. Almost all of them have drop to at least 50% of their values in few days. I hodl EOS and the price has dropped from $3.8 to below $2 so if you hav fiat you can buy EOS. Eth too is also hovering around $116 so for me it is a great time to fill your wallet. For some of us that already hodl many of this coin, we have no option to keep them save and hope better day will come ;D

Bitcoin is not really a safe haven but a risky investment. But we are holding into its performance in the past. History will show us that bitcoin always bounce back after a big dip. It may take some time, a few months to a year but it always bounces back and even make a new all-time high in the process.

strange coins you get there huh  . never heard of the two but im familiar with bat  , its basic attention token right ?  i saw the coin long time ago on a demo trade   . in the situation that we have right now , where cryptos are also droping  .

i dont think there are called safe haven because all of the coins drop thier value so no one is safe for now  but investment wise i think i will only go on btc because i trust this coin   .  btc are the one that will recover first more than anything else  .

No coin can be a safe haven for us even if we have bitcoin because bitcoin price is up and down every day, and we don't know if, in this day, bitcoin price will be increased. But if you use crypto as your long term investment, then you will see that your investment will be an increase in the future, but the question is how long you should hold your coins. That still a problem for us since we don't know when is the right time to sell our coin, but we have a sign to sell, which is when the price starts to increase, that will be the time for us to sell that coin.

That is right, there is no safe haven but remember that dont focus on one coin. Choose potential altcoins and you should always have prioritized to Bitcoin since it is near to safe haven as what of you have said. It's better to accumulate now using your fiat while all crypto price in the market was very cheap. Just like what I had done yesterday since I dont have BNB coin in my portfolio I bought some of them. I know that when bullish will come I might get profit on it.

You're always safe if you are a long term holding and of course monitor always the market even once a week isn't bad.

Im holding more than 85% of my assets into the USDT form and i can make a lot of bucks right now if i m trying to go back to the market again. Im also still holding  some into the bitcoin form that can be liquidated into the stable coin easily while some percents are still on the altcoin form. Im holding coin that faced less bearish chart compared with another altcoin just like tezos, chainlink and many more.
Im also shorting bearish trend coin on binance.

I don't have to think about your question it is very obvious the safest coins to invest in spot trading is Bitcoin but I don't recommend on leverage trading because you might be liquidated in no time If your planning to HODL just store it in your wallet, not on the exchange.
You have mentioned decent altcoins but I don't trust some altcoins right now I go for the best shot which is BTC.

I would stick with Bitcoin as my main cryptoinvestment. Although, I have other crypto holdings such as Ethereum, Ripple and the likes, I do more hope that it is Bitcoin that would result to big profit in the future once the market recover, more than my other investments. Bitcoin is just that promising despite of the huge decline in its market price. Actually, I am planning to invest more into it, if its price will go lower, because for me, that would be a huge opportunity. I do worry at this point but I would more stick with what I have seen before. The market price was way lower before, but a major bullrun occured, and that is what I am anticipating , in the future.
Bitcoin is safe haven for me, people should stop talking as if it's over for crypto, it's not, I prefer having 1 BTC than holding 4k in stable coin because I know what that 1BTC can become in future, I care less about present value right now

It is really not, it is more of an investment. But to some people, it is a safe haven because for them, they have assurance that its market price will recover from huge declines, despite of uncertainty to when will exactly such thing would occur. It is in the first place a digital currency, but due to volatility, it became an investment, and turned to an investment kind of safe haven. It does sound ironic, more like risking for assurance in the future, also expecting a profit from a safe haven. But, that's how strang cryptoindustry is.

My favorite is always Bitcoin and ETH. This period I thought to hold my heart strong and keep some OGN and WRX tokens. I have my doubts about these coins but a trader got to get a big n strong heart to make it. Wish me luck.

Watch out, guys, OP is very likely a paid shill for a shitcoin called "Newscrypto (NWC)". OP has been posting regularly over the past few weeks and most of the posts contain NWC stuff (posting has all the red flags of a paid shill).

People behind shitcoins like this one do this (it's like an online campaign) to attract newbies and get them to buy this piece of poo, then the early adopters as well as the devs will dump on the newcomers after a certain price target is met and you're left holding worthless bags of vaporware.

What to do: 1) Add OP's account to your ignore list. 2) Stay away from whatever garbage-coin this user is shilling.

The entire market is in chaos and there is not much good assets to invest in but I am currently putting my hopes in BNB, ETH, DIVI and BTC. These coins are way down at the moment and once the chaos of Corona Virus is down I believe the market is going to bounce back.

I'm around 95% in USD Coin (USDC) and True USD (TUSD) right now.

I still don't trust Tether (USDT) after it was proven to be operating a fractional reserve. Nonetheless, Tether still seems to be the strongest stablecoin in terms of maintaining its dollar peg.

Right now tether is down 1%, while most other stablecoins are down around 2%.

Excellent opportunity to grab some guaranteed profits by buying stablecoins right now.

Talking about safe haven, most people stayed in BTC (myself included) because the popular opinion was that Bitcoin was a safe haven asset. It's too quick to forgot what happened last week. Even top alts on Binance like $BNB, $MATIC and even $LINK (Yes, Chainlink) were all dumping massively. The news at that time was that they lost 50 - 80% of value – Link flash crashed on Binance which left some people happy and others not so much.. Contrary to popular opinions, I feel that staying in USD-pegged tokens are our best bet at the moment if we're concerned about preserving our portfolio value. The goal has always been about not losing our capital/portfolio value.

You should be looking it the otherway though. Since BAT for example is a good coin that is on the market for years, the project didn't die after the 3 years of devastating bear market, you could say its a safe token. As long as you are holding a good coin and a projects that is being used and still alive today, its safe. If you sell it for USD or local fiat then you can say its not safe anymore. You can spend it all in matter of hours.

People chooses stable coins like tether to save them from huge capital losses but those are not really safe to hold in these situation because we can't say that stable coins were backed up by real value and even fiat money losing its value due to outbreak so nothing is on safer side now.Such a pathetic condition of crypto market just like the global economy.

just believe in this market and don't give up because the market will return to increase. if you still have better capital to buy more, because now you can get it at a very cheap price.
I happened to sell when the increase occurred and save in USDT. I get twice the profit from selling my ETH and from increasing the value of USDT on fiat in my country.

Yes. What you choose also has good potential going forward. But have you ever tried to glance at EOS. The EOS price is right for the current purchase price. I think EOS is the right choice. I often monitor EOS, if coins are increasing, EOS is in the best coins.
The current price of EOS is $ 1.9. EOS habits are at $ 3.
But this is my opinion, because I often try to play with EOS.

Stable coins are the only coins that is being used as a safe haven assets like USDT that it is not very often for it's price to increase or decrease, that is why it is just like a fiat currency that it is only good for buying goods in online. USDT is not good for long term investment, so if you want to maintain your investment continue to hold your bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies.

Title: Re: Which coins are your safe haven now?

Well if anyone has their coins hodled in USDT then they're better to stay for now at that coin, even our money are kinda quarantined in some coins because of the market condition right now.
Since I am stuck with Bitcoin, that's my safe haven now. I guess some people in the other thread claimed that Bitcoin isn't a safe haven for anyone's asset.
I might consider buying more, but since we can't really earn even outside our home, I might need some time.
Diverting into a stable coin is a good choice if you are concern about the dollar or if you have a plan to convert into fiat.
No, you are wrong. Bitcoin is a safe haven if you have a patient on it to wait at the right time and cut your profit once the Bitcoin price climbing again. But if you just wanted to have a profit in a short period of time, frankly speaking, there's no safe haven in crypto if you wanted to have that.

Ideas will vary of course but as it stands now, I can say there are mostly two safe havens now or 2 coins which can act as a safe havens and they are USDT and Bitcoin. Once the market was dumping many people converted to USDT to reduce loss while most who are long term holders stuck to their Bitcoin owing to the fact that it always offers more chances of survival and profit once the market changes for good. Also, there are some people holding both of them just to be on the safer side. Ethereum, in my own opinion can also be a safe haven but Bitcoin offers faster and more reliable chances than it.

There is no safe zone \ coin \ asset. The best thing you could do before falling is to transfer all your money into one of the stable coins.
This would help you survive the crisis with minimal loss. Trying to hide in coins that have the same volatility as everyone else is just ridiculous.

No coins are safe heaven. However, if you buy top coins, your losses will be slightly lower if the market goes bad. I would say it would be good to buy eth now. It is cheap now. When the market starts to recover, of course eth will recover also. I kept my BTC and eth hold. I think now Trading is risky.

I believe there are many coins that did not suffer that much from this crisis, that's why i opened this thread.

Right now is just a delicate period to hold any coin, no pretence. In the past when the market went down like this, I know it was a hell of a task for me to make decisions to hold. Well, we grow daily and get mature in different areas of life. My safe haven now is actually Bitcoin and USDT.

Tough to say in this time, uncharted waters for sure. Time to step back and observe, i don't think the bottom is in already. Looks like crypto's more correlated with stocks n stuff than we thought.

There's no safe haven only good investments. There was a guy hitting you of shilling NWC, ask him if he knows a better investment than this one atm: https://steemit.com/announcement/@theicoracle/newscrypto-io-holders-reward-event

It is really hard to make the decision of which coin will be a safe haven or not because once someone is already at loss making such decisions might be hard most especially when it comes to some types of altcoins. As for me, my number 1 safe haven is USDT actually that's where my huge funds is while am studying the market to know the right time to buy my desired coins like BTC and ETH. My second safe haven is Bitcoin but in a smaller proportion while am getting ready to top it up and hold.

I think this is the time to be decisive in decision, and that involves sticking to Btc as the safest haven, or stable coins.

The market is volatile and vulnerable in this time, and there is no guarantee that there won't be further dips in this market.
Hence the need to dyor and choose for yourself the token you are going to stick to in times like this

For me safe haven is base in your own decision and it depends on the situation. For example today we saw blood in the market  the best thing to do is not to hold your coins you need to sell it in order to get out to a massive losses and buy back again after the crisis end. We need to decide fast to keep safe our funds and that is safe haven for me.

Right now am on stable coin, nobody know what will happen in the next couple of days, if the btc have bottom out or there is still more dip to come, so to me the safest for now is to be on stable coin until when the market has shown sign of recovery, but even if the dip still continues, i won't worry too much, when all the crisis is over things will be back to normal, plus opportunity to buy some cheap coins.

There's no safe haven only good investments. There was a guy hitting you of shilling NWC, ask him if he knows a better investment than this one atm: https://steemit.com/announcement/@theicoracle/newscrypto-io-holders-reward-event

I also joined the Holder Campaign 1 week ago. Starting small, holding when I get a reward I'll buy more. This are dark times for the whole economy not just crypto. Stay strong and don't panic, the trend will turn around.

Safe haven you say? Presently the way everything is going, the rate of blood bath in the exchanges, can't really make one think any of those coin would save you,the best one can do now is hold Ur btc or convert to a stable coin,or invest it,but buy when price is at bottom so when prices begin going up,you can take profit.

There's no safe haven now  :D
Everything is on RED, only stable coins are doing what they have to do  :D

I'm holding my coins without selling or trading, I only bought some BTC and ETH , it's cheap now and soon or later the prices will get back to normal
I also agree there is no safe crypto right now but there some who are secured and have a good chance to go back up like BTC,ETH and other top crypto.
For me those top list crypto are the only secured crypto right now I don't want to risk on some new crypto.

This may be a great opportunity for everyone, but I cannot be optimistic at this time because the disease will probably make this market worse. In fact, Bitcoin price has dropped to $3800 a few days ago and the probability of a repeat will be very high.

In one way or another, I am still careful when deciding to invest and think carefully before buying because the market is very unpredictable now.

There is no safe haven place in crypto currency in my opinion. As you know, meaning of safe haven is when you store your asset on the place then value of your asset won't be decreased, the value will be remain same even its value will increase.

Have you find this thing on crypto currency? In your portfolion for example? I said no because most of crypto currencies price were decreased when the recession came. I didn't find any of altcoins who just increased even in bitcoin itself.

Ive limited myself holding to major coins alone. Btc and eth are two of my asset. I joined campaign for altcoins and I sell it for eth, and holding my btc from signature payment. Its not I dont like other altcoins but these two are my safe haven. Many will disagree but the majority will surely have the same asset as OP asking. With the exemption of USDT which is a stablecoin cant be considered as safe cause it will be a safe answer.

We should always follow the different strategy based on the market situation, otherwise, it is impossible for us to make profits. No coins are safe from crashing down even bitcoin could not recover from devastating downtrend of the market. I think the best option of now is to convert your assets to stablecoins, You should have done a little earlier thought to be able to save a little bit ore of your loss. Then convert back it to alts or btc when everything is going back to normal.

I think the coin that is good for safe haven assets are stable coins because it is unusual for them to make huge movements like bitcoin, that is why coins like USDT coins are only good for avoiding this kind of situations like the bear market. USDT coins is just like fiat currency that it is good for making purchases through online

usdt does have more functions when under uncertain conditions like now. if we convert assets in usdt then the value of our assets will remain stable and if bought again on bitcoin, we will get more btc. therefore this stable coin is much in demand to store temporary assets

Only real "safe haven" right now is probably a stable coin.

The crypto markets is SO volatile right now, that you can't call anything "safe" for the moment being.

Do your research instead, you could speculate on the next bull cycle, which is what I am doing right now.

With increasing regulation, I'm SURE a LOT of people will be sick and tired of doing KYC on centralized exchanges, more over, a lot of us care about our privacy when trading, so I'm SURE a lot of people will start to adapt to DEX's, which is what I believe will be the next big thing.
Remember Kucoin and COSS? Exploded in 2017 on the premise of "passive income" from the fees associated with their exchange.

Today, we've got DEX's with a similar structure. Blocknet is a good example of a project I've got my eyes on, as if you run a node (5000 coins required), you can profit from the trading fees on the DEX, which could make you a healthy passive income in the future, I'm sure.

Holding stable coins now is just plain stupid, I'd rather buy NEO, EOS OKB, these coins are very good for short or long term holding, and right now they are extremely cheap, it doesn't make any sense to hold USDT when all coins drop in value, take advantage
Utilizing the conditions of falling prices will be a good solution for traders, all traders will definitely make a purchase at a cheap price and will resell when the price has risen.
For now almost all the coins glow red on the market, if you have enough capital and a strong mentality, You can make purchases in several coins. And need to remember, invest with quality, not with quantity.

With market conditions that continue to deteriorate as it is today, it's better to be careful in choosing altcoin, because it could be that what we choose will make us suffer losses later, I personally prefer to trust my money in ethereum (ETH) and Binance coin (BNB), and I think it's a good opportunity to buy some ETH that are currently experiencing price declines because if the market returns to normal I am sure that ETH prices will rise significantly later.
And likewise my reason I chose BNB as an investment asset because I saw the potential, and also the market capitalization of the BNB which continues to increase every day and BNB is one of the greats altcoins that has bright prospects in the future.

Yes, you are right, people are completely in a confusion state which coins to buy, because the market fluctuations make many people are afraid to buy the coin because the market is not stable yet and we might see more dump coming from the Bitcoin. This may surely cause the altcoin to decrease their prices again.

Try to make it simple on your analysis, the market is in panic, so price are cheap but they are not just cheap they are also undervalued.

I still strongly believe in bitcoin, altcoins might fail you but bitcoin can't. Its price movement resolve around a circle, the price might fall today but that doesn't mean it'll stay that way forever but that can't be said about altcoins The above altcoins you suggest can easily be replaced with other altcoins that are far superior to the current project working on either exact idea or similar innovation.

Bitcoin has proven time without number that it can be trusted and that'll why it has survive this long without any official backing from the government or any organisation backing. Irrespective of any project you invest into, don't neglect bitcoin as that's the only project close to a safe heaven in this space.

BTC and ETH will be a good solution for making long-term investments, because BTC and ETH has proven their performance in the crypto market. Current market conditions are very worrying, almost all coins have decreased in price.
If traders dare to take risks when the price of coins is cheap, and hold coins in the long-term, we can be sure they will get a big profit in the future.

Haven't heard of any of the coins (tokens) you have mentioned except for BAT. To be honest, I don't think you can consider any crypto currency as a save "haven". At least for now. The prices of crypto currencies are quite unpredictable. They rise and fall without any warnings. Look at the recent price drop that has caused lots of people to suffer (but you don't suffer unless you sell your coins). You can't guarantee that a certain won't fall in price and will keep rising. So there is no safe haven. Though, even you still want to choose one, I would say go for bitcoin. Its your safest bet.

Crypto coins are not really a safe haven since we are investing here with much risks. USDT is the safest shelter for all investors because this coin never changes its value. When the market starts to decline, holding USDT will give you lots of new investment opportunities and you will be lucky to buy many cheaper coins.

However, the crypto market is often a very unpredictable place, so consider buying and selling carefully because you may not always be able to make a profit here.

If you want to hold crypto and you want to feel safe, USDT is one of many options for the stable coins. If you have USDT, you don't have to worry from the up and down of the price because USDT does not get too big of the impact so you can buy another coin if the price of them is down too deep. But you cannot expect to make a profit, especially for a big profit from USDT because the price will not increase so high like the other coins. So you will need to buy another coin if you want to make a profit.

at the moment I have nothing better to do short trading when you see the opportunity to buy, then sell and repeat again.
if you really do not want to do the long term, it is normal to keep BTC, and some good alt.
but I prefer to do short trading at the moment.

Please don't have a false sense of safety. There is nothing called a "safe heaven asset" as far as cryptocurrencies are concerned. Even Tether (USDT) can't be rated as such an asset. Cryptocurrencies are one of the most volatile and risky investment assets available. In case you don't like the high volatility, then you should go for assets such as treasury bonds and bank deposits. Cryptocurrencies are for those who are willing to take a certain amount of risk.

Honestly? Monero. I know it went from being a 85 dollar coin to 35 dollar coin in just the last one month but it is also the greatest thing you can use to get away from all of this without anyone really following you. You can put ALL your money into monero and nobody will know it is there, when the whole world economy collapses the governments will come for everything you have and I do not trust bitcoin 100% anymore, if you have monero tho you can definitely be seen as hidden.

I know no government will work towards finding out how much bitcoin you are holding, that is too much work for them and they will instead do stocks/gold and basically all your cash in all savings accounts and combining all of that will be enough, however just in case one more step of protection by moving from btc to monero could be advantageous.

I, too, no longer try to keep a large cryptocurrency portfolio. Of the Altcoins, I have only Litecoin and Binance coin left. I think that the Binance coin will grow well in value even this difficult year.

What's your story?

Which coin is your safe haven?
Safe haven does not seem to be the right diction, because of the extreme market movements, world economy is not good enough. This is a challenge for all of us, train mentally and confident in trading and investing. The key is you have a strategy and do an independent analysis, don't panic, don't FOMO.
I prefer to hold BTC over altcoin. I avoid the new altcoin because the risk is higher. The price of BTC moves to the extreme, let alone the decline on single day last week which made me unsteady but I chose to hold on.

Old and top is like safe haven but choose new for projects for profits. Your opinion weren't so bad, I hold some Harmony, XNS, Credits and Vechain. Top 10 coin isn't suitable for me to hold long time. Although during bullrun all coin will give high profits if survive this coin until that time. Next plans is in one coin have to invest highest money which will safe haven.

Initially, bitcoin had been the coin that i hold for long term but for about a year i decided to try some altcoins as well and it has been great all these while. I have been holding BNB, ETH and LINk for quite sometime now and i know these projects are going to come out great in the near future to increase my profits.

indeed the current condition is better to save assets in the form of cryptocurrency with coins that have a little supply would be better like bitcoin is a very smart choice but for altcoin I think it has a very high risk because there is more supply than interested ones.

With this crisis we are all currently in to, for me, I would still consider Bitcoin as my safe haven despite of the fact that it is indeed the price of it is hitting too low because of what is happening in our world right now but still for me it is the safest cryptocurrency that I can entrust and do believe to make a big possibility to recover since Bitcoin have already surpassed lots of odds and circumstances and still manages to recover after that. With the current situation we have wherein all the cryptocurrencies are all in the red marks, I would still choose Bitcoin more than any other cryptocurrencies because for me it is still the safest one that I can have. Aside from Bitcoin, I am also currently holding into Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple for I also believe those Altcoins can have a greater possibility to improve and recover their prices once all this problems have been vanished and once the market recovers from its loss.

I will be brief. Of all the altcoins, Ethereum prefers me more. And most of my funds are in it. If it falls, then I buy it. If it grows, then I rejoice). Although I most likely make the mistake of keeping most of my funds in one asset.

Do not pick any safe haven altcoins because none of them are more safe than others when it comes to market collapsing. You can find a coin that is better for profiting and I can understand that, it has always been something very differentiating because some coins make more profit than the others, however when it comes to losing money all coins lose money except bitcoin which still goes down but not as much as the other ones.

Look at ethereum for example, it was around 250 bucks and moved to 100 bucks or even lower at around 90 bucks for a while, where as bitcoin was 7.5k and moved to 5k mostly (sure it went a bit lower as well but rebounded) so as you can see when it comes to losing there are no safe havens in altcoins, only bitcoin, when it comes to winning, we have some profitable ones.

I would applaud your choices on altcoins. Most of them have good future potential. BNB is the exchange coin of Binance, which is the largest cryptocurrency exchange if we consider the volumes and turnover. ETH is regarded as the king of altcoins, ever since its listing in 2014. Even now, they have the best development team among all the altcoins. Chainlink is one of the most potential new altcoins and it may give good returns in the near future.

in this industry you cannot be safe or avoid the risk of investing in digital currencies. We all know that investing in crypto involves risk taking, and you need to understand it before making a decision here. related to this I personally always believe that bitcoin investment is very feasible as well as to secure your money here, if you don't want to take high risks.

If we examine beforehand, actually digital money is not only the perfect solution in the current coronavirus, but before the existence of coronavirus digital money is a good solution to be used as a medium of exchange. therefore it's time we turn to digital money to be used as a medium of exchange in everyday transactions.

USDT is my only option from the beginning of March until now, I am still waiting for the market to continue going down to be able to buy a few altcoins at a better price. In the current dangerous period, it is best not to hold Bitcoin or any altcoin because its price can collapse quickly and make you serious loss.

BAT? You mean Basic Attention Token? I also invested in BAT. I don’t think any coin in the market now is worth more than its price in the last one month, even there is they will just be a few of them. BAT price plummeted to 0.09 USD and has moved up to 0.14+ USD as of recent that the market has been recovering.

Bitcoin has been my safe haven right from time, I don’t think there is anytime I don’t invest in bitcoin, more than 50% of my investments goes to Bitcoin and to me it’s really good choice more than others. Other altcoins I have invested in Litecoin, BCH, Kyber Network, and Ripple.

So a centralized cryptocurrency that tries to disguise as fiat is your safe haven from other decentralized cryptocurrencies? Good job!
You're choosing a piece of paper that some company says is worth the same as 1 dollar over the real dollar and over gold and digital gold :D

Out of the things you could buy right now USDt is one of the worst choices.

I still have my BTC that I'm not going to sell even if it goes to 3000, some cash and some fiat in the bank but that's the smallest amount just for gas and groceries. I also have a bit of ETH.

Bitcoin is safe investment for instead of all cryptocurrency. Definitely it will chances to a little bit reduce but on the other hand more possibility to increase. I have some btc it dumped hardly when btc price was hit below 5000$ and right now it’s recovered within short time. I think you should don’t panic when btc will go to downtrend movement. Even you may convert stable coins to BTC.

Even tho the whole crypto world is shaking I still believe altcoins are a good option. BTC will bounce back, and with it altcoins also. I try to pick altcoins that did not lose too much value in comparison to some other cryptocurrencies and NWC seems to be a good option especially because of their holder's event. In my humble opinion now is the best time to buy altcoins.

Why buy bitcoins if, as you yourself said, they will act synchronously with bitcoin. Therefore, the amplitude of Bitcoin can be an order of magnitude higher,
because altcoins will not be able to go beyond the growth of BTC, which means it makes sense to buy exactly Bitcoin and not other coins.

USDT is only good for investors who don't want to gamble at the moment, they want to make their investment safe so they put it in USDT for the moment.
There are sure a lot of low marketcap coin but with good potential, but when evaluating a going, that really depend on person to person, you might like a certain coin but other people might not find it attractive.

Yes, and in the current conditions it is still better to hold stable coins like USDT and Fiat, but Bitcoin is also good to hold even though there is always the potential to go down, but Bitcoin does not require a long time to bounce back at unexpected times.

Titan Coin is very risky to hold, because TTN is only in a low market and pairing is also limited and not so much, and the volume and price are still very low, please see the screenshot that I gave.

I would save pretty much there is no safe haven for the cryptocurrency to invest with. For sure this is not a great time since the world is busy fighting the virus so surely this is going to affect the cryptocurrency in the market but for sure just my opinion putting your money or investing it in bitcoin would be the safest move for an investor for sure just because of the volatility of the market of bitcoin. I think the market of bitcoin could easily recover from the dumps and vice versa also the demand from bitcoin is already their comparing it to the other popular altcoins in the market that might have a potential but compared to bitcoin for sure bitcoin would be the best overall.

there is no safe place period. there are promising projects - yes, there are relatively stable coins like usdt (but it is tied up with usd obviously).
however there are places aside crypto where you can save your funds in order not to lose much of value (like fonds/bonds)

That's true but there are people who are looking for a high potential coin as that would give them good chances to safeguard their money and earn.
For me, I think it's very obvious that only bitcoin is the safest right now, ETH which is the number 1 in altcoins are still not stable, it even dump below $100 which is really far away from its ATH, while bitcoin were able to recover and hit $10,000 which is a great price already as it showed this coin is strong.

I am very unfortunate since I wasn't able to convert my assets into fiats because I didn't notice the sudden downfall of the market, I didn't saw it coming either. It was just after a busy several days of mine, when I checked the market it was already down at $4k it was nothing I can do about my supposed to be money except, I bought more fill some crypto, store more, and luckily market had pumped up a little, and I was able to take few profit when I am really in need.

even the movements of bitcoin on the market today are still confusing and risky. what is safe is the ability to recover from bitcoin which can be better than altcoin. therefore now more will save bitcoin than altcoin even like ETH.

For me only AWC is my safe coin. I don't have much btc so I opted to buying some AWC and also for the fact that the price is currently cheap. This is the best time to buy Awc and watch for the next bull. And ain't regret buying as this is a lifetime investment for me.

I guess their was no safe haven token in the market since we have the coronavirus the is spreading around the globe.

It might be hard to invest at this time it could be a big gamble but if the market price of the token was low I think buying low and selling it high could easily managed to create some profit in the future.

Atleast we are surely expecting dump because of the down economy at this time surely a lot of investors are going to sell their investment at this time because this is a emergency matter.

Now I hold USDT :), and a little Bitcoin, I sold everything that was at the beginning of March for a long time and did it right, in a crisis it makes no sense to keep a lot of cryptocurrencies.

Holding the USDT or other stable coins and holding fiat has no difference except the speed which can be essential for buying back before the market recovery. It doesn't make sense to rush buying the cheap cryptos, otherwise.

your assets save now in fiat before market dumped alot. holding usdt in current moment give us more profits it fiat rate drop usdt. this is the best way for us till all cryptocurrency price hit the bottom again. holding cash was be the king while all finance market crashing, we could buy anything after sharp drop..

If you want to know about altcoin, then the only safe crypto to hold is ETH, after Bitcoin I will give priority to Ethereum. Although the market is somewhat bearish due to COVID-19 epidemic, But the crisis will soon be over, in my opinion, if you are a holder and want to hold crypto for long-term then you should choice Bitcoin or Ethereum to keep your investment safe.

If you need money instantly it's better to stick with stable coin and Fiat but if you are still in this crypto game bitcoin is your best bet as the value will sooner or later grow up again
Bitcoin has been a safe haven for most crypto enthusiasts out there yet there are also some good coin like the ones operating under the Proof of Stake consensus. Some of these coins provide substantial ROI and ROR for investors. Eg DASH, DIVI, Energi etc

To feel haven situation only trusted coin is Bitcoin and then Ethereum. Simple calculation when you go lower, you would have higher risk. Even for profits is the anti paths. When Binance coin arrive in cryptocurrency Ethereum price was same as now but look at now Binance price 13 USD, ICO price was 0.10 cents.
Bitcoin and Ethereum to rally back to higher price and I consider it too a safe and less risky compared to other coins in the market right now. Many altcoins are based on Ethereum while ETH follow the price of BTC. In crypto market, there always a risk but learning to minimize it will be a big advantage to cut our lossess. Now I prefer to add some altcoins that have crypto exchange platform. I think its valuable unlike any other platforms.

honestly there is no safe place when you invest in crypto, crypto is only for people who dare to take risks.
prepare your mentality before investing even though the price is cheap if you are not strong, don't ever try it.
he must not invest in anything and just keep his money to avoid any risk. You are right about this but this question is about asking others about an opinion regarding the safest asset that means if the asset has less volatility and stable or gold coin should be the best choice. Bitcoin is also a good thing to be picked but it's still volatile.

I  agree with this your strategy as i only hold just three cryptocurrency now which are btc, Eth and BNB TOKEN. When the global crisis caused by the pandemic virus is over, these three coins will find lights at the end of the tunnel. I chose them because most altcoins out there won't survive this crisis and no one knows how long the bear will last. So i prefer to go with tokens that will be able to withstand the test of time

USDT has always been the safest option whenever this market collapsed, and that is the way for me to survive in this market until now. Also you can keep bitcoin and don't need to panic if you trust it. Prices will undoubtedly recover soon in the future and only need a little patience

-snip-
If you are a day trader, it will be difficult for you to save or not sell bitcoin when the price is dump. But if you are a long-term investor or trader, maybe you dont need to panic to cut losses when bitcoin prices dump because of the belief and habit that prices will recover both in the near future or a little longer and its called a market cycle and I am sure the crypto market will be like that forever.

Efforts to keep the capital used for trading purposes stable then a trader must cut losses when asset prices dump and almost all daily traders or short-term traders do it or they have to make other efforts to recover their capital and so far I only think that they will choose stable coins like USDT and the like to secure capital.

My safe haven is usdt for now, the whole market is being coronated and infected with the virus, so I can't say for others, but as for me, am holding my Fiat and usdt till the market is stable. Except you want to.scalp in trading, then you can check the market for a reasonable coin to trade and get profit, but when it comes to holding in safe haven, then it's usdt.

Right now bonds and hedge funds are not safe neither, there is absolutely nothing safe right now at all, everything is quite dangerous. That is why there was so much demand for USDT for example, people didn't want to stay in cash neither, but didn't want to leave crypto neither, so they stay in usdt for now.

Bitcoin, ethereum, eos, bnb all looking like they are quite dangerous as well, the safest one is bitcoin obviously but even that dropped a bit, so there is nothing really "safe". However there are ones that we trust for the future, they are doing fine and I think they will be better in the end when this is all over, all of them will go above the price it used to be like a month ago, it will just take some time, probably will be better during this summer.

Well, now it’s obviously better to hold usdt because bitcoin has already grown to 7 thousand and the probability that it will now begin to rise above 7500 is very small. most likely you will have the opportunity to buy bitcoin for 5 thousand again.

It is not really easy in any place or country, the governments has already started imposing more restrictions and it's not funny at all and with that, comes spikes in the price of goods and services but yet the whole world is hoping for the best. My safe haven? it used to be more of BTC but with current issues around it is now less and more of USDT just in case I find it neccessary to covert to fiat. Even with this, I try to ensure I hold on to USDT hence being ready when opportunity calls to buy some coins because sooner than later a cure will surface.

Bitcoin & USDT...
Bitcoin has proven its resilience to remain high in times of crisis, and USDT is a very stable cryptocurrency because it follows the US Dollar price, as long as the dollar is strong then the USDT will follow, the BTC & USDT is really truly safe haven.

Fiat is not a currency but it will always be a safe haven in times as the sudden global economy crash which we experienced of recent. There are yet some Altcoins which seems stable to some extent. Tokens such as ADA, Xrp, XLM stayed a little bit put and quickly recovered from the crash as well. I'm not saying they're safe havens but they were strong.

T think you got my mind there and you read it perfectly well, the only difference is that I still trade. When it comes to safe even, I believe there is no other coin than for you to just hold your stablecoin or fiat on exchange. Although keeping money on the exchange too cannot be totally safe. Meanwhile, you can still keep your stablecoin in your wallet, particularly those that are ERC20 compatible. On the other hand, trading in a fluctuating market can also be a good idea.

To me I do not see any coins to be save haven with the way crypto market is, everything is as it is, nothing to trust till market recovers fully but despite the condition of the market there are some projects that seem good because of the people behind it atleast they are trusted and they are men of Cryptocurrency enthusiasts. But not withstanding I prefer anyone seeking for good projects to check CMC and check group so as to follow up and not hook in wrong hands.

what is the point when market "fully recovers" tho?
I think it is a very blurred concept.

Answering the main question I'd agree anyway - there is no safe haven coin in crypto market.
But there are some  project worth investing in

I don’t even have time to be thinking of safe haven. The coins I am holding now is still the coins I’m holding before. If the price is already down, then why should I be swapping to another coin? I already made the loss, so there is no need to be looking for safe haven, I’d rather leave the money there till the price goes up, because I am very sure that no matter what, the price of these cryptocurrencies will still go back up.

As of now I have my money in Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin, Ethereum, MTC and waves but that does not mean that my money is in safe heaven but I tried to ensure that the best level I could and the rest is just based on my luck factor. In future, I will keep on looking for new such assured opportunity which means even few fails in my previous selection that may be compensated by new investments.

I personally still rely on investing in top coins, especially like BTC, ETH, BNB, and just added several other altcoins like BAT, OMG, and Chainlink. even though the market situation is still weak but I believe that some of the coins that I have said will have a high selling value someday. on the other hand we are all currently being tested, it is important for investors to always be active and monitor the portfolio that we have in the market.

Sorry mate but I do not know the coin you held, there is no safe coin because anytime it possible to decrease but our main priority is bitcoin why? It's because it is main once it dump many altcoins are affected but if it's pump rising will altcoins will happen.

Holding coin is no guarantee that your money will be back or gain because there is a chance that you lose it once dumping market will happen if it's very deep but if little decrement the value they still have chance to recover .

Most of the common comments here chose the bitcoin as their safe haven as well as me, well, the higher the price of the cryptocurrency then the higher the people will look it as safe haven, even though yhe bitcoins goes down so hard then it would still bounce back to rise again as like before when the bitcoin reaches about 1700$ if I am not mistaken, even now on our current situation, the price of the bitcoin falls to 3,900$ and now it ranges to 6000$-7000$.

While holding Bitcoin if you can notice an incoming price fall you can switch to USDT or other stable coin, doing this will fetch you more bitcoins, it's a very good trick, USDT and BTC are the best safe haven

Besides BTC and ETH, I still hold several other altcoins that I got from the bounty or airdrop campaign. I do not intend to sell it at this time and will keep waiting until the price is enough to provide profit for me. Even though when altcoin season/bullrun occurs I don't have the chance to sell it, but there is still hope that one day it will happen again.

PPC, QRL  Those are shitcoin, how can you be safe when investing in these altcoins? I checked them at coinmarketcap and saw that they had no volume, if you invested in it you would definitely not profit in the future.
