As everyday, ending the day with sleep is the routine of everyone. Same as that I went to sleep with my girl, she was sleeping next to me placing her hands over me. In between I woke at the midnight, and I wasn't able to sleep till 1:00 AM. I started to gamble on mobile, my girl has placed her hands over me. Within a minute she suddenly woke and started to cry what happened to you. Your body sense different, and kept questioning, are you feeling Ok. Please feel free to say if you're feeling uneasy of anything. I understood it is due to the gambling, consoled her promising that I won't gamble for now. She advised me, when we're in sleep and an immediate increase in the heart pumping has got highest chance of cardiac arrest. Finally it has got to be one of the memorable days of my gambling.

Lets stay safe while gambling, though it is fun and excitement source there is lots of pressure being experienced by each and every gambler as we risk our earnings for a bigger amount.

I am not feeling any complicated things while in gambling man,  I just take it simple because that's how gambling should be treated.

It sounds too much when in talks about gambling matter where you do really feel that kind of tension and stress inside you just because you've missed this activity.

Yeah, its kinda abnormal to wake up at the middle of and start gambling. Like, it does show that you have some serious gambling addiction.

wait . i read the sentence twice because im not sure if its your girl or you are suffering from a health issue because i though she is sleeping and you are still woke up  but anyway gambling is stresfful and it can cause alot of health problems if you cant control your self or if you will not take things easy like wen you win or loose   .

 i never exprience this things on gambling but i do feel nervous and got thrilled too sometimes although this does not lead to some serious injuries luckily  .

It makes sense. As we know, when doing gambling, our heart will pump irregularly. For, we may feel so excited and feel so sad in a very short time or moment. Of course, it will influence to the heart that may increase as you said if it happens again and again regularly.

Probably it will depend on time management. It may be not crucial for the gamblers. Good time management will help us to know when the right time to gamble, to decide to bet, to roll the roller, to take the chance of winning the jackpot, and many others. When I was still new and placed my first big bet I used to get those feeling where your heart suddenly starts pumping fast. You probably went too aggressive on your betting style that's why you felt really nervous but that's okay and it sounds like you've moved on from it which is good.

I guess there's a lot of emotions going inside of you when you are gambling. We all know that gambling or least when we gamble there is a lot of stress involved in it and of course the adrenaline rush, that's why our blood pressure shoot up. When we have put the baby to sleep, we quickly get back to gambling. When we are done with washing the dishes, we get back into it. When we are done cooking, we gamble once again. Maybe she has a heart problem normally it is cause by stress and depression. So i suggest that if you're gambling through mobile dont show it to her just play in secret because it might trigger again and this time it will result to cardiac arrest.

Well if you're intending to gamble more often then you should get used to experiencing similar cases as for gamblers, it's like a norm. For gamblers, experience an increase in heart beat most especially when you're losing is just a sign to stop gambling immediately as it means you're risking or about to risk quite more than you'll be comfortable losing.

Just apply some of this technique as it might help you get yourself back in shape when you experience similar experiences. Stop gambling immediately and take some walk probably within 10-15mins walk and try not to think about your just experience gambling outcome as it'll help relax your body system.

But the bottom line here is when in Bed just take a sleep and stop gambling because the more you think of games is the more you will not sleep.

It depends if you really have some problems in your health, excitement really is not that dangerous to your heart and it will just boost your mood. Maybe the excitement is there most especially that gambling is risky and the results are uncertain, maybe you're nervous that's why your heart is pumping faster than normal.

Sometimes you just need self-discipline and control your emotion and keep calm in order for you to prevent panic and have good decision making in gambling because sometimes excitement can destroy your focus and concentration so that you're anxious in gambling.

I am very careful when I gamble and I never do so in presence of my girl.She doesn’t care at all if I gamble or not as she is extremely liberal in this matter and she says to me do whatever makes you feel good no matter if it is right or wrong in moral values.So I have never felt uneasy so far in gambling but nevertheless I am careful not to gamble in front of her or when I am sleeping with her.

First thing is that be open and truthful about gambling to your near and dear ones. This is important because if some one realizes later from somebody else or so then the relations ship starts to spoil and in this short span of our life we do not know when we will leave the world and do not want to go on a sad side. My first game was when my heart jumped and not pumped  :D, this was serious to the extents that the legs that took me in wasn't the same legs that got me out of the game center. This isn't a joke back then, I lost due to my high tension around me but later was depressed as all the funds went down the drained. With a twinkling of an eyes my legs began to shake and I discovered that my legs weren't strong enough to carry me out, this was my first experience and never again with games.

My girl know that I gamble, we both used to gamble together. Yesterday as I wasn't feeling sleepy started to gamble. And she woke realising the changes happening with the body movements. If I'm not wrong, the fear of losing is the reason for those changes.

Probably that's what she senses on you, perhaps she haven't felt this before when you gamble besides her and it only shows that gambling really has some negative and adverse effect on our body. If it's the gambling that caused your health problem, then better stop for a while. it could also be possible that you already have disease before or some health issue just before you experience this chest pain and your also playing gambling that time  so you ended up blaming gambling   but still gambling can contribute some because you feel a strong emotion with it when you risk something huge but you can slow down this emotion if ever you are only playing small amount of money for fun.  it can instead released your stress so id say that gambling still have some positive effects on our health

Lol gambling is just like playing games ,that there is a winner and loser so don't blame the game for every disease we got from playing.
Positive or negative in our health is not the main concern because it is important  that our money will be managed well because this will bring frustration if we always lose.

From your story, what i get is, you seems are having insomnia (can't sleep on night) and then your girl starting scared about your health (which is kinda sweet because she is really care about your health). That's true, there are lots and lots of people living without a bed and on hunger. Myself need to be happy for having a bed to sleep. Another thing the bed isn't the problem that I wake midnight.

Same here, I also have my daily sleeping routine everyday even if it is day time. But we are different when it comes to gambling. All I can remember is that I become angry in times that I lose then feel very happy and blessed if I win. Maybe there are times that I feel so much thrill in the middle of the game but it also lasts maybe for a minute.

@romero121, I would say its Ok to wake up at midnight, but to start gambling at that time is definitely not OK. If you cant sleep sometimes at night, listen to some nice soothing music via headphones which might put you to sleep. Music helps me sometimes to sleep when I'm too stressed out.
Generally, gamblers who aren't addicts don't gamble at wee hours. You claim that you aren't that addicted, but the need for money makes you go for it, no offence, but this is one of the typical reasons given by an addict for gambling. Just remember that you can't make money through gambling. Gambling is for entertainment when you are bored. If you think you are risking huge amounts of money while gambling, then you are addicted and it's better to get some help and take a break from gambling.

I did not encounter or experience such thing like that on my gambling journey because I just frequently play whenever I have time and proper moderation. Also, to be able to avoid such complications, it is just a matter of time management on which you should play or not. Be mindful of yourself and your surroundings as well if playing gambling have negative effects on you or not. Playing gambling is really not that bad as long as you know how to control yourself by knowing your limitations on playing. Losing a big amount of money is really a risk associated on playing gambling but still this can be manageable by budgeting your money and having self-discipline to be able to loose just the amount you can afford and not more than that.

It is all the time that we have to stay safe while gambling since in gambling is a high risk kind of entertainment, we could lose our finances here if we are not careful, managing the risk is very important and we have to make a proper planning before gambling.

What you ask is right, but she has felt difference in my body pulse(if I'm not wrong, my blood pressure, heart pumping and all were high). Once she said it, myself realised the changes in me.
No, I don't. As it is lockdown, at times I used to sleep in the morning hours. This makes me awake at the night and do some work or watch movies. This time ended with gambling.
Yes, gambling isn't easy to overcome. By god's grace I believe I'll limit myself as my girl has suggested me with a schedule.

I can understand in a personal level the problem of not being able to sleep when you want because that has happened to me a few times in the past, however it is never a good idea to gamble during those instances, it is really important that we gamble only when we are fully aware of our actions, and gambling while being sleepy is not a good idea because you could bet a lot more than what you would do under normal circumstances and then you are going to regret it doing it when you are fully awake.

Better have an exact hour of sleep and not to drink any booster drink or coffee at midnight just to stay awake for gambling. You need to exercise and have a daily workout in the morning so your body will get good circulation and after being exhausted, you will definitely have a good night at sleeping. Gambling is fine as long as you're having a daily routine of exercising, physically and mentally.

I play League of Legends sometimes, I am not so good with every champion but sometimes I get in fire! What happen is that I make kill after kill, I get so excited, my heart starts beating like crazy! It's basically the same thing when I gamble and I win something big, or I get in some serious of wins, with any game from slots to poker! It's natural! Based on what ive read or what he told where he do usually sleep in the morning which i do see the primary cause on why he cant sleep in night.
When you do get enough rest and your body get used to sleep in day then they would really changed up which means you would really be having
that hard sleep at night.I dont see for it to be a health hazard since you do still get some sleep.The thing here is that you do involved into

First, the internal that is caused by health issues. Second, external like what I understand in your statement that heart palpitation was caused by your girl. Nevertheless, any of these two must be paid attention like if you have health issue then better to seek medical assistance and if it was because of your girl that you first got bothered of her behavior during that time and caused you that palpitation better talk to her sincerely and not promising her of quitting from gambling just to console her when you immediately had biological reaction without her knowledge.

You can still gamble online just be sure your girl is not aware of it, you can gamble when you are out of the house or in your study room but not on your bedtime, I never gamble in front of my kids I don't want them to see me gambling because it's not right. maybe when they are of age.

You had made a wrong move buddy, I am also a person who cannot sleep earlier and I always make something just to sleep because I don't want to have a bad feeling when I woke up because of sleeping too late, for those who always sleep so late you know the feeling of being irritated, lack of energy and cannot focus on something.

Sleeping too late just because of gambling is lot really good idea because aside of health affected by sleeping late you may also lose your money because if you are playing on a game that requires knowledge and skill to win you will lose the game because it's already 1:00 am and we cannot think well with that kind of time.

It is hard to understand your story as the description of the events are too blurry. If you are trying to say that you are gambling in the middle of the night and your girl suddenly palpitated, it doesn't seem to have any connect with the gambling as your personal life shall be far from your gambling life. It had happened to me as well. I had experienced such heart pumping thrills while gambling and while trading stocks. When you are too excited or got too much of panic then you may see how frequently your heart starts beating. Basically, it is not good for health of our heart as it may lead sudden cardiac arrest and other heart related problems. If we think about the outcome of gambling is worth than our life then probably we may not gamble forever.

At the same time, the essence of entertainment of gambling is, experiencing its thrills and suspense. But, it should be within a limit. This limit definitely vary person to person. Well, I would make promise even if I will break it, at least we are trying to fix ourselves in gambling, eventually we will be able to learn from our mistakes and we will be more matured and we will not gonna make stupid mistakes in gambling.

based on my personal experience, when I lose big time, I made a promise not to gamble again and that is because I regret my wrong action and luckily I was able to learn and able to fully control myself now.

Your borderline going closer to addiction with that mate. Gambling is purely a form of entertainment at it's core, you have no need to put any more time in it than what it is normally needed. You have quite a lucky situation tbh, since your gf was beside you and managed to luckily advise you to stop early on. Those who weren't able to stop would surely just drop dead a few weeks after or maybe even start doing shady stuff just to manage their finances. Waking up in the middle of the night and wanting to gamble cause of that is already a sign tbh. I mean, anyone who wakes up in the middle of the night and wanted to do something would consider it as bad. Once or twice maybe it's fine, but if it were to happen multiple times per month, then better check yourself up before it turns into something much more worse.

Better to reassess than waking up that you are already addicted, things are very possible if you forget to assess and observe everything. Luck is not always going to be beside you and most of the time suffering from gambling addictions is next in line. Keep yourself busy from things that will allow you not to continue this and keep you busy and stay from how you treat gambling as source of entertainment.

Yeah, he must seek some help otherwise it would be difficult to get out of it specially when he's all alone, and worse it could cost it a precious life. But anyway, I kinda think that nightmare he had was really frightening one that lessons and fear shot his head really hard that bullet of fear would hunt him everytime he wake up in the middle of the night even though having no inentions to gamble. Probably you are gambling in the right manner. For example, whenever I do go for betting on soccer, I never get any excitement compared to how I do gamble dicing. Look no matter how small and how controlled you are gambling but its a fact that once gambling reaches a point where stakes are significant and worth winning the heart starts to pump faster and I have myself experienced this when I was in my college days I used to gamble almost daily (not online but it was betting with friends and room mates) and I really felt that I was feeling heavy heart the day I used to loose and the days I won I felt like I was over the world. Been some days since I have not gambled and I can tell you, I start to feel what people say when they call gambling as addiction because now that I am away from gambling for a few days I feel like I have lots of time for other activities and a lot of bills were started to add up which I have managed to clear thanks to the no-gambling no-loss thing. lap-top and they never saw me playing some gambling games! I think people with kids should do just like you said,
