Guys, I am telling this to you after going through some hard day's ETH sees massive upswing now. It broke the key hurdle of $130 level and gave a solid start and the bulls have gained some momentum in the market because ETH is closely tracking Bitcoins price action at the moment. I guess it depends upon the pump of BTC if it pumps I am sure alts will follow the same.

Eth won't live at the bottom forever but it won't live its life at the top forever too. The balance in the markets will remain despite of the manipulations.

It broke the key hurdle of $130 level because of the 15% price pump of BTC. ETH itself has not gained any price against BTC. It only affects of BTC and I can see nothing good in that because it proves there is no demand for ETH in the market. Otherwise, ETH price against BTC would also increase. Check CMC and find how much price it has gained against BTC, nothing till now.

Normal reaction when bitcoin pump, ETH would follow and good to see it recovers also.
I guess the entire market of major coins have pump today, that's a good news and hopefully a good start for bitcoin to continue to rise.

However, we are just hoping at the moment since we can't ensure that bitcoin will continue to rise.
The economy is still down, so a possibility of a dump could still happen.

Yes!!! It just not for Ethereum , It was very hard day to whole crypto industry . Right now Ethereum has been like the top of crossing buttom labels . If the same went on then very quickly  will reach in earlier label .

Mate it's not just Ethereum, other altcoins are recovering too, BNB ,EOS, NEO among others, all altcoins still depends on Bitcoin and now that Bitcoin starts recovery altcoins will definitely follow Bitcoin thread, its same thing that always happens

As a whole, this is because bitcoin has exceeded the first time since this happened, ETH has increased quite strong but still loses with BSV, which soars higher than ETH because I believe ETH demand will be more than BSV but why is it still lagging behind?
I am sure ETH takes a long time to process really to a higher price than BCH and BSV.

This is always the case when BTC pump. Everything follows especially those major coins that totally closed such as ethereum and ripple. But sometime a coin pump for some different reason such as what weve witnessed on Steemit Platform which will be having a fork and of course people wanted to take advantage of this event.

Not yet, this is just a recovery by bitcoin and some altcoins are following it, it still takes at least close to halving bitcoin and ethereum should be able to rise higher than usual

That is through ,going through the chart, Ethereum is about to make some upward movement ,indeed it broke the $130 price but then at against bitcoin, it is yet to make some good move,I think it's still an opportunity to get some now before the run comes,I think with Ethereum 2.0 inview,one should expect something great with Ethereum.

In my perception, not all the times that ethereum coin depends its increasing price on bitcoin. In some cases it is, but not all the time. Ethereum has its own movements and has the capability to increase by its demand in the crypto market.

no one can deny that the existence and situation of bitcoin will always affect all altcoins, especially with altcoin which does not have the power to have these interventions. I see that is still reliable, ethereum and of course some of the other altcoins that have the smallest impact, such as BNB, LTC and others I hope this will continue to move well.

Yes, I saw it today, ETH has crawled as Bitcoin crawled.
In my opinion this kind of thing does not only happen to Eth the same thing also happens to other coins that are on the market.

Actually the price of ETH started to rise as its upcoming switch to the use of PoS protocol was drawing nearer until the whole pandemic of COVID 19 slowed world markets which affected the crypto market as well. Once things are calming down the price of ETH would pick up again especially as it gets closer and closer to the month of July when the update is going to happen.

In terms of graphics and volume in the current crypto market, ETH is indeed ready to pump high prices going forward. however, it also does not guarantee how long the boom will last. therefore while there is an opportunity at the moment it is immediately to invest in ETH.

You are correct. Today, with the last 2 days skyrocket of bitcoin, people hesitated with their decisions on market. You can observe that when bitcoin climbed, altcoins fell and vice versa. However, things changed after bitcoin lost its peak at $6900. After that time, bitcoin and altcoins fell off together, in fiat pairs and in altcoins/BTC pairs.

I strongly believe that the market is on its way to a massive correction in next few hours.

Not just Ethereum, but almost all alts follow bitcoin's pump right now. Some of them have gain more than bitcoin, 20%-30% in the last 24 hours. As far as Ethereum goes, yes, it almost din touch $300 around Jan-Feb, however, the corona effect really pull all the market down.

But it seems we are in a bullish sentiments, maybe the next target is 150$, let's see if Ethereum pumpers can push the price to that big next barrier.

if you will check coindesk and look for the charts, they are all following the general trend performance of bitcoin. since eth is one solid project, more than likely it will follow bitcoin's performance. it is one of these blockchain projects that I have faith that they will rise in the next coming months or years because they have real development in place. it is very far from those pump and dump alts, giving empty promises or passive income, which is a false promise to their investors.

do have any proof  ? no sign of recovery doesnt mean that it will be like that forever but it could still recovery after a few days or weeks  .

you know the situation is still hard up to this date  but once issues were sort out , thats the time people can go back on crypto business and everything will be just fine again  . im still not forcing you to hodl , you can sell if you like   but for many others ,  they are now optimistic that eth is ready to make a come back again knowing that btc is now on the move  .

It is not ETH alone but other top altcoin. EOS is back above $2 again. although it was above $3 few weeks ago but since market is gradually recovering, hopefully all will fully recover after a long weeks of hopelessness and a lot of topic created to discuss the recent fall in price of bitcoin. Ethereum and some other good coins in the coinmarketcap always obey the gains of Bitcoin to extract their own gains.looking at the recent move from Bitcoin, you would clearly see that other coins in the market take their move from Bitcoin reflection. Although, among the others, ethereum seem to move faster than others because of the pump. Not that, coins like BSV and BCH also have the same move like both also experience pump too.

Ethereum 2.0 upgrade will be the very best for the community and they will equally gain from this upgrade. Hope to see more positive move from ethereum as one of my portfolio am looking into.

My outlook is still bleak for Ethereum. Until one of the two major negatives are taken care, I don't think that there is much of a future for ETH. First of all, the ICO market is in tatters. And this was one of the reasons behind Ether's crazy bull run in 2017. And secondly, the ETH 2.0 roll out is getting delayed over and over. Unless the developers take care of these things, ETH will continue to struggle at the market.

I do not think the time has fully come for ETH to attain that level of high surge of rising in price.What we are seeing now is just a little market top up but the boom has not come yet.However, I know what is happening currently in the market is just a way of getting us ready for that big boom that is coming to ETH market soonest.We need to be expectant of such a big moment which is possibly going to be before the end of this year.We need to remain consistent and hopeful.We must never relent in our investment approach at every point in time.The time for the price surge will soon happen .

you are right but unfortunately, we are going back to the initial starting point. whenever there is a sharp bull run, there is a probability that it will always slide back to it's starting point. today's move was trigger by whales and we are happy to see bitcoin gain back to 5k price mark. For a while now altcoins have followed the trend of Bitcoin in price. The only thing to hope is that it continues that way. The fact that there's rise now, I don't see it as a boom. Let's see what happens in the coming days.

Now the market condition is in a very bad state due to impending fears of recession and all the investors are pulling their money away from risky assets. That's the reason for btc going down along with all the alts. I expect it to last couple of quarters.

I'm not too sure ETH can boom now as you said. All these coins mostly moon when BTC is up but in as much is BTC isn't stable at this moment I don't think ETH can run ahead of BTC. ETH is a potential coin with a great backup but every coins lies in BTC growth. I know ETH will certainly boom because of BTC halving but that should be once BTC starts mooning.

You are right, as long as the price of Bitcoin losing its value will have less chance for ETH to increase its price. Now Bitcoin is in unpredictable stage whether at the current price the Bitcoin will be stable or not we don't know, even ETH price is based on the price of Bitcoin. We are very close halving so there is a huge chance to decrease the price of Bitcoin.

Ethereum is having resistance at its market price of 130$ comparing it to bitcoin it already has a lot of potentials and it already has its volatility.

In terms of price fluctuations,i think the cryptocurrency market had a difficult year in 2018. Ethereum, which has reclaimed its #2 position in terms of market capitalization. Of course we all know that bitcoin is still the #1 crypto. Year 2018 the ethereum price drop from 1000$ to 140$ but i feel that ETH price will recover as soon as possible to its previous dominant values after the network issues will be solved. Who knows? Maybe this year it will start to pump just like bitcoin or maybe overcome it.

Yes, Eth and most of the currencies out there are very dependent to bitcoin price because once the bitcoin will goes down the eth price also goes down. So we can expect that the Eth price will boom once the bitcoin price will start to skyrocket again.

Let me just remind you, mate, that there were so many times when everything seems to be all set for a boom that we suddenly surprised with a fall. That was the thing that happened just several days ago. The forecast of ETH was $300. And I was one of those who really believed it. But then all of a sudden, the forecast was proven to be so silly. yes, eth is set to boom now, just like btc, but asides from eth, i think the whole market will spring up same way with btc as it pumps. btc seems to lead the market both in bull and bear season. as it goes down, all other alts go down with it, when it pumps also, all other alts pumps with it. the market is nott predictable, we just following the trend and hope for more profitable season in the crypto market.

Ethereum has never been a bad investment for so many years but talks about its ability and explosive opportunity in the near future, I'm not too confident that ethereum has the potential to lead in that regard when I haven't seen its boom for a long time, the price can only move in relative range and in accordance with the adjustment of the market, do not see the high flying. I agree with this, if all is not going to happen that fast and maybe the price will fall $ 100/ETH if bitcoin has fallen in price like some time ago. so don't expect ETH to boom in the near future

It seems like there will be kind of bull run this week as ETH and BTC with others have been making positive move. I really do expect more growth this week and do anticipate it comes to pass as market has faced huge drop down. Bull run is what everybody have been expecting as some thought crypto is dead which can't be possible. Let's hope for the best this week.

The current momentum of the market looks quite fine if the market keeps this momentum so it may takes few weeks to fully recover the market I guess anyways crypto community has high hopes for ethereum hopefully after market conditions improve then we may expect something positive with ethereum.

It all depends on the price of Bitcoin. I still remember 2017 when Bitcoin rallied to $19k ETH rallied to $1k. I do not expect Bitcoin to do the same this year but it will pump just before halving and the same will happen to ETH.

Historically it is always the year after halving when Bitcoin has created a new all time high. I expect the same to happen next year.

before that happen ETH increase its price without the help of btc at early 2017, then make thier own demand by having this ethereum platform and make many succesfull ICO that year.

It will not boom quickly when the situation is even chaotic, the increase that occurred yesterday was only a small temporary recovery that is not necessarily to continue to go up all day because when the situation is still chaotic, prices are still very likely to be corrected and then weakened for the next few days. But however we only need to be patient and still maintain confidence to keep holding or maybe buy more, because when the situation returns to normal it is very likely that a more significant increase will occur quickly.

I understand that everyone is expecting something from ethereum and that is totally realistic however have you checked what ethereum has done in the past 1 month alone?

I know that there was a market movement so ethereum didn't moved too much out of the market but it was seriously crazy honestly. Just this month we have seen both 274 dollars as the peak and we have also seen 105 dollars or so, that means ethereum is seriously risky and nothing really moved as much as that.

Bitcoin for example didn't moved like that, even  right now ethereum is lower than what bitcoin dropped so ethereum is affected more. Long story short, ethereum could go up and it is destined to because if it doesn't it looks like it is not liked at all and drops more than others.

That's too difficult to happen right now and you must think about the possibility for the corona virus to make the whole of countries fallen into the recession. I can expect if bitcoin will not have the same rally as what has already done by bitcoin before. We are facing a very difficult time, difficult situation and condition where so many countries have already stopped their financial activity.

I would also like to believe in it. But I am sure that sooner or later Bitcoin will update its peak value. And I would also like the dominance of Bitcoin to decrease and the movement of altcoins not depend on the movement of Bitcoin.

according to my observation, that the price of ETH and several other altcoins follows the bitcoin price movements. although not completely but Bitcoin is still a benchmark for the increase in the price of ETH and several other cryptoqurrency. You can see that the current price of ETH starts to rise following the price of bitcoin, maybe in the middle of the year if BTC can touch $ 8k - $ 9k then it is very likely that ETH and other top altcoins can increase significantly again.

Bitcoin price and ethereum price (or any altcoin price) has this very clear connection between them. Lets say that one xcoin worth exactly 0.1 bitcoins right? In that case when bitcoin is 5000 dollars the price of xcoin will be 500 dollars, when it is 6000 dollars it will be 600 dollars so basically as long as the price between xcoin and bitcoin is still 0.1 and doesn't change, the price of xcoin will only change when bitcoin price changes. Ethereum/ bitcoin pair usually stays the same during this big times, which means when bitcoin drops the price of ethereum drops as well, when price goes back up the price of ethereum goes back up as well.

The only exception happens when ethereum to bitcoin prices change because in times like this people buy bitcoin with ethereum, they later sell that bitcoin too but bitcoin increased when you bought it with ethereum and dropped back to what it was, so no change yet ethereum only got sold so it changes.

ETH getting pump up because of BTC gaining some raise, I don't see any possible reason eth would get as much as high of what you think as long as it price spike depends on btc pumps. Even with its near approaching halving it would not make any difference as bitcoin still dominates the chart unless ETH make its own run and that thing would happen.

Crypto market was depended on BTC before its value still dependent on BTC now. Your investment list is very good as a long-term investment but currently should only use 30% of assets to invest because the market is now very difficult to predict and you can risk if not careful. You should take a look at how the price of steemit was getting drowned after the screenshot for the hive token has already taken by justing and his friends. Have you checked their recent chart? They correlates with each other , and not just only Bitcoin and Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash is correlating with the both of them. There are lots of other coins that are following the same pattern and when the price of Bitcoin starts to go up, I know for sure that they are going to increase in price as they will all follow the same pattern.

The market has been recovering and ETH is currently 135 USD and has been stable at that price for quite some time. I’m believing that the price will keep going up, I won’t be surprised if a bull run should happen at this point of time.

Unfortunately, we are back to square one where everything has fallen to its normal price last week. it seems like all crypto market price is determinant on bitcoin price. whenever the price moves up the rest follows and when it goes down, they repeat the same. the dominant force of all these trade is the USDT but i think the market rely heavily on BTC/USDT Movement.

Selling does not have a specific time. It spends on the market trend. The market right over uptrend for more than two days and within a few hours there can be a sharp fall.
It is most times better to invest in BTC to limit your loss, but with ore reduced profit, if what you are buying is not much, however, the reverse is the case if it is ethereum. With many funds, you should be able to invest in BTC  with better returns or better still share it on both.

Selling has to be done at the right timing, that is correct especially if you are investing for short term only, but for long term investors, they'll need to find the good timing based on their target as well, that would mean it could take a long time if the market is not bullish.

I agree with you! This is what I have been waiting for. The rise of my favourite coin. It seems like ethereum does not booming for the rest of the years since the ATH of bitcoin and ethereum (2017). But today, I can say that it will continuously move up until bitcoin halving happen. I have already 2 eth in my pocket, and bought during the price of 121 usd.

IMO, there is nothing special with ETH right now, I've seen that price movement many times but this time around bitcoin is quite more bullish than any other coins in the market. It already crossed $10,000 today, so I expect for bitcoin to rise even more and ETH will just the same like other coins that will follow, ETH really needs something big to announce like the ETH 2.0, if Vitalik assures it will happen this year, then maybe....

All the time I have seen bitcoin prices rise.Etherium prices rise. It would be good if this strategy worked.But Etherium will have a good time now.If the price of Bitcoin continues to rise. It is expected that all alter coins will continue to rise in price.

Ethereum will rise more than 1k this year and it is still the same of the movement of the bitcoin and we know ether are following the movement of the bitcoin bitcoin value now is nearly 10k dollars while the ethereum is 250 dollars plus and I thinl this month the range of the ethereum value is 500 dollars or more and I think it will continue the rising.
