Title: Oqex Exchange
Post by: CryptoLordguru on March 27, 2020, 12:49:02 PM
There has been a new arbitrage group in telegram which is adding people without their consent and showing them differences in prices between Binance and Oqex like it is $6655 per BTC in binance where as showing $7242 per BTC in Oqex which can attract people to fall for it if they don't do research on it before making any trade. I was also added in that group and noticed it immediately that it has adopted the same marketing plan like bituary exchange (scam or not, I will make another poll for it). I marked it as scam and left the group but I heard in one of the group that someone got scammed after transferring 0.6btc to Oqex. So what do you think? Scam or not?? write your experience to let others know about it :)

open a scam accusation with this exchange if you think the price is different so  no one will fall with the fake price they given.

Actually they have a good review all do its just unpopular exchange.

Checking the price different exchange.

The price $6380 in oqex 24hour's highprice is $7400.

It looks like the market is manipulated by bot base on the daily volume and market movement in that exchange.

It's likely a scam. I have never heard of them and it seems that they are taking advantage of the situation and looks for the victims that will bring their emotions upon seeing the price is better on their platform.

But my gut feel is that they're making their name close to "okex" and those people that aren't aware of the spelling correction might think that they're okex. I can't see their website, is it just a telegram group that conducts trade there?

What do you mean by opening a scam accusation? where, how to do that? :)
Where did you check their reviews? Is it a reliable source to trust whether the reviews were made by genuine people? Can you please share the link to that source?
Have you ever used that exchange?
The admin of one telegram group tagged it as a scam exchange and asked everyone to stay away from it as one of the follower lost 0.6 btc in there after transferring the funds.
It could be the bot actions but it is too good to believe :)

I agree with you. Their name was the first red signal to me which is a simple trick to scam plus the difference is so big plus I was added in their telegram group without my will plus someone already got scammed.. All these provide a clear cut signal which people should take into their consideration before starting to trade in there. Stay safe amigos!!

Are you a member of some other telegram groups? maybe someone from that the same group as part of their team and he's importing all of the members thereby adding without their knowledge. I guess you can do that in Telegram, I am not so sure.

But much better to follow a protocol that whenever you don't know an exchange, don't spend your time knowing more about them if you are in doubt. Just completely ignore and avoid them for your safety.

I am member in many telegram groups. You are right on how they are able to add me but thanks to them that I can raise flags about them as I am pretty aware. I got added again in one group (link: https://t.me/ArbitrageBest43) which i marked scam as well.

Avoid and report them if they keep on adding you back.

I don't know how many reports Telegram needed for a group to be marked as a scam, just do your own initiative whenever they keep coming back for you. Also, keep informing the people here and there that such a scam group exists.

And remind how they scam people.

There is already a thread in the Scam Accusations, this exchange is very suspicious, so you don't need to try it, I have also participated in arbitration, but whoever put me in there may be scamer pulling telegraph users to see it and looking for victims to use the exchange.

I have never heard this exchange name before today. Just try to visit the site. The site design really awesome ::) Looking on the footer page and see some social links icon try to visit and see Facebook and twitter account already have deleted for violating the rules. ;D

By the way, the price of the coin in this exchange is really high which easily attracts any arbitrage trader. And this the main trap of scamming people. We all should think when we will see such a greedy offer before making any deposits.

I do not know if it is a scam exchange or not, I have never heard about this exchange before this thread. The same is looking like they are trying to impersonate OKEX exchange, if that's the truth, they are doing very shady rask here. I really hope people do not get into this phishing method.

Can you put the link that connected to Oqex exchange?

There is similar name to this exchange namely Okex exchange which is successfull to be use by many user here.

Logically, if new exchange will just have a few users and you should realize there will be imposible if the exchange only have a few user but the volume is high. That is one concern before you join to this exchange. Be carefull as well there are a lot of people which have been scammed by new exchange moreover if the exchang give an offer for the interesting profit.

see im correct . this name sounds like okex and other users also noticed it  but thier name isnt really close or too obvious   . still copy cats are shady especialy if they want to try to copy the sites overall features and design  .

whats more shadier is the fact that they are automatically adding people on thier groups without people knowing . if im one of those i will be mad because they add me without my permission   . actually that also happen to me before and i was pissed off   , because they are alot of them   .

I have never heard of this exchange, may it be a new exchange or it is a scam exchange. If you are intending to enter into this exchange, you should research it carefully. I personally never join and use new exchanges because it's too dangerous, exchanges can become scams at any time.

Anyone who fall for this should be considered a foolish and greedy human being, there is no exchange with the name Oqex in crypto space, scammers build the exchange to lure greedy people

It is a scam exchange. Once you deposit money they block your withdraw and tell you to upgrade account to institutional and for this you need to deposit 25000 $. None succeed in getting their money back, they just block your money and transferred the money from a user address to a different address that the users don't have access.

Well to me it's not ideal calling a project scam until a proper research is made about the project and you have some proof to show that you are right or wrong, to me if i don't know about a project i won't mention scam till i get the real fats about of the project.
so i urge you to do proper research before mentioning scam. to me i don't know about them

Sim, infelizmente cai nesse golpe.

THIS IS CONFIRMED SCAM. I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM MYSELF, please BE AWARE and READ BELOW for details.

This is my first post here, because I want to share my experience in order to save other people the trouble and money.

I was lured via Telegram into an allegedly trading arbitrage channel. The only arbitrage performed there was binance VS oqex.io.

Then I decided to try the exchange, they allow you in right away, KYC is done immediately (probably none) and you can deposit BTC immediately.

They let me execute two transactions, the first one took a long while, I think because it was authorized manually, but before executing the third I decided to investigate.

Please be aware that the exchange looks professional and completely legit! Don't let it fool you!

Here are some facts:

1. No-one from support ever replies
2. There is an "official" telegram group full of scammers trying to get you to trade
3. The Telegram group looks legit, they have 8k members and counting, so watch out!
4. The admin - @violet_oqexsupport - even writes to you, tells you that there are no limits on BTC transfers, but the anti-arbitrage bot might block you, you should pay a permanent unlocking fee to developers or deposit 25000 USD for Institutional account.
5. She sent me a shady link on tawk.to with a supposed developer on the other side, which asked for my e-mail to process the BTC unlocking fee. And... I gave the wrong e-mail on purpose, but they confirmed I was a registered customer nonetheless and I should pay to the given address. Can they at least check the database? :D
6. I got even more suspicious obviously and asked for contract, EULA, agreement, whatsoever to confirm the unlock before I pay, they said I'll get it after in my email. So I closed the chat.
7. After a while few people on the channel tried to incite me to invest more
8. Other people from the channel tried to warn me they're scammers and they can help get my money back for 20% fee, from a company called VibrantEagle. This is probably either another sucker scammer or a very well plotted scheme :)

Long story short, I got away with some little profit, a small disappointment but it could have gone a LOT worse.

I hope it helps whoever stumbles upon them and they close for good.

If some action can be taken legally, please proceed immediately if you read this! I'm willing to testify if needed.

Good luck to you all!
