the best coins of all time are of course bitcoin and you can also choose the top 5 altcoin as a long term investment. remember never to invest in any new coins for the long term

Let your first choice be the king itself (Bitcoin) followed by Ethereum and few other top altcoins, maybe top 10 coins like BNB (binance coin) or OKB (Okex token)

Monero. Opaque ledger cryptocurrencies have huge future since they the most copy existing banking system. When you use Monero no one else beside you and the one you trade with knows you made a transaction. Or how much founds both of you own. The same as I cant see that you went to a gardening store and spend $100 yesterday. And the same as I cant know how much money you have left and how much money gardening store have on their account.  2020 the same as 2016 is year of Monero.

new altcoin could have grown x10 - x 100 from altcoin that has been popular, but unfortunately no one knows what next altcoin can compete with altcoin that has been popular first, my advice for long-term BNB hold deserves to be considered with the power of exchange and hype they have can produce something in the future.

All of top 100 coins are worth to buy for the long term investment but what you need to know if you must try to do deep research to determine which crypto that is really worth to be choosen by you.

I guess you are asking about the best altcoin, else I would have replied to invest in Bitcoin. Looking in to the altcoin sector, things are not that rosy now. Ethereum was long regarded as the king of the altcoins, but it is going through a rough patch now. IMO, the most promising altcoins right now are Stellar Lumens, Cardano, Binance Coin, EOS, Tezos and TRON.

In my own opinion, there are many best coins and I would say they are mostly in the top 10 or maybe top 20 in CMC, but you said the best coin not best coins, thus the best all the time is Bitcoin. However, if you wish to add one or two altcoins then ETH is the first to consider followed by BNB, XLM, DASH or ADA , but a greater number might prefer BNB because of the team and their urge for growth and development.

If you are going for 3 to 6 months, I'd recommend you bitcoin. Look no further. No coin can be as safe and sure to profit investment as bitcoin for the next 6 months. If you are looking further past 6 months and upto a couple of years I'd recommend Ethereum as they are going 2.0 and probably are solving the scalability issue that is holding them.

For long term, 10 years or so, bitcoin will probably be much more used and probably be worth much more.

Those altcoins are really risky, we don't know if ethereum will still exist in 5 years. What will happen to ethereum if vitalik get something like corona virus ? Lol

before you invest look at the indicators of the coin, from RSI, CCI, EMA, and MA support for the long-term upward trend, then you can buy it, choose the top 10 coins such as ETH, XRP and ADA. the future is still long for cryptocurrency, we will definitely see a bull like 2017/2018

Plus one for BNB, BNB has a good development recently. They have launched and added smart contract features on the Binance Chain, also they have completed their 11th coin burn reducing the supply of BNB to 187 Million. They have enabled BNB staking too, I guess the details will follow. So many things are happening in this coin and the fact that is a utility coin of the top exchange Binance, as long as Binance exists this coin will be more valuable.

Ethereum and BNB can be good choice for long term holding based on the current market situation and I advice you to don't hold cheap coins which has no past history for a while because we don't know their price patters so it is impossible to do analyse on such things so its like investing on it blindfolded and expecting a return.

For the time being the best choice of coins is Bitcoin, Ethereum, XLM, XRP, ADA, Link, and some tokens that often enter the top 10 based on coinmarketcap, because I often make choices of the best tokens and coins based on rank tokens in coinmarketcap.

Questions like these have rekt many noob investors. The fact is that there is NO best coin anywhere. We have long passed the age where analysts can predict what coins will rise in value. Yes, because everyone already knows that for long-term investment, Bitcoin and some other best Altcoins are a very good and right choice, because if someone chooses to invest in new coins, then he has to throw away his money and dig the grave for himself.

I can only suggest native tokens of an exchange,  must be the ones that are gaining popularity like the Houbi, Vitex token, Hydax and the likes. This is because if their exchange gains more users as the crypto market grows, you are sure to have access to less fees in trading and high profitability when tokens grew. You can set the examples of it from BNB to houbi and even the QASH.

It depends on what exactly you are looking for, purpose and period of your investment, as you have indicated that you want to hold for longterm then my sufgestion would be Ethereum and Cardano from top altcoins and from overall market obviously Bitcoin that becomes expensive after every halving historically and remember one is coming in may.

Definitely still Bitcoin, in 2020 I think only bitcoin will make you profitable. So invest in it and a little bit of ETH if you have a lot of budget, never try to bet on altcoins outside the top 10 because its price could collapse anytime

I think for now the top 10 in CMC are worth considering as long-term investments. They have all been proven as a team or management. Rebert T Kiyosaki once stated to invest in bitcoin. This is very interesting.

Chain link and tezos look really good for long term hold, among big stars obviously holding good amount of Eth, xlm, neo, ada, icx is really good and do not forget a big chunk of the superstar that is Bitcoin itself which is poised to enter the next long term bullish phase.

Bitcoin and Ethereum is the safest options, but NOT the most profitable choices by any means. I made an 11x on ALQO as of lately, bought in at around 50 sats, trading at 800+ now. It was a pretty easy buy, considering they are launching their own exchange.

I will like to share with you my experience about a good altcoin that's one of my favourite coin of the century. Ethereum for a long-term is the best aside Bitcoin the king of cryptocurrency. I have invested in Ethereum in 2018 which gave me huge profit by the end of 2019 and shortly that time, I bought some coins again when the cryptocurrency market went down for hold. And currently, my holding has already gave me 30% since 2019 till date. Seeing what is happening with Ethereum now, one can see a potential pump after Bitcoin halving next month.

If you want to choose long-term investment, then you can choose any altcoin in the top 10 coinmarketcap. Because those are the best altcoins and will be profitable in the long run, just go and buy it. Surely you will never regret doing this

I suggest you invest in BTC. because BTC is a safe investment for the short and long term. and after that I think you need to consider with some of my choice altcoins like Ethereum, Eos, Tezoz, Chainlink. if you are interested, you can invest in it.

firstly of course bitcoin, other than i prefer to top 5 coin that we don't need too much worry for hold in long term. or if you want to get high change/profit of course high risk also, just need do some research carefully and choose the coin or token with low marketcap.

I will still recommend Bitcoin before 1st of May, if you can buy then do so. The other coins in my list is Ethereum but it well above $150 and might touch $200 within few days. I won't recommend an entry there. The next coin is BNB it is below $20 so you can buy now. LINK is another coin to look into.

The best crypto coin will remain Bitcoin for a very long time to come, I doubt we will see another better coin that can beat Bitcoin in future, buying Bitcoin will be the wisest decision right now

Those are very good and very well know names, I would basically support all of those except chainlink and matic only because I don't know about them all that much, not saying they are bad at all, just saying I wouldn't be researched well enough to actually support that decision, someone who researched better than me could talk about them.

However cardano, bnb and bat are all great coins to suggest and I would suggest them myself as well. I would also add in Wave to that list too, because I researched it and it looks like it has a good team and a good blockchain behind it. I don't know if this year would be the year they finally make the jump but I know one day they will, so my long term definitely includes some wave as well. Hopefully we all will be right.

Personally, I have been buying Binance's BNB token at every dip because I strongly believe it hasn't really actualized its true price. I am hoping to see it at 50usd before the year runs out. Its utility makes it one of the most sort after cryptocurrencies in the market and I think the binance influence will only make it value soar in the long run. The longterm could be relative to coin and most longterm cryptocurrency maximalist are not outrightly longterm. There is a time to take profit especially in the bull market and buy back 10-20x at bear market, also paying the bills, pay tax, prepare for the next cycle with saving and buy Lambo if you can afford it. i already wrote somewhere that i believe that better to buy tokens you already know couple years. their price fall many times and now perfect tiime to buy. projects are working according their road map and price is good now.

I wouldn't be so sure about some of those 50/30 top cmc coins.
I mean you will not lose more than 50% value of your funds, but most of them do not seem to be rising.
The easiest example is xrp - it is falling constantly for 3 years already. After 2017 crypto boom people were cashing out their xrp non stop when they saw any slight chance of growth.
And thats only one xrp, Im pretty sure there are plenty of other potentially dead coins

there are many choices on the market. all of them not only bitcoin and ethereum. when you look at today's market, you will see many altcoins that grow in an uptrend. growth, of course, cannot last this year. of course, there will be a decline that can happen at any time. what we need to do is take the opportunity we have and maybe we can get it.

I don't think it is suitable for long-term investment because BNB is a coin from the Binance exchange platform which I think could collapse suddenly because it will not always have a long place to live, so in my opinion it is safer you can buy altcoin Litecoin, XLM and ethereum which in my opinion still has very good potential and can be very expensive.

I'd suggest buying BTC, BNB, and ETH. Everything else I'm not confident about in the long term.

I think you should play safe and try invest your money on bitcoin or ethereum. Ethereum have a good trend right now the price is growing right now. If you cant afford bitcoin, ETH is a good choice to you. Dont try invest on new project.

These two coins are both profitable but i prefer the most bitcoin. I believe bitcoin will have more value in the years to come as its massive adoption will take place in just a matter of time. And as more people will come to invest in bitcoin, the greater the investments, the higher its price will become. So i'm pretty sure bitcoin will not disappoint us in the long run.

Go for old altcoins like ethereum or bitcoin cash these are the best coins and good for long term investment or you can pick in the top coinmarketcap at least in the top 20.

If bitcoin's price continue side by side between $8200 and $7400 , than it's can the a small bull run for altcoins. As per previous history, everytime there was a bull run when the bitcoin's price stayed in a price range and continue that prices. So in my opnion, we can take a look into the top altcoins which have more potentials or going to have some major events in the upcoming days. Then we can invest in those coins/tokens after doing our own researchs.

Bitcoin and Ethereum has really been sustained for long. They always come about as the best to buy once there is dip. A lot of other altcoin show prospects but moving up after a dip is not easy for them.

I think the opposite. new coins now have more chances to take a leading position than those coins that were created in 2017. half of those coins are already dead. A very good example is NEM. I think that investors do not sell coins because they have big losses and they do not want to fix losses

Ethereum has been getting a lot of attention but do you really think that it would make you that much profit? I mean it is over 200 dollars right now and if you got in when it was very low that might have helped you, however how much could you profit with ethereum in the long term? 3x at max? I mean 600 dollars is basically the maximum I can think ethereum could get this year, and that is by a far stretch as well, I doubt it will be even that much.

So, if you want a guaranteed investment that you will see your profits, go buy ethereum, I am 99% sure it will make you a profit in the long term for sure, however if you want something bigger, you should try to look for coins with a lot less marketcap because that means they have a bigger chance to increase a lot more.

the best coins for investment in the long run are of course bitcoin. but if you mean like altcoin then I suggest you invest with Ethereum, Eos, Litecoin and BinanceCoin. some of these altcoins have great potential for long-term investment.

All your listings are good, but I don't like NRG. This altcoin may seem too small compared to the other altcoins on your list, I think you should replace it with XRP or Tezos. Certainly your list will be more awesome

At first you need to understand that Bitcoin is the number one and it should be in every portfolio in major portion.

yeah, NRG is not that much suitable coin for long term holdings. But Tezos is a good compitator between the top ranking cryptocurrencies. Also BCHABC is not like that much profitable and i think MXC will be best for in that place. But the list is awesome.

Your concern is right. But every new projects don't have that much potentiality to deliver the suitable products in this current pandemic situations. Besides, there are already so many projects which are doing well to deliver the products/solutions as promise. So in this point of views, investors might be lost their money by investing in those projects which concepts are already in the markets. Instead of investing in new project, they might prefer to invest those old projects.

Well , except btc and eth , i will choose nano , ATH about 33 usd and now about 0.6. About nano it self , well , i guess u already heard that project, many many progress has been achieved.

I think Ethereum is best voin in 2020 forlong time buy. Future of this coin is bright. It creat it’s credibility in the cryptocurrency market and creat it’s usability spreadly. Now It's position is second in Coinmarketcap. So i think Ethereum is best for long time buy.               

It is better to invest in old projects that are in the top 50 for beginners, yes I confirm. To find coins with high ROI is not easy sometimes I guess or buy wrong and on the basis of it down to the bottom that we do not want, then I'm more at the safe limit of the top coins with BTC, ETH, BCH and BSV that we input in my portfolio if bullrun occurs it will add another.
