Just checked all my wallets which I do from time to time, and found out I received 67,000 XPl exclusive platform token I did not remember promoting such a project but after doing a research I found that I did participate in their bounty campaign but that was january 2019 that's over a year, how about have you received coins that you forgot that you promoted in the past.

The developer last post was over a year and the project is inactive I don't know if I will be happy receiving it since the project is not active anymore just one of the project I  wasted my time.

Same thing as we received 888K Kick token we didn't promote. I don't remember promoting the project but we can see many people are talking about receiving KICK. This were meant to be a marketing for the project like they said but they are just giving a lot of it like its going to die if its going to have value and dumped.

I participated on some airdrops and later I forgot about that but when I open my wallet then I found lot of tokens but only two of them got values and not worth trading so just let them sleep their maybe some day it will worth like a bitcoins. :D

I really hate this incident, the project has been done for a long time and the distribution is very long. After a few months or years they send their tokens but it will make me emotional because it turns out that in quite a long time they haven't progressed, they haven't even been able to trade.

It was a random airdrop from this project. They will radom the wallets and send a number of Kicktoken. But you will not be able to sell those tokens because they have locked them, until now I have not seen their new schedule. It seems the project is dead and no longer cared for by the developers

I haven't received any kind of token that I've forgotten, but if they give the tokens that it will be still useless like their projects.

I have promoted some airdrops and i were getting a big surprise to see there were old coins already available in my wallet. I remember if i was also participating in energi airdrop and i just got surprise if i were also forgetting if i have ever participated in the such airdrop. I have ever received coins or tokens that i promoted it in the past.

I didn't participate in the airdrop, so I never received a token from a strange project. Sometimes I get some tokens from someone but these are fake and invalid tokens. I join a lot of bounty but only a few are paying me, really bored with the bounty situation at the moment.

When you participate in a very large number of bounty companies and even in airdrops, then I also have such moments, sometimes I get tokens and start checking what kind of tokens are and it turns out that I participated in a bounty company or airdrop of this token.

Of course yes, I participated in a lot of airdrops in 2017 and 2018. After a while I received a lot of tokens and I don't remember that I participated in their bounty and airdrop, some The airdrop has helped me a lot of money but there are also many airdrops that are rubbish, and until now it has not been listed in any exchange.

They said so but it seem their site still up. They might not have updates for their investors but it looks to me they are waiting as well for the market to be stable. Many developers seem to have such plan otherwise they have already let their domain expire like the scammers would do.

I have also receive more of the tokens I don't remember so its been airdropped to random addresses like the VENT tokens and LEND.

I have also received several tokens from useless projects over the years, even though I have never participated in any of their programs. But they still found my wallet address and sent in there bullshit and no valid tokens

I have curiously joined some bounties about two months ago, somewhere around 10 of them. Guess what, I have not received a single coin out of them although the coins were supposed to be sent weeks ago to my wallet.. So yeah, bounty hunting is a time waster.

This actually the reason why many members leaving to participate in a bounty campaign because they know how project works . They delaying the payment and sometimes there is no payment given for thier advertisers.

Your lucky you only works 2 months in a bounty , many people experience to join in a year and only few project paid them before they leave any bounty participation .

You may have participated in scam campaigns. or you do not follow their rules to be able to receive tokens. I also joined a lot of bounty and I got most of them. But what worries me is that most of the tokens are shit and they are never listed on exchanges.

Bounty now is different from bounty a few years ago, now we have to be very careful to choose a project. Even projects that are considered good by many people can be a scam.

The incident was almost the same as what I experienced, remembering to forget that in the past I had promoted a bounty campaign, almost a year and less than 2 months and that I had received around 58,000 tokens from trusted platforms. The time that has been mobilized so long has not yet received a favorable value. Hopefully there will be changes over time

Currently KickToken having really bad reputation, especially in Russian speaking community, it's CEo well known scamer. Fake volumes and manipulation with Circulating Supply on CMC that created fake Market Cap, so don't pay much attention on this tokens at your wallet.

Even though I have received a few tokens that I have never promoted it, it seems that those projects make some airdrop radom and we can get it randomly. But those tokens are junk and have no value in this market

Yes there are project ditributing a tokens free for those who have eth balance in thier wallet.  I also recieve some tokens from a project sometimes its tradable but sometimes its just a shit project without exchange and value.

They are using this method to have new people got interest about thier project and checking what thier project have.

Yes, there are times that I received some tokens but I dont mind since most of them dont have value. I remember also when I receive something in my mew with names with hyperlink or html site. Im asking some of my friends and they say that these are just spam tokens that users who created tokens to practice or have randomly sending to different users. But this kind of way is so annoying cause of course we want our asset or tokens that have value on our wallet right? Not these display tokens.

As a reply to the earlier members telling me I must have entered scam bounties, anything is possible. It was more of a test to see what the hell is going on with these bounties and I've mostly joined Telegram bounties. I did follow all rules thoroughly.

I am more than sure there are legit bounties out there. What you need to do is make sure what you're working for is worth the efforts. All respect to the legit bounties and I'm truly disappointed by the fact that scams have overrun the legit ones. But all in all, we're supposed to first research before supporting and joining anything. This is decentralization. Free for all. :)

I have quite a lot of cryptocurrencies that I have received from bounty campaigns that I have joined during the Bounty boom period. I have joined too many that I have forgot and lost count of them. Some projects do not distribute until the end, or some even many months or a year after, of their token sale. Tired of waiting, I moved on and realized only when they send rewards in my wallet. I call it dead money. Of course, some have good value but some totally lost out in the market.

I am not sure this has happened to me before, some could call it unlucky lol.
I have participated in so many bounties and be faced with two options, its either i get paid, or team refuses to pay.

But to be honest, 2018 till today, if i receive a token from the past, i would definitely not remember

i have recieved many tokens without knowing where it came from. not even a dint to remember if i participated in the project or not. majority of those tokens are useless because you cant sell them. developers just send to people to fulfill righteousness or leave a traceable step of existence.

LOL... this has happened to me a couple of times. The last time I participated in a bounty was sometime in 2018. But even in 2020 (almost two years later), I continue to get tokens credited to my ERC-20 wallet. Back then I had participated in a large number of bounties and I had given up on some of the campaigns where it looked like the payments are getting delayed. But now I am surprised to find the rewards getting credited, after such a lengthy delay.

I have gotten a few KICK, but I feel that I have never followed a gift or anything before. When I see his price in the market it is not happy enough, but I will continue to hold it until he has a decent price.

Yes, there have been numerous occasions when I have recieved tokens for projects which I had promoted but forgot. As well as projects that I had never promoted but still got them credited to my wallet as a prmotion . There is nothing new about it.

I still dont think the distribution was not random, there is possibility they give to that address because you have a certain named token in the wallet. I think having an interesting token in your custody should demand joining the respective community,get update on the token and ask any relevant question like this. Liquidity is not an attractive feature for most token with the state price volatility in the space, and is the reason for the token lock. More also, project team are not active with the economics of their project token.

A few times I've received an altcoin via an exchange holding or distribution in that way and I had no knowledge of it previously.   Nice surprise and probably good revenue for the exchange itself.    I also have coins sent to an exchange address by the developer when I had asked them not to, unfortunately my message was not passed onto the person operating the wallet so they didnt use my wallet address but an exchange and the exchange refuses to handle that token so its been locked there 2 years  :-[

It's very much active, check their medium account the latest post was on apr 1. Plus they are launching KickEx (exchange) which will play part in unlocking tokens.

Yes but some of them were useless. But if you got lucky maybe that has value. Its always good to check the value on dex by uploading the smart contract like example on forkdelta. We dont know but there are times that we can see a hype on some tokens that we received though they arent listed on trusted tracker such as CMC. This is what I like about erc20 tokens, can be sell whether its not listed on exchange as long the tokens arent locked.

I have had received tokens from bounty campaigns before but same problem, no more market to sell and if there's exchange for that token, it is not worth selling. I remember one project that I joined for so many months, I did receive my share but worthless when they hit the exchanges. So with my current campaign that I am now, which I am more than 1 year in the making, I will stick to it even if the pay is not comparable to others. At least I know that they are legit and will pay their participants. If the project is already dead, don't expect that they will miraculously get some value later on.

that's not too bad than not getting a sign at all after promoting the bounty project at the time. as I used to remember that I participated in the Ez365 & Emjac prize project in 2019 but no one paid me at all & it seemed that the project was dead too, no progress at all.

In one year you could have 4 to 6 signature campaign and at least 10 to 30 social media campaign and it's hard to remember all of them if you don't have a record of all the bounty that you participated in, right now I'm checking all my files to see other campaigns that i've participated in, and there are to many of them.

Why why you received now when project is not active anymore, that's so unfair, I suggest you reach out to the team maybe they have a plan, if it's already dead there is no reason to send out the tokens to bounty hunters or maybe the team decide to bring it back alive now

There used to be a campaign from a project that stopped their campaign in just a few weeks and there was no confirmation whether it was a success or a failure. but after a few months, there was confirmation from the team that they managed to get an outside investor and succeed. they pay participants with their expensive tokens and some in ETH. outside the rules but it benefits the participants. but when the project that was followed there was no news and more on the scam then we must not expect the project like that.

I see a lot of people with this kind of story and experiences. Well its people because on daily basis we see different projects that we come across. Some times people promote projects they don't even know about. So its understandable to see tokens and coins you don't remember promoting.

Recently I checked my wallet through etherscan and I see that I have many altcoins but sadly most of them doesn't have value which means it is a shitcoins. There are some that have value but their price is not good because it is too cheap for me. I'm sure that there are also people who forgot to open their wallet and they do not know that they have received tokens from the bounties that they participated before.

I always check my wallet from time to time to know if I've received any token or coin because most will dump in value and if you quickly noticed the newly received token you can sell asap and make something out of it

I haven't had such experience like that. I joined dozens bounty campaigns but most of them didn't paid until now. After the campaign ended all their social media like Telegram Facebook and Twitter become silent, even that bounty manager can't contact them.

Nope, I'm always active on every single bounty projects I promoted, even if I have to receive any token today I'm already expecting the token to land in my wallet, if any bounty project failed to pay and still active on their group I will still keep hoping

Well some tokens landed into my wallet and I really forgot that I promoted those projects maybe there were airdrops that I signed before and their prices are very low, it is worthless. I don't know why they distributed those tokens too late.  

In my case I didnt forget the bounty that I participated in but I stop thinking about it already. Then suddenly I noticed that I have additional shit tokens in my wallet, actually most of these projects are useless so I decided to stop following about it.

Im not really lucky in bounties I can count the projects I participated in that succeed and earned good amount, those were 2 years ago.

I did not receive much of it, precisely when in 2018-2019 I participated in several social media campaigns but only a few paid me, and there were also tokens that did not have a good sale value and were not yet listed on the exchange. This is very sad.

I've also experienced things like you said but at that time the tokens I received could still be sold and I also get satisfactory results, but if now there are still many projects that I follow but a fee I have not earned if They still appreciate our hard work I'm sure I will receive the results.

It happens to me when I used to promote Airdrops, most time I forget that I've promoted a particular Airdrop until I received the tokens in my wallet, it's nothing to write home about, just make sure you write down every Airdrops and bounties you promoted and you will be fine

Not fair in what way? do they not provide payment for all bounty hunters? so you say it's not fair to them, because a dead project can still send tokens even though the value no longer exists, it all depends on the policy of the project team.

we are now digressing from the subject of the thread to our own frustration of the dump in bounty reward. This rewards are also investment for some people and dole out huge to own the token and they watch it without value. They never got any profit at any time since the purchase and I wish we could also look at it from most investors point. The market is not at the selling time and teams are not planning to do anything to pump the price until bitcoin gets close to its previous ATH

New projects of today likes delaying bounty payments for no good reason sake, they might claim that they are waiting for the perfect time but in the end it's all for nothing, my advice is to get rid of the token if it's available on any exchange

last year (2018) I received payment from a bounty in 2017. Actually I forgot if I ever participated in bounty because of a very long time, but a month after I received payment it turns out he gave me if I'm not mistaken $300

Have you received any valid tokens in the past? I have received a lot of tokens but they are mostly shit tokens. I can't sell them or exchange anything else, they are just huge landfills in this market and my wallet is like a trash can.

if I find such coins then I will find out from their telegram group. we will see whether the group admin is still active or not, maybe if it's dead I will read up to find out where they registered their coins. if they register the coin in the market then we can exchange it even though the price may be very cheap. if there is no market to register the coins, we can only make the coins in our wallet. maybe indeed this coin will only be history that we can see that we have participated in a dead program, and become a lesson to choose the next gift program.

Most of them that will ensure that they pay up even when it takes two years are shit coins.  ;D ;D. Shit coins are those that you will be surprised you saw in your wallet after along time, we forget because they are worthless tokens.
I have done many bounties and never seen many that have taken to their heals.

It mostly occurs in airdrop projects where some project decides to airdrop some amount of tokens to Ethereum users on some terms. It might as a result of how active such wallet is or the number of Eth the wallet holds. I've noticed KICK tokens can't be transferred it applies to some of this Airdrops.

you must feel stil happy because atleast they still pay you but it could be better if the coin have atleast some value so that you can sell it for something  .

like you i also experienced simillar act where i was participating on airdrop before long time ago and i thought those are not paying but after checking my wallet i just see new coins from time to time and yes they have a small value  . im happy atleast and im still waiting for these coins to moon soon  , hopefully  ?  

- I don't know if we should feel happy when they pay us or we should feel it will be the next long journey where we continue to hope in the darkness of despair because projects routinely send us junk, tokens that don't have the time are listed, so if we receive a reward, it should at least be listed at an exchange, which is the basis for further hope. However, the chances are low for projects in recent years, almost bounty and airdrop that we forgot that we advertised, those are definitely not good projects, waiting for them to list, it is better for us to look for other projects

Yeah, I do happen to get some that I haven't realized time to time to a wallet that I keep forgetting checking but it is such a small amount that I might as well not check at all. Normally, I get like 2 dollars every once in a while, for example I made like 8 bucks in all of 2019, so it is not really worth it, probably wouldn't do it if I knew now but I forgot about it so that is normal. This is something I did years ago, way before the 2017 peak times, so in total I probably made over 30 bucks to this day but I didn't even calculated it.

It is certainly better than zero, but who cares about 10 bucks a year when there are bigger chances around the forum that I can do right now and make more money right away? Hopefully, I will find a lot more like this so that I can have like a 500 dollars per year passive income from them.

As a bounty hunter things like this happens, some times you forget all about the project because it has taken so much time,you even don't remember when you did such bounty promotion, the annoying part of it is that,after receiving,you think it is already trading,but to your greatest surprise the are yet to start trading. That too bad

I always keep track of the projects I promote, when they begin and end, how long they will be distributed.  So if I receive a token or coin that is not in my notes, it could be: 1) someone sent it wrong, 2) random airdrop, for example KICK, PYRO.  The thing I look forward to the most is, when there are coins or tokens that are now worthless, some time later the pump, beyond expectations.  :D

I have also received some tokens which I forgot I have promoted and now it's off no use since the project is no more. The token was called GRAY and I think this is during the ICO run year of 2017 and 2018 when we were promoting several projects every month or two. These days I am very circumspect with projects that I follow and promote and I do this by making a good background search first

Good to see that you were lucky enough to receive the reward tokens but then again i hope these tokens will have some value on the market, last couple of years have proven to be worst for bounty campaigns and majority of campaigns have not paid even the reward tokens, i hope the situation will improve this year and bounties will be back woth full power once again.

Yes I have, It happens from time to time, some either lock the token or delay the distribution to the extent one will forget about it and I must confess it is not really a nice idea. Imagine receiving when the token is already worthless, only very few projects which delays payment for a long time ended up resulting to something good, the rest are nothing to write home about. The team of most projects are always quick to lock bounty tokens but are not quick to ensure they keep working to improve their platform.

Many times happened to me that project even distributed tokens, but they quickly swapped it into new mainnet coins and bounty hunters that didn´t check the telegram chat regularly lost an option to get real coins.  ::)

When it comes to bounties, since I'm not a frequent promoter, I don't think I have recieve tokens of project I did promote after a long period of time but for airdrops, I still recieve tokens I promoted over 3years back and 99% of the time the tokens recieved are usually worthless. For those that have some value they're either peanut or can't be exchange as there price are just been manipulated by few traders hoping to decieve gullible traders to pick interest in the project so they can dump their bags on them.

I won't advice anyone to put much hope on this project that delay the distribution of the bounty allocation to promoters, majority of the time you're a likely to waste your time waiting for them to deliver as promised on their bounty announcement thread.

To be honest, I have never participated in a bounty, but I have heard the huge number of horror stories here on the forum.

That said, I've received plenty of random airdrops to my Ethereum address. I come on here and find that they're either depositing tokens to everyone who holds a certain amount of Ethereum, or they're just picking addresses based on recent activity.

I don't pay them any attention unless they have value, and they rarely do.

This is quite impossible because everyone year I'm joining only 7-8 or few more, I don't believe that any members will forget. You can join social and signature at a time than maybe has chances to forget about joining. Most of the campaign did it in year 2018 because slow funds rise process.

yes I received many tokens from projects that I supported in the past but they only become junk in my wallet and are not valuable at all because most of the projects disappear or die

I also often experience the same thing as many projects that I have participated in. It turns out that after two years the tokens have
entered my wallet. Until I forgot the tokens I got from which projects, because I do bounties in a year can be more than 20 projects.
So it's not strange that there are some tokens that I just received after a few years I promoted them. Sometimes the tokens that
I received were lucky if the price was already expensive, but not a few of the tokens that we received were worthless at all.

I have been receiving payment from past campaigns I can't even remember anymore. Unfortunately these tokens are worthless this raise the concern the purposes of new projects not following road maps after collecting fund from the public.

Read many comments like this. Even though you receive your rewards, they are worthless and they are not enough to cover transaction fee. It's the same situation for most bounty hunters.

After checking my saved ETH addresses which have created 3 years ago by me, many interesting ERC-20 tokens appeared on the etherscan. The interesting part is the lack of the exchange in order to sell the tokens and buy the other altcoins. This is the main concern of me, if the token is not listed on any exchange, it is useless to hold for the long time.

I have had this kind of experience more than three times. At time I will just check my imtoken and see notification of coin/token I didn't even remember at all.  One of such examples is GUAR token which the developer eventually ran away.  However, most of these unknown tokens or coins came through airdrop.  I just receive some airdrop that I cannot even remember when I participated.

as I recall, the last time I joined the EZ365 project and until now I have not received a token. it's also sad that the EZ365 project doesn't have any updates either on their telegram channels or on social media and that their website is not accessible. it seems that I have no great hopes in the projects that I participated in before.

OP we're opposite, I can still remember where I got my tokens but I choose to forget them lol. For me they are all sh*tcoins that's why I choose to forget them for good. But ahh! I remember something ;D. As far as I remember, I think I left few Clams on my Coinomi account but I'm still wondering where did I get it ???. Nah! They are useless anyway so I don't mind.

Of the number of bounty campaign we have participated in the past and some of them delay the distribution, it's possible that we will receive a token that from a project that we already have forgotten, some of us just stop looking at our portfolio and update on the bounty campaign we have participated in the past, so its possible, but the thing is though we have the token, we still can't sell it at a good price.

Yes I do received coins or tokens from my past engagements in bounties and airdrops which I have already forgotten that I get to engage with and to think that I can already never be getting any from those engagements but luckily it was a surprise to see that after a couple of months not checking my account, for I just randomly join into any available bounties and airdrop which is for me is just a trial and error, I was shocked to see that I got mysterious coins in my wallet to think that I cannot already remember when and how did I get those. It was just good that even you did not expect or having a hard time to remember your engagement into such projects, still you have been able to receive coins which is a proof that even it takes time, such projects have been able to provide and manage to give you the rewards you deserve. It is just that you do not know if those do have value or not. It was just surprising to see unfamiliar tokens in your wallet that came from those bounties and airdrops you have already forgotten to got engaged with.

I do receive most tokens which I have even forgotten about and it was good I moved on from it because it turned out to be useless, that is, the price was terrible. Issues like this is what makes hunters feel bad when distribution is delayed because most projects might end up having low volume and price thus when distribution occurs the payment would have been low or useless. In the same way, some will end up not paying even after a long time which is really bad. Also, it is only a lesser number of projects that still retains a reasonable price after a long time and even during distribution thus giving hunters a manageable reward.

Of course yes! This thread makes me laugh LOL, I remember those bounties way back 2017 that are just paying now or giving now the rewards for the promotion that I have just done on their projects

2017 is such a long time I would forget that also because of so many coming and happening in the bounty campaign back 2017 and 2018, back in 2017, you can be in 10 to 30 bounty campaign if you are active in a social media campaign, 2017 and 2018 is the time that we have at least 5 to 10 new campaign and most of them are good projects.

As bounty Hunters, most of us do promote many projects at a time especially the Facebook and Twitter campaigns, and we loose count on which project is yet to reward us in as much as we get a good percent of the ones we have done, so many of my token that would have been deprived of me then when I just hunt on many project at a time. Till now I still receive some token that I couldn't recollect when I did it.

Only bounty hunters would understand that, yes, we have been participating a lot of bounty in the past because the bounty is sometimes short but the distribution of token may take a while, that's the big problem sometimes that we already forget our reward, and because of the situation, we lose interest on it. Well, maybe if the market is bullish again, we will check back on the tokens we received and those tokens that we haven't receive yet.

No i have not received one though maybe there are some that already comes in my wallet but i am lazy to check my addresses specially those i believe did scammed me already ,there is no way that i will try to find like what you did.

I did a lot of bounties and sometimes, I totally forgot a few of them. Especially crypto token ERC20 since quite hard to keep track but it's okay, most of them never hit exchange or have a good price so nothing lost.

same as jinbitoken I am also waiting for the payment for more than a year maybe until now there is no news, and I see there are posts about jinbitoken if they commit fraud and until now their token prices are high and still in the market with a pretty decent volume too

Of course, there's a lot of bounties I have participated before and their distribution process takes a lot of time, some of them took months or years, some are still on the process. So, everytime I see my wallet there are some coins that is new and unfamiliar. Most of them is already an inactive project or not even listed in the market, and the rest, their price is just trash.

yes , i have one of these positive (for me ) mistakes , i dit not participate in the bountycampaign but on one day i checked my wallet and saw that i had recieved a nice amount of populous tokens , because i recievd them for free i decided to keep tem to see what happen and after all this was one of my best investments

i talked to the bountymanager who probaly made the mistake and he said that he was happy for me and hoped the best , so i did all i can to correct this

It happens to me most of the time. Some are even airdrops while some are bounties. Because of that, I do check my wallet from time to time to see if I have received any of such coins. But the issue is that, most of them are not trading so they just occupy space.

Way back years ago, bounties are succeeding, and there are rewards in which I wasn't able to sell due to the sudden decline in the market. Projects are now dead and I jave no option but to just hold it and keep it in my wallet. Some can still be sold but the effort won't be worthy of doing so because the profit will not be even 'fair'. I'll jist treasure those coins as a remembrance for the projects I have finished before.
Indeed true. Well there are bit of regrets because it is your hardwork that you wanted to be paid but we can only accept that the market situation is no longer the same as before wherein you could earn profit from different projects and airdrops.
Some projects are only into selling their tokens and are no longer having plans for futufe developments. This results to dead coins in exchangers.

Yes, I found it very surprising when I found out through my notification that I could not believe it at first, but such coins were not able to change the direction of the blockchain.

What are you trying to talk about? I still don't understand the relationship between your comment and the topic of OP? Do you get free tokens that you've never promoted?

I have promoted so many projects in the past that I forgot some of them and only remember after checking my compiled spreadsheets or receiving them, but the worse thing is receiving these coins when they have no value, like what happen to OP, really time wasted for promoting these useless projects.

Such a story for everyone who has been involved in the bounty for several years.  Sometimes tokens of projects come about, which I don’t even remember that it was an airdrop or a bounty.  These are mostly useless tokens, but sometimes there are pleasant exceptions.

i agree, there are tokens that i receive that i do not know where and when i joined the airdrop, usually i remember for bounties because they required more work than airdrop, but could take a while until distribution

It is pretty normal that you forget about some projects in which you participated. So it is good to make a spreadsheet with done campaigns plus with dates of bounty distribution, when it doesn´t happen then you need to find reason and if there is not needed another action - KYC for example.
